Waching daily Aug 29 2018

I have a funny story. Funny okay. I was in the grocery store in the aisle where

they have devices like pots and pans and pressure cookers and things like that

and I there's there these there are these two women that I'm standing next

to and the one says oh I really want that pressure cooker. And the other one

says oh I want it too! Like and they talked about how great it would be. And

then the first one says oh I can't have it. The second one says why not? And the

first one says oh that would be too selfish. Selfish she sounds like my

mother. Selfish. Probably was your mother. Selfish

interesting so this interesting concept selfish. So this is this it's actually

this interesting fits into the dynamics of the world of supposed to. So the world

functions that Third D world functions in structures and concepts -right -and then we

buy into the concept. And so selfish is one of those concepts because obviously

being selfish is a bad thing. But is it really a bad thing so- Well selfish if

you define selfish as being greedy and manipulative and take advantage of other

people and and step on others for you to get more -right that's selfish. Right so if you

said to a hundred people on the street in the store do you think selfish is

okay? They would say no. A hundred people would say no. Yeah. About but see there's really two ends to

that stick selfish. There's the one that nobody likes when you talk about

stepping on others to get ahead but there's a whole other side of selfish

that really is absolutely essential. It's that side of selfish that says I can

have for myself. And in that having you're not stepping on anybody you're

not taking advantage everybody in fact you by not being selfish you are

disempowering yourself and you're disempowering your potential. You used to

tell this story maybe I'll get it uh let's see if I

get it right used to say okay you take off your clothes your jacket you give it

to this person the socks this shirt the pants everything and then there you are

naked on the street with one sock and somebody comes by and likes the

sock and you give the sock to this person. So here you are on the street naked

completely -with nothing -with nothing. And nothing to give -ya -anybody else. See

that's the great healer I have to it's better to give than to receive. See

that's another one those adages about the world this is how the world supposed

to be and everybody falls into supposed to. Right into this regimen well is that

really how it's supposed to be? So what if you back out a 3D and you start

realizing that if I was giving to myself if I was excited about my creation if I

enjoyed my development of possibilities. And let's even go and I make money at it.

I have a business that's working I am now giving to myself. See now you'll have

something to give away you're no longer naked on the street with nothing. And

with nothing you have no potential to really really grow yourself easily into

a state of well-being. Well it's like healers who have the belief I need to

give all of myself to all of my clients all of the time. Giving giving giving. And

because I'm a healer and what happens at the end of the day they're exhausted and

they get sick and so they can't heal anymore. Yeah so that that space of

managing your space giving to yourself having for yourself. See it's like us

with Mastering Alchemy we give a lot of money away in donations we it's that

whole concept we have been successful and now we can give back you know to to

women to hunger to those type of things. Where people can that have nothing you

can have but that process and it doesn't it doesn't come it doesn't take away

from us -well and the only way -in having. The only reason why not the

only reason a reason why Mastering Alchemy has been successful is because

you and I have been conscious of taking care of ourselves. Yes.

You know our exercise program our food our vitamins our health is number one.

Yeah so you give to yourself whether it's money its health its havingness in

terms of material things. But the real piece is it's it's an understanding that

that's a stick in a way and on one end of it

it is depleting on the other end of it it is nourishing and the nourishment and

this is where I think the world gets out of well-being out of balance right now

with the 1% that 1% keeps taking. So having is not taking. There's a real

distinction between taking -right -that's the side over here I'm going to use you to

get ahead. Right. But this end of the havingness is the one that you're seeing people get

into a relatively comfortable place that they define is comfortable and then give

it away. And it's it's really powerful in that space of having and giving. But you

have to give to yourself first before you have anything -but it starts with you - to give

to other people. Starts with you. Yeah. Yeah and in this world that we are

stepping into some of the challenge that we're going to be facing before we step

into that state of well-being is that whole concept of money as maybe this is

another conversation but this concept of money doesn't it creates it creates

individuality with no responsibilities in many cases. Let's save that for another full conversation. Ok so having though -yes

that total space of -and giving to your and being selfish. Being selfish giving to yourself. Yeah. Whether it's

take time for yourself to read a book whether it's take time to go for a walk

take time for a nice meal. Give to yourself a nice meal it's that space of

nurturing yourself even when you don't have a lot.

And step into a space of nurturing yourself. You know it's it's like adding

an extra something you like to the meal that you have and then really

appreciating it it's that appreciating and having -yeah -that basically keeps

everything in motion. When it gets stopped sterile and I can't have it's

just it's just like money if you if you if you hoard it or you can't have it it

stops the motion. Right the flow. And everything begins to break. So having for yourself really a

big deal. And be selfish. Being selfish selfish from the standpoint of exciting

I'm giving to myself it's not taking from others. That's good. Yeah. Did you

explain that to those two ladies? No no I just walked down the other aisle -I see -I didn't want to get into their stuff. I see. Do you want to pressure cooker? Yeah maybe

next time. Have a nice day.

