Do you sometimes get iPhone photos that are out of focus?

If so, you're definitely not alone.

While the autofocus of the iPhone usually works fine,

there are also times when it doesn't work

and that's when you end up with blurry photos

that you can't possibly use

but it really doesn't have to be that way.

My name is Emil Pakarklis.

I'm the founder of iPhone Photography School

and in this short video I'll reveal three secret

iPhone camera features for getting perfect focus.

Once you start using these three secret features,

your iPhone photos will always turn out tack sharp.

Now, if you can't hear me, please tap on this video

to turn on the sound and then we can get started.

One of the most common reasons iPhone photos

end up blurry is because the focus is not set correctly.

So, how do you set focus on the iPhone?

Actually it's really simple. Let me show you how to do it.

So, when you first open the Camera app of the iPhone,

you'll see that the iPhone has already picked somewhat

of an average focus for this photo

and we have these beautiful flowers in the foreground

as well as the street buildings in the background

but neither of them is really in focus.

because the iPhone has tried to make sure that as many

parts of the photo as possible are in focus and as a result,

nothing is really in focus. So, in order to fix that,

all you have to do is use your finger

and tap it on the screen where you want the focus to be.

So, right now I'm going to tap on this flower

So, right now I'm going to tap on this flower in the foreground and you'll see this yellow box appear

in the foreground and you'll see this yellow box appear

and that means that the focus is now set

on the flowers in the foreground.

Now, if I want to set the focus on the buildings

in the background instead, all I have to do is tap my

finger on these buildings in the background

finger on these buildings in the background

and you'll see that now these buildings are in focus

but the flowers in the foreground

are no longer sharp.

Now, when I set the focus here on these buildings

in the background, the image also became a little bit darker

and that's because when you're setting focus,

you're also adjusting how dark or how bright

the photo is going to be,

so if that's a problem, it's really easy to fix

and all you have to do is simply swipe your finger

up or down the screen like this

and you can make the photo darker or brighter

if you need to do that.

So, now that I'm happy with both focus and exposure,

I'm gonna go ahead and take another photo

and if we compare these two photos side by side,

you'll see that in the first photo,

the flowers in the foreground are nice and sharp,

but the buildings in the background are out of focus

while in the second photo, the buildings in the background

are in focus but the flowers in foreground

are no longer sharp,

so the bottom line is this, if you want to make sure

that your iPhone photos turn out great,

you should always set the focus yourself.

Otherwise you're leaving your photos up to chance.

Sometimes they'll work out and other times they won't

but you will not get consistent results.

Now, the technique I just shared with you

works really great but there's one problem.

Every time you take a shot or every time

something changes in the scene, the iPhone will

automatically reset back to auto focus and whatever

changes you have made to focus and exposure

will simply disappear.

Now, obviously it's a problem especially if you want to

take several photos where the focus is the same

but luckily there's a very easy way to fix that

and that is by locking the focus.

So, let me show you how to do that.

So, in order to lock the focus, all you have to do is simply

tap and hold your finger

where you want the focus to be set.

So, I want to set the focus on this wall in the background,

so I'm gonna simply tap and hold my finger there

for a couple of seconds until the letters AE/AF Lock appear

at the top of the screen

and that tells me that both focus and exposure

are now locked and no matter how many photos I take,

and no matter what kind of changes happen in the scene,

I can be confident that the focus will remain unchanged

until I switch it back off.

Now, this technique is particularly useful

when you're expecting a great photo opportunity

and you'll want to be prepared in advance.

For example, I'm sitting on the side

of this little beautiful street

and I know that eventually some people will walk past me

and when that happens, I want to be ready to take the photo

and because of that, I'm locking the focus in advance

and I'm gonna already frame the shot

and I'll shoot it through this beautiful green grass

in the foreground so that my subjects

will be partially obscured, so now I simply have to sit here

and wait until someone walks past me.

Okay, so now I think the moment is right,

so I'm gonna take several photos

and you can see that no matter how many photos I take,

the focus remains locked and the beautiful green grass

in the foreground is still blurred out

and these are the kind of photos I can only take

by locking the focus of my iPhone.

Next I'd like to share with you an advanced technique

for setting focus accurately in your iPhone photos

and this technique is particularly useful

when your subjects are small or they're far away

and you want to be absolutely sure

you've set the focus the right way.

So, if we look at the scene,

you'll see that my wife and my daughter

are standing here on this beautiful street

and I'd like to set focus on them

to make sure that their faces are perfectly sharp

but if I simply tap my finger on them,

I cannot be absolutely sure where the focus goes.

