As I mentioned ketogenic diets are huge

and I firmly believe that they can be very beneficial for weight loss,

for all kinds of health conditions, but so can low-carb.

I think sometimes we forget about low-carb.

I think some of it may have to do with how do you define a ketogenic diet.

There's different definitions.

From the people I've talked to,

let's say most people would... maybe 20 g or less per day as a ketogenic diet.

I don't know, some people would say it depends on the individual,

and that's kind of how I feel

because people will produce ketones at different carb levels,

depending on lots of things, insulin sensitivity and how active they are.

But let's say 20 g or less per day.

And over that it would be like a very low-carb to low-carb diet.

So I think they can both be beneficial.

You need to find what works best for you.

You know when we do diet studies comparing low-carb or ketogenic diets,

it's always compared to a high carb diet whatever it is.

To the Mediterranean diet or to the Dash diet or to a low-fat diet.

It's never comparing less than 20 g per day to 50 g per day.

I don't know if that study is ever going to get done,

I think we'd all be interested in it,

but I think also I would suspect that if you did like a crossover study

where you had people follow each for a month

with the washout period in between,

you would find that some people did better in terms of blood sugar, weight,

just how they felt overall, with a very, very low-carb ketogenic diet

and others would do better with a little more moderate intake of carbs

and then some would have really no difference.

And I just think it is important to keep in mind.

EMOTIONAL ABUSE BY A NARCISSIST: 3 Effects of Narcissistic Abuse on You #VulnerabilityAccountability - Duration: 16:13.

Have you experienced emotional abuse?

I know it must have been really hard on you, affecting

how you feel about who you are.

I can relate to your pain.

I experienced narcissistic abuse in my marriage

and was depressed and suicidal, suffering from the EMOTIONAL PAIN

of mental cruelty.

In this video, I will explain to you

how the Narcissist manipulates your mind

and why.

I'll share with you my 3 poems received

in my CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD in 2017

while I was recovering from Narcissistic Relationships Abuse.

Hi!

My name is Anna Szabo, and this channel is for

in their relationship with Jesus.

Here, we have authentic conversations about God, Gospel,

and the matters of life.

A new video comes out every single day!

Today is #VulnerabilityAccountability Thursday and this daily devotional is on the topics

of abusive relationships, why do women stay in abusive relationships, and my personal

story of recovering from an abusive relationship with a Narcissist.

Let's dive right into it.

There are 3 main ways in which the Narcissist abuses you mentally and emotionally.

The effects of emotional abuse can be so severe

that 9 women I know in the last 2 years took their own lives dealing with narcissistic

abuse

And I was also extremely suicidal while living with the Narcissist.

So what are those 3 ways of Narcissistic Relationship Abuse?

1.

Gaslighting to make you feel mentally incompetent

2.

Projection to make YOU feel guilty for all HIS faults

3.

Silent Treatment also called SILENT ABUSE

used by the Narcissist to devalue you and make you feel worthless

Here's the fundamental truth about the abuse you're enduring:

this what you're experiencing has nothing to do with you

and has everything to do with your abuser's childhood trauma.

Why am I telling you this?

Because relationship abuse you're exposed to

makes YOU feel guilty and inadequate.

But it's not your fault!

I want YOU to UNDERSTAND Narcissistic Abuse so that you can STOP blaming yourself for

The Narcissist's faults.

He never bonded with his primary caregiver.

Whoever took care of him when he was a child

did not create with the Narcissist a proper bonding

called ATTACHMENT.

The thing is this: YOU feel that YOU

need to love the Narcissist some more.

And more.

And more!

But the Narcissist doesn't JUST feel by YOU unloved.

He feels fundamentally UNLOVEABLE.

Not because of you but because of his childhood experiences.

BECAUSE he feels unlovable, he is full of shame and self-hatred.

Feeling those, he can't survive.

So, how can The Narcissist survive?

He created a persona.

It's his EGO which HE HAS TO CONSTANTLY

PUFF UP in order to survive.

He doesn't have REAL SELF.

That's why you're wondering how he can abuse you and not feel any compassion.

But he cannot feel because all he has is a persona

which is his Ego, not a real self.

He always wears a mask.

He's always on guard.

You can't get through to him.

You know why?

No one's home, I mean nobody's there.

What you fell in love with was his persona but he can't maintain it 24/7

so now you're in a relationship with a monster.

But nobody believes you.

Why?

Because the Narcissist pretends to be a people pleaser and a very nice guy.

Why?

Because he doesn't have real self, he needs praise and admiration

to puff up his Ego.

He lured YOU into a relationship with him

to use YOU as his Narcissistic Supply off praise and admiration.

Here's the poem I wrote last year about it,

It's called

The Narcissist is a Chief Deceiver and Liar.

The Narcissist is a Chief Deceiver and Liar.

To lure you into his premeditated deception, he will go to a great length.

He needs desperately for someone him to admire.

Without praise, admiration, and compliments he has no strength.

It's because the Narcissist has a very fragile ego.

No one and nothing is important to him but praise.

When the Narcissist is pursuing you, it can be very intriguing,

But only until he quickly ends that short-term happy phase.

After the Narcissist had successfully lured you,

He resorts to just being himself and eating you alive.

His mistakes and faults start being projected by him on you.

And at that point, he wants nothing less than your very life.

Let's now talk about Narcissistic Projection mentioned in this poem.

By the way, I will link to all the poems I share today

below this video so you can go check them out.

WHAT IS NARCISSISTIC PROJECTION?

It's him manipulating you to believe that his faults are yours.

Here's a poem I wrote about it.

It's called

The Narcissist Projects His Faults On You

Projection is the Narcissist's favorite trick.

It's his fine art of making you feel guilty for his vices.

He exhausts you with his manipulation and makes you mentally sick.

Then, he starts Silent Treatment on you and to make sense of his cruelty

you're left to your own devices.

You have been harmed by the evil Narcissist

Who once upon a time portrayed himself as a genuine person.

But nothing genuine or vulnerable in him even exists.

The more you believe the Narcissist, the more his mental cruelty will worsen.

The Narcissist doesn't see you for who you are.

In fact, he doesn't see you at all.

His relationship with you is so bizarre Because your only value is

to praise and admiration supply to his ego-filled soul.

So, how is he so successful at projecting his faults on you?

Well, remember that relationship phase when he was cherishing and sweet?