How Much Are You Worth? - Duration: 7:21.

Welcome to lesson 4 of the BeeFriend course!

In our previous lesson we learned about an extremely important rule that we have to keep

in mind to make sure that we're making friends and not enemies.

In today's lesson we're going to talk about a powerful concept that has the potential

to 2x , 3x, heck even 5x, the speed of which you make friends.

Let's imagine for a second that above every single person's head – is a number that

represents how much they are worth.

This is a concept that is often referred to as value.

And as shallow as it seems, as much as we'd like to think we don't do this, we are all

automatically assigning values to the people around us.

See our brain and also the brains of most other mammals have evolved to do this because

it allows us to create a hierarchy in our heads.

It allows us to figure out who the most powerful person in the room is.

Who we should try to gain the favor of and also who isn't so useful and can be ignored.

This was important because for millions of years we humans used to live in tight knit

groups.

If you couldn't identify and gain the approval of the people with the highest values in this

group, the people who were in charge, the ones with the most power, your life would

be at risk.

Now you're probably wondering.

Improvement Pill that's nice to know and all but how in the world does this relate to befriending

people?

Well the higher your perceived value is in comparison to the people around you, the easier

it will be for you to befriend others.

People will want to be your friend before even meeting you.

They will want to win your favor.

However, if your value is too low – you will have a much harder time making friends.

In fact, people might even start ignoring you.

Now this brings up 2 questions.

Number one how exactly do we determine what our current value is?

And number 2 what can we do to increase it?

Well there are 3 categories of things that humans look at when determining how much someone

is worth.

We'll briefly go through each one and also talk about what you can do to improve each

of these areas.

The first category is Looks.

Someones physical appearance.

We look at hygiene.

Whether or not someone is well groomed.

If you look and smell like you haven't showered in weeks your perceived value will be much

lower.

Go take a shower, get a haircut, do your laundry, clip your nails, and take care of yourself.

Because if you look like you can't even take care of yourself you'll look like someone

who can't help take care of others.

We look at physical attractiveness which can be broken down into two parts.

The first are indicators of health.

If you're extremely overweight, if you look sick, if you look extremely tired - your perceived

value is lower.

This is because you look like someone that will drag down the group.

Hit the gym, fix your diet, and get proper sleep.

The second type of physical attractiveness that we look for are good genetics which means

you can produce healthy offspring.

This has value because the only way we can continue the human civilization is by producing

offspring that survive into adulthood.

So we instinctively look for things like symmetry of the face for both genders, height, wide

shoulders, and jaw line if your a guy, hip to waist ratio, breast size, and youthfulness

if your a girl.

This is a touchy subject because many of these things are impossible to change.

You can't really change things like your height or the symmetry of your face.

But the good news is that these factors are only part of the puzzle.

If you focus on everything else that can increase your value you can still become someone of

very very high value.

For example it's possible to get wider shoulders and increase muscle mass by going to the gym.

You can also use fashion to your advantage.

Which is the final thing that we look for in regards to Looks.

The objects and clothing that you wear can compliment the features of your body.

Someone who is short can look taller, Someone who is a chubby can look more muscular, someone

who has poor face symmetry can create the illusion of symmetry by using clothes and

accessories to their advantage.

The next category of things we look for in order to determine someones value is Status.

Essentially how much power they have.

We look for indicators of wealth.

Money is is literally a piece of paper that has an assigned value.

You can trade that paper for food.

You can trade that paper for a house.

This is why people like to talk about money as an indicator of success because the more

money you make the more valuable you technically are.

However, it's not like you can just pull out your bank statement and show that everyone

you meet.

Wealth is something that is best subtlety conveyed.

Fashion plays a big role, things like jewelry and watches, but also how generous you are

are all indicators of wealth.

But it's important to note that wealth is something that is valued much more in developing

countries as compared to modern ones.

For example in NYC you won't be impressing anyone by wearing a fancy watch and flashing

a couple hundreds.

In fact people will most likely roll their eyes at you.

But in a developing country that's a pretty big deal.

Either way it's still important to have your finances in tact because if you're dirt broke

you won't be able to bring anything to the table.

Instead you'd be force to become a taker of value, someone who needs the help of others

to survive.

People who can only take are immediately seen as low value.

Think about most homeless people.

They are virtually invisible because they are forced to beg for help.

The next thing we look for in regards to Status is someone's career.

We look for signs that tell us what sort of role this person plays in the setting that

we're in.

For example if you're in hospital the guy who is dressed like a surgeon is going to

have more value than the guy dressed like a nurse.

If you're in a night club the DJ is going to have more value than some random dude on

the dance floor.

