Waching daily Mar 1 2018

Alright, friends.

Kris Krohn here with Limitless Wealth TV and today we're talking about the best markets

to invest in, specifically in Indianapolis.

Alright, so we're here to talk about the best markets to invest in and today I want to talk

about Indianapolis and why Indianapolis?

Well, I want to share with you that when you get your real estate operation big enough,

like mine is, to really do nationwide investing, the reality is most markets are not ideal

markets to invest in.

Often, your backyard is not the best place to invest in.

If you have a high cost of living or if you're in an area where real estate is just jumped

in value and you're like, "Kris, how do I buy a half a million dollar home in San Bernandino?

Kris, how do I buy a million dollar home in New York" And the reality is, if you're in

any kind of market like that, I don't recommend that, I recommend that you go where the markets

are hot.

That doesn't have to mean get on a plane because all of a sudden that becomes really unrealistic

if you're a brand new investor in fact, a lot of people that come and click our website

up here, one of the things that they realize is, we can show you how to invest successfully

in your backyard using like me lease option system or access my personal power team and

we'll take you to the nation's hottest markets like Indianapolis.

So let's talk about it for a little bit.

So here's a couple things that you need to know as far as the big macro economics of

what makes this such a special economy versus a lot of the other markets.

So Indianapolis is right in the heart of the midwest.

Population, 1.9 million people.

It is known as the crossroads of America, it is the number one passer for highways as

you're crossing from east to west.

Now what's interesting about this location is that population is slated to grow at 15%

year over year over year until the year 2050.

Now just think about that for a minute.

An area like that that is expected to get a lot of growth where as others are getting

minimal growth, what is that growth and population mean?

It always means we're going to need more houses and it also means that we can't build a must

in the cost of build or the rebuild value which means what?

As long as you're in an area that's always being forced to build more real estate, it's

going to do what to the prices?

What it did decades ago for New York and California and areas like that as it bottoms up that

price.

Now also what makes us unique is that it's an attractive market because the cost of living

is 11% lower than other midwest properties.

It's also ranked in the overall midwest the number one business climb.

Number 6 in the nation which means that there's a lot of people and there's a lot of businesses

and when big businesses move in to areas like that in the midwest, they bring with them

part of that boomin' population and part of that growth.

So for all of those different reasons, that makes Indianapolis a really attractive market.

Let's dive in now and take a look at some of the properties and what that means because

I've got a team set up, I've got booths on the ground with one of my companies n what

they do is, they go through the auctions, they'll use the MLS, all these systems and

they'll come through all homes on the market and they're going to cherry pick the very

best deals.

They cherry pick for me, my clients, and now they can cherry pick for you as well.

Let's see what's so interesting about this.

Alright, so up here on my website and one of the things that I'm looking at is a 4-bedroom

2-bathroom home.

Now this home is located at 263 Fenster Dr, Indianapolis and the purchase price on this

that we got it for and that we're making available to our clients for is a $122,000.

Now first of all, are we below the median?

Yes, the medians are in $200,000 and $220,000.

We're almost a $100,000 below.

What does that mean?

It means that when the market course corrects, which by the way, economic winter will always

come, it's part of the Kondratieff cycle, real estate will step into that but that affects

things at and above the median.

Something this far below the median, it's still going to be a cash out, still going

to work.

This is a house built in 1974, little bit of an older home and we're looking at 1,588

square feet.

Now what make this home attractive for me is that real estate, when I'm picking an investment

property, it's not an emotional experience.

My emotions are connected to my dreams and my dreams motivate me, my dreams of helping

people motivate me.

Real estate do not mix the emotions in there, instead what we want to do is we want to look

at the numbers and here's what the numbers dictate on this house.

The average annual return on this is going to be 19.77%.

Now that's huge if you think about that.

Imagine compounding that year over year over year.

You know, the stock market's trying to get a few percent a year, your bank account is

getting .00 whatever low percent, right?

Inflation is working against those low interest rates at 3% to 4% which means that if your

money is earning 3% or 4%, then inflation is squashing that down to nothing which is

why those investments can't get you where you need to go.

However, if you take a look at real estate here that's doing 19.77%, this is a projection,

we're not looking back and saying this is a known because as a property, it hasn't been

purchased but we're comparing it to thousands of other deals and out experience on the 350

homes we've done in the last decade and we end up being fairly spot on when it comes

to out projected ROI's.

The other thing to note on this is what I call a cash on cash return.

If I'm going to put on a 20% downpayment, if I'm going to buy this property, then just

on my money, what am I going to get?

Not overall ROI, not growth, not that stuff, just what's my cash on cash return.

By the way, I've shot another video showing you how to calculate that.

It's one of the important numbers that I look at when I'm investing in something and on

this property, the cash on cash is 11.1%.

That's after repairs, property management, maintenance and things like that that are

projected out vacancies.

So if you look at that, that just on your money alone, 11% and then you're overall ROI

just shire 20%, that's one of the things that makes Indianapolis for us a really good market.

Now if you go to Indianapolis on your own and you're not calming through all the properties

as we are, you're not going to find ROI's like this unless you get lucky because you're

calming through so much but your ROI's on average will be better than if you were just

to pick any random backyard because I want to be in the 5 hottest markets in the United

States at any given moment.

Let's look at just one more property here.

Okay, this is a nice attractive little guy.

This is a home built in 1999 so it's a fairly new home and this is a house that's a 3-bedroom

2-bathroom, I really like that tree in front of the house.

I like trees, I'm from Washington.

And then the purchase price is $89,000 so we're under a hundred thousand.

Now look at how far below the median we are and remember, we're never wanting to do a

2-bedroom or lower so we're at that minimum rate we're at an $89,000, 3 bedrooms, this

is at 6147 Wildcat Drive and this is a newer home, it's juts 1,368 square ft.

Now on this little guy, the average return we're calculating is 15.69% so again we're

crushing it, imagine compounding that from 10 years and then our average cash on cash

return on this is 9.26%.

Okay, these are fantastic properties.

I'm telling you right now that if you're buying real estate like this and you compound it,

grown over 10 years with this short-term buy and hold strategy that we talk about so often

on my channel here, then that what it equates to for you is turning a little bit of money

into a lot of money.

Remember, there are no guarantees, there's no guarantees you'll leave and wake up and

get out of bed this morning but I'll tell you what..

There is a guarantee in real estate that if you work an effort enough and if you play

it intelligently and if you have the right team and the right system, that you will give

yourself the best likelihood of success.

Friends, that's today's episode on why Indianapolis as one of our nation's hot markets.

How to Build Your Business with Online Video – Interview with Sue Ferreira - Duration: 34:11.

Do you ever wonder if you're just too old to do this? You know at this point

your life that it's kind of silly or maybe selfish to pursue your dreams? I

know a lot of us as entrepreneurs we're in the second act of our lives where

we've had another career or another business and now we're reinventing

ourselves and doing something totally new and if you've ever had those

thoughts of should I be doing this is this really possible then you're going

to love today's episode because our guest today is an amazing entrepreneur

who totally reinvented herself in her 60s and now has a thriving business, an

amazing story, and she's even been featured on video a Gary Vee and she

also happens to be one of my most favorite people on the planet.

Hey there i'm Nafissa Shireen, success coach a business strategist for

entrepreneurs and welcome to Living Forward TV where we help you to create a

thriving business you absolutely love all around your personal freedom. You

know I work with a lot of entrepreneurs who've had a successful previous career

and are looking to replicate that incredible success after their

nine-to-five but making that leap takes a ton of courage and that's why I'm so

excited about our guest today, Sue Ferreira because she has successfully

made that leap at what many people may consider to be later in life and after

today's episode your definition of later is definitely going to change because

you see you're never too old to start a new venture. It was in her 60s that Sue

transformed her world from anesthesiologist to entrepreneur so

welcome to Living Forward TV

-I am just honored to be here, Nafissa.

-I am I'm really excited that you came to see us today and before we get

into our episode I wanted to share with our viewers a little bit of how we met

because I I'm known for speaking and I get out and speak a lot but I'm always

nervous when I go and speak and so I like to find somebody that I can zero in

on and connect with and you were that person for that one talk and unlike all

the other talks that I've been on we ended up creating a beautiful friendship.

-Yeah, and it has been a beautiful friendship and will continue to be.

-I know and I'm so glad to have met you and you've been such a support and

encouragement for me I mean I actually might not even have had this youtube

show if it weren't for Sue literally kicking me in the butt get on video

and so we have so much to cover here today and I know it's going to be an

amazing time but before we get into all the juicy details what I'd like to ask

you which I ask all our guests is what does Living Forward mean to you?

-Good question, living forward, for me it means that we all have a future and you

you already mentioned in the introduction that you know you're never

too old to start a venture. Well I'm hitting 71 next year and for me living

forward is looking forward to my next 30 to 40 years

and that's one of the reasons I got into this in the first place so me living

forwards is the excitement of the next few decades.

-I love it because you

are you've already got your hundredth birthday planned yes and you're the

first person to get me thinking about the fact that oh my goodness I'm going

to live past 100 with all the technology and advances happening today so that

really gets us to a lot of what we're gonna talk about today and I know you've

spoken about it in a lot of talks about all the rapid changes that you you see

and that we see swirling around us. Tell us a little bit about them and how you

feel it's going to influence in the years to come.

-I think it's, and this is this

is you're right, you've heard you've heard me speak we often speak in similar

events at the same events and I think it is transformational what is coming up is

going to change us in so many ways. And it's funny as I came out of medicine

about three years ago I was blown away because we were we're treating 95, 96

year old ladies because sadly at the moment, most of the men are gone at that stage, but we're

treating them and putting in new hips and new knees and these ladies that

going concerns and that is now and with some of the technology coming down the

pipe which is going to reverse aging probably and even bring in that scary

immortality and I'm not completely whacko saying that you know really what

you want to do in the future has changed totally because the chances are you're

going to be there you're going to be there well into the future and do

something you love.

