Do What You Enjoy: Fun vs pleasure - Duration: 2:54.

do what you enjoy are you doing the things that you enjoy in your life what

else can you do to enjoy things more

hi, so do what you enjoy are you doing that because I know that you've heard it

before maybe you said it to somebody else you know you just got to do what

you enjoy but if it's not just fun related if it's not just about fun

activities then how much do you really enjoy the things that you do now the way

I see it it's like this you want to enjoy the goal that you want to achieve

that's what you want to enjoy that's that's what you do enjoy otherwise why

when you want to achieve it anyway so for me I enjoy my goals and I focus on

my goals I'm committed to achieve those goals

you know if I'm really passionate about it and then it's before you achieve it

you on this journey of achieving it of achieving those goals and during that

journey things can happen there are not as fun or not as enjoyable as the goal

itself or or rather just just the steps that you have to take or not all as

pleasant but that's just part of it you you're not affected by that too much or

in a negative way so do what you enjoy is just being focused that's what it's

about for me it's about being focused so that so that you can achieve the things

easier and faster because you enjoy the process you enjoy getting towards that

goal so and you may think well I already know that so this is nothing new but

there is so often where I hear people complain about things I mean they say

one thing but then other things come out of their mouth just a moment later you know

they don't really understand that so I really want you to think about that

state that statement you know like do what you enjoy and if you really agree

with it and how do you agree with it and and what can you catch yourself

things or complain about things that you are to be that you are to enjoy in life

you know if it's a goal then see how much you can not complain about the the

process of attaining that goal because there are only stopping you okay you

want to have the least amount of resistance there for you to enjoy what

you want to do so and and and there's one tip that I would like to give you if

it's not something that you have to do yourself maybe you can give it to

somebody else

Jazz Bass Lesson - 4 Places To Apply Chromatic Notes To The Major Scale - Duration: 9:42.

what's up everybody Posido here with Inspire Bass helping you to advance and

inspire on the bass so you want to know how you can start applying chromatic

notes to the major scale well in this video I'm going to show you four places

you can apply chromatic notes to the major scale so when you play a

continuous line your chord tones are automatically gonna fall on the strong

beats let's check it out okay so one of the main reasons why chromatic notes are

applied to scales is really so that the core tones of those scales are going to

fall on strong beats and this particularly pertains to playing a scale

either ascending or descending as an eighth note line so for instance if I

have a c-major scale CDEFG ABC

and I want to establish the sound of for instance C major my core tones are going

to be C E G and A now in order to establish that sound we're gonna want

those chord tones c e g and a to fall in the strong beats now for an eighth note

line your strong beats are essentially going to be the quarter notes beats one

two three and four okay so you'll see that this being a seven note scale these

chord tones are not going to fall on the strong beats if I were to play for

instance a continuous line so one and two three and four and one and two three

and four and one two and three okay so sometimes they phoned are the

strong beats and then they fall out and then vice versa so we could insert a

chromatic note or chromatic notes to this scale so that there will be a sense

of harmonic balance with your melodies okay and basically what that means is

your chord tones are falling on strong beats so the first place that you can

insert a chromatic tone is between the fifth degree and a sixth degree okay so

you have these notes cdefg G sharp or A flat A BC

that's essentially a C major be-bop scale so if you want to know a little

bit more about bebop scales check out the links I'll put in the description

below but take a look at what happens if I were to count straight eighth notes

with this additional chromatic note you'll see that all my chord tones c e g

and a they're all going to fall on the strong beats go one and two three four

one two three four one two three and four and one okay so that is an

important chromatic tone that you can our chromatic note that you can apply to

a major scale to get your core total fall on on the strong beats now there

are three other places that you can apply chromatic tones to a major scale

and these are often in combination with another one

sometimes they for the most part but they don't have to be okay and so here's

some places that you can apply a chromatic tone if I were to apply a

chromatic tone between the third and the second degrees so between E and D I want

