which may change the way you use your voice and take care of it.

Singers rely on their voices.

Your voice is meant to last a lifetime but the vocal folds are not limitless.

Keep on watching because you may be damaging your voice and you may not even know about it.

Hi, I am Katarina from How 2 Improve Singing.

Let's talk about the vocal folds and vocal abuse.

What is really going on in there when we sing or talk?

The vocal folds touch each other hundreds of times per second every time you make

a voiced sound.

And every time the vocal folds touch each other, a huge number of cells from the surface

of the vocal folds are lost or damaged.

The vocal folds are a very unique organ in our body: they can produce sound.

They can produce sound because of their special structure: they are made of several layers.

Each layer plays a different role.

In this video, we'll be talking about the most superficial layer of the vocal folds

because that's the defence mechanism that is hugely underappreciated.

Once this defence layer is damaged or gone, your voice is at risk for vocal injury.

So, the most superficial layer of the vocal folds is called squamous epithelium.

It consists of 5 to 10 layers of cells that are closely packed.

Every time the vocal folds come together in the midline and touch each other many of these

cells are damaged or lost during the impact.

The bigger the impact, the more cells are damaged.

For example, yelling and coughing bring the vocal folds together in a more forceful way

and the impact is bigger than during normal speaking.

Now, new cells have to replace the damaged and missing cells.

Luckily, there is a constant turn-over.

The ability of the epithelium to self-renew is absolutely amazing!

It is estimated that a complete epithelial cells turnover occurs in 96 hours.

You grow a new vocal fold cover every 4 days!

But this can happen only if you give your voice a chance to rest and restore.

If you continue using your voice over prolonged periods of time or if you engage in forceful

and intense vocal behaviours, a big loss and destruction of cells will occur.

Then, closely packed layers of cells become loose and spaces between cells become bigger.

The protective layer breaks down and the ability of the vocal folds to tolerate further vibrations

diminishes.

Your voice becomes more susceptible to vocal injury.

There is another layer of protection.

It consists of a thin layer of mucus covering the epithelium of the vocal folds.

Mucus is a viscous substance covering respiratory, digestive, and other systems in your body,

including the vocal folds.

It protects cells from drying out because cells need to remain moist in order to function

well.

And it also serves as a lubricator during sound production.

Good hydration makes the mucus thin and slippery so that the vocal folds can move efficiently.

That's why your vocal folds like when you are well hydrated!

There are many behaviours leading to vocal abuse that can damage this protective mechanism

of the vocal folds.

Smoking is an obvious one.

Dry air, habitual mouth breathing, acid reflux, abusive vocal behaviours and many more.

The good news is: they are all preventable!

I created a free checklist of these abusive behaviours.

Some of these behaviours are obvious, like smoking, but many of them look innocent, like

habitual mouth breathing.

With the help of the checklist, you can find out if you are at risk for vocal injury or

not.

So, the bottom line is: Don't abuse your vocal folds!

Protect the protective layer of your vocal folds.

Give them a chance to rest and restore.

You have only one voice so take good care of it!

How to replace the zipper on pants with a fly and jeans - Duration: 13:43.

Welcome to another Sewing For A Living tutorial in which I'm going to show you

how to replace the zipper on pants with a fly and jeans.

In this video we are working on a pair of pants with a fly. The attachment of

the zipper is similar to the one on jeans. If you need to replace the zipper on jeans you can follow the steps in this tutorial as they are the same I

would follow when replacing a zipper on jeans. Start with removing the old zipper.

Unpick all the stitches that hold the zipper in place. First, remove the bar

tack that fixes the fly over the zipper. This can be the slowest thing to do. I

like to use the seam ripper for that but couldn't find it around here so I'm

using the clippers. They can do the job as well. Then, continue with the two

parallel decorative stitches on top.

This opens the zipper fly and now you can see the joining seams on the side.

Unpick that seam as well as the one on the other side.

We need to break some of the top stitching on the waistband as well. The

waistband usually goes all the way to the end here. On this pair it doesn't but

it doesn't make such a difference. We still need to unpick a bit to release

the zipper. The truth is that in alterations on ready-to-wear clothing

there will always be differences and challenges to overcome. So this one here

can actually be a good example on variety.

Then, go all the way down.

Usually, there is another bar tack here that we need to deal with.

And last, we need to detach the zipper from the separate under flap piece.

I'm cleaning all the remaining threads and I'm ready to apply the new zipper.

To match the fly size and saw the new zipper precisely, pick a zipper with

the same length as the broken one. I couldn't find the exact length and I had

to shorten my new zipper to match the size of the old one. If you need to do

that as well there is a link in the description on how to shorten metal

zippers. Now let's start attaching the zipper. We reverse the steps with followed

when unpicking.

First we put the zipper foot and sew the zipper back to the under flap. I align

the zipper tape to the edge of the under flap. You might use the edge of the

under flap as a guide or even better - the line of the old stitching.

Next we need to top stitch on the same side. Put the free end of the zipper tape

under the waistband and sew close to the teeth with the zipper foot. My waistband

doesn't go all the way to the end so I'm starting from the top. You most probably

would need to start under the waistband.

Next, we need to attach the zipper on the other side. First, we overlap the fly to

find out where we need to put the other side of the zipper. It should overlap

without twisting and pulling the fly and the button and the button hole should

match as well. Then turn the pants inside out and moving the under flap out of the

way pin the zipper to the fly. Pin only to the inner fly piece. Check the

position of the zipper once again because this is how it is going to look

wen sewn. If you need to, make some adjustments so that the button and the

button hole as well as the fly overlap nicely.

Then, change the position of the zipper foot so that it sews on the other side.

Starting from the bottom sew the zipper to the inner fly piece. Keep the under

flap out of the way.

Working at the face side, pin the front to the fly piece. We are going to make

these two curved seams at the front to fix the fly.

I'm going to change the foot for the last time and use the regular foot for

the rest of this sewing project. I'm going to make the two curved lines on

the front starting at the top. If you are working on pants or jeans with separate

waistband you should stop at the top of the front right under the waistband. Make

sure to keep the under flap on the other side of the zipper away so you don't

accidentally sew through it.

