Midsummer Scream & Scare LA (Horror Conventions) - Duration: 8:08.

Hey guys this is sticks how you guys doing?

I'lm all the way out here in Long Beach California for

something that I'm very curious about but is something that I think is

going to be kind of cool because it's gonna be a spooky as hell probably and I

hope I get scared as hell as is it better be

today I'm out here in Long Beach wear I'm gonna I'm gonna check out the one

something that my friends been trying to get me to see midsummer Scream here at

the Long Beach Convention Center

midsummer scream is a convention like no other it's dedicated to Halloween

horror movies and television shows creatures of the night trick-or-treating

and to the people who put their time creativity and hard work into scaring the

shit out of you and that's the kind of bunch that's here today you can feel the

excitement and the adrenaline rush everywhere you turn but turn carefully

because you're about to run into vampires zombies witches ghosts

werewolves axe murderers Vikings evil scientist mad doctors or some guy

walking around holding a doll on his shoulder (haha) speaking of which I brought our

girl Miku with me this time she's wearing a witches outfit that my friend

Meghan made for her and in a strange way she seems to blend in with this crowd

and it goes to show just how much fun everyone is having that's what this

convention is all about it brings together everyone to celebrate the love

of their favorite holiday that's unlike any other for all ages

much like other conventions here they have discussion panels video rooms promotions for

various horror movies coming soon and a few other spooky surprises popping up

here and there including entertainment for a more mature audience so parents beware

one of the panels I'm at right now it is dedicated to puppetry

and it's actually interesting within the indie horror community that people

have to see things like this is so I really got to take a look at one day to

see it's all dedicated to some scary imagination so people can have when

telling different stories and puppetry is one form of telling the story

that you really gotta see to believe

and of course what would a convention be without a dealer's room

here's where you'll find some of the best Haunted toys props and equipment that

will make your home the best haunted house on the block and it's where most

of the fans will hang out too

Look we're over here in front of the Bat's Day booth right

there and look there's my video right there they play my video on here for

everybody to see it see that's how important everything is around here

oh yeah there's there's there's this little beauty and there's the other

beauty see they're lovely I love them - too everybody tells you watch my video

you're gonna see everything here from all kinds of everything you want to

scare the shit out of you trust me it's gonna be so much fun but the idea is

that you find everything from masks here everything for all kinds of costumes you

see everybody are having a great time with all kinds of items you can if you

can't imagine where you're going to find them and the most

creative people in the world are actually here to show all kinds of stuff

that you're never gonna find it at Walmart I'm always say saying you're never gonna

find this at Walmart because it's true you're not gonna find it at Walmart but trust

me this is one place you gotta definitely come and check out to

see to believed but the one place where everyone goes is where it's dark and

here is where you're going to find two of the biggest draws of the convention

the first is the hunted mazes much like the mazes at Knott's Halloween Haunt

each one has a theme where you'll find many kinds of Horrors that you have to

find your way through if you want to survive and of course it's all in the

dark the second is where some of the most talented hot performers reside the

decayed Brigade sliders their scare technique was first created by haunt

monsters at Knott's Scary Farm decades ago and scare groups like the decay

Brigade have turned the act of scaring into a unique art form that only a few

can master and once you see them in action

you can see why they're a favorite among Con goers

and since I had so much fun the other day over at midsummer scream I thought

why else should I stop now so I came here so I managed to bring Alice

with me today to come with me to another place that's doing just the exact same

thing the week after scare LA is another convention that's set up

as a competition to the other one and this right here is just as cool as the

first so this is one you also got to come to as well

Scare L.A is a slightly smaller Halloween convention located at the Los Angeles Convention Center and

just like in Long Beach it gives others a chance to experience

the insane horror and fun along with a host of characters from your darkest nightmares

Oh my god oh shit that is cool

I love it thank you

that's fantastic

one thing you have a chance to see at both cons is unique

stylish artwork that's almost never seen outside events like this even Alice was impressed

but what impressed me the most was the many kinds of movie props that

were displayed here it gives you a chance to see what these props look like

up close and just like before there's a darkened area which houses haunted mazes

props and sets a freak show and a host the characters you're never going to

forget you can even have a drink while you're roaming around

even our friends from the decay brigade made an appearance to scare the

crowd so as I'm waiting for the day to end out here at Scare L.A I think it's

kind of cool to say that you know it's cool to come here so I want to say to

go to Knott's go to Universal you're gonna see a lot more of this stuff

How To Change A Tire Like A Boss - Duration: 3:02.

- Today, how to change a tire.

Step one, avoid changing a tire at all costs.

Look, it's basically 2018.

Emojis can do my taxes.

Why should I change my own tire?

I mean, the Geico mobile app exists

so I can request emergency road service in two minutes.

And if this is your life, no worries.

Geico's digital ID card gives you

proof of coverage right from your phone.

So no one's judging your hot mess when help arrives.

Anyway, if you're okay with changing your own tire

on the side of a highway, with a screaming baby,

then here's how to do it, cause it's empowering

to do shit for ourselves, even though moms basically

do everything for everyone all the time.

Step two, locate the space tire.

It's usually under the floor mat in the trunk,

which means you need to take out your stroller

and the shopping bags if you're getting anywhere at all.