-And I think that is such an important thing for for all of

us to consider especially as entrepreneurs because I think a lot of

times we're not thinking about our retirement which may not even exist now

and are we thinking about you know creating income well past our our 60s or

about that freedom 55 pace right to be able to be creating that income.

-You've just hit the nail on the head and you've you've hit two of the big

issues I mean one of them is we're gonna have time so we can do what we want to

often you know our first careers we've we've done them and we've both made a

transition to new careers and so you have the opportunity to do something you

might always wanted to do and you do have the time and there also is the

income they go together and with you look at the stats they

ain't very optimistic about the ability to live hundred and beyond on current

savings and current ways. Now that might change too I mean the whole whole money

and everything else might change but for the moment we really do need to think

about how are we going to enjoy our next half-century and how are we gonna finance it.

-And you know I one of the reasons I'm really excited to have you

here beside of all I mean there's so many but you know I I work with a lot of

entrepreneurs and a lot of my audience are people that have had prior careers

and you know we're not talking about just like a job or a lower-level job

they've had established careers I mean you were a physician, an anesthesiologist

you had life-or-death decisions on your hands and that's quite a distinguished

career and and now you've you're doing something totally different a total

reinvention. What brought you to that?

-You know life usually its life

events isn't it? I I was I was heading into what I thought was a regular

retirement and then I went through a divorce one of those gray divorces also

on the incidents after on the increased incidence after 37 years of marriage

when I was 60 so suddenly I am changing my focus it's like I'm looking at a

different future that was the it was in 2007 the year

before the crash then the crash happened and I have this there was a one moment

where I just saw I just, I get funny even talking about it. I just felt

the number of people whose lives were going to be destroyed and I put the two

together and and it was kind of strange like something came out of the blue and

said to me someone need to do something about this and this little voice here

said, "you're someone" and I said, "get away" and this little voice on here said

"yes you are" and so I said "okay I'll do something". And I did and that's when my

world changed I mean it's bizarre innit but I turned at that moment I started

working out what was the most effective way that I could help particularly women

because I know they're gonna live much longer really work out how they were

going to organize their life 40, 50 years further on and that's tough because you

made the other good point is we don't think that far ahead it's unreal

it's very difficult to think half a century ahead but in fact we need to. So

I had to bring it into today and using video is the way I helped them get

forward today.

-And I really want to dive into that but there's one question I

want to ask you and I might blindside you here a little bit, because I did not warn you

with it but you know one of the things that I I struggled with when I made the

leap to entrepreneurship and one of the things I've noticed a lot of new

entrepreneurs struggle with is that mindset shift of being an employee of

working for someone else to being an entrepreneur. I'd love to hear your

thoughts on that.

-Well in a way I was never an employee.

I've always been self-employed you know but but even so the mind shift from

physician to entrepreneur has been massive. I don't think you can do it

unless you do a huge amount of self work first and for me it was it was perfect

at the time because I was doing a whole load of delving into myself. As to why

my marriage had gone wrong and what had happened in my life and where I was I

was going to go but I think it's it's mandatory. You're right. If you don't do

that you are never going to be successful in your transition to an

entrepreneurial world so what I did basically was literally go out there and

read every single help book self-help book I could find. I went into Tony

Robbins, I went to Oprah, and the hilarious things is that my medical

friends whom I'm I mean I've got medical friends from 40 years or more when I

talk like this now they roll their eyes and say "oh my god she's gone California

woowoo" and and we laugh and and it's so you do become a different person you

move into a different world but you need to make that mindset shift.

-Because you're always gonna come up against your stuff when it's when you're

an entrepreneur and I think one of the things that was one of my mentors said

that you you know you're always gonna be faced with what you do to you as an

entrepreneur when you're entirely responsible for yourself and I I just

think it's just there's a lot of courage involved in making that leap but once

you start to go down that journey it can actually be a really beautiful journey.

-I wouldn't I wouldn't have missed it for a second. It's amazingly enriching. I am a

different person my kids my kids see it too which is great you know and they all

mom I love who you've become and to me that's like that's enough in itself and

and I just encourage everyone to go on the journey.

-It really is because you

really get to get to learn about yourself. The self you didn't know, right?

And that gets me to the questions. I want to talk about Wisdom to Wealth Mastery

because all of us whether we've been lifelong entrepreneurs or

we're making that switch do have a lifetime of wisdom built up in us so how

do we take that wisdom and turn it into wealth? And I think this is where we're gonna

be talking about a little bit about video one of my favorite topics.

-Yeah and you're right and that's why it's funny because you you know same as me when you

say later in life you say it in that you know like I don't know if I should be

saying this because people don't want to look at it that way but when you do get

into 40s and 50s you do have wisdom and it's not knowledge it's wisdom and it's

wisdom that people want and and we've had this one of the transformations of

the last few years has been this massive transformation in marketing where we've

gone from living in our own little world to being able to go I say it's like

going through the door at the back of the Wardrobe you go through into a

virtual world like Narnia which video allows you to do and we can now take our

wisdom to the world and I think this is the most exciting thing right now I

think we've got what we got 7.5 billion people on the planet we've got 3 billion

online and it's anticipated in the next two years we will go to four, another

4 billion will come online and these are people who've never been online who are

desperately desperate to learn and I know that cuz I spent quite a bit of

time in Africa and that and they're desperate to learn. The opportunity we

have right now to take our wisdom to these folks and generate wealth for us

with our knowledge but for them to it's the trickle down that I love it's it's

that we can take our wisdom help them create new lives educate them and then

that turns into wealth for all of us and that's what I

want to do. And of course the way we do it is video because video allows us I mean

we're living proof. Right this second we're sitting here recording a

conversation and this conversation will go out to the world and that is the

power of video.

-And people get to see the person behind the words you know

just copy on a screen can convey some stuff but it's the video.

-We wanna know who the people are.

-Yeah

-We really want it to me it's it's today's networking what we're doing is

networking with the world and it is it is so powerful I mean it's risen what in

10 years it's gone from nowhere it's gone from a geek in a garage with wires

and equipment everywhere to something everybody can do through a smartphone.

it's it's amazing the power it's given us.

-You've got a program

something called Purse Power or you do something like that right yeah you can

record your cell phone video just having your purse, and just have a studio in your

purse.

-Yep, I walk around with an HD I say I have the equivalent of CBC,

NBC, whatever BC you want in my purse. Something that only 10 years ago would

be millions of dollars worth of investment now it's on my person I can

take it out at any time and go to the world as we've been doing

this morning earlier with some Facebook things I mean it's so powerful.

-Well and you've you have called yourself the itty-bitty techie dude. So, tell me I

mean I I love watching your videos and we're gonna link to Sue's web page and

her YouTube channel here below in the show notes as well because it's a wealth

of information on the tech and that the pieces behind it. What I mean I love

video obviously I love being the talent and when it comes to all that the the

technology the lights the camera that the post-production the microphones i i

short circuit out. What made that exciting for you and how

do you make that easy for for people to understand?

-And you know I do you know you hit that there's just

two big roadblocks i think especially for women getting onto camera. One is the

confidence to do it and that's the mindset thing we've already talked about

that and second is the tech. And in fact someone said to me yesterday, "well i made

the video now what I do with it?" and I just love the tech I mean

anaesthesiology is a tech business right so it's very easy for me to move into

the tech. But I know how difficult it is especially for women so and I know my

talent is to simplify. We have simple equipment now which really as I say

really all you need is smartphone and maybe a microphone to make the sound

better but beyond that what do you do? I simplify it so in my courses on my

teaching I literally take you, you don't even have to think about it, I say this

is what you do you click here, you click here, you click here, you get the video.

You follow my clicks, and that's what you need to do now to edit, to put it on

YouTube, to put it on Facebook live, I'll give you the little techy click by click

so you don't have to think and then away you go.

-Well I think I told you this,

there was one day and this is just such an awesome like it's so funny I my tech

gal was not available it was her day off I can't remember

I needed something transcribed right away and I'd kind of heard about that

Google thing right how you could do it and I couldn't figure out I couldn't

figure it out for the life of me. So what do you do you go into Google and you go

like how do you transcribe and I put it in YouTube comes up and guess who

shows up on my feed, it's Sue in a video teaching it! I burst out laughing. It's like of all the videos that could come

up it wouldn't be Sue. So this this really shows you how you can be found on

video, right? Just putting something like that up there and it was it was kind of

an obscure thing but and there was a lot of videos after you but you were at the

top of it and I just thought I think I posted in your Facebook group I'm like

"Sue, you're not gonna believe what just happened right, I just, it was you" but

speaking of being found I want to know how on earth did you get in the video

with Gary Vee? Let's talk about this.

-It's, it this is pure happenstance. My

daughter-in-law introduced me to Gary Vee and and his book what is it Jab Jab

Right Hook and I thought this guy's really cool. And I went on to his video

on his video channel and I saw his six minutes for the next 60 years of your

life rant. And it hit me like it really hit me because I'm the

avatar. Right? I am I am you know exactly who is

talking about in that rant.

-And if you haven't seen that we're gonna link to

that in the show notes as well.

-You have to watch it because that's the message that we're

talking about here and and I watched a few times and it was so visceral for me

and yet Gary's videos are, they're New York, they're dark, they're urban, and I live in

Victoria, British Columbia. I've got the mountains I've got the ocean I got the

flowers and I thought you know, and his words are very different from mine

so what I did was just transcribe his words and do it with me

as Gary as the avatar and then I I did it for fun and then I thought oh I might

be stuck with a copyright here. So I just sent the video through Gary's

website to his team and asked if I could put this video

up and they said yes. Forgot about it, that was it and then about four months

later I've I'm talking to my daughter on the phone and my phone starts just

messages coming through and this was the first time what I didn't know totally

unbeknownst to me they picked up my video, they'd taken Gary's original, and

they'd spliced us and it was hilarious I mean it it's it shows

one serendipity. This was no intent. I did it for fun and that video now has

over two hundred and fifty one thousand views.

