Waching daily Aug 2 2018

- [Brad] Welcome to Dreamland Beach.

- Here we are.

- [Brad] Dreamland Beach.

("Oh Oh Woah" by Mikey Geiger)

We're off to Dreamland.

We're off to Dreamland Beach.

Dreamland Beach.

("Oh Oh Woah" by Mikey Geiger)

Look, baby, look.

Dreamland.

That way.

("Oh Oh Woah" by Mikey Geiger)

- We've come to our first stop.

We've just rolled up to Dreamland Beach

and there's rubbish here.

A lot of rubbish.

It's not what I was expecting.

All right, let's check this place out.

Coconuts.

Coconuts of Dreamland Beach.

- I'm gonna do my usual thing.

- [Brad] Yeah, you're gonna hold your coconuts.

Show us your coconuts.

Can I open them?

- Ah, they dripped, they're dripping on me.

There's so much coconut.

As well inside.

- [Brad] Look at that guys.

- [Robyn] Open it.

- All right, let's take this to the beach.

Let's go to the beach.

Let's go.

We've seen more souvenir shops

than beach in Dreamland Beach.

What time is it?

4:30 in the afternoon.

- It's 10 to 5:00.

- 10 to 5:00.

We're at Dreamland Beach here in Bali

and it is so crowded here.

I can't believe just how many people there are.

Check this out.

Look how many people there are.

(upbeat music)

- I came here 13 years ago.

- I told you this.

13 years ago and I haven't told you this.

13 years ago and it wasn't...

Obviously there weren't as many tourists.

And it's very developed now.

I remember it almost like a haven hidden on the beach.

It was blue and beautiful.

- Everybody's coming to the Dreamland now.

- Yeah.

The sand was, I mean, sand.

- It's good for surfing.

Everyone has a surfboard.

I think we're the only people who don't have a surfboard.

Everybody else--

- We can change that.

- Everybody else has a surfboard right now.

(upbeat music)

Welcome to Dreamland Beach.

- Here we are.

- [Brad] Dreamland Beach.

- Ah.

- [Brad] Whoa.

("Oh Oh Woah" by Mikey Geiger)

We're back together again.

After four weeks of being apart.

We're finally back together.

- Yeah, we are.

("Oh Oh Woah" by Mikey Geiger)

- All right, it's 6:00 o'clock

in the evening the 16th of July.

We're at Dreamland Beach right now.

We're about to watch the sunset.

Check this out.

Check that out.

So Dreamland Beach is like the surfing beach here in Bali.

What do you think, honest opinion, Robyn?

(laughing)

All right, I'm gonna pull my chair in.

We want your honest opinion, Robyn.

- It's not what it was 13 years ago.

That's my honest opinion.

- She doesn't like it.

I'm not a big fan either.

I think there's a lot of people.

There's too many people here for me, for me.

So many people.

Like, look at this.

There's people everywhere.

Down on the beach, look.

Oh. Fish and chips has arrived.

We're being spoiled.

Speaking of being spoiled.

Check this out.

This is what we're eating right now.

- [Robyn] Thank you.

- Thank you.

Fish and chips.

So, this is our Robyn and I, our first day together

in four weeks.

I'm based in Melbourne, this one's based here in Bali.

And it's been tough.

It's been hard.

It's been hard.

Four weeks, long distance has been really hard.

If it wasn't for Facebook I don't think this would work out.

- [Robyn] No.

- It's like we've been, what is it?

Got my attention.

(laughing)

So we've been doing Facetime almost everyday.

Every second day for the last four weeks

and it's been good actually

because we've kept ourselves entertained.

I may even throw up some photos actually so you can see

some of the characters that we get into.

Some of the little costumes that we put on ourselves

with Facebook or Facetime or whatever it's called.

And I think it's worked out quite well

because it has helped us to keep the humour

and keep things funny and not take it too seriously.

So I think it's not an ideal situation to have long distance

and I hope this is very very short term.

But for now, it's been really helpful

especially the last four weeks.

Anyway, that's it, wrap it up, finished.

Hope you enjoyed the video.

First day here with Robs in the house.

More adventures to come.

I can't wait.

- Bye. Enjoy.

- Bye.

20/24 Data Security and GDPR - Zero to Million Users - Duration: 4:13.

The security is a huge and complex topic.

But we're going to make it simple. As a start up,

You have two goals. First,

Avoiding data or identity theft and then keeping your service up and running.

So in order to do that, here are the first actions you can ask your technical team. First off, on the software

side,

You can ask them to do some code review or maybe by hiring another team to review the source code for

them.

Secondly, you should ask your team to run or to outsource some security check.

Actually it's like if they want to hijack the service but this time with good intentions. Why? Maybe someone

on the web will have bad intention to to crash your service or maybe to keep some data from you.

And the last point I recommend you to put in place is a centralized Log and Oleate system which will

help you just for security purposes as well as bug management. On the infrastructure side,

We can put in place what is called a web application firewall.

