The Non-(Non-GMO Project) Project - Part 1 - Duration: 4:51.

Non-GMO labeling is peaking in popularity.

This little label here, is now found on 43,000 products.

That's a lot of butterflies.

As consumers, when we're walking through the supermarket, and we see this label, we

assume the product is entirely GMO free, like the label implies.

But that assumption might not be correct.

The non-GMO project, has a variety of guidelines that must be met as you'd expect, and there's

a lot of stuff in those guidelines to consider.

I found one part of this really interesting though.

Here is the table from their own documentation that shows a variety of different categories

of products, and here are the "action thresholds" for each category.

Basically, whatever product you're trying to get verified has an allowance for the amount

of GMO it's allowed to contain.

That there is an allowance, a threshold at all, that's interesting to me.

Those of us consumers who look for the Non-GMO Project label, I think it's reasonable of

us to assume if it's got that label, it is Non-GMO, as in has NO GMO whatsoever, yet

according to their own guidelines, that's simply not the case.

.25%, 0.9%, 5%, 1.5%, I'm no mathematician, but none of those numbers are zero.

So…

Non-GMO project verified, apparently does not mean non-GMO, and that's verified by

their own thresholds.

Now on the other side of the GMO fence, you've got labels like "proudly made with GMOs".

If I wanted to put a "proudly made with GMOs" label on a hypothetical product, well

it doesn't need to be all GMO for that marketing label to be "truthful", and therefore

allowed.

It'd only need a little bit of GMO in there, maybe even LESS GMO than the non-GMO projects

own thresholds.

You see where I'm going with this.

According to current labeling rules, You could TECHNICALLY have a product that had a non-GMO

project verified label, and also had a "Proudly made with GMO" label.

I am all ears to hear a reason why my thinking is wrong on this.

Frankly, I'd love to be wrong about this, because if I'm right, our labeling system

is totally broken, and labels mean nothing.

For fairness sake, I will point out that the Non-GMO project says in the same document

that "absence of all GMOs is the target for all non-GMO Project Standard Compliant

Products."

They DO say that.

But, there own thresholds seem to say that target doesn't need to be strictly met to

get this label.

Sure, they're striving for perfection, but they don't seem to let the fact they haven't

achieved it yet stop them from labeling products, even if they do TECHNICALLY contain GMO.

Wrapping up: Question: DO THE CONSUMERS KNOW ABOUT THIS?!?!

I don't think this threshold detail is something the non-GMO project wants a heck of a lot

of publicity around.

If you're an avid Non-GMO project supporter, if you trust that label, maybe it's worth

reaching out to the Non-GMO project.

Ask them why they allow for some GMO in the products they verify are non-GMO.

It doesn't strike me as fair to convince consumer they need to avoid GMO no matter

the cost, and then allow GMO contamination in the products they're verifying.

Look, transparency and fairness are kind of crucial when you're talking to people about

food.

Imagine if I said all our videos are free from industry support, they're all Non-Monsanto

Verified, but then you found out I actually get 5% of my support from Monsanto, but it's

below the threshold I've set myself, so it's fine, just ignore it.

Yea… that wouldn't fly.

That's kind of what the non-GMO project is doing, and in my book, that's kind of

shady.

Let's Talk Travel - The Wonder of Azamara - Duration: 10:49.

Hey there Explorers!

Are you looking for your next best vacation?

Are you looking for that boutique experience out to sea?

Well, we have the best vacation for you!

How about an Azamara Club Cruise?

Today, we have Lionel from Azamara Club Cruises with us.

Welcome!

Hello! Thank you. Welcome, thank you for joining us!

So, Lionel, will you tell our Explorers a little bit about

who in the world, and where in the world,

does Azamara Club Cruises go?

For sure, most definitely!

So, Azamara Club Cruises is a three ship cruise brand

owned and opperated by the Royal Caribbean family.

I'm sure you've all heard of Royal Caribbean at some point.

And what Azamara— What Royal Caribbean did was introduce Azamara

to deliver the world differently.

Cruise lines today sadly don't spend nearly enough time in port.

You know, most of the time cruise lines are leaving by

4 or 5 o'clock in the afternoon.

With Azamara, half of our stops on every single voyage

we have a departure time of 8pm or later.

So if you want to spend more time in port,

you want to see more of the destination,

you want to try the local foods and take in a show locally,

you can do that with Azamara.

Azamara currently visits 365 ports, 81 countries,

and seven continents.

So truly, the world is at your fingertips.

You just have to call the team here at Roseborough Travel,

and they can help you find that perfect voyage with Azamara.

I love that! I love that. I was tellling Lionel a little bit ago

that I actually have two clients doing back to back

because you only have the three ships,

you don't do the same round trip every week.

So you actually have to follow your ships,

and figure out where you're going.

I have two— two sets of clients who are going on—

One's leaving from Miami and ending in Lima, Peru.

And the next set is hopping on a 21-day voyage

in Lima, and then, um, ending their trip 21 days later in Argentina.

So, it should be a great trip. You go to amazing destinations

-Yeah. And now you do something special on your ships...

uh.. AzAmazing Evenings?

Yes, we have a nighttime tour called the AzAmazing Evening,

but Amanda, I want to tell you something about your clients

who are doing that trip from Lima to Buenos Aires

It's a 21-night cruise, and I did some homework on that voyage

because one of the things that we do that's unique

is invite our guests to step off the ship

and into the destination with our shore excursions.

