Waching daily May 2 2017

today I have a tutorial based around

magazine layouts in Adobe InDesign both

for print and web views that's coming

right up now

how's it going people welcome back to

store graphics I hope you're doing well

today I've had to move from six heads

per week

down to five uploads because I simply

cannot make decent content for six days

a week

whilst being a graphic designer there

aren't enough hours in the day so now

that any days I'm not going to go

floating on Saturday and Sunday today

however thanks to another subscriber

suggestion we were looking at they've

been designed in base layout and export

for magazine use it is going to be a

long tutorial and I know many of my

subscribers are most likely not you can

use it we can design often but I do like

to cover a wide range of areas of

graphic design on this channel so if

you're not a fan of Adobe InDesign in don't fret I have more illustrator and

Photoshop tutorials as well as much much

more in the pipeline there's a list of

time stops in the corner if you want to

see specific points of this tutorial if

you do find this tutorial helpful let me

know in the comment section below and

subscribe to secure graphics you haven't

done already sitting got the layout we

are magazine / web use is slowly

different and out of print when you

create the document you can elect to

generate it for web use here

however like in my most recent web

publication link in the description

below I'll use the print document and

you shall see why next for this magazine

I use a typical a Ford that will pay

spread for a number of ages if this was

a print project and you will see later

in the InDesign tutorial I would only

design I work in Photoshop and add the

text and load the files in InDesign but

seeing as this is for web views I don't

have to worry about the text being

printed blurry as this would screen

using Lee so with that in mind I created

everything in Photoshop and transferred

the files over to InDesign

I simply created an a3 landscape

document at 300 PPI in Photoshop

and then split them in half for my

magazine pages once I've done that I

could in cream I work on here for the

magazine the left section view the left

page and the right protection being the

right page once happy I flatten each

side and save them individually as JPEGs

a makanan design and use the box tool

and place my files by going up to file

and in place

we're exporting a magazine for web use

you have a few different choices

depending on what you want to do with it

for example an SWF file will have a h2

animation like Sarah

a client for this magazine however

wanted to use interactive PDF version

make sure you select spreads and select

all due to JPEG lossy setting as well as

a maximum alpha it's worked fine for me

and you computed magazine in the link in

the description below next we will cover

how to set up a magazine for print Adobe

InDesign which is a little more detailed

and in-depth now let's set up an

InDesign document for magazine layout

for print go up to a file and your

document for printing we obviously need

to select the print option here and for

the number of pages you need to fit

however many pages you want to be

magazine also taking into account the

front and back page we can add a delete

pages easily at the late stage here we

can put in the size of each individual

page and I'm going to run with a four

for today and then the orientation I

either landscape or portray four columns

I often use three or magazine work but

some people may like to use two or even

four columns it is completely up to the

designer and then you want to use a

three millimeter bleed that is added

around the entire document

if your measurements are nine millimeter

you need to close a Libyan design and

reopen it and go to InDesign at the top

left corner preferences and then

measurements and increments when your

InDesign magazine document is generated

it should look something like this the

lines on the page that just guides

they're not going to be printed so add

ugly pages go to layout and then choose

your options from here

using my method for magazine design for

print I will then make my CDs in

Photoshop or release the artwork earlier

I recommend anything that isn't type or

logos you want to add the tanks and

logos directly into Adobe InDesign so

that then the old quality and do not

become pixelated and printed in

Photoshop I make an a3 document and then

we're going to rotate it 90 degrees

landscape event I generated our 300 PPI

then I add a guide halfway down the

split it up into two sections each one

VNA for

I then add guides to the edges to

increase the document by six millimeters

each way that will compensate for the

three millimeter bleed in Adobe InDesign

bleed here the central for printers that

they were cut everything outside of the

bleed to keep your main content and

bleeds

once I'm happy and then cropped each

side and flatten them and save them as

to individual JPEGs

now back native InDesign create a box

across the page like so and then go to

file on place

the KO file and drop it in it should fit

perfectly in place like so

hold down out until you see this icon up

here to duplicate the box lead the image

inside the box on the other side

now we can start adding in our text

using the box tool we use to add an

image and also import your logo files

remember to select all of your text and

go up to create our lines before you

send the file to print alternatively you

can leave it as it is and package the

font files along with Adobe InDesign

document to export or print up to file

and export select Adobe PDF print and

then hit OK use the most recent version

of Acrobat and these are the settings I

will use for this window under

compression I use these settings here

for high quality friends and I select

every single option apart for crop marks

here it is best to talk with your

printing company before as they may have

specific scented settings or printing in

the summary section if there are any

warnings about your magazine document

they will be flagged here once complete

export and you should have a preview of

it open up in Adobe Acrobat

so did you promo tutorial on how to

create a magazine layout on Adobe

InDesign helpful if so let me know the

comment section below and drop a like on

your way out subscribe to the story

graphics liquidated all of my 5 uploads

per week and until next time design your

MIT's WiGait for Detecting walking speed with Wireless signals - Duration: 3:16.

