Dropshipping secrets: How to define your TARGET AUDIENCE? - Duration: 7:57.

Are you a budding dropshipping business owner who wants to run your campaigns

in Facebook Ads Manager?

Do you know the best way to define your perfect target audience?

Let me show you our methods!

A proper choice of the target audience will help you not to waste a dime on ads.

Hi! My name is Anna.

I'm glad to welcome you to our Dropship Club channel.

I hope you've already registered on our dropship.club website because there, you will

find a step-by-step guide on how to build and promote your dropshipping business.

Right now, we will show you our strategy of defining the audience and setting the targeting

for your campaigns on Facebook.

Ad targeting options on Facebook allow you to build audiences that are likely to be interested

in what you sell.

Whether your drop shipping niche is big or small, you'll find targeting options that

match your preferable goals.

There's a lot to cover, so let's get started!

First of all, we should analyze your current audience.

What do we usually use to analyze our current audience?

With the help of Google Analytics, we determine what types of traffic we're attracting to

our website.

You can see the breakdowns of demographics, interests, geographic locations, behavior,

devices, and so on.

Plus, you learn about the conversion rate.

If you have active business pages on Facebook and Instagram, you will be able to distinguish

your followers' location, age, and gender,

as well as the most active time of these platforms'use.

We also look through our customers' lists in the dashboard, to find out which countries

are better to target in the context of a conversion rate and an average net profit.

That was the theory, now I want to show these tools on practice!

When you start creating your ad group, you should put the audience settings.

The first part of them are locations, age, gender, and languages.

Using these tools, we will answer the following questions about our current audience.

We will learn their gender, age, location, and preferable devices.

Take your pencil and some sticky notes to put down the data from your research.

You will use it in your audience settings.

Let's start with the reports from Google Analytics.

Open this tool, then go to "Audience", click "GEO' and choose "Location".

Select the time period and view the column with conversions by clicking on the tab.

Now, we can see the countries, which have been already converted into our store.

Let's fill in our notes.

In our Google Analytics demographics report, we could see that the most significant conversion

rate is for customers aged from 55 to 64 years though they are not such active shoppers.

So we can select the age range from 18 to 54.

Our store visitors are spread evenly by gender.

But, women represent a larger percentage of our buyers..

However, never forget about some special holidays, probably, men would love to order gifts for

their beloved ones from your store!

Now, look at the devices, that our customers use in most of the cases.

Move to "Mobile" and click "Overview".

As you see, we can exclude the traffic from tablets, and pay more attention to mobile

and desktop traffic.

This information will help us select our ad groups placements.

If you already have some nice engagement in your group, check your Facebook Page Insights.

Look through the demographics and GEO.

The data that you get from these two tools can differ.

It depends on many factors including the way you grow your followers and your previous

Advertising Strategies.

One way or another, you shouldn't stop analyzing.

Well, if you have already promoted your Instagram account and got a large number of followers,

you can use Instagram Insights too.

Statistics is available since you've switched your account to a business one.

Once again, we witness the equal proportion of males and females of the same age groups.

It's almost the time when you can state the characteristics of your current traffic.

Learn more how to grow followers and engagement in your social media accounts on our website!

Links are in the description.

You can also scan your sales report and see your top countries in the AliDropship Dashboard

if you use this plugin.

Go to your website – "AliDropship" – "Reports" – "Sales Report".

We actually see the same countries over here.

Well, you've got some data about your current audience and answers on the questions using

the 4 recommended tools.

Actually, there is also one more essential tool which is a free basic tool in Facebook

that you might want to use.

This is the easiest way to research information about your potential clients on Facebook.

I'm talking about Facebook Audience Insights.

We love to use it, especially when we want to promote some of our new products or even

new dropshipping stores.

And yes, we also use it when we create an advertisements pack

for our dropship club members.

Right now we want to define the detailed targeting settings for these cute watches with the Da

Vinci Cat print on them.

The product page looks great, so we will be able to promote these watches

any time we want.

Check one of our previous videos about product page optimization.

With the Facebook audience insights tool you can distinguish the typical Facebook behavior

of your current or potential customers and get aggregate and anonymous information such

as demographics, page likes, location, and language; Facebook and devices usage, past

purchase behavior and purchase methods.

You can use this tool to run insight reports on competitors, top brands or interests.

Let's type an interest related to our niche or type of product we are going to promote.

Now we see Top Categories and page likes, which will give us the understanding of the

audience portrait and size.

Look through this data and make some notes.

It's high-time to compile one of our target audiences in Facebook Ads manager.

Just put some of the interests, don't forget to narrow your audience and exclude those,

who already know about dropshipping and AliExpress.

Everyone needs testing their audiences before finding the most convertible one.

Segmenting audiences to target is the key to a successful running of a Facebook Ad campaign.

Use all of your data and analytics to perform informative market research – it will help

you to get really good results.

And remember, that we are always happy to help you with your dropshipping business.

Check the links in the description.

You will also find the link to my article for the AliDropship blog with more detailed

instructions on how to define your ideal audience for future campaigns.

I'm glad you watched it to the end!

Share your thoughts and ideas in the comments, so, I will be able to help you with the creation

or promotion of your dropshipping business.

Bye!

Cat valora o femeie in Korea! - Duration: 14:40.

Hi guys!

What's up?

I will present you, in this vlog, a small part of Korea's history.

