Waching daily Jan 29 2018

The Ball Game.

You know, it's not just the words themselves that make this sound suggestive, it's more

like the way it's said.

You know like, if you just say "hey did you see the ball game last night,"

nobody bats an eye.

But if you say "do you want to play The BALL Game?" it's like, "ooh, maybe,

who's asking?"

And I'm not just trying to be lewd, the back of the box straight up says The Ball

Game provides "ball busting action."

Mmkay.

That reminds me of the board game from 1975, Ball Buster...

Commercial narrator: "Make offensive and defensive moves!"

"Then try to bust your opponents' balls."

"BALL Buster."

They knew what they were doing there, and they knew it here too.

I mean there's a flaming naked guy on the front of the box.

Literally, he's naked and on fire.

There's also a frozen naked guy with some icy butt action going on.

What the heck am I getting into?

Well, it's a 1991 MS-DOS PC game from the UK-based Electronic Zoo,

and I have Joshua to thank for donating it.

Josh sent a bunch of neat computer games my way a while back, and while there were several

that I found intriguing, for whatever reason The Ball Game stood out.

Couldn't tell you why, it's a real mystery.

The Game of Balls comes in one of these small boxes that was popular for Amiga and Atari ST

games in the UK and Europe for a while, which makes sense as this was

made for those systems first.

But as mentioned earlier, this is the DOS version for IBM PC-compatibles, distributed

on a double density 5.25" floppy disk.

And the documentation is pretty standard fare for these kinds of releases; just a thin,

multilanguage black and white booklet that provides the basics of gameplay and a strategic

waft of early 90s cigarette smoke.

The Ball Game begins with a bunch of blue balls, har har

and a pretty radical Adlib intro tune.

Hehe, and ya gotta love these credits.

Who did the graphics?

Steve.

Who did the music?

Oh that was Mike.

Who did the PC version?

Oh that was Tim and Jules, you know them!

After that charmingly amiable introduction, you're dropped into a rather dark and stark

menu with an assortment of function key options.

And without actually playing the game first it's not very useful to mess with anything

here yet, so just press F9 to start playing.

*PC speaker beep and bloop sounds play*

And yep, this is The Ball Game, folks.

Not quite sure what I was expecting, but this wasn't it.

Not only has that ball bouncing FM synth music been replaced by silence and PC speaker noises,

but there's precious little ball-busting action happening.

I am sad to report there are precisely

zero balls busted throughout the entirety of this game.

In fact, despite the suggestive name and marketing,

The Ball Game is about as tame a game as you can ask for.

So much so that I am now questioning whether or not it's

even worth a video at this point, hrm.

Lemme go clear my head, I'll be right back...

Ahem, right, where were we.

Yes, the distinct lack of ball-busting action.

Or really, the lacktion--*laughs*

"the lacktion?"

The lack of action!

Ah I like that better, yeah. It's really the LACKTION of any kind.

The Ball Game is not an action game, but rather a virtual board game of strategy and tactics.

And a rather simple one at that, as there are only two ways to interact with it.

Regardless of how you choose to control things, be it the mouse or the keyboard or a joystick,

The Ball Game gives you one button for choosing your move and one button for making your move.

When it's your turn, press the movement key to rotate through a selection of possible

moves highlighted on the board, and then press the select key to make it happen.

That's it.

The entire rest of The Ball Game depends on what

order you make those two decisions for each turn.

As you might've guessed just by looking at the footage, the goal of The Ball Game

is to have the most number of your color of balls on the board.

You can only move in the four cardinal directions on an isometric plane, there's no diagonal

movement, and you can only move one or two spaces at a time normally.

Moving one space will blorp a ball behind where you just moved from, and moving two

spaces will activate a jetpack and then set you down with no balls being placed.

But if you land in a space next to an opponent's balls, then each of those balls will be converted

to your balls, even those diagonal to you.

And if you can't make a move or a jump, you can press the select key to teleport to

a random free spot on the board.

Once you run out of moves, your game is over, and whoever has the most balls with the most

points at the end wins the round.

And that's the gist of it!

The Ball Game is one of those grid-based Reversi-inspired thingies where you always have to think a

couple steps ahead or you'll screw yourself over quickly.

It reminds me an awful lot of the game Spot from a year before.

No, not "Cool Spot," just "Spot."

To be more specific, games like Spot and The Ball Game share

the same core DNA as the arcade game Ataxx.

That is, they're all video board games with players starting off in a corner, with the

goal being to strategically touch pieces with your own and convert its color.

But The Ball Game is still its own thing in the sense that it's got balls.

Blue balls, red balls, dark blue and red balls, just lots of balls.

But none of them are busting and I feel deceived.

For that matter, where are the naked dudes on fire and stuff?

These guys are cool, but I signed up for frozen man butts and dang it, I deserve them.

Instead you get these little Smash TV contestants, who are apparently supposed to represent the

four elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and the other one.

