Waching daily Jan 3 2018

Christmas is over and that means easter is just around the corner, and your favourite

chocolate company, Cadbury, has an amazing promotion that could win you a stack of cash.

I'm going to tell you how, right now on IO.

What is good chocolate loving potatoes, welcome back to inform overload, I'm charlotte and

make sure you like and subscribe for all your trending news.

Before I get into this video, tell me, what is your favourite kind of chocolate?

White, dark, milk?

Let me know in the comments below.

Cadbury has officially launched white chocolate cream eggs, and as if that isn't sweet enough,

if you find one of these white eggs, you could win anywhere from 100 to 2000 English pounds.

Yes, sorry everyone else, but this promotion is only available in the UK.

This Charlie and the chocolate factory style promotion will hand out over 40 thousand english

pounds worth of prizes.

So how do you find one? the eggs look pretty much the same as the original crème egg from

the outside, they will have identical packaging.

The only difference is, the winning eggs have a white chocolate shell.

I can totally picture kids in tesco peeling away the aluminum foil of eggs they haven't

bought to see if one of them is white.

Don't do that unless you wanna deal with an angry shopowner.

In total there are 371 white eggs spread across the uk.

You can find them by shopping at Sainsbury's local, tesco express and the co op until april

1st.

Here's the catch though, only one of these eggs is worth 2 thousand british pounds.

34 are worth 1000, and the rest are only 100.

Still, that's almost 40 thousand pounds worth of prizes on a chocolate that's worth

less than an English pound.

I should also probably mention, that although a white chocolate cream egg sounds absolutely

delicious, you wont be allowed to eat it.

In order to collect your prize money, you gotta keep the egg.

Maybe you could eat like half of it?

If you find one of these eggs, call the number you find on the pagckaging.

They will tell you if your white Cadbury egg comes with money.

That is all for this video, don't worry though theres another one right over here,

apparently a perfectly preserved dinosaur egg was found.

Click it to find out more.

That's it for me, later taters.

Prince William Kate Middleton divorce cancelled why the Prince is praising his wife suddenly

After waves of rumours about an impending divorce Prince William candidly praises his wife Kate Middleton during an interview

This might be an indirect confirmation that the royal family is not going through a divorce soon

Other than his objective to stop illegal poaching

It seems that a second in line Prince William is also aiming to shush down divorce speculations on

The last day of his official visit to Vietnam for the Hanoi conference on illegal wildlife trade

He spoke about family life and his wife the English language. Talk show talk Vietnam spoke with Prince William

While poaching has been discussed. There is also some talks about personal life

He discussed his life having a family and its challenges

He says having children is wonderful

But also scary I adore my children very much and have he learned a lot about myself and about family just from having my own

Children I worry about the future more

When you have something or someone in your life to give the future to I think it focuses the mind more about what you were

Giving the men are you happy that you ve done all you can to leave it in a good State

He also commended his wife saying. I am very lucky in the support. I have from Catherine Kate, Middleton

She is an amazing mother and a fantastic wife, but Ivy struggled at times the alteration from being a single independent

Man to going into marriage and then having children is life changing

No more royal family divorce while the Prince did not directly talk about his divorce rumours. He has proven

How important his family is to him? He also showed aside? He rarely expresses by sharing about his personal life

Despite this the rumours still remain speculations it might no longer be true, or it might still ring a bell

What is known at the moment is that there has not been any official announcement to the royal family breakup?

Nikki Fox's Gravy Lollies - Would I Lie to You? [HD][CC] - Duration: 1:46.

I love gravy so much that I freeze it into ice lollies

to suck in the summertime.

- David.

- You maniac!

- What sort of gravy - beef, chicken or vegetable?

- Beef gravy would be my gravy of choice.

- Do you only make lollies out of the beef gravy?

- If I'm desperate...

- Yeah, you do sound desperate.

- ..I might possibly choose another gravy.

- Do you use granules?

- I try and avoid granules.