That's when the Narcissist persuaded you

That he is wise and trustworthy and that his companionship

you really need.

Later on, the Narcissist rendered you

as his victim to emotional terror,

Which you had to deny for a while to simply survive.

This mental coping mechanism has been practiced by war prisoners forever.

It's when you stop trusting your own perception of reality

to be able to stay alive.

So, the Narcissist projects his faults on you easily,

Because you don't have any confidence from abuse

and doubt your every thought.

With time, as the scope of his mental cruelty is increasing,

To project more and to gaslight you more the Narcissist ought.

SO, WHAT IS NARCISSISTIC GASLIGHTING mentioned in this poem?

Gaslighting is a mental manipulation technique aimed to persuade YOU to believe that YOU

are crazy and mentally unstable.

I go into real-life examples of my personal experience of Narcissistic Abuse

sharing the stories of Narcissistic Gaslighting and Narcissistic Projection

from my court records last year.

The video is called NARCISSISTIC ABUSE EXPLAINED and I'll link to it in the notes below this

video.

Here's a poem I wrote about Narcissistic Gaslighting,

you'll also find it in the video notes, it's called

"The Narcissist Gaslights You"

Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse

Used by the Narcissist in order to instill in you as his victim

An extreme sense of anxiety so that you become completely confused,

To the point where you no longer trust your discerning mental system.

The emotional damage of Gaslighting is huge on the Narcissist's victim.

Gaslighting is truly the most powerful covert method of Narcissistic Control.

You are mentally manipulated to never be able to predict him,

And to make you feel crazy and brain-scattered is his primary goal.

The Narcissist's agenda is to first kill your confidence.

He needs your energy and glow but also feels that he himself

doesn't measure up.

That's why he meticulously sets out to make you doubt your own mental competence,

So that with self-doubt, sadness, and insecurity is filled your emotional cup.

He's very clever at making you doubt the reality of your own perception.

He's very intentional at persuading you to question the evidence of your own senses.

The facts are always twisted is the Narcissist's very believable deception

To make it seem as if he were a victim so that you pay his expenses.

The Narcissist constantly hides whatever makes him feel ashamed,

But if he can't hide, he will just skillfully lie.

He is terrified if his actions create negative consequences to establish the truth aimed.

He will work over time to persuade anyone that you are crazy

and he is just a nice guy.

And the Narcissist persuaded people very eloquently so don't feel even crazier

seeing that people don't believe you about his actual behavior.

The Narcissist is very good at pretending.

Remember, he needs people's approval for his Ego to survive.

And now let's talk about Narcissistic Silent Treatment

and why you're being ignored, discarded,

and devalued to the point of feeling like you are NOTHING.

This poem I wrote is called

"The Narcissist's Silent Treatment"

and here's what he does to you and why:

To control, punish, intimidate, and invalidate you,

The Narcissist uses Silent Treatment chronically.

With that, this Eternal Child intends to demonstrate to you

How worthless you are to him, ironically.

"Ironically" because he actually needs you to supply

Admiration, attention, money, and praise for him.

Yet, superbly the childish Narcissist will apply

Silent Treatment until you with self-doubt and confusion he

can brim.

The Narcissist is self-absorbed, moody,

aloof, and egotistical.

He won't even blink abusing you and taking money from you

at the same time.

And while to you this behavior appears to be erratic

and mystical,

To the empathy-lacking, feelingless Narcissist

doing it is no grime.

Narcissistic Silent Treatment is aimed to express

The Narcissist's disapproval of you and his anger and rage.

He's a never-grown Little Boy wanting you to oppress,

While into productive conflict resolution you as an adult

try him to engage.

The Silent Treatment is used by this Eternal Child to send you a message

Of how insignificant and worthless you are to him.

It's because the immature Narcissist

can't a productive dialogue manage,

Since he has such a poor self-image and low esteem.

The Narcissist has such a fragile ego

That he needs your energy and eats you alive.

Constantly putting you down for him is very intriguing,

Because that's how he puffs-up his ego to survive.

So, really the Narcissist is very childlike, full of shame and self-hatred,

and he has no adult communication skills

to address relationship with you in a mature and productive way.

NOT because of anything related to YOU but because he himself

feels fundamentally unlovable from his childhood trauma.

I hope understanding the Narcissist and these 3 aspects of abusive relationships

helps you realize: none of it is YOUR fault.

WHY DO WOMEN STAY IN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS?

Because we love this guy who pretended to be caring and charming.

Because our mind has been manipulated to believe the issues in this abusive relationship

are our fault

SO we think WE can fix the issues and we just keep trying harder and harder.

Next week, we will talk about it some more and discuss

how to get out of an abusive relationship and the painful process of recovering

from an abusive relationship

So, here it is, as promised,

you get my vulnerability and every week we together

can talk about our feelings that don't qualify your life or MY LIFE

to be Facebook picture-perfect.

That's what #VulnerabilityAccountability Thursday's are for.

or specifically Gaslighting and Projection

In the late 80's, Japan was importing

fewer cars to the U.S.

To make up for lost sales, the main Japanese automakers

introduced luxury brands

that could be sold

(cash register dings)

for more money.

Thus, Infiniti, Lexus, and Acura were born.

Honda based Acura's models on existing Honda platforms,

but the Integra wasn't just a Civic with a body kit,

no, sir.

The Integra had disc brakes on all four wheels,

re-tuned suspension, and,

oh, yeah, pop-up headlights.

It was also powered by a new

dual-overhead cam inline-4.

The Integra was pure and simple fun.

In the first gen's four years,

Acura sold almost a quarter of a million of them.

The second gen Integra arrived in 1990,

Just like Jonathan Lipnicki.

- Do you know bees and dogs can smell fear?

- It had a bigger engine,

an independent double-wishbone suspension,

which would become a signature Integra feature.

In 1992, Acura gave us the Integra GSR,

and helped usher in

the most legendary tech in the land of Honda.

(engine roaring sharply)

- [Commercial Announcer] Honda.

VTEC.

- What is VTEC, you ask, grandma?

Well, it stands for variable valve timing

and lift electronic control.

I can see why they shortened it a little.

Here's how it works.

Each cylinder has three intake lifters

instead of two, like a normal engine.

While you're cruising along,

taking it easy, the two outside lifters

are riding on a pretty mellow cam profile.

The valves aren't open for very long,

which saves gas.