Because, yes, Korea is not just the tumultuous present,

and the civil war between South and North,

but it means more than that!

Korea has an old and great history,

that stretches over hundreds of years, even thousands.

So, if you like history, then stay tuned and don't change the channel,

and let's find out something about Korea's history.

During our visit in Kaesong,

a city located right on the border with South Korea,

we visited a museum of history and some royal tombs.

First, I will show you the Koryo History Museum, from Kaesong.

Master, the pictures!

So, what do you think?

Did you like this place?

Before continuing, I want to tell you, two interesting things, about this place!

First, in ancient times, that is, a few hundred years ago,

this place was a university for government officials.

Fun fact, actually, I also graduated such kind of school!

I can work for the government.

Just to see, what coincidence I had here!

The second interesting thing, which I found here, was the following:

I found out, how much a woman was worth in Korea, in the past!

Just hear me!

In the past, a woman was worth 120 coins!

Does it seems little or to much, for you?

Well, pay attention to me!

Also in those days, a cow was worth 400 coins!

Yes, with a cow you could buy three women,

and you still have money for drinks!

What do you say about that?

Here comes a very interesting thing:

If nowadays, telling a woman that she is a cow, is an insult,

in the past, this was the greatest compliment you could do!

Because mean that she is expensive, has value!

Nowadays, it means that she's fat or stupid, something like that.

To see how, the same expression, has different meanings, in different time periods!

Which means that we humans change ourselves, not the things.

Interesting, right?

Anyway, my dear men,

wipe off from your face, the silly smile that you have now,

because don't think that we were more valuable!

No, no, no!

With a cow you could buy three women, right?

But, with the same cow, do you know how many men you could buy?

Four!

Yes, you heard well, because a man was worth just 100 coins!

So, a woman was more valuable than a man!

Things have not changed until nowadays!

Right?

The woman is priceless, my friends!

From my point of view, the woman is the most valuable creature on the Earth!

The woman is a mother, she is a friend,

girlfriend,

wife,

mistress,

housewife,

and many other things, all together!

Like I said, priceless!

And the fact that, in the past, a woman was worth less than a cow,

only means that those people were savages, barbarians!

They did not know the value of a woman!

I mean, how to compare a woman with a cow, and the cow win the comparison?

Let's be serious, right?

After we finished visiting the Koryo Museum,

we stopped at a store with stamps, postcards, and other souvenirs.

From there, I also bought some postcards and stamps.

These are the stamps, I still have,

and this are, some of the postcards that i still have.

If you also want a postcard and a stamp from North Korea,

then write me a message,

and I'll help you.

For a postcard from North Korea, I only want 4 euros.

Whoever wants it, contact me on instagram or by email.

And we'll discuss the details, in private.

Ok.

After I bought souvenirs from that store, we went to visit the tombs of King Kongmin.

Maestro, show us, the pictures!

Do you want to know the story of the Feng-Shui master?

If yes, the listen to me.

This king, named Kongmin, wanted to find a perfect place for his tomb and his wife!

And for that, he appealed to all sorts of feng-shui masters.

If you don't know what Feng-shui means, then search on the internet, and then return to this video.

Did you find out what Feng-shui means?

ok.

Let's move on.

As I said, he appealed to many feng shui masters, to find the perfect place, to build his tomb.

So far, all good, right?

Not realy!

Because, you see, this king, it was a bit pretentious!

And he was not so easy to please!

In fact, all feng shui masters, disappointed him!

And that would not be a problem, but in those times, a man's life, worth nothing!

And every time a feng shui master fails to find a perfect place,

the king commanded to be beheaded!

He has beheaded many feng shui masters!

Until one day, a feng shui master found a great place!

Located on the top of a hill.

As usual, the king went to check that place, by himself.

And he gave the following command, to the soldiers who remained with the feng shui master:

If you see me with my hands raised, it means I do not like that place, and you have the order to decapitate the feng shui master!

Ok!

The soldiers stayed next to the master and the king climbed the hill to the place indicated by the master!

Well, when he got there, and saw how beautiful it was,

of joy, because finally had found the perfect place,

he started to jump and raise his hands up!

The soldiers, when they saw the king raising his hands up, thought he did not like the place,

and they did the order!

When the king came back, he told the soldiers,

Bring him to me, the feng shui master, to reward him, because he found me, the place I was looking for!

But the master is already gone forever!

That means having bad luck, right?

Or, live in an era, when there were no phones!

So, dear women, dear men, be glad that you live in these days!

When human life is more appreciated and communication methods are much easyer!

That being said, my friends,

this was the today's vlog.

I'm Adi vlog.

Thank you for watching!

Kiss kiss and goodbye!