It's not exactly your simple firewall.

That's something that is going to analyze every request from the web to your software like an anti-virus

but for a server. It's going to block massive attacks as well as intrusion attempts and undesired requests

like wrong formats etc. etc.

And the last point about security and maybe the most important one is about the legal point of view.

Each country has its own regulations, but in May 2018, Europe put in place a new regulation.

The GDPR for general data protection regulation.

Here are the principle for GDPR. First, any requested information,

I mean private information, needs to be justified.

If you want to send news letter you need to ask for the authorization for it.

That also mean that if the clients refuse to share some information you as the company, you can refuse

to provide the service as well.

And another principle say that as a company you need to allow people to change their mind and to update

or delete their personal information at any time.

In this new regulation, there are several key rules to understand.

First the data controller.

Usually this is a business owner, the one responsible for the company of every data that is stored inside

your servers.

Then the data processor. It's any type of subcontractor or outsourcing company that have access to the

data. And you as a client company, you need to check that your providers are compliant and they are not

going to share your private information.

Next the protection officer.

This is the one in charge of the security of the data of the company.

This role can be outsourced

If you don't have the required technical skills.

And then finally the Data Protection Authority.

This is the legal organization that can audit at any time your company and check that you are really compliant.

Let me tell you that I am not a GDPR specialist myself but just keep in mind that's a good regulations.

It allow any company to be forced to keep private personal information.

And it also allows the final customers to change or erase it at any time. And in some cases it might

require to make data anonymous, especially on big data on machine learning purpose. That might require

on your side as a company to replace in your data every personal information just by a number or an alias.

.

Well it was a very brief introduction to GDPR.

But what you need to know is that data privacy regulation is a requirement and I highly recommend you

to ask your lawyer what you can store or not about the personal information of your customers.

And we just concluded the development phase.

It will be there all the time to anticipate the growth stage. And we are going to flip through every challenge

that are waiting for you down the road. And I will see you in the next video for the growth stage changes.

Are you a commodity? - Duration: 3:18.

Are you a commodity?

You may not reckon you are, but you market sure thinks so.

Don't believe me?

Tell me what you'd say when someone asks what you do.

"I'm an accountant", or "I provide finance", "I'm a business coach",

"I do digital marketing", "I help you with your social media presence", "I create

websites" or "I provide managed IT services".

Frankly they're all pretty boring!

These are all descriptions about what you do.

There is nothing unique about these.

Not one provides a compelling value proposition, a clear, and outcome based statement of the

tangible results a customer gets from your product or service.

Given these descriptions, I don't know how I could benefit, so why would I bother listening

further?

This is Rashid Kotwal from Revealed Resources.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, you must develop a strong unique value proposition

that cuts through, immediately generating interest from your prospects.

Don't use motherhood statements like quality, reliability, professionalism and customer

service.

Only talk in terms of results and outcomes.

Talk about the pain your prospects are likely to be experiencing and how you can alleviate

it.

What they could save.

What they could make.

Could be terms of time, money and effort.

The more specific tangible benefits the better.

So here are some examples from our clients.

A Financial Planner who works with clients preparing to go into aged care minimise their

Bond and Daily Care Fees, while maximising their benefits from Centrelink, potentially

saving themselves thousands of dollars a year.

Or the Investment Property Buyer who helps clients find, negotiate and settle on undervalued

property so they make money right from the start.

On average they secure property at $15,000 to $20,000 below market value so clients get

an immediate return on capital investment which continues to grow long term.

And finally, a Photographic Lab servicing professional photographers who guarantees

the physical prints will exactly match the captured images with no additional work on

the photographer's part or they get 110% of their money back.

Being specific and detailing tangible benefits gets attention and encourages your prospects

to ask for more information.

Now it has another benefit too.

A strong, tangible value proposition helps you value your own product or services more.

It builds your courage and confidence.

So that you can pick up the phone and write to a prospect knowing that you add value and

should at least be given a hearing.

Now, some of you might be stuck coming up with your own value proposition.

Often we're just too close to what we do and minimise our own value.

One of the best ways to find the answer is to ask your clients.

Call them up and ask what value you provide.

What are the benefits?

What did you do to help them?

You might be surprised at what they come up with.

Wrapping up, if you'd like additional help determining your uniqueness, and you can't

do youself, give me a call.

And finally, if you find this video useful I'd appreciate your hitting the like button,

sharing it and leaving a comment below.

Until next time, this is Rashid Kotwal.

Personal Branding: Why Your Personal Brand is Important - Duration: 10:07.

Why is building your personal brand so valuable and talked about in today's

market? Is it something you should be looking more into or is it relevant only

for specific industries and professions?