Cos I think, if you're going to have a gravy ice lolly,

you might as well do a posh one. - Yeah.

- Everybody thinks it's strange, yeah, everyone thinks it's strange.

- It is strange. - Do you think it's strange?

- No, because I think if I made you one, you'd suck that gravy lolly...

- Need the inhaler again.

- Yeah.

- ..you'd suck that gravy lolly and you'll be like, "Nikki..."

- There's the slogan right there. It markets itself.

"You suck that gravy lolly."

- So, David, what are you going to say, is this the truth

or is Nikki telling a lie? - What do you think? - I think it's true.

- You think it's true. - I think she's off her nut.

And I think she's made a gravy lolly.

- I think it's a lie because I think... No, I can't believe

I'm having to justify this, it's a gravy lolly, I think it's a lie.

- I think, overall, I think it's a lie. - Think it's a lie, OK.

Nikki, was it the truth or was it a lie?

- It is, in fact, a lie.

But I'm glad you believed it.

- Yes, it's a lie. Nikki doesn't freeze gravy to use as ice lollies.

Columbus Neighborhoods: What Can You Learn From a Photograph? - Duration: 7:37.

MUSIC

>> SO, WHENEVER WE INTERVIEW

PEOPLE, WE ALWAYS ASK FOR PHOTOS

BECAUSE WE NEED PHOTOS TO BE

ABLE TO VISUALLY TELL THEIR

STORIES, AND A LOT OF TIMES,

PEOPLE WILL TELL US, "OH, I JUST

DON'T HAVE ANY INTERESTING

PHOTOS," OR DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT

THEY HAVE.

SO, I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE

INTERESTING TO GET YOU GUYS

TOGETHER TO TALK ABOUT WHAT YOU

CAN LEARN FROM A PHOTO.

ED, YOU'RE A LONGTIME HISTORIAN

HERE IN COLUMBUS, AND AARON,

YOU'RE AN ARCHIVIST HERE AT THE

LIBRARY.

SO, I WANTED TO GET SOME TIPS

AND TRICKS THAT YOU GUYS USE

WHEN YOU'RE LOOKING AT PHOTOS.

SO, I HAVE A STACK OF PHOTOS

HERE OF THINGS WE'VE COLLECTED

OVER THE YEARS, AND I'M GOING TO

FLIP THEM OVER AND JUST HAVE YOU

GUYS START KIND OF WEIGHING IN

ON THE PICTURE.

SO, HERE'S THE FIRST ONE.

IT'S JUST A SCENE.

>> IT GOES BACK TO A TIME WHEN

COLUMBUS WAS A SMALL TOWN.

MOST OF THESE KIND OF OLDER

HOUSES, THIS ONE DATES FROM

ABOUT THE 1840s.

IT'S SORT OF A LITTLE OF A TOUCH

OF GREEK REVIVAL AND A LITTLE

ECLECTIC THROWN IN WITH IT.

AND THAT'S HOW YOU HELP DATE THE

PICTURE.

DATE THE PICTURE FROM THE AGE OF

THE HOUSE.

>> I'M LOOKING AT ROADS, DIRT

ROAD.

SO, I'M LOOKING AT -- SO I KNOW.

>> PEOPLE?

>> THE PEOPLE, WHAT THEY'RE

DRESSED LIKE.

EXACTLY.

EVEN THE FENCING AND THE STONES

HERE OR IN THE FENCING, AND THEN

I'M ALSO LOOKING AT ADJACENT

BUILDINGS AS WELL.

AND OF COURSE, ARCHITECTURE OF

THE BUILDING TO FIGURE OUT HOW

OLD THE BUILDING IS.

>> ANOTHER SNEAKY WAY TO DATE

THIS PICTURE IS THIS IS HIGH

STREET.

AND YOU DON'T GET A STREET CAR

LYING ON HIGH STREET UNTIL 1863.

THERE'S NO STREET CAR LINE,

WHICH HELPS YOU DATE THIS

PICTURE BACK BEFORE THAT TIME.

