Waching daily Nov 26 2018

we...

we don't know shit

we don't know shit so we cannot tell you anything.

but, if we did know shit...

we want to ask you a question.

what's the one thing that everyone in the world wants

to feel f****** good

video we're gonna share with you a few ways that we have found real sustained

good feeling in our lives because it's you it's the pure you you with out all

the masks no matter what is happening around you there is still something that

is so stable that it's the awareness it's the all watching eye that is seeing

everything that is happening and it's accessible always it's essential and it

never goes anywhere we're just too busy sometimes I would say even most of the

time on the screen on the images on the screen we're too invested in that

everyone wants to feel good everyone wants to experience some sort of

happiness and the thing is that we think that the key to finding that exists in

something that we might get earned something outside of us or in these

distractions that we're talking about and we're gonna create again again the

same moments that we are disappointed when it's not there we're disappointed

when something is changing when something is not happening the way we

wanted it's always already been the easiest most direct state for us there's

no distance between us in it there's no process to undergo there's just the

removal of everything that seems to be blocking us from it that seems to be

distracting us from it and we just focus yeah you can even see it as a sharpener

right because the sharpener is always taking the layers that are blocking the

thing that actually puts the paint on creation we're letting this intelligence

we're letting this stream of life this beautiful source just come through us

without blocking it without like overthinking of something what I'm gonna

say how it's gonna come up and there's just flow happening by itself and how do

we know when we're connected to that that place how do we know when we're

aligned with that higher guidance with that power that's really always

orchestrating everything anyway when we feel good but really good like we feel

that this goodness this this space of absolutely freedom is accessible it's

already here now without having an influence or like depend on something

else yeah it's an authentic good feeling it's it doesn't depend on any

stimulation on any situation from which we can derive some sort of little

feeling of happiness which only lasts for five seconds anyway and then we're

looking for our next hit mm-hmm look at a baby for example look at just

the way that nature moves the animals and the plants and how everything is in

a dance together it's just being it's just being in simplicity and it looks

fun it looks happy we always do we always feel like we have to do something

like we have to do this to accomplish that we have to to go there to feel that

and when we really delete all of this and just remember that from being

everything comes to form then it's just really easy okay we can feel good by

connecting with ourselves but how what is common to all of the ways that each

one of us finds this space is excitement hmm right it's doing that thing that

lights us up it's putting ourselves in those situations that make us feel this

energy is exhilaration our excitements are the communication with the soul that

is Trenton us this information that this is what we

need to do this is what we really want to do right now from a soul level from a

broad level that shows us if this is what excites us then this is where we

need to go this is the path it's always showing us our feeling state is always

showing us how aligned or how off of alignment we are with that truth with

what we actually are at our core we're so filled with information that

it's not collaborating with the existence of our true self where we

don't feel like we truly feel deep down or we're so far off of our true natural

state that it's so foreign to us and we never even think it's possible we never

even think of it that we could actually feel good for sustained amounts of time

it's our conditioning it's everything we think it's everything we operate on it's

