what do you might not know this but there's actually two types of quality on

YouTube objective quality and subjective quality one is objective quality is the

video quality audio quality and editing quality that means is your video HD at

4k how does it sound is your audio crystal-clear is there a lot of static

are you really quiet really loud how's the audio sound and how's the editing is

it subpar is a decent that you look good all that stops is objective quality

subjective quality is how interesting the video is to the audience how

relevant it is to the audience and how engaging it is to the audience now let

me know the two types of quality let's get into which is more important the

minimum threshold of objective quality is just standard the video has to meet

on whether or not it's good enough to actually watch or listen to you for

example the videos 240p the audio sounds like it's under the toilet and the

editing is horrible no one's gonna want to watch that and the most important

part of each video is how it makes the viewer feel how is the experience of the

video for the viewer the Bute giving you their time watching your videos you

wanna make very experienced she's good as possible

now this doesn't just mean objective quality if you have the highest

production value you put a million dollars into a video that means the best

camera gear best lighting best microphone you hired 12 professional

editors two editors but you're fumbling over your words you have no real point

to the video you're healing there no structure no one will want to watch the

video and you might as well just wasted your time so no matter how amazing your

video is if the subjective quality is terrible no one will want to watch it

because there's no value in it for the viewer on the other hand though if your

production value is below the minimum threshold of objective quality in the

middlee interesting engaging and relevant to the viewer

no one will still want to watch it because you heard their ears your eyes

to watch it and this day and age people expect HD videos on YouTube if you're

uploading 240p with a terrible staticky microphone now it's gonna want to listen

to it because you're heard there is spot once you do me that minimum threshold

which means you just have to look decent good and editing has to be vision your

subjective quality is far more important than the objective quality you don't

need a million bucks I'm making this video on a smartphone

that looks fine sounds fine I'm gonna edit it so it looks decent but since

this video is hopefully a interesting to you be relevant to you you want to learn

about YouTube and see engaging I hope you guys just sitting around and she

also comes down to how long do you spend on a video other people say you're not

putting effort in their youtube if you only spend twenty ten minutes editing a

video instead of like four or five hours sometimes spending thirty minutes

editing a video instead of 40 hours 50 hours lead to a better quality video

simply because your subjective quality is better

that means the experience of your feels what they learn from the video how the

video makes them feel is more important than how good the editing is a social

one thing stopping people from uploading weekly or twice a week the fact that

they spend 10 hours editing video and sometimes you need ten hours stare at a

video depending on how big the project is need to make sure your video looks

good and sounds good but once you get to that point you should focus on your

subjective quality know what value your video provides to the viewer and don't

worry about what gear you have useful you have your smartphone and GoPro

whatever it is to get your message across to your viewer about videos

nowadays don't need to be huge production content a ton of smartphone

videos go viral because they spark an emotion in the viewer and make the

viewer feel a certain way so focus on that rather than objective quality as
