10 Items Worth Spending MORE Money On? Stylish Clothing You Should Pay Big Bucks For | RMRS - Duration: 10:00.
10 Style Items Worth Spending MORE Money On [0:00:00]
All right, gents, in today's video, ten items that are worth spending big bucks on.
[Music] Number one.
Your haircut.
Now, what you're paying here for is the skill of the barber or the stylish because
let's face it, a lot of you guys are stuck with the same style for a decade for may be
twenty years maybe longer.
Why not change it up?
When you go see a skilled stylish or maybe a barber that has a different take, maybe
you've been sticking with that older conservative guy, you like him.
But maybe you find this younger woman, she just has new idea she's just graduated school,
but still has great skill-set getting great reviews.
So, go in there try something new, but don't be afraid to spend a little bit more money
on the hair.
Item number two we're spending more money on, your underwear.
And I know a lot of you guys are like, come on, Antonio, it does not matter, nobody sees
it and the stuff I've been using the particular style particular brand it works fine.
It may work fine, but does it work great?
These are your boys you're talking about, so why not take care of them with a high quality
underwear oftentimes made from a Modal – MicroModal material something that is even softer than
cotton.
Find a company that has very soft just at least try one or two pairs.
And, guys, if you don't enjoy it, well, then go back to your old stuff, but I think
that you're going to notice a huge difference and thank me for this one.
Item number three to upgrade and spend good money on, your toothbrush.
And I'm not just talking about going from a $1 to a $5 toothbrush.
I'm actually talking about getting an electric toothbrush because it comes down to oscillations
per minute.
With this manual toothbrush, yeah, if I was going maybe really pretty quick maybe 200,
this one right here, 31000 brush strokes per minute.
It's got five different settings.
All of these details are going to give you a superior brush.
And a lot of electric toothbrushes they've got the two-minute timer.
This one right here, it's by Brio SmartClean and that is the paid sponsor of today's
video.
And I have dealt with teeth issues.
I think I've talked about the story.
But, I did not go to the dentist for about a year, a year-and-a-half and I was using
a manual toothbrush and I got basically gum disease.
And what – if you don't understand, you got plaque buildup, that's bad that leads
to gingivitis.
And if I had been using an electric toothbrush, I can tell you I would have been in a much
better position.
Now, you still need to go to the dentist every six months, but, guys, an electric toothbrush
is just going to do such a better job.
Gentlemen, this is your teeth we're talking about.
Use it multiple times a day.
Every time you go in to kiss somebody, they'll look at your teeth.
When you smile, they look at your teeth.
You want to take care of your teeth, have good oral hygiene.
This is just important for how much money you're going to earn how much success you
are going to have in life.
And just ask somebody that has a horrible smile that is afraid has lack of confidence
because they got really bad teeth because they didn't brush and they didn't take
care of them and now they've got to get, you know, veneers or they've got to go in
and get their teeth replaced.
A great toothbrush is going to make a huge difference.
Again, this is the Brio SmartClean.
I'm linking to it down in the description with the best discount code you're going
to find out there, guys.
Great toothbrush.
For almost a year, I've been using it.
Again, I love that it's got this six-week battery life because when I travel and the
heads are very well-priced.
The subscription service is a great deal.
This head right here is called the XClean, it's actually a pretty large bristle head.
This one right here is the SmartClean, this is the one that they started with.
And then, I've got the ProCLean.
I really like this one.
It's a little bit smaller and allows me just – I feel like it gives like a little
bit of a deeper polish and everything.
And in case you're wondering, the toothbrush actually has five settings.
It's got the clean setting, it's got the white setting, we've got the polish, massage,
sensitive.
Just a great toothbrush, guys.
I'm linking to Brio down in the description of this video with the discount code.
The best one you're going to find here on the internet.
Use it or lose it, guys.
It's a great company.
Great toothbrush, highly recommended.
Now, the next item on the list I know a lot of you guys knew would be on the list and
that is shoes.
Spend good money on shoes when you can actually make the upgrade.
Understand that most shoes are cemented.
That means they're held together with glue and they are made from poor quality materials.
Those are going to be shoes usually about under the $100 range, the uppers are going
to be made from an inferior type of leather and is going to fall apart, is not going to
age well.
What's great about good pair of shoes is that they age well.
Over time, they start to look better and that you can actually get them re-sewed.
So, that is the key area you want to look at when identifying quality shoes is the sole.
You're either looking for a Blake stitch or a Goodyear welt.
Now, a Blake stitch you can tell when you look on the outside you're not going to
see any type of stitching, you will occasionally see stitching around here, so I know that
it's been stitched together.
This one has a rubber sole that's been Blake-stitched.
A lot of Italian shoes are made with the Blake stitch.
