I want to say.

It is quite beautiful.

What I'm wearing, what you bought?

I feel like this would be perfect for...gelato.

I'm kind of hungry, not going to lie.

What are you talking about?

No.

Have you seen this before?

Oh my god, this smells like Christmas!

Mhmm, according to your partner Alfie, everything reminds you of Christmas.

YAASSS.

It's July!

Sigh, anyway, I digress.

Is there any other witness that was present at the scene of the crime?

Um, yeah let me call Mark.

Mark!

Mark, call Mark.

Hello Mark, what?

Anxiety and My Nighttime Routine - Duration: 1:43.

Hi. I'm Tanya Peterson with the Anxiety- Schmanxiety blog here on HealthyPlace.com.

Anxiety used to bother me at night a lot and kept me from getting quality sleep.

But then I developed a ritual that I do every single night that makes me calm

and makes anxiety stay away.

Every night, after the rest of the household has gone to bed,

I come down, I enjoy the quiet.

I make myself a cup of tea and I will sit mindfully with it

and just sip the tea and enjoy the silence.

And then I have my planner with me.

This is a weekly planner.

And I will look at the tasks that were before me today.

Wow! I got X Y & Z done. I had a great day.

And then, I look at what lies ahead of me for tomorrow.

Okay, I still need to do A, B and C.

And I don't have to worry about it at night because it's written down.

It's right there. I can pick it up in the morning, so that I put that planner aside.

I finish my tea, turn off the lights, and go to bed anxiety free.

Consider developing a ritual for yourself. Something that calms you,

to keep your anxiety away at night.

What kind of ritual would you have?

Anxiety Has Nasty Surprises - Duration: 1:22.

Hi. I'm Tanya Peterson, author of the Anxiety-Schmanxiety blog here at HealthyPlace.com.

Anxiety can have some nasty surprises for us.

For example, I might be just going about my day, doing my thing,

and then, BAM! Anxiety will hit with a surprise attack.

And it will try to take over my emotions, my thoughts, my behaviors.

And it used to catch me off-guard and completely derail me.

I'd get caught up in all those anxious things after that surprise attack.

I've learned, though, to separate myself

from anxiety's behavior, from it's sneak attack.

I just accept that it's anxiety doing its thing

and I don't have to be controlled by it.

I recognize the thoughts, the feelings,

and I just put them aside

separate myself and keep going.

And so when anxiety sneak attacks you,

recognize it as just that;

an attack from anxiety which is outside of you.

Let it be and just keep going along being you.

Anxiety Self-Help Books for Your Anxiety - Duration: 1:40.

Hi. I'm Tanya Peterson with the Anxiety- Schmanxiety blog here on HealthyPlace.com.

Books are wonderful tools in helping us understand and overcome anxiety.

There are all sorts of books that do that.

There's nonfiction for the facts.

There's nonfiction in the form of self-help

that helps us go through and create plans

for ourselves and our anxiety.

And, perhaps surprisingly, there's fiction.

Novels are wonderful ways to understand

and see a person, a human being,

dealing with anxiety and what that is actually like.

One of my favorite novels that deals with this

is the novel called, "All the Light We Cannot See".

We see a man named, Etienne,

who has agoraphobia and generalized anxiety disorder

having to face various crises.

It's set during World War II.

And we see his story in the context

of a greater story, just like us.

We have anxiety in the context of our lives.

So what is it like for this man

to deal with crises while he has anxiety?

Novels like this one are incredibly inspiring

and help me understand

and think of ways to deal with my own anxiety.

What books work for you

to deal with your anxiety?

Best DIY Home Security Systems - Top 5 Review 2017 - Duration: 14:10.

when most people think of the best DIY home security systems they think of the simple branded

