Waching daily Mar 4 2018

Shh, today is such a super secret for the best markets to invest in. I'm investing

in a place and in a zone that most people don't even really know is a great

market to invest in. I can't wait to share it with you.

Alright, back with the best markets to invest in and today I'm going to take you

to a little old place in North Carolina called Charlotte. Now Charlotte is a

really really great market to be investing in and buying real estate and for

some very specific reasons, let's start again at that macro level. If you've been

enjoying this series and learning about where I'm investing and why I'm investing

there and the returns that I'm getting, this market is different than those

other ones, there are some things that I like about it.

How many of you like the idea of making a lot of money on new construction that

is still being built at a price point that leaves you with equity and a

monster cash flow? That's what we're finding right now in Charlotte. So

I'm doing something a little different in this market, it is a niche market,

we're transacting a lot of real estate every single month there and

let's just talk a little bit about Charlotte. First of all, Charlotte direct

has an 842,000 person population so it is

right now the largest city in North Carolina but it is the third fastest

major city in all of the United States so Charlotte direct has 842,000

person population, that makes it the largest city in the

state but more importantly that, it is the third fastest growing population in

America. Now if you've been watching some of the other videos on the best markets

to invest in, you're going to realize that there's a pattern here. I like

being in markets where the cost of living is down,

I like being in markets where the population has a lot of upward growth

trend but I really like being in the markets where there's a lot of

population growth and one of the reasons why I love that population growth is

because more people equal more houses, more houses equal building them at the

cost of rebuild and the cost to rebuild is based on a

commodities market and so lumber is more expensive today than it was then because

commodities will always increase and be on the rise and so this is a pattern

that I like to find myself in but in addition to that, North Carolina is also

a special place because it's like the second largest business banking center

for the entire United States. You got headquarters for a Bank of

America there, headquarters for Wells Fargo there, that makes this a really

attractive place for us to be because we've got great population growth, it's a

fast growing area and what am I doing out here in North Carolina?

Well, in this specific market, I'm capitalizing on the rebuild market and

on brand new homes so we're specifically buying homes that we're buying below the

median there between $180,000 and $220,000 so right at and below

that median but because they're new build, we're able to get away with these

incredible growth markets. We're doing 15% to 20% on our growth on

brand new homes which by the way, on a new build making that kind of growth,

that's really exciting. Think for just a moment about what

happens when you drive a car off the car lot, the value goes down. Well very

similarly in the real estate market, when you buy a new home, the value doesn't go

down but I'll tell you that when you're buying it brand new, you're buying it out

of premium meaning, you're not getting at a discount because it costs something to

build. This market has something very special happening where we're actually

buying it in these phases with a good equity stance but we're also buying

these homes with an even greater cash flow. Why? Because it's a very very strong

powerhouse rental market. All these factors, they've come together and they

ultimately helped us determine what makes the most sense so once a while

I'll meet investors that will be like, "Oh, Kris, you know if I buy a home, you know,

how does age factor into a home?" And in this video, let me just talk about that

for just a moment because I'll tell you, I once bought a home that was built in

1907 and that house had repairs like you probably can't imagine, it was one of the

first homes that I bought, I got it at a ridiculous deal, I actually sold it and

made a tremendous profit years later on it but the upkeep on that home well I

owned it was not really fun, it was ten thousand here is two thousand here, I

mean, they had all old electrical, this isn't voltage that and

and the plumbing was old and it was shiplap versus drywall, this is an old

home so I think I probably made $60,000, $70,000 by the time I sold it several

years later but the maintenance on that home was horrific. If you were to ask me

today, "Kris, will you buy an old home like that again?" Yes but only at the

right price. You see, a property like that, I need to have a way better equity

position on it and I'm probably more interested in letting it go, flipping it

and selling it but I am doing any kind of long-term hold on it. Homes like that

if you have to put in $30,000 or $40,000 or

$50,000 on a remodel, that's not my jam, that's more than cosmetic, you

know, stopping on paint, getting new carpet is one thing, replacing everything

down to the stud is a different thing but on the other extreme, we've got new

homes and there are some people that are these I don't know,

I called them real estate investor romantics. I want a new home and I want

the granite countertop and I want it to be a home that, yeah, you would live in.

Guess what,it's an investment, it's not for you, it's for some other human being,

do not ever buy a home that you would live in or a home that you would want is

your dream home. It's like, "Oh my gosh, we could put in the solid surface but if I

put in granite, I know it's double the money but it looks so pretty." Pretty is

not going to get you more money out of that property, all it will do is increase the

perceived value which will mean that you can sell it faster but you're not going

to recuperate money out a lot of those things. If you got a toilet made out of

porcelain and a toilet made out of gold, gold does not increase the value of the

home. If you put copper, gutters up, it does not increase the value of the home

because the home needs to have a functional toilet and a toilet that cost

$50,000 because it's gold-plated or just porcelain that came

out of Home Depot for $79 will not impact the value of the home so don't

ever put a gold toilet in a property. So a new property, a lot of people get

excited about that, personally, if a home has been built you know, if you take a

look at 1970, 1980, when they started updating their electrical systems, their

plumbing systems, that's a big deal for me.

So once I start getting to a home that was built in the 90's and the 2000's, hey,

I'm not anticipating a lot of problems on that house because we worked

through a lot of our modern-day problems, about 40 to 50 years ago so anytime I'm

buying older than that, it does become a consideration. Am I going to ask for a

better deal? Yes, I am. Why? Because I'm going to have more costs, I'm going to have a

few more headaches on my property manager will and so, it all gets taken

into account. Kris, would you buy a home from the 1600's? I would for a buck,

wouldn't you? Plus it's probably historically, you'd probably make it a

museum, who knows, right? Alright, so what I'm really trying to tell you here

is that, I like North Carolina because there are new homes in there's new

construction and that just means again low maintenance but it's not that big of

a draw of difference than then a home from 1990 because they're both

maintenance wise going to perform really

well however, getting a new construction project that still has these high ROI

and these high cash flow because the equity play, the growth play and because

of the rental market, these are fantastic properties, this is my first time in my

life actually in the last 15 years of investing I've ever bought new homes and

have them perform like older homes so that makes really this market very

unique and very special, this is one of my personal hot markets that I like to

be in and thank you for joining me today. What a unique opportunity, right? Like

getting amazing deals on brand new homes. If you want to learn more about that,

Facebook CAUGHT Selling Your Facial Data - Duration: 4:50.

Hey, this story, facial recognition, people probably don't know this story.

Class action was filed by a friend of ours.

Yeah, Geller.

Geller, Paul Geller's actually a friend of ours that we're working on the opioid, national

opioid, case with.

A very good lawyer.

He filed a case that said that ... His class action case.

We said that Facebook is trying to gather information with facial data recognition and

harvesting.

What's your take on this case?

Well, first of all-

You've handled-

Yeah, yeah.

These are a line of cases that are coming from all over the country and the Facebook

case about taking your facial recognition and using it and storing it.

There's actually some acts around the country that prohibit that from a privacy perspective

that you can't take those biometric measurements off of somebody's face and use them.

But here's what I think is interesting.

The way these cases are losing and it's not just this kind of case, it's also the data

breach cases, is the argument from the defense is that there's no harm.

That part of the Article III standing to bring a case is you have to demonstrate-

Actual harm.

... actual harm.

Like actual harm.

But where I get a little uncomfortable with this is if somebody steals your data, your

information, your drivers license number, your social security, and you can't show that

it's actually been used to cause you any financial harm, or in this case, so they stole a picture

of your biometric, Facebook did.