Hrm. Yeah I'm not seeing it.

Unless the elements are all identical balls now, and in that case Captain Planet just

got a lot more bizarre.

So yeah, this was a bit of a bummer.

The Ball Game isn't the worst thing I've played, or even the worst virtual board game,

but I also don't think it was worth my time.

And it sure isn't my idea of fun these days.

Especially not versus the computer,

they move instantly so playing for time bonuses makes no sense,

and it uses cheap AI that rarely makes an exploitably crappy move.

See, the key to enjoying these kinds of games is

to play against someone objectively worse than you.

Or maybe that's just how I play Othello.

But in this case, all you can do is enter your name into a high score table no one will see

because no one wants to play this game.

The Ball Game!

It's pretty much just balls.

Well I believe I've said the word "balls" enough for the entire year.

of space so if you have a hard drive as small as your and play World of Tanks

just half as much as quickie baby you might want to clear out your old replays

from time to time so you just played the game as shown with the type 4 heavy and

one shot at a t30 and the commander's hatch that is definitely a good replay

we would like to have from you the sad truth is that the majority of replays we

get sent in are utter garbage most replays are just good games if you have

a good game and want to be featured on YouTube it's better to send that replay

to youtubers that focus on such content such as quickie baby and jingles linked

to their channels will be provided below as well so what replays do we want then

we want replays that can be used in a comical way we try and make videos that

will make people laugh or at least smile a little bit we will not give you

straight examples of replays we are looking for but just look through our

another day in World of Tanks playlist and then look at your replay and ask

yourself does my replayed qualify for this if you are not sure then just send

it in the worst thing that could happen is that we don't feature the replay we

won't be mad if you send us a bad one so how do you send us a replay then to

maximize your chance of having your replay featured in one of our episodes

first upload your replay to the what replays website here you choose your

replay the title should shortly describe the

replay for example t30 one-shotted in the description you write more details

about the replay tell us what makes the replay special and where in the replay

it all happens simply write the timestamp that you can see in the replay

in the top right corner if there are multiple highlights in the replay leave

the timestamps of those here as well the better you describe your play the higher

is the chance we will find it and use it once the replay is uploaded copy the

link to it and send this to us by email the address is contact or some epic guys

at gmail.com I know that's a mouthful so do yourself a favor and just copy the

address from the description of this video or any other video we have made

for that matter if you send the replay to the wrong address we will never even

see it in our inbox do not send the replay to any other address some people

Beloved Friends and Family, you are approaching the time of the Sacred Year when you encounter

the Aquarius Star Gate, and this year this is experienced in conjunction with the Total

Lunar Eclipse in Leo on the 31st of January.

Yet another powerful quantum energy on the Leo/Aquarius axis.

What exactly is the Aquarius Gate, you might ask?

Well, I am sure that you are all familiar with the Lion's Gate (8/8) which falls in

early August in the sign of Leo.

The Aquarius Gate is that moment in early February (2/2) when the circular flow of the

Time Spiral brings you to a point exactly opposite the Lion's Gate on the great stellar

3 Questions to Focus your 2018 - Duration: 11:59.

- Hi, everybody.

Elise Enriquez, purpose and productivity coach here.

I am here to talk with you about finding your word,

your theme, or your focus for 2018.

A lotta people talk about their word for 2018.

Some people talk about theme.

Whatever you wanna use, use it.

Focus is a word I like to use, as well.

How are you going to, what word or something phrase

can you anchor yourself for your focus for 2018,

I think, is another great way to look at it.

So, lemme give you just a very brief history

of my experience of finding words and themes for the year.

I'd never done it before until 2016.

I distinctly remember where I was at when I found my word,

and it was actually words, for 2016.

I was newly separated from my husband at the time,

and seemed like divorce was happening,

and I had to figure out what my year was gonna look like.

And so, I was at a church,

doing something called a white-stone ceremony,

where they guide you through a meditation,

or a visualization, to look at your year, to say,

fast-forward to December of this year, and look back,

and what is it that you would've wanted to create.

I'd done that kind of work before

but I'd never done it with the intention

of creating a specific focus word or phrase.

And so I knew there were big changes coming my way,

and there were going to be some big steps

I was going to have to take,

both emotionally and practically speaking.

My words that I came up with for 2016 were bold and brave.

What was really cool about doing the ceremony

is they handed out a stone to everyone so you could

write your word on your stone, and take it with you.

And it was a bold and brave year.

Those words guided me all year long,

and I shared my journey with everyone as I went,

in hopes of inspiring people along the way.

2017, my word for that year, this was actually more

of a phrase, it was every day matters.

This is actually just the back of the other stone.

Every day matters.

And that became my theme, or my focus, for 2017,

because I'd already made it through 2016,

and it was a big year of bold and brave moves.

And I knew that for 2017 I wanted to just hold still

for a minute, let things stabilize for the year.

