get in agreement with what God's saying coming up next
hey everyone welcome to Wednesday's with crystal I'm crystal Sparks so glad that
you are here on my channel hey it's time for us to get an agreement with what
God's saying every week on Wednesday I put out a new video and my channels
purpose is this is to help grow your faith and to help equip you to
accomplish your dreams and your goals if you haven't done so already hit the

comments section so hey let's get into this are you in agreement with what
God's saying that almost sounds foolish right but here's the thing is I think
most of our life is spent in disagreement with what God's saying I
want you through this video to start thinking about and evaluating the words
that are coming out of your mouth and Amos 3:3 it says can two walk together
except if they are in agreement here's the thing is that we have what God
saying and then we have what we're saying and oftentimes they don't line up
we say things all the time that discourage ourselves that take away our
value that take away the what good plans that God has for us and we constantly
tear ourselves down and so there's three areas that I want to talk to you in
today's video about that I want to ask you are you in agreement with what God
says the first one is what he says about your past
are you in agreement with what God says about your past you know I have a tattoo
on my shoulder and people ask me all the time what does it say and it says this
old things have passed away behold all things have become new so my favorite
scripture out of Corinthians and why I love that scripture why had it put on me
is because I wanted it to be a conscious effort to begin to let go of my past and
move on to the new things I love that that scripture says old things have
passed away behold all things have become new all means all and here's the
thing so many times we're dragging our past
appts our past hurt our past rejections into our present-day circumstances and
the truth is we're never going to accomplish all that God has for us if
we're focused on what happened back there have you ever seen the movie
granja day and every day he woke up and it was a repeat of the day that he just
had and I kind of think about our past that way that when we carry our pasts
into our future then what we do is we constantly relive the same pain the same
disappointment the same hurt the same rejection and what happens is it seems
like our life is a carbon copy of what used to be you see this often with
people when they don't let go the past I'm hurt from a relationship then what
happens is a new person will come into their life but they'll hurt him the same
way that the old person did and what's happening there they are reliving their
past pain in their past disappointment see here's the thing
when God said that old things have passed away behold all things have
become new he wasn't saying that it was going to give us a recycled version of
our old past he was letting us know what he's about to do is going to be
something so great and so marvelous that it's gonna be brand new see here's the
thing but the Bible tells us that His mercies are new every morning so here's
the deal what no matter how much you've messed up in your past no matter how
many shortcomings you've had no matter how short you feel like you've come God
wants to do something brand new and here's what he wants you to know is that
your future is too great to bring your past disappointments into today stop
reliving what used to be stop rehearsing what people did to you and start saying
god I know that I'm gonna believe what you say about my past and if you've
forgiven and you've moved on I'm gonna move on and I think it doesn't just have
to do with us forgiving other people here's the thing is sometimes we have to
forgive ourselves of the past we've made mistakes we've done things that we
almost feel like it's our fault that the bad thing
and friend let me just tell you you've got to begin to believe what God says
about you in Romans it tells us that there is therefore now no condemnation
to those who are in Christ Jesus that means if God doesn't condemn you
you shouldn't condemn you either and used to I lived my entire life feeling
shameful and I would beat myself up and I feel so guilty and that was my way of
trying to payback God for the what I just did wrong and then one day I got
that scripture in Romans and it really hit me that if God is it condemning me
then why am I still condemning me the Bible says that he removes our sins as
far as the East is from the west so far has he removed us from remove them for
him us so here's the thing is that if God has done all that work to remove
your past why are you going back and rehashing it it's time for you to begin
to let it go the second thing that I want you to get here is what he says
about your future you know Jeremiah 29:11 says that I'm God speaking he says
I know the plans that I have for you plans to prosper you and to give you a
future and a hope here's the thing is that God has great plans for you the
Bible says that the steps of the righteous grow brighter and brighter
each day I love whenever Nathaniel is called in to be one of Jesus disciples
and Jesus tells in this you're amazing I've told you this but I've got so much
more ahead for you and I love that so much because God's letting him know
Jesus is letting him know that the good things that he's seen already has no
comparison to the better things that her had in fact Jesus in his last moments
with his disciples said this greater things will you do in my name so here's
what I like to think about in my life that no matter how good or bad my past
has been Jesus has something so much better ahead for me he has something so
much greater so much he's got so much breakthrough victories great things
because here's what we often say is well it's all downhill from here my glory
days are by I'm me and I like to think about this
that I want to be like Caleb and even at my old age I'm declaring God give me my
Mountain I'm ready for that next breakthrough there is a businessman and
he was being asked what was your best business venture this man is 85 years
old and I loved this so much he responded and said the one I'm about
to have I love that at 85 years old he had acquired so much wealth he had seen
so many amazing things but he's still looking to the future with anticipation
and at 85 he's saying the next field that I'm about to make is gonna be the
best one what if we begin to wake up with that kind of mentality when we
began to believe like that then all of a sudden we're going to be an agreement
with what God's saying because spring let me tell you God's not thinking that
your best days are behind you God's confident that your best days are ahead
of you the third thing is are you saying what God says about who you are here's
the thing is we are the worst about tearing ourselves down we say all kinds
of awful things I'm such a mess up I'm so terrible I'm so stupid I'm so done I
remember one day I was beating myself up because I lost stuff how many of you
guys lose stuff all the time I lose stuff all the time
and so I had misplaced my keys again and you know how it gets goes like you start
beating yourself up I'm so stupid I'm so dumb
I always do this I can never get anything right and so I'm beating myself
up I'm saying all these things and the Lord just convicted me in my heart and
said crystal why don't you begin to say what I say about you so now when I lose
my keys and now when I miss play something which happens quite often I'd
say this instead I did that because I'm awesome I did that because I lose things
from time to time but I just temporarily misplaced them they're gonna come back
I'm awesome I'm amazing I have the mind of Christ I take every thought captive
navin's of Christ and you know what as I began to declare those things now when I
messed up it doesn't it doesn't trip me up as long as it used to used to
I would do something wrong and I would go in and I would start beating myself
up for days and it would take so long to get over it and here's the thing is that
God is speaking good things over you he is never for a moment stopped loving
you he's never for a moment wanted to quit
on you he is never for a moment began to tear you down and if God's not tearing
you down you should not be tearing yourself down it's time for you to begin
to say what God says about you and what he's saying is that's my girl I've got a
great plan a great purpose for her life I believe that when we make one little
small bright decision then all of a sudden he's applauding and he's leaning
over the balcony of heaven and saying that's my guy do you see him applying
for that job I'm so proud of him he's so awesome he's incredible I believe that
all of heaven is cheering us on the Bible talks about that we are surrounded
by such a great crowd of witnesses and I just pictured it like a rena and they're
all championing us the same way when you go to a sports game and everybody's got
big banners and it's got their favorite team player on there I believe that
heaven is surrounded by people and they're holding up billboards with your
name on it they're holding that poster boards cheering you on and here's the
thing is you're never gonna hear the echo of heaven the cheers of heaven if
all you're doing is listening to what the enemy says because the Bible says in
Revelation that the enemy is the accuser of the Brethren so anytime that I feel
like I'm being accused for the things that I've done wrong I'm listening to
the voice of the enemy instead of tapping into what God says about me so
