The words of Jesus give LIFE to those who BELIEVE them.

We read on John 6:63 Jesus said: "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh

profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

64"But there are some of you who do not believe."

The words of Jesus bring life.

a person who hears the words of Jesus and who believes is immediately changed.

The power of God changes him, he is born again, he becomes a new person; he is not a sinner

any more, because he believed.

There is POWER in the words of Jesus because as Jesus said, His words are Spirit and LIFE.

But very few believe and that is why the they are not changed.

That is why the words of Jesus have no effect on them.

Many say that they believe in Jesus, but they have not changed.

There is no change in their lives, they are still sinners, they are like the rest of the

world.

They never believed and that is why the words of Jesus never had any effect on them.

If you believe the words of Jesus you will be changed and if you keep on obeying, you

will constantly be changed, you will be transformed into His likeness.

Jesus said:"Repent and be baptized" and He will give His Holy Spirit in those who believe

and who obey Him, and they will be changed.

They will be changed through their relationship with Him.

They will be changed through the words that He speaks to them and because they believe,

they will obey Him.

They will change and they will change the world.

If there is no change in you after you have read or heard the words of Jesus, then you

have never believed.

Most people never believe.

Most believers never changed because they never believed.

Have you believed in Jesus Christ?

Do you believe His words?

Have you read His words in the gospel, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John?

Did you believe and have you changed?

Were you changed?

Are you changing the world around you because the words of Jesus are alive in you?

Do you believe?

May Jesus bless you.

Jesus Christ is alive and hell is real.

I am here to introduce you to Jesus Christ so that you can know Him and follow Him and

have eternal life.

May Jesus bless you.

Sing this song to make your toddler smarter - Duration: 4:20.

Row row row your boat gently down the

stream if your name is Molly cover your

eyes and scream. This is a fun twist

on the row row row your boat song that I

learned for my supervisor Lianne when

I was in graduate school she used to sing

this song all the time to the kids that we

worked with in early intervention so I

learned it from her and now I'm passing

it along to you so thanks Lianne!

This song is fun because you can do the

gestures and the sign like this is the

sign for "boat" and "if your name" you can

do signs with it or you can grab their

hands which is something that I like to

do also and while they're standing up

you can rock them back and forth row row

row your boat and they really like that

motion and it really makes it feel like

they're on a boat. Another thing you can

do if your child is really little and

they're not yet crawling or walking and

so they're laying on their back playing

you can kind of lean over them, grab

their feet, and you can go row with their

feet row row row your boat gently down

the stream if your name is Sammy cover

your eyes and scream...BOO! The kids

tend to love that because you're always

going BOO and then sometimes I'll

build in and layer in a verbal routine

with it so I'll do cover your eyes and

scream BOO! And then I'll say, "I'm going

to tickle you

I'm going to tickle you!" Especially if

they're laying on their back you can

change out the words, "Drive drive drive your car,

quickly down the street, if you see a

stop sign, stop in your seat. I don't know

I just made that up just now. :) You could

probably think of a more clever rhyme

you can also change up the very ending

so when you say cover your eyes and

screen...boo! cover your eyes and whisper

cover your eyes and laugh ha ha ha cover

your eyes and sing LA LA LA! cover

your eyes and jump jump cover your eyes

and smile

cover your eyes and from cover your eyes

and I'm sure you can think of some other

creative ideas to do at the very end

You could do row row row your boat gently

down the stream if your name is Sarah

cover your eyes and touch your nose

cover your eyes and touch your elbow

cover your eyes and touch your toes

you could do a two-step direction there

go try the song out with your child

and enjoy! I love sharing ideas and a lot

of times I get questions from parents

they're like, "I don't know if

my child is

behind on talking they're eighteen months

old and they're only saying

this many words. So if that's YOU, you need my

Milestones Checklist for Toddlers you

can go to learnwithadrienne.com/toddlers

and download it there and then

I will send you some emails with some

more helpful information and things that

I only send through email so you'll be

on the list to receive some fun things

for me in the future. Once you print out

your Milestones Checklist you can tally

up your child's skills and see if

they're on track or what skills come up next

So you can really be thinking ahead

to how you can help them meet those

milestones. If you're inspired by this

video go ahead and subscribe and also

give me an encouraging thumbs up below

this video there's a place where you can

click the thumbs up I have a lot more

video ideas in my head

and it's really helpful if you comment

below with your favorite emoji and some

kind of encouraging comment or a

question that you might have for me.

That way, the more comments that I see the

more that I realize that people really

do want to see more videos from me and

I'm happy to make more for you.

SHARE this with your best friend who has a

toddler who likes to sing and then also

if you do this activity with your child

and you want to tag me in a post about

it you can tag me @learnwithadrienne

on Instagram or on Facebook wherever

you're hanging out. Remember, play is how

kids learn. It doesn't matter what you

play with, it matters HOW you interact

with them. When they're having fun,

they're engaged and they are learning.

Your time and attention is the best gift

that you can give them so take this song

and try it out today communicate to

connect. I don't know why I'm coming up

with these names that are like Old English names

If you see a stop sign...stop?

I can't think of anything that rhymes.

If your name is Albert cover your eyes and scream...boo!

I don't know where Albert

came from.We're watching Downton Abbey

and that's one of the characters and they

say his name all the time: Albert.

How to Dice an Onion - Duration: 4:06.

Greetings Gastronauts! This is Keef Cooks,

I'm Keef and today we've got a very very

special guest - my little baby Oscar!

