- [Woman] Running into your ex.

It's something we've all dreaded.

- Well he's not here so...

- [Woman] You never think it'll happen to you.

But when it does...

(suspenseful music)

You need to be prepared.

Evite presents Party Etiquette.

(upbeat music)

- [Woman] Oh crap.

- [Woman] Told you.

- What do I do now?

- [Woman] Whatever you do just don't make a scene.

- Gotcha.

Don't make a scene.

Don't make a scene.

Don't make a scene.

- [Woman] Oh no, honey.

- I'm more of a cube guy myself but it's all ice.

- Heyyyy.

Oh my god.

Brad. So sorry.

- It's okay. - Let me clean you up.

I'm making it worse just like our relationship.

God.

- It's fine.

- No, listen.

You can trust me now, okay?

I've changed.

Didn't you get all those texts that I sent you?

- What?

- I've changed.

I've changed.

Give me a chance.

Give me a chance!

God.

You been working out?

- [Woman] Let's do that again.

Don't make a scene

and whatever you do don't bring up the past

and definitely don't let your ex know you've been

secretly stalking them on Insta.

- Oh.

Hey Kayla, it's good to see you.

- It's good to see you, too.

I didn't think you were coming.

I thought you were still in Paris with Lauren.

You guys have been dating what?

Six months now?

- What? - She's done for master's yet

or... - How did you...

- I mean, it's not like I created a fake account

and started to following her on Instagram or anything,

how would you suggest something like that?

- I didn't.

- While I have you here, can I add you on LinkedIn?

- Are you logged into my account?

- Yeah, you should change your passwords.

(laughs)

Just accept me. - Oh, yeah.

- Just push accept, just yeah, there it is.

- [Woman] I thought I told you not to do any of that!

(sighs)

let's try this one more time.

- Okay, I think I got it this time.

- Yeah, I mean, I prefer cubed ice but I'll take crushed.

- Hey Brad, I didn't know you were coming,

it's been forever.

How is it going?

- It's going good, it's good to see you.

- Yeah, you too.

- How are things? - How are things?

God, where do I begin, am I right?

I mean, just now have my dream job which is amazing.

I moved into a new apartment by myself

which is pretty great.

Planning on summer getaway with someone special,

he's gorgeous!

He's an accountant,

he's like my rock, you know?

And I'm also expecting a rock.

(laughs)

Pretty great, yeah.

We met on a dating app for women.

- That's great, Kayla, I'm happy for you.

- Thank you. (laughs)

- You're okay?

- Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,

no, this is just my relaxed...

- Oh.

- Just like when I'm feeling...

Stop! Keep it sweet and simple.

You're not there to brag or rehash old memories,

you're there to party,

say hello and move on.

Let's do this one last time

and let's do it the right way.

- Oh, hey Kayla, how are you doing?

- Hey, hey, I'm doing good, thanks.

This should be a fun party, right?

- Yeah, totally.

- Yeah, hey, well, good to see you!

(upbeat music)

- [Woman] You go, girl, you deserve a celebration.

(upbeat music)

Oh, oh, no.

Oh no, honey.

Your hair.

What is that?

(upbeat music)

People are looking.

Ugh.

We need to talk about your dancing.

But let's save that for another time.

21 Google Chrome TIPS & Settings YOU NEED TO CHANGE! - Duration: 5:27.

Here are 21 tweaks you need to change in Google Chrome to add new functionality,

speed up your browsing, and improve your overall experience. First we'll start in

the normal Chrome settings page. By default, Chrome will enable itself to run

in the background, but when you close Chrome, you should expect that it will

close, instead of having some processes run in the background. Disable this to

prevent Chrome from running in the background. Next, let's take a look at the

privacy and security settings. All of these are a matter of personal

preference. If you want to send more data to Google, you can help them identify

malicious websites more easily. However, on the other hand, you are sending data

to Google, which is inherently a privacy risk. For the next few items, we'll be in

the Chrome flags page, which can be found by going to the address shown on your

screen now. Here you can access even more settings that have the potential of

improving your experience. I say "potential" because all of these are

experimental and can have bugs, which is why they are not enabled by default.

However if any of them mess up your browser, all you have to do is turn them

off. Let's begin with Omnibox UI Show Suggestion Favicons. When you enable

this, rather than just having a generic page icon in your omnibox, when you are

searching for something, it will display the websites favicon, making it much

easier to identify the website. Next is include title for the current URL in the

omnibox and omnibox UI vertical layout. When enabling these flags, it will show

the website title not just the URL when you are searching for something in the

omnibox. Next is no state prefetch. This can help improve your browsing speed as

Chrome can intelligently figure out what websites you may go to next. However, be

warned that this can cause more data usage than normal.

Next is scroll prediction. This predicts your scrolling behavior and loads those

elements on the web page first. This can help speed up your overall web browsing

experience. Next is HDR mode. This is only

applicable if have a HDR display, but if you do, you should probably turn this on.

Next we have some UI changes. If you like material design, this set is perfect for

you. By typing in material design, you will uncover a whole wealth of settings

that make your Chrome look more compliant with material design,

which can theme things like the Chrome extensions page.

I love material design so I keep it on. Next is picture-in-picture. Do you know the

picture-in-picture on Android or iOS? Well, this is similar to those. By double

right-clicking on a YouTube video, you can enable picture-in-picture mode.