And finally the last thing we look for is social proof.

Basically how many friends you already have and also how well known you are.

If somebody walks into the room and everyone says hi to them and they're all smiling you

wonder to yourself "wow who is that guy" - but if someone walks into the room and just

sits in the corner and plays with his phone you don't think anything of him.

Social proof is one of the 2 most powerful indicators of value.

If a lot of people know you - you're essentially a celebrity and it doesn't really matter what

you look like or how much money you have – people will automatically want to interact with you

because of your fame.

So if you're not the best looking guy you can still increase your value tremendously

by simply learning how to befriend everyone around you – which is essentially the purpose

of this course.

Before we get to the final area for determining someones value – I do want to mention something

very quickly.

Going through a video course like the BeeFriend Course of the Tamed Course is very powerful

but it's nothing compared to the results you'll get from a one-on-one coaching program.

If you're someone who really wants to change and you're willing to invest in yourself please

sign up for my mailing list using the link in the description box below to learn more

about my upcoming coaching services.

The final area we look at when determining someones value is their demeanor, how they

act.

Your demeanor is equally as important as your social proof.

We look at body language.

Whether or not someone has open or closed body language.

Things like good posture, an open chest, and uncrossed arms are all indicators that you

are relaxed.

The more relaxed you look the higher your perceived value will be.

Because people who are relaxed tend to be the people at the top.

We'll dive deeper into proper body language later on in the course.

Next up - we listen to someones voice and tonality.

If you have a high pitched voice it means that your body is tense.

You aren't relaxed.

And like we mentioned before if you don't seem relaxed your perceived value will be

lower.

There's also going to be an in-depth video on voice and tonality later on in the course.

And finally the last thing we look at is something called Frame.

This is a rather complicated concept but to sum it up it's basically how easily effected

you are by outside conditions.

For example if someone was to make fun of you, are you the type of person who would

easily get offended or are you someone who would just laugh because you don't care.

The stronger your frame is, the less you are effected by outside factors, the more confident

you seem in yourself.

Which will increase your value.

Think of value as a multiplier in front of our equation so far.

If you are someone who has an extremely high value such as a celebrity you can literally

befriend others 10x faster than normal people.

I'm not saying you have to become a celebrity, but you should definitely work on improving

your overall value in order to 2x or even 3x the speed of which you make friends.

This is a double edged sword because if you let yourself go and let your value drop you

will have to work twice or even 3 times as hard as the average joe in order to befriend

people.

In our next video we're going start the next portion of the course.

Which is all about body language.

Body language is the most important factor you need to keep in mind when it comes to

initially making friends.

If you don't do it right you won't find any success.

So make sure you subscribe, hit that bell icon, and stay tuned.

BB-8 Skirt and Petticoat - 1950s Inspired Fashion | DIY Inspiration | Whitney Sews - Duration: 17:40.

hi everyone I'm Whitney and I post videos here on my channel to help stores

of all skill levels learn new projects and techniques this week I'll be sharing

a DIY inspiration for the bb-8 poodle style skirt that I made as well as the

matching petticoat I showed both of these recently in my vintage style

clothing collection video but I wanted to do a separate video talking more in

depth about them and kind of the process that I went through making them in case

anyone is interested in learning more about that so I was inspired to make

this skirt when I saw the original one on Instagram I was scrolling through my

feed and a picture popped up that someone had shared or was an ad I'm not

really sure but it was a picture of a light grey skirt that had a bb-8 and

then the little orange rickrack coming out like a poodle skirt I will have a

link below to the picture that I saw on Instagram as well as any other pictures

I can find so you can see the original version of the skirt so I took a quick

screenshot of the picture and then just kept scrolling through my feed but I

knew that I wanted to make a version of that skirt for myself so I kept looking

back on it in my photos on my phone and thinking I have to make this skirt but I

wasn't in any rush to make it because I didn't really have an event to wear it

to I didn't want to go out and spend a lot of money on supplies right then and

so I just kind of had it on the back burner but I was kind of thinking it

over in my mind and figuring out the different aspects of it I did go ahead

and search through Etsy and a few other sites to find a bb-8 patch that I liked

it was a little difficult to find a larger patch I knew I wanted at least a

6-inch patch to make the scale look right I wish I could have found like an

8-inch one but I just couldn't but I ended up finding one on Etsy that was

six inches tall and I picked that up as well as three of their smaller patches

that are four inches in case I want to make something coordinating for Jeremiah

and the I will have a link below to the exact

patch that I bought as well as my Ebates link I shopped through Ebates to save a

little bit of money on my purchase it was just a few cents but hey every penny

counts so if you aren't using Ebates you should this is not sponsored I'm just

telling you how I like to save money when I purchased up online I go through

Ebates save a little bit of money it's really cool I prefer a link below where

you can get some extra money if you want to check it out

like I said not sponsored just sharing how I made my purchase

anyway and so I went ahead and bought the patch and have it in my sewing room

I also went ahead and bought the orange rickrack when it was half off at Hobby

Lobby so I was trying to get my supplies here and there so I could catch it on

sale or use discounts so that I wasn't splurging a whole lot to make this

project at one time I did find out later the original skirt cost about $100 and I