-Yeah so it shows how easy you can go

viral.

-Yep

-And how things can change and people would know who you are and I you

know and it's funny because I when I was talking to a few people about our guest

cuz when we when we do a interviews we'll do a few up in a day cuz obviously

the sets different or whatever so I can't remember who I was speaking to saying we're

having our interviews today and I mentioned something about you coming and

then I said, they didn't quite know right away and I said oh what's really cool is

she had this video with Gary Vee, she's like I've seen that! right? So I can't remember

who that was but I do remember that was the reaction and so it's so easy to

suddenly go from you know just being comfortable in little Victoria BC to

being all over the world with one video.

-One video one video and I think

the other point here which is really important for everybody is that with the

web you are only one click away from every single influencer. That is

power. If you use that power you we all of us have, I don't like the word guru,

but we have people who are where we want to be and you are one click away from them.

-Well and and that's the thing, the next question I was going to

get to because I think this this goes a little bit beyond just video, is is that

whole mindset piece because you could have recorded that and said ah you know

what, it was fun and then show to a few friends, who am I to reach out to Gary

Vee? Which I think a lot of us would do or shy away from. So can you talk to

me a little bit about that and what would you tell our viewers or somebody

listening today that says, I couldn't possibly reach out to an influencer.

-Mindset. It's it you just need to see some more mindset work and I'll tell you

to the other nice thing is when you get in your seventies you think what the

heck? Why don't I do it? So you do it but that again is a mindset stuff it's a

what I got to lose? The only thing I had to lose was they would say no and then I

wouldn't put the video up. But if you don't ask you don't get, so you ask. And I

I see if if you if you can garner the courage to make that connection it's so

powerful because you know the gurus they appreciate, they see someone,

they they know they've been there in the past and they know what it's like for

someone to to basically to want to move forward which is another way of living

forward

-Yes, and which is I mean and I know for

me when I first started my business I remember one of the big things that with

a lot of coaches is to speak on telesummits to get well-known and one of

the harder parts about getting on telesummits

is well A, they're already established when you find out about it so how to get

on there? People have to know about you in advance. I was unknown. And you also

have to have a certain list size so I it was something I never knew how to

do and it took just one influencer, one person who said I want to help you out

right? And I had to talk to her, I had to ask her I said you know I don't have a

big list here's some other ideas and you know what

she took me on and that made a big difference right and again it was about

having that mindset but don't be afraid. Because the worst they can say is

no and if you don't ask you're already saying no.

-And that is an absolutely

profound truth if you don't ask you don't get

and it's there. You just have to make that step and take action

-Yeah absolutely and I think that's one of the hardest things as entrepreneurs

is is when we take action just entirely for ourselves we're so worried about

that rejection piece but but we can't be and I love that you said you know in

your 70s you don't care and I think we all need to stop caring a lot sooner. I

heard a talk by Jessie Itzler, you know who he is? He's Sara Blakey's

husband for those of you who don't know and he's written a book

called Living with a Seal which is a phenomenal book and one of the things he

said in his talk and it really struck with me was if you can get over the fear

of being embarrassed like your life is gonna change right because then so what?

-Well I mean and again that that is absolutely right it goes back to the

confidence to being on camera I mean I think there's an old Jerry Seinfeld

thing that if you're at a funeral most people would rather be in the casket

than giving the eulogy. So you have this fear of speaking on two levels, one is

public speaking and then that carries over into video and again that just

comes back to deciding to do it. To working on your mindset and then to

practice practice practice practice and we can all do it and there's no excuse

now especially. A lot of people would avoid video until maybe a year or so ago

when Facebook Live came because it was too tech. Sorry you just tell me any

excuse now, I'll say nuhuh, you just pick up that phone, hit the red button.

Pick up the phone, hit the red button and it has become so simple and people want

to know you.

-Yeah, they want to know who you are

and to engage with you and connect with you and and your tribe will find

you that way right? How do you help your clients with you know the whole relaxing

piece like about being on camera I mean like and you even know with me I mean I

have a technical setup like I live in a technical household I have a team and

how long did I resist going on video?

-yep

-Right? I know it's hard to believe now but I

mean if I can do it, anybody can do it, so how you give me a real kick in the pants

is is that how do you work with everyone or is there something you do to help

them relax and get them on that

-No I I do things to help them relax there's a

couple of things that I think are really important and and this is really

fascinating I've had quite a few clients who are excellent public speakers in

terms of standing up instead in front of 500 women they can talk they can and

when you're in that environment you're you're relying a lot of subtle feedback

from the audience. You're making eye contact with the audience, you're

listening to the way they respond, and you become a part of the whole

experience. Take those folks and put them in front

of a cold hard lens and all of that feedback goes and they hate it. So what I

do is I'd go through a little exercise ahead of time about centering yourself

taking a big deep breath going into yourself and imagining your ideal client

or the person you love the most I mean we know we can go in and we can

visualize a situation and then I get them to look right through the lens. You

don't look at the lens. In fact I have a little teddy bear that sits behind the

lens and I say that is your person you want to talk to talk to them don't look

at the lens look through the lens and that helps and then if they really still

can't do it I go to the teleprompter because the teleprompter helps get over

that and then eventually they can drop the teleprompter. They're focusing on

something else well and I know there's there's a few people that I've

personally witnessed so and I'll keep them them confidential to respect their

privacy but they're people that I've I've known and seen who would be like

that and who have completely transformed and are out doing their video and every

chance they get you're loving it and it's not like they just said okay

I'm gonna do, it they're loving it now from resisting and that's through

working with you, which has been incredible.

-You know it's it's always

that first step isn't it? You have we always have the big hairy scary

situation of the first step. We do it and then we think, oh that wasn't so bad. And

in fact I have that old the old thing you know the button thing, "that was easy"

and once you've done that the next one is no is not nearly as difficult and

then they're off really really fast.

-And you get to doing it. So one of the

things I wanted to segue a little bit and you had given me permission to go

there and I'm so glad that you did because it really does tie well into

what we're talking about about being prepared for the future and preparing

ourselves and you as an entrepreneur as a single woman have just faced having

breast cancer. How does, you know would you be willing

to talk a little bit about that to our audience? Because you know it's not like

we have our employee benefits plan we can rely on and we have to make

decisions and and you know I I didn't even know because you you still showed

up as Sue, remember? Like when I emailed you and and I was like oh I didn't

realize until till later so if you would maybe share a little bit about that.

-Well I think is it's like everything that happens to you there are a real lessons

aren't there. And and you know I know breast cancer really well because I must

have given a thousand anesthetics to women for mastectomy and for a whole

load of issues after their breast cancer you know when they go into chemo and

radiation and I never thought it would happen to me but it did this summer and

I had a mastectomy just about two months ago and there are a lot of lessons. One

is as an entrepreneur one thing I know from being in medicine, excuse my

language, shit happens in this life. What are you going to do? Ask yourself the

question, if you had to stop for six months now

would your business be able to survive? Would you be able to survive

financially? And this happened to me at a stage when I'm really ramping up and so

I've been out three to four months I mean I tried to keep going and I would

do Facebook Lives but it isn't the same intensity and however whatever your

outcome is and I've been very lucky I won't need further treatment

your mind is away, you're somewhere else for those months. And so the

first thing is how are you going to survive financially? Which comes back to

this whole business of using video to expand your

audience. The second thing is the mindset thing I you know how you're going to

deal with it. Are you going to crumple or are you gonna just say well there's a

speed bump I have to deal with it and move on and so I've been very

fortunate because I haven't got to go any further but I actually have two very

close friends right now who had mastectomies within a few days of me who

are going down who are also entrepreneurs so going down the route of

chemo and radiation that's really tough and so you probably know on this Monday

this week I decided I would in sympathy with them I would get my hair

shaved off so, don't you like my wig?

And Sue did that on Facebook live and I'm

going to have again I'm gonna get that video and we're gonna link below we're

gonna have a whole treasure trove of videos for you guys to go see because

Sue's I mean her story's phenomenal and I think it'll really inspire you I mean

that I I so respect that because that wasn't something that you had to do it's

something you wanted to do to support.

Yeah I wanted to do it very much to support

these two ladies whom I love and and the other thing is so often one of the

excuses that women use about I can't do a video today because my hair is not

right I'm having a bad hair day and well I could take this off right now and say

well at least you've got hair I have a no hair day, so I but I think we do

need to plan for the unexpected and the speed bumps and the sooner we start the

sooner we are going to be able to navigate those unexpected things that

happen in our lives.

-Yeah I would agree with that and it we

don't want to think about it we don't want to be negative but we do have to

because anyway it could be anything could happen.

-I saw it every single day

in my life in the O.R. every single day you'd have someone come in who you knew

their life would be on hold or their life trajectory was going to change and

it happens. I hope it doesn't happen. But it does happen. They'll be prepared.

-And so we need to as entrepreneurs and to really make sure that our business can

run without us that we have things like insurance in place. And that's one

thing I see a lot of entrepreneurs they don't pay attention to you know

sometimes you'll see the financial planners out networking

and people tune them out and I'm thinking, people it doesn't cost a lot of

money to get a critical illness package. It's it's the best thing you can and

I think that's something as entrepreneurs we need to pay attention

to because we don't have an employer paying that for us and it's it's a very

small investment in ourselves however critical illness will get you

over the hump but what happens when you come back to work so if you have a

business that's running without you that you have your video out in the world

that's generating income it's like you can take a break and nobody knows and

you can pop back in without losing any momentum

-And the other advantage again

is if you've got a stack of you, of videos, I say every single video you may

make is a little mini-me it's up there marketing you 24/7 365 in 24 time zones

hey that's power. So the bigger stock of video you have out there already that

you can have come up when you're out of action, it's so valuable and then again

you can eventually create courses and move into passive income which is really

the ideal outcome for all of us eventually

-Yes yes and and I mean

I've had that myself or someone has watched a video gone through a webinar

and then I wake up the next day and I'm like, Ooo, there's money there! I went to bed without

it I did nothing well I mean I didn't do nothing I did the work before your

passive income still has some build-up to it but when I earned it it's just

it was unexpected so that I mean the power of that is...

