Restaurants You Will Love - Duration: 1:55.

Inspired by the Netflix Prize, we decided to build a recommender system for restaurants

with the Yelp challenge dataset.

In conclusion, the key problem we are trying to solve is recommending restaurants to users

that better match their expectation.

The core feature of our recommender system is first break down the user and restaurants

to subgroup, process and analyze each subgroup finally aggregate the scores to make final

prediction.

After downloading all the dataset, we examine the json file and find out that.

The number of reviews in the collection is over 800,000.

However, bunch of restaurants have a rather poor number of reviews, like 1 or 3.

And many users contribute very few reviews as well.

So our first step is to refine the data by removing restaurants and users have less than

5 reivews.

Collaborative Filtering is the most popular method for recommender system.

The principal idea of CF is that users might be interested in items that are favorited

by similar users, and most of the existing CF methods measure users' preferences over

the entire item space.

In our case, over the reviews to all restaurants.

The truth is restaurants have multiple categories and users might have different taste over

different categories.

So we planned to cluster restaurants and users into ten different subgroups with strong affiliation

between each user/restaurant.

We first apply wrod2vec algorithm to the contents in the category filed in json file.

And each cluster will have several words from the category as tag.

For example, we will have first three clusters shown in this table.

And one of my favorite restaurant Panda Express will be grouped to both cluster 1 and cluster

2, for Panda Express have both Chinese tag and fast food tag.

Done with clustering, we create latent factor model to each cluster.

As the number of iteration increases, our model will become more fit to the collection

of user-restaurants data.

Then we use the overall mean rating, bias for user x, bias for restaurants and user-restaurant

interaction to predict the preference of aim user.

After aggregation, we have made our optimal recommendation for you.

combine all the ingredients such as

chicken, apple cider vinegar

marinate this for minimum 2 hours

over high medium heat

boil the marinated Adobo for 30 minutes

add the water and boil boil boil

after 30 minutes

turn over all the chickens

cover this and boil again for 10 minutes

MQTT OpenHAB ESP8266 Door / Window Sensor: Software (Using MAC) - Duration: 11:18.

Hey guys Matt here from MKSmartHouse.com and in this video I am going to show you how to

setup the software for the door sensor using a MAC.

[Intro]

So in the last video we left off with the door sensor being fully built so all it needs

is firmware and to be connected to the home automation server.

So let's start off with the firmware.

I recommend having my website open up so that way you have all the steps and commands ready,

and so you do not have to type in everything you can just copy and paste.

I know this is the software video but, there are some hardware things that we need besides

a computer.

We are going to need an arduino of some kind preferably a UNO or a MEGA equivalent with

its usb cable of course and male to male dupont jumper cables.

Links to these items will be in the description or on the website.

The first thing we are going to do is grab the arduino and put a jumper cable from RES

to GND.

Then grab the door sensor and connect all the pins to their corresponding spots so,

TX to TX, RX to RX, GND to GND, and 5V to 5V.

Before we continue, check to make sure the 2 pin jumper is above PGM.

Next we are going to go to the computer and go to the Arduino website https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software

scroll down to download the Arduino IDE, and click Mac OSX, then press download.

Next, go to finder and your downloads folder.

Drag the Arduino Application to your applications folder.

Then click on launchpad and then on the arduino application.

When it asks if you want to open click open.

Great we installed the arduino IDE, so now plug in your arduino.

If you are using a chinese uno like me there is one more thing we have to do which is install

the CH430 drivers.

So go to http://blog.sengotta.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/CH341SER_MAC-1.4.zip and it should automatically download the driver.

Then go to finder and your downloads folder.

Open the folder and double click on the CH43x_Install package.

Go through the setup by clicking Continue, then install and type in your admin password

and press install software as well as clicking continue installation.

Once it is done click restart and if it asks you can say move to trash.

When your computer is back up, open up the arduino IDE again.

To confirm your arduino is connected in the top bar go to Tools and if you hover over

Port: you should see /dev/cu.wchusbserialXXXXX if you can then select it.

Now we are going to add the ESP8266 boards so go to Arduino, then preferences and in

Additional Boards Manager URLs: type in http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json then press OK.

Next go to tools.

Then hover over board and to the right click Boards Manager.

In the search box type in esp8266.

It should be the first one and it should say esp8266 by esp8266 Community.

Click on it and press install.

Once it is installed press the close button.

Now, go back to Tools, hover over board and go to the right and scroll down to and click

Generic ESP8266 Module.