You can't show any harm.

So a lot of courts are kicking these cases out around the country and the case law's

developing.

But I'll tell you what, if you've gotten your information stolen and then somebody tells

you you don't have any harm, I don't think you might [crosstalk 00:01:39]

Okay, look, let's say that somebody was a celebrity.

Okay?

Yeah.

I've taken that celebrity's facial information, I'm going to use it somewhere.

There's a dollar value on that.

I mean, that's clear.

Oh, yeah.

That's a little more clear.

I think that's clear.

But the argument has always been that, yeah, we did this.

The ugly thing is, yeah, we did this and unfortunately we got caught doing this thing.

Right.

That's basically their defense.

We did it, we got caught doing it.

I wish we hadn't gotten caught.

But you know what, judge, even though we got caught, there's really no ... There's a violation,

yeah, but there's no damage to the violation.

And really what the violation comes down to is notice to that person and consent by that

person to say, "Yeah, you can take images of my face.

You can store the data, you can do whatever you want to with it."

But this is the second time Facebook's popped up in the last few weeks.

Yeah, Spokane.

Yeah, talk about that.

Absolutely.

The Virginia case.

The Virginia case, which is the ... Is that the case about Robbins?

No, that's [crosstalk 00:02:42]

No, the Virginia-

Oh, the Virginia man.

Yeah.

That was that he couldn't sue an online search engine for posting inaccurate information

until he suffered an actual harm-

Actual ... The term is actual-

Actual harm.

Actual harm is how they try to describe.

There's no actual harm.

But what the 9th Circuit said different.

9th Circuits said different, which, of course, that's California and a little bit more liberal

that has a little more liberal standard that says, you know, economic status could cause

concrete harm.

That could affect your ability to get a job, unlike more innocuous information about a

wrong zip code.

But, I mean, you can get your ... There's a lot of circuits around the country that

said you can get your personal information stolen, but as long as you can't demonstrate

somebody actually use it to get a credit card or charge against you, you don't have actual

harm, a concrete harm.

So the definition of concrete harm is what the turn key is here.

And that standard needs to be broadened because [crosstalk 00:03:32] otherwise there's no,

hey look, we don't have to really pay to keep your information safe because there's no ramifications

for hackers.

Yeah.

Let me point something out.

State legislators can do something about this.

For example, Illinois.

Right.

In Illinois, there's a very clear statute.

It's an enacted statute because they went ahead and looked at this whole cyber problem

and they said, "We have a statute that if you do, if Facebook does these things and

they don't get consent and they don't get notice, the person doesn't get notice and

consent that there's a statutory kind of recovery."

Every state could do that and, as a matter of fact, depending on what Paul Geller, our

friend, does out in California, they may have to end up doing that.

Don't you think?

Sometimes a big lawsuit like that changes the way-

Absolutely, and now there's enough mass of these cases from around the country that should

push them.

I mean, one of the issues in the Illinois statute was even your facial geometry, so

facial recognition that they're using.

Have you used that clear thing in the airport where you put your fingers on it?

It's incredible.

What kind of information pops up on those things.

I know.

It's a little scary.

It it.

The standard needs to be broadened up to protect us at the end of the day.

For sure.

oregano,

garlic powder,

Let's get started.

First step is seasoning the chicken

using all the spices, except the oregano.

Give the chicken breast a good rub,

Make sure it is covered with spices.

Rub the other side too.

Get all the spices from the cutting board, you want it to be seasoned well.

You want it to be tasty.

Get the mozzarella out of the way, we need it later.

Get the spices out of the way.

Get an oven tray,

add the diced tomatoes,

level the tomato layer,

add some vegetable oil,

add oregano,

It's the moment you've prepared for

gently lift the chicken breast and place it over the tomato layer.

Bake the chicken breast for 30-35 minutes at 180°C.

30 minutes have passed, about 35 to be precise

the chicken breast is cooked

The Lost Connections Experiment | Can You Overcome Depression? - Duration: 32:05.

I often wonder how I went from someone who was so anxious and depressed and I

was even suicidal I was like this for so long and I wonder how am i someone now

who loves life and wakes up every day excited and happy to be here I look at

it I'm like is there something I did is there some kind of formula that I found

that I can maybe relay to everybody out there to potentially help them the

answers that I've been looking for might be found in the new book called lost

connections by an author by the name of Johann Hari and in this video I invite

you to join me as I try to find out if there's a secret formula for overcoming

depression what is up everybody this is Chris from the rewired soul where we

talk about the problem but focused on the solution and I just finished the

book lost connections by Johann Hari and in this book he talks about the sources

of depression as well as solutions so I wanted to do something kind of

interesting with this video and use myself as a test subject for an

experiment and put his solutions to the test part of johann story is that he was

on antidepressant medications for about 13 years and he found that they never

really solved the problem he would start taking um he'd be depressed again he'd

go back to the doctor they would up his dosage and he would be depressed again

and then they would up his dosage again and this is a story that is far too

familiar for a lot of us who have taken antidepressant medications so what's

going on so in his book he challenges this story that we've been told about

depression this story that if you have depression then there is something

chemically wrong with your brain here's a medication this will fix it it'll take

those low serotonin levels it'll raise it back up and you will be fixed but

like I mentioned a lot of us have a much different experience with that so he

spent all this time gathering as much data as possible and put them all into

this book to see if he could find the real sources that led to some real

solutions so Johann believes that there are nine primary sources of depression

all right and in this video I'm gonna be breaking down those nine sources of

depression I'm gonna share a little bit of my experience as well as what they

are see how they relate to me then I'm gonna talk about his solutions and see

if maybe this helps come up with that formula that I've been wondering about

to see if there is actually something out there that can help people like all

of you live much better lives overcoming your depression my hope my hope by doing

this experiment is that Johann Hari is right about the real ways and solutions

to overcoming depression so make sure that you share this video because even

if you're not somebody who struggles with depression share this video with

somebody because it might be able to help them out alright so let's get this

thing started so first like I said we're gonna go

through the nine different disconnections as Johann Hari calls it

we're gonna talk about those and what I want you to do as you watch this video I

want you to ask yourself questions as we go through these different

disconnections ask yourself these questions do you feel or have you felt

disconnected from these different things alright let's get started disconnection

number one lack of meaningful work so the biggest study on work was done by

Gallup and according to their studies 13% of people love their work

63% of people sleep work and what they mean by sleep work is pretty much you

just show up to work to collect your paycheck then twenty four percent of

people hate their job I did a video on this recently that you'll find linked

above in the info card but when you figure that 80% of people don't have

meaningful work and it's where we spend most of our adult life this is a huge

factor for becoming depressed so for me personally my first real job was in the

car dealership industry and it was one of the most stressful depressing jobs

that I had basically it was my job to be the guy who you yelled at when your car

breaks down and you got to bring it into the dealership all right so spending my

days getting yelled at by customers but also my my paycheck was 100% based on

Commission so it was extremely depressing and extremely

anxiety ridden okay and if I'm being honest this is actually when my

alcoholism started to progress every night I was going home

trying to get blackout drunk so I can leave work behind

and they didn't progress to a point where I started taking shots of booze

before going into work because I knew how bad my day was going to suck so yes

I was in a job for a very long time that was fueling my depression because I

didn't feel like I had meaningful work and it was also making me extremely

anxious disconnection number-6 disconnection from other people when you

feel alone it makes you feel both depressed and anxious we often forget

that based on our evolution we're tribal people we've survived by being here for

each other and helping each other for hundreds of thousands of years now in

the age of internet connection were more disconnected than ever before I want you