We call our shore excursions 'Cruise Global, Connect Local.'

Because the max size for our one our tours is no more than 25 people.

That's almost a private tour with some other companies.

So, the second stop on their cruise

is a port called the... oh I just... Antofagasta, Chile.

Antofagasta, Chile. Try saying that a few times fast.

But that's the second stop. What's fascinating about that stop

—you've probably never heard of it—is that it's the nearest port stop

to the Atacama Desert. The Atacama Desert is sought after by

astrologists everywhere in the world to see the universe.

It is the clearest place to see the Milky Way.

-Wow... So we offer a shore excursion for your clients,

maybe they'll be interested in it, I'm not sure,

but we offer a shore excursion -I'm gonna call them today!

to spend 3 days, 2 nights, in a hotel in the Atacama Desert

to go stargazing. So they'll spend their evenings

out of the hotel, off of the ship, in the desert, looking at the universe

and studying the stars with an astrologist. And then they meet the ship

three days later, two nights later, at the next port of call.

That's what's special about Azamara.

Now, sorry, pause, go back to your original question

-Yeah! which was the AzAmazing Evening—

Well, you just sold me on that trip! (laughs)

So that sounds amazing! So yes, AzAmazing Evenings.

Tell us a little about that.

So, the AzAmazing Evening is this nighttime excursion

that's included in the cost of your cruise fare

on any voyage, seven nights or longer.

What's special about that is, yes, you can be in port late at night

but unless we give you a reason to step off the ship and enjoy the destination,

you might not go out otherwise.

So every voyage seven nights or longer, we include a nighttime tour.

My most recent experience was actually in Bilbao, Spain,

this happened this past summer. We were treated to

the... a performance at the Chocolate Box Theater in downtown Bilbao.

We had red carpet treatment, champagne reception, pictures with the captain,

I think there was even local media because this was the first time they had rented out the entire theater

for this type of event. And then we had a folklore Spanish performer

and dance troupe come and perform for us.

He had the entire auditorium and theater there

dancing in their seats and you know, clapping the night away

and then that whole performance was dedicated only to Azamara.

It was set together and put together by Azamara for Azamara,

And we do this every voyage, seven nights or longer

in the destination.

Wow, while on vacation, if they're rolling out the red carpets

for you and pouring the champagne, that sounds amazing already,

but to have it that exclusive event, that's really just over the top

I love that! I love that. -Yeah.

It is, it is truly the, um, the beacon or the most desired

evening for most guests, and it's the one memory they walk away with

is the AzAmazing Evening.

Very good. So, you told us that you're in the same family

as Royal Caribbean, but... Family.

Let's bring that up. -Sure.

Your ships aren't filled with water slides and a bunch of family members, are they?

No. (laughs) So thats.. I love that. That's a great transition.

So, Azamara is... Azamara does cater to families

if a family wants to come with Azamara,

but we have no kids' program, we have no babysitting service.

Uh, we don't have an arcade, we don't have the water slide.

But what makes it special for us is, for example, we do

know that there are families that like to travel

with their families, and show them the world.

And for those families, typically, they don't book a cruise then.

They may go on a land vacation, or they may go to an all-inclusive,

or they maybe book a river cruise to see the destination in a really unique way.

Well, with Azamara, with very few days at sea

if any—sometimes we have no days at sea

a family can easily find themselves entertained in the destination

and the kids never asking, "Are we there yet?"

Uh, however, if you're looking to not be with kids or families,

or your purpose of your vacation is to stay away from all the families,

then you can find yourself at home on Azamara as well.

The two times I've taken my family, I have a... Now... My son is three,

my daughter is five. The two times I've taken them on board, they were

one of two kids on board. Uh, or another one they were

one of four kids on board. So, you don't really see them.

If anything, they may just make you miss your kids from

back home, or your grand kids back home.

And, um, but yes. I do think we can most definitely cater to

all the... the travel needs.

That's wonderful. You know I have a four year old

-Yeah. and I love bringing my child along with me, but I

don't want a... a cruise ship full of a bunch of other children.

And so, I love it! I love Azamara already.

It's amazing!

So, uh, what's included when you go on one of your cruises?

So, with Azamara we like to make you feel like this is your home away from home,

we want you to have more included.

So, in essence, the easiest way to say this, we include

everything with the exception of— with the exception of

the internet, shore excursions, and airfare.

So, three items not included.

Now that leaves all the things that are included.

So, to make it, I give you the... —My glass of wine every night?

There you go. A glass of wine. But to make it easy

all your spirits, including beer and wines,

spirits, they're included, every day, all the time. Not just with lunch and dinner,

Your gratuities are included. Your wonderful AzAmazing Evening is included.

And then, you know, our ships are small, so we can dock at the heart of many cities.

But if we don't dock at the heart of the city

of the destination that we're stopping in,

believe or not, we're actually gonna provide you a shuttle from the

port to the center of town, included in the cost of your cruise fare.

Even if that happens at every single port, which is not likely,

but if it happens at every port, then we will offer you a shuttle from

the ship to the heart of the city and back,

yeah, while the ship is in port, which is quite fascinating.

Very good! Very good. So, promos and deals.

Do you have any great promos and deals going on right now? -We do!