I wasn't gonna buy a new house or anything.

I'd moved into my girlfriend's homes, right here.

Now we have a home office here.

But I moved in, and thought: "You know,

"I don't wanna move again for awhile.

"I'm not ready to buy a house yet.

"Let's just see where this year takes us."

And so, that was a reflection of 2016,

of wanting 2017 to be a little bit more calm.

The other thing I'd learned by making it through 2016

was that it is the everyday things

in life that matter to me.

It is the everyday activities that we do

that move us forward.

It's not the big swings that we take at the bat.

It's not always the big trips.

I went on some great trips in 2017 that they were fun,

but it was the everyday moments of making dinner

with my girlfriend, or going to a movie with my friends,

or going and reading stories

to my niece and nephew at night.

Those were the things that filled me.

And so, everyday matters was

a really important reminder in 2017.

So, here's what I learned from living that year.

I did some work with a marketing expert

on some stuff for my business,

and they were brilliant people

that were doing brilliant work for me,

but what it required of me I didn't have

a solid foundation for.

I had all of these loose ends.

The other thing I noticed is that in 2017

I had launched a new program called Get Your Shit Together,

and it deals with the ground-level activities

of day-to-day life.

But I also work with people on purpose,

and I also work with them on goals,

and I also work with them on communication.

And so what it started to feel like

was that I had different strands of expertise,

or practice, or work, that I was doing.

And then, when it came to my personal life,

what I wanted more of was bringing people together,

was having people over for dinner.

Our house isn't that suitable for having people

over for dinner because we have a tiny little dining area,

and I like to have lots of people over, right?

Another thing that showed up in my business was that

one of my favorite things that I was doing was workshops.

I really loved bringing people together to learn and grow.

So, in going through a practice of reflecting on my year,

at the end of last year, I went through a specific process

with the guidance one of my coaches, Debbie Page,

and in doing that reflection process I started

to think about what is it that I wanted to bring forward

into the new year, what is it that I didn't want more of,

therefore, what did I want more of,

what went well, what was missing.

Doing all those kinds of things

and starting to ask all those questions

led me to realize that gathering is my word for 2018.

I want to gather people,

whether it's personally for more dinners in a larger home,

eventually, or a larger dining space, eventually,

or whether it's gathering people to learn

and grow through workshops.

I've always done purpose-discovery workshops

with intact teams; I'd never done it as a public offering.

And so, this year will be my first year

to offer a public purpose-discovery workshop.

So, I need to gather the loose ends

in all the different ways that I work

with people into a nice cohesive model,

which I've already developed, I just haven't shared it yet,

but into a cohesive model so people understand

all the ways in which they can work with me

and I can impact them.

So all of that led to this idea of gathering,

and that feels really good to me,

and that's the important thing,

is that the word, or phrase, or theme that you pick

just feels really good to you.

Let me give you some tips on how you can uncover

your word, or theme, or focus for 2018,

if you haven't done it already; and if you have,

I hope you will comment, and share what your theme is.

So, that reflection piece is really important.

Looking back at your previous years, looking back at 2017,

and asking yourself a few questions will be really helpful.

Here's why.

Figuring out a focus or figuring out a theme,

when you think about it, the idea of a theme

or focusing something, it requires starting out

with something to find what the theme is

or something to actually focus.

And so, unless you have data you can't have patterns,

which means you can't have themes.

So we have to get some data out of your head about

the previous year and about what you wanna create this year

so we can start to see some words or phrases

that will surface that will point to your theme.

In order to get that data you need to answer some questions.

And so, this means you have to do a little bit

of work in order to find your theme.

I'll tell you what, finding your theme,

it keeps you on track.

When I was going through the hardest year of my life in 2016

it is what kept me going.

I would just come back to being bold and brave.

And when it came to 2017,

and I felt like I was getting off track,

and things weren't going well, or business slowed down,

I had to remember those everyday activities

that kept me going.

Every day matters was that theme.

I had to just keep anchoring back into that.

So, this year, gathering will be

the thing that will anchor me.

So, you have to do some work to uncover this.

So answering some questions will be really important.

So, gonna look at some notes here.

What went well in 2017?

What went well?

What thrived that you didn't expect to thrive,

in your life, in your business, wherever it might be?

And for those things that went well,

not everything that goes well is something you want

to keep doing, so for those things that went well,

what do you wanna carry forward?

Once you know what those things are,

then you need to ask yourself

what do you need to do to make that happen.

What do you need to do to carry that forward

and perhaps grow it in 2018?

Another good question is:

how would it make you feel to grow that thing,

to bring that thing forward and grow it in 2018?

How would that make you feel?

So, another question to ask yourself is:

what did you love about 2017.

These are two different things.

What went well is different than what did you love.

There's some things that went well for me that I'm like:

"I don't really wanna do that again, though."

So, what did you love about 2017?

So for me, I was talking about workshops earlier.