to ask yourself a few simple questions so I can try to prove my point to you do

you feel uncomfortable if a stranger sparks up a conversation with you do you

find it uncomfortable to start a conversation with a stranger now even

strangers decide how many close friends would you say that you have why is it

that when Humanity has risen to the top of the food chain over the course of two

hundred thousand years by sticking together that we feel so uncomfortable

just simply talking to other people on this planet

now growing up as a child of an alcoholic mother one of the symptoms of

children of alcoholic or addict parents's is this feeling of

disconnection to other people throughout my childhood I felt like nobody

understood what I was going through and I often wondered why can't I be like

them why can't my family be like them and I always just felt uncomfortable in

my own skin so as I got older this really progressed

even worse so even in high school even though I was a triathlete playing

multiple sports I had a ton of friends I had girlfriends in high school all these

things I always felt like I was not part of normal society

and for some of us this is even our family some of us feel like that black

sheep like we don't even belong in our own family disconnection number three

disconnection from meaningful values we live in a world where we're constantly

being told that we're not good enough and the only way to feel good enough is

by having things did you know that the average person experiences about 5,000

advertisements per day this comes in the form of TV commercials radio commercials

brand logos that your clothes as well as different stores he

packs by every single day in this book Yohan makes a very good point in the

chapter he says that literally the worst advertisement in the world would be to

tell you that you're perfect just the way that you are and you're loved by

everyone who matters let's think about it if commercials told you this would

you ever buy anything of course not so our value system has been screwed up

because we're constantly being told that we're not good enough and we need things

to make us good enough the problem with believing that things are going to make

us happy is that we're never gonna be happy because we're constantly moving

the goal line there's always going to be a better job there's always gonna be

more money there's always gonna be a nicer car a bigger house a better girl

to date or guy today you know what I mean all these things that were trying

to chase after their costly moving not only that but this constantly makes us

even more depressed because we're constantly basing our insides the way

that we feel based on what other people have that's one of the reasons why

social media can be so depressing they're constantly looking at what other

people have and what we don't and I can definitely relate to this one because

this is how most of my life was I always thought if I could just make a little

bit more money I'll be happy if I could just date that girl I could be more

happy if I could just buy these things I could be happy but I eventually got to

that point I was making a lot more money than I ever thought I would make but I

was actually more depressed than I had ever been because I was completely

disconnected from my values disconnection number four disconnection

from childhood trauma this seems like a no-brainer but it's one of the biggest

factor when it comes to depression as I just mentioned having a traumatic

childhood myself I felt disconnected from other people in the last video that

I did it was found that some 55% of people in an obesity study were victims

of sexual abuse and even more people in that study were victims of other forms

of childhood trauma research has shown us time and time again that various

forms of the most common mental illnesses are purely based or largely

based on the way that you were raised or what we experienced

as a child and yes we're talking about things like depression anxiety PTSD and

even ADHD there's been some recent studies that show children that spend

more times with their parents are less likely to develop symptoms of ADHD we

need to start realizing that as a society mistreated children turn into

mentally unhealthy adults disconnection number-5 disconnection from status and

respect we live in a world of social hierarchies and numerous studies have

been done that show were the most anxious and depressed when our status is

low or it's threatened we feel low because we're told that the most

important people in this world are rich and celebrities so much so that we

currently have a reality TV star as our president of the United States and we

get a good political advice from celebrities studies have shown that in

countries like Norway where the status gap is much smaller people are less

anxious and depressed countries like the United States with much larger gaps we

have more people struggling with anxiety and depression we're far more depressed

and anxious when we fear our status is threatened so if you're like me I've

constantly worked at jobs where there wasn't much job security if you meet

certain numbers or goals you're fine but if you don't your head might be on the

chopping block so this means we need to combine this with disconnection number

one lack of meaningful work this means that 87% of us are either depressed or

anxious because of a job that we don't even like 87 percent of people are

depressed or anxious due to low status or a lack of respect at a job that

doesn't even give them meaning in life I can personally really relate to this all

right when I had about a year and a half sober

the closest I've ever come to relapse was after I got fired from a job that I

hated like let that sink in for a minute right like I talked to clients all the

time like the depression that hits them from jobs that they lose that they never

even like from in the first place like it's such a sick and twisted combination

this connection number six disconnection from

the natural world as humans were extremely egotistical beings so much so

that we forget the simple fact that were animals the more disconnected we are

from nature the more entitled selfish and self-centered we become depression

feeds off of us being stuck in our heads and believing that we're the most

important things in the universe we're constantly thinking about our wants our

needs and our desires as a woman named Isabelle in the book explains it's hard

to think you're the most important thing on earth when you hear the roar of a

lion and realize that you're just lunch this this book is not recommending that

you move out to the African savannah and live with like a wild animals but the

point they're trying to make is we're extremely disconnected from nature and

part of our depression is forgetting how not only are we a very small part of

everything in the universe but we're also connected to everything else on our

planet as well as the universe aside from that countless studies have shown

that people more connected with nature are happier and less anxious this is why

it really bums me out and when I'm in mental health support groups on Facebook

and I see people post this mean it really shows you how the pharmaceutical

companies tell us exactly where they want us the more that we're thinking

that natural remedies cannot help our depression or anxiety the more money

that they get to make like think about that for a second alright I know I know

this sounds like some crazy kind of tinfoil

conspiracy theory but make sure that you're subscribed to my channel because

I will do a much more deeper dive into the pharmaceutical industry as well as

antidepressant medications okay I promise I'm not crazy I guess that's

exactly what a crazy person would say though right anyways subscribe stay

tuned disconnection number seven disconnection

from a hopeful or secure future when we're depressed is hard to for us to

imagine any type of future under than what we're currently experiencing one of

the most common symptoms of depression is a feeling of hopelessness there was

an interesting study done at a psych psychiatric ward for teens

they had two groups of teens one of the groups of teens were there for anorexia

to the point where they'd have to be in a psych hospital and the other group of

teens were there for severe depression or suicide attempts

they each read the Christmas carol as well as another book that teaches

powerful life lessons to the main character and teens who were there for

anorexia were easily able to explain how the main character might change and have

a different future based on the lessons that they learned when the teens who

were there for severe depression and suicide attempts were asked the same

questions about how the main character might grow and change in the future they

couldn't answer this question they were even a little bit puzzled by what the

question even meant and yes this was one of the dis connections that I had when I

was at the lowest point in my depression and I was extremely suicidal I had no

possible vision of the future nothing looked different everything looked the

same and that's what gets us into that hopeless state disconnection 8 & 9 the

real role of genes and brain changes throughout the book Johann Hari pointed

out studies that the story were told about low serotonin levels being the

source of depression isn't entirely true as I mentioned before this isn't just

some crazy theory I will make another more dedicated video on this ok I

promise you in one of the previous videos I did I talked about these

studies that were done where it talked about how only 37% of depression is

based on your genetics ok most of it is dependent upon our environment

situations that we get in trauma and all those things so of the vast majority of

people experiencing depression it is not the genetic component see one of the

reasons why this is so dangerous this is dangerous thinking to think that we just

have a broken brain is that it puts us in a situation where we think I'm

chemically imbalanced things can never get better I'm always gonna be like this

but there have been so many studies in neuroscience on something called neuro

plasticity I will link to another video I did called the science of hopelessness

but science has discovered that our brains are constantly changing from the

day that were born until day that we've died so no matter what's

happening in your life right now no matter what's going on with your mental

illness science has proven that it can change alright enough about the problem

let's get into the solution because that's how we do here at the rewired

soul but now I'm gonna take a look at Johann Hari solutions and see if this is

some type of formula that maybe I can relate to and this might be something

that can help all of you out there or someone that you know alright so let's

get started there are seven reconnections so let's break them down

one by one we'll take a look at them and I'll share a little bit of my experience