[ CHEERING AND APPLAUSE ]

And a live audience.

"Hello!"

Oscar - he's trying to get these knives off me

and also he wants to demonstrate a

peculiar way of chopping an onion

So, that'll be fun

Won't it? "Yes!". Right...

[ MUSIC ]

So this is how to cut an onion because my dad

doesn't know how to cut an onion...

"Yes I do!"

...in an efficient way

So start off with your onion

give it a bit of a roll to try and

get the skin off

Select your knife

"hello" "hello"

Options are - small knife or big choppy knife

You usually go for a small one

with vegetables because you want some

control. The temptation is obviously always

to use the big chopping knife because

it has a longer cutting surface so

you can do more kind of long gliding

movements and also because it's just

more enjoyable to use a big choppy knife

But I'm going to do it the right way and

use a small one so the main thing you

know about cutting onions is they make

you cry, which is sad, and that's what you

want to avoid. The way you avoid it is

you just have a sharp knife because the

reason it makes you cry is your blunt

knife squishes the onion cells and makes the

juice come out which is acidic and

makes you cry. So you just need a sharp

knife. If it is sharp you don't need to

worry about the skins, you basically

ignore the skins. You just take your onion,

slice through. There you go.

I think the big knife might be better. Take your half

onion - you want to take the skin off

So the onion will stay together if it's

bound by either end but the bottom end

is like... tougher and more robust so you

want to just chop off the top bit

Take your sharpest knife

like so and then you just peel off the

skin and I'm just going to take off the

first layer of the onion because it's a

bit brown and manky. Chop it top ways, but

but you also need to have a few slices along

the bottom and the hard part here is

you'll remember the maxim that you should

always cut away from yourself so this

time we're not going to do that. So you

just need to be super careful so you

don't accidentally slice yourself in any

way. And then you just do a little cut

like that about halfway through and that

just makes it much easier to get your

dice and then you do another one just a

little bit above that. So now you've got

your half onion, the skin is off, you've

got some sort of lateral layers and then

you want to come in on the top and do

some more. So you just hold it quite

close to the tip - you slice like so and now

it's basically set up to do dice, and

it's sort of holding itself together, and

then you just cut through so the main

thing to remember is that you don't want

to cut your fingertips or cut your nails

off. So just hold your hand back slightly

like that or you'll injure yourself. And

then you just come through nice and easy

and it gives you effortless dice.

And then you just throw the end in your stockpot

because life's too short to faff about with that...

Yay!

There you go. "Fantastic! Can you do three more?"

"Thank you" [ CLAPS & LAUGHS ]

So that's how you cut an onion. I can't do it

like that, but yeah ,who cares, my kitchen,

I'll do what I like. So that's that, now

please do the usual - likes, shares,

comments, subscriptions, donations , patronage -

all that good stuff.

And thanks for watching and see you next time!

Church's Chicken® | Purple Pepper Sauce™ Combo Meal Review! 💜🌶️ - Duration: 7:02.