Yeah, actually we do. So I don't know when you're going to watch this,

today, we're at the end of October, but I have great news for you

The entire month of November, is also taking advantage of the Plan a Cruise Month.

So, this particular month, we're running our Double Upgrade promotion.

That means you pay for an interior stateroom, but you travel in the veranda of your choice.

So that's either going to be a forward facing or an aft facing.

Maybe you like starboard, maybe you like portside.

Wherever you want to be, deck six, deck seven, deck eight,

you pay for an interior, travel in a veranda.

If that's not enough of an incentive, here's another one:

we're gonna offer you a $500 onboard credit. (happy dance)

Yeah, $500. -If everything is included, what do I do with that?

So, a perfect way to use it will be on your shore excursions,

or spa treatments, or maybe you want to buy a nice bottle of wine.

Or maybe you want to try Chef's Table, which is a unique dining experience

with only 14 guests at the table.

Every course is paired with wine, and the sommelier and the chef

come and present each dish. So there are opportunities

to spend that money, trust me, but you have $500

onboard credit. And then, that's going to be for the entire month of November.

And we have 81 voyages to choose from,

departing March of next year through April of 2020.

So really the enter gambit is there for you to choose from.

Maybe you're interested in planning a South African voyage,

maybe you want to go to Alaska next summer, maybe Cuba is on your bucket list.

Whatever of those countries or destinations,

we have it on sale, and the folks here at Roseborough Travel

and Amanda and her wonderful team,

will be more than happy to price that out for you.

We're very happy to. Is there anything else our Explorers should know

before we let them go and give us a call to start planning their Azamara Club Cruise today?

Yeah, I would say if you're ready to see the world differently,

if you're ready to spend more time in the destination,

if you're ready to be presented the opportunity to experience country intensive voyages

for example, or really just immerse yourselves with it, with travel

then please, I hope you seriously consider Azamara

I think you will not be disappointed, and you will fall in love

with our beautiful boutique brand.

Very good. Thank you so much Lionel for coming out today.

And thank you, Explorers for tuning in and watching this video.

Be sure to hit the subscribe button and share this with your friends,

and give us a call at Roseborough. We'll be happy to help you with this trip.

What People Think About During Meetings - Every Damn Sketch Show - Duration: 4:39.

Oh, sure. Like you've never threatened a police horse.

Actually, I have.

Well, you heard it here first.

Please like, comment, and subscribe.

Thanks for watching.

Cut. Excellent. Love the energy today.

Ryan, have you been working out?

No. Consider doing so.

Quick reminder, the all hands pre-marketing meeting

for the marketing meeting is today.

So, grab a quick bite, run up to the conference room.

All hands? Talk to me when it's all feet.

Show's over man. You can stop

Oh, thank god.

March 23 post about shitting at a bus stop

was more popular than the March 15th post

about shitting at a doctor's office.

This leads us to believe that bus stops are funnier,

while office-scapes are inherently more sexual.

Given the levels of engagement ...

That's right big guy. Give them your meeting face.

You're doing great. They think you're engaged

and nobody has any idea you're thinking about butts.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Reel it in. Meeting face.

And, you can see oval number one is small.

Oval number two is a bit bigger.

Oval number three is bigger still

and four is the largest oval. So, these are ...

Yo, my name is Jordy, and you know I like pizza.

Loving on the girls. They say, happy to meet you.

Pizza. Pizza. Meet you.

What rhymes with pizza? How bout pizza?

No, that's the same word.

Wait, is Chris thinking about butts?

Butts.

We launched our new digital series High Priced Fish Lawyers.

It circles around a group of lawyers who work expensive,

fish-related cases who are also half human, half fish.

As I was saying before, my own experience with fish ...

Devin or was it Kevin? Tevin? Is that even a name?

Crevin. Maybe he's Slavic?

Ugh, even if I figure out his name,

what am I going to say?

Hey, so crazy we both come to this hot dog stand every day.

What are you doing later?

He probably thinks I'm gross for eating hot dogs every day,

but like (bleep) him. He's there too.

God, he's cute. I think Crevin is my soulmate.

Oh my god. Is Crevin my soulmate?

Of course we have done many graphs

relating to the effectiveness of company meetings.

My favorite being the pie graph.

Second favorite is the bar graph.

Yo. My name is Jordy and you know I like pizza.

Loving on the girls. They say, happy to meet you.

Pizza. Pizza. Glad to meet you.

Man, Jordan's going to be so happy

when I tell him about this rap song I've written for him.

I'm such a good friend. Wait a minute.

Is Chris thinking about butts?

Butts.

I knew that I wanted to see my pop pop

once more before the harvest.

I was traditionally the corn girl.

Okay, okay, okay.

Then, I ended each episode by saying something wacky,

but still reminding people to like and subscribe.

It's a job, but hey, I love it.

Wow. You really are the tallest and the smartest.

So, what's the name of your YouTube show again?

Every Damn Day.

Wow. Wow.

Well, well, well, very inspiring, very insightful.

You know, Nate just keep being you.

I'm Barack Obama and I don't think your palms are too sweaty.

The President.

As you'll see on this slide,

it was the coldest winter on record

and I knew that I had to pull that trigger

because my family didn't have enough oil to heat our stove ...