all the thoughts that we're having that have us limited into this box squeezed

into this drawer of seeing myself as this or that we're going to share how we

reprogrammed ourselves to be more aligned to our spirit to be more aligned

to the inspiration that is flowing in every moment that is shown that is

visible to us in every second it's a reforming of everything we think about

ourselves and about reality and this is where we're doing the work but not as

something that is exhausting or something that will take us a long time

or will happen in a long process but more of really seeing where we still

believe in something to be true because our belief systems are what's happening

around us is what we see we we only see our beliefs and thoughts about what is

reality so it's always important to create this little space between us and

our beliefs and what we think about the world because how often do we really ask

ourselves Who am I Who am I when we ask that question

and we get closer and closer not to an answer but to the path where we're

actually starting to feel what we truly are deep down we're actually shedding

what we're not when we ask ourselves Who am I

the thing that will come up to us first is the thing that we are not we build up

this person build up this personality but it's not our true self

because it's it's all parts of society this is the first thing that we saw this

is the first thing that we believed in so finding that place of truth of your

true self that feels so good no matter what it's getting rid of all of those

parts of ourselves that we may think are us we may have built up an

identification around them and we may have developed attachments towards them

but all they do is limit us and we're so scared to lose them sometimes but it's

only through letting them go that we actually find what we've been looking

for this whole time and maybe it will seem to us like pain like something that

is really painful for us to to share because we've been so identified with

this person that everything that will show us when we can detach more is

actually painful for us so many of us think that we are our thoughts and the

first step is really breaking that identification and seeing that we create

the thoughts and if the thoughts have no existence apart from my giving it that

momentary force of creation that is my inherent sentient power if you really

see it a thought is actually a power it's actually a creation power it's

where we think something it comes to creation it creates itself from the

power of your thoughts so for example if I think that I'm not good enough if I

think that I am not worthy or something then the reality will reflect the same

thing that I think of myself so it's very important for this process is to

begin to develop this presence this presence of mind this focus this

concentration we're always seeing what our mind is producing how we are

labeling our reality how we're describing and giving a definition to

what's happening right now and in the future and in the past and we're always

building up the story with continuity that is what these thoughts feed on we

can sit with the way that we speak to ourselves to one another but we can

really see the language that we choose for example I can't or it's impossible

or maybe good enough yeah I cannot do that it's always limiting language yes

always like this self-defeating automatic pilot that's just automatic

commentary in our heads but we give it this it's power we give it its ability

to actually have an influence over our lives and actually create with that

energy of thought which with that power of thought creates something out of

those unconscious babbling characters that we think are us so we can really

pay attention first to what we say first to our language even through the

language of our thoughts what kind of words do we use do we use uplifting and

and joyful words or are we using down really low vibration words like you give

the example what is the main sentence that you use to describe yourself or

describe the situation that you're currently experiencing talking about in

terms of me as this entity that has to fight for its survival always making

comparisons and it's always labeling everything and everyone it's getting

definitions to everything every freaking thing calculating calculating and

planning without us even noticing over planning and over thinking enough with

that shit yeah that's it if we want to make a

really deep profound change in our life if we really want to achieve what we

really want because

stop complaining we gotta stop the behavior that we used to hold on so

tightly until now so one exercise that I would really recommend for getting deep

into this and starting to remove these layers and that is really to ask

ourselves who is the one thinking this thought and we can do it everything that

we do we can do it like who's the one who is brushing the teeth who is it that

is eating who is it that he's walking and that way we're taking the focus away

from the objects of experience away from the thoughts away from the imaginary

situations away from the everything that's moving and changing and put it on

the one that isn't changing the awareness that has always been a viewer

of everything so the more and more we ask this question who is the one who is

who is the one who is we can start to feel this feeling and we would like to

hear from you we would like to read your comments about it like what did you

experience try it for a week try it for a day and share with us because we'd

really love to hear from you we always love the transformation that everyone's

going through and we know how each one is unique and each one is exciting and

so we'd love to read your comments and remember to subscribe and like this

video and there's gonna be a lot more to come

Are you managing your miracle? | Gamechanger | Pastor Steven Furtick - Duration: 50:41.

hey don't start clicking off I promise we're gonna get to the preaching in just

a moment but I'm excited about this this is a very special tradition at Elevation

and we want to speak to all of you who call our church home especially our

extended family our eFam around the world because once a year we have a special

series it's really more than a collection of teachings it's a faith

experience for all of the people who are part of our ministry at Elevation and

this year our theme is Gamechanger I think one of the most exciting things

that God is doing in our ministry is to open the doors of our ministry beyond

our walls what I mean by that is we are amazed at the thousands and thousands

and thousands of you who are letting us know that you're impacted by this

ministry in another zip code in another state in another country maybe

eventually on another planet but what I wanted to mention to you is that you can

be a part of this beyond just consuming many of you have been blessed by God to be

a blessing and I wanted to ask today would you be willing during this special

time of year to make a one-time donation to the ministry or maybe partner with us

on a monthly basis through recurring giving I believe God could use your gift

to enable this ministry to continue to reach to continue to break paradigms to

continue to lift up Jesus and I wanted to ask you personally to go to

elevationchurch.org and you can see the ways to give there but most importantly know

that we feel a tremendous sense of responsibility to minister the Word of

God not only to you but to challenge you to partner with us in reaching people

for the gospel I believe your gift today could be a game-changer so don't put it

off right now elevationchurch.org you can find all of the details I hope you

enjoy this message and thank you for being a part of the family I want to

share with you from a scripture that really demonstrates something that

I think is difficult to do in our lives but will be so helpful to us we're in a

season called Gamechanger it's our year end series we're taking a moment to pause