>> LET'S TRY ANOTHER ONE, OKAY?

THIS IS A GREAT PHOTO AND I

THINK -- YOU GUYS TAKE A LOOK AT

IT.

>> FIRST THING I DO AS A

LIBRARIAN, I LOOK AT WHAT'S IN

THE PHOTOGRAPH AND I TRY TO

DATE.

SO, WE HAVE THE ERA OF THE

LOCOMOTIVE HERE, THE TRAIN.

YOU CAN DATE AUTOMOTIVES --

AUTOMOTIVE ENGINES BASED ON WHAT

THEY'RE USING.

ARE THEY STEAM ENGINES?

ARE THEY DIESEL?

THOSE SORT OF THINGS.

SHAPES OF CARS.

EVEN HERE YOU SEE THE TOLEDO AND

OHIO CENTRAL.

AGAIN, I'M LOOKING AT HOW --

WHEN WERE THEY ACTIVE THROUGH

COLUMBUS.

AND I'M LOOKING AT SCENERY.

OF COURSE, AGAIN, CLOTHING.

I'M LOOKING AT THESE HORSE-DRAWN

VEHICLES HERE AND I'M ALSO --

OBVIOUSLY, YOU HAVE THIS

BUILDING IN THE BACK WHICH IS

VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE

THAT'S AT SO YOU CAN TELL WHERE

THE BUILDING IS BASED ON THE

BUILDING IN THE BACK.

>> SO, WHAT IS THAT BUILDING?

>> WELL, IT'S THE TOLEDO AND

OHIO CENTRAL RAILROAD STATION.

IT'S THE ONLY RAILROAD STATION

THAT STILL EXISTS IN TOWN.

IT'S NOW THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE

FIREFIGHTERS' UNION.

AND SO YOU'RE LOOKING EAST ON

BROAD STREET AT THE RAILROAD

BRIDGE.

AT THE TIME WHEN THEY WERE

BASICALLY PUTTING IN A NEW SET

OF STREET CAR TRACKS, AND AS

AARON WAS SAYING, ONE OF THE

WAYS YOU CAN HELP DATE THESE

THINGS IS BY THE CLOTHING THAT

THE PEOPLE ARE WEARING.

THIS IS RELATIVELY IDENTIFIABLE

MEN'S CLOTHING FROM THE LATE

1800s, AND YOU CAN ALSO TAKE A

LOOK AT THINGS LIKE THE

TELEPHONE LINES, BECAUSE YOU'LL

KNOW WHEN THE TELEPHONE POLES

WERE BASICALLY PUT IN, SO IT HAS

TO BE AFTER THAT POINT.

SO, YOU'RE AFTER 1879 WHEN THE

POLES STARTED COMING IN, OKAY,

LOOKING ROUGHLY AT THE TURN OF

THE CENTURY AT THIS PARTICULAR

PICTURE.

>> SO, YOU'RE LOOKING AT

BUILDINGS AND TECHNOLOGY AND

WHAT PEOPLE ARE WEARING TO

REALLY KIND OF HELP YOU NARROW

WHERE IT IS AND WHAT TIME IT WAS

TAKEN, RIGHT?

>> DEFINITELY.

>> OKAY.

ALL RIGHT.

WELL, I'VE GOT ANOTHER SCENE.

>> OKAY.

>> TYPOGRAPHY.

I'M LOOKING AT TYPOGRAPHY TO --

WHERE THE HILLS ARE AT.

I'M LOOKING AT GEOLOGICAL

FEATURES.

>> ONE OF THE POPULAR THINGS

THAT PHOTOGRAPHERS LIKE TO DO

FOR A WHILE, AND MAYBE STILL DO

FOR ALL I KNOW, IS TAKE PICTURES

OF MULTIPLE LINES OF

TRANSPORTATION SIMULTANEOUSLY.

TRAIN TRACKS AND URBAN TRACKS

AND THE CANAL AND THE RIVER, BUT

THAT'S WHAT THIS IS.