-And we've never had

that before we've never had this reach we've never had this power and it's

video that makes it possible.

-Absolutely. So Sue, I so appreciate you coming here

today making the trek over from Vancouver Island to spend the morning

with me and I know today it's it's your birthday and you're having a party tonight?

-No it's my Christmas party with it's my Christmas party with my my

medical family

Oh for some reason I thought it was a birthday. So

-Well, I don't know yeah I'll take another

birthday. I've got 30 40 to go hopefully so what's another birthday?

-So it was a special day for you and yet you came all the way here and I so

appreciate it. If there's one thing you could say to our viewers in in leaving

whether it's about you know starting entrepreneurship about video about being

prepared like what would you like them most to know because most of most of the

people that watch our episodes are people who are in their second act.

I mean and they're looking to do something different for themselves what

would you like to tell them, one thing they could take away today?

-You can do this. You can absolutely do this and each day just take another step and you can

do this. And if I can do it at my age from not even zero, from zero in what is

it now maybe three to four years since I came into this to the video if I can do

it you can and I'm quite happy to show you how.

-Awesome and how can people

find you?

-Oh well they can find me I've got my YouTube channel with a link my

Use It or Lose It! Understanding the Connection between Vaginal Health and Sexual Activity - Duration: 8:53.

I'm really looking forward you know to spray keep spreading that message

because a lot of people especially if they've been in a long-term relationship

or marriage they kind of belief sex might you know that sex is over

and and that's not the case .. right

thanks so much for tuning in again to our second act with Paige and Silke

we're continuing our conversation today with Tiffany Yelverton the founder of

Entice Me and the chief how do you pronounce the Sexinista is that what

you call yourself SexinistaTiffany thanks for staying over thank you I'm so

happy to be here ...let's get let's get down to the basics which is that as we

age our vagina changes and we get what is called

vaginal atrophy and it's a condition that causes very painful sex however

most of us don't realize what's happening we've gotten a lot of really

heart-wrenching comments on some of our previous shows where you know 25 30

year-old marriages are breaking up because a woman a man they

don't understand what's going on with their bodies and they can't talk about

it what what have you found out there and what advice would you give women to

not be afraid to bring up pain or discomfort to your doctor and to your

partner because if something is hurting that's our bodies pain response to stop

and to fix what's happening so what can you tell us about you know fixing the

problem of that or addressing it anyway of vaginal dryness and you know what are

your best recommendations well first of all using a vaginal moisturizer it will

really help even twice a day I love sex butter or boudoir butter

they're all natural organic oil based lubricant and moisturizer so they really

help to rebuild the cell wall and really keep it supple because when it's too dry

in our vaginal tissue then even any movement is going to cause those tears

you have specific products that like you said that are natural or organic and

don't have the chemicals that would actually dry us out even more right so

you want to look for products that don't have any propylene glycol propylene

glycol alcohol derivative so it can even cause

more dryness I know that there's a difference between you know moisturizers

and lubricants and that's something that that's kind of was new to me just

recently explain that well moisturizers tend to have additional ingredients like

vitamin E or an aloe and more suppleness than just a lubricant so you mean you

you would use a moisturizer like everyday and lube is something that you

would lose you know use before sex is that with correct yeah okay okay so

lubricants will help your sexual experience be better and more easily to

have any penetration as well and then you know there are women that have

gotten so bad where the atrophy has gotten so bad that you know you definitely go

see your doctor talk about it and we'll be talking some the physicians who are

doing you know the surgical vaginal rejuvenation procedures but there's a

light you can do before you get to that point right yes so if you haven't had

any penetration for a long time and I meet women that haven't had it for

dozens of years and using even dilators or Jade egg or some kind of small

vibrator to start the opening up of the area something very small like a finger

size to begin with or even just your lubed up finger but also there's all

kinds of new products that have like muscle stimulation electrical currents

running through them or pulsed light therapy which is like the Home version

of the Mona Lisa which does the vaginal rejuvenation so will just help to you

know when you put muscle stimulating pads anywhere on your body it just helps

to start stimulating those muscles without ever even really contracting

them yourself well and really by way of education again what we're talking about

is literally healing and plumping up the vaginal walls right right yeah can you

give me links to specific products that would help

that would help do that then you don't have to search around okay good and I

know you have a doctor that you work with that does the bioidentical hormone

which we talked about which I know we both agree that that's what you would

want to go to when you talk to your doctor about hormone replacement therapy

is doing the bioidentical route we've talked dr. Laurie has been she's a

regular on this show she's my she's my you know personal physician yes by the

correcting it at the root with the hormones is is one of they changed my

life absolutely but then you you still you

know you the use it or lose it it's absolutely true and I'm really

looking forward you know to spray keep spreading that message because a lot of

people especially if they've been in a long-term relationship or marriage they

kind of believe sex might you know that is over right and and that's not the

case and I think a good way to explain atrophy is that use it you don't lose it

like if you've ever had your hand or your leg in a cast or not using it and

how those how fast those muscles deteriorate and even smaller your arm

gets if it's in a cast and then even for a few you know six weeks so if you've

gone years without using a muscle because that's what the vaginal tissue

is it's surrounded by large muscle groups that are in there plus the skin

that is actual vaginal tissue yeah and and because we are embarrassed to talk

about it we're so uneducated about that it's it's crazy

well we're gonna be talking a lot more to you to dr. Lori to other experts when

it comes to vaginal health and and Tiffany and knowing that there are so

many women out there who really don't understand what's going on don't you

have a coaching service that helps with that as well yes I do and one of the

things that I coach on a lot for women is taking them through that process of

rejuvenating their vagina and getting them ready to have sex again especially

if they're getting ready to date maybe they've been divorced or

a spouse pass away and that's really intimidating to to know that sex is

going to be on the table and not know that your body's ready for that so

taking them through not just the physical aspects of getting their body

ready but the emotional and mental aspects as well getting ready to date

and have sex again it's you know sex should be fun and it can be scary for a

lot of people that's you know when it should be joyful so well I can attest

you know to anybody listening tiffany is wonderful to talk to she'll make you

feel very much at ease do drop us your questions your comments if you do want

to get in touch with Tiffany directly we will link to all of her information

including some of the products that we talked about today and please you know

don't be embarrassed don't be embarrassed Tiffany right what would you

leave ours with just please ask us because we're here to help you and we

want you to have the most pleasurable life possible well Tiffany thank you on

our next segment we'll come back and we'll discuss some of the issues that

IS IT WORTH TO OPEN CS:GO CASES? (Clutch Case Opening) - Duration: 9:21.

Stick around if you want to see what I got from the clutch cases and what are the actual

odds to unbox.. something good.

Hey guys, NadeKing here.

So, many of you said that I should make a clutch case opening video.. well..

It did go pretty well..

CSGOMagic teamed up with me and made everything possible.

They sponsored this video.

I am also giving away 25 cheaper skins from the new clutch case..

This means you will have a great chance to actually get a free skin.

So if you want to participate, just like the video,

make sure you are subscribed with notifications on and comment your trade link under the video.

I will send those skins to 25 lucky winners in a couple of days.

To begin with, let's release the tension.

Yes, this was my best item to unbox.

M4A4 Neo-Noir.

No gloves.. even though I unboxed more than 450 cases.

These were my results in numbers.

452 cases opened, 369 blues, 63 purples, 18 pinks, 2 reds and 0 yellows.

I made a pie chart to illustrate this.

As you can see from my graph, more than 81% of the times I opened blue skin.

But somehow I managed to open 2 reds.

You can see the really thin red line here.

Another red I unboxed was MP7 Bloodsport, by the way, it was battle-scarred and was

worth around 7 euros.

I guess this concludes my luck with the clutch cases pretty well.

Although, I really wanted to unbox early gloves from the clutch case, I didn't get them.

So, is it worth to open CS:GO cases, in my context, clutch cases?

We have to look back in time, as all the csgo cases have the same odds for blues, purples,

pinks, reds and the special items.

Some people have been opening a lot of cases and gathered a lot of info from the CS:GO

case openings.. let's have a closer look at Rock's Case investigation info, as he has

gathered info from almost 52 000 case openings.

Big shoutout to Rock, I will leave link about his public data about case openings in the

video description.

By the way, all the big number investigations actually show almost the same odds.

So, as you can see 79,8% of a chance to get yourself a blue skin.

16,1% to get purple, 3,1% to get pink, 0,6% to get red and 0,2% to get a yellow rare item.

It's actually pretty similar to my data with 450 cases opened.

It means that in my case it was 0,2% of a chance for me to actually unbox gloves.

Pretty unreal.

Let me illustrate this with a graph.

Look at this yellow part, this is the possibility to get a rare item out from the case opening.

Imagine some arrow landing on this part.

Real mission impossible.

Even the red item looks really rare from here.

0.6% chance to get a red out from the case.

I managed to do it twice so I am actually happy about that.. for now.

This info makes the rare items even more valuable in my eyes, it's so damn hard to unbox them.

Yes, I have been lucky once when I unboxed Hydra gloves with my second case, but now

I realized.. how impossible it actually was to get the gloves with the second case, as

I now opened 450 of them and got nothing.

Congratulations to everyone who have managed to get something good out of the clutch case.