I loved doing the purpose-discovery workshops

with the teams that I worked with.

I want to do more of that.

It went well.

It's not like it didn't go well

and it wouldn't go in that first category,

but it wasn't like the top income-producer for my business,

so it wouldn't have been top of mind for what went well.

But what was something I loved?

I loved doing those workshops.

I loved that I could get people

to really good results in those workshops.

That was really fun for me.

So, how am I gonna carry that forward?

Well, one thing I can do is tell people that,

which I just did.

There's lots of things I can do to carry that forward.

How would it make me feel to make that happen?

I would be thrilled and energized and proud

to have those things come forward, to have that idea

of bringing more purpose-discovery workshops to the world.

It's helpful to start to ask yourself

some of those questions.

Another good question to ask,

this is the third big question;

the first one was: what went well, what did you love,

and the third one is: what was missing?

What was missing from 2017?

What did you get a little of and wanted more of?

What did you get none of and you want more of?

Whether it's love in your personal life,

something like that, love or romance or anything like that;

or whether, when it comes to your business,

it's referrals or something like that.

Something was missing.

Or collaboration, or partnership.

Asking yourself what was missing from 2017,

and then drilling down to say:

"What would I need to do to make that happen in 2018,

"and how would it feel for that to happen?"

So, you don't have to remember all those questions yourself.

If you want to, I'm working on a little worksheet for you

to help you figure out your focus for 2018.

I just have to make a couple finishing touches on it,

and then it can be yours.

So if you are interested in receiving that,

this little handout, to help you figure out how

to focus your 2018 and find your word or theme,

hey guys today is day 18 of my juice fast and I'm still on my fast I'm doing

great I have full energy I did my two hour workout today and I'm

starting to because I'm at the 30 pound mark altogether like I said before

people who've been following me starting my journey from December 9th and then

transitioning over to a juice fast January 11th all the way to the 29th of

today which makes 18 days of doing the juice fast as a whole um and I think

majority of my weight not thing I know majority of my weight has been lost from

the juicing and it's gonna be a better week and a better way in this Sunday but

before I begin talking I want to say to you guys please subscribe to the channel

is day 18 I'm doing great I'm losing on starting for the new week averaging

let's keep our fingers crossed it looks like I'm probably gonna be

losing averaging between half a pound or a little over a half a pound to a pound

a day I did some adjustments that's my said that when you start to know your

body and how it works especially on a juice fast when you

start to get on the scale each day to document how that juice is affecting you

and your weight loss you kind of switch things around so that you can lose the

proper weight fast in healthy healthy you know healthy in a healthy way sorry

didn't know how to get it out so one thing I had incorporated was I had

bought some nut bags so I double strain my juice because I was finding that the

juice was it didn't have pulp in it when it was thick but and it didn't I didn't

taste pull its soluble fiber that's inside of the juice so I really didn't

taste the soluble fiber but it was a lot still in there so what I do now is I

juice then I sift with the metal mesh strainer and then I have a nut bag and I

sift it again so the texture and the quality of my

juice now is like the store-bought cold-pressed juices that people are get

for a week or two because they don't want a juice and the consistency of it

is just like drinking water but it has all the nutrients in it it keeps you

from being hungry and it's not you know that's a whole lot of soluble fiber

still left on the glass after you finish drinking the juice because I have taken

out as much fiber as possible by the double sifting of the juice with the nut

bag I don't really have to double sis I could just use the nut bag but I prefer

to do that um so I'm so glad I got the nut bags everything is just going

wonderful I do a salt water flush every morning I don't care what anyone says

I like to do that from the Master Cleanse that's the best thing even

though I didn't do it for ten days I did it for five that I learned from the

Master Cleanse is that wonderful all-natural way to cleanse the body out

and force all the fecal matter from the mouth all the way down because our

intestines are like 80 feet long you're actually cleansing the whole colon

intestines your whole insides are being flushed out each day when you do a salt

water flush I think it's key to do one every day every morning after weigh-in

to flush yourself out because as we all know the soluble fiber

does still getting your digestive system it is easily digest it's not like the

bulk fiber from a movie but it still needs to be removed because after a

couple of days or even one day when you get on the scale the next day you could

weigh I mean you could weigh less actually then what it says on the scale

but if you're not cleansing out your colon because honestly if you're eating

three meals a day you should be having three bowel movements and if you was

doing that from the gate when you got on the scale for the most part everything

will be regulated even the water that's in your body ladies and when you got on

the scale every day it would read an accurate measurement of weight loss so

this is what I do every day I have a hack that I'm going to do I'm going to

share with you on day 19 of something that I figured out it works I've been

practicing the results for quite some time and seeing what works and what

doesn't and what is consistent and I would like you guys to try this hack I

think you'll be amazed you know but I don't want to give away too much but

anyways this day 18 and I'm still on the arm juice

fast I cannot believe that I'm almost twenty days in I can see how people go

thirty days and 60 days in 90 days and some people do 100 those people that you

know do the 60 well when they do the 30 days or the 21 days to you you're really

trying to lose the weight but when you see people go further I can see how they

can get away with doing it it's not even about willpower a point at this point

because your body's not hungry your minds not saying you have to eat I had

two juices today 12 ounce juices today and if I drink another juice today I

drink one if I don't I don't my body is not craving for juice it's not craving

for any foods do I ever want to have to do a juice fast where I have to be on

that fast until I lose the 80 something pounds that I gain no but I'd rather get

it all out the way and be done with it so this time around said is doing it in

stages and going back to food and getting my system all toxic again in my

mind foggy and then struggle with trying to lose weight and not losing it the way