We've long known that blood pressure, breathing, body temperature and pulse provide an important

window into the complexities of human health.

But another vital sign – i-e how fast you walk – could be a better predictor of health

issues like cognitive decline, falls, and even certain cardiac or pulmonary diseases.

Unfortunately, it's hard to accurately monitor walking speed in a way that's both continuous

and unobtrusive.

A MIT Team has been working on the problem, and believes that the answer is to go wireless.

In a new paper, the team presents "WiGait," a device that can measure the walking speed

of multiple people with 95 to 99 percent accuracy using wireless signals.

The size of a small painting, the device can be placed on the wall of a person's house

and its signals emit roughly one-hundredth the amount of radiation of a standard cellphone.

It builds on WiTrack, which analyzes wireless signals reflected off people's bodies to

measure a range of behaviors from breathing and falling to specific emotions.

WiGait is also 85 to 99 percent accurate at measuring a person's stride length, which

could allow researchers to better understand conditions like Parkinson's disease that

are characterized by reduced step size.

Today, walking speed is measured by physical therapists or clinicians using a stopwatch.

Wearables like FitBit can only roughly estimate speed based on step count, and GPS-enabled

smartphones are similarly inaccurate and can't work indoors.

Cameras are intrusive and can only monitor one room.

VICON motion tracking is the only method that's comparably accurate to WiGate, but it is not

widely available enough to be practical for monitoring day-to-day health changes.

Meanwhile, WiGait measures walking speed with a high level of granularity, without requiring

that the person wear or carry a sensor.

It does so by analyzing the surrounding wireless signals and their reflections off a person's

body.

The research team's algorithms can also distinguish walking from other movements,

such as cleaning the kitchen or brushing one's teeth.

The device could help reveal a wealth of important health information, particularly for the elderly.

A change in walking speed, could mean that the person has suffered an

injury or is at an increased risk of falling.

The system's feedback could even help the person determine if they should move to a

different environment such as an assisted-living home.

The team developed WiGait to be more privacy-minded than cameras, showing you as nothing more

than a moving dot on a screen.

In the future they hope to train it on people with walking impairments from Parkinson's,

Alzheimer's or multiple sclerosis, to help physicians accurately track disease progression

and adjust medications.

Making Requests & Asking for Permission - Easy English Vocabulary - Duration: 6:10.

Asking people to do things for us, or asking if we are allowed to do something is often

quite difficult.

Perhaps you're just a shy person, and you don't feel comfortable asking other people

to do things for you.

Maybe you're a very independent person, and you like to take care of yourself.

Sometimes, we just don't feel like we know the other person well enough.

Another big issue is language.

What is the best way in English to ask someone to do something for you?

Stay tuned, as I make requests and asking permission, easy.

Hi everyone, how are you?

I'm Edward from English Made Easy.

Humans are social animals.

The reason we've been so successful as a species is because we have an unmatched ability to

communicate with each other.

If I need something, I can ask somebody to do it for me.

I'm sure many of you mostly YouTube for information, or to gain knowledge.

Humans are fantastic at sharing knowledge, however, when it comes to asking somebody

face-to-face to teach you, or to explain something, it can sometimes be difficult.

Imagine this situation: you go to lunch with somebody you don't know very well, and the

bill comes.

You check to see if you can find your wallet and you've forgotten it.

Do you feel comfortable asking this person to pay for you?

Knowing how to ask these questions is really important, but also knowing which is the right

question depending on who we're speaking to is equally important.

In English, we call this formal language.

Let's start by learning how to make requests.

A request is when we ask somebody else to do something for us.

We'll start with the informal options, and we'll move to the more formal options.

If asking friends or family, there are two great options: "can you?", or "could you?".

Both of these are always followed by verb 1.

For example, "Can you make me a cup of tea?", "Can you drive me to the mall?", "Could you

take the dog for a walk?", "Could you buy me a coke?".