This shoe as well is with a Blake stitch has a leather sole right here.
Leather soles are another great quality indicator.
If they are using leather soles you can tell it's probably a company that has invested
in the materials of the shoe.
When you see the stitching in and around the shoe and you see it also below, this is the
sign of a Goodyear welt.
When you're talking to the sales guy whoever is selling the shoe, look and do some research
is it a Goodyear welt, is it a Blake stitch.
Some people prefer one or the other.
I think that both are great options because both of them show that the manufacturer has
invested in the shoe and you spent good money on the materials and therefore you can tell
you're probably getting a great shoe.
[0:05:03] The next item to upgrade and spend good money
on, your suit.
When I talk about suits I'm talking about sports jackets, blazers, and suits.
The difference being a suit is a jacket and trousers made from the same material.
But, in any case when you're wearing a good-looking jacket, you want to look good, you want to
feel like a million bucks.
So, focus in on the style pyramid.
That is fit, that is function, and that is fabric.
Now, when you're first starting off you can compromise, but compromise on the fabric.
Maybe you're going to go with a particular brand that nobody's heard of, but make sure
it fits you well make sure it's the right function for whatever you need it for whatever
interview.
Now, if you wear a jacket often, this is your go-to work uniform, you want to spend money
to upgrade, maybe you want to upgrade and go from that no name company to a more well-known
company that has a wider range of fabrics and has higher quality control.
But, guys don't be afraid to spend good money on your suit.
Next up, let's talk about glasses.
So, no other accessory just sits on your face like this.
Think about that.
Guys, you may stick with one particular style, but why not change it up?
There's so many different options out there.
When you wear eyeglasses, use it as a style accessory.
Now, that may be too much for many of you guys, but maybe if you're in a creative
field you can find a way to make it work.
There are so many different ways that you can send the message by having actually options
when it comes to glasses.
And it's not just regular eyeglasses.
When it comes to sunglasses, maybe go for something that's a little bit more of a
statement something that's going to grab a little bit more attention or maybe you just
want to, you know, go with the classic something that has always worked, works for most face
shapes such as Aviators right here.
Guys, don't be afraid to spend good money on your glasses.
The next item I think is worth spending good money on, a good jacket or coat.
Now, the thing is is those are outer wear.
So, if you live in Seattle and it rains a lot, well, get a great rain jacket.
If you are over in Chicago and it snows a lot, well, invest in a great heavy coat and
a great light jacket that you can wear in the summer at night.
A great jacket can sometimes cost five to ten times more than a cheap jacket.
Why?
Because they're made in smaller batches oftentimes they are more difficult to adjust.
The materials, if it's a leather jacket the quality of the leather is going to play
a huge difference.
Then, there's the style aspect.
A lot of mass manufacturers, they produce jackets, well, let's just say do not look
good.
So, oftentimes when you find something you like, it may not be on sale, but I think it's
worth saving up and spending good money on a jacket that you're going to love, every
time you put it on you're going to feel like a million bucks.
Next up, don't be afraid to spend big bucks on quality luggage.
What you want to look at first is the hardware.
Okay, did they use good size zippers, are they coming from a good company, does everything
move smoothly.
Then, look at the stitching.
So, you want to go through, look is the stitching straight, is it aligned okay.
Then, you want to look at the material.
Are they using a good material?
Look at the small details, oftentimes the bottom of the bag, does it have small legs
right here?
This right here is a sign of quality.
Look in the inside, look at the lining, look at the design, the construction.
But, don't be afraid to spend good money on luggage that's going to last you a lifetime.
The next item you should upgrade and spend more money on, watches.
Now, I like fashion watches because if it wasn't for fashion watches I would not have
started wearing watches again.
I actually really like metal watches, very functional, works with almost all the outfits
I'm going to wear.
Then, because of fashion watches, I decided to explore some other watches out there, ended
up buying a really nice Rolex.
It's not about telling time, it's about relationship with time.
It's about the community, it's about -- this Explorer right here, it reminds me of me and
my family exploring the world.
So, for that purpose, guys, don't be afraid to upgrade your watch.
The next item worth upgrading and spending good money on, a signature scent.
Guys, don't be afraid to go out there and explore fragrances and when you find something
you like when you put it on and you're like, wow, I smell great to actually spend good
money on that fragrance.
Why?
Because it's about how it makes you feel.
If you can buy this, this is like liquid courage for some of you guys.
And you can condition yourself to every time you put on that fragrance, you feel ready
to present, you feel ready to get the job done.
And think about that, you sprayed that on you go and give that presentation and you
kill it, that fragrance more than paid for itself.
So, guys, don't be afraid when you find something you like that cost a bit more, don't
be afraid to spend money on that good fragrance.
All right, gentlemen, now it's your turn.
