Whiplash Car Accident - Duration: 8:08.
If you get a whiplash in a car wreck you can get symptoms such as pain headaches
dizziness etc but I'm gonna tell you the real reason that you need to be
concerned stay tuned I am Dr. Ekberg with Wellness For Life
and if you'd like to truly master health by understanding how the body really
works make sure that you subscribe and hit
that notification bell so that you don't miss anything people in a car accident
they're often told that they get a whiplash and they they have neck pain
and the whiplash caused that but what is it so let's talk about the mechanics in
a car accident a little bit so you're sitting at a traffic light for example
and someone hits you from the back so what that means is that your body is
still but the car gets pushed out from under you so your body moves forward and
your head is sitting still and your head your brain perceives that as the body is
leaving and the head is getting left behind and the brain says this can't be
good and the head weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of a bowling ball and
it's suspended on this flimsy little neck by muscles so when the head gets
left behind the brain is gonna try to keep up with the body so it starts
contracting the muscles on the front but because the head is so heavy and this
impact is so sudden there's no way that these muscles can keep up with that
tremendous force so what happens then is the muscles get micro-tears you start
tearing little fibers within the muscle and then if you have a headrest that's
properly positioned meaning kind of high up hopefully then
the headrest will catch the head and you're not going to get an excessive
extension of the head because that could be really damaging so make sure that you
have your headrest in a proper high position
but then the head bounces on the headrest and then it starts going
forward so first the head was moving back then it bounces and now it starts
moving forward and now the same procedure happens again but in Reverse
so the muscles on the back of the neck contract to try to keep the head from
falling off the shoulders going forward so first you get some little micro tears
in the front and then you get little micro tears in the back and these tears
they're sort of like a really hard workout if you've ever had one of those
you know that you feel a little stiff the first day you feel really stiff on
the second day and then it culminates the worst stiffness the soreness is
somewhere between 48 to 72 hours so that's why when you've been in a car
accidents that's where the stiffness and inflammation is the worst either of
those things is not a terribly big deal because your body can fix that your body
can heal micro-tears it can get rid of the inflammation and so forth but here's
why we need to be concerned first we need to talk about how does the body
normally work how does the brain and normally control the body well we have
something called proprioception that's feedback so the brain controls the body
but the brain needs information from the body so if you move your hand then it's
the brain sending the signals but the hand has to tell the brain exactly
what's going on so that the brain can manage that precisely if the brain gets
accurate information accurate feedback the brain can do a precise job of
controlling it same thing happens with the muscles in the neck but
in a whiplash you have trauma you have impact you have inflammation you have
micro tears so you get really really stiff and for a few days or even a
couple of weeks after you move really really stiff and things aren't moving so
well so it's the movement that normally provides the information that gives the
brain an accurate picture of what the world looks like and the combination of
the trauma from the whiplash and the stiffness that keeps you from moving
much means that you have a reduced amount of feedback to the brain and you
have distorted information so now the brain does not have a true or accurate
or sufficient picture of what the world looks like so after a couple of weeks
you may have less of a stiffness you may recovery may feel pretty good hey it
wasn't so bad I'm feeling 80% better but you've set yourself up for a vicious
cycle because that reduced information that inaccurate perception of the brain
can come back to haunt you years months and years later so a lot of people they
don't really have a problem with it for several years but then two years three
years five years down the road now they start having some issues and at that
point it's hard for most people to link it back to the car accident but once we
find people with arthritis or stiff neck poor curbs poor posture there's almost
always one or several whiplash accidents in several years prior to that so that
is why I strongly recommend that you would get some good quality chiropractic
care after you've had a car accident whether you have any pain or not there
has been a distortion those signals and it's in your best
interest to get that taken care of and if you get some chiropractic treatment
make sure that you don't just get enough to feel a little better make sure that
you get enough care that you restore all of those signals so that you have a
correct and true picture represented in the brain from all of that feedback so
that means all of the muscles the anterior scalenes the
sternocleidomastoid muscles the extensor muscles they should all be firing
perfectly which we can test through applied kinesiology you should have a
perfect range of motion you should restore the range of motion so when you
rotate your head and look to the side or when you tilt your head to the side or
when you bend it forwards or backwards all of those ranges of motions should be
restored and there should be no pain or stiffness associated with that that's
how you know that you have reset all those communication pathways and you're
not gonna get any issues with this years down the road so if you know someone who
has been in a car accident recently or even months of years before share this
information with them so that they can learn the consequences and how
everything functions and how chiropractic and even nutrition can be
very beneficial to resolve that those problems if you're new to this channel
and you enjoy this kind of information make sure that you subscribe and hit the
notification bell so that you don't miss anything thanks for watching

Schlubs Studios: Don't Give Up On your Ideas - Duration: 3:49.