But, once you put your

foot down,

oil pressure engages some pins hiding

in that extra middle lifter, and all hell breaks loose!

The lifters get locked into a more radical cam profile,

letting more air and gas into the cylinder,

which means, more power!

VTEC just kicked in, yo!

Bah!

This genius technology made it feel like

you had two different engines in your car.

A little, efficient baby one,

for driving your grandma to her boyfriend's house,

and a fire-breathing monster,

for when you want to scare the crap out of him!

Dude, Troy, I get it.

Gram-gram looks great, for a woman her age,

but if you break her heart, I swear to God,

I'ma break your neck!

The TEC-E got even better in '94,

with the release of the third generation.

It had an all-new chassis,

with the new 1.8-liter VTEC motor,

making more horsepower.

And, the refreshed front end

featured the now iconic twin headlights.

While other luxury brands like Cadillac, Mercedes,

even Infiniti, were making big, boxy couches on wheels,

Acura was turning their image of luxury vehicle

into more of a sports car.

In 1995, Acura made the GSR even sportier,

with more aggressive suspension, a spoiler,

and badges, to let people know...

Hey!

This is a freakin' GSR!

But the best was yet to come.

Because, in 1997, Acura gave us what some might say

is the greatest front-wheel drive car

of all time.

The Integra Type R.

Simply put, the Integra Type R

was a bombshell in the import scene.

Acura abandoned all pretenses of luxury,

to prove that they could make the best

sports car in all of the land.

Its entire function

was to be as light and as rigid as possible.

It didn't have A/C or a sunroof.

No cruise control, or rear wipers.

Acura was so focused on cutting weight,

that the Type R didn't even have vanity mirrors

in the visors.

This thing was a race car.

They freaking seam-welded it.

Google seam welding.

It's thing they do to race cars.

Putting the Type R on a diet

made it 140 pounds lighter

than the GSR.

In the U.S., the Type R was only available

in championship white from '97 to '98.

The car disappeared in '99, just like my dad.

- You'd know I'd take you with me, if I could.

(car tires screech)

- But, when it came back in 2000,

you could also get it in black,

It's named after the freakin' bird

that died and came back on fire.

Dumbledore's pet!

Jean Grey!

Wolverine's girlfriend!

Also, Cyclops's wife?

The DC2 Type R got its power from a very special motor.

The B18C5.

It had a lighter flywheel.

The connecting rods were torqued by hand.

The intake ports were hand-polished.

That meticulous attention to detail

is usually reserved for big-time race cars,

which makes sense because,

that's what the Type R had become.

Acura even had the piston skirts coated with mol...

Molydb,

denium.

Molybdenium?

but it sounds like a freakin' X-Men metal.

And I want Wolverine claws made out of it,

to reduce friction as I'm stabbing through my enemies.

Watch out, dad!

Baby's got molybdenum.

(claws screeching)

With the Type R and NSX in their stable,

Acura was now the leader in Japanese performance.

Even though they were supposed to be a luxury brand.

The U.S. got a totally redesigned Integra in 2002.

While it was still called the Honda Integra back in Japan,

Acura decided to give all of their cars

boring alphanumeric designations instead of real names.

The Integra was now the RSX.

The RSX was completely new, from the ground up.

Acura designed the car with a

more mature market buyer in mind.

Someone with their shit together,

just like Craig, Jessica's new husband.

It no longer had

double wishbone double wishbone suspension,

which is kind of what made the Integra so special.

But, critics still praised the car's spirited handling.

In the U.S., the RSX was available in two trim levels.

The bass-making 160 horsepower,

and the RSX Type S, making 200 from the awesome K20A2.

It's a great engine, if you put it in a Civic.

The U.S. did not get an RSX Type R,

which sucks, because Japan did, and it was really sweet.

The new Integra Type R in Japan

was a continuation of Honda's proud Type R tradition.

It came with Brembo four piston disc brakes.

Red Recaro seats.

A new LSD,

a Momo steering wheel.

And, like the Type R of the 90's,

it didn't have any vanity mirrors,

because you know you look dope as hell,

'cause you're driving an Integra Type-R!

It got its power from the K20A.

It had a new version of VTEC, that,

on top of liftered stuff,

could also tune its ignition timing on the fly.

The result was a smoother power delivery,

putting down 217 horsepower.

In 2005, the RSX got an updated exterior,

including a new spoiler, and Enkei wheels, which is cool.

And, in the power department,

the Type S got a new cam shaft.

- Oh, I love it when you say cam shafts.

Whisper it to me.

- Cam shaft, and exhaust package,

giving it 10 more horsepower.

It had more bark, and more bite.

So much so, that Car and Driver called it The Top Dog

in its class.

The RSX ended production in 2006.

It marked the end of two-door sport coupes

in Acura's lineup.

Honda was free to export as many cars

as they wanted to the U.S.,

and didn't need to make up for the gaffe

with Acura, anymore.

The new Civic SI was very similar to the RSX, but cheaper.

There just wasn't room for the RSX anymore.

Today, the tuner scene

is a weird mish-mash of drifting,

time attack, and stance cars.

But, it wasn't always like that.

The Integra was a stand-out car,

from a forgotten time.

People are always talking about the heavy hitters,

like the Supra, RX7, GTR, and even the NSX.

But, the Integra earned a claim

from critics and drivers alike,

by being a really great car.

It was focused, it was simple,

Audi RS4 Avant (B8) buying advice - Duration: 7:45.

We're ending an era with this car,

the era of big naturally aspirated engines in the performance version of relatively normal cars.

This is an Audi A4, yet it isn't.

The RS4 makes most people happy.

It always fits into your life, regardless of you being single or having a family.

You want a fast and roomy wagon.

The RS6 is a size bigger, but this one is fine too.

This is the last one with a nice naturally aspirated engine.

It's a 4.2-liter engine with 444 hp. It sounds nice too.

This car doesn't have a stock exhaust, though.

This is the B8 generation of the RS4. We're at B9 with a V6 biturbo now, which is great.

However, this is very different.

It's still a good-looking, modern car and the performance is still good.

ENGINES gasoline

This explains the prices. An RS4 isn't as affordable as an Aygo or Up!.

Prices on AutoTrack are 50,000-70,000 euros. About 10 are for sale.

I thought more RS4 were sold than RS5, but more RS5 are for sale on AutoTrack; about 20.