I want to hear from you down in the comments.
What did you like?
What did you agree with?
What did you disagree with?
What in your mind should have been on this list of items that are well-worth spending
the big bucks on?
I want to hear from you guys down in the comments.
And if you like this video, if you found it useful, please pass it around, share it with
other men who could use this information to become the man they know themselves to be.
And don't forget, if you want to upgrade your toothbrush, guys, go check out the Brio
SmartClean.
I absolutely love it, it's got five settings - the clean setting, the white setting, the
polish setting, the massage setting – that one is nice, the sensitive setting.
It's a great company great toothbrush, highly recommended.
Go check it out.
I am linking to it down in the description with the best discount code you're going
to find out there on the internet.
All right.
Using the massage on the neck.
I don't think this is the intended purpose, but it works.
Oh, yeah.
I know what you guys are thinking.
Don't – don't even write that stuff in the comments.
Dirty minds.
Dirty minds.

broadcasts and many of you have been coming back off and I appreciate all the
emails you showing your appreciation you know we talked a lot more than just
workouts we talked a lot more about nutrition we talked a lot more about the
mindset that goes along with the bodybuilding and training lifestyle so
it's a workouts for older men and a whole lot more and I just won't let you
know I know that a lot of very smart very smart very driven ambitious younger
men I hit they're not a little bit older
with the same passion and concerns and interest you are smart enough to learn
from this old dog guy who's a little bit older got knocked down quite a few times
in life and got back up my you want to learn from my failures my successes and
everything in between my wins my losses my wisdom I know you guys are here too
and I welcome you I wish I had like me who I would do these live
broadcasts when I was going through the journey of life that I could just pick
up my phone pick up my my tablet and he had a mutual interest with me that I
could do this too so you are very smart I am so glad you are here
so again continue to post your questions or comments you can certainly got a
message for I want to talk about your muscle gains especially if your man
who's a little bit older with a busy productive life I want to talk about
that it's really important that you know that you're winning the game when you're
winning in your frustration confusion and overall them just because you don't
know necessarily how this works even though you're smart you're successful in
other areas of life so we want to talk about muscle gain expectations in this
video now I'm going to do another set here while more driven ambitious men
come on to this broadcast I'm gonna talk about muscle gains also got an offer for
you to reach out for me so many men have wanted some personal attention I've got
so many ways for you to win so many ways for you to take our relationship to the
next level alright
Oh
all right I love that exercise for rear delts rear delts is a very challenging
muscle group to hit you notice that when I'm doing those dumbbell real or
dumbbell rear lateral raises I'm trying to just hit that very small muscle you
notice that your muscle development for your shoulders should be just as round
on the front as the back and if you really look around a lot of us sometimes
the miss that it's a very small muscle and it's challenging to hit all right
when I do those one thing in my head is I'm visualizing my arms being way up
here as I do it so I hit that rear delt but even when that I'm trying
to put my my arms as forward as possible they can't help but go back and that's
with me concentrating so much to put them forward so you got to make sure you
overcompensate in your head because if you don't you'll be doing this and it
becomes more of a back exercise that's why it's a very challenging muscle to
hit you notice - I use weight and I'm not afraid to use a little momentum
right as the form because wait to hit it right really concentrating on that
mind-muscle connection at very small muscles they're very challenging muscle
to hit the the dumbbell rear lateral raises is a challenging exercise but
when you hit it it's the best thing for shoulder of government tell you one
thing - lifting weights free weights is a skill just like everything else and
what I do sometimes to hedge my bed and I encourage you especially if maybe
you're a little bit older busy productive life now is the time maybe
the first time you've been training machine man it keeps you up there you
know with that rear delt hitting that muscle it's easier to control
- so I know that a lot of us and we know that hey we hear that free weights are
the thing but free weights takes a lot of skill set sometimes we just got to
worry about results and machines are great too right so try
that rear delt machine maybe had your bet while you're getting your skill set
for these dumbbell rear lateral races all right guys so I've got a message for
you I talked to so many men especially over these last three months you know
I've had some videos over on my youtube channel that have really got a lot of
views and every day they've introduced me to a whole new audience you know what
I've been doing this for 30 years I was having my first internet website 20
years ago a lot of you guys have been following me for 20 years and now we're
at this stage life but it brought me to a whole new group of men a little bit
older who want this information getting it from a trusted source someone who's a
little bit older like they are rather than the younger fitness experts hands
yeah so those videos have introduced me a whole new crowd and they have no idea
who I am or what I've done and that's okay with me because it's not about me
in this stage of my career it's all about you my efforts ago how can I be
that example but how can I come to you so I talked so many many men and one
