Welcome to Entretenimentos Diversos. Let's talk about what the Golden Ratio is and what it's for!

Have you ever stopped to wonder what the Golden Ratio or the Golden Rule is and what does it exist for?

No? So let's know this and other curiosities!

Attention: The video is for informational purposes only!

The Golden Ratio:

The Golden Rule, Golden Ratio or Golden Number, is a mathematical constant, which is present in everything in the universe, from atoms, to the stars in the sky. The Golden Ratio is considered the rule of perfection, and everything that comes close to this rule becomes intrinsically beautiful, regardless of whether or not one knows this rule, for the visualization of that beauty occurs unconsciously.

This ratio is represented by the number: 1,618. Since we obtain it when we divide a line into two different parts, then we take the largest segment of that line and divide it by the smaller segment and...

the result will be equal to the value of the division of the whole line, by the larger segment.

In ancient Greece the mathematician named Phidias discovered this rule and chose the Greek letter: fi to represent the Golden Proportion, for this same letter was the first letter of his name, thus linking and eternalizing his name to this discovery. Being that the Greek mathematician Euclid of Alexandria was the first mathematician to report on this proportion in his work titled: The Elements, written around 2300 years ago.

Already in the early 13th century, Leonardo Fibonacci was an Italian mathematician, considered the first great European mathematician of the Middle Ages, and he discovered singular properties of a sequence of specific numbers and that the ratio between any pair of successive numbers, increasing proportion of the Golden Ratio.

The Fibonacci Sequence is as follows: sum the current number, with the last one and so the next number will be, being repeated the same way, with the next numbers. Let's see how the sequence is:

The ratio of a pair of successive numbers is the division of the number X, by the number predecessor to it, in the sequence. Therefore, if we take the 5 and divide it by the number 3, we will have the result: 1.6666 (that is, very close to the Golden Ratio number).

If the same calculation is made with the numbers of the sequence, 89 divided by 55, we will have the result: 1.6181 - even closer to the Golden Ratio. Therefore, the higher the numbers of that sequence, the closer the number of the Golden Ratio will be.

The Golden Ratio in everyday life:

When these numbers mentioned above are applied to the proportion of a rectangle, we will have what is known in mathematics as: Golden Rectangle. And from the Golden Rectangle, we will have the Golden Expiral, which can then apply or recognize the Golden Ratio in our daily life, since it now becomes visually descriptable.

Since everything that follows this proportion will become beautiful, for it will be automatically recognized, unconsciously by the human brain, as perfect. Remembering that no one created this pattern, they only recognized it mathematically, being this a recurring pattern in nature.

Curiosities:

Several scholars have used the Golden Ratio in their works, and it has also been widely used in the most famous art works in the world. Some references of thinkers who reflected and used this proportion: Plato, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Salvador Dali, among others. Some works that contain the Golden Ratio: Pyramids of Giza, the paintings Monalisa, The Vitruvian Man and The Last Supper of Leonardo Da Vinci, among others.

How to play piano with small hands - Duration: 5:52.

Hi Scott Houston here hey do you ever feel like your hands just aren't big

enough to play piano right I hear all the time from students "Scott my hands

just won't stretch far enough to play these four note chords or some of these

bigger things we're doing right" well you're not alone a lot of people think

that but I've got a few two or three pragmatic things I can show you that

ought to take care of that and make that a non-issue moving forward so let's

tackle that right now in this quick video

okay what we're going to tackle is this this issue that a lot of beginners

really feel like oh my hands too small I just have these you know little short

stubby fingers and Scott I watch your videos you have these long skinny

fingers and I'll never be able to do this right don't worry I don't have any

exorbitant long skinny fingers and you will be able to do this so let's dig

right in at the piano here so the issue is you know people will say no problem

playing these you know three note chords or a triad but the minute you

go to okay how about a c7 chord and then that also has this note attached right

these three plus a B flat on top well then all of a sudden uh-oh you know danger zone