Well we can't let the discourages get the best of us. When we have an idea and
we believe with our whole being that it will work, we need to keep doing it until
we succeed if someone says no keep asking other people into you you hear a
yes. Don't let them kill your idea.
Hello everybody and welcome to Schlubs Studios
I'm Elizabeth Childs and this is Joanna Shalom. Hi everybody!
So we've been talking about how people- there are two kinds of people in this
world, encouragers and discouragers. The encouragers,
you know typically try to encourage people to pursue their ideas and
discouragers- well you know, you get the drift. But what I was telling her is
that we can't let discouragers get the best of us when we have an idea and we
believe with our whole being that it will work. We need to keep doing it until
we succeed if someone says no, keep asking other people in to you hear yes.
Don't let them kill your idea. What I say is keep working at it until you have
perfected it. The inventor of the video doorbell called Ring was told no on the
show called Shark Tank, but he did not give up he kept pursuing his idea
because he believed in it and now he just recently sold it to Amazon.
Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who gives me
strength. So what I'm saying to you is you can do this!

When You Feel Like No One Likes You (Watch This Video) - Duration: 3:32.
Heya playa, have you ever felt like you weren't good enough?
Like people wouldn't be able to accept you for who you are?
Well, that's what glowstonemike was saying when he wrote "I only feel doomed because
I have asthma, autism, adhd and depression and no one wants a person with all of that."
Glowstonemike, I know where you're coming from but I have a few tips to help you break
out of that mindset and realize that you're someone that matters.
This is The Josh Speaks.
You're watching The Josh Speaks.
For those of you that are new here, my name is Josh and I make videos every Monday through
Friday sharing tips, ideas and stories teaching you how to be your best self.
And learning to accept yourself for who you are can be difficult if the people around
you just ain't having it.
It seems like it's human nature to compare yourself to other people.
It helps you get a better understanding of where you stand in relation to everyone else.
But the problem we run into is that we see the standard of people around us as being
the "norm" and anything outside that standard as being "abnormal".
And this is just a bad way to see the world, just because something isn't the standard
doesn't mean it's not normal.
Take for example people who wear glasses versus people who don't or people who wear braces
versus people who don't.
The majority of the people in the world don't have braces or glasses but it doesn't make
them any less normal.
So if we toss that word normal out for a second, we then start to see that every single person
is an individual.
They have their own stories, their own experiences and their own life.
And it's just the truth, there are no two people in this world who have the exact same
story.
So, everyone is writing things in their own way as they go along.
And in your case, there's no one else in this world exactly like you.
You carry your own thoughts, and feelings and beliefs and experiences with things and
no one can mimic that.
So if you're living the kind of life where the average person doesn't really understand
what you're going through, maybe they've never experienced a mental illness, a physical illness,
nervousness, depression, anxiety or any of these things that doesn't make you any lesser
than them.
Now I know what you're thinking, why would someone ever want to be around a person who's
experiencing stuff like this.
Why wouldn't they just go for someone who's totally normal who doesn't have anything to
worry about.
The fact of the matter is that everyone is carrying their own level of weight in this
world so no matter who you talk to, you're never going to get this normal "ideal" person.
Everyone has their own things that they're experiencing.
So, if you feel hopeless that no one is ever going to accept you for who you are, there's
one thing you really need to do.
And that's to take some time to accept yourself for who you are.
Your struggles and your challenges are not what defines you, but how you persevere despite
all of them.
Change your focus from being about that perfect partner that everyone wants to being what
you have to offer.
Your unique qualities and your best self that other people can connect with.
Because there are people out there who could really benefit from hearing your experiences
and being around you to soak up your strength and your courage.
Those are the things that you have to offer.
What do you think though, do you feel like people will never be able to accept you for
who you are?