to see if these are reconnections that I've made that might be the answer to

why my life is so much better and I have far more good days than bad days and I

have no longer severely depressed so reconnection number one is to other

people so I personally start of feeling reconnected to other people for me

personally it was food 12-step programs but for all of you out there if you are

not a drug addict or not an alcoholic you for somebody who just experiences

depression or you've been through trauma like the point is reconnecting with

other people what happened to me was I started to attend these 12-step groups

and I started to realize like I'm not alone I'm not alone in this struggle

there are other people out there who understand what I'm going through but

the beautiful part of what I experienced was is that we're all there to pick each

other up one of my favorite sayings is thank goodness we don't all have a bad

day on the same day so through different types of community groups that you can

get and live like you start seeing that you are not alone and it will begin to

reconnect you with other people number two social prescribing so in the

book lost connections there was an interesting method in England that was

introduced to people who were depressed they were put into groups and they had

to go around to various parks or they were assigned apart and their job was to

clean up the park plant flowers and get it all nice and beautiful for the

neighborhood and through this experience what they found was not only did they

start connecting with each other so that also solved the disconnection from other

people issue but they also found that they were now having meaningful work

and they saw that they were actually doing more to contribute to the society

they constantly had people from the neighborhood coming by and thanking them

or bringing them food and everything looked amazing so part of social

prescribing is basically working with a group towards a common goal of making

this world a little bit better of a place and yeah I can definitely relate

to that today I am surrounded by people and I choose to be surrounded by people

who all have the same goal of making this world a better place from everyone

for my mom my mom is not only is she in recovery from addiction she works at a

drug and alcohol treatment center she goes in every day helping people

overcome symptoms of mental illness as well as their addictions to drugs or

alcohol then I have amazing people in my life like my beautiful girlfriend and my

son who get involved with everything that I'm doing to help promote better

mental health and increase awareness and stop the stigma and then my best friend

bosses she is one of the kindest people that I know and she is constantly trying

to make this world a better place which is also costly influencing me to

try to make this world a better place so the social aspect of what I'm doing

today is much different than what it used to be reconnection number three

meaningful work of the thirteen percent of people who love their job 63 people

who sleep work and 24 percent of people who hate their job I can definitely say

that I fall into the 13% man working with my clients who are struggling with

various forms of mental illness as well as trying to overcome a drug and alcohol

addiction like I love my work I love my work like man I almost hate talking

about it because it feels like I'm like gloating about it but no like I want to

let you know that it is possible to find a job where you find meaning in your

work I wake up every day excited to go in and see how I can help people today

and maybe just maybe making a small impact in their lives like if we're

being completely honest here I love my work so much that even though I work

five days a week and I'm on call throughout the weekend I then come home

and make this youtube channel so I can keep trying to help people in more ways

you see what I love what I do so let's work on making

that 13% a much larger percentage it is possible reconnection number for

meaningful values I would say that this is probably the number one thing that

has helped me overcome my depression and it's so hard to explain it to people

like when I explain it to people they look at me like I'm crazy and for me

like through through my experience it just really shows me how really

disconnected people actually are from their values like I no longer judge

myself from what I have or don't have I'm not going around in social media

basing my happiness on whether I have more stuff than the next guy or a bigger

house than that guy or a nicer job or anything like that

like I used to think that I would only truly be happy until I got a nice big

house and I eventually got to that point and now if I'm being completely honest

with you like I pretty much live in the hood and I am happier than I've ever

been like one of the best things is I'm no longer just this mindless consumer

who is costly running towards the next shiny piece of electronics or the new

clothes or the new car or anything like that and like it's hard to explain but

is this truly liberating feeling but I still like stuff of course I like stuff

I'm a video game nerd I love playing video games I love saying all the new

comic book movies with my son I love like building Legos with my kid these

are all great joys but because my values have changed I can honestly say without

reserve that if I were to lose these things if I were to lose that stuff

it would not fuel my depression because what truly makes me happy now is the

value system that I have I found that in this day and age with all of the

advertisements and everything constantly being shoved down our throat is very

hard for us to separate our wants from our needs but good news is I plan on

making a video about that very soon and with this exercise that I teach my

clients it'll really help you get back reconnected with your values number five

sympathetic joy and overcoming the addiction to the self for lack of better

words we have become haters we get upset over other people's success how crazy is

that what are the points that they make in this book is that we walk around

acting like happiness is some sort of scarce resource something in our brain

tells us that if other people have too much happiness somehow it's going to

take away from our happiness like I want you to sit back and think about that for

a second that is a crazy way to think but it's something that so many of us

naturally do like I'm definitely guilty of it me this guy right here I used to

be the biggest hater and it was throughout my life throughout the time I

grew up like me growing up with a single dad not having that much money and all

my friends have these nice big houses and all these other things like I would

get mad that people actually have a mom and a dad who are still married I matter

what my friends got more presents than I did about these things and it progressed

into my life like when my friends were getting married and getting better jobs

and making more money I was so upset like I was mad at them I was like I

deserve that I deserve these things right like it's

crazy and it's really no way to live if we're being honest it's exhausting so

what they're talking about with sympathetic joy this is actually another

word for a mindfulness meditation called loving-kindness and I will do some

videos on it if you check out my video about self compassion that is a form of

loving-kindness meditation but because of this book I will be doing a video

about the loving-kindness meditation that they talk about in this book that

relates more to sympathetic joy like now as a result of being more connected with