I want to or fast enough I'd rather just do the juice fast until this is all off

of me all this weight every day I wake up I feel a lighter and lighter it's

almost like I look in the mirror and I have to look because my legs are not

rubbing anymore and my legs never rub it's just that my thighs were getting so

big there was nowhere for the fat to go but I'm touching each other so that's

why the two legs were touching I'm used to look at other people and say how do

they walk around with their legs rubbing and now my little arch is coming back

people call it a gap and it's and I love it it's sexy my shape is coming back

alive so I'm just letting you don't tell yourself you can't do what I

just did I'm somebody who loves food I'm preparing foods now today I did four

jars of pickled vegetables that I prepared freshly use my vinegar

seasonings and I put garlic and tomatoes and cucumbers I even put some boiled

eggs in it and I'm making those pickled vegetables prepare myself so when I do

eat my salads because I'm gonna start off with salads and then work my way

with salads and then proteins which will be like fish seafood to start with

before the heavy foods but I'm gonna start with salads and I'm preparing my

pickling vegetables for my salads so yes I miss food but not gonna die and I'm

not gonna um make the food make me stop the juicing because I know

that it's working and if it's working for me and it's also helping my anxiety

why stop it if it's not broke don't fix it

so what all that being said guys day 18 and I'll see you on day 19

Hi everyone hello Facebook it's time for this week's Facebook teach my internet

seems to be having difficulty so if I lose you here or in one of these pages

go to my other page because I have two pages so as I promised literally just

told Chad I'm really trying to take some of today off and as promised I said I go

I have to do my facebook teach I promised I would be doing a weekly

Facebook teach on Facebook hi Aubin hi hi so um so I am so as you all

know I am building hi Kelly hi Teri hi Allison I am building my YouTube channel

so Therapy Thursday Take Care Thursday's are all over on YouTube but I also love

my Facebook audience and all my friends and family are here and I love teaching

live so I am doing a weekly Facebook teach on both of my pages at the same

time so that's why I'm a big I'm a stickler about actually looking at the

camera whole when I do teaches and pictures so that's why I'm alternating

because I'm on both patient pages of mine hi Nora so I I'm starting to keep a

list of topics that I want to do life teaches on and I've already got a couple

things but this was not on my list until I just had my workshop my Rising Ever

Upward workshop the last two days so I also encourage you to comment below if

there is something that you want to hear me teach on and I'd be happy to add it

to the list and let you know when I'm going to be teaching on it so make sure

many times I hear this especially as a therapist I hear this all the time I we

hear this all the time how much do you not reach out for help or ask for what

you want in need from your loved ones because you don't want to be a

bother to them or you don't want to be a burden

Thank You Lila Lila do you even you might even know what I 'm even gonna

say already because you follow a lot of my work so here's the deal like I

actually had someone say that to me in the workshop yesterday and I will tell

you what I tell all of my clients and all of my loved ones or my Plexus team

okay so well I didn't want to bother you I didn't want I didn't want to be a burden

I didn't want to bother you you're so busy I didn't want to bother you guess

what my boundary to set when you don't ask for what you want and need from your

loved ones or ask for help or seek support from someone who loves you

because you don't want to be a burden you're setting a boundary that is theirs

to set for them not your job it's their job to set boundaries

this summer I did was it this summer I did a Boundaries video for Therapy

Thursday and like the feedback was just unreal on it and so I ended up turning

it into the six six week series on Therapy Thursday so you can go to my

YouTube channel for that I'll link like video one on it in the comments of this

below later after I get this up but that's not your boundary to set if I

have someone ask me for help whether or not it's one of my friends or one of my

teammates on my Plexus team or one of my clients and I'm not available or I can't