Leave your comments down below and we'll talk about it.
Now this is a heavy subject so if you want to talk about it in a more private setting,
you can always shoot me a DM over on Snapchat or Instagram.
I do my best to answer as many messages as I can.
Otherwise thank you so much for watching.

VIDEO GAMES that you would NEVER WANT TO FINISH ... - Duration: 10:54.
There are video games we would not want never finish. Games that you feel
belong ... universes where you feel good. This is the tour de force of the video game:
more than cinema or literature, because he forces you to act, he knows
take you away, make you live things that you will never live. So, get ready
on the big trip, we will talk today of these works that make you love the video game.
The Witcher 3.
Last year I made a big Bike tour through Italian Tuscany,
the south of France and the Swiss mountains.
I had only one music in my headphones : the one we hear when the sun
lies down in the DLC Witcher 3, Blood and Wine. No other game has given me so much
desire to travel.
The region of Toussaint is an invitation in the summer; a fantasized South capable of
to make you forget the winter. While strolling in dry grasses it would almost feel
the sun beating on his skin, the olive scent and the reassuring sound of crickets.
Are you, too, already happened to ask you a few minutes in
a video game, just to look at the sky, herbs that quiver or a stream
to hit the stones of polygons?
Video game designers sometimes think about it. For example in Skyrim! A huge world
which seems interminable. And yet. There is has ONE SINGLE AND UNIQUE LOCATION ... where you can
to observe ... an anthill. A detail lost in nature, useless otherwise for his
message: the world lives outside of you, at the scale of a map like that
of a microcosm.
Of all my favorite games, there is almost always the call to nature: where should
I say, to contemplation:
The colossal mountains of a sealed world in Shadow of Colossus; the deserts of a
civilization destroyed in Horizon Zero Dawn ; the opportunity to climb to the top of
any mountain in Breath of the Wild; or Xenoblade Chronicle with this
dizzy to be a microbe on the body of a world god.
We could have made these games tables from Friedrich; a traveler contemplating the
vast world; the poetry of a sunset sun that warms your heart.
The game that pushes this logic to the maximum it's Journey - English trip. You
have no purpose. Otherwise, far away you see the mountain. And she attracts you.
You want to go there, climb it.
A wandering and walking simulation that only lasts a few hours, but that summarizes
everything I love in video games.
But unfortunately all these worlds are finished. And when comes the end of the map. The
message "you can not go further". Reality catches up with us: we are here,
in our rooms, and we may never see more than 1% of all that
the real world has to offer us.
Undertale The attachment to the characters.
Have you ever fallen in love with a character video game? I remember younger
to have been twice: with Marle in Chrono Trigger, and Arche in Tales of Phantasia.
And I typed good big tseg his mother !
Good on a pixel porridge ugly but that you want, at the time we had
imagination.
For others it will be Aeris in Final fantasy 7, Lara Croft of Tomb Raider and
boys too, it's just that I get there know less. Do not hesitate to tell me
your virtual love stories.
Love, yes. But in video games, we can also cry. I was on Skies
of Arcadia, an RPG of pirates sailing the island in floating island on the clouds. And we focus
to the characters. Until you finish the game, and discover the fate of all the characters
: some have become princes, dancers, artists, loving parents and then
...
My favorite playable character, Drachma: "few after the great battle died as a sinner
happy.". That, the music and the fact of to leave this universe forever, it had me
melted in tears, inconsolable days during.
In short, all this to tell you that sometimes to end a game is to leave friends,
loves. Eros, Philia and Agape. A game plays wonderfully on it: Undertale.
I'm not a big fan of the game, but we do not not going to lie to himself: he scored at once
a generation, and the history of video games. He has the ability to render his characters
living. When a monster attacks you, you can kill them or choose to help them, this
which is unique in an RPG. Each character to his own attack set, forcing you
to adapt your gameplay; some have a different writing font when ALL
we have a musical theme of their own. Understand now why on Youtube
you can find 30,000 cartoons on each character; they are simple
boss, but they have their story. And when the game ends, your friends, you leave them
for ever. Obliged for the bravest to restart the game in genocide mode where
you must kill EVERYONE to discover the real end boss. Suffice to say, a tear
that some do not manage to pass.