made mine for like $10 so I definitely was able to save a lot of money which is

awesome in my book oh and I did find out after the fact that the original skirt

was made by a company called her universe I was told this by a Disney

Store employee and who actually owns one of the skirts she saw me wearing my

skirt because we went to the Disney Store after an event and she said she

owned the original skirt it retailed for about $100 and she actually liked my

version better so that was really encouraging that someone who has seen

both versions said that they like to find better like that was that was

really cool so like I said I started out with zero timeline as to when I wanted

to make this skirt I was in no rush but I did attend a convention earlier this

summer whenever I go to a convention whether a dress up or not I almost

always come home wanting to make something wanting to either make a

cosplay or a new outfit or something so I came home

wanting to finally make this skirt and while I was at the convention I happen

to remember all of the trash bags full of curtains that some friends had given

me a few months prior they gave me ten of those giant black trash bags full of

curtains from a remodel project they're working on and I hadn't gone through all

of the bags yet I'm slowly working through them and washing the curtains

and taking apart and all that but I remembered seeing some gray texture

curtains so I was starting to put things together in thinking I could use those

curtains and make this skirt I already have the patch I already have the

ricrac I had everything I needed I could go home and make this skirt so

Peyton was at a sleepover at my parents house and so I put Skyler to bed and I

started in making my skirt so I got started at 10 p.m. which is pretty late

to start a project and I decided I was going to vlog the process but as you can

see this is not a progress blog and that's because the project was a

disaster I had chosen to use simplicity 8 4 4 6 which as you can tell is a

vintage reprint pattern from the 50s the original version of the pattern was a

full circle skirt but you may notice this is not a full circle skirt this is

a half circle skirt and I did not catch that when I originally bought the

pattern and when I was about to start in on it until I got everything out of the

envelope endless cutting the pieces out that's when I caught on to the fact that

this is not a circle skirt pattern so I ended up starting by having to draft my

own a circle skirt pattern which took some time but I knew I still wanted to

use parts of this pattern because I love the shape of the waistband here so my

original plan was to use the waistband and the pockets and then use my own

drafted skirt pattern so I got going I got everything cut out I started sewing

and it was just awful so in this design the pockets are way up

here at the top but the skirt sits at your natural waist so the pockets are

right up on your upper stomach area which is way too high like they're not

usable at all and then in fact on the left side where her hand is what she is

hiding is where the zipper is sewn in on the backside the zipper is sewn to the

back on the front side like the front half of the zipper it is sewn to the

pocket lining I had never done this before and I tried it several times and

it looked absolutely terrible it showed it was lumpy looking it just looked

awful it was the worst zipper I have ever sewn in in my lifetime I got the

skirt all the way to the point where I needed to hang it overnight and then I

was going to hem it in the morning this was at 2:00 a.m. and I hung this skirt

up and I went to bed but as I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep I knew I

was not happy with this skirt I could not wear it in public and proudly say

yes I made this skirt it is not up to my standards and I did not want to finish

it so in the morning I decided I was going to just chalk that whole skirt up

to being a mock-up and a practice version and I was going to start over so

the second version of the skirt is actually the skirt that you all have

seen it went so much better I used my self drafted skirt pattern I

also drafted pockets that would go lower in the skirt and then I used the

waistband from this skirt so with the pockets being down lower now they're

actually below the zipper I got them in perfectly nicely and I have a pop of

color in the pockets I used an orange polka dot print for inside the pocket

that when you're just wearing the skirt without your hands in the pockets you

can't even tell that the pockets are there you don't see the orange peeking

out and the zipper went in nicely I started in the same way I saw in all of

my skirt zippers which I have a separate video on that's linked down below in the

description box and I'm just so much happier with how the second version of

the skirt went it went so smoothly and I absolutely love it when the skirt

was completely done I went ahead and made the petticoat that I'll talk about

here and a little bit and I waited until the petticoat was done to add the patch

and the rickrack because I wanted to make sure everything

laid properly on the skirt with the petticoat underneath but what I did was

I put the petticoat on I put the skirt on and then I stood in front of a mirror

and kind of practiced where I wanted the patch to be pent it in place make sure I