systems that are highly advertised on the internet and big-box stores what

they don't realize is that the professional security manufacturers such

as Qolsys, Honeywell, 2gig have been developing systems that are just as easy

to self install technologically superior and can be remotely programmed by our

technicians now based on expert opinions geoarm has developed a four point

proprietary structure that will help us rate the top five security

systems of 2017 the ranking scale with a lot 20% to user friendliness 20% to

price 20% to aesthetics and 40% to the overall features that each DIY panels

contain coming in at number off the Honeywell they help that about the l7000

security system was released at 2014 which means it's amazing that it's still

able to make our list considering the other systems are much newer the l7000

will make the list mostly in parts for these reasons end users can view up to

4 Honeywell IP cameras at a time using the L7000 quad screen capabilities with

l7000 you can easily hardwire in an external powered siren which allows your

alarm system to emit a much louder siren Wow in the event of a triggered alarm

the randomized lighting control feature with additions of some z-wave automation

light module the l7000 can easily be set up when you leave on vacation to put

randomized lighting patterns to look as if someone is home no other system on

our list has this ability the flexible monitoring

features such as Wi-Fi only cellular only or dual pass communications

this gives end-users the choice to sacrifice reliability with lower cost

are monitoring rates if desired lastly the l7000 system is the least

expensive of all the other systems on our list the l7000 missed out on the

number-4 spot mainly in part because it's a much bulkier panel with a two

inch depth mark and is that much more tedious task as far as end-users installing

the panel end users have to install each and every additional part such as

cellular communicator Wi-Fi communicator z-wave radio and backup battery for the

full product review click the show more tab in the description world there be a

direct link coming in at number four the 2gig gc3 wireless security and are

consistent with 2gig being a well respected company in the industry with

their previous gp2 system other companies began to release more modern

and robust systems which meant it was time for 2gig to release the gc3 system

gc3 moved to a much larger seven-inch touchscreen display with a screen

resolution of 800 by 480 the navigational software has been upgraded

to allow for much easier user interactions which has been a huge

addition installation of the gc3 panel is very user friendly all end-users will

have to do is install the pledge dial cellular communicator wire the power

transformer and decide whether they want to table mount or

to panel two points that we discovered about the GP three that stand out from

the other contenders are the GP three has the Loudest stock siren coming in at

105 decibels the GC3 can handle more z-wave home automation devices more than

any of the other panels on our list coming in at 232 total devices though

that gc3 panel has made some major advancements it comes in at the number

four spot with a total score of 74 points mainly due to the fact that it's

the most expensive panel on our list and it's all shortened some of the feature

categories such as limited monitoring abilities even though the gc3 has an

internal Wi-Fi card at this point it's not quite activated which limits its

overall communication path coming in at number three the Qolsys IQ panel

the IQ panel actually finished with two more points than our number two spot but we

had to give some extra credence in one specific factor that involved features

which will be explained the original IQ panel has the major upside starting with

its price it comes in as the second least expensive system out of all of the

contenders this panel was the first effort to offer from factory a 24 hour

backup battery some of the other systems on our list do have the availability for

a 24 hour backup battery but they will set you back about 30 to 40 dollars the

IQ panel was the first panel ever to have a 3 megapixel front mounted camera

put directly on the touchscreen the front mounted camera works when the

system is disarmed it'll text and/or email a notification to a client that

has the alarm.com interactive service activated

it was also the first alarm control panel to be able to announce custom

words other security systems will allow them to enter in a custom word but will

not announce them in detail the quota side view panel is not only designed for

professional installations but mainly for the DIY home security market because

it has all of the communicators modules and backup battery built directly in the

only downside to the original cuales IQ panel is the fact that its sensors are

not encrypted encryption has become the most cutting-edge feature when it comes

to wireless home security systems this is why the panel comes in at the number

3 spot finishing with a total of 86 points make sure to click the show more

tab in the description below where you'll have a direct link to the full

product review coming in at number 2 the Honeywell lyric security system

The Lyric controller which serves as the main control hub for the security system

still have a 7 inch touchscreen display but has upgraded from the previous l7000

with a new screen resolution of 1024 by 600 end-users if they wish can set up

voice commands to verbally communicate to the lyric controller to start or stop

security or home automation functions no other system has this capability on our

list flexible monitoring features such as Wi-Fi only cellular only or dual path

communications this gives the end-users the choice to

whether they want to sacrifice reliability or lower cost alarm

monitoring rates lyric is added a 2 megapixel front mounted camera so that

when the system is disarmed they can text or email a notification to end

users with the Wi-Fi communicator activated and Total Connect 2.0 services

with the lyric controller you can do up to 8 cameras with its dual quad stream

capabilities which is unmatched Honeywell lyric 2 that a new line of

security sensors called six series sensors with these sensors being

encrypted this was a major factor in bumping this lyric controller up to the

number two spot installation of the lyric controller scores great remarks

because all the end-user has to do is slide the cellular communicator into

place install the backup battery and decide whether they want to wall mount

or depth mount the control panel the only downside to the Honeywell lyric

security systems that we could find was the six series sensors are a little bit

bulky and there's no option for an external hard wired siren like there has

been in the past now finishing with a total of ninety four points we have

reached the number one Best DIY Home security system of 2017 the Qolsys IQ panel 2