However, I found this a little buggy and inconsistent, but it is a cool feature

nevertheless. Next is fast tab close. This can speed up the time whenever you are

closing many Chrome tabs. Normally, when you want to close a tab, Chrome closes

down all the processes, before the tab actually disappears in the user

interface. What this does is that it gets rid of the tab immediately, and then

closes it in the background, giving the impression of making it faster. Next is

experimental QUIC protocol. This is faster and more secure than existing

protocols, like TCP and UDP. This is a new protocol that hasn't been implemented on

many websites yet, but is much faster. Next is smooth scrolling. This is very

subjective. I personally like smooth scrolling, but many people don't like it

and find that it gives the impression of being slow. Keep this on turn this off

if you don't like it. Next is tab discarding. With this enabled, Chrome will

intelligently remove tabs from RAM when there isn't much RAM left, so when you go

back to the tab, it will reload it. This can be good or bad depending on how you

think about it. It can be good to save your computer's RAM, but can be bad, as

if you are filling out a form or something, Chrome will cause it to

refresh, which could cause you to lose your progress. Next is tab audio muting

UI control. By default, Chrome will tell you which tabs have audio, however, with

this enabled you can click on the sound icon to instantly mute the tab, saving

you time. Next is scroll anchoring. Does it ever happen where you are on a

website, and it suddenly moves down because new elements are loading?

What this does is it intelligently keeps your place on the website, regardless of

the content that keeps loading above. This is incredibly helpful on desktop as

well as mobile devices. Next is show save copy button. What this does is, whenever a

website is down or can't load, it will offer you to view the cached version

that Google has stored, which can be incredibly helpful if you are trying to

find some kind of specific information on that page.

Next, we have parallel downloading. This helps speed up your downloading by

downloading files bit by bit in a parallel fashion, which can speed up your

downloads. Speaking of speeding chrome up, enabling experimental canvas features

can speed up your web page loading experience by letting Chrome use opaque

canvases, where it makes assumptions about transparent content and images and

does not load content that will not be shown. Another way of speeding chrome up

is by increasing the number of raster threads.

I recommend increasing it to 4. Raster threads are away computers read images

from websites which use pixels to form images. This can speed up slow loading

pictures on websites. Finally enable Simple Cache for HTML, which optimizes

the way Chrome allocates disk space and can help pages load quickly. After this, I

recommend clearing your website data to get the full effect. And those are the 20

Chrome settings that can make your experience better. Thank you so much for

watching if you liked the video, like it. If you hate it, dislike it. Subscribe for

more content and hit the bell icon so you never miss another video. And as

always thanks for watching.

If I was your daughter, would you support me having HSCT? - Duration: 4:21.

If I was your daughter and I had relapsing remitting MS, would you support me in having

HSCT?

I think it's very context dependent, so my view about HSCT at the moment is that we

should treat patients with MS with licensed disease

modifying treatments, first line.

That doesn't necessarily mean to say that that's an incremental

approach.

It very much depends on the patient's views, their risk/benefit perception,

other medical conditions, aspirations, disease history, prognostic factors as in is the person

likely to do badly or do we think the patient will

do badly if they don't have their disease brought under control, their illness under

control quickly.

There are all those factors in there.

So again, trying to answer your question, I

would want a member of my family to have the best available treatment for which they're

prepared to take the risk that is licensed.

If that treatment or those groups of treatments didn't work, then I would see HSCT as a

potential rescue therapy option.

Right.

So I don't think in different terms than I would in terms of my patients, with whom

I'm not related.

So whilst HSCT is exciting, you're perhaps cautiously optimistic, it isn't perhaps

the miracle cure that some people with MS might think

it is at this stage?

I think the difficult issue about HSCT previously has been lots of different sources of stem

cells, lots of different conditioning regimes, and so on, and I think it's important to

understand, based upon the previous experience and results of previous trials, what we think

is the optimal option for patients with MS and then to trial that and to follow those

patients up very carefully.

So you'll be aware that there is a study at the moment looking at one

standard of care, one very effective treatment for MS, against stem cell, autologous stem

cell transplants, and that will help to inform,

hopefully, us in terms of what the relative benefits

and risks are of a standard high effectiveness therapy against stem cell transplants.

The other thing I would say is that a lot of people

think that having had disability for a period of

time, and perhaps being less mobile, for example, and having MS for 20 years, 25 years, 30

years, that a stem cell transplant will reverse the disability that's occurred for some

considerable time, and unfortunately I don't see any evidence that that's the case.

So I think at the moment, the type of patients that seem

to do best from stem cell transplants are younger, people that have had MS for less

time, people with lower levels of disability and in

one of the retrospective studies, people that had had fewer treatments, disease modifying

treatments before they went on to stem cell transplantation.

So that needs to be unpicked and we need to understand, I think, giving

people the risk/benefit calculation is, as with every

other part of medicine, is going to be an individualised process and I think that's

what we need to start working out.

If there is a role in which patients and what are the relevant risks

in each patient group and what are the potential benefits.

Book Review: When They Call You a Terrorist - Duration: 8:22.

In today's "what I'm reading," we have When "They Call You a Terrorist" Black Lives