3 Quick ADA Accessibility Fixes - Duration: 4:26.

hello Big Sky staff this video is just to show a few of the most common issues

with accessibility that we found on our staff web pages so this is a test page

but it should look very similar to your own staff page and the first thing I'm

going to show is something that Janelle and I showed at the beginning of the

year which is labeling all of your apps so if you click into your webpage each

of these sections right here is an app so this is a teacher profile app and if

I click on the green pencil that will allow us to get in and edit the app up

on the top right hand corner we should see a box that says app options and you

should make sure that for every app that you have this box show the app name on

my page is checked and then the app name up here should be descriptive so in this

case it says teacher profile go ahead and say save to make sure that your

changes are saved and that is all you need to do if you have the error about

showing your app name on pages the next simple piece is the alternative text so

you can see when I roll over this image it brings up the alternative text mr.

penguin so if I click on the image and then use the right click on the mouse I

can check and see what my alternative text is currently listed as I can also

see what my source photo is called this one happens to be penguin PNG keeping in

mind that screen readers can read the file names and so it's better practice

for you to have a descriptive file name as well as alternative text that make

sense for the image so that if a person can't see the image they can understand

what's going on the next issue is a heading structure and this might also

include bullets so a lot of us are guilty of simply bolding or capitalizing

a section that we want to show is a heading or show importance so I can tell

whenever I click down here where it just says P spans strong that's the code

telling me that the only thing that I've done is bold this if I go a little bit

lower you see the regular P that is our normal

print if I did want to create a heading I could highlight this section and go to

the title headings drop down and choose a different selection I want to make

sure not to mix things up by putting like a title if I don't have a subtitle

or subheading if I don't have a heading instead I'm going to choose heading 3

and now that's going to show right here I can tell that I've actually in the

code made this a heading you can still afterwards change the

style and make it bigger or smaller obviously don't go lower than normal but

that's how you can indicate that this section is a heading and that will help

the screen reader organize text appropriately another thing that some

people have an error message on is if you have a list of items and you have

either copy and paste that bullets from from like Microsoft Word or maybe you've

just typed in the numbers 1 2 & 3 rather than doing that you need to use the

numbered list or bulleted list features on this side and what that does again is

showed that this is an ordered list a list type and that helps these screen

readers to read the items in a list as though they are in a list so 1 2 & 3 I

don't think there's very many of these left many of you know we're not supposed

to be saying like click here to learn more about penguins at the Big Sky

library so instead rephrase your content so that

it will say something so that the link is descriptive this is a link to the Big

Sky library and that's very clear it's Big Sky library and if you click on it

that's where it's going to go if you want to see where this link is going you

can right click check on the link target text this Leia's Big Sky library I'm

going to the Big Sky library page and I always like to open in a new window

rather than the same window so that the person who is navigating doesn't lose

the content that they're clicking from that's all we have for you today if you

need more information please come to one of our drop-in sessions or email Junell

or myself thank you

Frontier Forge Basic Hand Forged Hinge - Duration: 12:30.

Hello everybody! Branden Rapp here and welcome to Frontier Forge.

Today, we're going to be making a very basic hinge, and we're going to make it out of this

stuff right here. This is some 3/16 by 3/4 flat bar. You've seen me use it quite a

bit now. And so it's pretty simple. Basically you will form a 45 degree

angle. You can do that either with a grinder or with a file. I'm just going to

hammer it on the edge of the anvil. And then you'll take your 45 and you'll just

wrap it around and do a barrel and using a drift pin to set the size of your

barrel. And you'll want to make sure your drift pin is the same size as your rivet.

That will hold the two hinges, your two completed hinges together and it should

be, should be key word, as simple as that, So without further ado let's head out to

the forge! Come along, folks!

Okay, we'll go ahead and

break our corners because those will spread back out as we form our 45 degree angle.

That real quick, real easy. Real quick and easy. Make a 45. Now, keeping the

45 degree up, on our next heat we'll take a real short heat and we'll start

working that down over the edge of the anvil there to form our, to form our

barrel.

Okay, let's start rolling it over the anvil.

A process very similar to forming a scroll and that's basically what your barrel is

A very tight scroll.

Alright, we'll take another heat and we'll keep working that around.

Alright, just keep working our barrel.

Okay, now after our next heat, we'll go ahead and apply our drift

into that so we can continue to work that down and I'm probably... The point is

directly on the on the inside the of the flat strap. It didn't roll all the way in so

I'm probably gonna stick that in the vise... Put the drift in it, stick it in the

vise, and take a chisel and push that down.

That's cheating a little bit. There are guys out there far better than I am at

this kind of thing that can roll it up perfectly. Guys like John Switzer over at

Black Bear Forge or Rory from Dirty Smith. They can roll that sucker up

without needing to cheat with a chisel. I can't yet, so I'm gonna heat it

up, drift it, take a chisel, and tuck that little, tuck that guy in there.

Okay, stick our drift in.

Okay.

We're pretty close to where we want it. We're going to work it just a hair more.

That's not bad. It's not perfect, but it's not bad.

That'll work. That will work! So, we'll go ahead and form the barrel number two, now,

to complete our... Our pair of hinges.

Okay, so, I've got my two pieces here. And you can

see that I've cut them down and kind of cleaned them up a little bit. Now, these

aren't pretty. They aren't decorative and they're not meant to be. This is just

supposed to be a very basic concept of forming a hinge. So, we'll go ahead and take our... I've got

a piece of pin stock here, and I'll go ahead and start working this pin into my

hinge, here.

Okay, now I'm going to go ahead and measure where I want to cut that off

at, and basically I'll treat that like a rivet. I'll cut it off and then we'll

just tap it to set that guy.

There we have it! Nice, basic hinge.

Well, there you have it, folks! That is a very basic hinge. Alright, now it's not

the most beautiful hinge in the world. It wasn't meant to be. I was just showing

how I have learned to make a hinge, alright? I want to give a special thank you

to Rory at dirty Smith and also John Switzer over at Black Bear Forge.

It was their videos that I watched, and tried my very best to emulate while

making this. That is my first hinge that I've ever made.