Yes, we focus on the game characters video ; to the ambiguous friendship of the two
characters in Life is Strange; to destiny tragedy of a child in Walking Dead
; to the dream of a dying man in To the Moon. And also more lightly to his Pokémon.
What a joy to turn on his gameboy 10 years later, and recover his safeguard with his Charizard
and Mewtwo level 100. The happiness of a reunion as if
When for others the backup battery is dead, and your monsters lost forever.
Grand Theft Auto 5.
Cinema, reality TV, Instagram sucks your energy. Whenever you turn off
your screens ... you feel bad: the other people's lives, when you take away poop
to the toilet, makeup time and the 30 minutes to pose, bah she
is always better than yours.
And video games do not derogate. In finishing GTA 5 I felt bad. I have
robbed banks, rolled at 200 per hour, drives helicos and I even became
a star. Then everything stops. The game ends, you wake up at your house, in your beautiful house,
you're a millionaire ... and there's more nothing to do. More missions, nothing. So
you are trying things, you are looking for missions Secrets on the Internet, You're Inventing Them
own quests. You became the one you you will never be, and here you are suddenly
with a real life less boring than the character of the game
It often happens that after a cutscene end, you suddenly find yourself with the desire
to live it in real life. I'm ready to bet that a lot of student lawyers today
were players fond of the Phoenix saga Wright. A game where you play as a lawyer
and that makes you feel the spice thrill of the defense of a client. Once
console off, you stumble on the first forum come, and you are flying in the hope
to have a debate and make this music roar in your heads.
Even without having such an enviable life, the time can make you merge with life
from someone, I will take my case with Persona 5 that I finished recently after a
a good hundred hours. Already pretty trick deceive the game you swing from the beginning it
there will be an end: you are in Shibuya for a year after a jostling with a politician
crooked that led you to be in turnaround judicial. Throughout this year you
follow the life of a high school student without any control over time: raised early in the morning,
school day, text messages that we read scred in class, buddies, we get
friends, we have fun with and in the evening we share fly people's hearts by killing people
demons in passing. Then when comes the end of the game, the end of the year, everything is back
in order. We'll have to ... go home you. A real tear that to leave
his friends and all those who accompanied you and loved all year. 100h of my life
become a whole year in my heart, it's the prowess of video games.
For some, diving into another life can make them forget the one more prosaically
biological ; to be a respected level 90 paladin at night and an office worker the day,
a dysphoria that can lead to a profound to be bad. To love the games too much, you can
to become drunk. But is it so different a snag to social networks?
Mass Effect 2.
Leave the earth is the opportunity to discover new planets, new
breeds and new way of thinking but above all, try to understand how
worlds different from ours.
See all this through a game it's absolutely enjoyable. And a title in
particular has bet on it: No man's Sky. A game whose sole purpose is to visit
new planets generated so procedural computer. And even if it's
beautiful, unfortunately, it does not work. The universe is so big that it's
becomes ridiculous, you can spend hours before finding any landscape that
worth it: pebbles, pebbles and more pebbles; we are far from paradise
trailers and necessarily the players have mouth. But finally, was not it
not a good metaphor for our universe ? A lot of empty, desert stones,
and sometimes, luckily, there is a little of life and magnificence. * put picture of
Earth*
But there are two series I love that have managed to integrate the discovery aspect
of New World while remaining consistent and especially by providing fun to play
: already, the trilogy Mass Effect obviously and especially the second episode.
Planets there are many, they are diversified, but that's not what we
remember these games, Mass Effect is played for his characters. Having some
alien breeds allows us to have discussions interesting with creatures that do not
think and do not feel like humans.
Because you can have the best writing possible if you create stories about
earth, it will be about humans with human problems. Science fiction
explodes that and Mass Effect is a very good example. I will always remember
the character of Tali, of a race having been chased from his planet by his own
machines, now living in ships traveling in space and having to wear
constantly combinations because of a immune system failing.
The second series of SF games that marked me it's the Metroid Prime. Here again
of planets to discover but it's up to total against current of Mass Effect, the scenario
is secondary, you are alone and absolutely everything wants to kill you on the planets that
you are visiting. We're never really immune in these games, it's dirty, it takes to
tripe, alternating between big moments of action pure and exploration what makes one
is still under pressure. We add to that very good gameplay and puzzles and that
gives us a series that I look forward to see Switch again.