wireless security and home automation system the IQ panel 2 boasts the smallest

seven inch touchscreen display ever created and the leading screen

resolution of 1280 by 800 IQ panel 2 has upgraded to an industry bed five

megapixel front mounted camera directly on the touchscreen this front camera

will send clients who have alarm.com interactive monitoring services

activated a tech and/or email notification when the panel is disarmed

a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor and Android 5 plus software

has been added which helps announce custom words

makes using the menu driven navigation system more user-friendly and allows for

more customization this panel offers a 24-hour backup battery from factory some

of the other panels on our list to allow for 24-hour backup battery but will set

you back about thirty to forty dollars a whole new line of security sensors were

added called ëthe line sensors these sensors offer end-users encryption the

best wireless signal range nominally at 600 feet and an average battery life

between five to eight years these next features are really what sets apart the

IQ panel 2 from the others and the one word that comes to mind is innovation IQ

panel 2 is the first security system ever to include a built-in glass break

detector and the motion sensor this saves both time and money

to the end users a built-in Bluetooth LTE 4.0 module has been installed

directly to the panel this allows for end-users to parents of five smart

devices so when they come within 30 to 40 feet of the panel it will

automatically disarm the system without touching anything a built-in router if a

client has a bunch of other devices such as video games or other streaming

devices on the Wi-Fi network the IQ panel twos built-in router will divert

some of the bandwidth so you don't see any lapse in the connection speeds the

IQ panel 2 is one of the first panels ever to offer z-wave Plus technology

z-wave plus improves speed security and range compared to standard z-wave

devices the IQ panel 2 has all of its communicators modules and backup battery

built directly in all of end user needs to do to begin installing and

programming the eye you handle two is to plug in the power

supply and decide whether they want a wall or death Mountain the actual panel

the only downsides to the Qolsys IQ panel 2 that we can find were

one you cannot view IP cameras directly on the touch screen two Qolsys has

decreased the decibel level of their siren from their previous IQ panel we

hope you enjoyed the top 5 DIY home security systems of 2017 presentation

all of the systems that were selected today either has or will have dual task

communications with internet and cellular communicators as this is the

most reliable way to communicate signals to a Central Station all of these

systems can have their sensors remotely programmed by our technicians which

Due to this the body cells don't receive the energy they need to function properly.

This leads to increased fatigue for no apparent reason.

2.

Frequent Urination When the blood sugar is too high, our kidneys

cannot reabsorb the fluid and as a result we suffer from frequent urination problems.

5 of the Best Google Maps Alternatives You Should Try - Duration: 5:04.

Hi this is Phil from Make Tech Easier and welcome to five of the best Google

Maps alternatives you should try. Google Maps is good, let's just get that out of

the way first. Google's ever updating, ever improving

navigation is popular and robust enough to have more or less brought on the

death of the paper map and it feels like it's getting more and more accessible by

the day. But there are still reasons why you wouldn't want to, or can't, use Google

Maps some countries like China run a pretty tight ship when it comes to

regulation making Google Maps over there as good as useless. Or maybe you just

don't want Google algorithms profiting off your data. Whatever your reasons, we

won't pry and instead treat you to five of the best map apps that aren't

prefaced with Google. Here Wego. If a consortium of BMW, Audi and Mercedes were

willing to cough up three billion dollars to Nokia for this app, there

must be something good about it, right? Here supports over 200 countries and

provides all basic features like navigation, places to visit and detailed

routes, as well as giving you up-to-date info and prices on all public transport

links around your area, calculating them for you. Here are offers current route

conditions using different information like police reports, cameras, Twitter

feeds, construction sites, speed cameras and other data, to keep you informed and

provide a faster route, if required. Its offline map support is also amazing with

the ability to archive a whole continent and get step-by-step navigation even

while offline. Backcountry Navigator. Found yourself in the middle of lord

knows where perhaps on a mountainside or a dense forest in the Canadian

wilderness? Google Maps won't be much help because

it doesn't detail the topography at the land like Backcountry does. Designed

with hikers and outdoorsy types in mind this map uses GPS waypoints and allows

you to do such manual things like enter the longitude and latitude coordinates

of your location. It's a crucial companion when you're out in nature

relying on the highly detailed topography maps from various established

sources like USTopo, OpenCycleMaps and even nautical maps from

the NOAA RNC should you get shipwrecked or something. Waze. Waze is a community

driven map service that is fast to navigate and very intuitive. It's highly

interactive system, which lets you warn other drivers of changes in traffic,

speed cams, hazards and so on, on the roads, proved so popular that Google

bought the company in 2013. It's telling that four years on waves continues to

exist as a separate entity from Google Maps. You can get information about the

cheapest gas stations near you, under construction sites, accidents, speed

cameras, police and other information that is updated by millions of other

Waze users. You can even track other Waze users and your friends locations in real