Like I said, it's not pretty. You can get so much more decorative than this.

This is just a very basic concept demonstration. And you know it

didn't turn out too bad, but, you know, normally, you'd want to make

your little, you know, have it out so long, and make your little

spade finial, and all that good stuff.

But, you know, I don't even know what you use a hinge that small for, you know?

Cabinet door, maybe? I don't know. But, you know, you'd at least go in and bevel the

edges. It is getting dark so, for one, I have time constraints. I work. I do work

full-time, and so, whenever I get home, the sun's already working it's way below the

horizon, so, limited on time and also, you know, it's just a conceptual

demonstration. So, I didn't make it too crazy, but you could definitely make it

more, you know, that's not, it doesn't have to look that way that's not, you know, you

can make it much so much more decorative. I just chose to do a very simple, a very

basic concept, but despite the fact I hope you enjoyed the video! Let me know

if you did! And we'll see you next time here at Frontier Forge!

Honoring Taino Traditions with Jarina de Marco | Be You - Duration: 2:41.

- My name is Jarina De Marco and I am a musician.

My mother's teachings have influenced my identity.

You can't know where you're going if you

don't know where you came from.

And having your roots deep and steady allows you

to bear fruit and grow.

- [Irka Mateo] The Taino people

are the indigenous people

of the Caribbean, who went through so much hardship.

These people need to be acknowledged

because they are our ancestors

and also for our identity.

This is part of the mix of really knowing who you are.

(melodic rhythmic indigenous music)

- [Jarina] We're going to build an altar.

In the center will be the God of Yuca.

- [Irka] His name is Yocahú Bagua Maorocoti

He can make the crops healthy and abundant.

Then we're going to thank him for the work

that he's going to do.

- [Jarina] My mother moved here

and we started implementing the Taino ceremonies,

and, sure enough, we blessed it

and my garden went wild.

It became a tradition in my house to always,

before we'd plant everything, we'd make the ceremony.

My mother would bring me into forests and jungles

and she would teach me the names of all of the trees

and the fruits and I, still to this day,

walk around the neighborhood and I can

name you pretty much every tree.

That comes from her.

It all kind of blended together,

creating what I am now,

which is so many cultures in one.

(drumming and singing)

It's so primal, the voice and the drums,

and that is something that occurs in my music all the time.

That is a direct link from me seeing my mother.

Having roots are so important to me because

it cements me in my identity.

I've never faltered as to who I am as a person.

I know who I am and where I come from.

And that gives me so much strength and compassion.

It really centers me and makes me feel

like I'm standing really strong on the earth.

Day of the Dead: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 11:11.

Day of the Dead: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

The Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is being celebrated on November 2, 2018, with a Google Doodle.

"The Day of the Dead, which dates back to Pre-Columbian times, honors the mysteries of life and death, through both celebration and reverence," Google says.

"Families prepare for the celebration far in advance, cleaning the house and decorating it with fragrant marigold flowers and intricate tissue-paper cutouts.

Playful calacas and calaveras (skeletons and skulls), are usually seen in festive attire, enjoying (after)life to the fullest.

Colorful ofrendas or altars are set up in many homes, surrounded by favorite food and drink, as well as photographs and cherished mementos, plus sweet Pan de Muertos and sugar skulls.

Burning candles and incense is also customary to set the mood, evoke the spirit world, and serve as a reminder that death is just another part of life and that human connections will always endure.".

Here's what you need to know about the Day of the Dead:.

The Holiday Has Been Celebrated for More Than 3,000 Years in Mexico.

The Day of the Dead tradition is rooted in Mexican culture and has been celebrated for thousands of years.

It was first a part of the Aztec culture, but became mixed with Christian beliefs when the Spaniards came to Mexico, according to the Arizona Republic:.

Unlike the Spaniards, who viewed death as the end of life, the natives viewed it as the continuation of life.

Instead of fearing death, they embraced it.

To them, life was a dream and only in death did they become truly awake.

However, the Spaniards considered the ritual to be sacrilegious.

They perceived the indigenous people to be barbaric and pagan.

In their attempts to convert them to Catholicism, the Spaniards tried to kill the ritual.

But like the old Aztec spirits, the ritual refused to die.

To make the ritual more Christian, the Spaniards moved it so it coincided with All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day (Nov.

1 and 2), which is when it is celebrated today.

According to the National Endowment for the Humanities, "The Aztec Festival of the Dead was originally a two-month celebration during which the fall harvest was celebrated, and figures of 'death' were personified as well as honored.

The festival was presided over by Mictecacíhuatl, Goddess of the Dead and the Underworld, also known to the Aztecs as Mictlán.

In the pre-Columbian belief system, Mictlán was not dark or macabre, but rather a peaceful realm where souls rested until the days of visiting the living, or los Días de los Muertos, arrived.

Over the course of the festivities, participants place offerings for the dead in front of homemade altars, including special foods, traditional flowers, candles, photographs, and other offerings.".

According to Dallas Morning News contributor Pilar Zazueta, the meaning of the Day of the Dead in Mexico has changed in recent years.

"Today, the country is going through a dramatic wave of violence and impunity, and the Día de Muertos is acquiring a different meaning," Zazueta writes.

"Homicides and disappearances dominate foreign press coverage about Mexico.

These are not exactly the kind of muertos that make people eager to visit the country or celebrate its traditions.".