Personally, I regret that no space game has not made me feel
the "sense of wonder"; a term difficult translatable that describes the emotion that you
feel about the immensity. Games in space are often more on the register
from the space battle to laser shot, or confined survival against monsters
aliens. There are probably things beautiful outside of our planet that
the human can not conceive. In the video game to make us dream, to put
our imagination in weightlessness.
The video game will have made us travel, fell in love and melted in tears. Not because
we are fragile individuals and socially disconnected; no. Because games are
great. Great for their ambition, their message, their realization and more than anything ... their
accuracy.
When a good movie ends, it's the end ; when a good book ends, it's the
end. Remember this sadness when you closed the last volume of Harry
Potter knowing that you'll never go again to reopen this world. But a game him, offers you
the opportunity to live a little longer in this universe that you cherish. Your games
favorites, you have finished them 100%, you have made sure to succeed all
the quests, complete any place of the map. One way to say that I have everything,
and now it's the end.

Project Hindsight: Haley on Winter and Midterms - Duration: 6:19.
- Hey everyone, it's Haley here again.
So today I just wanted to give you a bit of a life update,
so basically, what is today?
Today is February 26th, Monday, it is week seven,
so midterms are coming up.
I am have some this week and some next week.
So, yeah, I've just been preparing for that,
but today we did have no class,
and that is actually pretty, kind of a long story.
So the weather in Ohio has been absolutely insane,
so I think it was last Saturday, it snowed,
and I went home that weekend,
but it was snowing, like,
snowballs were falling from the sky.
Like it was huge, you know, snowflakes and everything,
and it snowed a lot.
And then I'm pretty sure that by Sunday or Monday,
it was all melted.
And the Tuesday it was 80 degrees,
which is just insane.
That never happens in Ohio in February.
It was just so crazy, everyone was outside,
everyone was excited.
I personally prefer cold weather.
I don't like to sweat, I like sweaters, and cozy clothes,
so I wasn't too happy about it, but everyone else was,
so whatever.
One of the things was like, our,
I live on the top floor of my building,
so you now know, heat rises, it was really hot in here,
and they also haven't turned on the air conditioning yet,
because obviously it's February,
and they can only do, like, heat or air at one time,
so it was extremely hot in here.
Me and my roommate had to go on a mission to get a fan,
but we did get one, so that's good.
Yeah, so that was crazy.
Like I was studying outside in February.
And then basically since Tuesday,
it's rained every single day.
I know in my hometown
that they are on the Ohio River,
and so they had a lot of problems with flooding,
they had to close down a lot of roads and stuff,
and then so Friday,
the Ohio University Emergency Alert System
emailed and texted everyone
that classes would be canceled Monday,
in anticipation of flooding that we were supposed to get,
and also high winds
that could possibly make power outages and stuff.
So they told people that if you can go home,
go ahead and do it, just to make everything safer,
'cause, you know, there might not be power
and all that stuff.
So a bunch of people did go home.
I didn't because I had to work
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday,
so I decided to stay here.
It did rain all day Friday and all day Saturday,
I'm pretty sure, but then Sunday
was when we were supposed to get a lot, a lot of rain,
that was supposed to cause all the flooding,
and then a lot of high winds, I guess, too.
But it did not rain one drop on Sunday.
So obviously they can't
undo canceling classes,
so classes were still canceled for Monday,
but obviously no one had to worry about being unsafe,
didn't have to worry about the power being out or anything,
so that was nice.
So now I just get a free day off on Monday,
which is today, so since I have two midterms tomorrow,
I'm basically spending my entire day off studying.
I actually got up early instead of sleeping in,
just 'cause I have so much to do,
because I've been procrastinating all weekend, oops.
So I have one midterm in my history class
that is actually, it's a really interesting class.
It's called History of the 1980s,
and our professors likes to call it
The Age of Regan and Madonna,
so we talk a lot about music in the '80s,
and how politics and all that, they all tied together.
So I have a midterm in that class tomorrow
and like a lot of history classes, it is an essay test.
So he gave us three prompts, and we have to,
I think there'll be two on the exam,
then we write about one.
So I'm just trying to write mock essays
for each prompt, basically, and then I can decide
which one I want to write for the exam.