'Can you' and 'could you' are the two most common ways of making requests, that's because

we use these with friends, with family and also people we know really well, like our

close colleagues.

However, if we want to make a request from somebody we don't know very well, or perhaps

somebody who we consider to be senior to us, we have to change and use some more formal

requests.

Two great formal options are: 'Would you mind' or 'could you possibly'.

However, it's important to note that there's a difference in grammar here.

'Would you mind' is followed by 'verb-ing', while 'could you possibly' is followed by

'verb 1'.

Let's check out some examples.

"Would you mind forwarding these documents to the team in Germany, please?", "Would you

mind lending me $20 for lunch?", "Could you possibly tell me the time?", "Could you possibly

show me where the nearest bus station is?".

To summarize, there are four great options for making requests: 'Can you', 'could you',

'would you mind', or 'could you possibly'.

Let's move away now from asking people if they could do something for you, and instead

look at asking if you are allowed to do something.

This is known as asking for permission.

'Permission' means that you are allowed to do something.

It isn't talking about if something is legal, or illegal, it's talking about consent or

authorization to do something.

Clearly, it's really important to understand how to ask for permission, but it's also important

to know which is the best way to ask for permission, depending on who I'm speaking to.

I'll now show you 7 different ways how to ask for permission.

In order of formality, from the least formal, to the most formal.

The least formal is 'can I' plus 'verb 1'.

For example, "Can I go to the bathroom?".

Next is 'could I' plus 'verb 1'.

For instance, "Could I use your phone?".

We can also use 'is it OK if I' plus 'verb 1'.

"Is it OK if I submit my assignment next week?".

Another option is 'may I' plus 'verb 1'.

such as with the sentence "May I borrow $20?".

How about 'could I possibly' plus 'verb 1'?

"Could I possibly leave early?

I'm not feeling well.".

We can also use 'would it be OK if I' plus ' verb 2'.

"Would it be OK if I contacted them tomorrow?".

And the last options: 'would you mind if I' plus 'verb 2'.

"Would you mind if I asked Mr. Jones to join the meeting?".

There are plenty of different ways we can ask somebody to do something for you, or to

ask permission, but one thing is true for all of them: you are asking somebody a question,

therefore it's CRUCIAL that we are polite.

One way to guarantee that you are speaking politely, is to use the word please.

Just put the word please at the beginning, or at the end of the sentence.

For example, "Could you take me to the airport, please?", or "Please, could you take me

to the airport?".

Why is Stretching Important - Mr2ndopinion.com - 0108 - Duration: 7:01.

Oh so you think stretching is for sissies huh...

We will see about that.

Stay tuned for my opinion on why stretchin is hella imporant

and why you folks get something good out of it!

Flexibility is your most important component in fitness ladies and gentlemen.

Strength or how much you push or pull is not so important as one thinks.

More important is that you use prepared warmed up muscle tissue throughout the entire

exercise while you put strain on them.

This delivers you a well-trained body.

If you don't stretch you'll need a patch a chiropractor or even worse surgery!

Stay flexible at all times and before every lift give yourself 5 min time to stretch.

In my opinion, since I started streching I've been doing way better and have endured

less pains afterbirths.

You may think it's not necessary for you but your wrong.

Everyone can get benefits out of stretching.

Decreased muscle stiffness and increase range of motion.

Who doesn't want that.

Streching will improve your motion which may also slow

down any degeneration of your joints and reduce risk of injury.

A flexible muscle is prepared for 'the blow' and is less likely injured from extensive

movements.

By increasing your range through streching your less likely to pull a muscle with out

time as a result.

Because of the stretch you will likely feel less resistance during the activities.

Even after I hit a warm shower it helps relieve aches or pains.

A hard workout can get the best of your bones, muscles, joints but streching makes

those pains less!

It keeps the muscles loose and less 'short' and tight, this allows me to feel

less pains post-workout.

It also improved my posture a whoe lot and the way my body looks.

I got much tighter than before I streched.

For the ladies stretchin can be a holy grail!

The lower back, shoulders and chest will also love you.

throughout the rest of your day because of your improvement of your posture.

Streching in my opinion is also great to reduce stress.

No only before a workout but during the day I also do some streches and it reduces my

stress.

Stress if it heaps up falls on your body because stress tenses the muscles and stiffens them

up to fight or flight.

Handeling yourself with a good stretch can feel really great.

Almost sexual, so give in to yourself for yourselfs sake.