Use the old stitching line as a guide if it is still visible. If not, draw the line

with some chalk.

Sew all the way down until you reach the beginning of the curve.

We are going to stop here with that line for now and make the second parallel

line of stitching.

Don't forget to lock all the stitches at both ends.

Now it's time to finally fix the under flap piece in place. Put it under the zipper

where it is supposed to be and make the final curved stitches on the front.

We need to sew with the face side up here so be careful not to displace the

under flap peace. Start where we ended the second line. Lock the stitch and

slowly finish the curve.

Be careful to go under the zipper teeth.

Turn the pants around, make a couple of stitches straight up

and continue with the first curved line.

Unfortunately, I'm using a matching thread so it's not very easy to see where I'm

sewing. I hope you can get the idea here.

Match the beginning of the line and once again lock the stitch.

The last thing we need to do is to restore the waistband stitches on both

sides. Put the zipper tape under

and make the seams.

You would most probably need to go only horizontally here. I'm going straight as

well in result of the specific pattern.

And as always check if the zipper looks good and works properly.

32 iPhone X Tips & Tricks You Should Know - Duration: 18:38.

This is Praveen for TechEmpty.

Here in this video I will be telling you the iPhone X Tips and Tricks that are worth knowing.

that you must change right now.

So, without any further ado, let's get started.

First one here in the list is Enabling Virtual Homebutton.

As we know that after the release of iPhone X, there is no physical home button as we

have in our previous iPhone models.

If you would like to have the same experience, you can enable the virtual homebutton by going

to settings, then general, then accessibility and here we have the AssistiveTouch.

You just need to enable it and here toggle the LongPress option and choose Home.

You will now see the AssistiveTouch icon on the screen and just press on it for the home

button operation.

This is not just as fast as swiping up from the bottom to move to home screen.

But worth knowing.

The second one is Fixing the FaceID issues.

Generally, iPhone X will tend to know the facial changes regularly.

So, it is rare to get the failure attempts when you try to unlock the Smartphone using

FaceID.

But you can change few options if you use thick sunglasses all the time that iPhone

X can't recognize your attention.

So, you need to change the security level in this case.

To do this, open Settings then General, then Accessibility then choose Face ID & Attention

and here Turn off the 'Require Attention for Face ID'.

From now, it just identifies the shape of your face to unlock the iPhone X using the

Face ID.

Third one here in the list is Reachability.

Reachability for iPhones is a useful feature to easily access the top of your screen.

For some reason, Apple has its Reachability feature turned off by default for the iPhone

X, but it's quite handy to have turned on, even if you don't use it a ton.

To turn on Reachability on iPhone X, head to settings, then general and then tap on

Accessibility.

And here find the Reachability and toggle the button to turn it on.

Now on the Home screen, Reachability will activate if you start your swipe at about

the middle of the icons on the Dock.

With the reachability feature you can even access the Control Center and notification

screen easily by swiping down from the top.

And of course, you need a bit of practice to master it.

Fourth is knowing the Battery Percentage.

With the iPhone X, you don't see the battery percentage indicator at the status bar because

of the notch.

But there are three ways to check the Battery Percentage of the iPhone X and click on this

card to know more about it.

But to quickly see the battery percentage, just swipe down from the right top to see

the juice left in an iPhone X.

Fifthone is customizing the control center.

There is a much space left at the bottom of the Control center to add some useful toggles.

Do you know that there are many toggles available apart from these controls.

Let me show you how you can add the hidden control center toggles right here in just

few seconds.

Open Settings then move to Control Center and choose Customize.

Here you will see all the available controls and to add them, just tap on the green plus

icon and the particular control will be added to the control center.

To remove, tap on the red icon to delete from the control center.

Let me add the screen recording for now and that's it.

Just swipe down the control center and tap on the record button to screen record the

iPhone X.

Sixth one is recording the long Animoji.

Animoji's are fun.

Really fun.

But there are some limitations like you can only send them through the iMessage and can

record for only about 10 seconds.

But yes, you can save them as a video file and can send via WhatsApp.

Here is the video to know how you can send Animoji through WhatsApp.

But how you can record a long Animoji?

Let me show you how.

I assume that you added the Screen recording toggle to the control center by using the

fifth tip, and now just swipe down the control center then tap on the screen record.

Now open the iMessage app then compose an Animoji video with unlimited time.

Yes, until you run out of space.

You can edit the recorded video through the iMovie and can send to anyone without any

issues.

Try it now.

Seventh one is sending an Animoji Reaction as a sticker.

You should smash that like button down below the video if you don't know about this.

Not only the recorded video, but you can send the Animoji expression as a sticker.

To send, open the iMessage and choose Animoji then freeze your expression.

Now long press on the animoji and drag and drop on the message.

You can't drop it in the empty space as it is an expression to the particular message.

Cool.

Isn't it.

Eighth one is 3D Touch on the Control Center Toggles.

Do you know that you can force touch on the control center toggle to expand more options?

Take your Smartphone and try it right now.

3D touch on every toggle available to see the hidden options.

You can enable or disable AirDrop, Personal Hotspot, night shift or true tone, you can

increase or decrease the intensity of the torch light, Calculator, Camera, Screen Record,

Music etc.

Nineth one is restricting the control center on the lock screen.

We have an option to access the control center if the phone is locked.

What if someone took your Smartphone and turned on the Airplane mode?

You don't receive calls or even can't connect to Find My iPhone as the mobile data

will turn off automatically when the Airplane mode is ON.

They will have access to all the options available at the control center.

So, you need to secure it right.

To do that, open Settings, Face ID & Passcode, enter the unlock password and come all the

way down then turn off the Control Center.

From now, only the authorized people can have access to the Control Center.

Tenth one.

Moving All Apps together.

I personally love this option, as I organize every single app into the respective folder.

Moving single app everytime is a bit annoying as they move too fast when switching between

the screens.

So, if you are the one like me, then you should definitely check this feature.

Long press on the icon until you see this cross and just move the app you hold.