So I've been doing that,
and also tomorrow I have a philosophy exam in my class
that's called Intro to Ethics,
and I'm not gonna lie, that class isn't my favorite,
but it is so interesting, but my test is multiple choice,
so that one will be a little bit easier,
I'm a little less nervous about it.
So yeah, that is my plans for the day, my day off,
and then I have to go to work at 7:45 tonight.
So that's what I'm doing.
I also have been, like yesterday,
I did a little spring cleaning,
since it is so warm already.
I don't know if it's gonna go back to winter weather,
like I said, it's Ohio, you honestly never know.
It could be 20 degrees next week, we'll see.
So just, if you're coming to Ohio University,
or if you're coming to visit Ohio, even,
make sure you check the weather.
And if you're coming to Ohio University,
bring clothes for all weather, even if it's, like,
one summer outfit in winter,
because the other day, I had almost nothing to wear,
because it was so hot, and like two days before that,
I was wearing my winter coat.
So you just need to be prepared
for all weather at all times.
So I hope you all are having a great day and great week,
and I will see you all on my next video.
Bye!
(upbeat music)

Then, there's the girl who loves brunch but is embarrassed to play into that stereotype
of a basic girl at brunch.
I can't believe he said that to you!
Oh my god!
Only at brunch!
Brunch, love it!
Okay, you guys, pipe down.
People are trying to eat.
But it's brunch.
With the girls.
I know, I know, it's just, I don't know.
I feel, just...
Brunch-ified?
Fabulous?
Basic.
I used to feel that way.
Me too.
Every time I would order the bottomless mimosa, I'd feel faceless.
Just being a part of this huge brunch machine, churning out obnoxious people every Sunday
morning.
I bought this shirt that said, "But first, Brunch," and I felt extremely ashamed.
I don't want to be defined by my weekend pleasures.
But then we realized, it's a time to celebrate the ordinary and reconnect with your favorite
girls.
You guys are right.
I love you!
Yay, to brunch!
*magic wand noise*
And then there's the people who go to brunch because they love each other and they want
to spend quality time together.
And let's face it.
That's pretty much everybody.
*Cheesy, Upbeat Music*

Where Can You Still Live For $10 Dollars A Day? - Duration: 6:46.
Budget travel has been around for a while.
For quite some time, travelers have been scouring the world for the next best destination, often
heading out on what The Lonely Planet used to call a shoestring budget.
Nowadays "digital nomads" fill forums with tales of where you can live like a king
on next to nothing, although that's obviously an exaggeration.
But today we'll show you how to travel cheap, in this episode of the Infographics Show,
Where can you still live on 10 dollars day?
Firstly, we should say that we acknowledge that there are plenty of people in poorer
countries living on less than ten dollars a day.
As you can see from our intro, this is not a show on the world's most impoverished
nations – we've already done that.
This is a show letting you know where you can take off and live, albeit frugally, on
just ten bucks a day.
According to Forbes, Bangkok is the most visited city in the world by tourists and has been
on and off for years.
The budget-minded traveler usually doesn't stay long as Bangkok can be as expensive as
any city in the west, if you want it to be.
Travelers might go up north to Chiang Mai, a destination often in the top ten of best
cities in the world to visit, and more often they go to the beach.
But can you live on ten bucks a day without having to resort to 'begpacking'?
Well, if you go to Bunchun Hostel in Chiang Mai next August, you can stay there for 120
baht a night, or about $3.80.
A street vendor will sell you a delicious rice dish for about a dollar, or even less,
so three meals a day brings you up to $6.80.
A shared taxi or Uber can get you across town for a dollar, and you still have enough left
for a beer at night.
It won't be easy, but you can get by in Travel and Leisure's 3rd best city in the
world to visit for a mere 10 bucks a day.
What about India?
The website "thebrokebackpacker.com" tells us that you could get by in India for as little
as five bucks a day.
How is that possible?
The site tells us you can get your own room, not a shared hostel room, for as little as
2 dollars a night.
They added that some are "dodgy".
Getting around by bus is very cheap, and according to globalprice.com you can get a cup of tea
for 16 cents, a Thali for 94 cents and a stuffed pancake (masala dosa) for less than a dollar.
So, you can eat enough in a day, but like Thailand, you'll be living without much
nighttime entertainment.