Feel less stressed and more blessed, subscribe to mr2ndopinion.

Stretching will continue throughout the day as your muscles feel more relaxed.

I promise you, your body will feel more suiting when you stretch than tense

It's like a self-given massage.

It allows your muscles to relax and sit back.

Tense muscles get cut off from blood circulation and that results in lack of oxygen and other nutrients.

Toxicity can build up.

Can't reach a spot or need a back rub ladies?

I'm willing to share my love!

Gimme a call. I'll work that toxicity out of your body. Gentlemen give ya lady a back rub

Overall it's simple to say it improves your mechanical efficiency and functionality.

Reaching for things will be less of a worry and easier for you.

Even your dancing can improve from it.

Since you become more flexable and it requires less energy

for you to move through a wide range of motion.

the flexible body is a healthy body, it's more energy-efficient and has better access

to blood, oxygen and nutrients.

Prepares the body for the stress of exercise or be stretched out.

Don't be strechted out!

Stretching is a priority before everything else.

It's a safety belt for your body, a natural belt!

Oh and by the way... did I tell you it tightens your abdominals like a motherfcker!

X-cuze my slanguage.

Hope you picked up the lesson!

If there is animo for it I will do a video where I show you stretch exercises!

Seth Carnett from mr2ndopinion, go fetch a stretch!

How to Tell if Your Prospect is Real | M129 - Duration: 4:25.

Upon completing a highly dangerous tightrope walk in appalling wind and rain over a massive

canyon, 'The Great Maldini' was met by one particularly enthusiastic fan, who urged him

to make a return trip, this time pushing a wheelbarrow, which this particular fan had

thoughtfully brought along with him.

The Great Maldini as you can imagine was not so keen on the idea, especially given the

terrible conditions, but the fan goaded him on, "You can do it, you can do it - I know

you can do it," "You really believe I can do it?" asked Maldini.

"Yeah yeah - definitely - you can do it, we know you can".

"Okay," said Maldini, on one condition..

You get in the wheelbarrow..."

You see, Maldini understood the value of having skin in the game in separating the pretenders

from the players.

Real prospects, as opposed to real pretenders, also have no difficulty in putting skin in

the game before meeting with you because they're genuinely interested in exploring a business

relationship.

One of the simplest tactics for testing wether the individual you plan to meet with is a

suspect or a prospect, is to make homework prior to your first meeting a non-negotiable

part of your sales process.

Keep in mind that "non-negotiable" doesn't mean "force them" So position their homework

as a way to make your meeting a "good use of their time."

To help you focus on what's important to them.

In your selling process you may require specific operational or financial data from your prospects.

That's good, but their real homework is to complete a survey you create and return it

to you prior to your first meeting so you can get a good sense of what the real challenges

your prospect faces.

So, how do you go about doing that?

1.

The First thing is, establish the 3-5 pillars of your business - your pillars are the "macro"

problems that your prospects share with you (e.g. value, service, quality, delivery, range

of services).

In my business for example, there are 5 pillars – skills, strategy, structure, systems and

staff 2.

Under each pillar create 5-7 pain statements - these statements will give you a sense of

the real issue facing your prospect and potentially expand your sales opportunity.

For example a statement under "delivery" might be "we're never totally sure if our orders

will be delivered on time" or "we're not confident we could get a rush order out on

time.".

In my business one might be "My salespeople lack boardroom confidence" or "We're

using discounts to get deals over the line" 3.

Give each question a scale and define that scale - I find a 1-5 scale gives you a great

sense of how your prospect feels about a particular issue.

So "1" might be "not an issue" to 5 meaning that this is definitely a priority.

4.

Leave space at the end for two critical questions - first, ask for your prospect's best guess

as to the financial impact the issues they face have on their group/department/business

and second, offer an opportunity for your prospect to share other issues they would

like to discuss with you.

You know It's true that "if you want to be treated differently by your prospect you

must act and sound different than anybody else your prospect meets."

And some might consider asking your prospect to do a survey an additional hassle for them.

That's fair; however, considering that the major commodity that we trade is our time,

I prefer to qualify in advance that my prospect is real so I can spend time with individuals

who are genuinely interested in exploring how we might work together.

After all, they expect you to come prepared to your meeting, isn't it only fair that

they're prepared too?

Making homework a non-negotiable part of your sales process won't directly close more sales

for you, but it will help you spend more time with the right prospects.

That, is gold.