thing that I've I've come to realize is what they expect as far as muscle gains
all right and I was talking as a very determined very accomplished a smart man
great family great business right knee now for the last couple years he's been
focusing on his fitness right so we're talking a very smart ambitious man all
right and so I was talking he came to me for 12 weeks of coaching and it's
getting so many gains and down actually it's Silvan right yeah if you
look down below on my facebook page you'll see his testimonial and you can
just see his energy he's a great guy a smart guy and I was talking to him and I
and it goes Walt Lee like ah what do you expect cuz he wants to build muscle
right and you know I'm not a type of guy to the limit you just because you're
older you can't lose muscle your testosterone levels are so low you know
I'm not that way it's all about the journey so but all about feeling control
it's about being your best right but I asked him I said well you know let's
just think about a one-pound steak you know that's all
muscle right lean beef how many of those do you think you can put on over the
course of the year right let me just tell us what he expected it's just not
gonna happen and I share it with him I said look in 1999 or my first contest
it was after thirteen months of training you know I did very well I won that show
and at 511 I weigh 200 pounds rip conditioned won the show won the overall
in my first show 15 years of straight competing doing the multiple shows
winning multiple national championships really putting myself to the test right
living it making it my career writing about thinking about it all the time my
sole source of passion a career and everything went into it
and when I won my sixth national championship 15 straight years later I
waited 205 pounds now the quality was a lot better probably lean muscle I was
leaner so it's not a direct comparison but the truth of the matter is and all
that time with all that effort in 15 years I didn't gain that much muscle
right it's all about quality muscles so when you're a little bit older with a
busy productive life you know you got over that all that overload that muscle
you got a rest recover you know but it's been weighing sometimes it's that
quality muscle that it's gonna give you that appearance of looking bigger and
you got to understand that because many times you're winning the game you're
training you're eating right you're loving the journey but your expectations
okay of gaining 10 pounds of muscle in a year when you're a little bit older of
quality muscle right not just eating and waiting ten more pounds on the scale
right listen if you've been with me long enough you know I'm not the type of guy
who limits you I mean hey as much as your imagination you want to go for but
at the same time if you think you're gonna gain ten pounds a rock solid
muscle in that short period of time and you're doing great it's just not
into your expectations and you're frustrated you're overwhelmed you think
you're doing something wrong you're changing routine after routine well
that's just not understanding how it works just remember 1991 in my first
contest I weigh 205 pounds 15 years later one in my six national
championship I weighed 205 pounds all right so
hopefully that is helpful hey guys a lot of guys would come to me that and they
want they're interested in my coaching they want me to help them with the 8020
rule prioritize things they're successful in
business they're successful and their personal life their family and they
don't want they're a little bit older they don't want the next 10 years to try
to master this and figure this stuff out and they're going all over the YouTube
and Facebook and getting all the different information from all the
different sources a lot of younger sources and they're confused in their
overwhelm that come to me and with my experience and not just what I've done

Why Jen Young Quit Her Job to Rent RV's | Leveling Up (Episode 2.1) - Duration: 7:46.
- So today we're going into Outdoorsy,
which is a ride sharing marketplace for RV's.
So you could go online.
Pick out an RV.
Take your friends and family and go have fun.
So let's go in and learn their story.
We have Jen Young who's one of the co-founders of Outdoorsy.
Jen how's it going?
- So good.
Thank you so much for being here today.
I'm really looking forward to the conversation.
- This is awesome, I mean, we're in one of the
offices of two legendary startups in San Francisco.
I guess we can start there first.
I mean who's offices are we in right now?
- Well, we are in Outdoorsy's office.
- Outdoorsy's office.
- Which is great.
But before us some good luck I think on our side,
because this was the original office for
a couple of the developers for both airbnb and also Heroku.
- Wow.
- So we got some good vibes flowing through here.
- Break it down for me.
What is Outdoorsy?
Talk to me like I'm in a bar.
What is Outdoorsy?
- Outdoorsy is the largest and the most trusted
peer to peer RV rental marketplace.
You can rent RV's from trusted individual owners
and professional companies anywhere
across the united states.
On the flip side, renters who don't have an RV
themselves can easily and simply find the perfect
rate for their vacation or holiday.
Rent it directly.
Insurance is covered.
Roadside assistance is covered.
All the add-ons that you would
need for the trip and hit the road.
- This sounds to me, cause I can be really disorganized.
It sounds like a logistical nightmare
to put all this stuff together.
First and foremost, where did the idea come from?
Let's start there first.
- The idea came from, I remember it pretty vividly
actually in terms of knowing that we
wanted to do something different.
So, my partner and I both come from pretty big backgrounds
in marketing and software tech companies,
and we we're just doing the same old thing.
Investor updates and presentations
and large conference rooms.
We just sorta looked at each other and thought,
we gotta do something different.