liked the position of it and then I put the end of the ricrac

underneath where the patch would be and tacked it down then put the patch on top

and sewed around it this way the end of the ricrac is hidden underneath the

patch so this way it has a really nice finished look and the other end of the

ricrac is tucked in to the inside and tacked down right at the top of the

zipper I hadn't actually worked with ricrac much in the past but I really

liked it I was surprised how nicely it laid even around like curves and

everything I could get it to lay really smooth and that was a really nice

surprise I didn't think it would go on so nicely but I really liked it and I

think I will try to work with ricrac some more in the future

this skirt turned out exactly how I wanted it and I am so glad I originally

was going to use either a button or snaps for the waistband closure right

above the zipper but I am so glad that at the last minute I decided to go with

a hook and bar closure so it is hidden and yeah I think that was a really good

decision once the skirt was complete I of course needed a petticoat for it the

original her univers skirt was not shown with a petticoat

but I knew I wanted a petticoat and I wanted a big one and I wanted it to have

orange on the bottom and I just like exactly knew in my mind what kind of

petticoat I wanted and in my mind I'm picturing like The Wallflowers at a sock

hop I've seen a picture where it's like a bunch of girls lined up on

at a dance and they all have their petticoats and everything on and you

just see like mountains of tulle that's like you know right at their knee level

just ulle everywhere and so like that is what I wanted for this skirt so while I

was still in the planning stages for this project there was a local fabric

store that went out of business and I picked up a lot of tulle for really

really inexpensive there but since I hadn't worked out all the details for

the skirt I just had to guess on the measurements and thankfully I guessed

pretty closely like I actually ended up having some tulle left over which was

good especially since I paid so little for it and then I found this a great

tutorial on YouTube that I actually used to make my petticoat I didn't make it

exactly like hers I did change how I did the top level but a lot of the math and

everything was still really close to what she used and I will leave a link to

the petticoat tutorial that I referred to down below in the description box

because I did not film a tutorial this is the very first time I've ever made a

petticoat so I did not want to be focused on trying to film it and mess

something up as well as the fact that it is really hard to film white tulle like

when you're working with white tulle it is hard enough to see it let alone film

it so for my petticoat the top layer is the same orange and white polka-dot

cotton that I used for the lining of the skirt pockets and the measurements on

that are five and a half by 48 inches the rest of the petticoat is actually

essentially two different petticoats that are sewn three rows each and then

once each individual one is completed they are sewn together to that orange

cotton layer so the first row of the tulle layer is eight inches by four

yards the next layer is eight inches by twelve yards and the third one is seven

and a half inches by 36 yards long and of course it's not nearly as much

material as it sounds like because so for like the 4-yard row I was using

white tulle that was 60 inches from edge to edge so I just had to cut a couple of

strips that were the eight inches by the 60 inches and that was my four yards and

I just sewed those into a loop and I had my eight inches by four yards row so not

nearly as much fabric as it sounds it is just really really time-consuming to cut

all those strips and then piece them all together now of course each of those are

gathered down to fit the row above it so I started with the 36-yard row and I

gathered it down to fit the 12-yard row above it and then the 12-yard one was

gathered down to fit the 4-yard one now laying out a loop that is 36 yards

around and trying to equally pin it to the row above that is an interesting

task it took my entire living room and I would like match up one area and then

try to find the halfway point all the way across it so 18 yards away and then

pinned that to the halfway point on the row above and I would add about like 18

pins and then pretty much give up and just take it to the sewing machine and

gather by hand as I went and it worked out fine it's not like 100% evenly

gathered but no one's gonna know there's so much volume you cannot tell so once

all of that was done I picked up a slip at the thrift store is just a premade

slip because at this point I was ready to be done and I added it to the inside

for the lining unfortunately I did trim about five inches off the slip and it

was a couple inches too much so the last seam of the tulle does kind of rub my

legs some so I may have to add a little extender to that I'm not sure

but you know it happens sometimes so then for the top I just slightly

gathered it so it would fit my natural waist size and then I added bias binding

around the top I left a little bit extra on it in case I ever need to wear it

down at my hips I have the little bit of extender there and I just added a snap

and my petticoat was done it really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be

to make it was just a lot more time than I thought it would be

I made the petticoat over one weekend is when I made it so I worked on that

several hours over a couple of different days but I'm really happy with how it

turned out and occasionally I wish I would have made it like all white or

something like that would be more versatile but I do really love how the

orange looks on the bottom it's nice little surprise when someone sees the

petticoat how it you can tell it was made to go with the skirt and I really

really like that I have worn this skirt a couple of times already I wore it to a

pinup Bazaar as well as a local comic convention and I got several compliments

both times which was so sweet and then like I said earlier on the way back from

the convention we stopped at the Disney Store and all of the employees who saw

me wearing it just complimented and bragged about how nice it looked and

they like I said they had all seen the original version of the skirt in person

and so that was just so nice that they everyone was so sweet about it and

everyone liked my skirt and I still do have those other three patches that I

mentioned earlier the one for Jeremiah for Skyler and for Peyton I'm trying to

decide what to use them for so that we can kind of have like coordinating

family outfits because we're you know dorky like that but I don't think I want

to make skirts for the girls because I would like this to be something we can

wear for awhile and I feel like if I made circle skirts for Peyton and Skyler

they would outgrow fairly quickly so I'm not really sure what I want to do

with them yet so if you have any ideas on that on ways I could use these

Getting started with Twitter 2018 - Duration: 3:36.