or I don't want to that is my boundary to set it is my job to say I'm not

available right now I actually I can't help you right now

oftentimes with my clients I'm historical for before they I have taught

my clients like before you reach out to me for help and it's an emergency I want

to know three things that you have done for yourself to make it better like

yours their self-care and things like that

and so when you reach out for support and you ask somebody for help or you

don't do it because you don't want to be a burden

that's your problem not your loved ones the other side to that is that if you

are saying if you're saying I just my internets slow on my personal page sorry

if you're saying yes when you really mean no when someone's asking for your

help hmm that's your problem not the person

asking you for help so poor connection oh crap poor connection on my personal

page well technology loves to challenge me when I got good shit to share so the

other side of that is that if I am saying yes when I really mean no that's

on me that's my boundary to set so Brene says

in her teachings to say the mantra choose discomfort over resentment choose

discomfort over resentment choose discomfort over resentment in other

words I'm gonna say that to myself three times and then I'm gonna say no when I

really mean no and when I need to say no because I have nothing left to give or I

can't do that or I'm unavailable I'm gonna choose to be uncomfortable and

saying no rather than saying yes when I really mean no and then being resentful

towards that person because when we're not setting boundaries with our loved

ones and we're not when we're not saying no when we really mean no it only ruins

the relationship so there's two sides to this conversation I don't want to be a

burden or bother them for a lot of us we want to help our loved ones but we

cannot read your mind so you must ask for what you want and

need from your loved ones you cannot read their mind that you're gonna be a

burden to them and that they can't or don't want to help you because if they

say yes but they really meant no again that's their boundary to set and that is

on them I feel like I'm kind of talking in circles plus I'm really distracted by

two puppies now who are not settling down on their warm towels so that is

not conducive to Therapy Thursday but husband Chad accountant Chad is picking

up poop so I'm gonna take that as more helpful than dealing with the dogs

during the live Facebook teach because I don't want to pick up poop so hopefully I

want to hear does that make what questions does that make sense so

like if you if you have that urge of like but I don't want to bother anybody so

I'm just gonna do it myself I don't I'm not gonna ask for help so we're just

gonna keep giving and giving and giving and doing and doing and doing and saying

yes to all of these things I don't have time for in my life either

and then I'm giving from an empty vat and I am getting resentful with myself

and I'm willing to bet that you're even building resentment towards those people

that you're not asking for help from how screwed up does that like how screwed up

is that that we tell ourselves a lie that we're bothering people or being a

burden which means we're attempting to set a boundary for them that is not ours

to set why is my internet not working that's so annoying I will share this on

my personal page sorry guys so so not only are we telling ourselves a lie that

we're being a burden or bothering somebody and we're trying to set a

boundary for someone else that is not ours to set but then when we're not

asking for support from our loved ones and we're doing it all our all ourselves

and we're super frustrated with that then we probably build resentment

towards them anyways because they're not just helping us well they should want to

help us out they should know how much I'm doing for them that's that's BS like

our loved ones are not mind readers we must ask for what we want and need so

hopefully that makes sense Marian said some I asked for what I

needed and got some really negative response but then I asked another loved

one that I thought wouldn't receive and they were completely open and said yes

that's so true Gracie stop motherhood um that makes sense so here I guess that is that

is the other thing when you do ask for help or seek support from your loved

ones and they say no here's the other part that no is not about you

that's about them it's about them it's not personal to you The Four Agreements

take nothing personally sometimes people just can't

do it or they don't want to and again that's their boundary to set and trust

me you want them to say no when they really mean no and to not be saying yes

when they need and want to say no because that builds resentment and that

eats relationships from the inside out so that's what I got today my personal

page went dead because apparently my Internet's down and the puppies are not

cooperating so this is this week's Facebook teach pretty imperfect still

gonna go up on the YouTube channel it's still great content and I knew when I

heard this topic several times within my week that means more and more people are

struggling with it than what I am hearing and so like when you have that

thought I don't want to impose like Terry you just said I don't want to

impose on someone's time I don't want to be a burden I don't want to bother

someone you were not meant to do this life by yourself we are wired for

connection you weren't meant to do this alone and I can promise you this life is

so much tougher if you insist on doing it by yourself and if you insist on

doing it by yourself all that's gonna happen is that you're gonna be angry and

frustrated and empty and actually not have real great relationships because

you're super resentful to other people who aren't helping you because they're

not reading your mind and you're not asking for help so ask for help when you

need it seek support ask for what you want and need set your boundaries and

remember it's not your job to set other people's boundaries that's theirs so

again I am I'm gonna do a Facebook live teach sometime on Fridays Saturdays and

Sundays at this point I just don't have a live set up to give you a set schedule

so I will always try to give you a warning um by hey going live at this time

for the teach but you can also always head on over to my YouTube channel and I

Causes and Natural Cures of Puffy or Swollen Legs or Feet ?

Have you noticed lately that your socks are tight and your pants feel snug?

Your legs swell for two main reasons: Why it happens: Fluid retention occurs when

the heart doesn't pump strongly enough and blood doesn't carry waste products away from

tissues.

Edema usually starts in the feet, ankles, fingers, hands, and legs because they're furthest

from the heart, where circulation is poorer.

Foot, leg, and ankle swelling is common when the person also:

Is overweight Has a blood clot in the leg

Is older Has a leg infection

Has veins in the legs that cannot properly pump blood back to the heart

Injury or surgery involving the leg, ankle, or foot can also cause swelling.

