Where Was Hallmark's 'A Summer to Remember' Filmed? | Heavy.com

Hallmark's second summer-themed movie, A Summer to Remember, is premiering tonight, and this one was filmed on location just like last week's movie.

You won't see exotic animals like you did when you watched Love on Safari, but you will see some absolutely gorgeous ocean views and beautiful scenery.

The good news is that you can visit this location too.

Read on for all the details about where A Summer to Remember was filmed.

A Summer to Remember was filmed in Fiji in April.

Filming and production for this movie took six weeks, which is much longer than most Hallmark movies.

Many different locations were used for the movie, and some scenes were filmed at waterfalls or even in the jungle.

We don't know where every scene was filmed, but we do know that for at least part of the time, Catherine Bell was at the Malolo Island Resort and some of the resort scenes were filmed at the Likuliku Lagoon Resort.

Here's one beautiful photo of a waterfall that Cameron Mathison shared.

Mathison told Herald Courier: "In some ways, shooting in a place like Fiji can be distracting.

Some of the locations would blow your mind.

But, at the same time, these movies are shot in a short amount of time and there are a lot of (script) pages every day.

You can be so busy working that you can also forget where you are working.

It was a balance of trying to appreciate every moment of getting to shoot in this incredible place and getting the job done.".

Mathison also shared some really happy pictures when his real-life wife showed up in Fiji to enjoy the scenery while he filmed the Hallmark movie.

Likuliku Lagoon Resort was the home to some of those beautiful resort scenes.

It has a 5-star rating on Trip Advisor.

Of course, you can have your own afternoon or bed-time rituals but morning rituals are

extremely effective in empowering your day since they help you charge yourself before

1.

Gratitude

Feeling gratitude and appreciation for those little signs and moments of joy happening

in your life is probably one of the most overlooked or underestimated rituals.

It is a perfect morning ritual to start your day on a very positive key.

The real power of gratitude is that it makes you pick out and focus on what is working

in your life – what is in tune with your being as a whole.

It is selectively positive.

It reinforces happiness and positivity by shedding light on those awesome things, small

or big, that grace your every day living.

Quite often we just pick out the pain points, the problems, the bottle necks, whatever it

is that is not working in our life and causing friction, anxiety and unhappiness.

This is like constantly rewriting the script of your life with a negative or tragic overtone.

Your subconscious mind follows faithfully that script you write whether it is a negative

or positive one.

So feeling gratitude is undoubtedly an immensely empowering ritual.

Start your day by being thankful for those positive things that happened the previous

day or throughout the week.

It could be something really petty and small.

It doesn't matter.

You might be grateful for an unexpected visit from an old friend, a beautiful encounter

with a kind stranger, a new opportunity or whatever it is that shines your way.

Do it every morning and see what happens during the day.

Writing down your most important tasks

This is a very practical ritual.

Start your day by identifying and writing down from one to three of the most important

tasks you need to complete during that day.

These tasks are ones which support important long term goals that are aligned to your purpose,

passion or general direction in life.

For example, if writing a book or building an online community are important long term

goals which are aligned to your personal growth, then an important task for the day might be

finishing off a particular page or two of the book or coming up with fresh content ideas

for the online community.

What is important with this ritual is that you identify these tasks and complete them

as early in the day as possible.

Of course you will have other tasks apart from the ones you will write down but these

are tasks which can be tackled later or batched up and carried out in one go.

Writing down your most important tasks in the morning, helps you focus your day and

life according to what is essential.

It helps you prioritise and manage your time better.

As a result, you simplify your life by applying your focus and energy on what really counts

for your overall life progress.

3.

Affirm your goals in writing or drawing

This is similar to the previous idea but different in its application and purpose.

Writing down your most important tasks of the day is a way to have a concrete structure

of action to follow.

Affirming your goals, on the other hand, is a very powerful way of crystallising your

vision and goals in life into your everyday mental space.

Writing down or doodling your goals on a piece of paper helps you externalise those goals

by giving them form.