AND THIS IS IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF

TOWN.

CAN'T BE MORE THAN HALF A MILE

SOUTH OF TOWN.

WHEN YOU'RE LOOKING UP HERE AT

THE TOP OF THE HILL, THERE IS

UTILITY POLES, AND IT'S QUITE

POSSIBLE HERE WHAT YOU'RE

LOOKING AT IS HIGH STREET AS IT

MOVES SOUTH ALONG THAT RIDGE

WITH THE TRACKS DOWN BELOW IT

TOWARD THE RIVER.

AT THAT TIME, THE PIECE OF THE

CANAL WAS STILL IN PLACE.

IT'S GONE NOW AND SOME OF THESE

TRACKS ARE GONE NOW AS WELL.

>> AGAIN, SAME THING, THAT ED

WAS SAYING EARLIER, UM, YOU'RE

TALKING ABOUT TELEPHONE LINES OR

UTILITY LINES.

AGAIN, THERE'S MAPS OF THOSE

WHEN THEY GO IN OR NEW STORIES

ABOUT WHEN THOSE GO IN.

SO, YOU'RE JUST LOOKING FOR

THESE KIND OF CLUES IN THESE

PHOTOGRAPHS THAT IDENTIFY IT.

>> GREAT.

ALL RIGHT.

THEN WE OFTEN TIMES -- PEOPLE

WILL JUST HAVE RANDOM PHOTOS OF

PEOPLE IN LOCATIONS AND THEY'RE

NOT REALLY LOOKING AT THE

BACKGROUND, SO WHAT CAN YOU TELL

US ABOUT THIS PHOTOGRAPH?

AND IS IT EVEN HERE IN COLUMBUS?

WOULD YOU EVEN KNOW THAT?

>> THE MAIN THING YOU'RE LOOKING

AT IS A PICTURE OF THESE TWO

FOLKS.

>> SURE.

>> THAT'S -- AND IT'S A PICTURE

THAT WAS TAKEN QUICKLY, PROBABLY

WITH A BOX CAMERA WITH A FELLOW

TRYING TO SNAP ONE OFF QUICKLY

AT BECAUSE HE RECOGNIZED WHO

THESE FOLKS WERE.

THEIR CLOTHING DATES FROM THE

PERIOD FROM ABOUT 1910 TO

1925-ISH OR SO.

>> THE THING THAT I'M SEEING

RIGHT AWAY IS -- THIS COMES FROM

AN ERA WHERE BUGGIES AND CARS

ARE ON THE SAME STREET.

SO AGAIN, THAT LEADS BACK TO

WHAT ED WAS SAYING ABOUT THE ERA

AND OF THE CLOTHING.

THE VEHICLES MATCH UP WITH THAT

SORT OF ERA WHERE YOU'RE HAVING

BUGGIES OR CARTS ON THE STREET

IN THE SAME TIME AS YOU'RE

HAVING EARLY AUTOMOBILES.

AND THEN I'M LOOKING AT THE

STREETS -- I'M LOOKING AT THE

STREET SIGNS, THE CHOP SUEY

SIGN, THE HOTEL --

>> DO YOU HAVE DIRECTORIES AND

THINGS HERE AT THE LIBRARY THAT

YOU'RE ABLE TO KIND OF LOOK

THROUGH BUSINESS NAMES?

>> YEAH, YOU CAN LOOK IT UP.

>> USUALLY, YOU CAN GET IT

WITHIN FIVE OR TEN YEARS BASED

ON DRESSES AND WHAT'S IN THE

BACKGROUND HERE.

AND THEN YOU CAN USE CITY

DIRECTORIES AND JUST GO THROUGH

LISTS AND FIND THOSE.

UM, AND THINGS LIKE ANCESTRY

NOW, YOU CAN KEYBOARD SEARCH

THINGS IN DIRECTORIES, SO YOU

COULD TYPE IN "CHOP SUEY" IF

THAT'S ACTUALLY THE NAME OF THE

PLACE.