I will maybe try again in the future, but right now I am just fascinated with the fact

how hard it actually is to get the gloves.

And if we are talking about StatTrak rare item..

Knives.. as no one has not been lucky enough to unbox StatTrak gloves.. yet.. then it is

1 of 10 chance that your freshly unboxed knife is a StatTrak knife.

Wow.

This chance is very very low.

So is it worth to open clutch cases.

My short answer for you is definitely no, especially when the new case comes out, they

are pretty high priced and you are risking, even more, when you are opening those.

If the price gets lower and more reasonable.. then make your own choice as you now know

what are the odds to actually get something good.

Although, I really love this case, because there are

plenty of cool pairs of gloves that you can unbox and.. the odds for the cases are the

same, so if you are asking me right now.. these gloves what you could get are more expensive

than most of the knives you could unbox, so in my opinion it's one of the best cases

right now to try to unbox.

Because if you get the gloves.. there is a great chance that they are more expensive

than your possible unboxed knife.

But there are always exceptions, you never know.

By the way, one fun fact from the Rock's Case Investigation.. longest spree without a knife

was 2200+ cases.

So, when I opened 450 cases.. glad I stopped because I could go 2000+ cases without a pair

of gloves as well.

You never know how unlucky you could be.

Although Rock's data shows average 425 cases till the rare item.. maybe I should try to

open 10 more cases?

What do you think?

You can make a suggestion in the right top corner of the video.

Now may be a right time to say that in my opinion.. simple roulette on a well-known

CS:GO gambling site is way more.. winnable than opening cases in CS:GO.

So, if you want to really play a CS:GO related lottery then you can start a risk-free lottery

from nadeking.com, there you can find a lot of special bonus codes to try your luck, without

risking your own money.

Make sure you are 18+ to gamble.

Most of the codes will give you more money than standard bonus codes since many people

have used them already.

I have also a video on my channel where I used only those codes and went from nothing

to a knife.

But you have to be really lucky to hit this.

Still, I myself prefer standard CS:GO gambling site roulette to a case opening, because there

you have basically 45% chance to double your money since roulette most of the times hits

black or red.

But of course, if you have no money to play with and you are not willing to risk anything..

then gambling is not the way to go, and opening those cases is pretty much a way of gambling,

with even worse odds.

You have been watching my real clutch case opening action as a background video so you

can witness what I actually got out from there.

I also managed to unbox AWP Mortis, so things were not that bad in terms of pinks and reds.

I managed to unbox all the skins besides* the gloves.

Here you can see little footage from the shiniest ones in-game.

But yea, in desperation of wanting those gloves so badly.

I sold almost all my great unboxings to open more cases.. and got nothing.

Just to make clear.

I do not have those skins you can see right now, although some of them looked really nice.

I really loved the M4A4 myself.

Pretty neat design.

But as CSGOMagic made this case opening possible for me.

Lemme quickly try my luck on their site.

I like the site because of the attractive layout and the fact that you can see your

possible winnings in real time live.

So it is a crash game, you put your skins in, you can set the auto-cashout number but

you can also manually cash out whenever you feel and then just look at the multiplier

growing and growing.

It can crash at 1.0 and it can go up to thousands.

I got one cheap glock deposited right now.

And I feel my time is now..

One time, one bet let's go.

Damn, couldn't hold it more.

I played it pretty safe.

And it actually went to 5x.

You never know.

But with 2 easy clicks, I managed to make some actual profit, which is nice.

Anyways, I hope that if you are going to open some cases that you get really lucky and do

way better than me.

Feel free to use those free bonus codes from nadeking.com.

If you are interested in free clutch case skins, make sure to participate in the giveaway.

Also, make sure to link this video to your friends, so they will know how lucky they

actually have to be in order to unbox either the knife or the gloves and thanks for watching!

Crazy Frosting Recipe: The Best Buttercream Frosting with Endless Flavor Variations! - Duration: 7:41.

Hi Bold Bakers!

We've had great success with our crazy series.

From crazy bread, to cookies, and even muffins.

Well the next installment in the series is something that I think you're going to find

really useful.

It is crazy frosting.

One frosting, endless flavor possibilities.

Now as always the recipe for this can be found on BiggerBolderBaking.com along with all of

my other recipes.

Okay, let's get started by whipping up our butter.

So here I have my room temperature butter, now this is really important because you want

it to whip up well, so have it out at room temperature for at least a few hours.

Now as you can see I'm using a stand mixer, but feel free to use an electric hand mixer

as well.

So the first important step in frosting making is to whip the butter up all by itself.

Just to get some air into it.

This'll take around eight minutes on high speed.

Okay, time is up, this is exactly what you want, it's pale in color and it's light

and fluffy.

So at this stage, we're going to add in our icing sugar.

Now my icing sugar is sifted and you want to do this, make sure that there's no lumps,

and you also get air into your icing sugar.

The name of the game here is air.

That's what's going to yield you a lovely frosting.

So now another secret to frosting making is adding in the sugar slowly, spoonful by spoonful.

Add in a little bit, let it whip up, and then add another little bit in.

And we just keep on doing this, it takes a few minutes, but it will yield you a really

fluffy frosting.

You would not believe the amount of messages I get on a daily basis about people struggling

with frosting.

Bu honestly it is not that hard, if you just follow a few of my simple tips you will have

success every time.

Okay so our sugar is all in here, while the machine is still running on a medium speed,

I'm going to add in a little bit of milk.

Now all this does is just lighten up your frosting.

Lovely.

Then I'm going to add in a little bit of vanilla extract, this is what we're going to use

for the base.

Now what we want to do for the last few minutes is whip this up on a high speed again for

roughly three to four minutes.

So this is what your frosting should look like once you're done.

Check that out, it is thick, it has gone really pale in color, it is fluffy, look at all those

air bubbles, this is what we're going for.

Now we're going to take this and make it all different flavors.

So you are going to see with the addition of just one or two ingredients, how you can

make pretty much any frosting flavor you like.

The first one I'm going to start out with is fudge frosting.

Now what we're going to do here is add in some cocoa powder.

Now I like to use unsweetened cocoa powder.

I don't use Dutch process because it actually can be quite bitter, and not very nice to

eat raw.

Also, if you're thinking to yourself, "I don't have cocoa powder but I do have hot

chocolate powder," do not use that!

Hot chocolate powder is not the same thing, it has sugar in it, and all sorts of funny

stuff.

So you want to go for unsweetened cocoa powder.

So here I'm just showing you how to mix a little bit of frosting, but on the website

I've got how you can flavor the whole batch.

And also, the beauty of this recipe is if you want to make a batch of buttercream frosting

and flavor it chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, all out of the same batch, you can do that.

Okay, perfect, this is looking great, there's our chocolate, I'm going to set this aside

and the next flavor we're going to make is a strawberry frosting.

So now I get a lot of requests for strawberry frosting because it goes really well with

any type of a vanilla cake, especially in the summer.

So what I have here is a little bowl of strawberry purée, and I'm going to add that into my

frosting.

Now you only want to add in a little bit, because if you add too much liquid, it can

make your buttercream very soft, and also it might separate it.

So you just want to add in a little bit.

I like to use fresh strawberry purée because of the flavor, but if there's some sort of

a strawberry extract out there, you could also use that.

So now there's a method to my madness, why I'm showing you how to make chocolate and

strawberry frosting.

Next week is Bigger Bolder Baking's 4th birthday and I'm going to make this gorgeous

three-layered Neapolitan cake and you're going to need these frostings for it.

So store that in the back of your noggin, and come back and watch that video.

Okay, set that over to the side and we're going to make our next frosting.

So our net frosting that we're making is actually a peanut butter frosting, now this

goes so great with chocolate cakes, it just really balances them out, chocolate and peanut

butter go so well together.

So here I have some smooth peanut butter and then all we're going to do is mix it in.

So next week I actually have two videos coming your way, and the second one is going to be

a chocolate and peanut butter cake and it is to die for.

So you're not going to want to miss that, you're going to need this frosting for it.

Okay this is looking good, I'm going to give it a little taste.

Aw yeah.

Salty and sweet, man.

You can't beat it.

The next frosting we're going to make is a lovely lemon.

So this is really simple, all you need is a lemon, fresh one, and a zester, and then

all you want to do is grate the zest into your frosting, as much or as little as you

want.

I love this flavor because it reminds me of springtime and Easter, it's just really

fresh and light tasting.

It's just so yummy.

Okay and then all you do is simply stir that in.

So now I know lemon is usually a yellow color, so if you want, you can add in a little tiny

bit of yellow food coloring, just to give it a little bit of a tint of yellow, and then

mix that in.

But that's totally up to you.

And remember use good quality food dye or my homemade food dyes.

Okay, lovely.

That's another flavor, I like the variety that we're doing, we've got chocolate

covered, fruit, then something fresh like lemon, going to set this aside and move on

to our next one.

The next one up is my personal favorite, coffee flavored frosting.

So coffee granules are my secret weapon when it comes to flavoring any of my desserts coffee.

The thing about these is that they're concentrated flavor so add in a tiny bit of liquid to it,

dissolve it, and then you've got a concentrated punch of coffee.

The thing about it is it doesn't make great coffee to drink, but it is perfect for baking.

Into our frosting.

And then you know where I'm going after this, mix it all together.

So you know when you're a kid and it comes around to your birthday and you always get

your favorite?

Like chocolate or Funfetti, when I was young all I wanted was coffee cake.

That's every single year I wanted coffee cake, and I would eat so much of it.

And still to this day it's my favorite cake.

Okay, I'm going to set this aside and we're going to get on to our next frosting.

Last but not least, a really fun flavor as an ice cream and a frosting, it's mint chocolate

chip.

So here I have some chocolate bar that I chopped up.

It was a nice bittersweet bar, so I'm going to add that in there.