In return they are reflected back in your subconscious mind thus reinforcing them and

integrating them more wholly.

An example of this would be writing down "I am achieving greater success in my career"

or "I am becoming healthier and stronger through my exercise".

Notice the present tense being used as a way to tell yourself you are in the process already.

Remember the life script we subconsciously follow?

You are basically modifying the script to be applied now in the present.

Drawing or doodling can be equally, or even more, effective (if you are more of a visual

person) as it summarises a graphical representation of your goals.

For example, if your goal is to build a new house or live in another country, you can

draw the house or draw things that symbolise the country you want to live in.

4.

Qi Gong exercises

According to Chinese philosophy, Qi (pronounced 'Chee') means the life force or energy

inherent in all things and Qi Gong is the practice to cultivate and circulate that energy

in your body.

This may sound esoteric or complicated but actually Qi Gong is really a set of simple

exercises aimed at increasing your health and vitality.

There are numerous forms and practices available for free through the online media.

As a morning ritual I recommend following these simple exercises by Qi Gong master Lee

Holden.

5.

Hot Water with Lemon

Simply add a slice of lemon in a glass of hot water and drink one every morning.

This is a very simple ritual I follow faithfully every morning.

Apart from being a good source of vitamin C and a great way of flushing out toxins in

the morning, it balances and maintains the PH levels in the body, reduces pain and inflammation

in joints and knees and helps nourishing brain and nerve cells.

Rise Earlier

The practical advantages of waking up early are obvious.

For example you gain more time for doing exercise such as walking, cycling or Qi Gong as suggested

above.

You gain more time to be with yourself to reflect, meditate or, more importantly, carry

out the other morning rituals!

So rising early can be seen as a foundation for all the other morning rituals.

Many, like myself, find that they are more productive in the early hours of the day.

Also, various studies have shown that there are many other benefits from waking up an

hour or two earlier in the morning.

For example it has been shown that sleeping early and waking up early helps the body attune

with the earth's circadian rhythms thus promoting more restorative sleep.

Other curious results from such studies show for instance that early risers tend to be

more optimistic and can anticipate and solve problems more efficiently than the norm.

7.

Listen to uplifting music

In itself this ritual is a no-brainer.

Uplifting music can have a direct impact on our mood especially in the morning.

It charges us emotionally and tunes us into a more positive outlook of the day ahead.

Most people wake up to music or listen to music as they commute to work.

Very often however they tune in to a radio or randomly pick a playlist from their device.

Being more selective and conscious of the music you listen to in the morning can have

a great impact on your day and life in general.

Try to listen to more uplifting music in the morning even if, or especially if, your mood

does not dictate so.

It's funny how we try to choose music according to our mood.

For example if you are feeling down or disappointed by something, you are more prone to listen

to music that reflects that mood, for instance blues, sad songs or downtempo music.

This has the effect of reinforcing that mood.

What you need to do is the exact opposite and retune your mood by listening to music

that beats to a different tune than that mood.

TILT SHIFT with a DRONE - Duration: 4:57.

oh hi I was pretending I didn't see you there

hahaha - we're having fun... Hi everybody I am Borgi and today I'm showing you

how to produce awesome and extraordinary tilt-shift drone footage like this

So first up: What is tilt shift? With a tilt shift effect you can simulate a

miniature look to your footage. There are actually special tilt and shift lenses

that you can use to achieve this effect but in today's video I'll show you how

to imitate this effect in post-production.

This effect works best when you film from high up with a wide angle so for this example I let the

drone fly up above the streets and recorded about nine minutes of the same

angle with a drone just hovering in the air.

And once you have your drone safely

back on the ground here's how to edit your footage in four easy steps first up

First up: throw your footage in the timeline and speed it up by about 3,000 percent.

The reason we're doing this is to make the footage look unrealistic. Our goal is to

have this film look like an artificial miniature version of the real world

basically and by speeding this up we're enhancing that effect

Secondly we have to create a blur mask to imitate the tilt-shift effect.

Here's how we do that: Create a white color matte. Call it "white"... or you know what...