others not only do I feel another person's pain when they're in pain when

they're sad or when they're down and I go and I reach out and try to help them

but I also feel joy when other people have good things happen to them when I

see my friends get promotions or raises now or they get married or they get a

brand-new car or they succeed I'm like heck yeah like

anybody who knows me well like the most excited you will see me is when I see

people in my life succeeding like I will be your biggest

cheerleader I swear to you because your happiness equals my happiness you see

what I'm saying you might not see what I'm saying but if you follow these

guidelines you'll get there I promise but the other part of this is the

addiction to the self and this is something that I've had to work on for a

long time and it's really about breaking down the ego breaking down my

selfishness and self-centeredness these are things that are kind of our default

but we can naturally work on a way to quit being so selfish and self-centered

this is one of the reasons I make my youtube channel like like I just

mentioned happiness isn't the scarce resource it is something that is

available to all of you and everybody you know so Who am I to sit back and

hold on to all the things that have helped me and not want to share them

with you I want everybody to experience what I've been able to experience number

six acknowledging and overcoming childhood trauma so for me personally I

was able to do this through my 12-step groups there are steps that are specific

to this I was able to go through the things I endured as a child but for all

of you who are not addicts or alcoholics are not in 12-step groups there are

other ways to do this some of you might find it through church some of you might

find it through other forms of support groups some of you might find it through

therapy again if you're interested in checking out online therapy I'll have a

ton of resources down below by the way but these are things that I was able to

process and work through and let go of like one of the most beneficial things

was being able to forgive my mom for being an alcoholic like she's 12 years

sober now I don't know if I'd mention that but even for the first life five

six years of her sobriety no way that's when that bad even for the first eight

or nine years of so her sobriety I had a lot of resentments towards her

this therapeutic process that I went through I was able to let go and forgive

her which was really letting myself off the hook too because the other most

beneficial thing is I was able to look back and say you know I was a child this

wasn't my fault and for a lot of us who experienced childhood trauma we carry

around this shame or guilt like we could have done something differently to

change this situation but imagine telling a kid that imagine you seeing a

kid being emotionally or physically or sexually abused and you walking up to

that child and telling them that they're in control of this situation it'd be

crazy so part of this therapeutic process is letting ourselves off the

hook and realizing that we didn't have control over the things that happened to

us when we when we were children the only thing that we do have control over

is the work that we do now in this new chapter of our life number seven

restoring the future this is probably most the most difficult one and what

Johan explains in this book it was fantastic but I don't think he had as

much optimism as I do and I'll explain that in just a second so in the book he

discusses a social economic experiment that was done in Canada in the 1970s

that greatly helped reduce depression and anxiety

I won't dive too much into the details now but I will do a later video on it

the problem with this idea of how to restore the future is that it's purely

based on many factors that are completely outside of our control it's

about govern the government spending money on mental health which a lot of us

know isn't gonna happen anytime soon so when I share my story when I share my

story of recovery with clients or other people anybody who wants to listen to it

I share about how I got sober on my 27th birthday and how I was furious

I was furious with my mom that she gave me this ultimatum to get clean or I'd be

on the streets of Las Vegas okay like the reason I share that with people is

because I want people to know even if you don't want help or even if you feel

hopeless and there's no this is gonna get better I want to be an

example that I felt that way over five and a half years ago and now I live an

amazing life so I share that because I want people to remain hopeful because

I'm living proof and the reason I found this the reason this this switch flipped

was because I met a ton of men and women who were as low as I was at some point

in their life they were hopeless they were down they were defeated they were

depressed they were suicidal there were all these things but then

they ended up living these amazing lives this was some hope that I could believe

in I realized I'm like man if that person could do it then so can i and

once I had that kind of hope in mind I knew I knew that I could attain it too

and Here I am I have so that's why I somewhat disagree with that point that

we need some kind of huge outside force to restore the future we need to start

latching on to people who have been through some stuff and now they're

living amazing lives okay because it really puts things into perspective we

often think oh well you know that's okay for you but not for me

but when we start reconnecting with other people and seeing what they've

been through and they'll work that they did to get through it we start to

actually believe that we could do it ourselves I often tell people that the

only reason the only reason I'm alive today is because of one word one simple

word and that's hope okay like hope is such a big deal for me

I literally titled it the name of my first book like it is the only reason

that I'm here today is because I found hope that the future could be better

looking at yo.hannes nine causes of depression and the seven different ways

to reconnect I think this experiment was a success I

can honestly look at everything he listed and it really shows why my life

is better today all of the things that I was able to be reconnected to the moral

of this story is that we can we can overcome depression and it's not

completely dependent on antidepressant medications now because I didn't put

this disclaimer somewhere else in here I don't want to make anybody think that

I'm against antidepressants the studies show that antidepressants do work but

they work very very minimally so what we have to do as people is start doing the

work to reconnect in all these different ways so what we've discovered is

overcoming depression takes work a community of people as well as a

willingness to change but the good news is that it is possible and I am proof of

that as well as so many others so again I've also provided a bunch of resources

down below from the link to johann hores new book lost connections there's some

online therapy there's some other information down there so make sure that

you check out the description down below so I highly recommend that you go out

there and check that out this book or at least share this video share this video

with somebody that you know and let's start seeing if we can start working

together and restoring some of these lost connections okay and I want to end

this video with one of my favorite quotes from the Buddha himself which I

butcher all the time and can never seem to find it on the Internet but here's

the quote that I wanted to share with you don't take my word for it

go out there and try it for yourself if you like this video please give it a

thumbs up and if you're new here I'm making a ton of videos to help you as

well as everybody else out with their mental health make sure you click the

little brown subscribe button over there there are some thumbnails that you can

Hey guys! Um, this is like super rushed and I'm so sorry about that

But if you haven't noticed I didn't post

Yesterday, or what would be last

Thursday. Um I just found that I was so unmotivated to do so and I figured

Why push myself to do something that I really didn't want to do?

I-I don't know why I just didn't want to do it, but I've been lazy like all week

So haven't really gone

to do anything and sorry about the whole camera thing I

Again didn't want to set the whole thing up, so I'm just-I'm using my hands. I just wanted

to kind of

Apologize?

Not really, I was just thinking

because I'm so much going on right now as to like volleyball which I have been referencing a

little bit too much and

It's just especially to edit my videos on like an iPhone

That's not even like working properly and what I have like no storage anymore

It's kind of frustrating to like

Remember to do everything. I'm not saying anything like I don't want to do like YouTube as a whole or anything

I'm just thinking about maybe pushing back

the whole

Sundays every other Thursday's, it's maybe just

Sundays until I

Have the storage and I have like the quality stuff and you'll have to edit

IMovie no one probably realized it, but it took me so long

To get my last video the one about the Seacoast Hall to get that to work

I had to get rid of my intro my outro thing

and

I had to delete so many pictures and so many apps off of my phone just to get that done

It was just so frustrating. I'm kind of like like I've been saying. I'm kind of motivated to really make anything. That's got long

Because maybe it'll end the same and I was just so frustrated on that

But I will try to get motivated again. I just like I said I have so much going on

I have a tournament coming up right now. It's break, but I will have school and

it's getting to summer so or not summer, but it's getting to spring so I'm

Gonna have more things that I can do outside rather than just sit in my room

I know this is super short, and I'm rushing this a lot

But yeah, I think I'm gonna stick to the jist Sundays for now just so I can get motivated again

And I will obviously tell you when I'm going to do the Thursday's again

With that thank you for watching

And I'll see you on Sunday

We've All Been There | Sophie - Duration: 4:59.

People with and without chronic illnesses, still have things very much in common that

we all experience.

We just experience them on different levels.

[Intro Music]

Well hello everyone and welcome back to my channel,

or if you are new, hello welcome to my channel, my name is Sophie.

So today we are going to chat about something that I thought was pretty obvious

and just human knowledge from experience… but apparently not so much.

And I recently experienced something and I have experienced it many times before,

and I know other people have, where they are 'fine' one day to do something

and not fine the next day where they can't do something

Now, let me let you into a little secret,

that's the way the human body works.

So when you have a chronic illness, you're even more prone to being fine one

minute and by fine I mean like, I can somewhat deal with life right now,

and not so fine the next day, the next hour,

the next minute, milli second,

is there something less than milli second because I mean, like,

my body can change like that *clicks fingers*.

And I know that this is one way that people who have chronic illnesses

will lose friends, or get told off at school,

or get told of at work or managers getting mad at them.

One day you can be absolutely fine doing something, and the following day you are not so fine

be it to do the same thing or something different.

So a friend sees you out one day and then the next day you cancel on them,

and they're like well you were out with them yesterday so why can't you now with

me?

And it is not personal, it's just that everyday when we wake up,

our body…. is very different.

Like, when I wake up, my first thought is very different to your

first thought.

My first thought will be,, Okay, how's my body gonna treat me today.

Where as someone with a, without a chronic illness,

will probably more along the lines of, okay, let's check social media.

Someone said to me, 'well you were fine yesterday',

and it kind of aggravated me a bit.

What does fine mean?

Because my fine, to your fine,

again, is very different.

You're fine is yeah, i'm feeling great today,

nothing hurts, i'm not feeling ill.

Whereas, my fine day is,

oo, I don't feel sick today, oo, my pain levels aren't as bad as normal,

oo, my joints don't feel as bad and they're not clicking as much,

or the pain isn't as sharp going down my arm.

oo, my lightheadedness isn't that bad that I can actually tolerate it and get out of

bed today.