So we're getting going on Twitter now we've followed a few accounts and now we

want to see them in our what's called a newsfeed. So I want to see the updates

from those accounts and then decide what to do with them here we go. OK so I

followed some accounts in the local Lincolnshire area so I've got the

account here Radio Lincolnshire and this is something that they've shared and if

I scroll down and I'll see some other updates. That's one from myself and one

from the London account that I followed as well , so that's the news feed and

depending on how many accounts you start to follow obviously if you follow

hundreds of accounts there's far more often updates into this particular feed

So it's about following lots of accounts but we'll get to how you organize

who you see on Twitter later. But what I want to do now is give you a couple of

options around who you follow. So I'll click on the following so we can see the

three and if I just scroll a little bit down so now I decided I don't want to

follow the London account anymore so I can just click on it and that unfollows

the account. Now as far as this account is concerned because it hasn't followed

me back it probably won't even notice that I followed it amongst its 1.2

million followers that it's actually got so it's not that much of an issue. It's

really about who you're interested in keeping up to date with and the next

stage really would be when someone follows you back so I'm going to

actually do that now I'm going to follow back from my mobile phone to this

account so because it's following this account which is me I'll follow back now

So great news the account has now attracted a follower only one but every

tweet that I send it's potentially visible to @prwilsonmedia so I'll click

on followers and you can see there it now says follows you That's the

difference. So what happens at this point is now there's an

ability to send what's called a direct message. So instead of just the tweets

that go publicly being seen in the newsfeed here under messages anyone who

you follow and they follow you back you can send a private message. You can click

here under messages, I'll say start a conversation I'll type in @PRWilson

media which will be the only option I've got I'll click Next and I'll say "hi Paul

it's" and you can see I've deliberately filled out a really long message much

longer than a standard tweet and the good news is that you can keep sending

messages like that. So imagine you've got a client inquiry or somebody you connect

to do you really want to follow up with for a business opportunity whatever it

is. You can send them a private message or actually tell them on the tweet

can I direct message you? and then as long as you are following each other

that's perfectly possible and then you can follow up with much more detail. So

that's the process of going from people you follow suddenly starting to follow you

and building that connection.

bushwacked came out into the open and we've arrived at the coordinates, 4 meters

and we're looking

the coordinates took us to one spot but you

have to trust your instincts and follow where you think it is

and go through the broken path through the trees...

...and you hit pay dirt down there

and the bugs were not as bad yes they were!

well they weren't as bad yeah they weren't as bad for as along

they're still swarming pretty good but we found the cache, trust your instincts

one of about a dozen caches here that are more than 15 years old

Mouse Tracking & Heat Maps | FREE CXL Institute Research-Driven Conversion Optimization Course - Duration: 5:04.

What's a quick and easy way to figure out

what people are doing or not doing on your website?

Heat maps.

There's another category of analytics tool

usually referred to as customer experience tools

or mouse tracking tools.

Essentially, what they do is they give you a scroll map.

So it's basically a visual representation

in a form of the heat map to show how far down

people scroll on a given page.

So typically, what it tends to look like is

you have a page like this

and then at the top,

it's like all reds, a lot of people are using

this scrolling, scrolling, scrolling

and then it gets yellower and yellower and yellower,

and then it's blue, like nobody's scrolling here.

And what's interesting about scroll maps

is like where is this transition here?

Where is the transition where the red

becomes kind of blue?

And this is important because

sometimes important content is in this area

so most people don't see.

Or another way why this is important,

we wanna understand where is this moment

where people are dropping off?

It's usually something about the design of the page

that makes people stop scrolling.

It's typically a change in the background color.

So maybe here the background color was white

and here is suddenly blue or black or whatever.

So dramatic background color change.

So people assume that this is where the page ends

or that the content below is not relevant

to the content above.

So once we see this, there's an ah, look at this line here,

let's remove that, let's have a uniform background color

and scrolling can improve.

Or you see that nobody sees

this important value proposition,

let's move this above the fold.

So scroll maps, really great way

to figure this kind of stuff out.

Click maps, click maps basically show you again

a heat map of where people are clicking on your page.

You can of obviously see this data also in Google Analytics,

but the nice thing about showing it in a heat map form

is A, you quickly see where people

are clicking or not clicking.