Zazueta writes that public memorials to victims of violence have become more prevalent in Mexico, including a recent altar for Alessa Flores, a transgender activist:.

Día de Muertos has never been a static ritual.

It has the meaning that people give to it: spiritual, celebratory, but mostly challenging the status quo.

In a context in which we all have counted thousands of victims of homicides and disappeared persons in Mexico, maybe there is nothing to celebrate.

But if it helps us to remember and publicly recognize the work and the life of people such as Alessa Flores, Día de Muertos might not be dead after all.

Perhaps in the future, the ritual will reincorporate its satirical and playful roots, but for now this seems unlikely.

Others drew comparisons to the violence in negative reactions to the Mexico City parade.

"More than 100,000 dead: decapitated, disappeared, buried in clandestine graves, thrown in garbage dumps, reduced to ashes, drowned in sewage canals, dead by hanging in the public plaza … Why do with minimising what should give us all chills?" wrote Alma Delia Murillo in the online publication Sin Embargo, according to the Guardian.

Day of the Dead Traditions Include Skull Masks & Sugar Skulls.

Those celebrating the holiday in Mexico wear skull masks, which are called calacas and dance to honor their deceased relatives, according to the Arizona Republic.

They also make sugar skulls, with the name of a deceased relative on the forehead, which are then eaten by a friend or family member, according to the newspaper.

According to National Geographic, "Assured that the dead would be insulted by mourning or sadness, Dia de los Muertos celebrates the lives of the deceased with food, drink, parties, and activities the dead enjoyed in life.

Dia de los Muertos recognizes death as a natural part of the human experience, a continuum with birth, childhood, and growing up to become a contributing member of the community.

On Dia de los Muertos, the dead are also a part of the community, awakened from their eternal sleep to share celebrations with their loved ones.".

Ofrendas, or offerings, to bring the deceased relatives back for a visit are a major part of the holiday, according to NPR.

"Among the most popular food offerings are tamales — delicious little packages of masa, or dough made from corn flour, wrapped in aromatic leaves, usually corn husks or banana leaves, and steam cooked.

There are hundreds and hundreds of types of tamales, which can come with sweet or savory fillings such as beef, pork, chicken or cheese," NPR says.

Mexico City Held a Day of the Dead Parade for the First Time in 2016, Drawing on James Bond for Inspiration.

Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is celebrated on November 2.

The holiday is included in the days of the dead, along with Halloween and All Saint's Day.

It is also often connected with the Catholic holiday of All Soul's Day.

"The days of the dead are truly a celebration of life," according to a University of New Mexico website about the holiday.

"When children dance with caricatures of death, eat skull sugar molds and learn to respect that life is brief, they learn there is a circle to life and to not fear death and then are free to enjoy and appreciate every moment.".

Mexico City held a parade on the Day of the Dead for the first time in 2016, according to People.

More than 100,000 people attended the October 29, 2016, event.

"Day of the Dead is always something in Mexico City that is celebrated, though in a more serious way," Enrique de la Madrid, the country's tourism secretary, told the Guardian.

"It's a deeply rooted tradition in Mexico, but what we decided to do is a festival.".

The parade was actually inspired by the latest James Bond film, Spectre, which included a scene where Bond chased a villain through a Day of the Dead festival, officials told the Guardian.

Not everyone was happy about it.

"This is a cheap stunt," tweeted Esteban Illades, editor of the magazine Nexos, according to the Guardian.

"They film James Bond here and now we have the 'traditional Day of the Dead parade'.

Let's see what happens when (the mayor) finishes reading The Da Vinci Code.".

Could You Survive In Siberia? (Coldest Inhabited Place On Earth) - Duration: 8:49.

People manage to live in some pretty remote places.

Take the 258 folks that live on the island of Tristan da Cunha in the South Atlantic.

If you want to visit them, you'll have to take a ship from Cape Town for a journey of

1,732 miles [2,787 km].

For some peace and quiet you might also visit Barrow, Alaska, which is only reachable by

plane.

The 4,200 inhabitants of this town spend much of their extremely cold winters in total darkness.

Even more remote is the town of Ittoqqortoormiit in Greenland, whose 452 population make their

money fishing shrimp and hunting whales and polar bears.

They are also happy to put the intrepid tourist up for the night.

How would you fare in one of these far-flung destinations?

That's what we'll find out today, in this episode of the Infographics Show, Could you

survive in Siberia?

It really depends which part of Siberia we are talking about of course.

If, for example, you were dropped off in the city of Novosibirsk, the largest city in Siberia,

you'd be fine as it's a modern city and you'd be living there with around 1.5 million

other people.

Ok, so the winter is not exactly inviting, but survival wouldn't be an issue at all.

But the Soviets chose Siberia as the location where people deemed a threat to the regime

were sent to die for a good reason.

Parts of it are about as remote as you can get.

Siberia itself is massive, with a total land area of 5,050,000 square miles [13,100,000

km2].

That's about 77 percent of the land area in the whole of Russia.

Despite that, only 27 percent of Russia's population lives there.

The harsh climate doesn't exactly make life easy for the 36 million people that inhabit

Siberia.

The more remote you get, the more space people have.

The almost-19,000 people that live in Koryak Okrug on the western tip of Siberia have 116,000

square miles [301,500 km2] to play with.

The largest ethnic group there are the Koryaks, and we bet you've never even heard of them.