PRICES minimum, maximum

Many things to watch out for with this car also apply to the RS5 and, to some extend, the S4.

This is a different machine. It's wider, has a wider track, and it looks cool.

That's a good summery. It looks cool.

The first and only real alternative I thought of is another Audi, the RS6.

It's fast, roomy, and has all-wheel drive as well.

There's a C63 AMG estate or wagon, but it has rear-wheel drive only.

A fast BMW wagon is the 335i or 340i, but these fall short.

The M3 sedan could be an alternative, but it's less practical.

The Audi has its own niche with the RS4 Avant.

What should you watch out for if you want to buy one?

It's not as bad as I thought.

The engine has a problem with carbon deposits on the inlet.

Most direct-injection engines have this problem.

To prevent carbon deposits it helps to change the oil regularly and use premium fuel.

You can have the inlet cleaned with walnut shells.

That's a good thing to do with a higher-mileage car.

If your RS4 has lost power and doesn't rev well, the inlet could be dirty.

A big thing to watch out for, the RS4 and RS5's Achilles' heel, is the transmission.

This is a 7-speed double-clutch S tronic.

The transmission should shift fast and smoothly. It should work well.

There have been problems with the early models.

The circuit board, called the Mechatronic unit, was faulty and needed to be replaced.

Worst case, the transmission needed replacing or rebuilding. That's expensive.

Keep in mind that the transmission needs to shift fast and smoothly.

About the body. This is a potent car, which means you need to look out for damages.

Another, smaller thing is the drainage at the windshield.

It can get clogged, so clean it from time to time; remove the leaves.

When it starts to leak, it leaks on some electronics; the computers located under the ledge.

I don't know if you tried chucking a computer or a phone in water to see what happens.

That doesn't always end up well. It causes errors.

The rails of the panoramic roof needs greasing from time to time.

Audi has special stuff for this. It's probably expensive, but you should do it anyway.

Preventively too; every 100,000 km (62,000 miles)

to make sure the panoramic roof opens and closes properly.

If it doesn't open and close properly, it can get stuck. That's a bigger problem. It's a complex roof.

The undercarriage is sturdy, but look at what kind of tires it has.

We often say it with these cars: it should have good tires.

If it has strange off-brand tires, the car may not have been well maintained.

The steel brakes and pads aren't great. They squeak and wear fast.

You may want to choose something else. There are plenty suppliers, so you can find something better.

The electronics are reliable, but do check if everything works.

It has power seats, a panoramic roof, satnav, etc.

It can get expensive if something's wrong, so take your time to check everything.

The final thing is the electronic parking brake. Sometimes it doesn't release.

You can release it eventually, but it's an annoying problem.

You're not going anywhere with the parking brake on. It'll be hard to move without help.

This car is black on black.

It looks sinister, which suits it.

2018 Goals | GoalGetter vlog - 01/04/18 - Duration: 7:22.

With a platform called GoalGetter, it only makes sense for me to talk about my

goals that I'm setting for the new year. So let's get started!

Every year I set

goals in seven areas: financial, spiritual, physical, social, career, family, and

intellectual. In order to be a well-rounded person, I think it's

important to be mindful of all of these areas, but what I have learned from past

experience is if you set really ambitious goals in all of those areas, it

can be a bit overwhelming. So what I'm trying out for 2018, is I'm going to be

setting ambitious goals in only three of the areas and then for the rest of them,

the goals will still be...they'll still be challenging, but they'll be a little bit

easier to achieve. So I'm going to go through the four areas that I'm setting

my less ambitious goals first, and then I'm going to talk to you about the goals

that I'm setting for my big three this coming year. First I'll talk about the

financial goals that we've got. A lot of the numbers are a

little bit personal for my husband and I, so I'm not going to be sharing exactly

what that is, but we do have goals for the amount of income that we're gonna

make this coming year. And we also do plan to pay down all of our debt in 2018.

The next less ambitious goal that I have, but it's still going to be challenging,

is in the knowledge and intellectual area. I spent a lot of time focusing on

the knowledge and intellectual area for my goals for the past three years,

and got an MBA! So I'm putting that on the back burner for a while. So for 2018

my knowledge and intellectual goal is reading one book a month.

I really have wanted to be an avid reader for a long time so I

think this will get me in the right direction there. The next goal that I

have is in the social area. I want to spend time with friends four times a

month. This is still a challenging goal for me because it's something that I

struggle with prioritizing even though I desperately want to. So I want to spend

time with friends four times a month the last less ambitious goal that I have is

in the career area. I want to keep my place of employment private.

I want to make sure that I'm not sharing anything that could reveal that, so the

goals for my actual workplace-not gonna tell you those but I do see GoalGetter

as a part of my career in my future so I have set goals for GoalGetter! I would

like to reach 1,000 subscribers whether that be by email, by Facebook, or on

Instagram, I would like to reach that number. And then, also I would like to

attend two professional development events in the year. So whether that be a

leadership conference, or a conference in my professional area, I would like to

network with people that have similar interests. All right, so now let's get

into the "big three," the three areas that I really want to prioritize in 2018. So

the goals I set in these areas are going to be a lot more challenging

for me. First is physical: you guys know from my "Being active while in the workplace"

post that I really enjoy working out. So these are my goals for this physical

area. I want to complete a 21 day fix, and go through Whole30 again. Matt and I did

it in 2017 and we experienced a lot of benefits, so I want to do that again. I

want to run three half marathons. I want to work out five days a week, and I want

to go to bed by 9:00 p.m. I've never prioritized my sleep. So it's

something that I'm really gonna try to do this year. A quick note about

the physical: I have loved working out since I was a teenager and you know, if

you have never really prioritized your physical health before, and you think

that the goals that I'm setting seem crazy ambitious, I want you to be

encouraged by knowing that this has been a multi-year process. Two years ago, I

prioritized physical, and I wanted to I set a goal to work out three days a week,

and I met that goal. So then the next year, last year, I decided I wanted to try

to work out four days a week, and I met that. I really want to continue this

multi-year process, and see if I can hit this goal of working out five days a

week, and just see what that looks like for me. If the physical area has not been

a priority for you, I would recommend choosing goals that are a baby step for

you. Something that you can comfortably and easily hit. Don't compare your goals

to anybody else's goals. These are for you, these are for your own self

development. The next area that's going to be a big

priority for me in 2018 is family. That's something that my husband and I have

talked about a lot. We want to make sure that our family and our future for our

family is always top priority. For 2018, what we've got planned is we want to go

on four mini-vacations throughout the year. We're gonna try to do one a quarter.