time. Bear in mind that it's designed more for drivers and pedestrians looking

to get around a city. Navmii. Navmii is a feature-rich maps and navigation

service that is serving over 85 countries. It offers all the basic

features such as turn-by-turn navigation, bookmarking, nearest locations and search

and satellite views. It provides alerts like speed limits, traffic, speed cameras,

construction sites, slowdowns and much more. All this gets even better with the

community driven updates from other Navmii users. Navmii also partners with

Foursquare, TripAdvisor and What3Words to provide customized searches. Its

other features include Google Street View, ETA indicator, automatic rerouting HD

maps and full offline navigation support. Though our favorite has to be the "driver

scoring" which rates your driving based on the movements and GPS sensors in your

phone. You're interested now, right? MapQuest. MapQuest is another great

Google Maps alternative especially if you use public transportation for commuting.

It will let you compare your local transportation services for your route

like Uber or Car2Go and also book cars right in the app. It also provides

quick updates about all local transportation options near you. If you

like walking to different places, it will show you how many calories you will burn

to which is a nice perk. Its advanced features include automatically routing,

real-time traffic conditions, ETA, the ability to detect cameras, accidents,

construction sites, slowdowns, location sharing, weather reports

and roadside assistance. It also has some basic features of Google Maps like

turn-by-turn navigation, bookmarking, best route,

satellite view and nearby locations to visit etc. Conclusion. Most of the

above-mentioned apps focus on providing the most up-to-date information about

your local area perhaps even better than the great G maps itself. So what do you

think? Have you tried any of these and others and have some experiences to

report, good or bad? Let us know. Ok as always, thanks for watching and please

subscribe and add your comments below. See you next time!

Real Anglers Try Minn Kota Ultrex: Advanced AutoPilot - Duration: 1:20.

(music and voice overs from various anglers)

You can just set it on it and go. I don't have to worry about anything.

It drives itself!

You just set that thing and go.

Because now you can go down the back - you don't have to hit the foot pedal, you don't have to do nothin'.

You can basically set that direction and then it'll adjust to be able to maintain the course that you've set.

Go down a bank, cover as much water as I possibly can, not wear myself out and just fish.

It'll keep the same angle the whole time without even foolin' with it.

It's literally foot free fishing.

If you're casting, covering water...put that thing on and just go and go and go.

You put it on one or two and cruise right down a bank line.

Now that's really, really, really nice -

not having to use your feet to fool around with the foot controls.

You could drop it down to a really low speed and flip a whole grass line .

-Now that's got some brains to it! -That's useful! -Yeah! (chuckles)

Sun Salutation B (Surya Namaskara B) - Duration: 5:03.

Hi, there. I'm Rebecca. So welcome to my Youtube channel. In this video I'll be teaching Sun Salutation B

Now this is a progression of sun salutation a. It's a similar sequence, but it will include warrior 1 pose and also chair pose

So I'll talk you through it step by step

We're going to firstly begin with a modified version

Which is a little bit easier

so coming to the front of your mat you want to bring your feet together and start standing up tall and

now you're going to inhale and reach the arms up high and

Now exhale start to fold it forward bending the knees slightly if you need to relax the head down

Then you're going to inhale to come up part way, stretch the back and then exhale fold it back down

Now with bent knees you're going to step straight back into down dog

Now from here you're going to step your right foot way between the hands. Help it along if you need to.

Now come up onto your fingertips and turn your back foot flat

Make sure that you lined up heel to heel here, and that the outer edge of that back foot is grounded into the floor

Now straighten through your back leg

Keeping it straight, bring your hands onto your hips and slowly lift the torso up off the thigh

Then go turn your left hip forward and your right

hip back, tuck the pelvis in and you're going to inhale and reach the arms up and now exhale

Your hands head back down keeping the awareness in this back leg

You're gonna come up onto the ball of that back foot and step it back into downward dog. and now the other foot

So now your left that comes forward come up onto your fingertips again and your back Foot is flat. Now