We're both pretty passionate outdoor people and travelers.
We knew at that point that we wanted to something.
We're just like noodling around with a couple of ideas,
and it was when we came across the insight that
there are 13 million RV's in just the United States alone.
That pretty much sit unused for most of the year.
That's a market right there.
If you take 350 days where an RV sits unused.
Times it by the 13 million available
assets that are out there.
You've got over a billion rental days.
So we knew that that market in combination with this huge
trend of millennials and baby boomers and all sorts of
different people from different walks of life.
Who want to get offline and want to get outside and want to
focus on experiences and creating memories.
We knew that we had something pretty special.
So, we quit our jobs and we sold our houses,
and we got to work building the first prototype.
- When you look at the Outdoorsy's of the world,
or the airbnb's of the world.
You look at cryptocurrency as well.
Where things are going.
You're thinking about monetizing
the excess capacity out there,
and that's where you saw the opportunity.
Right?
- Yeah, absolutely.
Number one we absolutely had to have the available assets.
Also if you dig a little bit more into RV's
you'll find that, you know, they're
very expensive to keep and maintain.
So aside from it just being an asset that somebody owns.
It also costs you extra money to be able to use it.
So in that case you want to be actually using the asset,
and if not you gotta figure out a way to monetize it.
Outdoorsy is a perfect solution for
owners of these kinds of vehicles.
- For those of you aspiring entrepreneurs,
you know, think about there's excess capacity with WIFI.
There's just so much excess capacity out there.
How can you monetize that?
And Jen's done a great job with that.
What I want to talk about.
We actually talked about this before we started.
I think Jen has a cool case that
she can share around Outdoorsy.
What is is?
- Sure let me tell you about that case study.
But first yeah, you know one of the best things
about Outdoorsy as a company for both owners and renters.
Is that there's so many different types of people
that are really interested in renting vehicles
and doing road trips and experiences,
but in particular on the owners side of our marketplace.
Because of course we've got owner's and renters.
On the owner's side we've got an owner actually just around
Sausalito area and just sort of outside of San Francisco.
His name's Jack.
An Asian guy and he's made himself a little business.
He started with a class B Mercedes vehicle.
- What's a class B?
- A class B is sort of like a mid-size RV.
It is motorized.
It's not the big large class A's that you see,
but it kind of looks like an oversized mini-van if you will.
But it's fully souped up with a
bed and electrical and kitchen and bathroom.
This is one of the vehicles that he has.
He's listed it on Outdoorsy.
He's made himself a really fast
moving rental business for himself.
At last check when we checked in with him,
I think he's made over 45 thousand dollars
in just rental income on this one vehicle.
The guy is already looking out how he can
maybe save that money for a down payment on a house.
We all know how hard that is to do in a city
like San Francisco and plus other big metropolitan cities.
So this is not only a way to supplement income,
but this is a way to hit some of your own financial goals.
Outside of just some extra money.
- Got it, okay so let's say I go to the Outdoorsy website.
I'm brand new.
I don't know how to use it.
How do I?
Walk me through the sales funnel.
How does that work?
- Absolutely.
So are you a owner or are you a renter?
- Let's say I'm a owner.
I want to make money.
- You want to make more money, okay.
Super easy.
You probably will have heard about us fortunately,
because we've worked really hard
to get the message out there.
I think the concept of marketplaces is picking up speed.
You'll come to the website and hit the main graphic.
Top right there's a list your RV button.
Click on list your RV.
We take you through four or five very, very simple steps
where you can enter in the year,
make and model of your vehicle.
You enter obviously where it's located.
You can make yourself a nice little listing ad
describing some of the cool features.
A lot of our owners like to make extra money
by making available their kayaks or bike racks
or barbecues, or they'll throw in a kitchenette set.
- So they can put add-ons?
- You can put in all the add-ons you want.
You're sort of like customizing it.
There's some real creativity out there.
We've got some owners that actually make
these like little like you're ready to go packages.
They'll fill up your refrigerator with food and beer and a
bottle of champagne for like an extra 40 bucks,
or depending on what they put in the kitchen.
You customize the listing and the
experience that you want to have,
and we take your vin number and we qualify
you for insurance right then and there.
You basically publish your listing,
and now you've got a profile on Outdoorsy.
You've got...
Of course you'd upload your photos.
So you've got a profile on Outdoorsy.
You've got your listing of the vehicle.
You've described it a little bit.
You've created some add-ons.
You're published and you're likely to get
some rental requests within 24 or 48 hours.
Of course owners can also go back.
They work on their profile.
Getting better photos and getting better listing items.
Those are the basics.
It takes about five minutes,
and you could be making money.
Literally cash in your pocket that week.
- Wow, okay there you go.