And by mini-vacations, I just mean, like, long weekends away, four days away,

something like that. And we also want to do two mini-vacations with our parents,

so we can get some time away with them. Because we want to make sure that we're

prioritizing these really important people in our lives. And then the last

family goal is that I want to make sure that my husband and I have a date night

every Friday. This is something we've prioritized since we were dating and we

wanted to make sure that once we got married, we carried that on. Because, you

guys probably know this, but, you never want to stop dating your spouse. It's

super important to make sure that you're treating them like they're special even

after you're married. And the last and most important of the "big three" is my

spiritual goals that I have. So you guys know I haven't kept it a secret that I

am a Christian, I'm a believer. So I want to make sure that I am prioritizing my

Lord above all else. So my spiritual goals are very important

to me. My first one is that I want to read my Bible 20 days out of the month

ultimately. I'd like to read through the Bible in the year, and then I also want

to prayer journal 20 days out of every month. That's something that

I do personally. Not every Christian does it, but I like to do it because helps

stimulate my prayer. And then, lastly, I would like to memorize a chapter of the

Bible. I did that once right when I finished college, and it transformed my

mind in a way that I did not expect. Alright, so goals for 2018! I hope you

enjoy seeing these. I hope to check back throughout the year, and see how I'm

doing, if I'm hitting my targets, if you are interested in setting goals for

yourself, what I would recommend doing is checking out my ebook. I talk about

what good, actionable goals look like, and a good framework for that. Also, in the

corresponding blog post with this video, I give a little bit of a description

about each of the areas, so if you're sitting there thinking: "I don't know what

career goals to set," or something like that, if you look at my description in

the blog post, I give kind of a starter, and I have some questions that you can

ask yourself so that you can get started setting those goals. Thank you for

watching this video. Thumbs up and subscribe if you want to see every time

I post more videos. I do one every week. also check out my website it's

www.beagoalgetter.net you'll see all of my videos, all of my corresponding blog posts,

and you can actually subscribe via email so you'll get an email into your inbox

every time I post new content. And, as my free gift for email subscribers, you'll

How To Make Your Handshake a Powerful Tool - Duration: 3:49.

Hi, this is Rune from Next Level Progress. Today I'm gonna talk about the

power of having a signature handshake. Having a background as an extreme

introvert, I was often wondering about the handshake. What is the point of it, right?

You make handshake with everybody in the group,

but you don't even remember the names afterwards. So what was the purpose of it?

But then I switched it around, suddenly, and I thought: Wow! we all know that

first impressions lasts. We all know how powerful a first impression is. How can I

make the first impression powerful, because often the first impression you

get a person is the handshake, you come into a group we have to say hi to 20

people. How can you make it a handshake that stands out that makes a good

impression of you. So it started to get some interest in the handshake and of

course they have some basic things you need to do. First of all you need some

eye contact the person you give handshake. Secondly you need to good firm

handshake. But also something with a smile you're giving people. You shouldn't

smile immediately, you shouldn't come out like this: "Hi, nice meeting you". Because

then you'll come out as needy. You should start a warm smile to them, but it

should come slowly. You should say: "Hi, how are you doing." It should also be your unique this

smiley you are coming with, because if you copy the same smile for everybody they will

seed and see it is fake. But then I thought, I should have some kind of

personal trait to this handshake. And me personally I was really bad at

remembering names. I don't think that's unique in itself, but I also realized if

I repeated people names when I met them, the chances of me remembering was way

way higher. So I started my handshake like: "Hi, I am Rune". And then they would say

their name, and I would say: "could you please repeat that". "Oh Maria"

I would repeat their name and have an intense eye contact and then I went to

the next person. So what happened afterwards was magical. In the breaks of these

meetings people would come up to me and wanted to talk to me. I was wondering why

but obviously this hand she was doing two things to people. First of all, it

will make me stand out. But secondly, is more important, it had shown them I

had an interest in them. And this interest would spark something into them.

We would already have a connection together, and that's why it would come

up to me. When you start seeing the power and handshakes, you often start

noticing what other people are doing. And I remember once I was shaking this guy's

hand I thought: "wow, he really makes me feel important." But then he did something,

something that really blew my mind. He was making a small yank with his hand.

Signaling to me that I had to go along, and at first I was like: "how rude was

that." I was just feeling so great and why are you doing this. I thought maybe there

was a mistake. But then I met him again, and he did exactly the same thing. And

then I stopped wondering, what was that doing to me. I wanted to talk to him to

break. So I start preparing, and then I realized, I was preparing more than I do

usually to talk to anybody. So I was like: "why am I doing that?" But somehow

subconsciously I was conceiving his time is more valuable than mine, so I had to

prepare more. Somehow he had put in my head but his value was higher than mine.

He had already given me the gift of how good you can feel in his presence, and he

also signal with this thing that if you want more of that you need to find

something to bring to me, you need to bring me some kind of value, and I

accepted that. I accepted that he had high status and I had a bit lower. So

this is how powerful the handshake can be, those two three seconds you spend on

it. How much it can tell you subconsciously and how it can influence

people. So until next time, try to figure out your own personal touch in

your handshake and try to use it to your advantage, we all know that first

impressions last. Until next time, go out there and bring joy to the people.

What Are The Characteristics of an Entrepreneur - Duration: 9:22.

Have you ever wondered what it really takes to be an entrepreneur? What

characteristics do entrepreneurs have that nobody else has? Because I got to

tell you, they are a breed apart from everybody else.

My name is Marianne DeNovellis

and you are in the right place with the Six Figure Mastermind, let's go

ahead and dive right in.

Hey, it's Marianne DeNovellis here. Today, we're going to talk about what it takes

to be an entrepreneur. Now let's think about this for a moment.. Entrepreneur is

a big scary word for a lot of people, it means, I'm in charge of my own schedule, I'm in

charge my own pay, I'm in charge of my own time, I'm in charge of everything

that it means to bring an income into my family and that's part of the reason why

a very small percentage of our people in our country actually jump into

entrepreneurship, even though that's what our country was actually founded on

before there were people that were here to work for, there were people who

started the work, the entrepreneurs, people who started and said, "I want this

business" or "I want to create this" or "I'm going to solve this problem" and

entrepreneurs, if you have seen anything around social media nowadays, you know

that entrepreneurship is coming back and it's coming back in full swing so maybe

you're like one of our friends on YouTube that says, "I want to know how to

be an entrepreneur. I want to jump into it myself. I want to create this business

for myself. I want to be the master of my time. I want to be my own boss." Well, first,

you're going to know it's going to take a lot of work. I know that's kind of a fun word,

huh? We went to entrepreneurship because we were already having a lot of work but

entrepreneurship is the best kind of work and here's what I mean by that..