And executives love this kind of reports

so it's very easy for everybody to see a click.

And sometimes, something that you really want people

to interact with does not get any love at all from users.

Maybe it's not prominent enough,

maybe other things are more prominent.

And also, you can see things that people

are trying to click on that is actually not a link.

So maybe you have something that looks like a button.

Maybe you have an image and people assume

that they should be able to click on that image

and go somewhere, that it should be a link but it's not,

so they're like clicking,

sometimes they're rage clicking

like (grunts) and nothing happens.

So then it's like oh, kind of make that into a link.

Then there are hover maps that'll like basically show

where the mouse cursor has been moving,

some call it attention maps.

That's completely useless, it's kind of a scam

that these vendors are selling you

so don't trust that all because like the premise is that

people look where the mouse cursor is

so it's kind of like cheap, poor man's eye tracking

but it's BS, it's not.

Like imagine, think about the last time you read an article

on a website.

So with your mouse cursor where you're doing like this,

like a reading line by line?

Didn't think so.

So we are basically just scrolling down

and we're reading with our eyes.

So this is completely useless, don't do it.

And finally, good useful feature they have

is session replays.

So anything that users are doing on your website is filmed

or like recorded as a clip, a video clip

that you can playback without audio.

So you don't know what they're trying to accomplish,

you have no idea about their intent

or what are they experiencing, but you can see

what they're doing.

So usually if in digital analytics I see a page

where a lot of people are dropping off,

they're like leaving the site,

I wanna watch some videos of what are people doing

or not doing on that page.

And often you find something really, really interesting.

So I had this case where

it was a five-step funnel,

they had to fill out an online resume.

And in step three, massive drop off.

After they had filled out two long forms

on page one and two, it's like they already invested

a lot of time in this, why are they leaving the site

in step three?

So I watch session replays

and what I found was that there was a question

on page three that ask you have to name three references

and it was mandatory.

People didn't have them, so they left the site.

And thanks to video session replays,

I understand where, like what specific question

was the problem, took it out, conversions went up.

When is a Good Time to Eat Gut-Friendly Fermented Food? | "Ask the Doc" with Dr. Daniel Nuzum - Duration: 2:18.

Jonathan Hunsaker: Hey, you know fermented foods are good for you,

but do you know when to eat them?

Stay tuned and we'll tell you.

Hey, Jonathan Hunsaker here with Organixx.

Do you eat fermented foods and you're wondering

"Should I eat them before my meal, middle of the meal, at the end of a meal,

on an empty stomach? What's the best time to eat fermented foods?"

Let's go ask Doc Nuzum.

Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Fermented foods are best consumed at the beginning of a meal or

at the end of a meal.

At the beginning of a meal, more of the beneficial microbes will survive,

because at the beginning of a meal, the stomach acid production is low.

After you've eaten, your stomach acid starts being produced,

you have more and more stomach acid being produced, and that is an antibiotic.

One of the functions of hydrochloric acid in our gut is to kill microbes.

And so, if you're consuming a fermented food, you want some of those microbes to survive.

So, you'd eat that before you eat your meal.

If you have already eaten or are at the end of the meal,

you can also eat fermented foods at the end of the meal,

and they actually help with adjusting the pH in the gut so that you process the food better.

So, adding fermented foods either before you eat,

which gives you more probiotics out of the fermented foods,

or consuming the fermented food at the end of the meal,

which speeds up your digestion, are the best ways to consume it.

You can also consume the fermented foods while you're eating,

it just won't do as much of either of those jobs as efficiently.

Jonathan Hunsaker: Thanks, Doc. I love when Doc teaches.

I mean I pay so much attention.

I've learned so much from Doc over the last couple years.

And that's what we're trying to do now, is really bring Doc into your home

so that you can learn from his as well in this complete video series.

So, listen, if you like what you learned in this video,

Forgiving Yourself, No Matter the Mistakes You Make - Duration: 4:17.

Are you tired of feeling so ashamed every time that you make a mistake? Your

mind releases a torrent of self-deprecating thoughts, you start

feeling worthless and it feels like all that you ever do in life is make

mistakes? Let me help you make today the last day you will ever experience that.

Hello I'm Arien Smith and you are watching Arien inspires, a weekly online

web series where you can find peace and joy and prosperity after abuse! But in

order to get all of that, you need to develop the ability to forgive yourself.