I'm Jordan. I'm a fart boy. LOL. I think Ryan is so cool,

but I'd never tell him because that'd be bad for my image.

I'm Natasha. I'm so weird.

I think I'll microwave some fish

and then not eat it for some reason.

I'm Chris. I can always wear whatever I want,

but Ryan has to change his shirt

because that looks too much like a swastika.

I'm Hannah, duh. I love to (bleep)

Ryan! You've been talking out loud this entire time.

What the (bleep) is wrong with you?

We've been inter-monologuing dude. Not outer.

That's when it all came crashing down.

I could tell I lost the respect of my coworkers,

even if I secretly did think they were ...

Yo, we can still hear you bro.

10 Min Abs and Cardio Workout | Slim Waist Routine - Duration: 10:54.

hey everyone my name is Kristia welcome back to my channel today I have

for you a 10 minute as in cardio workout that will target your waist slimming it

down and burn the stubborn fat so all you need is a mat and your sneakers go

grab them and let's get started this workout is 10 minutes long consisting of

40 seconds of ab exercises and 20 seconds of active rest doing cardio movements I

know it sounds crazy but take it at your own pace and modify if it gets too much

but also try to challenge yourself listen to your body

beer first warming up with some jumping jacks to get our blood flowing and to

get into the room so just breathe breathe breathe and enjoy the first 20

seconds of the exercise and smile

now get down to the math for bicycle crunches make sure to keep your abs

engaged shoulders away from your ears open your chest reach your elbow to the

opposite knee and alternate alternate alternate keep your abs engaged

lower back to the mat and imagine that there's a piece of fruit in between your

chest and your chin do not strain your neck and just keep breathing

okay few more and then we're coming back up for butt kicks

alright so come up and just jog and literally kick your butt

reach your ankle close to your butt getting your heart rate up just jog it jog it