Pressing into this left heel, and that back leg you're going to inhale

Arms are going to reach

lifting the waist up off the pelvis here and

Now exhale your hands come back down

And step it back into downward dog. Take a couple of breaths here.

stretching the spine by pressing the chest towards the thighs and

Now walk your feet back to your hands

Again inhale to look up and exhale to fold

and now come up all the way arms are going to reach and

exhale back to standing

So once you've got that we're going to move on to the full version now

So this time you're going to bend your knees into a chair position

You're going inhale and reach the arms up and now exhale fold it forward

inhale to look up and exhale

This time you're going to step back into a plank position

Now you can either put your knees down here or lower down flat all the way

now you're going to inhale up for a back bend and

Exhale lower it flat and push up into a downward dog

Now from here just as we did before you're gonna step your right foot between the hands

extend through this back leg and you're gonna reach up into warrior one

And then exhale

Hands Come back down

step back into plank and lower

You're going to inhale up for cobra and exhale

downward dog

And now you can step your left foot forward. last warrior one. You're gonna come up

stretch into that back leg, reach it up and

exhale

Hands come back down step back lower

Now inhale and exhale

down your dog

Now breathe here one last time

Just allow the breath to settle there

And then walk your feet back to your hands

You're gonna inhale to lift up and exhale to fold

bend your knees down again back into chair pose one last time stretch it up look up and

Straighten all the way back to standing

Ok so well done

Once you've mastered this, you really will have

Got the fundamentals of yoga

One Of The Easiest Ways To Fail An Exam - Duration: 7:55.

Hey guys, what's up Stefanie the English coach here from englishfulltime.com and in this video

We are going to talk about one of the easiest ways to fail an exam

And I know this topic is important to you guys because you have to

I mean a lot of you probably have to take the ielts the toefl or a bunch of other english exams

The truth is this tip can be used for any

Exam to help you not fail any kind of exam that you take so I'm just going to dive right in but it starts

With a story okay, so back in 2014 when I was living in Argentina with my husband renzo

We decided that it would be a good idea to study translation at a national university over there, okay

And we were just like okay

We'll just try this out and see if we want to do this

But before you we could start the program

we had to take an

Exam to just enter they had to test our level of English to make sure that it was appropriate to be able to do this

Program because it was an English Spanish

Spanish translating degree, I can't talk and so I was just like oh my gosh

This is going to be a piece of cake because obviously I mean like I'm a native English speaker

and you know not to brag or anything, but my english is pretty darn good even among English speakers and

so I just went in with all this confidence the

Classes because we had to take like a month of classes before the actual like exam

And I just sat in the back. I was like this is boring. I know all of this already

I was able to do all of the homework and you know classwork in ten minutes

it was a bunch of fill in the blank worksheets that everyone else would just spend so much time on and

I was like this is stuff I did like in fourth grade, so whatever

And normally I'm the kind of student that like sits in the front of the class like I talked with the teacher I start class

Discussions that's you know how I normally was as a student in college and high school and all that

but anyways so I sat in the back and then the day comes for us to take the test, and I do like all of the

What's it called like the fill in the blank

responses where and

also the questions where you have to bubble in the answer I do all of those

and at the end of the test there's a

Specific section that is an essay question and when I hear the word essay, I'm thinking okay

This is at least like a five paragraph

Kind of written response thing that they're going to want and then I read the instructions, and it says okay

You know create a story, I'm like... a story? that's not even an essay. That's so easy

I could write a story like in two minutes. You know and it said create a story

That's about blah blah blah, and it said it has to be like 150 words, and I looked at that

I was like is that a typo is that a mistake a hundred and fifty words. Maybe it was 250 words

I don't remember but

What I do know is it was literally a paragraph like that's how much I was supposed to write and I was like

It's ridiculous, and I love writing. I don't know if you guys know this about me, but I absolutely love creative writing

I took a creative writing class

Back in California before even going to Argentina. I love writing

I took advanced writing classes all through high school and college

So when I saw this on a test.... write you know 150 words. I was just like Oh my gosh

I will be done with this test in two minutes, and I could have done that I could have you know just

written that and and been done with it and

Turned in the test and went home or whatever, but I was just like no like actually I actually feel like writing

This is a pretty interesting topic

So whatever I'll just go ahead, and I'll make like a more elaborate story

So I literally spent the next two hours writing this really funny story. I was so proud of it

I was just like oh my gosh. This story is amazing is so funny

Whoever grades this test when they read it they're gonna laugh you know and

I think like other students started looking at me like why is she taking so long isn't she a native speaker