YouTube and social media peep this out

guys it's Ian K back again with another one for

you here on a sunny crispy day in

southern california guys headed over to

Church's Chicken to pick up one of my

favorite combos only this time it's

actually gonna be with something that I

have never personally tried before but

apparently it's pretty popular and it's

back on the menu for a limited time only

that's right guys every so often I got

to get my Church's Chicken on because as

they say love comes in small delicious

batches well that's what Church's

Chicken says anyway but truth be told

they've got a $4.44

combo that's been going for a

little while now I've actually reviewed

it in the past and it is really really

tasty but the main reason that I'm here

is because of this little container of

goodness that I'm hearing is pretty

awesome it's the return of church's

signature purple pepper sauce now I'm

not taking a closer look at this label

until they get right up on that close-up

coming up in just a second here guys but

I'm thinking this is gonna be pretty

awesome it definitely looks pretty tasty

and the first thing that pops into my

mind with this is like a blueberry

preserve or like a jam or something like

that so I'm thinking that could be

interesting if that's what this is so

come with me real quick while I satisfy

the curiosity to see exactly what this

purple pepper sauce is all about but

before I give it that first taste to

give you my thoughts on it like I always

do let's see what this is actually gonna

be going on first let's peep this out

it even goes great with church's made from

scratch honey butter biscuits Church's

Chicken has been delivering the goods

for over 65 years guys and this fan

favorite combo looks to continue that

trend very very nicely now I've done

many reviews here at church's in the

past so hit up that playlist popping up

in the upper right hand corner for

display there's a lot of great stuff to

look out there but just to give you a

refresher on this one we've got three

100% white meat tender strips that are

hand breaded and fried up to a nice

crispy golden brown always a fantastic

presentation here at church's and

alongside that we've got a very

nice-looking honey butter biscuit

they're world-famous over here and they

are definitely delicious and to round

out that deliciousness even further

there are 2 sides here guys we've got

mashed potatoes and gravy and coleslaw

but the real reason that I'm revisiting

this one once again guys is because

apparently there is the return of

something that I have never tried that

they are really hyping up called purple

pepper sauce and as you guys can tell by

the ingredients list there I think I've

got some heat coming my way guys

habanero peppers, red bell peppers in

there that just sounds like it is going

to be pretty pretty tasty and of course

it's going to go on all of that

delicious goodness that we've got right

over here I'm gonna try it on both the

chicken and that honey butter biscuit as

recommended very excited to give this a

go this is the $4.44 combo here at

church's with the return of the purple

pepper sauce let's peep out this flavor

church's chicken big pieces little prices mmm crispy golden

goodness as always I'm like I mentioned

earlier make sure to hit the playlist in

the upper right hand corner for display

and take a look at all the goodness that

Church's Chicken has to offer because

right now it is all about getting into

that purple pepper sauce so let's get

into it

wow that's pretty wild the aroma in this

one smells almost like a jelly-like

spreadable jam kind of like a whipped puree

I mean it does have the appearance of

like a blueberry type of spread that you

would put on toast or something like

that but there's actually little flakes

of what I'm thinking are those habanero

peppers and the red bell peppers in here

as well but it really is kind of playing

with my head because of the appearance

of it as you can see it's got that dark

blueberry look to it there and hopefully

you guys can pick up those flakes in the

very back of it here but let's give it a

go with the famous chicken over here at

Church's Chicken and see exactly what

this is gonna do but it is definitely

purple guys look at that it almost looks

like I'm dipping this into jelly very

uncharacteristic of how I have my

chicken here but let's give this a go it

definitely looks pretty thick purple

pepper sauce action here at Church's

Chicken

hmm wow that is pretty tasty and I do

have to say although it is on the sweet

side as expected you're getting a nice

bit of heat in the back of your throat

with this guy's it really kind of creeps

up as you're eating it there but the

flavor is very reminiscent believe it or

not of like a fruity jam but with a little bit

of heat on the back end there it's still

playing with my head though because

there's no fruit in this and of course

it goes amazingly well with the coating

on the chicken itself here which is also

a very nice juicy situation so the

combination is a very delicious one guys

really glad that this is actually back

on the menu and I've personally never

seen it on the menu to begin with so hey

what's new for me is hopefully new for

you guys watching this right now let me

give you another shot of the juiciness

that are the tender strips here at

Church's Chicken guys before we go for

another ba-dunk-a-dunk into this purple

pepper sauce I am really digging the

quality of what the flavor is on this

and like I said it's just playing with

my head because even though there's no

fruit in this I'm thinking that there is

and while I do prefer ranch and honey

mustard over stuff like this I would

easily get this again this is pretty

tasty mmm so good I'm really diggin' the

heat all right now they really recommend

giving this purple pepper sauce a shot

with one of their honey butter biscuits

so let's get this ready for action I am

just gonna pour some of this on top and

as you can see very thick very much

ready for action let's give this a go

mmm-hmm again it's still playing with my

head I'm getting like a jelly donut vibe

with this but I do have to say the honey

butter biscuits on their own always very

delicious light and fluffy on the inside

crunchy and dense on the outside very

delicious with a nice sweet wash of the

honey butter on top but it's that sweet

preserve-like taste that I'm getting

from the purple pepper sauce on top of

the heat in the background that really

adds to it there so you're mixing the

light crunchiness that I'm getting from

the actual biscuit but with a nice

sticky sweet taste of the purple pepper

sauce guys it really is a pretty

delicious situation on top of almost

being a tongue twister right now very

very delicious and some pretty nice

sweet heat this sauce has no problem

sticking to whatever it's on guys and as

you can see on the inside of the honey

butter biscuit there there is a lots

that it can actually latch onto here

it's getting into all little nooks and

crannies on the outside of the

world-famous biscuits here at churches

and it really is a nice combo especially

with the added bonus of the honey butter

mixing in with the heat and the

sweetness in general so what do you guys

think about this one do you think this

purple pepper sauce is better suited to

the honey butter biscuits themselves or

is it still more suited just for the

chicken by itself drop a comment down

below definitely let me know and as for

the score on this one on the bomb sexy

for your face scale of 1 to 10 the

purple pepper sauce returning here to

Church's Chicken that also happens to be

new to me is going to get a solid 8 out

of 10 it delivers some sweet heat that

presents like it's something that you

would spread on some toast but it really

does round out the flavors of what

Church's Chicken has to offer especially

on their honey butter biscuits very

tasty and that's it for this episode of

peep this out guys as you know I've got

content every single week here on my

How to Use English Idioms | Weather Idioms ☀️🌧⚡️🌤 - Duration: 11:31.

Hello! I'm Emma from mmmEnglish!

In this video, I'm going to be sharing some of my

favorite English weather idioms.

Now, don't forget to turn on the subtitles right here,

once you've done that we're

ready to get started!

So what's an idiom?

Idioms are English expressions that are quite unique

because the meaning of the expression is

different to the individual meaning of

each word.

Now, idioms exists in lots of different languages

but the reason that they can be

so difficult to understand and also

to learn to use is because of the

different meaning that you need to understand.

It's also because most of the

time when you're trying to learn these idioms

you're looking in a book or

you're looking on a website that has a

list of hundreds and hundreds of idioms

and you just end up getting frustrated

and confused. Some of them I haven't even

heard of before! The secret to learning

English idioms is to focus on idioms

that are relevant and that are often

used in everyday conversation.

Like everything, idioms come in and out of

fashion.

Sometimes they're popular, sometimes

they're not, they're really daggy.

And noone uses them anymore. It depends on who

you are, where you are, your age and the

people that you hang out with.

Idioms are quite unique like that but there are a

group of really common idioms that are

used across native speaking countries

And to make it easier for you, I've

chosen all of the idioms that I teach in

these lessons specifically because they are

currently in use. They are used every

day. I hear them all the time! So you can

feel confident that they're worth

learning and it's worth spending your

time on these idioms. So don't get your

knickers in a twist!