Let's call it Steve and then also create a black color matte and call it Barbara.

Put both of them in a timeline with Barbara being on top of Steve.

Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to make this sound dirty... Anyway...

Now we have to crop the black color matte.

Choose the crop effect and drag it onto Barbara.

I'm going to crop this forty percent on the top

and on the bottom. This black area will later determine

where the image will be in focus. The white area will be blurry.

And because we don't want to have an ugly border jumping from blurry to clear, we're going

to feather out the cropped black area like this.

Now depending on your footage

you might want to have the focus area somewhere different and not just as a

stripe in the middle.

Like in my case I want the street which runs diagonally

through the frame to be in focus. So what I do is simply rotate Barbara the black

color matte that is, to be approximately where the street runs through the frame

Okay we're almost finished, I promise. Step number three: Now to clean this up

nest Steve and Barbara so they are one clip and move your drone time-lapse

above that nested sequence.

Now for the magical part: Go to the effects panel and

select compound blur and drag it onto the drone footag.

Let's reduce the blur to about ten

and in the tab where it says "Blur layer" select "Video 1".

This way the blur effect will know which parts of the image to blur and which not to.

Alright now just tweak the colors a little bit render it out and check out the result!

Here's another tip for you for when you're choosing where to film your footage.

Try to find a location where there's lots of people cars or even

boats moving along so that there's enough life in your footage when you

speed it up later on

You can also try to let the drone fly around an object and apply that effect

5 Tips to Relieve Mental Fatigue

Who has not suffered from mental fatigue at one time or another? It is this pressure at the temples where a thousand worries, a thousand problems to resolve and an anxiety that speeds up our heart is concentrated.

It is this daily curse that is so hard to detach, to free ourselves from … What can we do? The first thing is to be aware of it.

Understand that we cannot continue living with this mental fatigue as a "cloud" over our heads; this is not healthy.

For this reason we want to offer you five simple tips that can help you greatly.

1,Simple exercises of acupressure.

We have spoken about the advantages of acupressure previously in our blog.

How, for example to alleviate headaches.

But, does it really work? Yes, it does.

We will explain how you should do it to relieve the mental fatigue you feel when you are overwhelmed and very overloaded:.

This is what to do: it is nothing more than using two fingers, the index finger and thumb, and press with some force on this part of the hand.

Go for a walk, read, take a bath.

3,Find shelter in your "personal palace of thoughts".

As an example let's say you are at work.

In your office, your shop or in your normal place where you go each day to work and where you usually suffer much pressure.

How can you, in any given moment, effectively relieve your mental fatigue?.

You only need 5 minutes.

Go to a quiet place or you can even remain at your desk if it is quiet there.

Look toward the window or some place that is calm.

Don't look at your computer screen.

Now breathe in and out calmly and deliberately.

And now what do you do? Use your imagination.

Imagine something that you find pleasant, a place to where you'd like to travel, for example.

Think about the beach where you normally walk calmly.

Imagine the warm, caressing breeze, the warmth of the sand.

Travel to this "personal palace" where everything is calms and there is no pressure.

Relax here, "disconnect" a little from all these pressures.

4,Infusions of rose, lime and lemon balm.

An infusion of rose, lime and lemon balm is the most appropriate to treat episodes of moderate stress and anxiety.

It is flavorful, light and very relaxing.

It is ideal to soothe our mental fatigue.

You only need about 10 grams of rose leaves, 10 grams of lemon balm and 5 grams of lime.

Add these to a glass of water (8 ounces) and allow it to come to a boil.

Once it has steeped, add a little honey.

Drink the infusion slowly in a relaxed atmosphere, alone, quietly.

Enjoy this moment without thinking of anything.

Give yourself 20 minutes of rest.

5,The benefits of going out for a walk.

Few things are as relaxing and liberating as going out for a walk.

You only need half an hour.

Put on a pair of good shoes, if you like put a leash on your dog and go for a walk.

A fast pace will always increase your circulation and make your heart work.