And I was just like whatever I don't care what they think I feel like writing a story, so

Like I turn in the test. You know I skip home. I take the train home whatever and then a week or so later

We're in class waiting to get our results on the test, and I was just like so happy I was like

Oh my gosh

Like I wonder what comments they wrote about my story like my ego was through the roof apparently right

And I get my test back and I had failed

Yes a big fat like

3 on my test when you fail a test like in the U.S. usually we're graded with letters like A, B, C, D, right

I'm used to getting all A's hello, but in other countries and in Argentina, specifically

They grade on like a scale from I don't know

What is it 1-10 or something like that and I think I got a 3 and I was like

That's like an F minus minus like that's a horrible grade. How did I fail and then they underlined the part that said?

150 words, and I was like no, that's the dumbest mistake

I could have made it didn't matter that my english was brilliant. It didn't matter that

I had the best English in the class. It didn't matter that my grammar was perfect none of that mattered

It didn't matter that my story was funny none of it matters the point was I didn't follow directions all because of my stupid

Ego okay, so your ego can and will get you in trouble

the point is you guys when you take tests in English or about anything read the directions and

follow the damn directions like don't try to get smart with the test don't try to

Go outside the box that is not the moment to be creative

And it's not the moment to just think on your own be like oh, well, I'll just do it this way NO

People that make a test like that or like the ielts or the toefl or whatever they're looking for something

extremely specific

So you have to give them what they want because they have a ruler and that ruler can only measure

What they're asking for they can't and they won't measure anything out of that and plus

They're just going to be like oh this person can't follow directions

And they want to know that we can follow directions right and yes, I can follow directions

But sometimes I like to be a rebel and not follow directions

But that was a time where it really got me in trouble

and I had to retake the test and imagine how embarrassing that was when I the

Native English speaker had to go back

you know a week later to retake this test with all of everyone else that had failed okay super embarrassing and

Then that's a whole nother story, but finally I gave them what they wanted and then when they gave me that test back

I had passed, but they gave me like a six or a seven and at that point. I was like whoa

Why is my grade so low you guys come on like my English is fantastic

And then they marked certain things that I had done wrong on the test like grammar things that actually weren't wrong and then later I

had to go to the teachers and

Explain to them why they were wrong about this English grammar thing

But oh well another story for another time the point is when you take tests, please, please please

Follow the directions

don't try and get creative so anyhow let me know in the comments what you think about this story and have you ever made a

Mistake like this on a test

I'm sure, I'm not the only one okay, so

anyhow, guys, I'll talk to you later. Thanks for watching bye

What happens when you have a concussion? - Clifford Robbins - Duration: 6:16.

Each year in the United States,

players of sports and recreational activities

receive between 2.5 and 4 million concussions.

How dangerous are all those concussions?

The answer is complicated,

and lies in how the brain responds when something strikes it.

The brain is made of soft fatty tissue, with a consistency something like jello.

Inside its protective membranes and the skull's hard casing,

this delicate organ is usually well-shielded.

But a sudden jolt can make the brain shift

and bump against the skull's hard interior,

and unlike jello, the brain's tissue isn't uniform.

It's made of a vast network of 90 billion neurons,

which relay signals through their long axons to communicate throughout the brain

and control our bodies.

This spindly structure makes them very fragile

so that when impacted, neurons will stretch and even tear.

That not only disrupts their ability to communicate

but as destroyed axons begin to degenerate,

they also release toxins causing the death of other neurons, too.

This combination of events causes a concussion.

The damage can manifest in many different ways

including blackout,

headache,

blurry vision,

balance problems,

altered mood and behavior,

problems with memory, thinking, and sleeping,

and the onset of anxiety and depression.

Every brain is different,

which explains why people's experiences of concussions vary so widely.

Luckily, the majority of concussions fully heal

and symptoms disappear within a matter of days or weeks.

Lots of rest and a gradual return to activity

allows the brain to heal itself.

On the subject of rest,

many people have heard that you're not supposed to sleep

shortly after receiving a concussion because you might slip into a coma.

That's a myth.

So long as doctors aren't concerned there may also be a more severe brain injury,

like a brain bleed,

there's no documented problem with going to sleep after a concussion.

Sometimes, victims of concussion can experience something

called post-concussion syndrome, or PCS.

People with PCS may experience constant headaches,

learning difficulties,

and behavioral symptoms that even affect their personal relationships

for months or years after the injury.