Next we are going to add the MQTT Library, so go to sketch and in the drop down hover

over Include Library and in the right, click on Manage Libraries.

In the search type in MQTT.

Scroll through the list to find the one that Says MQTT by Joel Gaehwiler, click on it and

press install.

Once installed click close.

Great!

All the prep work is complete.

Close out of arduino and now all we have to do is grab the code so we are going to head

over to my site, the link is in the description to the exact page and press the download MK-DoorSensor

Firmware.

On the new page press download.Then go to your finder and downloads folder and double

click on MK-DoorSensor.ino.

A pop up will come up asking if you want to put it in a folder, click OK.

It should bring up the code for the door sensor, and there are only a few things we have to

change.

The first thing is the wifi settings which are the ssid and password so change those

according to your network.

Please keep in mind that the esp8266 only works on 2.4ghz so type in your 2.4ghz wifi

ssid and password not your 5ghz.

Also when adding the information only change what is inside the quotation marks.

Next set of parameters are the Web Updater settings.

The devices I designed are great because I implemented a web user interface for each

individual device so that way if you ever have to flash new firmware you just go to

its web address.

The web address information is found at that top of the code in the giant comment block.

The first parameter is the hostname of the device, usually I only change the last digit

but since this is the first door sensor I will keep it as it is.

Next is the update path and personally I don't change that.

After that is the web user interface username and password, these are the credentials you

use to access the webpage because each device is protected.

The next set of parameters are for mqtt.

The first one is the outTopic and this is the topic for which the device sends commands

or messages to on the server.

The next one is the MQTT Server Ip address and this is simply the IP address of your

home automation or openhab server.

The last one is the Unique device ID and this simple differentiates each device on the MQTT

side, I usually just change the last digit for every single device.

That is it the code is ready to be flashed.

So go to tools and make sure the Board: is Generic ESP8266 Module and the port is /dev/cu.wchusbserialXXXX.

Once those are good press the upload button, it is the one with an arrow pointing to the

right.

When it is uploading you should see dots moving at the bottom and some percents.

After it is done uploading you should see it say 100% and Done uploading.

To confirm that it flashed correctly and is working you can fire up MQTT.fx, connect to

the server and in the subscribe section type in # and press subscribe.

Now if you separate and bring together the two contacts of the door sensor you should

see it either say OPEN or CLOSED depending on its current status.

If you do not have MQTT.fx then check out my Home Automation Server Setup Guide.

Now that we know it works let's close up the device and get it ready for use with the Automation

System.

First unplug the dupont wires in between the arduino and the device.

Then take the 2 pin jumper and move it over so it is above RUN.

After that take the lid to the device and put it on.

Finally plug the device into the wall.

Now the device is complete and just needs to be added to OpenHAB.

So ssh into your pi or whatever your server may be.

The first thing we are going to do is create the door sensor item.

So type in sudo nano /etc/openhab2/items/home.items and press enter, you may need to type in admin

password.

Then type in the comment //Security items then underneath that we are going to create

a software switch to control the security system.

Type in Switch SecuritySystem "Security System" and press enter.

Now we are going to create the actual item type in Contact MKDoorSensor1 "Door Status

[%s]" <door> { mqtt="<[broker:MK-SmartHouse/security/MK-DoorSensor1:state:default]" } and press enter.

Now let me go over the two items we created.

The first one is a dummy switch and we will implement it later more in the rules but what

it will do is turn the openHab security system on and off.

The second item is the door sensor.

This is the line you would replicate if you had more door sensors.

Anyway the first part is Contact and since this device is a door sensor we use contact

type.

The next part is the item name and I just used its hostname without the dash.

After that is the label text and it is what shows up in the interface and how it is formatted

with the name and value.

Next to that is the icon name which is what picture shows up in the interface.

Then lastly, we have the mqtt path to the device in there is the outTopic that we coded

into the device.

Now press control x then y and enter.

Next up is the sitemap file so we can see the device status and our switch.

Type in sudo nano /etc/openhab2/sitemaps/home.sitemap and press enter.

It will bring up the sitemap.

If you are following along with my series then we have many different frames in our

sitemap.

I am going to replace what is in the security frame with our new items.

So delete the demo switch and type in Switch item=SecuritySystem and press enter and line

up your cursor underneath the S in switch and type in Text item=MKDoorSensor1 what we

did is import the items into the sitemap.

Now press control x then y and enter.

Before we go any furthur lets confirm that everything works so go to your web user interface

and then Basic UI.