Don't get upset, I'm going to teach you a

few really common English idioms right

here, right now in this lesson. Let's get going!

When I say the word 'weather', what

kinds of ideas come into your head?

I think of sunshine, rain, clouds, storms,

lightning, thunder, wind, all sorts of words!

And all of the idioms that I'm

going to teach you today use weather

words in some way. Okay the first one!

'Under the weather' To feel 'under the

weather'. Now if you feel under the weather,

you're not feeling very well at all,

you might be sick, like you might

have a cold or something like that.

You feel not as healthy as you usually do.

For example, I said that I'd meet my

friends for dinner tonight but I'm

feeling a bit under the weather so I

don't think I'll go.. Or, 'You look a bit

under the weather today. Are you feeling okay?'

The second one. 'When it rains, it pours'.

So this idiom is used when

something goes wrong and a whole bunch

of things go wrong at the same time.

THAT is the time to use this idiom!

So think about this situation. You're really busy

at work, you've got three projects that

are due by the end of the day and your

colleague has just called in sick

to say they're not coming to work today.

So they're not going to help you

complete the reports and the power has

just gone off in your building which

means you don't, you're not able to use

your computer. So you decide to take your

laptop and go to the local library and

work there. So you go downstairs and you

go back to your car and you suddenly

realize that you've locked your keys

inside the car! 'When it rains, it pours'

This is the perfect example of 'When it

rains, it pours'. Lots of things went wrong

at the same time, so the problem felt

even bigger than it really was.

Number three!

'Every cloud has a silver lining'

Okay so your friend is having some

problems, maybe they lost their job or

their boyfriend broke up with them, or

their girlfriend. You can use this idiom to

help comfort them, to help make them feel

better. It means that it's possible to

find a positive in a negative situation,

no matter how difficult or how painful

it might feel at the time. Imagine if a

friend lost their job, you could comfort

them with this idiom, you could say 'I'm

really sorry that you lost your job but

you know, every cloud has a silver lining.

Perhaps this will give you the

opportunity to work on your own business for a while.'

'To get wind of something'.

'To get wind of something' means to hear

about something or to learn about

something, mostly when what you hear is

actually supposed to be a secret.

For example, your colleague might say,

'Did you hear the rumors about our CEO

resigning?!' It means he quit his job and

you might say, 'Yeah! I did get wind of

that yesterday! Do you think the rumours are true?'

'Come rain or shine'

If I say that I'll be at a place 'come rain or shine',

it means that I will definitely be there, no matter what!

For example, my cousin said to me,

'Are you coming to my birthday

party on Saturday night?' And I told her

'Of course I am!

Come rain or shine, I'll be there, don't worry!'

So rain represents bad weather and

shine represents the sun, really good

weather, nice weather. So the idiom

suggests that it doesn't matter if it's

raining or if it's shining with sun, you

will be there no matter what the weather!

'To have your head in the clouds'

If someone has their head in the clouds it

means that they're not focused on what's

happening around them. They're not paying

attention to what's going on in the real world!

They're stuck inside their own heads,

they're thinking about their own

ideas, their own thoughts, their own

dreams, their own fantasies, perhaps like

a daydream. For example, 'You know, I'd

really like to visit Canada over summer this year'

'Get your head out of the

clouds, Emma! We can't afford that, it's too expensive!'

What's the answer to question three?

Huh? Oh, ummmm... I don't know.

Get your head out of the clouds Emma, pay attention!

'Lightning fast'. Now 'lightning fast' just

means really, really super fast and it

can be used with either time that

moves quickly or the speed of something

that physically moves quickly.

For example, 'Did you see that car? It was

lightning fast!'

'I just couldn't believe how early you left the room!

You finished the exam lightning fast! I hadn't even

finished the second page!'

'To take a raincheck'

Now this idiom means that you would like

to accept an offer from someone but you

can't do it right now and you want to

accept the offer at a later time. So for

example, if your friend said to you 'I've

got two spare tickets to the football

match tonight. Do you want to come?'

And I'd say 'Yeah, that sounds awesome!

But it's my grandfather's birthday

tonight. I can't, can I take a raincheck

and come some other time?'

And lastly, to 'brighten up your day'. You know how good

it feels when you're outside in the

sunshine and it feels so warm on your

skin, you feel so happy. This is where

this idiom comes from. Something that

'brightens up your day' makes you feel

really positive and happy.

For example, you run into an old friend on the street

who you haven't seen in years. That would

brighten up your day! Or if you were sick

in hospital and a good friend came

to visit you, that would 'brighten up your day'.

You'd say 'Thanks for visiting!

You really brightened up my day!'

So did you recognize any of those idioms?

FINDING YOUR TALENT - Duration: 1:52.

Another essential component of your

self-discovery is finding you talent.

What is talent? A talent is the skill

that you naturally have to do

something that is hard. Talent may be

artistic, like drawing paintings, or

technical, like working with machines. It

could be mental, like poetry, or physical

like playing sports. It can be personal

like analytical skills or it could be

social like public speaking or

negotiating deals. Your talents need not

to be profitable or useful but they will

always be your own, a part of who you are

as a human being.

Learning to find your talents will pave

the way to finding your thing. Ask

yourself following questions:

What is that feels very easy for you to

do? What do you do without thinking? What

you do most often? and what you talk

about every single day every single time.

Ask others about yourself. Ask your family and

friends what they think you are good at.