we are butt-kicking enjoying the workout

now down to the mat again for double leg lift keep your lower back

engaged to the mat again chin away from your chest imagine that

there's a piece of fruit in there now if it's just too much for you place your

head back down to the mat hands underneath your tailbone and do the leg

lifts and always be engaging your abs keep your leg straight if you can you

are almost there I know this workout is really intense and

I'm so out of breath when I was filming this so I get you but always remember

your goals and do not ever give up

and next mountain climbers start on a plank position make sure to press away

from the mat and ears away from your shoulders eyes should be looking at the

edge of the mat and really drive one knee to your chest and then the other

there just keep climbing keep climbing you can do this I know it's getting

harder but remember why you clicked on this video and keep going now

down to the mat again for crunch with legs up again lower back into the mat

and lift using your abs not your neck do not strain your neck in this move and

you don't want to be hurting your neck you want to be working your abs and keep

breathing inhale down and exhale up okay again remember that piece called fruit

in between your chin and your chest come on you can do this guys

2 seconds and up again for high knees so just alternately bring your knees as

high as your hips as quickly as you can we're going them high high high high as

you can I know it's getting harder but stick

with it now back to the mat for Eagle crunch

start by crossing one leg on top of the other as if you're sitting cross-legged

arms together and reach your elbows your knees and release and crunching and

release repeat for 40 seconds this move targets the middle part of your abs now

if it's too hard or ahead and bend both knees into tabletop and just do a

regular crunch I know this move is really difficult to do but remember your

goals and also remember that you do not have to hurt your body to achieve this

goals that is why I have included the modification prompts all right back up

for running in place so just a run in place like that I'm going to run around

run around the room if you have space just get your heart rate up just have

fun with it and run around to the side run forward run back and now back down

to the mat again for a reverse crunch knees bent and facing the ceiling hands

beside you lift your legs up into the air with control

back down to starting do not swing your legs around please use your lower abs to

lift up and lose control as you lift and control as you go back down to starting

and keep the feeling you are targeting your lower abs so use your lower abs to

lift up do it with control

and back up again for jump ropes so just jump around and imagine you're playing

jumping ropes with your friends just have fun with it

okay and jump jump jump and smile okay next plank hip twist get into

forearm plank abs engaged touch to your right hip to the mat now Center and

touch your left hip to the mat alternating I know this is hard but this

is a free waist trainer here guys you don't need to buy one you can just do

one for free now add your thing inside take a break if you need to or get onto

your knees for a modified version keep your abs engaged and do not lift your

butt all the way up keep it under control

alright

right now half burpees then your hips jump both feet to the back of the mat

forming a plank position like so and track your feet back up close to where

your arms are and jump again to the back and repeat and breathe breathe breathe

now lie back down for a knee to elbow punch bring your knees into your chest

and open them up into a butterfly toes pointed together hands behind your ears

lift your head neck and chest up reach your elbow to your left knee from the

center make sure right elbow to your right knee and repeat this works you are

of these four this is another free waist trainer here okay and remember to not

strain your neck imagine that piece of fruit again

underneath your chin and your chest in between them and release now come back

up for squats squats you're like yay no more jumping well for now feet

shoulder-width apart and squat down many of your hips as if you're about to sit

on a chair keep your chest open knees aligned with your ankles

now single legged jack - lie down on your mat with one knee bent arms

extended behind you now crunch up reaching your arms over your legs and

the other leg is lifting up as you crunch switch the other side after 20

seconds I know this is really intense but I appreciate you for coming this far

into the video alright now we are switching now if it's it's too hard or

if it hurts your lower back please go ahead and bend both knees into tabletop

and just do a regular crunch we're still working your abs and this is not

cheating okay so go ahead and do the modification

okay now come back up to standing for side to side jump so simply just jump

just to one side and to the other alternating I actually got this move

from a hip hop class that I've been going to it's such a fun movie that's why I

included it here have fun with it now back onto the master for crunch place

your hands behind you for support bend your knees and bring them together lift

and extend out as you move your torso and then reach your chest and knees for

the crunch and then bring them out again in and out out and in keep your chest

open and do not hunched shoulders away from your ears tall spine to prevent

lower back pain if it's it's too hard place your feet down to the mat and do

the crunch keep breathing guys keep breathing

you're almost there almost almost almost there now stand back up for crisscross

jacks just like jumping jacks cross one leg in front of the other and jump back

to starting and cross the other leg in front of the other alternating arms

mirroring the feet and tighten your core here keep your knees and elbows soft and

How To Uncover Limiting Beliefs - Duration: 14:09.

Hey we're gonna interview my good friend Camille Kennard who is a licensed

clinical social worker. We're going to talk about how to uncover limiting

beliefs. How is it we can do some amazing and sometimes unexplainable things like

heal our own bodies by the power of our thought mother's intuition the law of

attraction can we really tap into our subconscious

mind can we really create our own realities it begs the question are we

novice gods

okay we have a repeat show here we have Camille Kennard if you caught her in the

last episode you got to learn about how to create happiness in your life now we

are going to talk about how to uncover limiting beliefs I love this because to

me it's all about belief what you believe matters what you believe

actually manifests and expands in your life and so I want you to really pay

attention to these beliefs that you had inside that you haven't really checked

for a while and there could be some beliefs that are limiting you so Camille

tell us a little bit about what limiting beliefs are and then how you how you

uncover what those are so I love that you're talking about this

because I think for a lot of us we create beliefs that hold us back from

our potential and we may not even know they're there it's kind of sometimes a

subconscious thing that people have created I'm not good enough or I can't

do that or I'm not smart and it may have even created them when they were younger

as a child and so being able to uncover those beliefs and recognize they're

there one of the first things that I do with my clients is I have them notice

when they are emotionally triggered in a negative way right so when they're angry

or sad or scared because those usually tell us a little bit of something about

what we believe so I have them kind of look at those times that they feel like

oh I feel angry every time someone tells me you know gives me advice or tells me

you know gives me an instruction I you know feel that and you probably seen

people where they maybe have a reaction to something and so if they have a

reaction like that for instance we look at huh well what could it be

that you're believing about yourself in that incident are you believing I'm not

smart enough what other people are smarter than me or I'm not good enough

what what is it that you could be telling yourself and a lot of times for

people they don't even know that they've been telling themselves something for so

long I actually went through this in my own life I had been telling myself when

I was a teenager that my body was not okay

the way it was and there's probably a lot of teenagers out there who have told

themselves something like this and I would compare myself and say I'm not as

good as other people I'm not worthy of love so these were some beliefs that I

had and I didn't really know how I could uncover those until I noticed that every

time I was with other people that I felt like we're shining at that moment I felt

less than and so I looked at that and I said what is it that I'm believing

that's the reason I'm feeling sad right now or that I'm feeling not good enough

because usually it's about us it's not about them we want to put it on the

other person and say it's it's their fault that I feel this way but that's

our defense mechanism so if we can look inside ourselves and say and not in a

shameful way but in a huh I'm just wondering what is that I'm believing

about myself right now that's causing this emotional reaction that I'm having

right now so that's a lot of what I do with my clients is help them look at

those beliefs uncover them and then when we know what the belief is we know how

to change it right but we need to first know what is that that you're believing

about yourself that is causing this distress this angst this discomfort in

your life okay now you are talking about kind of a do-it-yourself approach which

is really hard I think yeah to to to spot your own weaknesses I think is

really hard what is something that people can do that will help them help

them do this faster so I mean I'm a coach and a clinical social worker so I

feel like getting some support from someone else and it's a person that

cares about you and it could be a good friend but I would say a lot of times

it's someone who sees the good in you but also can give you some feedback on

oh did you notice that you get really upset when this happens and that may not

it may not be the best it come from your spouse or someone like that but maybe

coming from someone like a coach or someone that can kind of see outside of

the picture you know that's why I do a lot of times with my clients I just say

for instance huh huh I wonder what it is that you're believing in that and then

they told me oh I think I'm believing this about myself okay would you like to

continue believing that how does it feel to believe that belief is a choice very

important yeah and and it's a kind of an eye opener for people because they have

felt like a victim to their beliefs and their thoughts and they thought that

they're really real you know I have a client right now who said that she has

always felt like she hurt she's not okay because of her weight mmm it's not ok to

be the way she is and she has stacked up a belief on that that it's not okay to

be this way and that people treat her judge her because of that

mm-hmm and I said is that a true is that true or is that a belief and and we

started talking about it's a belief system that I'm not good enough because

of this situation about myself or that being how I am is not okay so it's

really exciting when people can start to see okay I have these things I've been

telling myself and what if I can stop believing what I think you know I have

this little sticker on my car that says don't believe everything you think

because if we do believe that everything we think then that causes a distress and

sometimes what we're thinking is what we call in psychology like a thinking error