You should see the Security system switch which right now does not do do anything but

you should also see the the door sensor or in my case the side door and if you open and

close the contacts you should see the status change.

Great it all works except the switch so let's fix that and make the security system do something.

In terminal type in sudo nano /etc/openhab2/rules/home.rules and press enter.

In the file type in //Side Door Sensor Is Open

rule "Side Door Sensor" when

Item MKDoorSensor1 received update OPEN then

if(SecuritySystem.state == ON) {

sendBroadcastNotification("SECURITY SYSTEM: SIDE DOOR OPEN")

} End

Let me explain what this does, it checks for whenever the door sensor sends open and if

it does, then it checks for if the security system is on and if it is then it sends every

user you setup in myopenhab.org a notification.

Now press control x then y and enter.

Go back to the basic UI and make sure the Security System switch is on.

Now make the door sensor closed then open.

If everything works right and you have a mobile device setup with openhab then you should

get a notification.

Also if you turn of the switch then you will not get notifications.

That is it!

The software is complete, now all we have to do is install the device in its final place

which will be completed in the next final installation video.

I'm supporting Jim Johnson for governor because he is a public servant and especially here

in New Jersey we need a governor who cares about everyday people.

You know it's easy to say the politically popular things on the campaign trail but Jim

has spent his entire life fighting for all of us and he's going to bring that same sort

of dedication as governor.

He started as a first generation college student graduated from Harvard law school.

He could have gone off made his millions instead he came back to the community to fight for

us.

First, as a federal prosecutor were he took on the mob and the drug cartels and won.

And then as a Civil Rights lawyer where he was the chair of the Brennan center for justice

making sure that everybody had a right to vote.

So Jim's the only candidate that's got the experience and the integrity to challenge

the powers that be on, behalf of the people.

That's why he's got my vote and that's why I hope you're gonna vote for him as well.

Negotiating With Your Spouse Part 2 - Preparation - Duration: 5:26.

Hi guys.

This is the second in our four-part series on negotiating with your spouse, and our focus

today is on preparation.

I believe that begins with a plan, and I'd like for you to write it down.

I'd like for you to write down what it is that you must have.

What are those have-to's that you must emerge with if you're going to call this negotiation

successful.

Then follow up with those things that you'd like to have if you could.

They're not absolutely essential, but you'd like to have them if you could.

Then I want you to flip that around, and look at it from your spouse's point of view.

What it that your spouse must have, and then what are those things that your spouse would

like to have, if he or she could have their way.

Now, when you have all of that written down, then it's easier to come up with the sequence

to use to guide your spouse gently to yes on the issues that matter.

Once you've done that, I'd like for you to have your buddy or your friend look that

over, see if they have anything they want to share with you about how you can look at

it differently, or challenge you with questions or whatever.

So now you have your plan.

It's time for a rehearsal.

I'd like for you to have your buddy play your spouse, armed with whatever information

you can provide to your buddy about what to expect.

Once you have an adversary, and I hate to use the term, but they really, you are talking

about a negotiation, and their interests are a little different from yours, so it's okay,

I think, for us to use the term adversary, lay out that sequence that you worked out.

And as you do it, practice keeping your cool.

There are going to be some things that your spouse may do that sort of push your buttons.

And if you know what those are and can prime your buddy so that your buddy kind of presses

those buttons, you practice keeping your cool even though those things are coming up.

Also, practice giving positive feedback to your spouse.

Neither of you is going to be very accustomed to that.

So if you're doing that.

I'm not saying you're complimenting your spouse on how good he or she looks, or how

good he or she smells.

This is about their being a good parent, or a good spouse, or a good thoughtful person

who has done a good job laying the groundwork for what the two of you have to do to get

through this.

You're complimenting them on those kinds of things.

And in the process, I want you to practice finding common ground.

Say, "Oh, now that's something on which we agree."

"Our interests are completely aligned here."

"You and I – we want the very same thing."

That's something that you and your spouse may not be accustomed to looking for these

days.

But if you are on the lookout for it with your buddy's help, then when you do that

in negotiation, it may change the tenor, and help the negotiation be much more productive

for both of you.

Then when you've finished, I want you to stop, and get your buddy to critique you.

"How did I do?"

"What did you think of the way I handled this?"

"How would you suggest that I approach it when my spouse does this or does that, or

says this or says that?"

Then after you've done that, go back and do it again.

Rehearsal's cheap.

Play it over.

And if it takes three or four or five times, great!

Go ahead and do those rehearsals over and over, so that you develop the confidence you

need to head into a negotiating session with your spouse.