When you move the app, you won't see the cross icon at the edge.

Now tap on the icons that you would like to move till they come together.

That's it.

Take those icons to any screen and leave the finger.

They will stay there till you move again.

Simple.

Isn't it.

Eleventh one.

Switching between the Apps.

The iPhone X is for gestures because we don't have the physical home button.

If you think switching the apps is a difficult task on iPhone X, then you are wrong.

Once you figure out how to switch apps without double clicking a button, you'll never want

to go back.

Just swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold it for a second.

There you will see all the apps and you can tap on the required one easily.

But wait, this is not the one I would like to say.

You just need to swipe left or right at the bottom exactly on the line you see to easily

switch between the apps.

Really easy.

Twelfth one.

Closing the running Apps.

Like switching apps, you need to swipe up from the bottom and hold it for a second.

Now again, hold on app window until you see the red icon at the top left of each app window.

You can either swipe up or tap on the red one to close the app.

Which one do you feel convenient.

Thirteenth one.

Take Screenshot on iPhone X.

This is really simple.

Just hold the side button as we know it as power button and press the volume up button.

Once again, hold the side button and press the volume up button.

You can edit and save the screenshot like you need.

Fourteenth one.

Night Shift.

It allows you to enable your iPhone to automatically adjust the colors in your display based on

night and day.

To activate, open Settings then Display & Brightness and choose Night Shift.

Turn on the Scheduled and change to Sunset to sunrise.

You can even opt to Custom schedule.

Also, you will have the control over the Color Temperature.

When the Night Shift is ON, your phone automatically adjusts the display so that it gives off warmer,

less blue light which doesn't affect your sleep.

Fifteenth one.

Reduce Brightness.

Do you know that you can reduce the brightness of the screen of iPhone X even less that you

have now?

This one is pretty handy when you read alot in night times.

You can even save the battery by activating it.

Let me show you how you can enable this Reduce Brightness option.

Open Settings then General then Accessibility then Display Accommodations and here turn

on the 'Reduce White Point' then choose the intensity.

The more you go, the lesser the intensity will be.

Night shift plus Reduce Brightness option is a killer combination if you love reading

or watch movies at night.

Just play with it.

Sixteenth one.

Raise to Wake.

In iPhone X you have this option to enable.

To activate, go to settings then Display & Brightness and here turn on the Raise to Wake.

You don't need to press any other buttons to turn on the display to check the notifications

or to unlock the screen.

Just raise your iPhone X and it will turn the display on.

I don't actually enable it because when I hold and walk with the iPhone X, it keeps

turning on the display because the phone is moving.

Alternatively, we have tap to wake feature on iPhone X. Simple and Simple.

Seventeeth one.

Watch the Videos in Full Screen.

Because of the notch, the videos you play on iPhone X will have the empty black spaces

on either side.

You can either stretch the video if you use the default player on iPhone X or you can

Pinch-in the video if you are watching through YouTube.

But note, you will definitely miss some parts of the video for sure.

Eighteenth one.

Camera Picture Format.

This is important.

You should know about this.

There are two formats available in iPhone X.

One is High Efficiency which is a new one with HEIF format for Pictures and HEVC format

for videos.

The second is the Most Compatible like JPEG.

When you opt for High Efficiency the picture quality will remain same and the size will

be lower than JPEG.

So, it's up to your whether to choose High Efficiency or Most Compatible.

To change the format, open Settings then Camera then Formats and here pick the one as per

your liking.

Nineteenth one.

Enable HDR.

When you open the Camera app, you won't see the HDR control option like we usually

have in our previous iPhones models.

In iPhone X it was already enabled by default.

So, every picture you take will now have HDR.

If you would like to control the HDR manually, you need to turn off the Auto HDR mode.

To do this, go to Settings, then Camera and turn off the Auto HDR.

You will now have the HDR option within the Camera App.

You can control it whenever you need.

Twentieth one.

Enable 4K at 60 FPS.

To change open settings then Camera.

To record a 4K video at 60 frames per second, you first need to change the format to High

Efficiency and then opt for 4k at 60 fps option.

21st one.

Scanning QR Codes.

Gone are those days where we need to download QR code scanning apps to find something.

And now just open the iPhone X camera and try to scan the QR code.

You will see the details about it instantly.

Cool.

Isn't it.

Twenty Second one.

Wi-Fi Assist.

Nothing too fancy.

Enable this option to automatically switch to cellular data when you have a poor W-Fi

connection.

To turn this ON, open settings then Mobile data and here come all the way down and toggle

the Wi-Fi Assist.

That's it.

From now, when you have the poor Wi-Fi connection this option will let you use cellular data

automatically.

I recommend you to avoid this if you have less cellular data.

Twenty Third one.

Turn Off Bluetooth.

In iPhone X or iOS 11, you can't totally turn off the Wifi or Bluetooth from the Control

Center.

These options will turn back on when you invoke something like turning on the bluetooth device

you already paired etc.

This will drain the battery soon and we recommend to turn the bluetooth off permanently by going

through settings then bluetooth and here toggle the button.

You can turn this on easily from the Control Center when you require.

Twenty fourth one.

Background App Refresh.

I recommend everyone to consider this.

To change, open Settings then General then Background App Refresh.

Here pick the app that you require to get real time updates as notifications.

There are many different apps that you install regularly as per the interest.

But only few needs to be run in the background like email apps, Facebook to get the incoming

notifications, banking apps to get the transaction details regularly etc.

These apps will run all time and checks for new emails or updates in the background which

will drain the battery.

So, you need to turn off the background app refresh for the apps that you don't require

to get real time updates.

Using fewer apps will improve the battery life for sure.

Twenty Fifth one.

Sending Last Location.

To enable it Open settings then tap on the Apple account then iCloud then Find My iPhone

and here choose Send Last Location option.

If you misplaced the iPhone somewhere and can't find it using Find My iPhone feature

then Send Last Location might rescue you.

When your iPhone is about to run out of battery, it will send one last location update to iCloud

as long as it also has an active Internet connection.