or an irrational belief and so when people can recognize oh this is a belief

that I have that has been limiting me and holding me back you know I'm not

confident because I believe that how I am is not okay if I can let go of that

and I can say I'm beautiful the way I am I'm smart

it builds your confidence it builds your ability to do things I mean probably

both you and I as entrepreneurs there's beliefs what we still are working with

in being a friend of other people and what that's like you know so the camera

so if you can look at getting a coach or someone who can kind of help you see

this and the biggest thing I said my clients even with our first meeting is

just notice notice throughout your week when you get frustrated when that person

cuts in line when your spouse says something to

when your kids do something just notice your emotional reaction mm when you're

fearful when you're sad whatever that might be because there's an underlying

reason and a belief that you have that's creating that and some of our beliefs

are very scary they're very fearful right and if we can say oh that's just a

belief I can it's almost like I can take that out and not believe that anymore

I can believe something different it gives us a lot of freedom right and

empowerment but we can choose something different so I love helping my clients

do that yeah I remember I was on a coaching call where I was being coached

I had a coach helping me and she said huh Scott you have a problem with

selfishness and I said no I don't and I was so defensive the video I like you

know I hate it I hate selfishness it's the worst thing ever and she said yeah

that shows you have a problem you have a belief system about selfishness and

because she was an outsider looking in at my life who cared about me who you

know respected me she was able to see some of my belief systems that were

completely blind to me so getting a coach listening to listening to a friend

who is willing willing to tell you you know just like it is being very straight

with you it's really helpful to be able to see you know those blind spots and

then once you get those once you kind of figure out where your belief system is

maybe not as helpful or as constructive as you want you can kind of track back

to where that started and for me I had this belief story that started when I

was like 7 years old and it was amazing to figure out how that had started and

how I had repeated that story over and over and over again through the years so

you know getting a coach is just an awesome way to really really move

forward and I kind of removed some of those limiting beliefs yeah it really

opens things up and it kind of lets go of some of those barriers you've had you

know sometimes people will come in because I'm

therapist Anna coach so I do counseling as well as coaching and they'll say oh I

feel bad that I'm here in this seat because I have all these problems and I

say actually the people are in this seat are the ones who are able to look at

their lives and have insight and start making changes to feel better to

emotionally mentally feel better so you know getting that coach or that person

that can help guide you along I kind of think of it as their their companioning

you you know they're really helping you become your best self it's really

exciting I know it coaching has been a great thing for me to help me with some

things that have been limitations for me and and then when you know that these

aren't limitations anymore it's like ah I can do whatever I want I can start

that business I can you know have that relationship that I want to have

whatever it is that you guys are desiring you can have it and I think

that's really exciting okay to have one more question for you cuz I can't let

her go because she has such great insight for us but you talked about

recognize your emotions and and to pay attention to those I personally believe

that our motion our emotions are the keys to helping us to where we really

have our power our great power and and you know as we as we recognize these

emotions what do we do with them how can we use our emotions and do we have

control over our emotions do we want to suppress them do we want to have them

you know flourish what what are your thoughts on emotions because it sounds

like that's a big part of your practice yeah so we we do have some say in our

emotions but this is what I tell my clients and I've worked with children

and adults and I say everybody has emotions right we all have anger we all

have sadness we all have fear it's part of being human and it's okay right but

emotions are information so if I feel angry when I'm in in a line at the

grocery store and it's taking too long it's an information about me right if I

am fearful when I go to public speak in front of other people it's it's

information so I think it's really helping you guys to see that when you

have these emotions come up they're not bad it's what we do with the emotion so

it's what I do with my anger if I let my anger out in road rage probably not the

healthiest way to handle it but if I express my anger and say you know I'm

really frustrated and I'm upset about that that's okay to express what's going

on with you and a lot of times what I tell my

clients is think emotions are like the waves in the ocean right

sometimes they're big and then they go back down so our emotions are not facts

they come and they go and we may feel really angry or really scared at one

moment but then it goes I always feel scared before I speak in public but as

soon as I get out there and I start to connect the audience that goes away I'm

not really exciting to think of that these emotions are there for information

and it's what we do is the emotion so we're gonna have the emotion and that's

okay happiness sadness fear whatever it might be that's it the emotion is okay

it's what do we do with it afterwards that's constructive that's helpful to us

rather than being reactive we respond and we we notice it's kind of like we're

standing outside ourselves going huh I noticed I'm feeling sad or I'm feeling

angry what can I do tell myself right if there's a sadness or a grief maybe you

need some down time maybe you need a journalist maybe you need to you know

express the anger maybe it no it's a conversation there's things you can do

to work through your emotions without suppressing them or reacting does that

make sense yeah totally don't suppress them and make sure you check out the

other video that Camille and I have done that talks about how to create happiness

in your life because you really want to be able to express you want to feel life

in just the fullest fullest expression of life that you can

Should You ELIMINATE All Adverbs? - Duration: 4:54.

Oh my god, my voice sounds so weird for some reason

Should you eliminate all adverbs?