thinking like oh my thumb's not long enough I'm never gonna get there right

and then you you try to get it played it's all messed up and you're giving

yourself the carpal tunnel and all that right well

relax here's something I need to show you listen to what this note sounds

like would you okay sounds good right now keep listening

hey it sounds exactly the same no matter where I'm playing it right well of

course it does well it's a weird thing beginners and I only know this from

having done this for so long a lot of beginning students have this tendency to

want to play way out on the keys they want to play way out on the ends and

what that does then when you have to use your thumb or your pinky if you're doing

something you know on a black note you're in deep trouble because

you got to wrench your hand all sideways well here's how you solve it as

ridiculously simple as this is just shove your hand away you know away from

you toward the piano an inch or two until your finger gets long enough to

play it piece of cake problem solved right that's it same thing happens if

your pinkies gonna play a black note like say you want to play a b-flat major

seven it's these four notes right so you're all good here and then

you think oh no oh you're you know trying to get your pinkie out there just

push your hand away a little bit just Zoop about an inch or two and just very

relaxing-ly will get there so point to be made with this is you should never

have your hands all wrenched around whether you're playing left or right

hand chords you should never have to do that it's just it should just you know

be this pretty straightforward relaxed thing and you may have to put your hands

forward a little bit but you can get to everything you need to like that so

that's one great thing all right so there's one issue just push your hands

away from you all right now here's another one um there are some times when

you're really like playing say you're splitting a chord over two measures

sometimes for like accompaniment reasons you do something like write

something like that or you just you know there's just some sort of a simple thing

you're doing well that's kind of a long stretch no doubt about it but the way

you can do it if you're ever really stretching longer than you can just

reach right just kind of - they called arpeggiate - just try to rock up to it from

the bottom just don't play them all together if you're trying to do this

just go like this instead

ba-dum right but you want to do it real fast and just do it with your pedal held

down and it'll just kind of fake everybody out so I don't care how

little your hands are you can always do that so just kind of rock back and forth

that's like the old octave trick when you want to play octaves if you have a

struggle with that for hand-size reasons just play one first and then the

other like that and you know if you need to you can move back and forth finally the

third thing you can always do if you really are still struggling is you can

always just play an inversion of a chord and I've got other videos about

inversions but basically when you invert a chord you just stack it in a different

order so for example that's and I wouldn't be doing this but I'm just

doing this so you can see all the notes cegb flat that's a c7 chord well if you

want to invert it you just take whatever's on the bottom and move up an

octave and put it on top well by doing that that's usually a much simpler thing

for a lot of people to play you know because they think it's well

it is it's a little bit closer together you can do it one more time and bring that

up here and play like this right that's like a closer hand position than having

to do this although frankly now that I taught you this trick about moving your

hand away this should never give you fits again so there you have it so a

couple two or three solutions I promise that you don't have excessively short

hands it's funny I did live workshops a lot in the past and people always walk

up to me after workshop with kind of a funny look and it was like a scientist

like a Star Trek thing a Vulcan thing they'd walk up and do this to me

they'd be like put your hand up here I want to see how big my hand is compared to

yours and you know invariably it was you know minute differences but yeah the

point to be made here it's just either push your hand away from you or use your

pedal but I would be really stunned assuming you're over the age of you know

ten or eleven maybe if you're a really young kid that's an issue but once you

get to be adult age it's it's normally not an issue it's just a function of

learning a few of these tricks so enough of that hopefully that puts another

little issue to bed and as always have fun playing piano

MARCH IPSY UNBOXING! - Duration: 13:19.

Now I gotta clean up my mess -_-

hey guys welcome to my channel i'm ashlyn thomas and today i'm going to

TOMAS? I'm Ashlyn Tomas?

today we're going to be doing an Ipsy unboxing so

*eye roll and sigh*

I'm tired guys just got back from school

today's March 16th and I got my Ipsy

yesterday but I was gonna.. you know do another Ipsy unboxing for March

Um I don't have any makeup on right now except for mascara so if there's anything you want

to test you know I got a face to test it on because I don't have a lot of makeup on

So here's my Ipsy.. so you know what?! I need to get a thumbnail

*laughs weird*

laughs weird for a second time

*laughs weird for a third time* What the heck...

okay that's good

We are going to open this.. okay if you've watched the last one I'll put a card up here

I.. it was mostly..

me still struggling to open this stuff and I have a feeling this is

gonna be a part two of me struggling um first thing I see is..

these are sheet masks.