Trying to play through a concussion, even for only a few minutes,

or returning to sports too soon after a concussion,

makes it more likely to develop PCS.

In some cases, a concussion can be hard to diagnose

because the symptoms unfold slowly over time.

That's often true of subconcussive impacts

which result from lower impact jolts to the head

than those that cause concussions.

This category of injury doesn't cause noticable symptoms right away,

but can lead to severe degenerative brain diseases over time

if it happens repeatedly.

Take soccer players, who are known for repeatedly heading soccer balls.

Using a technique called Diffusion Tensor Imaging,

we're beginning to find out what effect that has on the brain.

This method allows scientists to find large axon bundles

and see how milder blows might alter them structurally.

In 2013, researchers using this technique discovered

that athletes who had headed the ball most,

about 1,800 times a year,

had damaged the structural integrity of their axon bundles.

The damage was similar to how a rope will fail

when the individual fibers start to fray.

Those players also performed worse on short-term memory tests,

so even though no one suffered full-blown concussions,

these subconcussive hits added up to measurable damage over time.

In fact, researchers know that an overload of subconcussive hits

is linked to a degenerative brain disease known as Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy,

or CTE.

People with CTE suffer from changes in their mood and behavior

that begin appearing in their 30s or 40s

followed by problems with thinking and memory

that can, in some cases, even result in dementia.

The culprit is a protein called tau.

Usually, tau proteins support tiny tubes inside our axons called microtubules.

It's thought that repeated subconcussive hits damage the microtubules,

causing the tau proteins to dislodge and clump together.

The clumps disrupt transport and communication along the neuron

and drive the breakdown of connections within the brain.

Once the tau proteins start clumping together,

they cause more clumps to form

and continue to spread throughout the brain,

even after head impacts have stopped.

The data show that at least among football players,

between 50 and 80% of concussions go unreported and untreated.

Sometimes that's because it's hard to tell

a concussion has occurred in the first place.

But it's also often due to pressure or a desire to keep going

despite the fact that something's wrong.

This doesn't just undermine recovery.

It's also dangerous.

Our brains aren't invincible.

They still need us to shield them from harm

and help them undo damage once it's been done.

Why Should You Use Open Source Libraries In Your Project? - Duration: 4:11.

Hi there!

Welcome back to Cleveroad channel.

Today we would like to pay our attention to open source libraries for software development.

What advantages does it have and why can you use?

Let's find out it.

Open source software is literally conquering the world, affecting all aspects of information

technologies.

During the last 5 years, the utilization of the open source software has doubled and became

a global trend.

Today open code can be the basis for some operating systems, applications, libraries,

databases, cloud computing, big data etc.

In the modern world of the information technologies, open source products offer great possibilities

for both the companies and app developers.

We need to understand the meaning of open source software.

Broadly speaking, software falls into two main categories regarding the terms of the

license used: proprietary and open source software.

The fundamental difference between these two categories stems from the availability or

non-availability of the right to change the source code.

The source code of the closed software cannot be copied, viewed or changed.

Being a property of developers, it is kept in secret.

Windows, Mac, Microsoft Office, Skype, iTunes, Google Earth, WinRAR, Adobe products can be

determined as widely used proprietary software.

Licenses of free and open software grant access to the source code to anyone who wants to

read it, improve, and discuss with others.

Such licenses facilitate the development of cooperation and free ideas exchange.

Furthermore, they allow to share the necessary information with other people and unite efforts

for increasing the opportunities.

Linux kernel, GNOME Desktop etc serve as exam ples of open source software.

Open software provides everybody with the following capabilities:

It allows adapting of software product to the needs of a specific user or a user group;

To eliminate the errors of previous developers; To modify and refine the software.

Open code draws intelligent brains in the technical sector.

Whereas closed source software is developed by a small group of specialists, open source

software can be built by thousands of skilled and motivated app and web developers.

In general, OSS is considered to provide a high level of security.

It directly relates to the availability of the source code.

Thus, open source development libraries can be always under the close monitoring.

As errors and vulnerabilities are usually eliminated by the developer community almost

immediately, it determines a good quality of the product.

If you want to know more about mobile security, check ii out in our following video.

Unlike closed libraries, OS library allows you to adapt code more easily to your specific

requirements and needs.

Since source code is open for all persons interested, companies can use all available

functionality of the library for free and add new functions to your software development

projects.

One more reason to use open source software is their flexibility.

This code is not linked to the one specific developer, so it can offer a wide range of

capabilities.

Users can choose only those functions that meet their requirements or to create the new

function just changing the source code since open source software license makes such actions

possible.