If you're looking to make some money.
If you have an RV.
Go ahead and list in on Outdoorsy.
When you started the business,
you know when we talked about it before,
you didn't just decide to start it.
And it wasn't' just an idea.
You actually did a lot of leg work around it.
I think a lot of people don't understand how much goes into
like what you put into it to build this thing.
Can you talk about that story?
- Yeah, absolutely.
I'm glad you brought it up,
because I think a lot of entrepreneurs
and young people can be enamored by...

Sounds of Brazil 2017: Brazilian Music Series - Duration: 5:46.
In 2017, LF/PR and the "A Hora do Brasil" Foundation,
presented the "Sounds of Brazil" music series
with the samba rhythm with female singers and the Brazilian instrumental music scene for the European audience
and on this episode, Luana Ferreira tells us more about this amazing project
and the Brazilian artists who were invited and dazzled Amsterdam
So, when we started this project
we wanted to tell stories while we were presenting the music in the concerts
we wanted to tell the audience, all the public,
where that music, they were listening to during the concerts, came from
so firstly, we did the retrospective of 100 years of Samba, right?
and when we did that, we noticed that the Brazilian instrumental music scene was still unknown...
we obviously know the Samba, the Bossa Nova and Chorinho rhythms
but what the Brazilian artists are doing, and it's also a tradition in the Netherlands,
which is the improvisation, the unknown sounds, and use that in musical works,
was still not well represented
so, in 2017 we did the "Sounds of Brazil"
when we had, Satanique Samba Trio,
Simone Sou and Guilherme Kastrup, the SouKast, a percussion duo
that received incredible critics, was a really successful concert
we also had the Trio Corrente, with an improvised jazz,
which brought the strength of the Brazilian jazz, as they do a pioneer work
the other program was about the female voices,
because we also wanted to tell a story of how the women in Brazil can be seen in a another way
not only the classics of the Samba, of the Sapucaí, which is also beautiful
but something fragile, more vulnerable
and we were going through a very interesting moment in Brazil in 2017
with many cultural movements, like "Musica da Alma", the "Coletivo com as 8 mulheres"
so it was the right time to have Roberta Sá and Ceumar with their extremely feminine but strong voices
symbolizing a new Brazilian woman in music
so this was very cool for us
and today I think we did a huge work, planting this seed
we created more space, the music schools here in the Netherlands already know how to teach Brazilian music
we already have ambassadors
we have now a very special and cool musical scene
and the Brazilian musicians, they are also evolving
it's a work that snow ready to grow even more
it's ready to win the world
so, in the last ten years, I feel that we were adjusting it,
many things have happened
even before I became part of the board in the "A Hora do Brazil" foundation
I have already produced, did many things here
but my colleagues Neide and Claudia played a huge role so we could make this beautiful program work
they took care of it, worked a lot... it was their baby
so we already had Luis Melodia, Martnalia, Davi Moraes with Pedro Baby...
I mean, having the Brazilian avant-garde coming to Amsterdam every year became like a....
tradition... it's already a story... that we want to tell every year
2017 was amazing
and in 2018 I believe we achieved what we wanted in this musical process in Amsterdam
I am happy, delighted, very grateful and pleased
So thank you very much, Gisele Rütter, for coming to our lives
and for bringing the sounds of our Brazil all around the world with the Turne Show
congratulations for your work
and I thank you

How to Set Up Your Online Store | Squarespace E-commerce Tutorial (Ep. 2) - Duration: 4:22.
In this video we'll show you how to connect a payment processor
setup check-out and shipping
as well as run a test order as a customer.
Connecting Stripe allows customers to pay with their credit or debit card
without creating or logging into an account.
Stripe accepts payments from the following cards:
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
You can also accept Apple Pay from customers
checking out on a supported device.
After connecting your Stripe account
the Payments section of your checkout page
will look like this
Connecting a PayPal Business account lets customers
check out using their PayPal account.
After connecting your store to a PayPal account
the Payments section of your checkout page will look like this
Creating an easy purchase flow is essential to giving your customers
a great user experience.
Express Checkout replaces the Add to Cart button
on a product's item page with a Purchase button.
It also removes the shopping cart and its icon from your site.
This is a great option for stores selling one product
who want to simplify this process and reduce cart abandonment.
To toggle this setting
visit the Home menu and click Settings.
Then click Checkout.
Scroll down to the Express Checkout feature
in order to enable or disable.
Here, you can also connect your checkout page's
"Join our mailing list" option to a Mailchimp list.
And use MailChimp's RSS-to-Email campaign feature.
This automatically emails subscribers a digest of your blog post
with images and text whenever you add a new post.
A good way to attract customers
is by creating discounts that can be used in your Squarespace store.