Maybe it's just, not even ignorance,

just lack of knowledge and education on chronic illness because

obviously in my situation is was to do with chronic illness.

Everyday is very different, and actually every minute within a day is

very different.

I can wake up feeling ok, and then an hour later I could pass out.

or be in excru... excruciating pain.

I can't even say that word today.

So I thought I would share it in this video because,

I like to raise awareness for these things and because I think it's important

that people realise that, actually people with and without chronic illnesses

still have things very much in common that we all experience,

we just experience on different levels and different amounts of times.

Also if you don't have a chronic illness, When you wake up,

just take a moment to be extremely grateful that you are feeling fine.

And even if you have a chronic illness, take a moment to appreciate your day.

Even if it's what you would class as a bad day,

it still might be someone else's good day.

So, that's how I get up in the morning.. even though I definitely have to set my alarm

about an hour before I need to get up.

Sometimes it is just a case of when we aren't told these things and we don't experience

it, we just don't realise and we say stuff that

unintentionally irritates someone.

And so if you agree with this video or you realise something,

or learnt something, or completely relate to it,

be sure to give this video a massive thumbs up.

And comment below any experiences of this type of thing you've had or that you now

realise you have put someone in.

Let's just make people realise that they are not alone.

And if you're not already, I would absolutely love if you could subscribe.

We are soo close to 500 now which is crazy but so cool.

So thank you thank you

thank you so much for all your support.

And I will leave all of my social media links in the description box below,

so come say hi.

And Until next time Keep Watching

Stay Strong And

Stay Safe Bye Guys

primary vs secondary references - Duration: 7:25.

Video to explain the differences between primary and secondary references,

to explain when you would typically use a secondary reference,

and to talk about the differences in how you would cite a primary versus a secondary reference.

The first piece to understand is that a primary reference is when you use when

you've actually read the original research.

So for example, if in your research paper you want to cite Phillips and Pexman 2015,

and you actually read this journal article, then that would be a primary reference. If instead you

wanted to cite, or talk about, the research found by Murphy 2003

that, without actually reading Murphy 2003. You want to go based on whatever Phillips

and Pexman have spoken about Murphy 2003. Then that would be a secondary reference.

You haven't actually read the original. You've read in interpretation, a

report, by somebody other than the authors and in a form other than the

original publication. It's an interpretation by somebody else, and you

need to use secondary sources with caution because you rely on somebody

else properly interpreting the information from the original article.

The APA suggests that we use secondary sources sparingly. Within the context of

this class, you, it is acceptable for you to use secondary references. I don't

require that you have a reference list of 20 or 30 papers. In fact I suggest

against it. But when you would typically see a secondary reference in an academic

application might be if the original article is out

of print, or the original book is out of print, if the original is unavailable via

the usual sources or mechanisms that you can access information, or if the

original is not in a language that you can read. So for example if the original

weren't, we're not, in English then you might read a translation or you might

read Phillips and Pexman and hope that Phillips and Pexman interpreted and

reported the research correctly. In terms of an in-text citation what you would do

you, if you are citing Phillips and Pexman you would have your text here and

then you would go Phillips and Pexman 2015. And that would be how you

would in text cite a primary reference. If instead you are looking at citing a

secondary reference from Phillips and Pexman you would have your text here,

then Murphy 2003 as cited in Phillips and Pexman 2015, and then you would

continue your sentence. What that indicates to your reader is that you

have not read the original research; that you are reporting on a secondary

reference. In your reference list you include all of your primary references

and you do not include your secondary references. So if you were to cite

Phillips and Pexman as a primary reference, you would have Phillips C. I. and Pexman, P. M.

then the year, then you would have the title, then you would have the journal

title, italicized journal of speech, language, and hearing research comma then volume number 58

next comma is actually not italicized. fussy I know but APA has these details.

Your page numbers and a DOI. The DOI in this paper is right here.

And then to finalize this it's actually a hanging indent. So this is the

reference that you would include in your your reference list at the end of your

paper. If you cited Murphy 2003 in text, but it's a secondary reference, you would

just include Phillips and Pexman 2015. And you would include Phillips and

Pexman 2015 even if you don't actually ever reference them in any other

location. You're telling your reader where to find the information that

you're using. In the case of Murphy 2003, you're telling your reader that they

need to go to the Phillips and Pexman paper. So I hope that gives you a bit of

a sense of the difference between primary and secondary references, when

you should use them, and how they should be cited.

Verification: in case it wasn't completely clear - you include your primary or secondary references in your

reference list. But when you're including your secondary reference in your

reference list you would not include Murphy 2003 you would include Phillips

and Pexman 2015 in your reference list. So if you didn't actually read

Murphy 2003, then Murphy 2003 doesn't show up in your reference list. If you

read about Murphy 2003 in Phillips and Pexman 2015 then Phillips and Pexman

2015 goes in your reference list.

為甚麼你拿不到7分:口試最容易被忽略的得分點(中文字幕)Why you can't get 7: most commonly neglected mistake - Duration: 5:22.

Halo, 大家好 ! Grant Richardson here.

Before I start my next video, I'd just like to remind you that

if you find these videos useful, please click the like button

or share it with friends or subscribe or comment

because if you do this, then it will help my videos

be found by more people who need them.

Okay, on to this video.

When preparing for the IELTS speaking test, most candidates

tend to focus on two of the four criteria--Lexical resource (which is "vocabulary")

and Grammatical range and accuracy (or "grammar").

They tend to neglect the other two criteria of the band descriptors,

which are Fluency and coherence, and Pronunciation.

I've already made a video on Pronunciation for Cantonese speakers of English,

so in this video, I'm going to focus on a common fluency mistake.

Before I tell you what the fluency problem is,

I'll demonstrate it and let you guess what it is.

Oh, ah during the ah rush hour, um, maybe 9 to 10 AM... er

there is... a lot of... traffic congestion... near my place.

Was it obvious?

Of course, the candidate was over-using filler words like um, er and ah,

and there was some unnecessary pausing in the middle of the sentence.

These filler words like ah, er and um, and unnecessary pausing

between words in a sentence indicate that the candidate

is having trouble thinking of HOW to say something not WHAT to say,

and they're called "language-related hesitations" (as opposed to

content-related hesitations).

These language-related hesitations affect your score

because they distract the listener from focusing on what you're trying to say.

If you have a look at the band descriptors, you'll see that for a band 7,

they sometimes use language-related hesitations,

a band 6 uses more, and these affect coherence,

and a band 5 will rely on them, or they will rely on hesitations as well as

alternative techniques such as repetition or self-correction to keep going.

Now, I don't mean to say that you should never hesitate

because content-related hesitations will not affect your score,

and there's no limitations as to how many times you can hesitate while

you're thinking of WHAT to say rather than HOW to say something.

Looking again at the band descriptors, you'll see that ALL bands

(including the highest band score of 9) have no limitations on the number of

content-related hesitations. You'll also see that for a band 9,

even though they're not allowed to make any language-related hesitations

(that means they're not allowed to say ah or um when they're thinking of a word),

they are very rarely allowed to make self-corrections or repetitions.

I mean everybody will do that in the native language at some point.

So, that would suggest that language-related hesitations are by far

the most important mistakes to avoid regarding fluency.

Now, one technique that can help you avoid any language-related hesitations

is chunking. And you might notice how I speak: I use pausing in between words

inside a sentence. So, I pick a place in the sentence that is an appropriate

place to put a pause so that you can process that piece of information

before I give you the next part of the sentence. So, this is called 'chunking',

and it's actually necessary to score 6 or more in Pronunciation.