Next we're going to add in a little bit of mint extract, now you know that I've made

my own before on Bigger Bolder Baking, it's really easy, or you can use good quality store-bought.

Now mint chocolate chip is always traditionally colored green, you can decide to do that or

not, but I'm going to add in a tiny little drop of food coloring, and then stir it all

up, and you'll start to see it come together and really start to smell and look like mint

chocolate chip.

Mint and chocolate go really well together so this frosting would be really great on

any of my chocolate cakes or cupcakes.

Give it a taste.

Oh, yeah.

Yum, I love, love mint.

If you love mint, you're going to love this frosting.

Now that you know how to make crazy frosting, the world is your oyster and you can make

any flavor your heart desires.

Are sure you share photos of your crazy creations on my website, because I love seeing them,

and I'll see you back here really soon, for more Bigger Bolder Baking.

6 Scientific Signs She Likes You - How To Tell If A Girl Is Attracted To You - Duration: 3:36.

Hey guys, in this video im gonna give you 6 scientific signs a girl likes you, so without

further ado, let's get right into it.

1.

HER PUPILS DILATE WHEN LOOKING AT YOU According to science, dilation of eyes is

the perfect sign of attraction.

Paying attention to her pupils can tell you a lot about her potential romantic interest

in you.

If she's attracted to you, she will attempt to make eye contact more often, she will smile

more often and her pupils will be dilated.

If you think she's attracted to you , try complimenting her looks, telling a girl how

beautiful her eyes are is always a win.

2.

She plays with her hair.

While it may sound strange to men, ladies use their hair to say a lot of things.

A girl who is interested in you will often touch her hair while near you.

This is a subconscious thing women do when attracted to a man, wanting to be perfect

by correcting a flyaway or replacing a fallen curl.

If she does mess with her hair a great deal while in your company, especially when there

is no reason for her to do it, it certainly means that she is attracted to you.

3.

She touches her lips One major physical sign of attraction from

a woman is licking or a slight biting of her lips when she's with you.

This is a good sign of desire–do not ignore it.

Some women touch their lips all the time, so its sometimes hard to notice the change.

If she looks at your lips, however , this is a great sign, you can almost be sure she

likes you.

4.

Notice her body language Observing her body language is a good way

to know if she likes you or not.

Facing someone with your body is a subconscious sign that you are listening to them and signaling

that they are your current attention holder.

Pay attention to her feet and torso.

If they're pointed towards you it's a good sign.

If she feels safe around you her feet and torso will show it especially in a group of

more than 5 people.

6.

She accidentally touches you.

Physical contact is by far the most common way a woman will express her interest in you.

An occasional playful punch or quick touch means a big deal when coming from a girl.

You can tell if a touch is accidental or not just by using common sense.

If it happened more than once and she keeps apologizing about it, she may not be interested

in you and just don't wanna look creepy.

Try to sneak in a touch on her hand, face or lower back, if she likes you she won't

be bothered or try to get away from you.

7.

She laughs at your jokes.

If she laughs at all your jokes, even the bad ones, she may be trying to show her interest

in you.

Laughing at someone's joke affirms their self-esteem.

It lets them know that their goal to amuse you has succeeded.

Just remember that if she's smiling a lot in your presence, especially when she's

talking to you, then there's a very high chance she finds you attractive and interesting.

And I'd like to end this video saying that taking action is everything.

You can keep wondering if she likes you back for days, but unless you actually take action,

you'll never get to where you want to be.

5 Ways to Beat Musical Writers Block – Getting Out of a Creative Rut - Duration: 8:24.

what is going on music people my name is Jeff welcome to ignite music project and

today I want to talk to you about one of the biggest hurdles and challenges that

get in the way of us writing and recording amazing music and to help you

get past that I want to share with you five ways to beat musical writer's block

and get out of a creative rut let's go

let's just address the giant elephant in the room and that is that writing music

can be hard it can also be a lot of fun it could be a great outlet but it can

also be really hard at times there is nothing worse than feeling like you are

stuck and that you can't move forward when you're writing a song don't worry

if this has ever happened to you you are not alone I've been there so many times

I can't even begin to count but it happens you can't think of anything it's

just gone all of your creative energy and your creative juices and your great

ideas you've had leave and you cannot put them together you can't think of the

right lyrics you can't think of the right melody you can't think of the

right arrangement it happens but don't worry I've been making music for over 15

years and there's some simple easy to do things that have helped me and so I want

to share them with you and hopefully they can inspire you they can give you

some ideas to get your creative juices flowing so let's get started number one

listen to more music this one sounds so simple you probably didn't even think of

it if you feel like you can't think of what to do musically take a break go

grab your favorite album by your favorite artist put on a pair of really

good headphones or sit in front of a really good pair of speakers and just

listen and I don't mean just casually listen for fun I mean really listen pay

attention to the nuances pay attention to the arrangement pay attention to the

orchestration the instrumentation pay attention to the lyrics pay attention to

the melody find out what it is about it that you really love and as you do that

it might spur on some new ideas in you it might inspire you and put an idea in

your head that will solve your musical problem and if you want to take that a

step further don't just stop at your favorite artist or your favorite genre

expand and listen to some John Roos that you may not normally choose to listen to

you would be surprised how much inspiration you can garner from

listening to new music that you've never listened

to before number to change your surroundings if you're like me you have

a music space you've got a studio or a rehearsal room or something a place

where you always go to write and work on your music now sometimes this can be

great because it means that you have a dedicated place to do it and you can

easily set aside time and you've got a place where you can go but sometimes

that can become stale and it can become uninspiring so if you're feeling stuck

try standing up and moving away from that space go for a walk go to the park

go to a busy street go to the mall go somewhere where that you can see and

smell and hear new things it's really amazing what your brain will come up

with or think of when you give it new or unique stimuli and can get those

creative juices flowing and it's really easy to do number three and this one

might sound a little counterintuitive but I found that it is really powerful

for me and that is setting boundaries and or limitations what you might be

thinking well let me explain there might be some of you out there that find

inspiration in using new tools in the music production process maybe it's a

new plugin maybe it's a new virtual instrument maybe a new sample library

something new that you haven't used before sometimes that can provide

inspiration it can purify new thoughts and ways of thinking and that's totally

cool I that's helped me in the past but sometimes I actually find that going the

opposite direction has helped pair things way down simplify things and set

certain boundaries or limitations for myself and in that mode or in that vein

it spurs and brings on new creativity to solve a problem or to think of something

that I never would have considered sometimes I like to challenge myself in

the songwriting process to write songs in new or different styles than I've

ever written before and if I set that boundary and say okay

you need to write a song but it has to be in this style sometimes that's when

my creativity really comes forward it's really pretty cool and sometimes I do

that in the music production process too where I say to myself that I will only

use stock plugins I won't rely on my go-to compressors or

my go-to reverbs or something like that I'll just use the tools that are there

and sometimes it gets your mind working in a unique way or a different way that

brings out something new that you never thought of so give it a try set some

boundaries or set some limitations and see if you can thrive or come up with

new ideas that you never would have thought up before number four change

your process everybody writes songs differently some people start with

lyrics they really like to write poetry and they think about the words and how

they fit together that way and then after they've written then they start to

add a melody then maybe they would put a chord progression underneath that other

people might start with a chord progression right start with their chord

progression and then build a melody and harmony on top of that some people just

start with a melody idea and then write the song around that the point is that

everybody's different and you probably have a way that you are more comfortable

with writing a go to process try changing things up if you've never

started with a melody before do it try it see what happens

start by writing a melody and seeing if that see if that brings on a more unique

and a more creative melody that you wouldn't have thought of otherwise and

number five is kind of along the same lines and that is use a different

instrument as part of your process you might have a primary instrument that you

always write your music from for me it's guitar I primarily write with acoustic

guitar but sometimes it can feel a lot the same sometimes you can feel stale

sometimes it feels stale or it feels uninspired right you pick up the guitar

and when you're starting write a song you always play the same chords you

always play the same riffs you always play the same rhythms it comes that's

what's natural to you right and you kind of go to your go to

but it traps you sometimes and it puts you in a box try instead writing

primarily on an instrument that you don't normally do so for me that would

be piano start with the piano write a chord progression or write a melody and

use the piano as your main instrument you'll find yourself putting new ideas

down or putting new things in place that you don't normally do I would say that

probably one of the best songs I've ever written I actually wrote on piano so

those are five simple ways that that you can get out of a creative rut and you

can overcome or beat writer's block that's worked for me so give them a try

and I would actually love to hear from you guys and gals what do you do when

you find yourself stuck in writing a song how do you overcome writer's block

I would love to get those ideas and I'd love for you to share them in the

comment section below and help other members of this community maybe they've

already tried these things I've suggested but maybe you have an idea

that can help them I'd love to hear what you guys have to say and if you found

this video helpful give it a like and share it with a music friend bring him

on board I'd love to have them join this community and I would love to help as

many people as I can make great music that's all for today guys I hope you're

having a wonderful day until next time see ya

Which Of These Everyday Things Will One Day Kill You? - Duration: 7:13.

If you've seen our show on how you will die, you'll know all about the most common

ways in which we leave this planet, which for most of us happens after we've lived

until a ripe old age.

You may also know from some of our other shows featuring the scarier aspects of life that

some of us just have rotten luck, and we may go out in agonizing pain due to some strange

disease or even after taking a bite on the butt from one of our eight-legged friends.

While most of us do make it to the later stages of life, every day is full of trapdoors and

potholes we might fall into, metaphorically speaking.

Today we'll look at some of the hidden dangers lurking around daily, in this episode of the

Infographics Show, These everyday things might one day kill you.

We'll start with germs and something that can be very nasty.

This is called E. coli, and while most E. coli is ok, some strains of this bacteria

can make you very sick, and can also be the end of you.