Maybe the iPhone does a good job

and the focus goes on the subjects

or perhaps the focus is instead set somewhere

into the distant background and I don't want that.

So, in order to accurately set focus on my subjects,

what I can do is use two fingers

to zoom in and to get really close to my subjects like so

and then I can tap and hold my finger right on the face

of my subject like so until the letters AE/AF Lock appear

and now I've locked the focus on my subject

but I'm not gonna take a photo while I'm zoomed in like this

because this photo wouldn't be of high quality.

The iPhone uses digital zoom when you zoom in too much

and what happens is that you lose photo quality

if you take zoomed in shots like this.

So, instead I'm gonna use two fingers again,

So, instead I'm gonna use two fingers again,

this time to zoom out

and I'm gonna zoom all the way out

but you'll see that the letters AE/AF Lock are still there

which means that the focus is still set

on the face of my subject and if I now take some photos,

you'll see that my subjects are still perfectly sharp

and I'm confident that their faces will be in focus

even though they're far away

and this is how you can accurately set focus

when your subjects are far away

and when it's really important that they are perfectly sharp.

Now, as you can see from the techniques I just shared,

the iPhone camera looks really simple on the surface

but when you start digging deeper,

it's really not that simple.

There are so many hidden camera features

and camera settings that you probably don't know about

and I could only share a handful of them

in a short video like this

and to make things worse, it's not enough to simply learn

about all the different iPhone camera features.

You also have to understand how to use each one of them

in different photography scenarios.

We're talking about different light conditions,

different photography subjects

and even different genres and styles of photography

but here's the good news,

once you really understand iPhone photography,

you'll be able to take the kind of photos

that nobody would even believe

were taken with the iPhone

and that's why I created iPhone Photo Academy

which is an online course teaching you everything

there is to know about iPhone photography.

So, right next to this video, you'll find more information

about my full iPhone Photo Academy course.

If you'd like to use your iPhone to take stunning photos

that you'll be proud to look at many years later,

and if you'd like to do it without having

to carry your bulky camera, then please take a look

at my full iPhone Photo Academy course.

There's more information right next to this video.

So, take a look and I really hope to see you there.

How to nose stall - Duration: 1:28.

Hi guys Barns here and today we are going to learn how to do a nose stall.

This trick is really similar to the tail stall,

but this time you will stall on the nose.

So the foot position for this trick is your front foot on the nose

and your back foot is over the bolts.

As you go up the ramp

just enough speed to reach the coping

shift your weight to your front foot..

extend your front leg...

and the same time bend your back leg..

this will help you to get the perfect balance.

Keep your upper body leaning into the ramp at all time..

so you can drop back quickly.

The most important for this trick is the timing..

this will come as a trial and error

because every ramp is different..

so the problems you might have

if you go too fast

you will end up on the top of the deck

and if you are too slow you will miss the coping.

So that's about it..

we learned how to do a nose stall.

Thank you guys for watching..

stay tuned for the next trick on Thursday

and if you like subscribe...

but the most important is to go out and try to trick yourself.

Go skate and have fun.

Gun Mechanics: Overlooked Controls & Tactics - Red Dead Redemption 2 - Gun Guide - Duration: 4:46.

Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Andrew and welcome to a gun guide for Red Dead Redemption 2. In this guide

I'm gonna be quickly showing you some of the gun mechanics. In most shooter games

the mechanics are generally the same. You pretty much just aim and

Pull the trigger to shoot. It's not all that different in Red Dead Redemption 2, but there are some minor differences. Now

I'm going to assume that you know

The basic controls. What we're going to do is quickly look at the overlooked controls and tactics

Now first thing you want to note is that tapping R2 will actually un-holster your weapon

Faster than using L1

If your unarmed, it will automatically select your sidearm by default

This tactic is also pretty useful if you want to shoot and fire behind you right away

With the gun un-holstered pressing lightly on R2 will actually allow you to aim from the hip

not entirely too useful, but it works if you want to try and maybe aim a little bit better and

Feather the hammer. Now with the gun holstered lightly pressing on R2 will actually initiate a draw

Anywhere, literally anywhere that will allow you to use a gun

This is pretty handy if you want to go straight into Dead eye without having to

Worry about being killed by whoever's trying to attack you in situations where you're being ambushed or situations where you're being held up

Now while aiming your gun pressing the camera button will instantly switch between first-person and third-person

Pressing left on the d-pad will switch shoulders

pressing up on the d-pad allows you to fire a warning shot in the air and

Pressing Square will allow you to dodge

It also allows you to get dirty

If you're using a scoped weapon

While aiming pressing down on the d-pad will actually allow you to scope in. If you're using a non scoped weapon