With all the shame your abuser forced on you, self forgiveness can seem like a

challenging mindset to adopt. You might think that all you ever do is make

mistakes. You may be fearing that, if you slip up, you'll be as bad as the person

who hurt you. But here's the truth. You are not your abuser. You are not a

bad person. You are and you always will be an amazing individual that this world

is lucky to have. And all you need to start doing is believing that. Most of

the struggles you've faced a self forgiveness are a result of things that

happen in your past. People who made you feel bad when you made a mistake or the

voice of your abuser still ringing in your head. And, although all of this can seem

like a complicated mess to work through, it's really not! All you have to do is

reinvent your response to the stress of making a mistake. Instead of constantly

living with the shame and fear of being a bad person, you can learn to see that

mistakes are natural and okay part of being human. It's going to take time but

you will be able to self forgive and, every time that you do even a little bit

of this, it's going to change your life. Start with this. When you make a mistake,

or you feel bad about something that you did or a part of who you are. Notice that

shaming voice then just tell it to stop. Breathe and remind yourself that you are

deserving of love and forgiveness. Tell yourself you are amazing. Whether or not

you believe this, just keep telling yourself that.

Then notice when that shaming voice comes back up and stop it and repeat

that self kindness. Just keep doing this. It's simple, but it does take persistence.

Just know that, every single time you do this, you are impacting your life in

beautiful ways. You are starting to show yourself love. I do also know that

sometimes this shaming voice can be difficult to silence, because we think

it's important. We think that it's preventing us from becoming a bad person.

But your moral compass is plenty strong enough to do that already!

You're totally capable of acting with compassion and kindness in this world,

even without that shaming voice that pretends to guide you. All it's really

guiding you towards is self-hatred and you don't deserve that. So, if you fear

letting go of this voice will cause you to let go of your

morality, then remember that shame is useless. It makes you feel like a bad

person at your very core, rather than showing you the mistake that you made

and how you can start to mend it. Shame is not going to teach you anything new.

It's just saying you're bad over and over, instead of letting you see that an

action, not you, was what was bad. And that all you need to do is hold yourself

accountable for it. So be kind to yourself in the middle of any episodes

of shame. Choose to tell yourself that you are a good person and that even the

best people make mistakes. That's true and you deserve to believe it.

Think of a mistake that you recently made. What can you tell yourself to erase

the shame that you have around it? What sort of repetitive kindness will you

start to give yourself? Comment below with your answer. I'd love to hear it and

I'm sure that you will inspire someone else with your words too! Then, of course,

please share this video with someone that you think it will impact. Someone

who's far too hard on themselves. They deserve self forgiveness and this video

might be their path towards it. As always, there are a ton more resources over at

UncoverYourJoy.com, so head on over, check it out, and leave a comment! While

you're there, be sure to subscribe to our email list. You'll receive exclusive

monthly self love letters, weekly blog updates, and free resources I send only

to my email community. Self forgiveness is something that does take practice, but

it also helps you every single moment you try it. If you can tell yourself even

for just a second that you don't need to be ashamed of who you are or the

mistakes that you've made, then you will start to feel better. That's all it takes.

And, through this process, remember that you are loved, you are worthy, and you are

capable of so so much.

Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis - Duration: 2:09.

So let's talk about anaphylaxis and described to us, doctor, what exactly

happens to that individual when it occurs? It's so frightened. -Yeah, it

can be very very very scary. -Paint a picture for us. -We'll yeah okay so I you

know I well I guess we'll continue with a restaurant situation so let's say

you walk into a restaurant and sit down and order a meal and have

talked about your food allergies or whatever maybe but as you begin to eat

your meal you may begin to feel very general symptoms itching or swallowing

dysfunction or sort of a not feeling right which is a general symptom and the

most important thing here is the aggressiveness of the situation. If the

situation is very rapidly changing it's not time to sit and wait and see is this

going to get better, it's time to act, so if you have been pre-diagnosed and if

you've prepared and you have your EpiPen and all of these things then that's the

time to intervene because as sooner you intervene the better. -But if you have the

EpiPen, which we're gonna talk about in just a moment, that's great because

you're aware but if you don't that's where it gets scary. Lips

start swelling. -Your ability to communicate... -Face starts getting big.

-Absolutely, so anaphylaxis sort of by definition is a diffuse response sort of

a multi systemic response and we can even lead to an anaphylactic shock,

now I'm having trouble saying the word, so anaphylactic shock where

that really begins to affect your cardio respiratory ability to maintain blood

pressure and etc and that requires obviously acute intervention. Now the

good news is that these things can be pretty quickly reversible when put in

the right hands earlier at the fire rescue or in an emergency room even in

an urgent care where IV stories can be given or other medications can be

given rather quickly and the patient can begin to get better faster.

Beverley Warne - What is company culture? - Duration: 1:02.

Company culture is something that runs through a business from top to bottom,

it's about how people do things around here basically it's how they act,

it's how they behave, it's how they work with each other and I think it permeates

right through the staff but equally it permeates through then to customers,

suppliers, everything they do everything they say. And if there's a great company

culture going on in a business, you can absolutely feel it from the minute you

walk through the door and equally, you can feel it if there's a bad company culture

going on in a business.