Matter memoir by Patrice Kahn Cullors and Asha Bandele. Patrice is one of the

cofounders of black lives matter and the reason why I picked up the book was

because I met Patrice in 2015 and was really intrigued by their story and was

curious what came before such a public life what fueled her to to do all that

she's done and is doing and so I think if you read this book you get a sense of

what politicized Patrice and why she has such a love for black people, why black

lives matter, and how the love of black people fuels black lives matter one of

the surprises of the book was that it wasn't just about Patrice's story and

her development but how her brother Monty or father Gabriel, her mom so many

people how their experiences shaped her thinking if you read this book you see

people humanized. Gabriel her father isn't just a number in the prison

industrial complex he's a full human being who struggles with addiction. her

brother is a young man who struggles with mental illness. these men are so

much more than their addiction in their mental illness, yet the book helps you

understand how systems of oppression exacerbate their experiences negatively

rather than support them or help put in preventive measures. and their stories

are not singular. there are ways in which this book brings into view some of the

basic and everyday ways that tragically black lives are targeted and impacted

negatively this book made me feel heavy at times proud I cried I raged there

were times where I put the book down and said to my partner like you won't

believe this because I think as a as a psychologist Monty story just hit me

hard that this young man didn't have an infrastructure to help

identify what was happening with him support the family and navigating care

that the police had so damaged his trust for authority and help that he was

hesitant and it took a lot of work to get him to agree to go get help. that

there were times that he went unmedicated or over medicated and it was

all at the whim or what suited the people in authority, not what was best

for him. and that disregard for his humanity and his dignity inherent in who

he is made me angry and knowing that the largest mass of mental health patients

is in the LA Jail that is maddening and for me as a psychologist I understand

the depth of pain that individuals must be in and the like the callousness

and disregard that we have for humanity if we don't support their health their

mental health let alone all the other ways that the prison system breaks

people I mentioned that black people aren't a monolith right so racism of

course impacts us but also homophobia and heterosexism and classism and so

Patrice's story brings in all of those intersecting identities and there's this

moment where she's sitting at the table she had been plucked out of her

neighborhood and chosen to go to a predominantly white school in a neighborhood

nearby that was very different than her neighborhood and she's sitting at dinner

with one of her friends and the family is all sitting down and the father's

asking about their day and their dreams and she talked about how idyllic that

scene was but then as he continues to talk she puts together the fact that

HE'S their slum Lord. he's the one that allows the building they live in their

apartment their appliances to be in disrepair and so sitting in that

contradiction is it's messy it's messy and so to be witness to her reflection

on all of those experiences was was really a gift and it made me think about

how often we accept things as just the way they are that young black

kids might in a way get plucked out of their neighborhoods to go to a "good

school," and how it's seen as oh they're so lucky that they get to go to

somewhere that's resourced. and we often don't stop to ask "don't all those other

kids who aren't plucked out also deserve to be resourced?" why are we accepting that

only a few should get to escape and even this idea that you escaped escaped from

your neighborhood where your home is rather than how about we make an

investment in neighborhoods and schools so that everyone can be in a place that

they're healthy, safe, resourced, educated, and maybe think about the idea of

appropriated oppression and how its those dynamics where it's easy to pick

up 'oh well if I've been plucked out, I must be better than or

these people must be worse than and if I am trying to get out of my neighborhood

then there must be something wrong with it inherently rather than helping people

understand the systemic ways in which neighborhoods are divested and people

and whole groups are stripped of their humanity there are lots of messages that

could be inferred right you have people who are left behind and aren't plucked

thinking oh I'm not good enough. you have people looking on from the outside to

say oh look only a few of them can cut it in these good schools so it messes

everyone up to leave areas of our communities so divested. and as I was

reading the book I really felt my kind of class privilege and I realized you

know my parents are of the generation where they grew up in an under resourced

district and chose to raise us in a problem white really resource district

and yet they made sure that we knew that we were no different no better than

other people in our family who didn't make the same choice or who couldn't

make the same choice and so what might look like a good program the busing the

the transfer programs still perpetuates an idea of inferiority of black people

and I think it's worth us disrupting that and questioning that

narrative because it's simply not the case. this book made me think about a

lot of those dynamics and it's through Patrice's story that we see how black

lives matter is not just a demand it's a plea it's a prayer it's a hope and yet

it's the truth and her book does a beautiful job of helping us understand

the intersecting and overlaying ways in which black people have been dehumanized.

even though the truth is black lives matter we have yet to act in a way as a

country like black lives MATTER. therefore, we have her story. and I won't

ruin it but the wind they call you a terrorist is not just about her there's

some other layers in there that make you understand how loosely and falsely

people can be accused of terrorism simply for asserting themselves and

their own dignity so I'll leave you with that hopefully that's a teaser enough to

get you to pick it up and check out her Facebook live discussion of lv.1 March

29th in the evening on Facebook live and probably some other ones I know she's

also doing book tours but this is worth picking up and if you can hear her in

first person talk about her life experience it is worth making happen

thanks for listening if you've read the book let me know what resonated with you.

with your friends and family after reading it? let me know in the comments,

[FTH-Clip] Work With What You Got w/ Cole Howard - Duration: 4:19.

Cole: I'd started this project with Brazil and initially it was like was a ethnographic

project that I'd gotten funded by the Department of Education to go and learn

Portuguese in Brazil with the plot that I would then go back and do this

research. But like they weren't asking me to but it was like "we want to fund you

with the hope that you'll continue to move forward with this research idea"

Yeah so that was gonna probably be like my master's thesis or my

dissertation to keep on going back to Brazil during the World Cup and

during the Olympics and like witness all the changes. And I showed up to Brazil

like a week earlier than my program was - maybe two weeks earlier - because of

some miscommunication. And that was great because it gave me ability to be myself

in another country just wandering around. One of my research

hypotheses was that there was gonna be this big social resistance and

kind of movement like in resistance to like the upcoming events. And I first saw

that happening but it was you know a hypothesis right? And I show up to Brazil

and like two maybe three days later it happened. But it would happened like big!

Like 50,000 people protests in Rio. Like 200,000 people protests in Sao Paulo

And like at one time there was over a million people throughout the

country protesting because every major city had massive movements going

on at the same time and just like happened overnight.