They live alongside other indigenous people, such as the Evens, Itelmens and the Chukchi

people.

But let's say we are sending you to the most remote part of Siberia, also sometimes

called the coldest year-round inhabited place on the planet.

This place is called Oymyakon, and the 500 folks that live here can enjoy just an average

of 3 hours of daylight per day in December.

In June the sun comes out, but it's out for 21 hours a day.

The lowest recorded temperature there was −89.9F [−67.7C], which is a bit chilly

for most people.

If you go there next winter, you can expect the average temperature to be around -58F

[-50C].

In fact, it's bitterly cold most of the year, with temperatures at the peak of summer

being 58.8F [14.9C] on average.

You get the picture.

But could you survive there?

Well, people do, even though pictures of them online depict them walking through a landscape

that looks like a miniature town that's been sitting in your freezer for 10 years.

Once you are there, it's not easy getting out.

The nearest town called Yakutsk is 576 miles [926km] away.

One journalist that visited the town said he was surprised that people living there

were not exactly hardened to the freezing temperatures.

"I'd expected that the locals would be accustomed to the winters and there would be everyday

life happening in the streets," he told The Telegraph newspaper, adding, "But people

were very wary of the cold."

Yep, if it gets too bad, say below -50, the kids don't even go to school.

He said the entire town felt abandoned, as anything that happened generally happened

inside.

That meant that he didn't get to meet many of the local folks.

"The only companions I had were the occasional street dog, or one of the drunks," he said.

Thank God for dogs and drunks.

But he also said the locals were not exactly the warmest people in the world.

"They were a tough people," he said.

"I expected there to be human warmth there, but I didn't experience that at all."

He went as far as to say that during his trip he was threatened outside twice by drunks,

adding that if you end up unconscious on the floor there it means you'll likely die.

He was only there a short while, too.

His conclusion.

"It didn't feel like a happy place."

Living there is hard on you in many ways.

Reports suggest that just a walk down the street to the local store is exhausting, with

everyday tasks like tying a shoe lace outside are difficult.

The weather rules over every aspect of your life, and get things wrong and it could mean

frostbite or worse.

The BBC said the same thing.

Its journalist said that even though the frost melts during some parts of the year, it melts

slowly, and the ground is not much good for farming.

Even dying is hard.

"It takes two or three days to dig a grave in frozen ground," wrote the BBC.

So, first things first, if you do get sent there to live you will have to get decked

out in the local-style clothes.

Fashion is of little importance of course, and most people there wear the best survival

gear there is – not available in your local sporting goods store.

The inhabitants just about all wear fur hats and fur coats.

A coat will set you back about $1,500.

One journalist explained what it's like not having the right clothes.

"This was so cold that after no more than a few minutes outside, exposed skin started

to smart with pain, damp surfaces in my nostrils froze, and toes and fingers turned uncomfortably

cold very quickly, despite three layers of thick socks and two pairs of gloves."

Yep, you really have to follow the locals here, so don't think about getting precious

about wearing something fashioned out of a dead Arctic fox.

The BBC journalist had better luck than the Telegraph journalist who only seemed to meet

angry drunk men.

She was invited into a house to watch a mother dressing her daughter before she went to school.

Dressing was an important part of the day.

"In other parts of Russia, you can throw on a coat to go outdoors, here it takes ages

to dress.

But we are used to it.

This is our home," the mother said.

Ok, so what do the locals do to survive.

Hardly anything grows, you can't be out for long, and even if you are out it's hardly

Disney Land.

Well, one western photographer wrote that a way people deal with the harsh climate is

to booze the dark days away.

"Russki chai, literally Russian tea, which is their word for vodka," said the guy,

adding that they drink a lot of 'tea'.

He wrote that as plumbing is virtually impossible so most people use outhouses to do their business

in.

Cars cannot even be left in a garage if it's not heated as they won't start again.

If for some reason your car fails to keep running outdoors, it's likely it won't

start again.

This is not a town where you want to break down.

Oh, and once you get dropped off there by plane at the beginning of winter, that's

it for air travel for the rest of the winter season.

Those are private planes, too, there is no regular airline that goes there.

Most people take the long drive, but that's also perilous.

The road in is called the "Road of Bones."

It's perilous, but it actually got that name because of all the people that died constructing

the road.

So, let's say you have a house and have all your furs.

Now, you're hungry, what are you going to eat?

Well, as hardly anything grows people hunt for their grub.

"Yakutians love the cold food, the frozen raw Arctic fish, white salmon, whitefish,

frozen raw horse liver, but they are considered to be delicacy," one local man told weather.com.

"In daily life, we like eating the soup with meat.

The meat is a must.

It helps our health much."

You are either going to have to learn how to hunt, or look for somewhere to buy some

food.

Another journalist said he managed to find a place that served him reindeer soup, and

that's what he lived on for two days.

He also said that you build-up a good appetite just from getting around.

"After the first couple of days I was physically wrecked just from strolling around the streets

for a few hours," he said.

On the menu the dishes mostly consist of stroganina, (raw frozen fish) the aforementioned reindeer

meat, frozen raw horse liver, and a specialty which is ice cubes of horse blood with macaroni.

Hmm, yum, yum.

You can see one video made there that shows a local market where you can buy this stuff,

but it's not exactly bustling.

In the film there is one customer with her child, walking around the market in -68.8F

[-56C] cold.