Look for the things that people relate

with you. What are the things people

always ask you to do for them? What is

your primary strength in other eyes?

Create a list of all the talents you

identify. It will form a central role in

finding your thing.

Pre-Suasion By Robert Cialdini - Book Review - Duration: 5:37.

how's it going everyone I'm Dono and

this is how to happy. In this video we're

going to be doing a book review of the

book pre suasion by Robert Cialdini

this book is best for those who read

influence and want and get another

deeper perspective and those who are

interested in psychology marketing

influence those kinds of things the

difficulty to digest of pre suasion is a

little bit harder than influence because

the concepts are a little bit more

complex however Cialdini keeps his same

simple straightforward style. builds in a

lot of research so it might take a

little bit more work to understand what

he's saying but it's still written

really well and approachable alright

moving on to the key insight so if you

have read influence that book is all

about factors that determine influence

on making a decision this book

persuasion is all about the surrounding

context and the moments leading up to an

attempt to persuade someone and what's

important as with his last book pre

suasion has a lot of research examples

as well as examples from real life and

it's just written in a way that's really

approachable and hits a lot of different

angles so that regardless of the way

that your brain processes information

you should find a way to kind of figure

these things out so the book starts by

talking about how setting the right

frame can make a really big difference

so for example if you ask someone

beforehand if they're an angry person

they're immediately going to start

thinking of times that they were angry

and then whatever you follow up with

that's going to be influenced by them

thinking about all those angry

circumstances so setting the frame can

make all the difference in terms of how

receptive they are to certain ideas

Cialdini then spend the big chunk of the

book talking about the importance of

attention and essentially what he says

is that whatever we pay attention to

become more important and the longer we

keep our attention there the more

important we think that it is this is

because our brain does this little trick

where it assumes that we wouldn't be

paying attention to something unless it

was important so as part of presuasion

if you can get someone to focus on

an aspect or a certain thing for a

longer period of time it's more likely

that it's going to feel like it's an

important thing to be focusing on the

next section talks about the power of

associations so there is an experiment

that they ran where when people were

holding a warm cup of coffee they were

more likely to elicit warm feelings

basically whenever a concept comes out

your brain associates it with other

things so since warm can be you know

warm in your hand or warm affectionately

those two things are linked in your

brain and more likely to come out this

is the reason that advertisers run as

with celebrities we all know intuitively

that that's exactly what they're trying

to do is attach a celebrity to a product

but it works even though we're aware of

it Cialdini then talks about the power of

the environment so he says that

depending on where you are can make a

big difference in how you make choices

for example when he was writing the book

when he was in his office at the

University he was writing in a much more

formal way but when he moved somewhere

where he could see you know normal

average people walking around his

writing style became a lot more

conversational so his argument is that

depending on where you are the types of

choices you make can change quite a bit

Cialdini then goes on to add another

influence factor called unity and the

basic idea of unity is that we tend to

do things for those we think of as in

the same group and this isn't

necessarily the same as liking but think

of it as you know your family there are

probably people in your family who

bother you or that you don't

particularly like yet you would still go

out of your way to do things for them

because of this unity and this unity

factor can also apply in a broader sense

so if you think of sports teams you know

if someone's a fan of this team and

you're a fan of that team that builds a

sense of unity and gives them more

influence now on to other considerations

as with the first book Cialdini spends

a good amount of time talking about how

to ward off unwanted persuasion attempts

again this is a lot of stuff to try to

process consciously all the time but it

does make sense to be aware of it and

see how these things

influence your decisions so that you can make the

decisions that are best for you in

addition this book is absolutely packed

with notes and other things in the back

of the book so if you want to dig into

the research feel free to go back there

and go wild because there's tons and

tons of stuff to go through moving on to

the applicable content and exercises

what are some mental frames or

environmental cues you could use to help

yourself make better decisions what

cause are you dedicated to how can you

use the influence technique of unity to

bring more people to take action again

this is another book that I found really

valuable it has a lot of information

just about how we process information

and make decisions so if you're

interested in that kind of stuff I

definitely recommend picking it up as

always there will be a link down below

Fad Workout Equipment - #TossItTuesday - Duration: 1:43.

Summers coming and it's time to get in shape.

You know how we're going to do that?

Doing pushups... doing Perfect PushUps. That's right...

With these right here.

Perfect PushUps... really? I don't really think so.

I mean these are not going to hold me to

a gym regimen if I have these or I don't

have them. There are so many workout fads...

think about the ab roller, think about

the ThighMaster, these things and there's

so many other ones that we've bought

because we think they were easy ways to

get fit fast. Is it really helping? Did it

really do it? Did you really do the work?

Hmmm... Probably not because most of us don't!

I probably might do a regular pushup

before I go get these out and actually

do perfect PushUps... because a regular

pushup is probably safer than doing a

perfect, twisty pushup. I just want to go

up and down... not twist my arms and my

shoulders and all this other stuff while l'm

in the process. It just feels wrong!

So, these workout fads and any of this

stuff that you purchased... don't feel bad.

You have not given up on your workout

routine just because you're getting rid

of these. You're actually letting go of

something that didn't work, was never

going to work, and now you're going to

move on to the greener pastures of the

things that will work... that will help you

get to the body and the health that you

want. So on this Toss It Tuesday, get these

out, ditch them and drop and give me 20!

And have a happy Toss It Tuesday.

Adjust the valves - Duration: 10:54.

Hello girls and guys!