Swelling may also occur after pelvic surgery, especially for cancer.

Fluid buildup (edema): It happens when the tissues or blood vessels in your legs hold

more fluid than they should.

This can happen if you simply spend a long day on your feet, or sit for too long.

But it may also be a sign that you're overweight or don't get enough exercise, or of more

serious medical conditions.

Inflammation: It happens when the tissues in your leg get irritated and swollen.

It's a natural response if you break a bone or tear a tendon or ligament, but it also

may be a sign of more serious inflammatory illness, like arthritis.

Long airplane flights or car rides, as well as standing for long periods of time, often

lead to some swelling in the feet and ankles.

Swelling may occur in women who take estrogen, or during parts of the menstrual cycle.

Most women have some swelling during pregnancy.

More severe swelling during pregnancy may be a sign of preeclampsia, a serious condition

that includes high blood pressure and swelling.

Swollen legs may be a sign of heart failure, kidney failure, or liver failure.

In these conditions, there is too much fluid in the body.

Certain medicines may also cause your legs to swell.

Some of these are: Antidepressants, including MAO inhibitors

and tricyclics Blood pressure medicines called calcium channel

blockers Hormones, such as estrogen (in birth control

pills or hormone replacement therapy) and testosterone

Steroids

Deep Vein Thrombosisand Thrombophlebitis ! If you have Deep Vein Thrombosis, it means

there's a blood clot in a vein in your leg.

It could break off and travel to your lung.

When that happens, it's called a pulmonary embolism, and it can be life-threatening.

In thrombophlebitis, also called superficial thrombophlebitis, clots form closer to the

surface of the skin and aren't likely to break off.

One of the first symptoms of Deep Vein Thrombosis or thrombophlebitis is a swollen leg, as blood

pools in the area.

Check with your doctor right away if you have swelling in one leg or any of these other

symptoms: Puffy or Swollen Legs or Feet !

If you notice that your feet swell enough to make your shoes tight; your ankles, wrists,

or fingers are noticeably puffy; or there are deep pressure marks or indents when you

take off socks or hose, you may have a problem with fluid retention.

Also called edema, fluid retention can be a sign of coronary artery disease heart failure,

and other forms of cardiovascular disease.

Leg swelling generally occurs because of an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the tissues

of the lower extremity.

The medical term for leg swelling from excessive fluid in the tissues is peripheral edema.

Persisting indentation of a swollen leg after pressure from a finger is known as pitting

edema.

ommon causes of leg swelling include salt retention, cellulitis, congestive heart failure,

venous insufficiency, pregnancy, and medication side effects.

Less common causes of leg swelling include blood clots in the leg (deep vein thrombosis),

parasite infection, lymphedema, liver disease and cirrhosis, kidney disease and nephrotic

syndrome, broken ankle, broken leg, and diseases that cause thickness of the layers of skin,

such as scleroderma and eosinophilic fasciitis.

In these diseases, the leg swelling is typically characterized by nonpitting edema.

When leg swelling occurs for unknown reasons, it is referred to as idiopathic edema.

Scary stat: More than 80 million people have one or more forms of cardiovascular disease,

and approximately 900,000 people die from it each year.

What to do: Report problems with edema to your doctor, who can run tests that may indicate

CAD and can determine if your heart function is normal.

Home Care ! Some tips that may help reduce swelling:

Put your legs on pillows to raise them above your heart while lying down.

Exercise your legs.

This helps pump fluid from your legs back to your heart.

Follow a low-salt diet, which may reduce fluid buildup and swelling.

Wear support stockings (sold at most drugstores and medical supply stores).

When traveling, take breaks often to stand up and move around.

Avoid wearing tight clothing or garters around your thighs.

Lose weight if you need to.

Never stop taking any medicines you think may be causing swelling without first talking

to your health care provider.

Leg swelling related to fluid buildup ! Leg swelling caused by the retention of fluid

in leg tissues is known as peripheral edema.

It can be caused by a problem with the circulatory system, the lymphatic system or the kidneys.

Leg swelling isn't always a sign of a heart or circulation problem.

You may often experience swelling due to fluid buildup from being overweight, being inactive,

after sitting or standing for a long time, or wearing tight stockings.

Alex Reimer is a Boston-area sports journalist, known as an on-air personality on WEEI, a sports radio station based in Massachusetts.

Reimer is making headlines this week after he made a distasteful comment about Tom Brady's daughter while on the radio.

Reimer was discussing the first episode of Brady's docuseries, Tom Vs.

Time, on Thursday, January 25, when he called the child an "annoying little pissant.".

Reimer, 25, was suspended from WEEI on Friday, January 26.

He has not released a statement or an apology of any kind.

On Thursday, January 25, Reimer, made a comment about Brady's daughter, Vivian (her mom is Brady's wife, Gisele Bundchen), calling her an "annoying little pissant.