Step three, pray you didn't throw out this other little bag

you need, jack, lug wrench, flares, gloves.

Hello your nails.

Owner's manual, you know the thing

that your tweezers are on in the glove box?

You need all of it.

Step four, play it safe.

That means, find a spot to park that's not on a hill

and has no signs of a zombie apocalypse.

Bonus if the kids can safely run around in the field.

This is where you turn on your hazard lights,

parking brake, and put wheel wedges in front of the tire.

This will keep your car from rolling away

and you from being on Channel 7 tonight.

Step five, change the tire.

If you have them, pop off the bolt covers

with this little pip.

Then take the lug wrench and

loosen the bolts by turning counterclockwise.

Now you're gonna wanna do this before you jack up the car

because you wanna turn the bolts, not the tire.

That will mess up your shit.

And if we've learned anything as moms,

it's that we want calm when things are jacked up.

Place the jack under the car frame, near your tire wheel.

Most new cars have a notch, so feel around for it.

That's where this baby goes.

Now raise the care up about an inch,

just enough to get the tire off.

You don't need to go cray cray.

Now remove the rest of the lug nuts,

lift, and pull the tire.

Hold up your tire and take a selfie.

Then throw it to the side, throw on the new tire,

and replace the lug nuts.

And screw them in until they're snug, and then

lower the car, remove the jack,

and tighten with your friend the lug wrench.

When you tighten them, make sure to tighten them

in a zig zag, rather than in a circle.

This will distribute the weight

of the tire and line them up perfectly.

So there you go.

using your own towel is more hygienic anyway

you can save some important belongings

from water damage

is useful when you need to store your luggage

is more secure

since it creates inconvenience for the thief

so you can go wild and binge watch your downloaded videos

they are usually out when you need them the most, so

The Car Seat Explainer Video Every Parent Needs To Watch Is Here - Duration: 3:03.

- Today, how to install a car seat like a boss.

So, you may have seen that viral video,

showing how to carry an infant seat

without breaking your back.

Now, let's make sure all the car seats

that you'll have in your lifetime are used correctly.

Step one, if it looks like your bra, it's wrong.

Your kid's straps should, in no way,

resemble that sagging bra you've been rolling

with since back when velour tracksuits were in style.

The straps should be tight.

That means no hidden slack.

Pull up from the shoulders and tighten the tail.

You're gonna have to do this a few times.

Step two, turn your back on them longer.

People, you have the rest of their lives

to look at your kid's face,

so keep their rear facing, at least until age two,

but ideally, a lot longer.

Seriously, that little bald, or slightly flat head

is much safer if it's turned away from you

and it also prepares you for age nine,

when they storm away from you

when you won't let them get a smartphone.

Step three, give me five.

People, the creepy birthday magician you hired

is bad enough.

Don't punish your four-year-old by taking away

their five-point harness too soon.

I know, figuring out when to switch seats

is totally confusing, so let me break it down.

Don't trade the five-point seat

for a booster with a seatbelt

until your kid can check all these boxes.

Be five years old, weigh 40 pounds plus,

be mature enough to sit like a human,

meaning not lean over, slouch,

or mess around with the seatbelt.

And if the kid gives you flack

for still using a babyish seat,

tell them that even the best race car drivers

of the world use a five-point harness.

So, there.

Step four, don't forget the tether, Heather.

60 percent of parents have no idea

what this thing is for, and that's a problem.

It keeps your kid's spine and brain much safer,

so get to know it.

Plain and simple, every forward-facing seat

has a tether and you need to use it.

Even if your forward-facing seat uses a lower-latch anchor,

or the seatbelt, you need to use the tether, period.

And P.S., Heather,

the third row of your SUV or cute minivan

might not have a tether anchor,

so rearrange the seat to a spot that has it, will ya?

Step five, get the recline angle right.

Thankfully, all rear-facing seats now come with a guide

to help you figure out how to angle the seat correctly.

Now, babies can have their airway blocked

if their chin flops to their chest, so let's avoid that.

don't be cheap and use a secondhand seat

without knowing its history.

The pain is normally mild or moderate and can easily be overcome with painkillers.

After the surgery, the fat donor sites will be swollen and bruised.

It will take a few weeks or even months for the swelling to disappear.

The incisions placed for fat removal will develop into scars.

Typically, the scars are smaller and not easily noticeable.

The aesthetic results will not be visible immediately after the procedure.

It will take your body some time to establish blood flow to the fat grafts and for the fat cells

The results will become gradually visible in a few weeks or even months.

The primary recovery period will last for two weeks, meaning that after two weeks you may resume work.

During the primary recovery period, you will be required to avoid sitting and sleeping on your back

because the pressure can damage the fat grafts and spoil the achieved results.

Other physical activities like sports, exercises, jogging, jumping, weight lifting, etc. must be avoided

for the first six weeks after the surgery.

When you finally start sitting after two weeks, you will be required to place a soft cushion or rolled towel

under your hamstring muscles so your buttocks are raised and the pressure directed on the buttocks

is prevented.

Patients must ask their surgeons as to what they can expect during the recovery period.

This will help them prepare for the recovery.