Oh. So cool I love face masks and stuff they're so nice to pamper yourself with

this is faith and face I want perfect makeup pearl cellulose sheet. (<K wtf is that?)

it's for poor care softening and moisturizing I'll show you guys what

this looks like let me turn off my light so it doesn't have a glare

This is what it looks like and they actually gave me two I wonder if that counts us two of my

things in my bag um I like this bag but I liked February more because I loved

it was just so simplistic and pretty I liked it a lot so let's see oh WELL dang this

looks like a lot more than five things probably isn't though okay cute bag got

everything in here so this is really tiny okay can't say the name of this cuz

we're not going to be PG I don't know why somebody makeup companies come up

with like names for their products that are so inappropriate

especially for like younger kids but this is by Tarte I'm just gonna like

bleep out, cut out the the first word it's

Sorry okay

it's blank kitten let's see

what this is I don't know what this is I'm so confused. Is this eyeliner?

I think this is eyeliner I don't wear a lot of eyeliner I only wear liquid eyeliner on

right up top but let's take a look at this this looks nice I like that it's

not like a just a pencil you can twist it this seems like a little bit easier

you know we're not gonna put it on my face because I don't need any eyeliner

right now but we'll test this on my hand because I'm going somewhere later oh wow this is

like smooth as butter like I'm barely putting any pressure I like that I don't

know why I smell makeup I did that in the last video - I like this I probably

use it that much because I don't use a lot of eyeliner but I do like it so on

the occasions where I want to use it I will definitely use that this is

beautiful this is like a rose gold or gold something it has a wrapper on it

and I'm not very good with unwrapping stuff so let's hope this goes well for

for my unboxings (Ipsy unboxings) I really need to bring

scissors OKAY I'm so bad at this so concentrated concentrated concentrated I

say that concentration I got it this is contour cosmetics I love contouring what

is this this looks like a the same thing but like in a different color in a

different brand what is this I'm so confused

so confuzzled so confuzzled let's test it I don't know if this is a lip thing

watch this before your face or something and I'm putting it on my lips I don't

really care yeah it's the same exact color is my

natural lips that's okay I do like it though do a full face makeup and I want

to like just like a light line that lips say these look like little markers to me