So, make sure you practice everyday

to use as few language-related hesitations as possible,

and remember to use chunking to make your language sound more smooth and ever-free

and easy for the listener to process (which will improve your pronunciation score

and also let you get a high a grammar score and vocabulary score by avoiding mistakes).

And, also, remember that you can hesitate (you can say um..., well..., er..)

before you start speaking while you think of WHAT to say and not HOW to say it.

HE IS WORTHY!

HE IS WORTHY!

"THE LORD DOES NOT CHANGE."

THE LORD DOES NOT CHANGE.

PEOPLE CHANGE, CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE,

BUT THE LORD DOES NOT CHANGE.

HOW WONDERFUL AND GREAT THIS IS.

MALACHI, CHAPTER 3, VERSE 6,

"FOR I AM THE LORD, I CHANGE NOT."

"FOR I AM THE LORD, I CHANGE NOT."

HEBREWS, 13:8,

"JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY,

TO DAY, AND FOR EVER."

HE DOES NOT CHANGE.

JAMES 1, CHAPTER 1, VERSE 17,

"EVERY GOOD GIFT AND EVERY PERFECT GIFT IS FROM ABOVE,

AND COMETH DOWN FROM THE FATHER OF LIGHTS,

WITH WHOM IS NO VARIABLENESS,

NEITHER SHADOW OF TURNING."

NOT WHATSOEVER.

THE GODHEAD DOES NOT CHANGE.

THIS WORLD AND THE PEOPLE IN IT ARE CONSTANTLY CHANGING,

NOTHING STAYS THE SAME VERY LONG.

PEOPLE SAY ONE THING, BUT THEN THEY DO ANOTHER.

THEY MAKE A PROMISE, AND THEN BREAK THAT PROMISE.

SO, FOR MANY, IT'S- IS HARD TO IMAGINE

THAT THE LORD NEVER CHANGES,

BUT IMAGINATIONS MUST BE CAST DOWN.

SECOND CORINTHIANS, 10TH CHAPTER, VERSE 5,

"CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS..."

NOW IMAGINATIONS, IF THEY'RE GOOD IMAGINATIONS,

CAN HELP YOU.

"AND EVERY HIGH THING THAT EXALTETH ITSELF

AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD..."

CAST IT ALL DOWN.

YOU DON'T LISTEN TO THE DEVIL.

YOU DON'T LISTEN TO HIM.

SOME OF YOU, YOU GET IN BIG TROUBLE

LETTING HIM TALK TO YOU.

SOME OF YOU DON'T REALIZE WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

"AND BRINGING INTO CAPTIVITY EVERY THOUGHT

TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST."

EVERY THOUGHT.

YOUR THOUGHT LIFE MEANS SO MUCH.

AND I'LL BE GLAD WHEN I GET THE TWO MANUSCRIPTS

THAT'S FINISHED, I GET 'EM PUBLISHED;

THEY'LL MEANS SO MUCH TO YOU.

"A THOUGHT." A THOUGHT.

IT'S SOMETHING WHAT'S IN-

WILL BE IN THOSE TWO BOOKS.

WE CANNOT COMPARE GOD TO MAN,

HE IS NOT A MAN THAT HE SHOULD LIE OR CHANGE.

NUMBERS 23:19,

"GOD IS NOT A MAN, THAT HE SHOULD LIE;

NEITHER THE SON OF MAN, THAT HE SHOULD REPENT..."

THINK ABOUT THIS.

YOU KNOW, THAT HIT ME SO HARD THE FIRST TIME I-

WHEN HE SAID, 'GOD CANNOT LIE.'

I KNEW HE COULDN'T,

BUT TO EVEN THINK ABOUT SUCH A THING REALLY STUNNED ME!

IT HAD SUCH AN EFFECT ON ME, BUT IT'S BIBLICAL.

GOD WANTS YOU TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT HIM,

ABOUT THE WHOLE GODHEAD.

THAT BIBLE IS RIGHT, ISN'T IT?

[APPLAUSE] GIVE HIM A BIG PRAISE!

"NEITHER THE SON OF MAN, THAT HE SHOULD REPENT:

IN THIS WORLD THERE ARE PLENTY OF LIARS.

AND THE TRAIT OF A LIAR IS CHANGE;

THEY'RE ALWAYS CHANGING UP ON YOU,

BUT BECAUSE GOD DOES NOT CHANGE,

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM TO LIE, IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM TO LIE.

HE MAKES GOOD ON ALL OF HIS PROMISES,

BUT WE HAVE TO TRUST HIM.

REMEMBER THIS NOW: WE HAVE TO TRUST HIM.

HE MAKES GOOD: HE MAKES A PROMISE, HE KEEPS IT;

BUT EVERY PROMISE THERE'S A CONDITION

THAT YOU HAVE TO MEET,

AND MEET THE PROMISES THAT YOU NEED.

SOMEBODY SAID THERE'S OVER 37,000 PROMISES

IN THE BIBLE.

I DON'T KNOW, BUT I KNOW THERE'S PROMISES

WE SHOULD BE GLAD THAT HE NEVER CHANGES.

THINK ON THAT.

WE SHOULD BE GLAD THAT WE HAVE SUCH SURE

AND STEADFAST FOUNDATIONS IN HIM.

WE SHOULD BE GLAD THAT WE HAVE THAT

STEADFAST FOUNDATION IN HIM- STEADFAST, UNMOVABLE.

YOU SEE A MAN WITH HIS LITTLE BOY,

HE'S CLINGING TO DADDY'S HAND;

AND THAT'S THE WAY WE SHOULD BE WITH THE LORD,

THAT BIG HAND.

HE HOLDS OUR HAND

WHO LOVES US WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE,

WHO KEEPS US.

ISN'T IT WONDERFUL THAT HE DOES NOT CHANGE?

ISAIAH THE PROPHET WROTE IN CHAPTER 42, VERSES 5-8,

AND STRETCHED THEM OUT;

HE THAT SPREAD FORTH THE EARTH,

HE THAT GIVETH BREATH UNTO THE PEOPLE UPON IT,

AND THE SPIRIT FOR THEM THAT WALK THEREIN:

"AND HOLD THINE HAND, AND WILL KEEP THEE,

AND GIVE THEE FOR A COVENANT OF THE PEOPLE,

FOR A LIGHT OF THE GENTILES..."

I NEVER WAS TEMPTED TO TAKE ANY OF HIS GLORY.

AND I HAVE THE PEOPLE PRAISING GOD

FOR THE MIRACLES AS THEY'RE TAKING PLACE:

I DO IT HERE; I DO IT IN ALL OF MY SERVICES.

I WANT THEM TO KNOW WHERE IT'S COMING FROM.

I HAVE THEM TO REPEAT.

"WHO DID THIS?

WHO DID THIS?"

IT'S WONDERFUL!

"NEITHER MY PRAISE TO GRAVEN IMAGES."

TO FALSE RELIGIONS.

ISAIAH THE PROPHET WROTE, CHAPTER 43, VERSE 11,

"I, EVEN I, AM THE LORD;

AND BESIDE ME THERE IS NO SAVIOUR."

THESE OTHER RELIGIONS ARE FALSE.

AND ONE EVANGELIST WAS ON A TALK SHOW

AND HE SAID THAT THERE WERE PEOPLE SAVED IN ALL RELIGIONS.