If you are a new writer starting out, the chances are you might have heard this advice where you should eliminate all adverbs

I have also heard this advice before from a more experienced writer

I sent her my prologue and my first chapter of my novel to get some advice

And her advice is that I should eliminate all adverbs because it makes me sound "lazy"

And when I heard this advice, I was so devastated because I freaking LOVE using adverbs

So I did a little bit of research to see if I really should eliminate all my adverbs

especially one very famous author, Stephen King

Stephen King says, and I quote:

"I believe the road to hell is paved with adverbs"

Which is quite a strong statement

Which is quite a strong statement his actual quote is a lot longer

But then I digged a little bit more, and I realized that

But basically it's very obvious that he dislikes adverbs

but then I digged [omg it's dug idiot -.-'''] a little bit more and I realized that

nowadays, a lot of writers are actually disagreeing with this advice

And because I love adverbs I'm gonna agree with those who disagree with this advice

So there are arguments saying that you should not delete all adverbs because it is a part of our language

Adverbs are part of our grammar and you have to use them if you want to speak the English language or like any language

You can't just delete a part of our language

In fact, if you use an adverb and you hear this advice and you try very very hard to somehow change it and delete it,

that will make it even more natural

Trust me, I've tried that, and it doesn't really work

So my advice for you, instead of eliminating all adverbs, eliminate all WEAK adverbs

What are weak and strong adverbs?

So basically if you use an adverb that describes a verb and they're basically meaning the same thing, that's a weak adverb

For example, "he screams loudly"

Screaming already means that it's loud, you don't have to add an adverb saying that it's loud

That would be an example of a weak adverb

However, I'm sure many of you have heard the famous title, 'Killing Me Softly'

Now that is good adverb, because 'killing' suggests that it might be violent, it might be painful and just overall very negative

But if you add the adverb, 'softly' it changes the entire meaning and maybe it becomes something gentle

So the next time when you write, don't eliminate all your adverbs

If you can, make them into a strong verb

For example, if you say "ran quickly," just say "you dashed"

or instead of saying that "he ate something hungrily" you say that "he devoured his meal"

It also depends on your personal writing style

If you use adverbs meaningfully and strategically, then of course you don't have to eliminate all of them

But if you use them like every two words then yes, there is a problem and you should delete the majority of them

If you really don't know if you should or should not delete some

You should go find an editor or a beta reader or a more experienced person to kind of help you

But overall just look at these things: does the adverb make the sentence stronger, or is it kind of repetitive?

Does it make the verb stronger or does it just mean the exact same thing?

So the next time you hear this advice, "eliminate all adverbs," agree that you should eliminate SOME but don't delete all

You should know what to delete and what to keep because adverbs are part of our language,

you cannot delete all of them

if you do, it might sound very weird, unless you are super super skilled in not doing it

And even Stephen King, who dislikes adverbs, uses them in his books

So take it with a grain of salt and just make sure what your own style is and make sure that you sound natural and not forced

That's all I have today, I hope you like this writing advice video

If you would like this video please give it a big thumbs up and subscribe to my channel because I update every Friday

Thank you so much for watching, guys, and I'll see you next week. Bye!

Cheat Day | Weight Loss Journey 2018 [Day 36] - Duration: 10:32.

hi everyone its Mieka's weight loss journey weight loss results day 36

I just made you guys a video and it didn't even record the whole thing it

just shut off so it was a little long so I guess that's a good thing so I have

bad news the bad news is I'm about to eat anything I want I've not had sugar

all the way since day 21 I apologize for being a bad example to everyone but I'm

gonna say something cool I don't know if you can see me good but this do you see

this I promise you this used to like you can see all my rolls before can you see

it is so loose I could actually wear this outside now it's a long it's like

it's like a t-shirt material but a long dress with pockets love it but it shows

my role so much but it doesn't it's like totally loose that's exciting

this is phat I'm losing fat like this was not like this you see that that's

all space so I'm eating whatever I want to get de you guys because I'm not

filling I don't know I just went to that's all I'm gonna say someone made me

feel really upset yesterday someone from my past made me feel so upset they're so

rude and rude people get on my nurse you're not my kind of person if you make

fun of people if you downgrade people's situations and

you're not offering to help them in any kind of way like I believe in treat

others how you want to be treated I really believe that like that's another

person you know another human being with feelings emotions and like why would you

want to make them feel bad intentionally you know I don't understand anyway I

think that and other things in life contributes to those of us that have

food addiction problems or we Binge eat or all that I think all that outside

force input on our choices we make and it's

not an excuse like I'm not even craving the things I'm about to eat today it's

really bad that I'm even gonna do this but I want to okay so that's what's

about to happen today and also I'm not happy about what happened here with the

weight and I'm not hung up on weight like them well I am but not exactly the

way it looks like my goal is not to do what I'm about to do today like that's

my goal I want to get to the point where I don't even do that like I just keep

eating healthy every day I have no sugar all these days like I know I have

discipline but I need to continue it in my life reverse my weight I'm gonna have

a lot of people out there judging that's okay because it's natural to look at

what people's doing and just think don't do it like it's not that easy for

everybody so oh one good thing I did my ketone it's dark it's kind of old it was

like an hour ago so you can't tell but it was like probably right here at 40 at

40 that's a good yesterday I ate the leftover peanuts from the other day I

had those peanuts I told you guys about I didn't even eat the little bag I

didn't know that so I had that at 12 then I had Oh on my way to work I have

four mozzarella sticks with marinara I know it's a big no-no I wanted it and I

don't feel like I did bad on food at all except for how much of my dinner I had

okay so the four months of other steaks is probably like 40 to 50 cards I had

forty to sixty carbs um I don't want to count stuff like I know it's definitely

in that range I don't want to have to count calories or carbs or any of that I

want to just be able to measure it in my mind and know that I did go for that day