Now let's talk about few Privacy Settings.

There are about 3 major changes you need to do in these Privacy Settings.

I don't actually need you to change all of these settings that I will be telling you

because developers needs some data to enhance their app experience.

It's up to you whether to enable or disable access.

Twenty Six one is Advertising.

Go to Settings then Privacy and at the bottom choose Advertising.

You can disable it if you don't want to share your interests with Apple.

Based on your usage, Apple will show you the relevant ads in Appstore or somewhere else.

Twenty Seventh one is Analytics.

To change go to Settings then Privacy and at the bottom choose Analytics.

It's up to you whether to share the data or not.

But personally I turn it on because it will help apple to improve its products or services.

Twenty Eighth one is Location Services.

To change go to Settings then Privacy and choose Location Services.

At the bottom tap on System Services and here turn off Location-Based Apple Ads.

Twenty ninth one is turning off the in-App Ratings and Reviews.

To turn this off, open Settings then iTunes & App Stores and toggle the in-App Ratings

& Reviews.

By turning this off, you won't see any pop-ups asking you to review the app.

Also, consider turning off the Video Autoplay in the App Store.

Thirtieth one is Force Restart.

To force restart the iPhone X, all you need to press the Volume up button, volume down

button and continue holding the side button until you see the black screen.

The phone will start again by itself and here you will the apple logo.

That's it.

Thirty First one is the Recovery Mode.

To place the iPhone X in recovery mode, connect the iPhone X to the computer using Lightning

cable and press volume up button, volume down button and press and hold the side button

until you see the iTunes logo.

Not the Apple logo, it's iTunes logo.

Now the iPhone X is in the Recovery Mode.

And the final one is the DFU mode.

To enter into the DFU mode, connect the iPhone X to the computer using Lightning cable and

press the volume up button, volume down button and press and hold the side button for about

10 seconds.

Once the time is up, press the volume down button by continue holding the side button

and release the side button after 5 seconds by continue holding the volume down button.

There you go, now the iPhone X will be in the DFU mode and you can check that with iTunes.

To exit the DFU mode, press the volume up button, volume down button and press and hold

the side button until you see the apple logo.

How to clean sheet pans? What is the best way to clean sheet pans, whether they are

aluminum or stainless steel. Some people call them cookie sheets. Well what is the

best way to clean a sheet pan? well for years I have been using an overlooked

product that's readily available in the grocery store, and by the way it's not

dryer sheets. But I have been using a product that when you see it you'll say,

why didn't I think of that? And I'm gonna share that with you,

coming up! Hi folks it's Mike with Kitchen Tips Online, your one-stop shop

what is the best way to clean sheet pans, you'll get a wide variety of ideas that

range from using dryer sheets, to baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. On this video,

we're gonna take a different approach. I borrowed this pan from a neighbor and as

you can see it has some pretty baked on grime or grit, dirt or whatever you

want to call it it. Also has some oxidation in it from having been in the

dishwasher. Well we're going to clean half of this pan using the method that I

have been using for years and we're going to show you how to get this half

of the pan, as spotless as this half of the pan. As you can see from the picture

on your screen, the pan that I decided to clean is absolutely filthy, with caked

burnt on, I don't even know what that is! In my experience baking soda or dryer

sheets just won't remove this kind of heavy baked-on crud.

Now the first thing we want to do is put the sheet pan in the sink and give it a

good spray with our cleaning solution. I am only going to clean half this pan so

that you can see the contrast between the clean and dirty side.

Next we will let the sheet pan rest in the sink for about 15 minutes. After 15 or 20

minutes you want to take an SOS pad or a brillo pad, and scrub off the remaining

sticky stuff. And because this sheet pan is very filthy with burnt on food, it's

going to take a little bit of extra elbow grease to get it clean. Now all we

need to do is take some hot water and rinse this pan clean and then take some

regular dish detergent and rinse off any of the leftover residue.

As you can see the pan is nice and clean and almost new looking on one side. Now

the reason I waited to show you exactly what it is I use is because I use a

product that some folks might consider controversial. I use Easy Off

oven cleaner and have been using it with no problems for about 25 years. The

manufacturer of Easy Off says they don't recommend using it on aluminum because

it may pit it or cause discoloration. But that has never been my experience

because I only leave it on about 15 or 20 minutes. And also I rinse it

thoroughly with soap and water so that the pan is nice and clean. If you have a

So we can all embrace it around the world so without further ado. Let's get stuck in

So you want to get pop G up and running on your PC

Well, it's pretty damn simple to be honest, but there is a few

Caveats along the way are a few troubles if you don't know what you doing and that's what this little video is

Well, let's just get stuck in anyway so first off then what we're going to do is install the emulator now

I've been and I've been scouring the internet

I've done this a few times and to be honest and in the past I used Knox now the problem with that

Emulator is the fact that it that it's running 5.1

and that's quite old now now I've done a bit of research and again looked around and

Bluestacks is the best option it's one that I come across and here is the official website link in the description down below

Now what I need to say is that I am affiliated with BlueStacks

It just helps out the channel it means that if you click on that link I get a few sent for everybody that

Installs the game now

I don't mind if you don't do it at the end of the day you can just go in to Google put in BlueStacks

It'll guide you to the official website and lead you straight back here

But it helps the channel if you do go down that route so anyway guys

Here is the official website and on here is everything that you need to know about

actually the actual emulator itself so you've got minimum system requirements make sure your

System is up to spec. It's pretty damn low to be honest so it's not requiring much

recommended to here though something that I have noticed is that it likes multiple core or

CPU so if you've got an i5 and i7 or something like that then you're pretty good to go for this one you can push

It that little bit further

But if you got a low-end one you can still get it up and running and I'll guide you through it now

So now you hear always need to do is click on the download bluestacks

n-now BlueStacks is running Android

7.1. So compare that to Knox

5.1. It's advanced quite a lot so this is running Nuka. That's what the little n stands for and once it's downloaded

I'm gonna cancel out of that now because it'll take forever with my internet

You should end up with a little file similar. If not identical to this one

It's not rocket science all you need to do is double-click it. It will then ask you to install it on your computer