As an entrepreneur, you're going to need to be the able to do all of the elbow

grease stuff, you're going to have to be able to wear the accounting hat, you're

going to have to be able to wear this scheduling hat, you're going to have to be

able to wear the content management hat, you're going to have to wear the production

hat, you're going to have to be able to wear every single hat that is part of your

business and once you've mastered that skill, you get step number two. Step

number two is one of my favorite parts of entrepreneurship and you'll pretty

soon to understand why. Step number two is to hire out. Hire out what is not your

passion. You know, in every entrepreneur that I have watched or observed and in

my experience as an entrepreneur, there are things that I love and know how to

do and at the same time, there are things that I don't love and things that I know

still need to be done but that I can hire out to someone else.

One of the most valuable things you can do as an entrepreneur is get yourself an

assistant, someone who can help you with your scheduling, someone who can help you

with your books, someone can help you book your time, once you find yourself

finding that you have got so much on your plate yet you're finding that the

passion of the entrepreneurship is dwindling, most people at that point will

actually quit and go back to the job and maybe you've heard job as described as a

J-O-B, it's just over broke. A lot of people they're not broke financially,

they're broken here or they're broken here because they gave up and they

couldn't stand up under the weight of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship means

you get to have your own business and you get to create your own hours but it

also means you're going to have to put forth a lot of the work and here's the

beautiful step.. When you can get to that point where you find that your passion

is driving you yet you feel you have all of these things that you are bogged down

with, that's when you have outgrown that first level and you get to graduate to

business owner. There's a difference between being an entrepreneur and a

business owner.. When that business owner becomes your next step, you know you've

started to hire out some of your processes,

maybe you've hired out your photographer, maybe you've hired out your video team,

maybe you hired out your editing team, maybe you hired out your copywriting

team, maybe you hired out a new building so that you can be in a magnificent

building instead of in just your home. The more that you can hire out, not only

the more lives for you but providing more jobs, but you'll also be able to do

more of what you love which is why you started in the first place. Step number

three of being an entrepreneur, it's this concept of ready, fire, aim and really

that doesn't make a lot of sense to people who don't know what I'm talking

about so here's what I mean. When you have a missile on a rocket or an

airplane, the missile has what's called a guidance system on it. A guidance system

means that the missile can change routes no matter where in its trajectory it is,

that means you can program the destination of your rocket after you've

fired it. Now how does that translate into business? So many people would get

held back in their this by this thing called analysis

paralysis. Analysis paralysis means I'm thinking too much about the

logistics of what I want to do that I've lost vision of actually what it is.

Analysis paralysis is slamming on those brakes when you know that what you need

to do is take the next step forward, when you know what you want but don't know

the how, launch what you do know, start what you do have, create what you are

building and start from that foundation of building with what you've got so that

the how can fall into place. The last step of being an entrepreneur, a rockstar

entrepreneur and the characteristics of an entrepreneur is that you are training

up your replacements and we've talked about that a little bit before about

hiring out what you know isn't working for you, what you started do with doing

and that you now no longer do because you're so focused on writing your

passion, be willing to train up your replacements, rewind to early America 1700

and 1800's, we're looking at blacksmiths, we're looking at cobblers, we're looking

at leather workers, we're looking at all sorts of craftsmen who trained and

brought up their protegees in what they were doing. If you were a blacksmith, you

are a blacksmith because you love to be a blacksmith. If you are a cobbler, if you

were a cobbler because you loved to make shoes and you had a passion for that

design, if you're a dressmaker, you did it because you loved to make dress, if

you were a cotton baron, you did it at one point because cotton fascinated you

and maybe now it's time to train up your replacement. This is what it means to be

an entrepreneur, the characteristic of an entrepreneur is leaving a legacy, leaving

something that outlives you and one of the best ways to do that is to train up

your eventual replacements and that doesn't mean that you're leaving your

business, it doesn't mean that your business is over and through, it just

gives you the capability to have your legacy of what you have built continue

on so that you can level up to your next big calling. An entrepreneur knows their

purpose in life and that's a big statement, that's a pretty audacious

claim to stake, that an entrepreneur know their purpose but I'm going to invite

you to step into this understanding with me, their purpose in life, your purpose in

life is not some big ethereal idea, it's not some waiting for the angels to come

down and shed the light on you and say, "Here is your purpose." That's not how

it works. Your purpose in life is your passion,

it's what drives you, it's what creates happiness and joy when you accomplish it.

So your purpose may be now in this moment, you're just starting your

entrepreneurial journey, maybe you're like me and you were brand new parent

and part of your purpose in life is changing diapers, yeah, that's part of my

purpose in life right now because I've got a two-year-old that needs are bummed

to be clean but it's not going to be my purpose in life two years from now, four

years from now, my purpose in life is continually evolving. Now, I don't know

about you but in this beautiful state of Utah where we live, we have these amazing

seasons that come and go and maybe in the future we'll be recording our videos

from Hawaii which doesn't have that many seasons because that's where I'm

technically from in my heart, right. I want to talk about purpose as when it

comes to seasons. In the summertime, we love to wear flip-flops around here,

they're easy to put on, easy to take off and we can just jump in the pool at the

moment's notice, flip flops have a very specific purpose but fast forward into

fall and winter, they don't really serve that purpose very well. Your purpose

continually evolves and it continually changes because you are a being that

continually evolves and continually changes. An entrepreneur knows their

purpose, they act on their purpose and they help others find their purpose

through doing what they love every single day. Okay, now you can start

adopting these traits and make them part of who you are as a business owner or an

entrepreneur. You've got what it takes, remember that, keep in mind that you're

going to have to make these a habit every single day until it becomes as natural

to you as the sky is blue. Comment below, I want to know what you think is

important being an entrepreneur. Hit the subscribe button and I'll talk to you

tomorrow.