One such infection is called hemolytic uremic syndrome, and this gets to work destroying

your kidneys.

Outbreaks are not very common, but they do happen, and are usually spread via food that

hasn't been cooked properly.

In the early 90s, four children died from being infected after eating at the burger

restaurant, Jack in the Box.

In 2015, Chipotle Mexican Grill was blamed for an outbreak, while cheese and soy nut

butter has been to blame in other recent outbreaks.

Just in 2018, two deaths occurred and scores of people fell very ill in the U.S. and Canada,

and romaine lettuce was suspected of being the culprit.

If you want to avoid E. coli infection, cook your food well, wash your hands after touching

animals or going to the bathroom, and make sure you always drink uncontaminated water.

There's a good reason why we wash our hands often throughout the day.

Bugs are everywhere, and you never know, if you don't wash frequently or clean all your

small skin abrasions, you might even come into contact with the bug "staphylococcus

aureus", which has been known to cause "Necrotizing Fasciitis", also called flesh-eating disease.

There are literally thousands of kinds of bacteria lurking all over the house, so the

best you can do is keep the place clean.

The New York Times in 2015 reported a study that found dangerous strains of bacteria on

many toilets seats.

These included E. coli, staphylococcus aureus, shigella and streptococcus.

The report stated that while you might wash your hands after going to the toilet, some

others don't, so the bacteria spreads to door handles or even the towel dispenser.

Ok, so now you are a cleaning maniac, scrubbing every surface in your house daily.

Only you should know that cleaning can also kill, if you don't do it right.

In 2018, that happened to a man in Illinois after he mixed bleach with a commercial drain

cleaner.

In fact, if you didn't already know, there are lots of household cleaning products that

you really shouldn't mix.

The CDC actually writes about this problem, stating that soap and water is often all you

need.

It gives some strong words of advice, "Never mix bleach with ammonia or any other cleaner."

You can read forums on the issue of what happens when you do.

Some people believe the gas created can be deadly, others disagree, but everyone agrees

that it will surely make you feel very ill if you breathe in the concoction.

So, clean a lot, be clean, and be careful how you clean.

Now the you have cleaned your bathroom and are feeling secure, you take a nice, safe

bath…Well, bathtub drowning is more common than you think.

Accidents do happen.

PolitiFact actually looked at the numbers of bathtub deaths in the U.S. after someone

had said on TV that bathtub death was more common than accidental gunshot death.

It isn't, but still, the last available statistics said in 2011 that there were 95

bathtub drownings in the U.S.

The CDC reports that indeed, for people who may have seizures, the bathtub can be a dangerous

place, but drowning in the house pool also leads to lots of American deaths, 80 percent

of which are male.

In another report by The Consumer Product Safety Commission, it was stated that from

2006 to 2010 there was a total of 434 bathtub deaths in the U.S., but most of those involved

young kids.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Japan has more bathtub deaths, with nine out of

ten drownings happening to people over 65.

The report stated 4,866 people drowned to death in a bathtub in 2014, up seventy percent

over ten years.

The CDC also puts falls as one of the leading causes of accidental death, and guess which

room sees the biggest number of these falls?

You guessed it, the bathroom.

Apparently getting out of the bath is statistically way more dangerous than getting in.

With that dangerous bathtub and all those diseases lurking around the toilet, you might

want to head to another room.

You go to the kitchen, a place full of sharp knives and things that can burn you.

It's also a place that hides potentially dangerous things you eat.

As you'll know from our other shows, overdoses of people taking opiate pain medications has

shot up in the U.S. lately, but did you know acetaminophen overdose leads to hundreds of

yearly deaths in the U.S. alone.

So just be careful when taking your Tylenol.

And if we are talking about the dangers of eating, that isn't always related to what's

in the food.

According to Injury Facts 2017, choking accounted for 5,051 deaths.

The Daily Mail reported that in England, Scotland and Wales, choking deaths were up 17 percent

in 2016, leading to 289 deaths.

The blame for most deaths was people just eating too fast.

The American Academy of Pediatrics says hotdogs are especially dangerous and should come with

a warning label.

Time wrote a report in 2010 stating choking death in children was 17 percent of the time

hotdog-related.

It seems staying home is just too dangerous.

So, you go outside.

You don't drive, because you know road accidents are high on the list of number of accidental

deaths.

It's not like you'll get caught up in a hurricane because you just checked the weather

on your smartphone…while you were walking down the street.

In fact, if you don't give yourself the opportunity to be poisoned, crash a vehicle

or fall down in a dangerous spot, then you are avoiding the brunt of ways you might accidentally

die.

As NBC wrote in 2016, "In 1999, overdoses, poisonings and falls accounted for one in

four accidental deaths.

Now, they are more than half of them."

They also stated what we said, and that is that the bathroom is one very dangerous place.

But now there is an even newer nuisance, a danger that looks so innocent.

That is death by selfie.

In fact, selfie deaths have become so prevalent you can now see a dedicated Wikipedia page.

The Telegraph cited a report that said there were 127 reported "selfie deaths" between

March 2014 and September 2016, but more than half of them happened in India.

Next was Pakistan (9), USA (8), Russia (6) and Philippines (4).

In June 2017, the Irish Times called this "Death by Narcissism", stating, "Twenty-nine

people have died while taking selfies in 2017.

Only five have died in shark attacks."

The deaths included cliff falls, driving accidents and one man falling from a building.

The craze is so bad in India that in Mumbai they now have "no-selfie zones".

We also don't need to tell you that many accidents happen when people are just looking

at their phone, texting and swiping, when they should be concentrating on what is in

front of them.

The National Safety Council in 2017 said the sad thing is, just about everything we have

mentioned in this show today that led to someone's death was preventable.

In the U.S. alone, that was 442 lives each day in 2016 that could have been saved.

Have you almost died doing something we talked about today?

Let us know in the comments!

Also, be sure to check out our other video called This is how u will die!

FluteTips 28 Getting Back in Shape - Duration: 1:40.

FluteTips 28 Getting Back in Shape Today's flute tip is how to get back in shape

after you've had time off.

When you've had time off, or say you've been sick, or if you've had surgery, or, in my

case, having four children in five years, I definitely had some time off in there, and

now you need to get back in shape.

It's very discouraging.

You pick the flute up and you start practicing.

What you need to do is not listen to yourself, even if that means you need to put earplugs

in your ears, so that you don't listen to yourself.

What it's all about is technique, technique, technique, technique.

Do all of your technical exercises, your Taffanel and Gaubert, your Trevor Wye finger exercises,

your Moyse exercises, all of those that are just plain technique.

Then, when you're bored with that, then you take out all of your etude books that you've

ever used, and you just systematically go through them.

When you're trying to get back in shape, it's about quantity of time, not necessarily quality

of time.

You're just trying to get these muscles, right here, to get remember how to play again, what

they're supposed to do, the shape they're supposed to take, and doing all of that technical

stuff, where you're just playing, playing, playing is the quickest way to get them to

remember what they're supposed to do.

Don't listen to your sound.

Just play technique.

That's today's flute tip.

How To Get Inspired To Write - Duration: 15:02.

I've got James Garrett with me today at Live On Purpose TV to help us know how

to find inspiration for writing.

Where does the inspiration come from?

Well maybe that's not what we're going to answer today but how do we get that inspiration?

I brought in an expert. This is James Garrett, he and I did an episode recently

t Live On Purpose Radio and James, you said a few things to me in that interview

that I thought it would be totally relevant to this particular topic. Can you see

that? - Yeah. - You're an expert in, shall I say positive psychology and how to

operate the equipment of your own brain,

is that fair? - That's my passion. Yeah, that's what I love is, how did you get

this thing to work better. - So you shared with me on the radio that there

are basically two modes of brain functioning, that simplifies it a lot and

I know that but I think it's a useful model. Could you share that with with our

listeners today? - Sure, yeah. So they're basically two primary modes of

attention that your brain goes between, right. One is like a stand task

mode, sometimes psychologists call it executive mode this is any time you have

to put mental effort into something so if you're concentrating, you're focusing

and writing that email, even in this conversation we're having an

executive mode. - Right, we're carrying out a task, it's very focused and

intentional. - Yeah, it requires you to direct your attention to something,

you're paying attention, right? The other primary mode of your attention that

your brain goes into is something called creative mode or mind-wandering mode.

- Interesting. Mind wandering, that almost has a negative connotation to it.

- Yeah, well we've stigmatized. - At least traditionally, right?

- That's right. - Okay but you're you're labeling at first creative mode

and then you've added this mind wandering part so take us through

that little bit. What is that? - So if you were to look this up, look

in the science, you would find it as mind wandering, that's what

psychologists call it. The word I like to use is creative mode, some people call it

imagination mode. Scott Barry Kaufman, a psychologist at UPenn, calls it

imagination mode but basically this is what your mind does when you don't

require it to do anything at all. - Oh, gotcha. - So if you're going for a drive,

it's not traffic, it's not stressful on a country road. - Kind of on

autopilot. - Yeah you just, you're making small adjustments to the wheel

whatever. What is your mind doing? It thinks about what you want for breakfast.

- It's wandering. - Right? And then that reminds you of a

conversation you have with your spouse and then that reminds you, oh yeah, I need

to pick up this thing at the store, it's literally just wandering around. - It's

going from one thing to the next. - Yes, so we have this kind of weird model with the brand,

like an intuitive model that we're not working, that our brain turns off like a

light switch and the correct metaphor is actually to switch the light

switch sideways and to flip it side to side so if you're in an

executive mode, the good news is your brain actually never turns

off, it always is working. - It's always on. - So it will be in this executive mode

which is where most of us spend most of our time in a given day but also when

you let it rest, when you give it a break, it flips to this mind wander, your

creative mode. Well we didn't really know what was going on until the last five or

ten years in this other mode in fact, we you know, just like you said, we kind

of stigmatized, we thought, well this must be a waste of time and in school of

course we would say, oh, that kid is daydreaming. - Because it doesn't feel

like we're on task and in fact, we're not. - We're not being unproductive.