As already announced for a very long time

A video about valves and how to do it.

What do you need?

You need something like that, that is

A doctrine with the one gap

Or the gap between things,

Just like valves.

You have then everywhere the name on how strong that is.

This is 1 mm, so 100 is 1 mm,

These are 0.8 mm, 0.3 mm and that goes down to 0.05 mm.

This will take you to measure this distance.

Valves, when do you do it?

Whenever the engine is cooled,

So do not turn off and wait until it is cold,

But really left over a night,

Or leave a whole day,

So that the engine really cools even into the core

And then you need of course also the measures on which one sets it.

This is easy, using the service and maintenance documents.

Valves clearance, ie the valve distance

For inlet or in 0.08 to 0.13 mm,

Ie best set to 0.10 mm.

And for outlet or Ex, one has then 0.17 to 0.22 mm.

Yes to put them in the middle,

Insert inlet or In with 0.10 mm, outlet or Ex with 0.20 mm.

Yes so you also know how to tighten the individual screws,

With how much NM, there is here also a table,

So you also see wheels, wheel bolts, etc ..

E.g. Also brake calipers as they are attracted.

Yes and then there is, of course, at the end of this manual

All service data are listed here.

Here again the inlet and outlet valves,

Or the whole tolerances of the valves, how long the shaft may be, the seat etc.

Then Camshaft + Cylinder Head,

Then Cylinder + Piston + Piston ring,

Cranksharft, thus the Kurbelwelle,

Oil pump (Ölpumpe),

Clutch or the Kupplung,

Transmission, drive chain, ie the Getriebe and the Antriebskette.

Caburetor, here is the Vergaser listed with the settings and tolerances,

Then back again the Caburetor,

Then electrical, so the whole elektrische system,

Then Break and Wheel, the dimensions and the

Special measurements of the tires and brakes,

Suspension, thus the Federung,

Fuel + Oil, that is, the amount of oil that is contained in the individual containers,

Engine, also for the tank etc.

Yes if you have that, then it is actually relatively simple,

On the basis of the Freewind it is therefore very easy,

Because it has tilting levers, i.e.

The crankshaft drives the control chain,

The camshaft is driven above the control chain

And a lever is actuated via the camshaft,

From the bottom to the top and this lever is supported on a joint

And then presses on the valve and where it presses on the valve

Is an adjusting screw with which one can adjust the tolerance.

Yes and if you look for the valves that are down here is a lid,

And behind the tank port is also a lid

Now of course, my Freewind has to strip a little!

And this is relatively easy,

Freewind, Baby STRIP for me!

Yes and we did it.

And here you see the covers, front and rear,

Under which the rocker arms are hidden,

Which press on the valves and which we mount still from

Including this vacuum container,

Then we can work in peace without hindrance.

Yes and here you can see the rocker arms,

Up here is a square and that is the mother

With which one fixes it.

Yes and now at the intake 0.1 mm, we try to enter.

Of course you have to look that the valve is not loaded,

And should then go through nicely.

Yes caught, yes goes really very quickly,

The other I've already checked,

Yes and that was it individually, so you can at the inlet valve

Again screw the cover and is only

More to control the outlet valve.

Ok, here you can see it a little better,

Here are the rocker arms and now listen for a moment!

So that you can hear if they have tolerance!

If you heard the cracking, you see,

That they have moved a little

And that they also have tolerance.

And I've checked them before, but

Now for you so you can see,

Simply with the doctrine, through -

Yes exactly, works.

A light pressure and done.

Yes, in principle it was, the valves are controlled,

Now again assemble everything and

Then the normal service,

But first warm up a bit so that the oil flows out better.

So as you can see relatively easy,

Here you can see the square with the man

The screw is screwed in and out,

So that the clearance (tolerance) on the valves can be adjusted

And this is the cons mother, or the mother the to fix.

When you tighten the screw, the screw that presses the valve is fixed.

Yes and here under this screw is actually

The bolt from the rocker arm

And here is the camshaft with the cams and presses on the lever,

And thus the valves are depressed.

So relatively simple and is not witchcraft.

Easy to make, just a bit difficult

Because you have to reduce a lot in the Freewind,

So she did a strip for me my baby,

But without this you do not get it.

Because the valve is self adjusting then

A work of just 5 minutes,

Dismantling and assembling takes then

Total, or is a work of about 1 hour.

So more expenditure for the valve set than actually necessary!

But you have to remove the tank,

Because the tank here with the cheeks reaches far down.

Yes I hope you liked it,

I am now assembling,

Then of course a service

And then it goes into the new motorcycle season.

There's only one thing left for you to say

STAY UP!

See you!

How to Use Parkinson's Law to Unlock Your Focus and Get Results - Duration: 12:40.

Have you ever noticed how you never seem to have enough time to do everything you need

to get done, and how your to-do list never seems to get any shorter?

There's a solution to this problem, and it doesn't involve figuring out how to squeeze

another hour or two into your work day.

The reason this problem exists in the first place has to do with something called Parkinson's

Law.

Once you understand what Parkinson's Law is, you can structure your days so you get more

done, in less time, and still have time for rest, family and recreation.

As I've discussed in another post, conventional wisdom says that, in order to get more work

done, you just need to spend more hours working.

That idea seems logical, right?

But have you ever heard the phrase "work expands so as to fill the time available for

its completion"?

This saying has come to be known as Parkinson's Law, because it was first coined by British

historian Cyril Northcote Parkinson.