"While filming the trading rows my hands froze to wild pain.

And sellers stand here all day long.

How do they warm themselves?" said the filmmaker.

The answer is good clothing, but also the fact these people are very, very tough.

So, the answer to the question this show asks is no, we don't think you could survive

living here without a great deal of help.

But it all depends on which part of Siberia of course.

The more remote, the less chance you will have of survival.

Or, do you disagree?

Setting Yourself Up As An Employee Of Your Own Corporation? - Duration: 1:57.

(upbeat music)

- [Man] I would like to start working for my corporation

as its first full-time employee and receive benefits.

Should I accept a 1099 or be W-2, what do you think?

- [Man] I would go with the W-2 employee.

By issuing yourself a 1099, you're just producing

self employment income for yourself.

I would rather run those expenses through the corporation.

- [Man] Yep, and what's more important about that?

This is kind of fun.

You guys all know the answer to this now.

Let's see if I can find my question field.

Where is it?

I love technology when its not working.

In order to receive fringe benefits

what do you have to be?

An employee.

Right, so we actually need to be an employee.

So if you have a choice, you're never going to be a 1099

of your own corporation period.

It's just not going to happen.

You're going to be an employee of your organization.

If you are a director or an officer,

by default you're considered an employee,

you start receiving compensation on it.

It doesn't mean that it's always 100%,

there are certain cases where I've seen clients

that have farmed out their directorships.

And they'll do that underneath the company,

and they'll be a designated representative for the company,

but they're controlled by an employee agreement

and the company that is paying knows

that they're then paying a company.

In which case then they can be treated

as a independent contractor.

Let me see, oh there we go.

Look at all these wonderful questions

that are coming through.

So we'll start going through those.

So that's question number one.

How To Be A Better Wife To My Husband - Duration: 8:00.

Hey friends, I'm here to help you know how to be a better wife to your husband.

And you know, if you've been kind of struggling in your relationship and just

aren't like connecting, you're definitely gonna want to check out my tips I got

for you today. Because they are awesome. Off the charts. Check it out.

You probably noticed. I am in the garage. No, you know, I actually did another video

about how to connect with your son. And you know what? Your husband is a boy only

he's older. So, it's about location, location, location.

If you want to connect with your husband, you got to go where he is. You got to hang

out where he is. It's not always about them coming to you.

Sometimes you're going to go to them. Go to where their space is. And then when you

get to that space, there's some.. There's three tips that I have for you. The first

tip... And this... Oh, you guys. This, seriously? This... I put this as number 1 and the

reason why it's number 1 is because it is off the charts, the most important

advice that I can give you. So, you're really going to want to check this one out.

If you want to connect with your husband, you have to love yourself first. I have

been in a place in my life where I didn't like me. I didn't like my body and

I didn't like this and I didn't like that. And I was so critical of me like I

honestly was to the point where I could say I hated myself. 12 years ago I was in

a really really bad place. Very overweight, very low self-esteem. Not... No

confidence. And my life was all about me. I was so focused on me and I really got

to the point where I didn't like me and when I didn't like me, I kind of like

built up this wall around myself and I didn't let anyone in. And because I

didn't like me... If I didn't love me, I couldn't feel anyone else's love. So, why

would my husband want to give me love because I wasn't receiving it. I was like

totally rejecting his love. And he felt that from me and because I was rejecting

my love for myself, I was rejecting his love from me, I couldn't connect. I

couldn't love him, I couldn't feel him loved me.

So, that really is number 1. I start liking you. Because when you like

you, wow! Your relationship will just literally explode. Because you'll build

the capacity to like love. And when you can love yourself, you'll have the

capacity to connect and love your husband in a way you've never done

before. So, love yourself first. That's number 1.

Like we could stop now because really, that would make the most difference. But

I got some more for you. Okay, well share few more things. Number 2, this is a

good one. Understanding. They have their own point of view.

Like their point of view and your point of view are completely different. And

you're going to find this out in multiple ways. I just had an experience just a

couple days ago. Where my husband and I had my point of view, he had his point

of view about the exact same situation. It was like black and white

difference. I saw my way, he saw his way and I like was thinking you know, in the

situation, what happened. I was like expecting him to apologize to me because

I couldn't believe what happened. And guess what? He explained his side of the

story, he was expecting an apology from me.

And I was like, "Are you kidding me? I'm not apologizing to you. You owe me an

apology." But the crazy thing it was just because we had two different points of

view. So, in that moment, what I did is I shut my mouth. And I listened. I just

listened. It was really hard to like bite my tongue. And shove my lips because I

wanted to express myself in that situation. I wanted to share with him.

This is wrong. What you're thinking is wrong. This is what happened. But I did it.

I really listened to his point of view and when he was done sharing with his

point hit with its sharing with me, his point of view, I still kind of didn't

completely agree with it. But it helped me to understand. And once I had

understanding then I realized you know, what we both

have a different point of view and that's okay. It helped me to connect with

him. And it didn't you know, in the past it would have like completely pushed us

apart. Because I would have opened my big mouth. I would have said what I wanted to

say and then we would have had an argument. And then we wouldn't have

talked for like a day or a week or something. If you've ever been there

before. But this time, I shut my mouth and I listened. And I recognized he has a

point of view that I deserve to listen to. Or he deserves to have me listen to.