"It was fine. It was okay.

I thought the first scene was so staged, where Brady's like, in the kitchen.

His kid's being an annoying little pissant," Reimer said.

WEEI has deleted the clip from their site, but it has popped up elsewhere on the internet.

Brady confronted the comment while chatting with "Kirk & Callahan" on Monday, January 29.

Brady has made weekly appearances on the show for quite some time, but he told Kirk & Callahan that he is reconsidering a return following Reimer's comment (Reimer has been a part of "Kirk & Callahan" regularly).

"I've tried to come on this show for many years and showed you guys a lot of respect … I've always tried to come on and do a good job for you guys.

It's very disappointing when you hear that, certainly.

My daughter, or any child, they certainly don't deserve that," Brady said.

"Obviously I'll evaluate whether I want to come on this show again, so I really don't have much to say this morning.

Maybe I'll speak with you guys another day," he added.

WEEI has confirmed that Reimer was "suspended indefinitely" as of Friday, January 26.

He Is Being Slammed on Social Media & People Want Him to Get Fired.

It's no surprise that Patriots fans are taking shots at Reimer after his comment about Brady's daughter.

Although he has not released an apology to Brady or Brady's family, he has responded to a comment about him potentially getting fired.

"I will stand strong," Reimer said, kicking social media's uproar into high gear.

"I cannot believe you thought you could bully the daughter of a professional athlete who plays in your state…and that professional athlete also happens to be the most popular man in New England, Tom Brady, who does interviews with your workplace.

You must not like working," wrote one Twitter user.

"Lmao, doesn't sound like you will be standing anywhere near radio after Brady just yanked your livelihood away from you this morning cuz you're a little bitch that tried to further your career with an intentionally crass hot take that bullied a 5 yr old girl," wrote another.

Reimer came out in college after struggling with his sexuality when he was younger.

In 2016, he came out to WEEI listeners while on "Kirk & Callahan." After coming out, Reimer said that it may have helped his career in sports journalism overall.

"The reaction from coworkers and colleagues was fine.

I don't think it's hurt.

In fact, it has probably helped, to be honest with you.

In sports radio, it helps me stand out.

There's traditionally a more heterosexual, conservative audience.

I come in and shock that audience a bit," Reimer told Boston Spirit Magazine in a 2017 interview.

In that same interview, the LGBT publication also asked Reimer what "sports-related issue" he was interested in at the time.

"I'm puzzled at the fact that we still have no active, openly gay players in the NFL, MLB, NHL, or NBA.

At the corporate level, these organizations seem to do a great job when it comes to LGBT inclusion.

But there's still something missing in the equation in making the locker room a truly open and welcoming space," Reimer responded.

As far as athletes that Reimer is attracted to, he named Jimmy Garoppolo and Danny Amendola.

And while Brady has been appreciated as an attractive man, the quarterback doesn't do it for Reimer.

"He seems a little too tender, a little too soft to the touch," Reimer said.

He Has Been Writing About Sports Since He Was a Kid & His Work Has Been Featured in Forbes & SB Nation.

Reimer joined WEEI in October 2016.

He has not only written for various shows, but he has been a guest on "Kirk & Callahan" several times.

While most journalists get their starts in college, Reimer was far ahead of the game, getting recognized for his work in the industry when he was just a kid.

The the age of 12, Reimer landed himself spots on The Today Show and The Tonight Show because of his talents in sports journalism.

The segment was part of KSPORTS New England, "a monthly sports magazine show for kids by kids." At the time, Reimer was 19 years old.

Reimer landed an internship at 98.5 The Sports Hub in 2013.

According to his LinkedIn page, he worked as an intern for "Felger and Mazz" and "The Baseball Reporters." He did "screen calls and aided hosts in show preparation.".

From there, Reimer went on to work as a featured columnist at the Boston Herald, all while keeping up with podcasts and other radio gigs.

After six months writing for the Herald, Reimer became the co-host of "Big Show Unfiltered." He also landed himself a steady gig on as an "on-air personality for the Boston Herald's flagship radio station." .

He has worked for BostInno, Boston Magazine, SB Nation, and Forbes, all of which round out his impressive resume.

He's a Massachusetts Native & Graduated From Boston University.

Reimer grew up in Massachusetts.

Although he doesn't consider himself an "athlete" by any means, he ran cross country while attending Natick High School.

After graduation, Reimer attended Boston University, where he studied broadcast journalism.

He has previously explained why sports broadcasting is the right place for him.

"It's a fit for my personality.

When you're talking about sports, you can be more bombastic than about more serious topics.

But it's also a springboard to talk about cultural and social issues.

That's what makes someone like Colin Kaepernick such a great story.

You can talk about his protest in terms of what it does to his football value, how it relates to police brutality, and whether it bothers you if he doesn't stand for the National Anthem," Reimer explained to Boston Spirit Magazine.