Take a few seconds while it kicks in and there we go everything is automated

There's no need to change anything ozzie to do is click on install now

Now what it will do is install the program or the emulator onto your computer, so then we can actually start installing everything now

The emulator all is that is doing is pretending that this program is a mobile phone or a tablet

So it's something that runs Android obviously Pub G mobile runs an iOS or Android

It's easier to emulate Android so that's the route that we've gone down

This one is the best and the most advanced one for doing it

So this is why we're doing it that way now once this is done

We can then kick in so I'm gonna fast forward this bit, and I'll see you on the flip side

Okay, so now we're complete. We're all good to go

There's a little tip box here. I'll start on completion. Yeah, I'm gonna keep that ticker

Shortcut on your desktop as it would prove any program me install nowadays so in the future to get this up and running

Now that you've installed it you can probably delete this because this is just the install files

And now you've done all that click on complete and now we can set up the emulator

Now what it will do is because it's the first time. It's been on my system it will now

Well, it's the first boot so it install all the packages it will set up Android

It'll set up everything that you need for it to run

Automatically it will take a while. I'm not going to sit through it all so I'll fast forward again

And I'll see you on the flip side

Ok so once it's done. You'll be greeted with a screen similar

If not identical to this one so because it is running Android

It's as if you've just turned on your I believe this actually emulates the Samsung Galaxy s8

So it's as if you just turned on your samsung galaxy for the first time and what does the mobile phone?

Ask you to do input your details so then you can get into the Play Store

And then we can get stuck into the game

So you gonna need some kind of account or you can just make one up for the other day?

It's up to you, so let's get stuck in I'm gonna put in my actual details because I I trust this

but feel free there's a little checkbox as you'll see in a second that will allow you to make one up make a

Bogus account so you can get stuck into the Play Store and go through it that way

It's basically making an email, but if you've already got one in place

You've done this before then Oh's need to do is put it in here

I'm gonna fizzle all this out, so you can't see me login it a few minutes later

Ok so once all that's done

It should now bring you to this screen here

Which is basically the home screen for this emulator now?

It works identical as it would be with an Android device

so these are all your apps and games that you can install feel free to

Install anything you want and play away

It should at the same kind of processes what we're gonna do now so once you've done this you can actually play more games how?

Cool, is that now pop G. Is completely free. It's available officially from the official website

There's nothing dodgy going on at all here all of this is is an emulator that allows you to

Well get things going so I'm gonna fullscreen this so you can see what's going on

I believe that these tabs at the top here my apps these are what is already installed on there

The emulator puts a few extra games or whatever on there as standard you can also give feedback on this little builder think here

you got other tabs for all kind of stuff going on in the world and

We're gonna focus on this one the App Center now somewhere in the recommended tab more than likely there will be pop G

And you can see here always these today

We click on it as if you would with a mobile phone

And it will now guide me to the Google Play Store the official Google Play Store to download it and install it on this emulator

So it's as if we're now installing it on our mobile device now again

My internet is shocking so I'm gonna fast-forward all this while it downloads and installs on this little emulator

Okay, so once all that's done. Then is downloaded. It's installed. It's now ready to be played on this emulator

Ii think it's what we want to do first is tweak everything so as you can see poop g mobile has been installed

We don't want to open it at this stage i'm gonna close out

Because I want to make sure the emulator itself is ready to rhumble for this so in my apps now

I should have pop G mobile

I'm ready to click on and off we go or the good thing about this is if we minimize on our desktop

It's also made a shortcut there, so instead of going through BlueStacks. You just played this one game

We can just click on this here, and it will load straight into the game, which I'll do in a second

But for now again

We're gonna do the emulator itself?

So here is the games that we've got installed in my apps tab if you over to the right here

You've got this little Settings tab click on it, and you've got various different settings the first time I loaded this up

I had issues with my volume so make sure you've got everything up to maximum

and if it's still like that right click on your

Little speaker icon in your taskbar go into volume mixer, and one of the options should be BlueStacks

Cuz you got it open and make sure it's not muted and it's full up to maximum

That should be a sound

Sorted if it's still giving you issues just simply exit out of the emulator

Load it back up from that day forth you'll be good to go all right, then let's go into the settings

So we've got a beginner's guide

Peruse it you're on ledger that goes you through all the different settings to do with the actual emulator itself, but for us

We're gonna get stuck straight in and go into the settings

So what we need to do now is make sure that it's stable on our

Pcs run into it's optimal so for most people in fact from pretty much everyone to get a smooth frame rate

I'd run at 720 to be honest everything is low textured anyway because it's a mobile game

Meant to be played on a small screen, so I'm gonna run this 720 to keep everything smooth

I'm also going to keep that on high you can go to low if you're having issues

Then on the engine tab. I'm now gonna keep it on OpenGL

I don't believe that it can run DirectX with these games keep it out and OpenGL

And I don't know what this is I tried to do some research into it to get more information

But basically if I take this it gives me

Graphical issues in games like those buildings missing and stuff like that so for me

It's not good to actually click on this

but for anybody else give it a try once you've got it up and running and

See if it doesn't help you in any way

Now this one was important for me CPU cores more cause to give it the more I can smash it

I'm running an i-5 so I've got four cores of my availability, and I've also got 32 gigs of ram a stander that gives you

1,800 that's probably the minimum that you would get away with but again

I'm gonna push this all the way up go 32 gigs to play with now again

It's going to tell me to restart now

But I want to make sure everything else is set up all these different tabs down the side give you different options

Boss keys if you want to exit out the emulator quick or your mom comes in the room or your boss or something like that?