reflect and respond to God's goodness in our lives and so from the scriptural

foundation today I want to help you see something that I think will help you to

carry forward with you into the next season of your life momentum for what

God has already done is something significant and what he wants to do is

even greater and I believe that I believe that with all of my heart for

myself and my family and for you and your family and for our church and so

with that spirit of faith today let's go to the Word of God Joshua chapter 4

verses 1 through 9 and as I read this story to you over the next few moments I

want you to pay attention to the details of it okay because on the surface this

story is really very simple the people of Israel are crossing into the Promised

Land they haven't fought any battles yet but

it's already theirs because God has promised to give it to them so they're

coming to realize what God has already revealed and he showed it to them for

many generations but now they're coming into that moment where they're having to

actually believe that what God spoke in their lives and what God spoke that they

haven't seen come to pass yet is about to happen and so I think this is an

appropriate scripture for for where we are as a church and maybe for where you

are as well and I pray that God will help me deliver it today are you excited

I'll be honest it's not very convincing but I am I'm excited enough for all of

us so we'll do it anyway Joshua chapter 4 verse 1 when the whole nation to

finish crossing the Jordan the Lord said to Joshua choose 12 men from among the

people one from each tribe and tell them to take up twelve stones from the middle

of the Jordan from right where the priests are standing and carry them over

with you and put them down at the place where you stay tonight so Joshua called

the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites one from each tribe and said

to them go over before the Ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan each

of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder according to the number of

tribes of the Israelites to serve as a sign among you in the future when your

children ask you what do these stones mean tell them that the flow of the

Jordan was cut off before the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord when it crossed the

Jordan the waters of the Jordan were cut off these stones are to be a memorial to

the people of Israel forever so the Israelites did as Joshua commanded them

they took 12 stones in the middle of the Jordan according to the number of the

tribes of the Israelites as the Lord had told Joshua and they carried them over

with them to the camp where they put them down Joshua was set up the twelve

stones that had been in the middle of the Jordan at the spot where the priests

who had carried the Ark of the Covenant had stood and they are there to this day

would you look at the person next to you and give them my sermon title tell them

it's mine to manage look at your other neighbor I know they

were your second choice but they're important to the Lord as well and tell

them it's mine to manage it's mine to manage how many of you have children how

many of you have children who have a phone or an electronic device with a

data plan it's a big debate around my house when will our children be old

enough to be entrusted with data real First World problems I get it but you know

parenting is challenging it's a great privilege but I find it to be

challenging and I find it to be exhilarating and I find it to be

exhausting and one woman wrote me on YouTube and said I think you had kids

too soon you're always complaining about them and I prayed for her in tongues

but you know the the more of a privilege you see something to be the more of a

responsibility you feel toward it so complaining isn't always a sign that

you don't care you're not grateful you have an attitude of gratitude gratitude

is not an attitude gratitude is an action and then the action of being

grateful leads to a feeling of gratitude but God would not command you to be

grateful if gratitude was a feeling because you can't command a feeling

doesn't work that way God instead instructs you to praise Him

one psalmist said it this way he said this is the day that the Lord has made I

will rejoice and be glad in it this is the day that the Lord has made I will

rejoice and be glad in it oh this is the day this is the day that the Lord has

made hey this is the day this is the day that the Lord has made now who made it

who made it now I will rejoice I will rejoice and be glad in it so God made it

but I get to manage it touch somebody say it's mine to manage and what I do

with this day is up to me so when I when I gave my oldest kid his phone I said I

wrapped it it was his birthday and I wrapped it and I said this phone has

data and this phone is is yours not really

for your birthday I am giving you my phone to use which means that this phone

the contents thereof and the communications that shall be initiated

thereby are under my jurisdiction

one good parent clapped when I said that

and I dare you to put a passcode on that phone that I don't know I dare you to

put a passcode on that phone you change your passcode and I will change your

destiny but it was a principle in the modern age of stewardship that is it's

really the same principle you know that God has been trying to teach us all

along that it's His to give and it's ours to manage and the moment you begin

to understand that about your life your your money y'all don't like this sermon

already this is the motivational part takes take some of the pressure off to

realize that it's His to give it's mine to manage say it out loud it's His to give

mine to manage so I didn't make the day but I will rejoice in it so He gave me

the day and now it's mine to manage that's a really powerful distinction to

know that there are certain things that God has given you under your

jurisdiction one of those things is your joy I will rejoice and be glad in it and