I interviewed people that like you know big corporate guys that had friends that

worked in like the Brazilian equivalent of the FBI and they were like "we didn't

see this coming. nobody saw this coming" and so here I am like two three days in and

not only did my research hypothesis come true but like it's way bigger than

I ever saw it like saw that it could ever become. So I was just

kind of enraptured by it

I kept going out and like getting deeper into it with my like really horrible

Portuguese at the time like going and trying to like interview people and

they're just like "keep trying kid" I remember even talking to a

videographer at the time, who is a friend of my brothers, and he was just like

"You're there?" I was like "Yeah I'm here!" and he's like "oh my god" he's like

"What equipment do you have?" like "I have an iPhone 4" and he was let down so it's just like

"Okay then you just got to go out there and do what you can with it" you know and

there I was like in the middle of this like massive static energy

and feeling alive wanting to capture it and you know just taking

photos with my phone and like crappy videos and trying to interview people

with like the microphone and all that. But I found I was kind of disheartened by

the experience in some way because like as I'm breathing like tear gas in light

amounts and like I'm seeing these people like running to the front of it. And I

was like "I want to be that guy" and I was like but I want to be there for a reason

you know. And when I was talking to some of my friends that were like academics

they were just like "well it will all correlate you'll write a book about it

in like five years" So that was like kind of a letdown on its own.

And the other thing was like as I was watching how the

world media was portraying a lot of this stuff, I was like really just frustrated

because I was like "that's not what I'm seeing" you know like there needs to be

some other representation.

Top 5 Bad Elves you should never meet - Duration: 14:29.

Hello friends and welcome. The faerie universe is a place of lights

and shadows. And just as you can have the luck of meeting an inhabitant of the good town,

You can also have the misfortune of finding yourself with completely evil goblins.

That's why today I will introduce 5 dangerous goblins that you should never meet.

In England, a fearsome being roams the abandoned houses and roads in search of their victims ...

Their tricks, swindles and other malice are always the order of the day ... it is the boggart.

Boggart is a generic term used

in the north of England, to refer to a group of fearsome creatures of folklore

Anglo-Saxon Celtic Boggarts vary in size and appearance

in general, but many are represented with humanoid features and small size

They are evil beings who torment homes by making things go away, milk

cut, people can not sleep and dogs become lame.

When a family tries to get rid of them, it is extremely difficult to do so,

that no matter how much a family moves, it will follow them no matter where they go in order to ruin their lives.

On the other hand, the Boggarts of the swamps,

forests and lonely roads are terrifying beings and tricksters ... responsible for the death of men and the disappearance of children.

There was a belief that never

the Boggart should be named, because if this happened, he would attack the poor wretch until his life was ruined.

If something makes us clear the world of the Fairies, is that not everything is what it seems there ... and

in this position it is clear why. Within the Faerie Folklore of Ireland, there is

a very dangerous goblin named Gancanagh, who is known for his attractive appearance and

his fearsome ability to seduce human women and lead them to death ..

It is said that in spite of having a normal stature, his way of dressing and habits

They make it similar to a Leprechaun, as it appears with a traditional Irish pipe in its mouth.

Also, it does not cast shadow and the birds stop singing in his presence.

A peculiarity of this duende is that it is lazy and lazy, but it does not lose opportunity

at the time of seducing the shepherdesses and milkmaids. Whom he whispers into his ear with his lovely voice wonderful things,

just to love them and disappear after having had intimacy with them.

Few women survive after meeting this elf, as they usually die

of despair at not being able to find it anymore and only staying with a broken heart.

It is said that the mere presence of Gancanagh brings bad luck, not only for the unfortunate

She dies, but for her entire family or husband, since her family will be plunged into ruin for the rest of their lives.

Originally from the Philippines, "Nuno sa Punso", is a Goblin whose appearance does not differ from

others of its kind, it is small and has a long beard despite its size, but it is

its habitat makes it different and dangerous, since it lives in the mounds of ants

These are usually found in pastures, large rocks, trees, caves or rivers.

"Nuno sa pone" has a volatile temper, and retaliates against anyone

that disturbs their environment, whether by moving the earth abruptly, urinating the soil or

worse, stepping on his anthill. If this happens, it is said that it will appear suddenly

to spit at the offender, causing serious injuries that cause the entire area to swell, bleed and cause death.

It is believed that while little by little the wounds advance,

this elf takes possession of him unhappy. In the best case, he lets it live, but only to drive them crazy.

This is why people are often warned

children who take care in the areas inhabited by the Nuno, and many elders ask permission to this being at the time of penetrating their domains.

Killing a Nuno will free anyone

affected by his curse. However, if your friends discover the fact, they will hunt

to those who did it. The most recommended would be to go to an "albularyo", a practitioner

Filipino traditional medicine, and then make an offering to appease the goblin.

The next elf inhabits ruined castles that are found along the border between England and Scotland ...

There it is said that if you find a red cap on

the floor in the dark, maybe something faded, it would be better that you start praying ... since Rerdcap is stalking you.

The redcaps. They are described as robust old

with red eyes, clawed hands, big teeth and wearing a red cap over their heads.

It is said that Redcaps kill travelers who get into their enclosures and dye their hats with the blood of their victims, hence their names.

The redcap are very fast despite the

heavy pikes and iron boots they wear.

Overcoming a redcap in speed is impossible

According to folklore, the Redcaps must kill

regularly, because if the blood that stains your hat dries, they die.

Something frightening, is that committing these acts does not generate any kind of remorse, rather they seem to enjoy it.

There is a wide variety of creatures changing forms, but this is one of the most dangerous

The kelpie is a goblin that lurks next to the rivers and lakes of Scotland.

In fact, there are many bodies of water in Scotland that have histories linked to this being.

The kelpie, is a dangerous being that does not have an originally defined form, but usually manifests as a beautiful domesticated horse that remains standing next to the waters.

There, he takes advantage of the unsuspecting people who allow themselves to be tempted to ride such a beautiful animal.

for a kind of supernatural attraction attracts its victims, to which it eventually drags to the deep waters, never to see them again.

Many assume that they are devoured there.

On a few occasions, it can also take on that of a handsome young man, who would attract and seduce young women to the same end.

The only way to identify it in time is by detecting the presence of sand or grass in your hair, or hooves on your feet.