THEY- HE GOT SUCH A- SO MUCH MAIL FROM GOD'S PEOPLE

UNTIL HE HAD TO GET ON TELEVISION AND APOLOGIZE.

BUT HE WAS LIKE THAT, CHARGING PEOPLE

$30-$35 TO GET IN TO HEAR HIM LECTURE,

TRAVELING AROUND TO MAKE MONEY, TO MAKE MONEY.

IT'S AWFUL WHAT PEOPLE WILL DO

IN THE NAME OF THE LORD,

AND PEOPLE'S JUST CRAZY ENOUGH

TO GO FOR STUFF LIKE THAT!

I WAS TAUGHT BETTER THAN THAT, WEREN'T YOU?

I WAS RAISED BETTER THAN THAT!

MY MOTHER AND DAD, THEY COULD TRUST US

BECAUSE WE HAD A REAL FOUNDATION:

WE KNEW ABOUT JESUS, WE KNEW ABOUT GOD,

AND WE KNEW YOU COULDN'T COMMIT SIN AT ALL

AND GO TO HEAVEN.

ALTHOUGH AS I'VE TOLD YOU, MY DAD WAS A DEACON

IN THAT BIG THING, BIG ORGANIZATION,

SO BIG IN THE SOUTH, NOT TOO SMALL UP HERE.

BUT ANYWAY, WE KNEW, THEY KNEW.

JEREMIAH, CHAPTER 3, VERSE- OR CHAPTER 31 AND VERSE 3,

"THE LORD HATH APPEARED OF OLD UNTO ME, SAYING,

YEA, I HAVE LOVED THEE WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE..."

IT NEVER ENDS.

GOD DOESN'T CHANGE.

"THEREFORE WITH LOVINGKINDNESS HAVE I DRAWN THEE."

HE DID IT WITH LOVE AND KINDNESS.

DID IT WITH LOVINGKINDNESS.

JEREMIAH, 32, VERSE 27,

"BEHOLD, I AM THE LORD, THE GOD OF ALL FLESH:

IS THERE ANY THING TOO HARD FOR ME?"

I DON'T REMEMBER HOW MANY YEARS AGO

I MEMORIZED THIS VERSE, I LOVED IT SO MUCH.

LUKE, THE 15TH CHAPTER, VERSES 11-23,

"AND HE SAID, A CERTAIN MAN HAD TWO SONS:

AND THE YOUNGER OF THEM SAID TO HIS FATHER,

FATHER, GIVE ME THE PORTION OF GOODS THAT FALLETH TO ME.

AND HE DIVIDED UNTO THEM HIS LIVING.

AND NOT MANY DAYS AFTER THE YOUNGER

SON GATHERED ALL TOGETHER,

AND TOOK HIS JOURNEY INTO A FAR COUNTRY,

AND THERE WASTED HIS SUBSTANCE WITH RIOTOUS LIVING.

WHEN HE HAD SPENT ALL,

THERE AROSE A MIGHTY FAMINE IN THE LAND;

AND HE BEGAN TO BE IN WANT.

AND HE WENT AND JOINED HIMSELF

TO A CITIZEN OF THAT COUNTRY;

AND HE SENT HIM TO THE FIELDS TO FEED SWINE.

AND HE WOULD FAIN HAVE FILLED HIS BELLY

WITH THE HUSKS THAT THE SWINE DID EAT:

AND NO MAN GAVE UNTO HIM.

AND WHEN HE CAME TO HIMSELF, HE SAID,

HOW MANY HIRED SERVANTS OF MY- MY FATHER'S HOUSE

HAVE BREAD ENOUGH AND TO SPARE,

AND I PERISH WITH HUNGER!

I WILL ARISE..."

HE WON WHEN HE DECIDED, "I WILL ARISE

AND GO TO MY FATHER,

AND I WILL SAY UNTO HIM, FATHER,

I HAVE SINNED AGAINST HEAVEN,

AND BEFORE THEE,

AND I AM NO MORE WORTHY TO BE CALLED THY SON:

MAKE ME AS ONE OF THY HIRED SERVANTS.

AND HE AROSE, AND CAME TO HIS FATHER.

BUT WHEN HE WAS YET A GREAT WAY OFF,

THE FATHER SAW HIM, AND HAD COMPASSION,

AND RAN, AND FELL ON HIS NECK, AND KISSED HIM.

AND THE SON SAID UNTO HIM, FATHER, I HAVE SINNED

AGAINST HEAVEN, AND IN THY SIGHT,

AND I AM NO MORE WORTHY TO BE CALLED THY SON.

BUT THE FATHER SAID TO HIS SERVANTS,

BRING FORTH THE BEST ROBE, AND PUT IT ON HIM;

AND PUT A RING ON HIS HAND, AND SHOES ON HIS FEET:

AND BRING HITHER THE FATTED CALF, AND KILL IT;"

AND LET US MAKE MERRY.

AND THAT WAS THE STORY OF IT.

BUT HE HAD A BROTHER

AND HE WENT INTO A POUTING FIT

WHEN HE HEARD ABOUT IT, THAT HE'D COME BACK.

HE RESENTED IT.

AND HE WENT TO HIS FATHER AND HE SAID,

"FATHER, I'VE BEEN WITH YOU ALL THESE YEARS,

AND YOU NEVER GAVE ME A FATTED CALF."

"WHY," HE SAID, "SON, YOU CAN HAVE A FATTED CALF

ANYTIME THAT YOU WANT ONE!"

THAT OUGHT OF SURELY OPENED HIS EYES.

PEOPLE GET SO JEALOUS

WHEN THERE'S NOTHING TO BE JEALOUS ABOUT!

FORGIVE ME, LORD,

I HAVE COME HOME TO SERVE YOU THE REST OF MY LIFE.

AND I BELIEVE

THERE IS POWER IN THE DIVINE BLOOD OF JESUS

THAT WASHES AWAY ALL OF MY SINS."

"LORD, IN THE NAME OF JESUS,

I BRING THOSE THAT ARE SICK AND AFFLICTED,

THOSE WITH A GREAT BONDAGE IN THEIR LIFE

THEY CAN'T SEEM TO BE FREE OF;

LORD, THROUGH THE BLOOD SET THEM FREE.

LAY A HEALING HAND UPON EACH ONE.

IN THE HOLY BLOOD-NAME OF JESUS, HEAL!

HEAL!

HEAL!

LORD, LET YOUR BLOOD POWER FLOW TO EACH ONE NOW.

MAKE EVERYONE WHOLE.

SET THEM FREE FOR YOUR HONOR AND GLORY.

Foodora Deliveries in -10°C | AppJobs.com - Duration: 1:47.

What I like most of Foodora.

I think there is a lot of things with this job.

You feel like you are riding a bike, it's good because you get paid for it.

And you get to a lot of places, beautiful places.

So sometimes you get to see some hidden spots in Gamla Stan or a delivery in the beautiful

Djurgården

And see places where you normally wouldn't go.

It was a lot of snow today, so it was a little bit slippery so you cannot rush away with

the orders.

In this weather condition I think the most important thing is gloves, warm gloves.

And keep your feet warm too.

Winter tires will ofcourse be good, but don't ride too fast because it is very slippery.

Foodora is very flexible, so you can apply for shifts when you want to.

Sometimes you can log in on the shift planner and see if there are any empty shifts the

same day and apply for those.

The perfect condition to work or like a dream shift with Foodora, will be.

The sun is shining, it's like 25 degrees.

And yeah you can use less clothes.

And also like when the deliver range of the restaurants is a little bit shorter so you

can get more intense with the orders.

That would be the dream day I think.