Discounts help encourage spending
as well as drive sales for a certain item or category.
You're able to restrict discounts to certain products
or order amounts
and set whether or not you would like the discount
to expire.
Also, depending on your plan
you can automatically apply discounts
that do not require a discount code.
Another type of discount you can offer is Free Shipping.
You can limit this discount to only apply
when customers use certain shipping options during checkout.
There are 4 shipping options that automatically apply
to physical products at checkout.
These shipping options include
Flat rate
Rates by weight
Carrier Calculated
and Free shipping.
By placing a test order
you can see what checkout is like for your customers.
You can also confirm if your store setup
is working as expected
including shipping
taxes
custom forms, and notification emails
There are two options for test orders
We recommend placing a real order
and immediately refunding yourself.
This option is for credit
debit
and paypal transactions.
Also, you can use test mode
to simulate a charge without any real payments.
This mode is for credit
and debit card transactions only.
And if you would like to remove a test order that you placed
first open the Orders panel.
Find your order, check it
and click Delete Test Order.
We recommend disabling test mode
immediately after you're done testing
so customers can check out with real credit cards
and you can accept real payments.
To disable test mode
go to the Home Menu
click Settings
and then click Payments.
Then click Test Mode.
Switch the toggle to OFF.
Now click Save.
Once your store is up and running
we highly recommend checking out the Analytics Panel.
Here you will be able monitor site traffic
customer activity, and purchases.
This information will give you a better insight
to how your customers use your site.
It will also help inform decisions
you make when changing your site in the future.
For more information
please check out our next video in this series
on processing orders.

How Should You Spend Your Retirement Assets? - Duration: 5:31.
At its highest level, retirement planning isn't rocket science.
The sooner and more aggressively you fuel up your retirement assets, the sooner you'll
be launching into your ideal retirement – whether that means selling your business, quitting
your day job, or simply shifting the balance between your personal and professional activities
that you enjoy the most.
The thing is, you may be so busy preparing for your ideal retirement, you may not have
time left to think about the aftermath.
And yet, it's likely you haven't got money to burn.
So now that you've funded your retirement, what's the most tax-efficient way to spend
down those reserves?
That's an excellent "No Dumb Question."
Investing a few minutes today should help ensure that you don't waste your best tax-saving
choices in retirement.
For now, I've got one easy decision for you: Subscribe to my YouTube channel, and
I'll keep you notified of future posts.
In retirement, while you may get lucky and
enjoy a financial windfall you weren't counting on.
Once you've moved past your primary earning years, you know you're best off charting
your course based on the assets you already have "on board."
Thankfully, most of us with a career -- or a few -- under our belt should have enough
wealth to safely sustain our retirement.
That's the good news.
But it also means you probably have a wealth of possibilities to consider when deciding
which assets to tap first, next, and so on.
For example, you've got your own ordinary and tax-free saving accounts.
You've got Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, RRSPs...
Then there's your company retirement plans.
If you're a business owner, you may still have assets tied to your business.
If you're an executive, you may have stock options or other sources of compensation to
consider.
Now multiply all that by two if you're married.
And then add property interests you may want to sell during a downsizing.
Clearly, if you want to use your retirement "fuel" as efficiently as possible, you've
got some serious financial and tax planning opportunities ahead, as you approach and enter
into retirement.
Often, retirees want to tap into taxable savings first, leaving the tax-sheltered reserves
untouched for as long as possible.
BUT, when you turn 71 the government requires you to convert your RRSP into a RRIF and start
paying out certain taxable amounts each year.
So we have to factor this in.
Then there's deciding the best time for you and your spouse to start taking CPP benefits.
I've covered this in a past video, and it shows that it's a pretty personal decision,
with no single answer for everyone.
If you're a business owner, you'll want to wind down your business interests in alignment
as well.
For example, are you planning to make use of your lifetime capital gains exemption?
As I mentioned in a past video, you'll want to prepare for this one several years ahead
of time.
Fortunately, guess what?
You're definitely not the first person who could use some help sorting all this out!
At PWL, we've been through this … well, let's just say this isn't our first rodeo.
We've got some seriously road-tested processes for getting our clients ready for retirement.
I can't speak to how every advisor goes about it, but our retirement planning process
begins with separating out cash inflows and outflows.
In other words, we account for all the places your retirement money will be coming in from
– and I mean all of them.
And then we estimate how much money you're going to need for the lifestyle that you've got
in mind.
If your inflows and outflows don't line up, we've got tools like a Monte Carlo
analysis to help you decide how to bridge the gap.
So, part of your retirement planning processes involves those left-brained activities like
financial and tax planning; investment and wealth management.
But retirement planning is also highly personal.
All the calculations in the world won't add up if they're not going to get you to
where you really want to go.