It is said that the Kelpie also warns of approaching storms with moans and neighing that can be heard in the distance ... something that may be good, but that does not take away the dangerous.

Next and to finish this video, I will share with you a modern story

as a comic, which highlights the dangerous aspect of the Kelpie that folklore has transmitted to us.

Undoubtedly, a pretty scary story. I hope that today's adventure, you liked it.

I invite you to share this video if you like ... and subscribe to my channel if you have not yet

They did to be aware of upcoming videos.

He sent a big greeting and I said goodbye. I'm Jonathan Janshon And see you in the next adventure.

on this and we're going to talk about how we can

you know be positive and that's gonna put us in a better frame of mind or

listen to some good music that we like it's gonna put it in a better frame of

mind for me working out you know what it's it's scientific that if you're

gonna if you want to have a good day go work out I totally believe that and the

science proves that as far as your emotional health and that kind of thing

I'm not seeing that if you have issues you that are beyond just you know the

positive feelings are talking to yourself in a positive way I truly truly

believe that there is a place and there are people out there that can help you

and what I'm getting at here is what I've seen and this is very common and

you look you will totally get this that people don't focus on their emotional

health until they're in crisis until it gets bad enough and I am a perfect

example of that that I have had things in my life that I thought we're fine and

that I could handle until they I couldn't and so I just want to think

about that do we set goals I'm a goal-oriented person I have goals for

all these areas of my life but I hey do I have gold for my emotional health I am

doing something right now and in my personal life where I'm really focusing

on positive and bringing positive into my life it's it's natural for me to be a

positive person but I am actually intentionally doing even more and so I'd

love to hear you know if you ever thought of this goals in your emotional

health or or what your thoughts are there so thanks for tuning in today I

look forward to talking with you next time

Sarah Jessica Parker Endorses Cynthia Nixon for New York Governor: "You Have My Love, Support and Vote"

Sarah Jessica Parkeris raising a cosmo to New York gubernatorial candidate—and her former co-star—Cynthia Nixon.  Following mounting speculation, Nixon, an award-winning actress and Sex and the City alum, launched her bid for New York governor on March 19 against current democratic governor Andrew Cuomo.

While fellow co-stars were quicker to react to the news—Kim Cattrallsaid she supports and respects any former colleagues right to make their own career choices and Kristin Davisimmediately expressed her pride in and support of Nixons run—Parker was noticeably publicly mum on the subject.  Then, on Wednesday, Parker released a statement to Page Six via a representative, stating, Cynthia has been my friend and colleague since we were little girls.I look forward to talking to her about her New York state gubernatorial bid..

@cynthiaenixon A mother An activist An advocate A fighter A NYer A dear friend Running for Governor of our great state. My sister on and off screen, you have my love, support and vote.

Well, it seems the two discussed all they needed to because Parker has since issued a glowing public endorsement of her sister on and off screen.  Acknowledging the star as a mother, activist, advocate, fighter, NYer, and dear friend, Parker said you have my love, support and vote and pointed followers to Nixons campaign website.  Parkers support is coveted considering shes a longtime vocal and proud New York resident and is synonymous with the Big Apple.  Meanwhile, Nixon has hit the ground running in her path toward the office without any prior government experience.

We talk a lot about outsiders, but sometimes a little naïveté is exactly what is needed, she recently told Glamour. With a jaded system, everybody says, Yeah, well, thats the way it is. You need somebody to come and say, Why? Why is that the way it is? Dont try to tell me that I dont have a right to stand here and say, I want to be governor, because I think youre doing a lousy job.

Nobody is talking about the things that youre not doing, so I am going to do it.. And shes going to do it with Sarah Jessica Parkers full support.

You won't believe what American Pie's Sherminator looks like now - Duration: 2:37.

You won't believe what American Pie's Sherminator looks like now

American Pie's Sherminator aka Chris Owen has revealed a drastic new look on social media.

Famed for his ginger locks, the actor now 37, has brought in the bleach as he has showcased a platinum blonde new mane.

His new 'do is for his role in the latest film in the Sharknado franchise.

It will be the sixth film in the series and will see Chris play a "blonde cowboy".

Chris won a legion of fans when he starred in the original American Pie film back in 1999.

He also appeared in American Pie 2, American Pie Presents: Band Camp and 2012's American Pie reunion.

His geeky character with an unwavering hope of bagging a girl made him a stand-out star in the movie – despite not being one of the principal characters.

His luck finally paid off when he romped with Nadia – the initial love interest of Jim Levenshtein (Jason Biggs).

Chris flew out to Romania earlier this month to film his cameo for Sharknado 6 which also stars Tara Reid, who also appeared in American Pie.

Since his stint in the famous film series, Chris has failed to have another breakout role – an article in the New York Daily News in 2014 claimed that he was a waiter at a New York City sushi restaurant.

In the article Owen said: "Life doesn't always go the way you planned.

"I love acting and this job lets me stay in the fight." Chris was married to actress Michelle Beck from 2007-2012.

Be You: Devyn Galindo - Duration: 2:32.

(soft, dramatic music)

I think I'm the happiest

taking photos and making photos

because it's not just,

like, a one day shoot for me.

It's, like, a lifelong partnership.

I'm never bored of it.

It just makes me happy.

So, a typical shoot would look like me

coming into my studio, looking outside,

checkin' out, you know, if it's overcast,

if it's sunny and what the light's looking like.

Maybe putting my camera stuff down,

and then I load up my film camera, my Pentax,

and I get to shooting.

(camera clicking)

(soft, dramatic music)

I love connecting with other people,

making a safe environment for them

to feel really comfortable to share themselves with me

and know that they're in the best of hands

and know that they're going to be portrayed

in, like, the best light that they can.

I think when I start shooting,

I almost black out a little bit.

I become hyper-focused on the person that I'm shooting.