To understand the importance of your personal brand in today's digital world,

go now Google and Google yourself. What comes up on Google represents your

personal brand, and whether you like it or not,

95% of people today will Google your name and search for your social media

profiles before they even meet you in person or right after they meet you. This

could be employers, potential clients, business associates, and anyone who is

interested to know more about you. Hi! I am Pavlina Papalouka. I am the founder of

AwakenSpace Media & Education, entrepreneur for many years, coach and

speaker in personal branding, entrepreneurship and personal

development, and in the past few years I have been helping people build powerful

personal brands to grow their business, advance their career, increase their

income and become the go-to authorities in their market niche. Let's start with

what is a personal brand. Your personal brand is what is unique about you, what

value you bring to the world, how you communicate your value to others, what

people say about you, how they perceive you, and what image they have of you.

Personal branding is a powerful tool. People who know how to use it skilfully,

build great influence in their market and industry in any profession. Personal

branding today plays a very important role in new business and career growth

because it represents your online reputation in today's market, how people

and companies perceive you and how much they value your knowledge, your skills,

your services, and your potential. Strong personal brands in any industry attract

the best opportunities, higher payment, better clients, better job offers and are

respected as the go-to authorities and influencers in their niche. The benefits

of good personal branding are endless, especially since we now live in a global

economy and a global culture where we're all connected online, and opportunities

are not only local but global from anywhere you're based in the world. If

you have any social media profile or online presence, you already are a

personal brand. And if you don't have any social media profiles or websites,

chances are that people who will search you online can still find something on

the internet that someone else posted about you that might not be

representative of how you want to be perceived today as a professional. So in

today's online world, it's wise to be educated and have control over the

information people find online about you through taking care of your online

presence, your image, and your digital footprint. And you can even take it a

step further and build great leverage and power out of these unlimited

opportunities that the social media platforms are offering to people who can

use it skillfully. So here's five reasons why having a

personal branding strategy today is important for your success. Reason number

one is that people will Google you anyway.

Whether you're applying for a job or going to a business meeting or you're

looking to get more clients for your services and for your products, most

people will search you online before they make a decision. Also your existing

business partners, clients, associates, and employer are also influenced by your

online presence by what you post, how you interact with people online and what

image you give out. Reason number two is being visible in

your market niche. If you're invisible online, potential clients or employers

cannot find you when they're searching for what you have to offer. There are so

many people with amazing knowledge, skills, and potential that nobody knows

about, and they can't get paid what they're worth because they don't know

how to take care of their online presence and promote themselves and

their skills, their products, and their services. Reason number three is having

better clients, opportunities, and higher payments. By building a respected

personal brand you attract better clients, better opportunities, and higher

payment. People are attracted to you, find you and ask to work with you instead of

you going after clients, jobs, associates, and opportunities. It makes your

professional life so much easier and allows you and your business to grow

faster as you gain power and you are able to choose who you want to work with

and how much you want to charge because everyone wants to work with the person

who is respected as a top authority in their market niche. Think about how

you're easily willing to pay a lot more to go to the best hairstylist, the best

doctor, the best consultant, the best lawyer if you can afford their services.

Reason number four is unlimited opportunities globally.

We live in a new global economy of unlimited opportunities. A few years ago,

to get any exposure, you had to pay a lot of money to the media moguls, who used to

monopolize information in each country. Now everyone can build their own online

media channel on LinkedIn, on Instagram, on Youtube or on Facebook and unlock a

world of opportunities locally or globally. Online there are no

restrictions. If people like you, they will follow, ask to work with you and buy

from you. It's up to you to get the knowledge on how to use this power of

the social media networks to gain massive leverage in this global economy.

Reason number five is the benefits of gaining influencer

and celebrity status. You can choose to take a personal branding a step further

and become an influencer and celebrity in your market and industry if you learn

how to use social media to build brand skillfully with consistency and patience.

Building influencer and celebrity status can have great benefits on your income,

your professional and business growth. There's a lot of talk about online

influencers today. Influencer status is not about how many followers you have;

it's about knowing how to use social media tools the right way to create

impact in your market through your work and through giving value. Are there any

secrets that people who build big respected personal brands know and use

to stand out? What are the strategies that truly work and bring results? The

tools are available to everyone today wherever you are in the world. However,

you need to have access to the right information, the right strategies and

formulas that work today and implement consistently over a period of time. Rome

wasn't built in a day. Building your personal brand will take patience. At the

same time, without having the right services or products that you offer

through your brand, your personal brand can do very little with regards to

bringing you more income. So it's a combination of steps that you need to

take. I know that building a personal brand can sound like a challenging task,

especially if you're just getting started. And the truth is that it's not

easy but it's truly worth it. There are many mistakes that people make

when promoting themselves online that can have a negative effect on your image

and your business. Online if you make the wrong move, it can backfire so you need

to take careful and educated steps. There are two sides of every coin, and we see

everything in today's online world when everyone is trying to stand out. How do

you become the go-to expert, the respected authority brand in your niche

and create the life and business that you want and deserve?

To help you build your personal brand the right way and avoid costly mistakes,

I have created free trainings and guides to help get you kick-started. You can