the peanuts barely any probably ten to fifteen peanuts and I'm okay with

peanuts but I'm two people and I know that's a starchy

and starchy food so I did look at the grocery store yesterday for pistachios

and almonds man and then my mind wanted the honey glazed pecans but they didn't

have it I didn't get any much at all okay so dinner I had two pieces of baked

chicken thighs and I had probably a cup and a half of this mixture I made which

was chopped broccoli two bags of chopped broccoli half a bag of green string

beans I have four boys so there's my four boys of mine so I made a lot of

this vegetable I put it I like the creamy stuff I put half thing of cream

cheese a cup of pepper jack cheese and the little container of plain Greek

yogurt I just always throw that in there I

think it's protein so I try to add a little help to it so I mixed that up

even my ten-year-old liked it and he didn't want the vegetables I said yes

you're gonna have the vegetables so later that night I said did you like

your your vegetables he was like um you didn't want to say yes but I know you

liked it and I was like it's your mind telling you that you didn't like the

vegetables but he liked it um I learned from my mother I guess I take this on

from her either you eat or you're not hungry if you're hungry enough you'll

eat and so I don't cook my kids different meals I don't force them to

eat what they don't like like if you don't like eggs I don't make you but

you're gonna eat all the other stuff I'm not making two separate meals so they're

eating pretty healthy but I still buy them fast food sometimes especially days

where I'm not eating i buy them fresh food which is not good i know but i

don't buy like fries and stuff anyway there's no good way to say it I don't I

stood by fast food so that's what I ate and I had a a port the cup of cottage

cheese I'm okay with what I yesterday my standards it's okay exercise and ran

around the parking lot at work I showed you guys in the video before and I went

to the gym in the evening none of my kids want

come not cool I did 15 minutes on the elliptical I did the leg extensions the

hamish the sitting hamstring curls I did the abductor the adductor I did those

four machines four times ten to 20 reps well only 20 on my favorite I did that

four times ten to twenty reps and then I did the hip thrust and now in that one

room where I put the stepper I did that I did 15 reps 4 times and I held it like

I didn't go fast I held it at the top a lot that was a good workout then I did

some deadlifts my back still hurts I'm not stopping I'm gonna keep trying so I

get it right I might get one of my clients certified personal trainer I

might ask him to help me I don't know um and I did three sets of 30 seconds jump

rope and it was a good workout yesterday and the ITO was decent I ate too much

and I ate late I don't like to eat late I intermittent fasting from about 11 to

6:30 so let's just say 8 hours I got an eight-hour window I'm not gonna tell you

what the weight is yet I'm gonna tell you I'm about to eat whatever I want but

they 21 I ate whatever I wanted I wanted to cry this and that I was feeling so

disappointed I'm not disappointed in myself I'm very happy with myself

dang it there goes alarm okay man I hope this videos not too long so what I'm

gonna do my birthday's on Sundays that was my

goal um day 37 is Saturday today I'm not going to the gym enema eBay I have six

clients that's a lot oh my gosh and there's some stress in there I got to

hard styles that are just gonna stress me out because I don't know how to do

them but I'm gonna have to try to do them and I have four people come in that

it's tough I know how to do so six people i'ma work 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

non-stop most likely so I'm gonna eat man I'm gonna eat more than eight hours

- okay so this oh that's today this is today is the second let's say I might

have a cheat here but then Saturday and Sunday snake juice only mmm okay that

doesn't make it any better than I'm gonna cheat don't cheat it's bad man I'm

following people and they don't cheat they are beasts and they're killing it

and it's inspirational to me but I'm not there yet so not happy about the wait

but wait I'm not sad like I'm not depressed about this I'm not gonna cry

like I'm okay where I'm at right now um my mindset is not perfect where I

could just this is not easy let's just say this is not easy for me okay so yeah

I maintain the same weight probably because I ate too much

it hasn't digested and blah blah blah oh okay you guys I'm gonna cheat but then

I'm gonna go hard again and that's a cycle like I'm not gonna cheat and give

up I'm gonna cheat and keep going so not great dude but it is what it is and I

hope you do better than I'm doing today and I'll see you tomorrow I will end by

Going Beyond Your Top 5 is Powerful - Duration: 1:19.

I've been coaching for about two years as a certified coach and every time I

coach someone with their Top Five all I want to know is what their number six is.

It's all I can think about. I'm trying to pick and guess what it is, and for me

finding out that Relator was my sixth strength brought everything into focus

it's the first time a relationship building theme shows up in my

strengths and it really defined a lot of why I do what I do and how I do it. So as

you go beyond the five and it is so much more powerful to start to see everything

that you are across the spectrum of the thirty four themes, so I think doing that

for students early on in their college career gives them that sense of

self-awareness and understanding and allows them to step up in a way that they lead and

do their work. It's also really a helpful opportunity for them to see where other

people's themes show up in their list of thirty four, I think the conversations become much

more robust, so I love it, I live to coach for thirty four.

There's so much more to talk about and any opportunity to have to talk more and go

deeper with a student the better it is for them and the better it is for us.