that you get when you go to a restaurant and you're playing with markers or

crayons very very lost with this is this is it see create these are markers if

see what are you doing I'm so lost this is more of a video of me being confused

now okay you know we should probably read

this card let's see creet 8 - it's so weird create ok I'll read this kind of

like quickly and like shorten it this month turn yourself in your world into a

work of art redecorate your space mash up 2 lipsticks to blend your own custom

shade rethink your wardrobe pairing prints and combos you've never usually

try turn your Instagram pics into a real life gallery dust off your guitar and

start strumming dance sing sculpt right it's time to create your masterpiece so

I feel like this is more about creating and being creative and inspiring and

doing what you love to do I like that what is this ok this might be my

favorite thing this looks like something you contour or like highlight with and

I'm all about that contour highlight life I need scissors uh this is a joke

do they do this just to mess with me I have scissors for once I never have

scissors yeah ok this is City color-glo duo the cream and powder oh my gosh the

powder and they're sparingly the powder kind of take this off it's a little hard

to say but the powder is very shimmery and it's very pretty so we'll test this

a little bit so it's a cream highlight and a powder highlight I've never really

used cream products before that's my cat how do you use uh what kind of like

melts let's see I don't see much but it also could be my lighting also I have

acne yes I try to take care of my skin the best I can but you know being a

teenager gives you acne but like I'm not scared to show it like I get close-up

you can see my acne I'm not gonna try to hide it um then we have our powder

highlight just my camera doesn't do it justice let's see the cream highlight

switching back and forth oh I got that nose highlight I really do like this you

can see where I used it this is the cream your show you guys what the Queen

looks like and then this is the powder cream powder I really like that

I love highlighting contour and all that jazz okay and the last thing I think is

a free Matic eyeshadow I love me some eyeshadow let's hope it's a color I like

well dang that's so tiny it looks like a little chocolate bar how do i okay how

do I do this what do I do with a little tiny there supposed to be a container

for this I love this color it's like a beautiful brown I love Browns I love

like natural colors let's put this right here so I'm thinking maybe I put it in

here this was the packaging you came in I

hope I don't mess this up I think that's what I'm supposed to do watch me break

my makeup I got don't try to put this in somehow this is not very smart packaging

I'm probably doing something really dumb like I'm probably not supposed to do

this yeah this doesn't work I'll be doing this all wrong but like I feel

like it should have come in something other than the little tin tray I don't

know if I'm supposed to just put it back in this plastic I guess so I'm supposed

to store it I like the color but like packaging hmm

sorry from your background noise my cat wants us to come in it's not gold but

like he's gotta wait I gotta finish my video and then we can have some snuggle

time hey guys I'm not like I mean I love epsy my sister actually did this for me

for Christmas for three months this was my last month she paid for January

February and March was my Christmas gift because she knew how much I wanted epsy

I love this this is probably my favorite the highlight and contour stuff I'm

really glad they gave me sheet masks too because I really have to wanting some

face masks to like be nice to my skin pamper it I'm not crazy I don't really

use eyeliner this is the exact same color as my lips I might use this some

but it will kind of sit like I'm gonna make a basket for a little while until I

use it a couple times I still think I'll like it want to use it but it's not

something that's like I would use everyday this I love the packaging like

this is beautiful but it's just the same color as my lips and that's kind of

pointless so I still like it I can mix it with other things figure out what I

want to do with it I don't I'm a little confused here you

guys with the markers what am I supposed to do with these Oh get creative with

this month's coloring book inspired glam bag y'all if you haven't have you back

you probably watch this entire thing thought I'm so dumb I'm supposed to

color this you know let's test it really quick let's try this out I hate that

sound she did some ASMR up in here I'm gonna

I'm gonna do that I'm soda I colored that I'm gonna have some ASMR I've been

here with that bottom and this turned into an ASMR video I'm just kidding but

I am I'm for real doing this alright let's test this with Ashley you don't

know what ASMR is

like real you know I really you know like I spent five minutes of my time

coloring this for you guys like you know I didn't finish i colored some and then

I gave up colored some of it for you guys to tell you what I thought about

coloring a glare but what I think about this is that it's fun but it's not for

everyone all right I feel like some people would

like this aka maybe me because I love coloring but like some people would just

think it's dumb is ugly yeah if you like this type of stuff this is great but if

you don't want to spend the time coloring this you think it's not very

pretty then you're not gonna do it you know I hope you guys enjoyed this and

this is my last time doing one of these I really did like making these if see

unboxings I hope you guys have a great amazing day

and stay positive and beautiful bye guys I can't speak English I can't speak

Three Things You Need To Know About Certificates of Insurance - Duration: 2:34.

Does your business rely upon contractors to secure insurance coverage for it as an additional

insured?

Do you rely upon certificates of insurance alone to confirm that your business partners

have secured the insurance required under your contracts?

If so, you may be surprised to learn that you might not have the coverage in place that

you think you do.

Hello, my name is Joe Arias.

I am a litigation and insurance coverage lawyer at HolmstromKennedyPC in Rockford, Illinois.

There are three things that you should know about certificates of insurance under the

Illinois Insurance Code:

1.

A certificate of insurance is a document prepared by an insurer or an insurance producer as

evidence of property or casualty insurance coverage.

It is not the same thing as a policy for insurance an insurance binder or a policy endorsement.

2.

The certificate of insurance itself cannot amend, extend or alter the coverage provided

under the property or casualty policy to which the certificate of insurance refers.

3.

A certificate of insurance cannot serve as a warranty that the policy procured complies

with the insurance or indemnification requirements of a contract.

Accordingly, references to a contract within a certificate of insurance should not be viewed

as warranting that the policy conforms to the contract.

