This tutorial will show you how to create a bootable installation USB key of Windows 10 or Windows 7 legally and for free. This USB key will allow you to install the most recent version of Windows in 32 Bits and 64 Bits, in any language and in any edition (home, professional...)
You need : - An internet connection - An empty 8 Gb USB key - Some free, portable, simple softwares available to download in the video description
The first thing you need to do is to download "Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool" that will allow you to get the lastest version of Windows. You can download this software in the video description. For example, I will download Windows 10 in its 32 Bits and 64 Bits version with the aim of creating a complete and versatile installation USB key
Launch "Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool"
Answer "No" to the initial question
Select the version you want
Select the edition you need
Select the language you want
Select both 32 Bits and 64 Bits
The second thing to do is to merge these two Windows versions (32 Bits and 64 Bits) into a single file. In order to do this, you need "WinAIO Maker Professional" available to download in the video description
Launch "WinAIO Maker Professional"
Click on "AutoAIO"
Select an empty destination folder into which the file will be created
Select your 32 Bits file
Select your 64 Bits file
Click on "Start compilation"
Once the compilation is done, click on "ISO2Folder"
Select your newly compiled file
Select an empty destination folder
Click on "Extract"
Once the extraction is done, go into the directory named "/sources" of your newly created folder. If you find a file named "ei.cfg", delete it. Deleting this file will allow you to install Windows in any edition you want (home, professional...)
In my case, there is no "ei.cfg"
Still in the directory named "/sources", locate the file "install.wim". If it is larger than 4 Gb, you will not be able to transfer it on your USB key throughout the next steps. To fragment "install.wim" into some parts, you need "WIMReducer" available to download in the video description
Launch "WIMReducer" in administrator mode
Enter the complete access path of your Windows folder previously created and press "Enter"
Wait some minutes for the fragmentation to be done
Here is the result of the "install.wim" fragmentation
The last step is to prepare your USB key and transfer the content of the Windows installation folder in it.
Connect your USB key
Launch the command prompt "cmd.exe" in administrator mode
Type "diskpart" and press "Enter"
Type "list disk" and press "Enter"
Type "select disk X" where "X" is the number of your USB key and press "Enter". Make no mistake about this number !
Type "clean" and press "Enter"
Type "create partition primary" and press "Enter"
Type "format fs=fat32 quick" and press "Enter"
Type "active" and press "Enter"
Type "assign" and press "Enter"
Type "exit" and press "Enter"
To finish, transfer the whole content of your Windows installation folder to your USB key
You are done ! Now you can boot from this USB key and install Windows on any computer
