In this chapter

We are going to complete the two first quests of the game

They are quite easy quests even if the starting equipment sucks

We will overview the combat basics of gunlancing

Ignore the dude

Let's get started

Those red fruits makes for a decent makeshift ranged weapon

Its main use is to draw aggro in multiplayer and keep monsters form running away

Kaboom

Mediocre damage

Normal 1 is awful for shelling really bad

so dont shell yet, at all

But for a quick set up of slam as demostrated here

Make a costumbre of sidesteping after attacking

Shorts recover and give monster a harder time to focus on you

Stab is fine for little monsters, quick and to the point

The forward lunge is an awesome move. lots of range, hits harder than stabs and can be followed to slam.

Rule 1 of monster hunter: Pick everything on the way

Rule 2: Keep your weapon sharp before the combat

Gunlancing eats sharpness quickly

When a bunch of monsters are close together...