And even though I may not have agreed with it, I was willing to open my mind to

know that he has his own point of view and that's okay. So, understanding that

your husband has his own point of view will really help you to connect. It's

going to help you to be a better wife. And you're going to feel better and you're

going to have that loving relationship that you so want.

Alright, here's number 3. This is a big one. Forgiveness. You got to start

forgiving yourself. When you forgive yourself, you literally build the

capacity to have forgiveness for your spouse.

So start forgiving yourself. You know we all make mistakes. We all do things in

our life that we know regret or we we're not happy with it. I mean, I make mistakes

literally every single day. But when I make those mistakes, at the end of the

day, I ponder on my day and I think about it and I'm like, "Oh, you know what? I got to

forgive myself for that." And as I forgive myself, each day, it builds the capacity

for me to forgive my husband. And that? Ah! That one alone, forgiveness, will make

such a difference for you and your spouse. And you... You know when you do that?

You'll connect. Let's just go back here. First, you've got to love self. Second,

understand their point of view and number 3, forgive yourself so that

you can have the capacity to forgive them. I know that I make a difference for

you and I'm excited that you're here today. I really hope that helped.

I know that in my life, I've had times when my husband and I did not connect.

And I hope that into sharing a little bit about you know, my life and my

experience made the difference for you. And if you've got a great idea,

type it in the comments below. I want to hear about it. And I'm sure that there's

a other girlfriends out there that would like to hear about it too. In fact, my

husband and I, we have been teaching a class called Royalty and Romance for the

last... Oh quite a few years now. It is... Oh! It's the... It's the best. It's the bomb

when it comes to relationships. Seriously. It's an amazing class. Amazing

course that you could take. There's a link below. Go ahead and register. It's

incredibly affordable for you and your spouse. It would make a difference for

you to come to this class for three days and experience what we had to share

with you. Seriously, an upgrade in your

relationship. So, check it out.

Michael Flick: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 7:44.

Michael Flick: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Michael Flick resigned from his position as a high school principal after he was arrested for stealing medication that belonged to students.

The school nurse reportedly discovered that pills were missing, and the school alerted police.

This happened at Great Valley High School in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Flick then confessed to taking the prescription drugs from the nurse's office.

He faces more than a dozen charges and was due back in court November 30.

Here's what you need to know.

The Nurse First Noticed Three Pills Missing From a Cart That Had Been Locked in the Office & the School Alerted Police.

Staff at Great Valley High School appeared to have taken steps to ensure that students could not access the medication in the nurse's office.

Medicine is typically secured in a locked room and few staff members have keys to it.

Citing a criminal complaint, WNBC-TV reported that the school nurse realized that something was wrong with her cart on October 24.

Three pills that she was supposed to administer to students was missing.

According to WPVI-TV, the school quickly brought in police to investigate.

The Chester County District Attorney's office was also called in.

Investigators Discovered a Total of 93 Pills Had Been Taken & Said Michael Flick Was on Surveillance Video Entering the Locked Room.

It turned out that far more than three pills were missing.

According to the criminal complaint, investigators discovered that 93 pills had been taken from six bottles.

The medication belonged to five different students being treated for ADHD.

The specific drugs are categorized as controlled substances.

Police accessed the school's surveillance cameras and observed Michael Flick entering the nurse's office and the locked room where the medication was stored.

They confronted Flick and he confessed to stealing the medication.

Michael Flick Was Charged on Multiple Counts of Drug Possession & Theft.

Michael Flick was arrested by officers with the East Whiteland Township Police Department.

He posted $10,000 bond and was released on October 30.

He was being represented by attorney Albert P.

Massey Jr. He faces 16 total charges.

According to the court record, which you can see in its entirety above, Flick faces 8 counts of Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance By a Person who is Not Registered.

It is listed as a misdemeanor.

Flick was also charged with 8 counts of Theft By Unlawful Taking.

The court record does not state whether it is a misdemeanor or felony.

Under Pennsylvania law, this is determined by the financial value of the stolen items.

Property valued at more than $2,000 can warrant a third degree felony charge and seven years behind bars.

Items worth less than $50 is a third degree misdemeanor.

The School Superintendent Wrote an Email to Parents Acknowledging the Issue of Drug Abuse & That Staffers Had Access to Support Services.

Michael Flick resigned his position as principal of Great Valley High School after his arrest.

The district superintendent, Regina Palubinsky, reached out to parents explaining what had happened.

In an email, she wrote about how dependency on prescription drugs was a problem nationwide.

She stressed that district officials would work to make sure that all staffers were made aware of services available to them if they needed assistance for a similar problem.

Palubinsky wrote that she would not share all of the details since the case was pending.

WNBC-TV obtained the email, which read in part, "We will work through this difficult time.

Mr Flick's intent was not to harm students, and he has asked that we share with you his apology and deep regrets.".

Michael Flick Apologized & Said He is Seeking Treatment.

Michael Flick is a graduate of Great Valley High School.

He became principal of the school in 2012.

WPVI-TV reports that 44-year-old Flick suffered major injuries a few years.

He had to undergo multiple surgeries after a car accident.

In a letter to the district, Flick wrote that he regrets causing anyone pain, and apologized to "anyone who feels I have let them down." He stressed that was focusing on getting treatment and recuperating with his family.

He also encouraged students to learn from his mistakes and seek help when they need it.

An online search shows that Flick lives in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, which is located about 20 miles from Great Valley High School in Malvern.

He is married with three children.