>> THE LAST INSTANCE THAT I

WANTED TO SHOW YOU GUYS WAS THAT

SOMETIMES WE WILL BE LOOKING AT

AN ALBUM AND WE WILL FIND A

BUNCH OF PHOTOS.

SOMETIMES MAYBE LOOKING AT

SEVERAL PHOTOS MIGHT HELP YOU

PIECE TOGETHER WHERE IT IS IN

TIME PERIOD, RIGHT?

>> WELL, THE FIRST IS THE PALACE

THEATER WHICH IS SITTING RIGHT

THERE ON BROAD STREET JUST

PAST HIGH -- THIS IS THE

DESHLER HOTEL AT THE CORNER

WHICH WAS TORN DOWN IN 1969, SO

YOU KNOW IT'S PRIOR TO THAT.

YEAH, THERE'S SOME WONDERFUL

SHOTS OF CARS.

THERE'S CLASSIC RIGHT THERE.

BLOW THAT GUY UP, YOU MIGHT EVEN

BE ABLE TO GET A LICENSE PLATE

OFF OF IT.

WELL, EDDY DUCHIN'S ORCHESTRA IS

PLAYING AT THE PALACE THEATER,

SO THAT PLACE IT A LITTLE BIT

RIGHT THERE.

>> AND YOU COULD LOOK THAT UP IN

A NEWSPAPER ARCHIVE TO SEE WHEN

HE WAS PLAYING.

>> AND THIS IS FARTHER OUT ON

BROAD.

YOU CAN SEE THE LeVEQUE TOWER IN

THE BACKGROUND.

>> AND THERE'S STILL SMOKE

COMING OUT OF THE TOWER, THE

LeVEQUE TOWER, SO THAT AGAIN

WILL HELP YOU AGE THE ERA OF THE

PHOTOGRAPH BECAUSE EVENTUALLY

THE LeVEQUE TOWER DOESN'T BELLOW

SMOKE ANYMORE.

THEY'RE NOT HEATING IT.

[ LAUGHTER ]

SO IT'S BEFORE THAT, SO YOU CAN

NARROW IT DOWN A LITTLE BIT.

>> THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I THINK THIS GIVES PEOPLE MORE

TOOLS TO USE WHEN THEY'RE

LOOKING AT PHOTOGRAPHY AND

THEY'RE NOT QUITE SURE WHERE IT

IS.

SO, THANK YOU, GUYS.

>> THANK YOU.

Subscriptions Cost How Much?! - Ep #10 - Duration: 8:32.

Welcome back to this episode of the Find Your MoneyPath show!

On today's episode we're going to talk about a strategy that a lot of businesses & a lot

of companies are starting to move towards, which is subscription packages, subscription

products.

You've probably gotten a Birch Box in the past or you're a Spotify monthly member, Apple

Music, Hulu, Netflix, gym, Crossfit, you name it.

There's a subscription for just about everything these days.

What I want to do is walk through a practical exercise.

We're going to flip over to the computer here in a minute, but I just want to walk through

the typical, standard subscriptions that the normal average person might have & what that

cost looks like over the course of a year.

Then, thinking about maybe if there's something that you don't use that often or maybe if

there's a couple different services or subscriptions that you have that are complimentary to each

other.

Maybe this is a great time, since it's the beginning of the year to think about let's

just remove one of those & then we've got X number of dollars back per month & this

is going to be $100 or $200 over the course of the year.

This is a great time to re-evaluate those decisions.

So, I'm going to flip over to the computer & we're just going to walk through a scenario

of what it could look like to just re-evaluate what subscriptions you've got at the beginning

of the year & how much you could save & what that could look like over the course of a

year.

Alright, so just set up a very quick & easy exercise that we can walk through for the

different subscriptions & how much they cost each month.

We can see right here the annual amount that the subscriptions cost.

I think it's always good to evaluate subscriptions through the lens of the annual amount.

I even did this for my own self.

I looked at Spotify & thought okay it's $10/mo that's $120 a year.