OSS stimulates the cooperation development and building of the community of professionals

keen on technologies.

Developers share their experience and learn from each other.

As to companies, they benefit from the increased attention paid to their products and even

can provide list of open source libraries.

They also strive to make these products better, more reliable and modern.

There are weighty benefits of using open source software and libraries in your projects.

Using them you can enrich your new software with many interesting features for free.

It is completely safe for your software.

Moreover, you can always edit and change features of any open source library.

The Secret To Back Pain Is In Your Feet! The 5 Exercises That Fix Everything! - Duration: 6:58.

The Secret to Back Pain is in Your Feet!

The 5 Exercises That Fix Everything!

Back pain is a very common problem that most of the people experience at some point of

their life.

Such pains can be triggered by different body postures, improper sitting, standing and many

others and they can appear on a daily basis.

However, this article provides you an easy and very simple way to release your pain.

It includes exercises that will help you remove pain in the back, knees and hip.

If you practice them more often, you won't experience any problems.

These are the moves that will improve your balance and body posture, and relieve your

pain.

Feet Are Very Important

Feet are one of the most important body parts that control your overall balance, body posture

and some pains.

They enable our movement throughout the day while withstanding some uncomfortable footwear.

A suitable care of them will provide a prime condition of the whole body.

With aging our feet become deteriorated and painful so it is hard to walk.

That's the reason why one in three Americans fall suddenly and the risk of falling increases

in the 80s and the 90s.

While walking, the pressure on each foot controls the balance of the rest of the body.

Also, pain in one foot can put off your balanced walking or standing.

If you exercise on a regular basis, you will strengthen your muscles and keep a proper

blood flow thus preventing any balance problems connected with age.

The balance relates to body posture and it involves a proper alignment of bones and muscles

to keep your upright.

If they are not aligned in the proper manner your body posture can out of balance.

According to a study, women who wear high heels have greater risk of experiencing pain

in the lower back.

This pain can cause problems with the posture and you have to undertake different methods

to relieve the pain.

1.

Toe – Pressing

Before you exercise any part of your body, you need to warm up your toes.

By toe pressing you will improve the flow of blood in your feet and in the same time

you will relax them.

You just have to stand up, bend your knees slightly, grasp the floor with the toes and

stay in that position for three seconds.

Do this exercise for 10 times, 3 times every day in order to keep your toes young and strong.

2.

Toe – Walking

You will strengthen your muscles, ligaments and toes by toe walking as a ballerina for

twenty seconds.

Standing like that will significantly improve your feet.

Do this exercise twice a day, five times with small pause in between.

If you notice your balance is not perfect, hold on walls or surfaces but do not worry

at all because it will significantly better with practice.

3.

Ankle – Circles

This exercise will relieve the knee, hip and ankle pain for a very short period of time.

The pain in these areas is triggered by poor body posture.

When the upper part of the body is not in the same line with the lower one, the weight

bearing is out of balance and there is an irregular pressure on the lower part while

walking.

For this exercise, lie down on your back and bend your legs upwards.

Stretch one of your legs above your body.

Then, rotate your ankle clockwise for 10 seconds and then move it in the opposite direction

for another 10 seconds.

Do the same exercise with the other ankle.

For optimal results, practice this exercise twice a day.

4.

Resistance – Band

Those small muscles in your feet are essential for the balance of your body.

This exercise will help you walk without pain.

For this, you will need one exercise band.

First, sit on the floor and straighten out your legs in front of you.

Then, wrap one side of the exercise band around a chair or a bedpost and the other side on

the top of your feet.

While you are in a sitting position, slide back until you feel some tension in the band.

Flex your food backwards and hold it for 5 repetitions, release and then repeat the exercise

for 10 repetitions.

5.

Toe-Pencil-Grasp

This is a very simple exercise where you have to take a pen or a pencil with your toes and

hold it for ten seconds.

By doing this exercise, you will improves your toes and it can be easily performed almost

everywhere.

Practice this exercise 2-3 times a week, 5 times with each foot.

6.

Foot Massage

Move a tennis ball slowly around your right foot, starting by placing the ball under the

second toe.

Move for around 1-3 minutes, and then do the same foot massage with the other foot.

7.

Stretching the Heel Tendons with the help of Your Knee

Turn towards a wall in a

standing position.

Place the right leg in front of you and bend the right knee a little bit.

Start moving your hips towards the wall while you keep both of your heels steady on the

ground.