What Healthy Nails Look Like: What the Lunula of Your Nails Says about Your Health - Australia 365 - Duration: 6:25.

What Healthy Nails Look Like: What the Lunula of Your Nails Says about Your Health

Believe it or not, your fingernails can tell you a lot more about your health than you might think.

The crescent-shaped area at the base of your fingernail may indicate if you have some kind of health problem, even if you don't notice any other symptoms.

Pay attention to what the lunula of your nails might mean, because there are a lot of possible concerns that might be important.

What the lunula should look like on each finger.

Pinky finger lunula.

nearly invisible or non-existent. heart.

If you notice that your lunula is larger than normal, pay attention – it could be related to high blood pressure.

Ring finger lunula.

The lunula on your ring finger is related to your reproductive and lymphatic systems.

If its barely visible, it might indicate a problem related to your metabolism.

Middle finger lunula.

The lunula on your middle finger could be related to your brain function or cardiovascular system.

If you can't see the lunula on this finger, it could indicate a potential problem with your blood vessels or high blood pressure.

Index finger lunula.

The lunula on this finger could disappear or be nearly diminished due to a malfunction in your intestine, pancreas, or a chronic disease related to your upper respiratory tract.

Lunula on the thumb.

This lunula is related to the function of your lungs and spleen.

It's the largest of the five and should take up no more than 25% of the entire length of your nail bed.

If you find that it's smaller, it could be due to tobacco use.

If it's larger than this size, it may be due to high blood pressure.

Is it large?.

If you're not sure if your lunula is too large or small, it's worth remembering that a lunula is considered large when it takes up a third of your entire nail.

This could indicate problems with your cardiovascular system, changes in heart rate, or low blood pressure.

Its also seen in people who do heavy physical activity for work or are under a lot of stress.

Is it small?.

A lunula is considered to be small when it cannot be seen or barely extends beyond the surface of the cuticle.

This could indicate low blood pressure or circulatory problems, as well as a weak immune system, slow metabolism, and an iron or vitamin B12 deficiency.

If you notice that your lunula are clearly isolated with a transversal line to the rest of the nail, you could be having blood sugar problems or developing diabetes.

Invisible lunula.

Keep in mind that sometimes you might not be able to see your lunula, but it doesn't mean they're not there.

If it has truly disappeared, however, it could be a problem with your circulation.

The absence of a lunula could be related to thyroid problems, a lack of vitamin B12, or an iron deficiency.

Color changes in the lunula.

This shade can also be related to problems with digestion and a difficulty absorbing nutrients.

A white lunula indicates that everything is in order, as this is the natural color.

Remember that your lunula should be several shades lighter than your skin tone.

If your lunula is more violet in color, it could be a sign of poor circulation and a lack of oxygen in your organs and tissues.

Pink or red lunula may indicate low levels of physical activity and lung problems.

Finally, if you notice that your lunula are black in color, it's a symptom of heavy metal contamination.

If this occurs, see a doctor immediately.

Homemade Sauerkraut | Probiotic Foods | Eat for Happiness - Duration: 7:16.

Happy new year to all of my beautiful friends and family

I hope you've spent the holiday season just the way you wanted to

I had a beautiful time with my family and my friends

and now it's time to get back in the kitchen, which I've been neglecting for several weeks

and today I will make a fresh batch of sauerkraut. Which I always have in my fridge

today I will be sharing with you

the way I always make it. Using red cabbage

you can use white cabbage, no problem

I will be using some carrots, daikon radish, which is optional

salt and cumin seeds. Sometimes I like to use fennel seeds

If you don't like the flavor, leave them out

you will need a large clean jar

and a smaller jar with some beans or rice, which you will use as a weight

a clean piece of cloth. Cheese cloth or something like that and some rubber bands

to me the most efficient way to cut up my veggies is with a food processor

And I don't know if you have the same at home, but my food processor has these discs

which you can use to slice your veggies or grate them

so I will slice my cabbage on the thinnest setting

and I will grate my carrots and daikon radish

before we continue I have a few side notes

If you don't like the peppery bitter taste of daikon radish, just leave it out

basically all you need to make sauerkraut is cabbage and salt

any of the other ingredients that I'm using are optional

and what's also very important, i can't stress this enough,

you have to use clean utensils

the bowl, the jar, the spoons, your hands have to be really clean

I like to use the hottest setting on my dishwasher to sterilize my utensils

You can also pour some boiling water to make sure that all germs are gone

we only want the good germs in there

let's continue. We're going to add some salt

I will need about a tablespoon

I will add half a tablespoon on top

and then massage sthis in

just mix this really well. It's a bit of a messy job

but you have to make sure that all of your salt is well incorporated

and now I'm adding another half a tablespoon

now I'm getting a little bit more serious with my cabbage

and give it a nice firm massage

just make sure that the liquids of your veggies are getting out

when the salt has reached all of the corners of your bowl, add some cumin seeds

this is about a teaspoon

and give it one last mix

after your cabbage has received all of that tender love it deserves

You just cover it up with a clean tea towel

and leave it on the counter for about one hour

you want the liquids to come out and the cabbage will get much softer. So I'll see you in an hour

the cabbage has been sitting on the counter for about one hour

And we're going to give it another firm massage and we're going to squeeze out all of the water

as much as we can

My jar has been sitting on the counter waiting for some action

Let's stuff the jar with our cabbage

this will be quite a messy job

It's a miracle, but I managed to put all of my cabbage in here

I could have used a slightly larger jar, but that's okay

so all of the liquid that's in there is from the cabbage. I haven't added any water

I will add the last bit of my cabbage water

You want your cabbage to be covered with it's own liquid and nothing has to peak out

if the vegetables come in contact with air

fungus will grow ont it and you can throw out the entire batch

if you don't have as much liquid as I do

just put a jar in here

so it will weigh down the cabbage and the water will come up

I'm not even sure that's English, but I hope you understand what I mean

the cabbage is ready to ferment now. If you're using a jar, just leave it in there and

cover your jar with a piece of cloth and fix it with a rubber band

I'm not using an extra jar

so I'll just cover it with a piece of cloth and fix it with a rubber band

And now it's ready to sit in a dark space

something like a cupboard

or a dark place in your kitchen

and you can let it ferment for three to five days

maybe longer, I've never tried it longer

keep an eye on it every day. Make sure that the veggies al under the water level

that there's no fungus growing on it

you will see little bubbles coming to the surface

that's how you know that the good bacteria are doing their work

sauerkraut is my favorite way to get in all those

amazing probiotics. I put it on top of everything

and usually take a bite before every meal

just to keep my digestion going

I hope you enjoyed this video

If you have any questions about fermenting

just write your comments down below and I really hope to see you in my next video

bye

How To Get Rid of Dry itchy Skin in Winter - Dry itchy Skin - Duration: 3:35.