So we ask our clients to think through a ton of questions with us.
When do you want to retire?
When can you afford to retire?
How much would you like to spend?
How much can you afford to spend?
Do you want to downsize your house or stay put?
What are your favourite activities, and how much time do you plan to spend on them?
Are there acquisitions you hope to make in the next little while, like a new car or a
cottage?
Who and what is important to you?
When and how might you want to transfer wealth?
With all that empirical and personal information on hand, you can more thoughtfully dip into
your wealth.
At PWL, we establish "buckets" that represent your spending wants and needs.
Then we help you fill them from your various "pools" of money.
We establish an order and priority – a retirement plan – that makes sense for you, your assets,
and your tax-efficient use of them.
Then we rinse and repeat, because "set and forget" won't cut it.
Your investments may perform better or worse than expected.
You and your personal circumstances may shift.
Regulatory changes may throw a monkey wrench into your best intentions.
For all these reasons and more, you'll want to revisit your retirement plan at least
once a year to make sure you're staying on track.
So, as you can see, retirement planning may not be rocket science.
But it's not a walk in the park either!
Here's one small step you can take today: Subscribe to my "No Dumb Questions" channel
for more targeted advice and keep your own questions heading back my way.
I'm Nancy Graham and this has been No Dumb Questions.

Online Course Creation: Brainstorming Made Simple and Easy - Duration: 5:41.
In today's video we're going to talk about online course creation.
I'm going to show you a simple and easy way
to brainstorm your online course.
So stay tuned.
If you haven't done so already,
hit that subscribe button. And don't forget to hit the bell for notifications.
One of the tools that I like to use is called realtimeboard.com
It is a great tool
for organizing your thoughts and spreading things around.
This can be used by yourself.
Or you can actually share it and do it as a team.
Now for demonstration purposes, I decided to go with a meditation class.
I've been meditating all my life
so this one was pretty easy to figure out.
The first thing I do is I put up a tag on the left hand side.
Which is, where the person is beginning.
This is the person you are targeting. The person you're reaching out to.
And the person in this one is person new to meditation.
At the opposite end on the left,
is the results that you want them to get from taking this course.
This would be the benefits of attending your course.
And I want them to be able to meditate with ease.
Now as you can see here,
I have 4 rows and I have 6 columns.
These six columns are the modules.
And 6 is pretty common. You can make it 4 for a short course.
Or you can make it 8 for a longer course.
It just depends on what you're wanting to do.
I put text here at the top because pretty much every module is going to have text.
Then underneath that I put video,
audio and PDF.
These are the four essential elements that will be in a course.
Now for the first one I put intro.
Because I want to do an introduction and an overview of what the course is going to be about.
Explain the benefits
and what they're going to learn in the course.
Besides to text, I thought doing a short video would be a great idea for the intro.
In the second module,
I decided with the topic preparing your space.
Now, I've got the text here that's going to talk about how to prepare your space,
and instead of using a video or audio,
I'm going to include a PDF list
of items and things they need to prepare their space.
In module number 3,
I titled this one start simple.
And it's just the basics of getting started.
I decided to go with a video in that one.
And not an audio or a PDF.
In module number 4,
I picked different types of meditation.
There are so many different types out there that I decided
to go with a video talking about the different types of meditation.
I decided to go with a PDF to list several different types of meditation.
But because one of the types of meditation is a guided meditation,
I decided to also include an audio in that.
So including an audio guided meditation
for them to try out in this one.
In module number 5 here,
I have integrating meditation into your everyday life.
I decided to go ahead and go with a video with that one.
Explaining how to integrate
meditation into your everyday life.
And then module 6 here, I have review.
This is just kind of going back over what they have learned.
Also in the sixth and last module,
you may want to include a call to action if you have an advanced course that you're wanting them to followup with.
This would be a great place
if you want to sell an add-on, like maybe you
recorded a whole bunch of guided meditations,
and you want to offer to sell the audios of those to them.
This would also be a great place, If you have a
shop that sells items that they could use when they're meditating.
Maybe yoga mat.
Maybe a diffuser.
Something that would go along with their meditate. This would be a great place to add on those ecommerce items.
So this is a basic layout and structure.
Once you figure out what you want to talk about,
figure out your starting point, your ending point,
And then just go through how to get from your starting to your ending,
in the simple steps.
And whatever those steps are become the modules.
And then you can write out the text for those.
And after you write out the text you can make any videos,
audios and PDFs that you need to go with each module.
And now you have a plan
on how to get started on making your content.
I hope this video is helpful. If you have any questions,
please drop them down below. I will include a link
to realtimeboard,cim in the description.
Thanks for watching.
Hey, thanks for watching.
If you haven't already done it,
hit that subscribe button.