- But we're not being unproductive, it's not on task the way we're used

to thinking about being productive so what you're saying is this is a

very important aspect of our creativity that's which ties right in to our

question, how do I get inspiration for writing?

So you're saying let your mind wander a little? - That's right, that's

exactly right and what you want to do is you want to go between these two modes

in a given day. So you want to spend say 90 minutes in executive mode and

then switch step away from the computer or your desk and go for

on purpose and go for a walk for 30 minutes, right?

Or maybe you take a big break in the afternoon when your energy is low

anyways and and if you look at artists and scientists and inventors and all

these folks who we've you know, we say wow they've really contributed something

amazing to society, you find these very similar patterns, they work really

intensely in the mornings, right. They have some morning ritual, they go

through and then they have this, you know, three to four hour block of time

where they and they'll take little breaks in between but this is their, this

is their executive mode, this is when they're in writing mode if it's writing

and then their afternoons don't look like what we usually think of

as work, they go for walks, they take naps, they socialize, they hang

out. - This is sounding fun. - That's good, right? - Hey, but that's part of the deal right?

- That is part of the deal.

- You know what James, I say this all the time, if we're not having fun, we're

doing it wrong, right? But you're saying okay, so this switches our

brain into a different mode and if we're looking for that creative edge, that

what we're doing really is empowering our own brain to provide us with exactly

what it is that we're looking for but we have to get it out of that other mode

first. - Because your brain operates differently in these two modes so

when you go into creative mode, your brain activates something called the

default mode network. Default mode network, it's a series of regions

in your brain that it basically turns on when you go into this mode and quiets

down the concentration or attentional parts of your brain. - Traditionally right behind your

forehead, the prefrontal cortex. - That's right.

So it quiets those down and activates this totally different part of your brain and

as it does that, these parts of your brain are much better at, they're much

freer with how they're organizing information, they have.. - Well they

have a different job. - They have a different job.

They're actually more playful with ideas so as your mind is wandering,

it's not linear and logical, it sort of feels random as you're doing it

but there is vast processing happening that's even unconscious that you don't

even experience and in that, but all we experience is the moment of insight,

the epiphany. - When it clicks. - When it clicks but what we don't realize is

that your brain unconsciously has been really trying to solve that problem for

hours, maybe even days, maybe even weeks. - And it's looking around in places that

you wouldn't have thought to send it. - That's right. - Because that's

what these other parts of your brain do, that's what their job is. - When you want

to do an executive mode, it's basically two things.. You want to learn the domain,

okay. So if your expertise is psychology, if your expertise is nutrition, if it's

medicine, it doesn't matter, whatever it is, you just want to

keep pumping your brain full of good information by reading, by downloading

you know, educational content, whatever that is.

So you want to learn, you want to pack with good information and you also want

to clearly define the problem that you're working on, like what..

- What structured part of all this? - Yeah, and this is why

you want to get to clear any about what you're trying to solve,

whether it's a structure for how to, whether it's the central thesis of what

you're writing about, whether if it's fiction, if it's a character that

you just know needs to be there but you can't quite figure out the dimensions or

are the complexities of that character, what is the problem that you're

fixing? Oftentimes it's more than one problem, right? But if you can define

that in executive mode and then just let it be and go for a walk. - Step back from it.

- Yeah, you don't want to keep trying to figure it out at the computer. I always

ask people, where do you have your best ideas and nobody ever says behind my

computer, right? - You know what, it usually is like in the

shower or while I'm walking the dog or just before I'm ready

to fall asleep. - Everybody says that. - And you're

saying this is because of the way our brain is organized and the

way that it functions. - That's right. Yes, so you have vast untapped powers

of creativity but because of these modes, that switch metaphor is

apt because when it's in one mode, it actually cannot be in the other mode,

they're mutually exclusive so in order to actually really access all of your

creative potential, it's like a requirement to go into creative mode or

minor mode, it basically go back and forth between

these because if you don't, if you stay at that computer and you're just trying

to figure that out, you're closing the window on the

creative side of your brain in the name of being productive. - Could you just

share one other thing with us that you've shared with me

before but I think this is important for you too because what you shared with

me, James, is that it's kind of like fueling and depleting or charging.

Remember what you shared about that? And the two different modes, could you share

that as well? Because I think that's relevant. - So your brain works a lot like

your cellphone battery so when you wake up in the morning, you basically got

a full charge, you know, if you didn't sleep well maybe you've got 70% or 80%, right?

Or maybe 50. - We're assuming they've charged up.

- Maybe if the kids are interrupting at night, maybe it's 50. - Yeah, exactly.

But in general, right, we're got 100% charge. So you wake up and then throughout

your day, you're literally using up mental energy.

- You can see the little battery icon shrinking. - Yeah, that's right.

And this is why late at night we get more irritable, this is why we

get hangry right before dinner. - Executive functioning that that

attention part of your brain is an energy hawk, it's gobbling up your

battery, that doesn't mean don't use it I mean, that's what it's

there for, that's what it's there for but it is depleting

your battery. - Yeah, and it's also responsible for self-control attention

so that all of those executive functions are all right behind your forehead

so as you're using up, you know, think of it this way, it's only

one single battery whether it's resisting brownies,

whether it's staying

focused on a difficult task for a long period of time, whether it's controlling

negative emotions and not just letting yourself unleash on somebody you're

angry at, all of that requires, all that draws on the same takes power, mental

battery, it requires physical neurotransmitters to do that work and as

you use them up, your battery goes low, this is why writers write in

the morning. Look at Stephen King or any of these really famous writers, the

reason they all write in the morning, there's a really great book called How

Artists Work which profiles a lot of very famous writers, the reason is

they've got their best most concentrated like power energy

in the morning. - In the morning. That's true for me, I've written all of my books

before 7 a.m. so I'm hearing you. We've got

another video and you guys, there's more than what I want to talk to

James about, we'll put that in another video about enhancing performance and so

you might want to check that one out as well. To wrap this one up, I think as

we understand that our brain has these two functions and we need of both,

right? This executive functioning, that paying attention it sort of drains

the battery, the mind-wandering part recharges. - It recharges the battery.

- Recharges it and so, how about we get past the guilt and shame of taking a

walk or taking a nap and there's other brain friendly practices

that we can do, we'll address those in that in the other video. How do you

get inspiration for writing? Get into that part of your brain and let it

wander around a little bit and then the executive part will structure it and

order it for you, it says it should be. - And when you're in creative mode, always

walk with a notebook and a pen. - Oh, just to capture. - Because you will have these

little micro ideas again and again and again and creativity isn't, it

doesn't hit you as a fully fleshed out idea, it hits you as thousands of

little micro ideas and if you don't capture those when you have them, you

will lose them.- Just capture, don't process.

I don't ready to please sense, it's like freeform writing but

just capture it as you're in that creative moment, it's critical. - Wow, that's

awesome. Hopefully that's going to help with the

inspiration part of things. Thanks, James. What I love about James's

material is he to learn how to operate the equipment of

our own brain, get it working for us. If you liked this episode, please share it

How to Make Great Films – The One Thing You MUST HAVE for Good Videos - Duration: 4:04.

What is it that makes a great film, and what do you need to make sure your films

are great too? Answer is coming up now.

Hey everyone, Camber here coming at you from Mississippi, and welcome to the

beginning. "The beginning of what?" The beginning of a channel that is dedicated

to teaching you all about filmmaking so that you can go from knowing absolutely

nothing about taking video with your camera to being able to make awesome

videos that people will even pay you for. So if that's you, consider subscribing

because we've got a lot of great content to come. So let's jump right into it.

There is so much equipment to consider when it comes to making films. I mean

you've got your camera. You've got your lenses. You've got tripods, monopods,

sliders, gimbles, lights, microphones, diffusers, reflectors, filters, drones.

So what is it that makes a good film?

I've got a secret for you.

It's none of that stuff!

The most important part of filmmaking is none of that equipment

that you get. It's not the gimbals, the tripods, the cameras, the microphones,

the filters, any of that stuff. The most important part of filmmaking; the one

thing you have to get right is your STORY. Before we keep going disclaimer,

I know there's gonna be people out there that say your film can get ruined by bad

lighting, bad framing, bad music, whatever. And I agree. A good story can be ruined

by having bad lighting, bad framing, bad camera moves, bad audio. Tons, a ton of variables.

However, you can't fix a bad story just by having the best equipment,

huge crews, or having a latest red 8k camera. If all it took was the best

equipment, we wouldn't have films like this happen:

or this:

or this:

So the most important part of filmmaking is the story because we are

first and foremost storytellers. Instead of writing our stories in a book, we're

putting it up on a screen for people to see. There's a ton of variables; we're

gonna learn the technicals on how to make your story look good, but you have

to start with that baseline of having a good story for it to be a good film.

So what is it that makes a good story? How do we know if it's good?

Think about your favorite films.

So story is the most important building block of films,

and we're gonna go into breaking down stories later on and seeing what is

it that makes these good stories. For now I'll just leave you this link here.

You can go check out Darious Britt. He's got a lot of great videos talking about story

structure, breaking down different movies, telling how they work and what is it

that drives that story and makes it good. So check it out; that's great resource.

But as we go into picking cameras, lens choice, all the different variables

of your camera. Learning how to use those tools to further your story, to better

tell your story so that you can turn that story into an awesome film.

So everyone, if you made it this far go ahead and hit that thumbs up.

Leave a comment down below of what your favorite film is and why. I'd love to hear what

your favorite stories are. Subscribe if you haven't, and remember that the only

way to get better at something is to practice.

So get out there and film something

See you soon.