While you're in first-person mode

pressing down on the d-pad

Allows you to use the iron sight. Pressing R3 while you're in first-person mode without aiming allows you to do an instant

360°. While you're in third-person mode and you have your primary side arm equipped double tapping L1 will

Pull off a little trick that you can do to holster it. Now for the sake of this video

We're going to assume that there are only two important firing mechanisms

You might notice in some situations where you're hiding behind cover. There's bullets flying everywhere

It's absolute chaos

*Sombre & dark music starts playing*

*Gunfire, gunfire everywhere*

*Lady starts humming or some shit*

It's like every single enemy is just firing

directly at you despite the fact that there might be other people to shoot at. You go to fire a shot and

that works perfectly fine, but then you go to pull the trigger a second time and

No bullet comes out now. You're kind of a sitting duck. The first couple of times this happened to me

I actually thought that it was a bug or a glitch but this is because there are manual hammers and

Automatic hammers. What that means is you press the right trigger to fire once

Again to cock the hammer and then again to fire

This method is probably safer against things that don't shoot back like these trees a safer tactic is to aim

Fire go back into cover then aim again

the reason why is because Arthur will

Automatically cock the hammer when you go to aim. With an automatic hammer, like the double action revolver here. You can fire at your heart's content

One thing to note is that guns that use a manual

mechanism are usually more accurate than guns that don't. Also don't be quick to judge a

Firearm too early because the more you use a gun the more Arthur improves with that weapon

That's him firing with a cattle man revolver after probably

About 20 hours or more using that particular gun, and that's it. That's all you really need to know

Now you can go and use what you have learnt to shoot some dangerous trees like this one here

Look at him. Look at him sneaking up behind me. I can see him

You see him looking at me. You see him see him. We're gonna get him we're gonna oh,

You see that he didn't see that coming

Yeah

that's one tree that

Went ahead and made my day. If you enjoyed the video leave a comment down below, I'd really appreciate that

Gun Maintenance & Gun Customisation - Red Dead Redemption 2 - Gun Guide - Duration: 3:05.

Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Andrew and welcome to a gun guide for Red Dead Redemption 2. In this guide

I'm gonna be showing you how to maintain your guns condition and where to find the option to customise your gun

Now if we hold L1 to bring up the weapon wheel, you're gonna notice that there's quite a few stats on your gun,

And these are pretty self-explanatory, you'll notice that portions of the bars will be filled in white, this indicates the weapons

effectiveness, when a guns condition degrades

It becomes more difficult to use, this means that it will reduce the damage

It will increase the load times and it will decrease the fire rate

How often you use the gun and the environments that you use the gun in, will affect the guns condition

so using it in water or using it in mud will probably

Decrease its condition quicker and the stat we're looking for is the condition stat at the very bottom now

I've just selected the carbine repeater here and you can see that it's actually very low, so in order to fix this all you have

To do is go to your local gunsmith and select the customise option

Here you're gonna see a list of all the guns you own and the guns that you've got equipped are marked with the holster

Icon. In this section here, you can actually customise the performance of your guns as well as their appearance

Also note that when you're highlighting your secondary

Sidearms, you can just switch them by pressing left or right on the d-pad

Now if you select a gun, in this case

We'll select the carbine repeater because it's the one that has the lowest condition. You'll have a "clean weapon option"

You actually can't customise your gun until it's clean. Apparently the gunsmiths have standards. Now

The customisation is pretty easy to figure out from here. So I'm not really gonna explain it all that much

So once you clean the weapon, that's it

You should notice now that the condition of the weapon is a lot higher

It's at its maximum and some of the stats are just a tiny bit increased

Now you can also maintain your gun while exploring

Firstly you're going to make sure that you have gun oil, you can actually purchase some of this from the gunsmith or you can loot

It while you're doing whatever the hell you're doing while exploring just come over here into this guy's backyard. He's a gunsmith

He shouldn't mind now if we hold the weapon wheel and go to one of our weapons with them highlighted

We're going to press R3

And this will actually allow you to examine your weapon in close detail or clean it

It's pretty cool because you can actually turn your gun around you can even get a better look at it

It's a nifty little feature to play with if you just want to I don't know if you want to

Look at the better details of your gun. Now what we're going to do is we're going to press square to clean it and

You can hold square. So it speeds up the process as well and

That will automatically use any gun oil that you have in your inventory

There we go. Squeaky clean. That's it. That's all you need to know about maintaining your gun and where to find

Customisation if you enjoyed the video, let me know in the comments down below

Really appreciate it. Don't forget to subscribe and visit the channel for more videos

I'd like to thank you guys for watching and as usual ladies and gentlemen, I will see you in the next video
