Rajka Hayden: I really like the new corset belt trend that

I've been seeing and reading about all over.

I'm a little bit afraid to try it because frankly, my midsection is the least favorite

part of my body.

I wasn't sure how that would work and if it would accentuate that area.

I did find a new brand that I really like, so today I'm going to try out a couple of

corset belts from that brand and show you how I styled them.

A couple of months ago I was getting my hair cut with my stylist, Christina.

There was a woman there in the chair before me, I was little bit early, and Christina

decided to introduce us because she knows that I am so into fashion.

I got to meet Debra who is the founder of an accessory line called Love Strength.

I started following Love Strength on Instagram and I love their feed.

They show a bunch of stylists and regular people wear their accessories, mostly their

belts, which are incredible.

I started to see some really cool corset belts on that site.

So, I decided I'm going to give that a try.

It's a local San Diego woman, I'm going to support her and I really love them.

I'm going to show you the two belts here that I bought, they're just gorgeous.

This is a red leather, with this incredible hardware and straps and it has this elastic

in the back that is really nice because it fits really well.

I'm going to show you in a minute what I did with that.

The second one that I bought is this one here.

It has suede and this really cute little gold hardware here and the buckle and it has three

different sections back here.

I'm going to put in the links below which styles of belts these are, I don't remember

them right now off the top of my head, but which styles they are and the name of the

brand and where you can find them in case you like them and want to give it a try too.

In a minute I will show you some of styles that I created and some of the ways that I

am wearing these corset belts.

But I'll tell you, I was really pleasantly surprised.

Because they fit up high here, they really kind of do hold you in nicely and I haven't

been noticing a total accentuation of midsection.

Instead, I feel like it makes it look better.

And, definitely the corset belts have updated some of my more vintage looks.

That's what I was really looking for.

I love to pair an older vintage piece with something new or a new trend and I think it's

done that.

Let me just show you some of the ways I'm doing these belts.

Here I have an old 50s print shirt, a suede vintage skirt and my Louboutins.

My thought is that the red corset belt might help update this and make it look a little

newer.

I'm going to just put it up here.

I think it gives it a nice pop of color, modernizes the outfit a little bit and I think it accentuates

my waist.

I hope so.

Makes it look even better.

That's how I've been using them.

I'm going to be wearing these belts all summer and spring and gosh fall, into the

whole next year as long as they're popular - and probably even when they're not popular

anymore because I really do like them.

2017 Convocation Speaker Contest - Duration: 1:36.

and I'm originally from a Chicago suburb

I originally wasn't planning on auditioning for the

Convocation Speaker, but my friends dared me to do it

and so I just threw together a video and

I got it so yeah I was a little surprised

but I was excited at the same time

My speech was just kind of about how

you shouldn't be nervous to go up and

just randomly talk to someone new

just to go out and meet new people

because we are all in the same boat

We're all, you know, starting somewhere new

Don't let your fears decide how you are supposed to live your life

Go up to them, confront your fear

Say, "Hey fears, why don't you quit bossing me around?"

Because if you're living your life based of of your fears,

then the question is: are you really living at all?

Go audition even if you're having second thoughts about it

The worst you could is not even try