There's something you can tune into

if you're really paying attention.

I like when it feels timeless and effortless.

I love creating photos that also shed light

on communities I care about

and communities that aren't as visible in the mainstream

and aren't being well-represented.

And I feel like I'm the truth chaser,

like, I just want to chase someone's truths.

This is what I want to do.

I want to keep creating books.

I want to keep creating images that can live forever,

'cause it's for art and for community.

I definitely feel inspired by the people I connect with.

You feel responsibility.

I gotta ride hard for my people, you know.

You just gotta break out and do you

and not listen to what anybody else has to say.

And that's cliché, but it's really that simple.

Listening Skills | Why You Don't Understand Movies, TV Shows, & Native English Speakers - Duration: 18:44.

hey guys what's up Stefanie the English coach here from EnglishFullTime.com

in this video we are going to talk about how to improve your listening skills in

English and the reason I'm making this video is because this is one of the most

frequently asked questions that I get you guys say Stefanie I don't

understand what's going on I understand you perfectly

but then when I watch TV shows and movies in English I have to turn on

subtitles because I feel like I don't understand anything okay so we're going

to talk about this and how you can improve your listening skills and what

some of the reasons might be that you're not understanding other people in

English but you understand me perfectly fine okay so to begin one of the reasons

why you understand me so well is because I speak well I have very good speaking

habits because as I was growing up I competed in speech competitions poetry

competitions I did public speaking I did acting classes I sang in choirs I

sang in jazz groups okay there are so many things that I did growing up that

really focused on helping me improve my voice and have a strong voice and the

voice that I have and also as I've become an adult I've really focused on

my voice because your voice is something that everyone has to listen to not just

you okay have you ever made a video and you're like oh I hate my voice well

think about it if you hate your voice what do other people think about your

voice because everyone has to listen to your voice right so I didn't want to

hate my voice I focused on improving my voice and I really just started

listening to my speech my patterns my speaking habits the tone of my voice

okay the sound the volume everything and I started paying attention to it anytime

you start paying attention to something and you're actively trying to improve it

and thinking why don't I like this what can I do to improve it you're gonna

start noticing things like if you listen to my voice and you ask yourself okay

why do I like Stefanie's voice you're gonna be able to identify specific

things about my voice that you like maybe it's the fact that I go up and I

go when I speak or something like that and

then you're gonna be able to incorporate that okay you you don't need a teacher

or somebody to show you how to do all of these things you can just identify what

it is and then start imitating the way that I speak or the way anybody speaks

whoever speaks in a way that you like maybe it's a famous actor or someone on

TV you can analyze their voice what do you like about it what do you not like

about it and then you can start to imitate them so going back to the good

speaking habits I was telling you guys about one of the things that I do is I

enunciate and I'm very expressive so I speak not just with my vocal cords and

my tongue and my mouth but I speak with my eyes I speak with my facial

expressions I speak in a way that communicates to you and helps make me

more understandable also the way that I pause when I speak or the words that I

emphasize when I speak all of that helps you focus on what I'm saying and be able

to listen to me for a long time and like I said I enunciate I don't

mumble I have good pronunciation habits again

these are just things that I learned how to do growing up because of the

experiences that I had I never had a teacher that really you know taught me

how to do all of this it just was something that I sort of had to do

because of the activities that I was involved in and I also taught in

classrooms for several years and I don't know if you have experienced you know

presenting in front of huge groups of people but if you're not entertaining or

if you don't speak in a certain way people will not pay attention to you and

so I have had to learn basically because of survival that if I want people to pay