Now with that confidence, I think you're ready to set up the session with your spouse.

I suggest you call for a neutral site.

Not your place, not your spouse's place, a park, a McDonald's, some kind of common

area that neither of you feels like is home territory for the other.

Relatively free from distractions; we don't want things that are going to keep the two

of you from focusing on the issues at hand.

I'd like for you to be well rested, and I'd like for your spouse to be well rested

as well.

It won't do you a lot of good if you're well rested and your spouse is short-tempered

and exhausted where they pop off on something that doesn't matter.

So I'd like for you to find a time when both of you can be well rested.

Don't want your children anywhere nearby.

Your children don't need to be part of this.

So make sure that they're well out of the way.

I'm a big believer in announcing the purpose of the meeting.

I do not like to have you use the term "negotiation."

I can't explain it exactly, but something about the term "negotiation" makes people

feel like there's going to be a win/lose, and that's not the case at all.

So rather than say "I'd like to set up a time when we can negotiate," say "I'd

like for us to set up a time when we can work through the issues of our divorce."

That way, the two of you know that's what you're going to be talking about, and you'll

come prepared with the data you need, and with the questions you need to answer, so

that the two of you can have an effective session.

So that's the preparation.

hello everyone welcome back to my

reborn youtube channel today I have the

gorgeous reborn Juliet here and my last

video I did of her she was getting

changed for her bath and she

unfortunately had a very dirty diaper

so I got her cleaned up after that and

I'm now put her in this gorgeous

gorgeous pink bath that I purchased

recently that I absolutely love been

dying to get a pink bath for so many

years I will only have the white one so

yeah I need to warn you now that um this

is an anatomically correct full-body

silicone baby so there are girl bits

that sort of thing I have put some

bubbles down there to try and conceal

her a little bit there but um if your

not wanting to see that then please

don't keep watching this video because

you will be seeing a little girl baby

parts so yeah today and this is what I'm

going to be washing her with it's just a

two in one shampoo and conditioner and

Curash brand and there's really not a lot

left than there's only a little bit of

bubbles is not too bubbly and I've got

this really cute little our watermelon

bar sponge that I said I'll do so this

is her very first bath in here and it's

my first time using this and first

because it is brand-new and she Julia

hasn't had a bath for about twelve

months so it's a good opportunity to get

off any build-up that might have settled

into her little cracks and crevices or

into her hair and her hair hasn't been

done for quite some time so that will be

good to get that done so

quite some times it was on this just

going to now with Romy's babies she just

a little bit of water I face she the way

she designs her for body silicone is

that she gives them a ball jointed head

so skidding some we dust out of her eyes

so is a good thing to go good things

clean she does have an open mouth

but as she hasn't had a hair wet for

some time I will dampen that down today

now yes she has a ball jointed head so

they don't recommend what's not

recommended that you fully submersible

into the into the water and that's why I

always use these supports like this

little sling support for this particular

arm bath but even if it was just hollow

like this ones molded so even if this

wasn't on here she would still be

sitting in the little supports that are

supplied inside the bath but the ones

that have nothing like just a whole big

bath you can buy these little inserts

which I have so that even though they're

laying in the bath they're not laying

straight down and touring it because I

don't want lots of water going into her

neck and into underneath her neck joints

don't want to have any moles or any

other thing going and you just need to

be very careful with silicones here

because it just it's not glued and

obviously it can't be glued in so it's

um it's it's just rooted in and it can't

stay in there because there's nothing to

keep it in that except for you know how

deeply it's rooted so I'm always very

mindful about that

and also with the macking on full body

silicone you don't want to be like

rubbing any cloth or anything washcloth

all over the body because you could be

in effect scratching off their silicone

you know and sorry they're massing on

this all the time and then that's going

to unfortunately make them really really

shiny and silicones don't look very good

when they're I'm really really shiny so

um they just look very unrealistic so

it's always trying to be just really

really delicate and gentle with life or

what I tell a time they are you know

was the closed isle version and she I

think she made 10 of each she only

generally makes like up to ten from x

only eight of each skull so there's ten

of Juliette out there in the world as

well as one artists prototype which for

memory is harder silicone she's not as

soft as the ten other silicone and so

Ronnie was selling these quite a few

years ago inside her first two silicones

and she continued today sell them and I

think they're just amazing works of art

and I'm very very very proud to to own

might one of my own and they do sell for

quite

money so if anyone is interested in

having one of their own you just need to

look up Romi stratum on Facebook sorry