He first wrote about the idea in a 1955 article published in The Economist, and later in his

book, Parkinson's Law, and Other Studies in Administration.

I'm sure you can relate to the feeling of having more work to do than time available

to do it in.

Even if you don't feel that way all the time, you probably experience that feeling

more often than not.

Your to-do list never gets any shorter.

In fact, even if you could waive a magic wand and double the amount of time you have every

week, you would still not have enough time to do everything you want to do.

That's the irony of Parkinson's Law.

....but that's not all

To make matters worse, American culture overvalues the amount of time we spend working every

week.

We celebrate the martyr mentality, where we "suffer" long work hours every week because

it shows how valuable, dedicated and hard-working we are, or because we think it's somehow

more honorable.

On the flip side, taking time to rest or simply be alone with your thoughts is considered

non-productive, a waste of time or even selfish.

When you have plenty of time to work on something, you subconsciously (and sometimes even consciously)

give it less than your full effort and concentration.

While you may not admit it to your boss, you know this is true.

If you have a project that you know usually requires about 30 hours of effort, but you

have 40 hours to do it in, what do you do?

You tell your boss you have a little extra capacity, so she can give you a little more

work, right?

No, if you're being honest with yourself, you'll admit that what you actually do is

"coast".

You check your email more frequently.

You get up and stretch or walk around more often.

You take "just a minute" to read an interesting article you find online.

You check sports scores or stock prices once or twice, and generally work at a slower pace.

You do all kinds of things that, from a distance, may look productive, but in reality are just

filling those additional 10 hours.

While not directly on the topic of Parkinson's Law, this short video is pretty funny and

illustrates the way we tend to behave when we have too much time to do something.

The two faces of Parkinson's Law

Whether you consciously rationalize it or it just "happens", you allow yourself

to behave this way because you know you have enough "cushion" or "fat" in your

schedule to still get the work done by the deadline, so you don't push very hard.

This is a natural response, because your brain is wired to conserve energy wherever and whenever

possible.

So, any time you don't absolutely have to do something, you exert the minimum amount

of energy required.

As a side note, for people with ADHD, Parkinson's Law is even more pronounced.

Their brain chemistry is such that they can't adequately focus on something unless they

find the work enthralling or they have so little time left that they can't not focus

on it.

On the other hand, when you have barely enough (or maybe even not enough) time to get the

work done, what happens?

You usually laser focus and figure out a way to get it done, right?

Sometimes that means you have to chain yourself to your desk, turn off the internet, put up

a do-not-disturb sign and listen to white noise with headphones to drown out nearby

conversations, but it works.

Thankfully, you don't have to go to these extremes.

But when given no alternatives other than to do the work now or risk consequences, you

figure out a way to stop doing all of the little things that eat away at your productivity

every day.

The trick is to learn how to harness that focus, without burning out.

It's a delicate balance, because shorter durations can cause you to sacrifice quality

in the name of finishing.

However, there's usually quite a bit of wiggle room where you can cut your typical

time down by 30 or 40% and still do good work.

That can't be true!

That's the basic premise of an experiment conducted by author Chris Bailey.

He spent an entire year doing dozens of different productivity experiments on himself to find

out what works and what doesn't, and blogging about it along the way.

He went on to write the book The Productivity Project to share everything he learned during

that experience.

During his year of research, he conducted experiments on everything from wake-up times,

to meditation, to productivity systems like Getting Things Done, to the effect of internet

access and phone usage.

In one experiment, he tested the validity of Parkinson's Law, to see whether there is

an ideal number of work hours per week (for him, at least).

To do this, he spent four weeks alternating between 90-hour and 20-hour work schedules,

while still maintaining the same overall workload.

Each day, he not only recorded what he got done, but he also quantified and recorded

his energy and focus levels, how easily he got distracted, how productive he felt, and

whether he accomplished what he planned to for the day.

Keeping track of this information gave him much more valuable insight into each work

strategy, allowing hime to determine how effective they were.

Based on the "logic" of

more hours worked = more work accomplished

he should have quadrupled the amount of work he got done in the 90-hour weeks vs. his 20-hour

weeks.

But the crazy thing is that he only got slightly more work done.

This is Parkinson's Law in action ....but here's where it gets tricky

One other subtle but very important takeaway from his experiment was that, even though

he accomplished virtually the same amount of work on either schedule, he felt more productive

during the 90-hour weeks.

As the saying goes, "perception is reality".

So, because you feel more productive when you work longer hours, your natural response

to an ever-growing to-do list is to just add new tasks to the pile and hunker down.

Most people don't look at their work from the perspective of Parkinson's Law; they simply

try to figure out how to do more in the same amount of time.

But as I discussed in my previous post, your effectiveness gradually wanes as you work

longer hours.

It's a paradox because you feel more effective while you're actually getting less effective.

Unfortunately, you don't notice the decline.

That's because our brains are wired to notice things that change quickly or significantly,

but they aren't very good at picking up subtle or gradual changes.

So why do we do keep banging our heads against this wall?

It's a lack-of-information bias.

Since you can't measure something that hasn't happened, you don't know how much you would

have gotten done or how productive you would be if you gave yourself less time and/or eliminated

time-wasters and distractions.

For example, you can't intuitively quantify how productive you would be be if you didn't

look at your phone a thousand times a day, because 1) most people would rather give up

oxygen than do that and 2) humans are terrible at making these kinds of predictions.

Does this really apply to me?