attention to my message I have to deliver it in a way that's gonna hold

their attention right so just life experience has taught me how to present

in certain ways and this is why I present the way that I do and not

everybody's gonna like it and that's totally okay but a lot of you have

commented on my videos saying wow wow wow we understand you what's going on

okay so that's one of the reasons now the other reason you might understand me

more than you know TV shows and series and stuff

that is because maybe you're more familiar with my accent I grew up in

California so I speak like the way people speak in California and this

means that if you watch TV shows that are based in the US a lot of times these

shows have my same accent the people in there speak the way that I speak so

you're just very familiar with my dialect of English okay with my way of

speaking now if you watch I don't know the news in Ireland or in the UK or in

Australia maybe you're not as familiar with those accents because you have not

consumed as much material from those regions okay with their specific English

dialect and way of speaking another reason that you might understand me a

lot more than other people is because when I make youtube videos or videos in

general I am presenting so it's not that I'm trying to slow down I'm not slowing

down as you guys can see I'm speaking rather quickly right now actually right

now I'm speaking more quickly than I would in a natural conversation in a

natural conversation you guys I take my time I'm pretty slow I relax but when

I'm presenting all of a sudden I don't know what happens something inside of me

just wants to go faster and that might be you know me just wanting to keep

everyone's attention but as I go faster I'm also taking special care to make

sure I'm pronouncing words well so you guys can understand me

even though I'm speaking faster and I notice it because when I present in

front of a large group for an hour or an hour and a half oh my gosh my voice is

so sore and that's when I realize wow that I'm really putting a huge effort

into the way that I'm speaking so that I can be understood in natural

conversation I go slower I don't support my voice as well so when we say support

we're talking about the volume of the voice okay I'm really using my diaphragm

and my muscles in my diaphragm to project my voice and even though I'm the

only person in this room right now I'm speaking in such a way where if someone

was you know 50 feet away they would probably still be able to hear me that's

supporting your voice and projecting that's what I do it when I make these

videos because I am presenting and it's just this state

of being and it's just the way that I present it's how I do it so that's

another reason why you probably understand me so well now when you're

watching TV shows you're not watching people present you're watching people

act so people are acting but they're pretending to be in their natural normal

environment they're not projecting they're not pronouncing words in a way

so that anybody could understand them they're just talking okay this is also

why I've been making a series on my youtube channel about fast speech to

help you guys get more familiar with these ways of speaking with how native

speakers combine words in English so that you can start understanding us more

so yeah in these TV shows people are using slang they're using idioms maybe

they are mumbling they're speaking in ways that you don't necessarily

understand and you will learn to understand people in these shows I

promise you will but it really takes time you have to consume hours and hours

and hours and hours of TV shows over a long period of time okay this does not

happen in six months it could take a year it could take two years of

consuming material like that on a daily basis for you to really start

understanding everything that you hear and then there are always gonna be

things that go over your head okay when we say go over your head

that means there's always gonna be things that you don't understand and I'm

sure this happens in your native language too maybe there's a joke that

goes over your head and so if it happens in your native language it's also going

to happen in English and the better you get the more you're going to be able to

understand and the more you expose yourself to English the more you're

gonna be able to understand so now I'm going to share some stories with you to

put all of this into perspective I studied Spanish in Argentina for six

months then I ended up living in Argentina for several years right but in

high school and college I studied Spanish and it was my dream to study

Spanish abroad so I went to Argentina for six months and then I went back to

the USA and when I went back I was like oh my gosh this is so exciting

studied Spanish in Argentina my Spanish is probably so good you know because I

had that experience of being immersed in the culture and and in the language for

six months so I go back to the USA and I went to this outdoor market with a

friend and my friend was Mexican and there were lots of different booths with

people selling different items okay and I come to this booth and I noticed there

was a Hispanic man selling items and I was like oh perfect this is the perfect

opportunity for me to show off you know my great Spanish and how good I've

gotten etc so I asked about a product in Spanish - this Hispanic man and I said

hi wow look at this product it's beautiful whatever you know how much

does it cost and you know what he said he was like and I was like okay thanks

bye I did not understand anything that he said and I was just like oh my gosh

like this is ridiculous I studied Spanish in Argentina for six months why

don't I understand and then that's when I really learned hey just because you

studied in a country does not mean you're gonna now understand every single

native speaker okay it does not work like that because there are different

types of English you guys there are different types of Spanish and then each

individual person has a specific way of speaking you know younger people use

more slang older people use words that you know younger people never use so

there's so many different types of ways of speaking and this is why it can get

so frustrating for you guys as learners so my tip here is for you to be patient

with yourself and for you to be patient with your learning experience because

again just because you study a language for years or just because you're super

familiar with the American accent or just because you studied English in the

USA does not mean that now you're gonna understand every single native speaker

all the time right there are some specific comedians in Spanish that I

really like and I watch their shows and every single time I watch their shows

I'm like oh my gosh I've seen this show five times but this is the first time I

understand that joke or the first time I get that joke or the first time I hear

that word you can listen to the same thing multiple

times and pick up something new every single time because you're getting more

and more and more familiar with the language as you go now the next thing I

want to tell you guys about is how my sister-in-law Ren's younger sister okay

my husband's younger sister how she really improved her English when we

first met she understood some English but she really didn't speak it and then

she just watched so much TV in English and she listened to so much music in

English that now we can talk in English and have an entire conversation and she

understands everything it's phenomenal and I'm just like wow you've had such an

incredible transformation and I know exactly how she did it because I would

see her almost every single day and every single day she'd be watching TV in

English listening to music in English and then she would look up the lyrics

read the lyrics learn the lyrics and sing the songs she was extremely

involved over a four-year plus period with English to the point where now she

speaks it and she doesn't feel nervous when she speaks is she doesn't lack

confidence or anything her pronunciation is not perfect sometimes she messes up

her grammar is not perfect sometimes she messes up but still that is how she was

able to really learn English and improve her listening skills again constant

exposure day after day year after year now with that I want to end by sharing

another story okay this is the story about a guy I did a private coaching

call with back when I did private calls I do not offer private sessions

anymore but basically during this call he was like Stefanie I'm so frustrated

with my listening skills what you know what do I have to do to improve and I

was giving him all this advice like the best possible advice I could give

and then he would repeat himself and he'd say Stefanie I'm really struggling

with my listening skills you know what do I have to do to improve and so I'd

give him more advice and I'd tell him more stories and I'd explain in detail

exactly what he had to do and then he'd say Stefanie I'm really struggling with

my listening skills I really just want to know what I have to do and at that

point I was like oh my gosh yeah you really do struggle with your listening

skills because I've explained this to you a million different ways and I give

you the answer I have the answer and I've given it to you and you're still

asking the same question I like my mind was blown I was like is this what what

is wrong with this guy right now because he was understanding what I was

saying you know he really wasn't having trouble understanding me but he just

kept asking the same question because he did not like my answer that's literally

it he did not like my answer he did not

like what I was telling him he was looking for a magic solution and there

is no freaking magic solution I am so sorry to say it but it needs to be said

there's no magic solution people are always looking for a quick fix to do

this or to do that think about the things you have mastered how long has

that taken you okay if you're a doctor or whatever your profession is or

whatever you're good at if you're really good at chess or soccer I don't care

what it is what are you really good at right think

about how long it has taken you to master that skill and to get to that

really high level now English is no different listening skills speaking

skills are no different if you really want to master something you have to go

to a really deep level with that subject day after day year after year that is

literally what it takes and again there is no magic solution and when I talked

to this guy I asked him you know after he kept asking me the same questions

over and over again I was like okay wait stop let me identify what you have

actually tried because when somebody is struggling with something you really

have to figure out why they're struggling with it like what went on

what what have they tried what has worked what hasn't worked so I asked him

and I said okay how long have you been studying English for and I think his

answer was like three years or two years or something like that and he had been

living in the USA for one year and this was his big struggle he's like I'm

living in the USA and I'm struggling to understand native speakers so after

asking him all of these questions I discovered that he had been studying

English for about three years he had been living in the USA for about one

year but before going to the USA he was not very involved with English he was

studying using textbooks and he was not exposing

himself to the language he did not watch TV shows in English he did not listen to

music in English and then all of a sudden he came to the USA and he was

struggling with his listening skills and understanding native speakers and he was

like hey you know now I am listening to music every day now I am watching TV

shows every day you know but I'm still struggling with it and once I realized

the timeline that we were dealing with I was like okay at this point you're doing

everything you possibly can to improve your listening skills you're controlling

what you can control but there is something that's out of your control

that you can't control and that's time that's literally the amount of time it

takes your brain to absorb a language and to process it and to make it become

a part of you you have to assimilate the language okay so when he was studying in