You can set it to a key

So you press this combination it will exit out quickly and no will know that you've been playing games

Notifications again, this is a mobile device so as we seen with a pop G. Pop up in the corner here

You can make it so if you have got any other games being installed updated if you've got

Whatsapp even running through this or something like that then you can make it so that it shows as it would with a mobile phone

Preferences everything is standard

Backup this is if you want to save it install it or put on someone else's PC. You can do it that way and

Update is just to make sure that everything is tickety-boo for in the future right now

We've done that then exit out

And we should be good to go in fact what we need to do is restart because it's gonna click on it

so

For cause I put it at two so it gives in that box again there we go so we're gonna for

Display settings everything is good so now

Restart now it should close down BlueStacks, and it should reopen it ready to rumble now with our game

Okay, so we've reached. I'd this is now good to go everything should now be configured of course again

You can click on that and I'll go straight into the game, but for us. We're gonna go because already got bluestacks open

We're gonna double click in fact. We're just gonna tap because it's android and it should launch the game

Hopefully it does take a while for this loading screen to pop through

Get rid of that. Yeah, it does take a while for the loading screen to get through, but give it a few seconds

And you'll be there but again

Let's fast forward a few minutes later

Ok at this point you can either login as a guest

Into the words make a frog way account or you can log in for your Facebook

And I believe it adds your friends and all that kind of stuff so depending on what you want to do for me

Just when I get this superbrain, so I'm gonna click on guest but first. I'm going to full screen so you can see this better

Click on guest

And we're in okay so the first time you launch it up is gonna give you different settings what we can go down now you

Can go straight onto high you can go medium or low but for me?

I'm gonna go on to low so I'm gonna go got it

Exit and you have to manually do it for the settings this little cog in the top right hand corner is your setting so to

Get into the settings menu like I just did click on the COG it will launch up for this

now to

Cuz we're running this through the PC rather than Android devices a few settings that you need to tweak to get it running to its

Optimum not just in terms visuals, but in terms of controlling also so this stuff

I didn't double round with but in graphics. I am gonna put this to smooth

So basically this turns everything down to minimum

this is probably the best way for you guys to actually launch this for the first time see if it runs well on your

Computer and if it does then you can start pumping this up all the way up to maximum

I'm gonna keep that on high then in the control section

There's different ones that you can go down here again

It's trial and error whatever floats your boat depends on the style you want to make this happen

Vehicle wise for me

Because it uses on-screen commands

And we'll get around that in just a second the easiest way to control a vehicle is clicking this middle one here so as you

press the

WASD or the wasn't keys then you get full control of your vehicle rather than messing around with toggling settings on there so

Single joystick is good to go

Sensitivity wise for some reason this is like crazy sensitive

So I'm gonna whack this on to low and then I'm gonna push this down to about

40 percent

Otherwise you just zip down the screen because this is well in theory running on a mobile phone or on a tablet

It's turned up the sensitivity so you can zip around using your fingers, but because we using a mouse it's already quite snappy

So that's the reason why I turn that down

Pickup wise yeah, yeah basically, it's gonna

also

Enable everything to pick up

So as you approach an object on the floor instead of going through menus and stuff because it can be quite fiddly

It basically if you've got something better than what you've already got it will automatically upgrade it so that weapon and pick it up

audio wise no difference the language if you got a different language you can choose that and that is basically everything good to go so

Settings wise we're good

As you can see I've got my little guy you probably really been prompted to make a guy

I'm already logged in as in I've already won a few matches. I'm loving this by the way

This is absolutely awesome, and then this is it this is pop G. Open running on your PC

Now we've got the graphics sorted. We've got everything ready to rumble. There's one more thing that we have to do we have to

Basically restart it so exit out

It shows you will exit yes

Because - in order for us to make all the changes that we just made it needs to reset the game

Let's focus on the controls

It's not that difficult

Because this is using my supposed to be using touchscreen

We need to make sure our

Keyboard or mouse is set up so we can actually get it to rumble so there we go

We're in takes a few seconds for all the textures and stuff to load up

But finally we are in

Now a standard you can't

use your mouse to go left and right you've got to use it as if you were touching the screen so the mouse is as

If it's touching the screen so left and right is left and right

It's as if I was pressing the screen where these little icons are so if I click on here it actually

jumps and punch cheers and crowd cheers and all that kind of stuff, so

Yeah, that's the way the controls work

But we don't want to play it that way we want to play of our keyboard or mouse so we're gonna get into the game

We're gonna find a quiet place, and then we're gonna configure everything now at this stage again

You've got the if you press the mouse on the screen and rotate around you've got Mouse control

But not as we want it so at this stage once we get into a playable area. Love a

Jump out button round there, we're gonna press this somewhere quiet, and then we're gonna configure it all hopefully without being killed

So I think we're it's a built a barrier come on come on come on

Okay, let's go

So I'm gonna press on the screen just to rotate myself round you can use you wasn't keys

To go up down left and right those are configured, so let's go into the woods somewhere

Let's go to one of these little buildings now

Because this is the mobile version

And because we've got everything on to minimum it may be a little bit jittery the first time you jump in it's because it's gonna

Load all the textures all that kind of stuff so yeah, be aware it may. Not work to its full potential at this point

That's why we're configuring everything to get the most out of it, so I'm gonna

Get myself down here as you can see the buildings. Haven't loaded up. So they're still in the loadtxt version at the moment

Hopefully no one's London around me

And hopefully this building will load itself up come on come on building you've got the power and always earlier on in the game

Right so we seem to be in a quiet location

What I want to do is configure everything so right now

The wasn't keys go left right up and down, but the mouse doesn't work

How it's supposed to so let's configure this quickly before it get killed now the bottom right-hand corner

We've got a little key keyboard I can

Then we've got little icons along the top now these little keys down here

This is if you press the screen in that location so if I was to press E it

Would be as if I pressed E. There if I was to press C it

Was if I was to press see the so what we can do is bind different keys to the different

Overlays that are on the actual screen, so was it that are already done, but for you guys you won't have

This stuff set up

There we go so we need to do is configure the mouse so and these are like cons along the top here

We need to drag this icon

in-game is this little dot in the middle so what I'll do is line that up with that little dot so when I press the

Left mouse button it will shoot in that location

So there we go. We got lined up next thing is to tell it what button we need to press to watch

They make it shoot so drag this button

Now we should be able to move our camera and actually run around the next one

We'll do in a second because we need a door to make it happen so for now

if I right-click on the screen and now let's the mouse take control of

The player I've got a dude up there as well. It's gonna come straight down and kill me

So I'm gonna head over to the door if I press F. It opens the door

If I was to run around and then press shift, it would then start sprinting whatever it is

Obviously to aim down sights or you can bind another key in whatever where you want. Just flutter to your heart's content

Whether you work in the private sector, government, healthcare, economics, psychology, or marketing

insights, a simple, yet powerful research technique known as best-worst scaling or MaxDiff

could be just what you need in your toolbox.