to put an E flat you'll notice at this point the second degree is going to fall

on a strong beat okay so there's a couple things that we can do here you

can continue down the scale and at some point you will you will land on a strong

beat okay so or your you know your your line is going to end on a strong beat so

at that point now that your core tone is on a strong beat I can now insert the

chromatic tone between the 5th and the 6th degree because balance is already

restored ok I can also insert that that a chromatic tone much sooner and this is

going to be the third chromatic tone I can insert a chromatic tone between the

2nd degree and the root ok so so now I'm going to insert another chromatic tone

between the 2nd degree and the root so now balance is restored and I can put

my regular chromatic tone between the 5th and the 6th okay so you'll notice

that depending on where you throw the chromatic tone you're gonna have to put

in another chromatic tone - just to bring the balance back whenever the

balance is is restored you want to maintain this flat 6 or this this core

tone between the 5th degree and the 6 degree ok because that's going to keep

your core tone ceg and egg that's going to keep that falling on on strong beats

okay another place we can put a chromatic tone is between the 7th degree

the 6th degree ok so let's say I were to start my line on an non-chord tone like

an F so 1 & 2 & 3 at this point this being natural is falling on a strong

beat so I'm gonna put a chromatic tone between the 7th and the 6th degree and

that's going to restore everything

okay once it's restored I'm gonna still maintain my original chromatic tone

between the fifth and sixth so my line sounds like this okay and you can

actually combine these chromatic tones so for instance if I were to start a

chromatic tone between the 3rd and the 2nd again and I'm not gonna play this

chromatic tone between the 2nd and the root at that point if I continue

traveling down might be natural is gonna fall on a strong beat so now I can

combine that chromatic tone between the 7th and 6th ok so you'll see that adding

these chromatic tones creates a very natural flow or a very natural lined with your

major scales and it actually doesn't require as much thinking as as it sounds

you know I'm saying a lot of chromatic tones but there's really only really

four places that I'm inserting a between the 5th and a 6 between the 7th and the

6th between the 2nd degree in the root and between the 3rd degree in the second

degree the way to know when to apply the chromatic tones really just boils down

to are my chord tones falling on strong beats if they're falling on strong beats

at that point balance is restored you can just stay with your that original

major be-bop scale

okay but once bounces is has been thrown off just slightly for instance and now

you have non chord tones falling on strong beats at that point you can start

applying then the other core tones or the other chromatic notes to bring that

balance back okay so for instance let's say I were to just play this scale and

not play any chromatic tones okay so let's say I'm just going to start on the

G 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & not gonna add chromatic tones to make this all

balanced again okay

so I put in a chromatic tone between the second and the root there's really no

right or wrong way to do it the key is inserting the chromatic tones

between those those key locations to restore balance okay so that's basically

the four places that you can apply chromatic tones to your major scale so

that your core tones will fall on strong beats let me know what you think in the

comment section below I hope you found this helpful thanks for watching this

video and subscribe for more videos just like this until next time keep advancing

and inspiring in the base I'll see you soon

really the main reason is so that your core tones of that skin your core tones

will end up falling on strong beats okay okay so one of the main reasons why you

would add okay so one of the main reasons that chromatic notes are applied

to major scales or any scale for that matter is so that the core tones will

fall on strong beats

The Beckhams' kitchen is just as fabulous as you might expect - Duration: 3:22.

The Beckhams' kitchen is just as fabulous as you might expect

The Beckhams kitchen is just as fabulous as you might expect Victoria Beckham shared a video of her son Cruz cooking pancakes at the weekend.

has given fans a peek inside the kitchen of her luxurious London home, and it is just as stylish as you might expect.

The fashion designer shared a video of her youngest son Cruz cooking pancakes at their home in Holland Park at the weekend, inadvertently showcasing her spacious kitchen and dining room in the process.

Cooking with Cruz!! she captioned the short clip, which showed the 12-year-old lifting a saucepan off the hob and flipping his pancake in the air.

While Cruzs cooking skills were impressive, followers would have no doubt have been distracted by the beautiful kitchen, which features dark gloss cabinets and wooden flooring, with a wall-mounted television in the background to keep the family entertained as they cook.

Victoria and David have added a number of stylish accessories to their kitchen, including pastel coloured salt and pepper mills, a wooden knife block and a marble pestle and mortar which sit on the work surfaces.

As the camera pans, Victoria shows a glimpse of her dining room, where there is a long dining table with wooden benches for the family to sit at.

It is not the first time Victoria has shared photos and videos from her family kitchen; the mum-of-four previously showcased her striking black and white patterned table in a post in which she revealed her favourite healthy breakfast cereal in October.

Victoria also shared a photo of herself standing in the hallway of their home, which features black and white tiled flooring and a wide staircase that appears to have a large window on the first floor overlooking the garden.

As you would expect from the fashion designer, the property is pristinely decorated with a huge arched doorway leading into another room and a chandelier hanging at the top of the stairs.

The Beckhams moved into their home with their four children in July 2016 after spending an estimated £5million on renovations.

The couple are currently , and plans submitted to the local council show they hope to transform the garden into an incredible two-tier outdoor space complete with a natural swimming pond.