As a practical matter, what does all that mean to you?

First, your rights under an insurance policy are determined by the terms of the policy

itself, not the certificate of insurance.

If the certificate of insurance says one thing and the policy language says another, courts

should follow the terms and conditions of the policy, not the certificate of insurance.

Second, if you are depending upon someone else to procure insurance for your company

as an additional insured, a certificate of insurance alone may not be good enough proof

that the required coverage is in place.

Certificates of insurance frequently lack details about the underlying coverage, including

important terms, limitations and exclusions.

When feasible, request a complete copy of the policy that is issued so that your coverage

counsel can review the policy and make sure that it provides all of the coverage that

is due to you under your contract with the other party.

Camera Lenses for Video – Understanding Lenses for Beginners (Focal Length, Aperture, Focusing) - Duration: 6:54.

So you got your camera. Now you need a lens, but there are so many to choose from.

And what do all those millimeters and "f" numbers mean?

You'll understand it all very soon.

Hey guys, Camber back with you today from Maryland, and we are

talking about lenses and which one is right for you for starting out in video.

Now just because a lens can zoom in really far doesn't make it a good lens.

I've heard this way too many times:

"Hey man, I just got this new lens for my camera.

It goes 55 to 250. I can get anything with this lens."

And I'm like:

Huh, that's cool.

When I'm really thinking:

Oh, I wish you would have asked

me sooner I know a lens that's better and cheaper than that.

The reason I bring this up is because that's where this thing came from. I thought, oh I can do

anything with this lens I don't have to buy all kinds of lenses, and I think that

I've never even used this.

So if you look at any lens you're gonna see a bunch of

numbers written on the side or on the front of it and those numbers are your

focal length, your maximum aperture, and your lens diameter. So the first number

on any lens is going to be the focal length and that's measured in

millimeters. As you can see here this lens is 50 millimeters. It's an actual

measurement in millimeters inside your lens but all you really need to know is

that the smaller the number the wider your angle of view and the higher the

number the more narrow your angle of view. So the next number after the focal

length that you'll find on your lens is the aperture. It's a ratio of the focal

length to the maximum aperture of the lens and this one is 1 over 1.4.

So your aperture controls how wide your lens can open to let in more light.

So the higher the f-number the smaller the opening of your camera letting in less

light and the lower the f-number gets the more open your camera lens becomes

letting in more light. Now with these lower maximum "F" numbers your lens is

typically going to be bigger and also more expensive. So that lower maximum F

number meaning the wider open your lens can get will let in more light but also

create that blurry background look and can make your footage look really nice.

So the last number you're gonna see on the lens is your lens diameter and this

one is 82 millimeters. So that last number gives you

the diameter of the front of your lens so that when you start buying different

kinds of filters you'll know its size to get to fit your camera lens. Now another

thing to consider when it comes to choosing a lenses image stabilisation.

Image stabilization is nice because if you're hand-holding your shots it's not

gonna fix it completely but if you're being pretty smooth already and it's

gonna help smoothen that out even more. So now that we know all those different

numbers are there's also two main types of lenses we want to look at and that's

your prime lens and your zoom lens. So the difference with these is your prime

lens is going to give you one focal length for instance this one is 50

millimeters whereas this one has a range of 24 to 70 millimeters. So you might be

thinking why would I get the prime lens of 50 millimeters when I could get the

zoom lens it's 24 to 70 it has 50 in it and I have all those other focal links

to use too. One of the first advantages to getting a prime lens versus a zoom lens

is that your prime lenses are going to be a lot cheaper because they have fewer

moving parts. Also in your prime lenses since there's fewer moving parts, fewer

pieces of glass in between for all the different focal links, your prime lens is

going to be sharper at 50 millimeters then your zoom lens is going to be at 50 millimeters.

Most prime lenses are going to be made so they can open up to a

lower F number or a wider aperture giving that more blurry background than

your zoom lenses will be able to give you. And your maximum aperture of your

lens is another reason why getting one of these lenses that can go really far

isn't necessarily that good. Because as you can see on this lens, it goes from f4 to f/5.6.