Let's consider Bill who is looking to open a diner.

Bill wants to know what to put on his menu and realizes people have different tastes.

Bill could ask respondents to rate main dishes on, say, a five point scale.

But, they typically will register lots of ties, making it hard to discriminate among items.

Making matters worse, different respondents will use the scale differently depending on

their cultural backgrounds, or maybe even their moods that day.

Of course, it is really difficult to compare different groups of people

when they use the scale differently.

Plus, Bill wants to ask respondents to evaluate around 30 potential main dishes, so these

grids would be even longer than shown here.

Let's demonstrate how best-worst scaling or MaxDiff can provide a better option.

In the 1980s Jordan Louviere showed three or more items at a time and respondents picked

just the best and the worst.

Louviere recognized that people were good at identifying extremes, the best and worst

items, so he called it best-worst scaling.

In this case, if a respondent says a bacon burger is best and pasta marinara is worst,

we can infer five of the possible six paired comparisons from just two clicks or taps.

Across multiple questions, respondents compare all the items in many different rotations

and the scores from best-worst scaling are easy for Bill to interpret, since they can

be placed on a ratio scale, meaning an eight on the scale is twice as important or preferred

as a four.

Best-worst scores show greater discrimination among the items than rating scales, show greater

discrimination between respondents than rating scales, are free from scale use bias, and

this all means that Bill can get better results with fewer respondents.

And Bill's diner is just one example of the many situations that can benefit from

best-worst.

Great data lead to great decisions.

TuxGuitar Tutorial – Free Guitar Tab Player - Duration: 3:51.

Hey guys, in this tutorial we're going to cover how to practice with guitar pro tabs

in TuxGuitar.

TuxGuitar is a free program for Windows, Mac, and Linux that allows you to practice guitar

pro tabs for any song you can find for free.

When practicing with Guitar Pro tab, you'll be able to play along with the music on screen.

Many Guitar Pro tabs feature different instruments from the song, such as the guitar tracks,

vocals, bass, and drums.

You won't have all these instruments on screen at once, but they will still be playing

in the background.

They don't really sound like the original song, since they're all done with synthesizers,

but it's a good way to practice.

In this tutorial we'll go over getting Pro Tabs, the layout of TuxGuitar, the play tools,

and changing the tuning of a song if it's in a different tuning from your guitar.

TuxGuitar is just a simple guitar pro tab player.

Though it can write its own tabs, we'll be using the pre-made tabs that we can download

online.

Just go to any guitar pro tab site, download the pro tab, and open it with TuxGuitar.

When we first open a pro tab in TuxGuitar, this is what we'll see.

In the middle, we have the tab view that we'll play along with.

This can be viewed for any of the instruments by switching with the view at the bottom.

The grid for the instruments shows which measures have notes and are not completely filled with

rest notes.

This helps if you're trying to find a specific section of a song, such as a solo.

From here you can click on one of the squares of the grid, for any instrument and it will

switch to that part of the song.

If you don't want to show the sheet music and just need a tab view, go to the view menu

and disable Show Score.

The play tools for this program are really useful when practicing with TuxGuitar.

Go to the Player menu and the top menu and select Play mode.

From here we can access training mode.

Set the starting tempo, to 40% for this example.

We'll leave it as increment 1%.

Then select the measures we want to loop.

Then when we play it back it will start at the starting tempo percentage and increase

the speed by 1% every time it loops.

To change the tuning of the guitars in TuxGuitar, right click on the instrument name and select

Properties.

Then change the tuning of all the strings to the tuning you'll be playing your guitar

in.

From here, you have two options.

The first is to play the some with the original notes, which will match up with the original

song, but in some cases the fingering for the song won't work, depending on where

it's played on the neck.

The other option is to transpose the entire song.

It will no longer match the original key of the music, but you'll be playing on the

same position on the fretboard without having to retune the guitar.

In that case, you'll still be able to play along with the music in TuxGuitar.

To do this go to the Tools menu and select transpose.

Then set it to one semitone, because in this case we're going from half step down to

standard tuning.

Now we can practice the song without retuning.

After using this program to practice guitar, I find it very useful, especially for difficult

songs.

The loop and training mode really lets you build up speed while practicing a difficult

section of the song.

It's also really helpful that you can easily retune a song when it's in a different tuning

compared to your guitar, allowing you to practice different songs together easier.

hey folks its Oliver again welcome back to my channel today I'm going to be

talking about the stuff people say about digital artists for a beginner these

things can be really hard to hear and I wanted to debunk some of them right off

the bat so none of you feel discouraged To follow this topic I'm doing a

digital drawing this time yeah it's actually easier to record an edited

digital stuff I don't know why I don't do it more often

it's easier to get a nice finish on it so I'm primarily a digital artist that's

how I do most of my Commission's and what I spend most of my time and money

doing I spent years and years seeing as familiar with the technology as I have

and believe me I have heard it all the first and most

prevalent thing people say about digital artists is that digital art is just too

easy or digital art is cheating and golly gee if I had a dime for every time

the person saying that also followed it up with oh but I don't know how to do it

I can't figure it out like yeah it's almost like it's a skill

set you have to hone and learn just like any other artistic medium sure there's a