English in his country he was not very involved with the language then he went

to the USA completely immersed studying 24/7 and at that point he had only been

in the USA for one year so that's just not enough time if he

kept doing that year after a year maybe in about two years he'd feel really

confident with his English and three four or five years definitely he would

feel confident with that level of study and immersion so anyhow I really hope

that this video answers your guys's questions about why you understand me

and why you don't understand other people I and hopefully you guys are

satisfied with these answers because this is the answer if you're here

looking for a magic solution or something like you have to listen to

English while you sleep for 30 minutes every day and then I don't know drink

some special brain juice and this and this and that I don't know there are no

magic solution so if that's what you were here looking for I'm sorry to

disappoint you but if not hopefully you find comfort in the fact that as long as

you are exposing yourself to the language day after day year after year

you're going to get to that level where you understand okay and not just me but

also where you understand TV shows all right so that's it thank you so much for

How to Be Free of Attachments - Mooji - Duration: 11:37.

I felt that I have to come no yes but it happened again that while you were

speaking just now I had this attachment I have carrying with me for quite a long

time and then I knew that died I had to speak about this with you but then every

time when I'm in satsang it there's no mine I know that I'm already

free yes you listen to that every time he says my intention is to expose this

attachment that I have you see but every time I come to satsang I can't find it

again I have this attachment which means it's troubling my life at some level and

I know I must dump I must come and declare Mooji attachment what can I do

but when I'm in satsang ah it's happened again I can't find my attachment you

have you found the cause of this of this vanishing I'm not sure can i how can I

answer but I can try

there's nothing nothing

now now in this very moment there is still I can sense it and I somehow carry

carry that thing with me it's about my daughter and I have been with her since

almost four now a very intensive intensely and and then I I was

participating this see my retreat yes and then I was soap it was supposed to

go home straight after but I I had these openings and I felt that actually just

we were speaking about that about dream state deep sleep I felt that

I was I was inquiring all night and then I woke up I was I slept only short

period period of time and then I felt that I was I slept very first time in my

whole life and I was still sleeping even though I was I was awake already

yeah and it felt like I was alive in a very first time in my whole life and I

knew that I have to appreciate this and that's why I decided to stay yes just as

you say tell me a little bit about this sleep that you speak about as you speak

that I was still asleep even though I was awake yes yeah did you hear me say

this you must pay attention to this because it's something very significant

but he speaks about hmm I was deeply asleep even though I was completely

awake but it been

it means that somehow even though the functioning is taking place there was

something like the sleep state but it's not the phenomenon sleep this sleep were

not that sleep it means I was asleep to the senses I sleep to the mind they

could not engage me I was separate from them was it be like that yes yes is he

so functioning is a plane this is actually an expression of natural state

the actions are taking place you don't even know how they are done they're

happening but there's a something quite integral about the movement it's

coordinated it's not like you're bumping into trees or something your actions are

taking place and they seem quite appropriate somehow but there is no

personal investment in it there is no not that you know oh this anxiety that

that accompanies the person it's not present so there is a harmony in that

state and this has been reported from ancient scriptures also that this is a

natural state where the senses everything is there is sahaja state and

functioning is taking place things are seen interactions actions reactions are

taking place but somehow in the space of the nonreactive presence is there yet

these activities are taking place without identity actually this is the

most beautiful

actually the better you get at something really the less the reason why you get

really really good at it mostly is because your identity leaves you become

unselfconscious psychologically and you flow is a flow but the minute you become

conscious that you're good like the case of the caterpillar the scent of pee

mmm dancing then all becomes a kind of craziness again easy how to prevent this

person from coming back in by knowing it doesn't exist

whether he's in or out he still does not exist how it mean don't exist

I mean I can see him I can feel his energy coming back in again what it

means it doesn't exist yes he does not exist apart from you your belief in him

energized his existence he cannot live independent of you he runs on phantom

power what it means phantom power some of you are very much into this kind of

things you can know that something doesn't have power by itself but when

it's plugged into something it takes the power from that thing and appears to be

powerful runs on phantom power

you keep confirming that no experience can be registered without you who

perceived them and keep confirming and affirming your true place and gradually

and this nuisance will go will drop away from you you'll lose interest in the

sense of person as long as you are interested in the person how well the

person is doing and so on it will perpetuate it will continue to be

present as soon as you begin to discover your true nature and the beauty the

fragrance that arises from your pure nature nothing can compete with that

nothing from this world or any other world can compete with the purity of the

self it gives rise to the expression to enjoy yourself that's what it means to

be in the joy of your own self

you may say but what about my daughter no yes what a sacrifice because maybe

it's selfish I should be with her yes and I'm here tripping out

spirituality your mind would like to present this option to you but you must

see things in a totality your daughter is not separate or anything so separated

from you in this way it's like a matrix a field of being the one who is with you

now as you is with her now as she yes yes I know yes you are wit with her and

you are with me yes thank you so much it takes care of everything yes yes it is

the divine physics and mathematics it takes care of all accounts sometimes I