What you can do is test it, by methodically trying different approaches for a defined

amount of time, collecting data like Chris Bailey did, and seeing what kind of results

you get.

Or, if you don't feel like going through that process, you can trust the results of

other people who have already done it.

It's worth noting, by the way, that Chris Bailey isn't the only person to test Parkinson's

Law.

Other people have done so and obtained similar results.

If you're skeptical of their results and don't think you would have the same experience,

you can test it for yourself.

Having a healthy dose of skepticism is a good thing, and is a vital part of the scientific

method.

What is not helpful is just assuming these results don't apply to you because you're

"different".

If this phenomenon holds true for other human beings, there's a very good chance it applies

to you as well.

When you understand Parkinson's Law, you can use it to minimize the time you waste every

day, so you have more time for the things that matter.

But just as important, you can leverage it to focus on getting the really important things

done in the time you do have.

You need to get rid of the mindset that you are ever going to "finish" your to-do

list.

If you are like most other people, that idea is a fantasy.

It's like trying to reach the horizon; it always stay tantalizingly out of reach.

So what can I do about it?

So how do you put this knowledge to use in your life?

For some people, it's as simple as setting aggressive deadlines for yourself when you

plan your work.

Unfortunately, for many people (myself included), this approach doesn't work very well.

That's because the part of your brain that decides to set the tight deadline lives with

the part of your brain that wants to take it easy, so it knows when a deadline is artificially

contrived.

Consequently, it doesn't feel a true sense of urgency when it knows there won't be

any consequences if you don't finish on time.

If you struggle with motivation to stick with artificial deadlines because they don't

create enough urgency, there are several things you can do.

You could build competition into your work.

If you have a particular activity that takes too long, but you can never seem to get it

done any faster, find another person who does the same kind of task.

Then, you could compete to see who can get it done faster each day.

You could apply this concept to anything from studying to house cleaning to writing.

If your vice is the internet, you can utilize technology to block access to sites and programs

that you usually struggle to resist.

There are dozens of apps and browser plugins that provide this service.

Some are free and others are not, and different ones offer different features and capabilities.

I'm not going to go into reviews of those apps here, because that's not the topic

of this post, but they can augment your self control if you're addicted to the continuous

stream of information that is the internet.

You can also use rewards to provide an additional sense of urgency.

If you have a task that normally takes you four hours to complete, give yourself three

hours and tell yourself that, if you finish by that time, you can do something you really

enjoy doing (like reading or playing a game) for that fourth hour.

This is a great approach because not only are you getting your work done in the same

amount of time it normally takes, but you are compounding the benefits by recharging.

If you strategically choose your recharging activity, you can compound the effect of your

self control even more by doing something you find really interesting.

You could commit to something publicly, especially if it will require you to publicly report

on your progress, like a race or weight-loss challenge with regular and/or a final, public

weigh-in.

I've discussed this concept of using public accountability to your advantage in another

one of my posts.

Just to clarify, in the internet age, the term "public" doesn't have to mean in

person.

It simply means that your progress will be shared with your friends, or even the world.

You could get an accountability partner.

Ideally you want someone who is comfortable giving you "tough love" when you aren't

putting forth the level of effort that you commit to, but just knowing that you have

to report on your progress to someone will enhance your motivation and the likelihood

that you will stay focused.

This is the reason that people who have diet or fitness goals like to have a "partner"

or "buddy" to go on the journey with them.

This tactic is well suited to ongoing commitments, like working out every day.

However, you could apply it to Parkinson's Law by having someone to discuss your work

plan with each day, and then having a couple of accountability check-ins to keep you on

track.

You could use a service like the website Stickk.

This site uses the idea of an anti-goal, which puts some amount of your money in escrow.

Then, if you don't achieve your goal or stick to your behavior change, the money is

donated to an organization whose values or mission you disagree with.

You can either monitor and report on your own progress, or appoint a "referee" to

grade you.

This tactic is also best for ongoing commitments, but you could use it to make sure you complete

a project by a certain date, so that it doesn't drag on indefinitely.

For example, if you had a goal of writing a book, you could use Stickk to make sure

you work diligently on it every day.

By the way, even if you don't plan on using this service, it's worth checking out, just

to see all of the different things that people commit to via their service.

The goals themselves are all publicly viewable, even though you can conceal your identity.

I want to share an interesting side note on this topic of Parkinson's Law.

As I was researching and laying out the rough draft of this post, I had gotten ahead of

my normal writing schedule, so I had some "extra" time to finish it.

So, what do you think I did?

Rather than finishing it up early so I could move onto other important tasks, I found myself

adding and expanding on different thoughts than I would normally do.

I did all this in the name of producing a better, more informative post.

In reality, what happened was that I just ended up filling up the "extra" time that

I had available and finished in the same time I normally give myself to complete my posts.

So, what started out as a typical, 800-1000 word post became more than three times as

long, at approximately 2,700 words.

Rich O'Ben The Motivation Mindset

Parkinson's Law is subtle, because your mind will come up with all kinds of very-rational-sounding

reasons for why you use the extra time.

Sometimes you won't even notice it happening.

But even when you notice it while it's happening, you don't always do anything about it, because

you make a very compelling argument to yourself why it's ok "this time".

I encourage you to play around with the idea of Parkinson's Law to stretch yourself and

see what's possible.

What do you have to lose?

If you give yourself four hours to do something that usually takes you eight, and you get

it done in six, with an hour or two of play thrown in, you still win!