And what that means, at the shortest focal length 55 it's going to

be at f/4 and as you zoom in to 250 that maximum aperture is going to go up to 5.6.

Whereas this lens has a maximum aperture of 2.8 and it stays at that 2.8

throughout the entire range of 24 to 70. Another thing with lenses are

manufacturers make certain types that are only for crop sensor cameras. These

lenses are typically going to have that variable range in aperture which

makes them less expensive. So if you put a crop sensor lens on a full-frame

camera you're going to get this vignetting around the corners because this lens is

designed for the camera with the smaller sensor. Whereas when we switch back,

now that vignette around the edges is gone because this lens is designed

for a full-frame camera. So you can use a lens designed for a full-frame camera on

any camera, however, if you use the crop sensor lens on a full-frame camera it's

going to give you that vignette around the edges of your picture. If you don't

understand what I mean by crop factor, check out this video I made here talking

about how your sensor size of your camera it's gonna affect what the focal

length of your lens looks like. So one last thing to consider when you're

choosing a lens is the focus and what I mean by that is whether it's mechanical

or electronic focus. As you can see on here, as I turn the focus ring you can

see different numbers for measurements on where the camera is focusing. So when

you're setting up focus pulls on these kind of lenses and you know where

exactly your different focus elements are gonna be you can set where you're

gonna hit those focus points. Whereas you look at this lens, there's no distance

markers. All you have is a spinning focus ring that never stops because this lens

has an electronic motor. So as you turn this it sends a signal to that motor and

changes the focus in your camera, but if you're trying to pull focus with one of

these it's really hard to do because the speed at which it focuses is inconsistent.

The faster you turn it the quicker it's gonna get to your focus

point; so you can't just set one place and go there every time because if you

go faster or slower than before then it's not going to get that same focus at

the same point. But if you have a nice autofocus system they work really great.

Especially if you have a good touch screen where you can pick your points

and it'll pull focus consistently and perfectly on the points that you want.

So starting out, I would definitely suggest getting a nice zoom lens because then

you do have that wide range of shots. And zoom lenses can be quite pricey so if

you were gonna start with something else, I would definitely say pick up one of

these 50 millimeters. This is Canon's version. It will run you $125, it

can open up to f/1.8 giving you a really blurry background. Remember that

investing in good lenses now is going to pay off now and in the future because

it's going to improve the quality of your shots now and also as you improve

your cameras in the future you'll be able to use those same good lenses on

those new cameras. So that was a lot of stuff to cover but if you made it this

far go ahead hit that thumbs up. Leave a comment down below about what your

favorite lens is or which one you want to get and why. I got links in the

description for a lot of great lenses whether you're rocking Canon or Sony so

check those out. Subscribe if you haven't and remember that the only way to get better at

something is to practice. So get that lens, get out there, and film something.

See you soon!

Miss You Like Hell is a road trip based off of the classic The Odyssey, but it's

a mother and a daughter, and it's them dealing with each other in a very real

and raw way. One of the reasons I reached out to Erin McKeown to create this

piece with me is because she's grounded in rock, and to have women kind of own a

rock and roll story meant a lot to me.

The mother is not a citizen, the daughter is,

and they have a ticking clock to try to figure out their relationship and

they jump in the car together which is a kind of unique space to solve problems in.

The mother essentially has seven days until a hearing that will likely

determine whether or not she gets to stay in the country and they meet a

bunch of strangers that help or hinder them on their path to this final

immigration hearing.

"Hi, Mo? It's Olivia, the girl from the parking lot. My mom's in trouble; I need help."

You know these are issues that within the immigration community have been

present and scary for a very long time, but I think the public awareness of it

is immediate and present now. It's not looking away from the complexity of that

political debate, but also it's the opportunity to zoom in on one specific

story: this mother and this daughter and the way big policy decisions affect

their daily life.

Everyone has had experience with a mom, either in the

absence of a mom or in the presence of a mom, you put a mother-daughter

relationship in the center of a piece of art and everyone is going to have an

experience with that.