Ultimately for me we kept it, but that helped put it in perspective for me.

Let's go down through here & run through the typical subscriptions that the average person

or family might have.

Let's do Apple Music/Spotify.

If you're on an individual plan that's $9.99/mo so let's round up & that's $120 a year.

Now if you have Hulu, which some of the packages range for certain amounts.

Let's go on the low side & say $7.99 for Hulu.

Let's also say that we have Netflix because I know that Netflix has more movies & original

content than Hulu so let's say that's another $8/mo.

I think that may be going a little higher.

Let's pause here.

Just for Apple Music, Hulu & Netflix we're already at $300 for the year.

Let's do Amazon Prime.

I know people pay that annually, but let's say it's $9 a month so $108 a year.

Let's say $8/mo, $96/year.

Let's say you have a Birch Box or any other box subscription...that's another $10 a month.

We also have gym membership.

On the low end that can run $40-$50 on the high end, can run upwards of $150 if you're

doing things like Crossfit.

Let's just go standard & go $40 a month.

So, right there you're at $1,000 just for those basic subscriptions & this doesn't include

things like cable, internet, cell phone.

Those are another $200 - $300 a month right there.

We can add miscellaneous right here.

There's plenty of other options, but let's just put another $200 worth & this can be

cell phone, internet, cable.

That's probably on the low end.

So just on subscriptions alone that's $284 a month or $3,400 a year.

Look at what's on this list.

Most everything on this list is an entertainment related item or expense.

This doesn't include car payments or student loans.

While it doesn't feel like a lot of money in the month it adds up quickly & that's why

companies are doing this.

Think about Apple Music & Spotify are able to get $120 out of you & Hulu & Netflix & Amazon

Prime are also able to get the same amount out of you.

It seems like the cost of a cup of coffee or two, but it doesn't seem like that much.

In the grand scheme of things it's not, but because the monthly amount is so small it's

not going to feel like a pain point in your budget.

You're probably going to keep the subscription for a year, two years, three years & you take

this out another few years & they've got $400-$500 from you.

It's a really easy way for them to keep getting money for a service, even if you use it or

don't.

I know some of us go up & down with how often we use things like Hulu, Netflix & Prime.

Especially the gym, we use it for a month & then we're still paying for it for the next

11 months.

This is just an easy way for companies to get you in at a low price point & not feel

like a pain point every month & keep the money coming in.

If we assume, Joe Blow makes $50k, this $3,400 is about 7% of his income.

With the other 90% we've got to include taxes, rent/mortgage, student loans, car loans, credit

card payments, going out to dinner, hanging out with friends, insurance, etc etc.

This takes up almost 1/10 of your budget for the average person.

You might have less or more than this, this is just average.

One thing that I want to point out is that it's the beginning of a new year it's a great

time to re-evaluate which of these you actually use.

If you haven't used it in the past six months or have used it sporadically it might be time

to cut it & see if you can go without it for a few months & if you can you just saved yourself

$100 this year with Hulu, for example.

This is just one piece of the puzzle.

You can save any number of $8 charges a month & think about it, every $8 charge you save

every month is $100 a year.

You do that for 10 different things or you go out to two less coffees or one less dinner

a month then all of a sudden you've found $1,000 a year that you've all of a sudden

saved that you were spending before.

It just takes minor tweaks to really start to see a big impact on your bottom line or

being able to save a little more or saving some of this money & putting it towards debt.

So, I challenge you it's the new year, go ahead re-evaluate your subscriptions.

Just list it out, list how much your monthly amount is & calculate how much the annual

amount is.

See if you're still willing to pay for that.

Hopefully you can make some changes & hopefully save a little bit more money in 2018.

Hey guys, I hope this episode was helpful for you today.

If you have anybody that you work with, are friends with or are neighbors with that has

mentioned to you that they are really looking to get on track with money in the new year,

I would love for you to mention Find Your MoneyPath [Atlanta Financial Coach] to them.