few shortcuts but literally every other medium that I've been taught has had the

professor saying do this it's easier and quicker and get you better results like

20% of learning a new medium is just learning how to use it at all and then

the rest of it is learning to do it faster and easier

so like calling something too easy feels like a cop-out to me it sounds like

you're just bitter and I don't want to you know bitter grapes thing I don't

want a bitter grapes this but it just that's what it sounds like when it's

like oh well I can't do it so it's it's too easy or something like that that's

just a really weird conundrum that I heard another thing that people say into

digital artists a lot is that you don't get a relationship with the work that

you do with traditional work like you don't get into the paint or the clay or

covered in charcoal doing digital and this would sort of confuses me

because if you can forego all the mess of it why not I mean there's a different

type of mess you've got your wires you've got your cords you've got your

laptop but it's not you know it's not my biggest fan as the next guy I'm getting

in paint but honestly I'm just as proud of my digital art that I worked hard on

and experimented with as I am with traditional art that I worked hard on

and experimented with once again it's just a different medium and messes come

in different mediums all the time you wouldn't bash watercolor just because

it's not as messy or messier than oils that's you know that just doesn't make

sense to me the third thing people say to digital

artists the ever-popular digital art is not real art which genuinely bottom of

my heart I do not understand I really don't like I put time and effort into

this piece I needed specific tools to get this done I need to spend years

getting these skills it's a visually stimulating and

interesting piece just because it's displayed on a screen instead of on

canvas or cold-press doesn't make it any less art than something that is I'm

sorry if I don't have much more clever input than that but it's truly baffling

to me but someone can look at that and think that's not real art the only thing

I can pick is that they have a gross misunderstanding of what goes into

digital art I've gotten all of these and can take them with an eye roll and a

shrug thankfully this mindset sort of seems to be going the way of the wind

but I still heard these things in school from other artists in class and it

baffled me to hear them from artists like we're being taught all the mediums

that's the idea of going to art school again it if it's not for you but that

doesn't make it a lesser art form like I'm really bad at ceramics I'm not

familiar with it nor do I care to be but you don't hear me saying that's not real

art that's just dirt water heated until it's melted I don't I would say that how

garbage does that sound so these are the three big things that people say about

digital artists and why they are all really misguided like I said in the

beginning if you're a new artist and you're just getting started you might be

really discouraged to hear some of these things and I just wanted to clear the

air and make sure you know that digital art is incredible not to toot my own

horn here but it is great and you if it's how you want to pursue

your craft you have every right to do that and that's concludes our broadcast

Fortnite vs PUBG: Which Battle Royale Is the Best? - Duration: 4:28.

The two games we are going to talk about today seem to be in the media almost daily. Both

are survival games and take inspiration from the Japanese dystopian thriller movie, Battle

Royale. Basically, as the saying goes, it's a fight to the death. There are other kinds

of game play, such as playing in teams, and a 50/50 mode that was released by Fortnite

Battle Royale on occasions. In that case, players are asked to work together, rather

than just exterminate everything they see. Both games have been received well by critics

and players alike, and have garnered millions of fans in quite a short space of time. But

which is better? That's what we'll find out today, in this episode of the Infographics

Show, Fortnite Battle Royale vs. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

We'll start with Fortnite's Battle Royale mode. Released in 2017, it was developed by

Epic Games and People Can Fly. It's available on numerous platforms, and has been compared

to Minecraft, except for the element of having to survive and kill lots of zombie-like things.

Players are dropped into an unforgiving environment, a planet depleted of most of its population.

Players don't start with much in terms of weapons, but from there they go out and scavenge,

and attempt to be the last man standing.

In its concept, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds isn't much different. Also released in 2017,

and also available across various platforms, it's a race to survive. Created by PUBG

Corporation, it was actually released before Fortnite Battle Royale, so it can take some

kudos for that. Again, players are dropped into an unforgiving environment and must scavenge

for things that will help them survive. It's another last man standing scenario, with this

kind of game now being hailed as the genre of the day.

While the games are similar in concept, they are quite different in how they look. PUBG

has been called more realistic looking; more gritty and militaristic. Fortnite Battle Royale

is a lot more fantasy-esque and looks much more like an arcade game. It's just a matter

of what look you prefer. As for the maps, new ones keep being released. At time of writing,

it was reported that PUBG will get its third in-game map sometime in early summer. As for

Fortnite Battle Royale's Season 2, that is about to finish as we write this. Apparently,

the next theme will be space, but you will know by now. PUBG has bigger maps, but as

some players point out, that's not always a good thing. Having to traverse large tracts

of land brings attention to you, which some players don't like. PUBG has been called

a game in which you have to use tactics more and position yourself better, while Battle

Royale has been called absolute chaos. Again, it's a matter of taste as to which environment

you prefer.

Now, let's take a look at at some numbers: PUBG has sold more than 30 million copies

on Steam and a further four million copies for Xbox One. It's thought, in all, it's

made about $712 million.

Fortnite's Battle Royale mode had over 10 million users within two weeks of its release.

It's also said that this game just topped PUBG in terms of concurrent players. That

was 3.4 million for Battle Royale and 3.2 million for PUBG. This might have something

to do with cost. PUBG costs $29.99 for Xbox One and PC. Battle Royale's season three

pass can be paid for with game credits you already earned, or you can just pay 10 bucks.

Another thing to mention is that one of PUBG's biggest markets is China, and Battle Royale

isn't even available in China yet. In terms of growth, it looks like Battle Royale is

winning, although this has led to problems with its servers. That said, people have complained

about servers for both games.

But what do the critics think?

Both games have gained lots of accolades, with PUBG winning many Game of the Year titles.

Battle Royale hasn't garnered anything close to the same attention, but it came out later

and time will tell. PUBG got a score of 85 on Metacritic, which aggregates many scores.

It was also called by some "The best multi-player game ever." Fortnite scored 74, but there

is no separate score for the Battle Royale mode. Yes, people said it is fun, but it didn't

receive the same kind of superlatives as PUBG did. But things might be changing. NFL Star

J J Watt posted a poll on Twitter in 2018 asking which game was the best and 45,341

people responded. The poll ended with 74 percent of people voting for Fortnite and 26 percent

voting for PUBG. Again, this was not just addressed to the Battle Royale mode for Fortnite.

The various Reddit threads about the topic didn't show such a difference, with some

people saying they preferred PUBG and others preferring Battle Royale.