Staying in Asia, Cambodia is another amazing destination.
A contributor and expert budget traveler writing for The Huffington Post wrote that in the
country it's easy to find a hostel for $2 a night.
For $5 you can get a room for yourself.
He said he spent $1 per meal, and sometimes $2 for dinner.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to enter the famous Angkor Wat as that will set you
back $37 for a one-day pass.
Stay in the capital Phnom Penh, and you can easily get by on less than $10 a day.
Nearby, Vietnam and Laos can also be done on a shoestring budget, with the former being
slightly more challenging.
What about outside of Asia?
It can be more difficult, but here we should add that couch surfing is possible all over
the world.
This is where a host puts you up for free, but most of the time that only means the room
is free.
Check out couchsurfing.com and join.
Once that's done you are on your way to saving tons of money.
Blogger Nomadic Matt says that he traveled all over the world on less than 10 bucks a
day, but admits most of the time he was couch surfing.
He says, "I bought food in supermarkets and cooked by myself or with my hosts, never
drank in bars but in parks."
He also hitchhiked when traveling.
But, can you possibly visit Europe on a 10-buck budget?
According to a 2017 article in Time magazine, yes, you can.
The article states that a room for a night in Ukraine can be as little as $3.09, but
you'll pay slightly more for a meal in a cheap restaurant.
It's looks like you'll be shopping at the supermarket.
You might also get two rather unhealthy Big Mac meals per day, each costing $2.63, according
to Expatisan.
You can get a monthly public transport ticket for $12, so if you are supermarket shopping
you will still have enough money to buy a couple of 58 cent beers for the end of the
day.
What about seeing the Pyramids of Giza on less than 10 bucks a day?
Well, it will cost you over 6 bucks to see them, so you might have to save for that day
out.
Tripadvisor tells us there are loads of buses from Cairo to the Giza Pyramids and the trip
will cost you 2 bucks.
One writer said he was staying in a Cairo hostel for $2.21 per night, and while restaurants
are probably outside your budget at over 3 bucks for a cheap meal, he spent days gouging
on falafel, bread, and chips for only 50 cents a time.
Again, this could be much cheaper if you couch surf and shop in the supermarket, but even
if you don't it's doable on 10 dollars a day.
Ok, but we haven't mentioned the beach yet, and so many of you have paradise in mind for
10 bucks a day.
Some of the countries above, notably India, Thailand and Cambodia, have beach destinations
for that price if you choose the cheapest hostels.
You can forget couch surfing most of the time near the beach, and another thing to bear
in mind is the lack of supermarkets or even street food on more remote islands.
But if you venture out you will find where all the locals eat, the hotel staff, or even
the fisherman and the laborers.
The latter will be living on much less than you.
Just ask them, or follow the road to the local village that is sometimes hidden from tourists.
We looked on booking sites for the cheapest hostels in Bali, and if you go later this
year you can get a bed at the Morotai Camp Hostel for $4.47, but you might be sharing
that room with three others.
You'll get free wi-fi, free coffee and water, and importantly a shared kitchen with all
facilities.
You can also get a bicycle to use.
We looked to see if there is a nearby supermarket, and indeed there is.
Although, a cheap street stall will sell you something for $2, and a small beer will cost
you the same.
So, stick with the local "warungs" – small family run food stalls, and you can eat cheap.
The markets are obviously cheaper as the warungs buy from them.
So, there you go, you can stay in paradise, visit some of the world's greatest sites,
walk through ancient temples or just watch the world go by from your chair at a local
restaurant, all for less than 10 bucks a day.
Then again, if you couch surf, you could even stay in London, do all your shopping at the
budget supermarket Aldi, and still survive.
For less than 2 dollars you can buy a loaf of bread and a pack of ham at Aldi.
For $2.40 you can get a frozen pizza if you want diversity for dinner.
Admittedly, you'd have to walk everywhere and the only partying you'd be doing is
quaffing dubious discount drinks from your host's back garden.
Why not go crazy and buy four large cans of Taurus dry cider for $2.68.
Have you ever traveled on less than 10 bucks a day?
If so, tell is how you did it in the comments.
Also, be sure to check out our other video called What a Dollar Gets You Around the World!
Thanks for watching, and, as always, don't forget to like, share, and subscribe.
See you next time!