How To Get Rid of Dry itchy Skin in Winter Eczema can occur at any time of the year, but the winter season can cause outbreaks of eczema and cause many problems. Eczema or atopic dermatitis is a chronic skin disease. If you have eczema, you may have to deal with symptoms such as intense itching (especially at night), dry and scaly patches of red to brownish gray and small bumps that can shed fluid and crust if scratched. These symptoms tend to get worse in the winter. 1. Maintain an Even Temperature The skin tends to react to sudden changes in temperature, especially during the winter. For example, when you enter a warm house on a cold winter day or vice versa, the skin can not handle it properly. In fact, the sudden change of temperature contributes to the dryness of the skin and to the sensations of itching. This can worsen the symptoms of eczema. 2. Use a humidifier You should keep your home at a comfortable temperature that is not too hot or too cold, with a humidity level between 45 and 55 percent to prevent the skin from drying out. If the humidity in your home is too low, use a humidifier to help re-add moisture into the air. You can buy a humidifier or simply keep a container of water in each room to help increase the humidity in the air. No matter what you decide to use, keep it clean to prevent mold growth. 3. Apply moisturizer often Moisturizers are essential at any time of the year. But in the winter, you need to use a thick one and apply it more often. Using the right moisturizer is one of the best ways to deal with outbreaks of eczema. When using a moisturizer, pay more attention to your hands and face, as they are more often exposed to cold, dry air. It is best to apply moisturizers and oils when the skin is still wet after a bath or shower to seal off moisture. Make sure you hydrate your skin more than once a day. 4. Choose the right clothes As the temperature drops, we tend to cover ourselves with layers of clothing. Hats, scarves, gloves, sweaters, and socks are essential to protect from the cold. But those who suffer from eczema should avoid items made of wool. Another important point is that you should remove wet clothes and shoes immediately as they can irritate your skin and worsen your symptoms. 5. Protect your skin from the sun During the winter months, the sun can soothe the skin. But the fact that the temperature is low does not mean that you can skip the sunscreen. Even on a cloudy day, if you are outside for long periods of time, you can burn with the sun. This, in turn, can worsen the symptoms of eczema. 6. Drink lots of water Keeping your body hydrated from the inside helps keep your skin hydrated. This, in turn, will help prevent outbreaks of eczema during the winter months. Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. You will know that your body is well hydrated if your urine is clear. To increase your water consumption, you do not have to simply limit yourself to water. Cut some lemons or other citrus fruits and add them to the water to obtain a mild flavor. In addition, fruits and vegetables rich in water content help a lot to keep your body hydrated.

What Are Personal Core Values? My Journey To Confidence (Part 1/3) - Duration: 5:21.

So what our personal core values? It took me so long to finally figure out

what this is and in this video I'm gonna be sharing with you what I've learned

recently and how by incorporating core values into my life it's given me more

confidence in myself and I have had in a very long time.

Welcome back guys, Jesse here. Another week another video. Second video of 2018

Thank you so much for joining me today. Its so great to see all of you here again.

So gonna be talking about personal values today and this is gonna be one of

a three-part series and yeah today it's just gonna be about what are values so

without further ado let's get right into it

Now I've actually struggled with confidence my whole life. I actually

thought that confidence is a bad thing until I was in my 20s. I couldn't

comprehend the difference between confidence and arrogance. Why? Well

because English isn't my first language. Japanese is actually my first language. I

grew up there. 12 years to be exact. And over there a outward expression of

confidence is actually frowned upon. Total flip to here in North America. So

when I moved to Canada and Hawaii and I was openly told to "Hey, you got to be

more confident", I was like...

Huh?

It took years for me to finally figure it out that

confidence is actually something that is very helpful and could help me achieve

my goals like getting better with women and feeling more at ease and feeling

safer when I am out in public and being better with women.

The only problem was is that no matter how

many books I read how many articles that I studied how many courses I went to I

nothing ever seemed to click. It all just seemed way too vague. Like hey you want

to say this and you want to act like this and

you want to wear this. Nothing clicked. I mean it just wasn't me. I mean who is me?

Who am i? What am I? What?

So fast track I'm 34 now and last year I get

introduced to a concept called values and at first I was like, "Values? Huh?" But

the deeper I went into values I feel like I finally started to reach that

answer that I had been searching for for so long. So my understanding of values is

that it is something that is important to me which I choose to act upon. So

caring is something that is important to me and I acted upon that the other day

Costco by helping a family pick up the groceries that had fallen out of their

shopping cart courage is another value another really important value and that

an action would be doing cliff jumping even though I am terrified of falling

and doing sky diving as well. And what I realized is that when I acted based on

those values I felt great and when I didn't act on my values I felt really

really bad. Now the two values that I have the hardest time acting on is

courage and honesty. Being that I used to be a people pleaser hard core, it is really

uncomfortable to be honest and express my feelings whether it be whether I am

upset or when I find a girl attractive and to say hey I find you attractive

What I can say though is that when I have actually acted when I have brought

up the courage to say whatever it is that I need to say and to be honest

that afterwards I have just felt fantastic and that made me realize is

that confidence doesn't come before the action but it has to come afterwards

which kind of falls in line with values. So that's what values are to me ladies

and gents. I hope I was able to explain that concept

to you in a way that a little easier to understand I mean I know it took me

forever to understand it so that's just me practicing explaining it as well. If

you do have any questions leave it down below and I'd be more than happy to

explain it in the best way that I can. Or if you have something else that you've

learned about values feel free to share it down below. I'm wanting to grow more

and become more confident and if you have any insight more than welcome. Next

week I'm gonna be talking about the difference between values and goals and

how they've had a massive impact on my life just being able to know the

difference between them and which one I chose to focus. If you want to make sure

you catch that video then consider subscribing

and there's also this little Bell notification thing maybe you want to

click that too but yeah either way I will see you all next week my name is

Jesse see you then later