so this is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it

regardless of if the traffic is congested I don't manage the traffic but

I am I am hahaha I like it this way my joy is my

job no matter what happens when I get to my job no one can steal

my joy because my joy is not under anyone elses jurisdiction see what I'm

saying it's mine to manage and one time I made

the mistake of saying that somebody stole my joy and the sphere of the Lord

really corrected me on that like they stole your joy there your joy is not

their job and if they sol it you should have done a better job locking the door

so they couldn't get to it you need a better security system if someone else

can steal your joy then you've got your joy hiding out there in the open where

anybody can see it and snatch it and so this principle emerges in the book of

Joshua can I tell you a little bit about this historic incident I'm so thankful

for the gift of your attention today I find it a great privilege that you would

lean in to the Word of God and allow these words to be spoken I think it's

amazing I want to make it worth your while I want to tell you a bit about

this passage of Scripture it's really amazing what God is doing for his people

here because the nation of Israel is under new management under new

management and this this this promise that God began making generations ago is

now about to come to pass this this land that they're going to possess is is

going to become theirs but it's really God's but it's theirs it's theirs to

possess but it's gods to give so it's God's and it's theirs and Joshua is the

person God is using to bring it to pass now Moses was the leader that brought

the people out of Egypt where they spent several centuries enslaved to the

systems of that nation and now they're no longer just wandering around in the

wilderness like they did under Moses for over 40 years but they're coming into

their own land they're coming into their own spacious place they're coming into

their own homes and they're coming into their their own community that God has

been in the process of forming it's gonna require a different mindset

because up until this point in their life

they have existed on the miracles that God provided like God gave them manna

when they were in the wilderness because they didn't have quail like they had in

Egypt that their masters would give them to feed them but now they're coming into

their own and the manna that used to fall from the sky it was miraculous how

it came down they would just walk out their front door and there it would be

Amazon Prime on the doorstep that the the drone would drop it off and they

would have enough for the day but the thing that's about to happen to them in

just a moment is that they're gonna cross over into this land where the

manna is going to stop coming and they are going to have to learn to manage in

a different way so they're going to have to mature in their mindset and I guess

one way that you could say it is they are they're having to learn how to

manage their miracle and this is something you don't hear taught enough

in settings like these because we often tell you to expect a miracle and to

believe for a miracle and to receive for a miracle but how many know that you are

responsible to manage your miracles I'll prove it to you from the text cuz you're

acting kind of suspicious and I don't blame you it sounds weird because a

miracle is something that God does it's something that God gives but the the

cooperation between heaven and humanity has always been this it's God's to give

but it's mine to manage it's my Father's to give but it's mine to manage and so

God is bringing his people through the the Jordan River how many of you have

something God has brought you through this year did God bring you through it

I'm gonna give you 12 seconds to praise him for something that he brought you

through

we all have a Jordan that we came through and the interesting thing about

the Jordan River is it's mentioned a lot in Scripture but not because it's a big

body of water it's only like 15 yards wide at its widest points and it's not

the deepest body of water that's not what makes it significant what it

symbolizes gives it its biblical significance in that the people of God

saw the Jordan River as representing transitions and new beginnings you see

it a lot in the prophetic record like Elisha got Elijah's mantle in the Old

Testament and he crossed the Jordan River it's not a big river but it's

symbolic it's significant not because of it's size not because of it's scope

physically and not because of its geographical implications but because of

what God did there now they're standing at this place this body of water and God

does something amazing He does it in a very particular way he tells the priest

to stand in the middle of the Jordan with the Ark of the Covenant that's

where they kept the Ten Commandments they represented the presence of God and

when the priests put their foot in the water the water stopped flowing to

provide passageway for the people to cross through God did not carry His

people across the Jordan He enabled His people to cross over

this is how a lot of us live our lives waiting for God to carry us over

something when He is waiting for us to cross you see me Def Leppard it is true

my kids one time when they were real little we were in a public restroom and

they were washing their hands and they had their hands out like this and

nothing was happening because I realized they were used to the faucet being

automatic and it wasn't an automatic faucet and I watched and I stood back to

see how long they would stand there with their hands under the faucet waiting for

something to happen without turning the faucet on and finally in compassion I

told I told my oldest child I said this is not an automatic faucet I know that

you're used to the water just coming on like this see when you've had manna

falling out of the sky for so many years you're used to just something falling

down out of it just because you put your hand there but it's going to require an

action it's gonna require so the water didn't stop flowing until the people start

walking and when they start walking the water stopped flowing and people pass

through and the priest stood in the middle of the Jordan which must have

taken faith for them to stand in the middle of the Jordan not knowing if it

was gonna continue to pile up in a heap or if it was gonna flood over them but

the leaders had the faith to stand in the middle of the Jordan isn't that

significant that it said it was in the middle of the Jordan isn't that the hardest

thing in life to do is to manage the middle because I understand that God has

made me promises and that He knows the end from the beginning but I don't I

don't know the end from the beginning I know the plans I have for you declares

the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and a

future well I'm glad that God knows the plans He had for me but I don't know the

plans He has for me and so the

challenge isn't believing that He knows how this is going to end my challenge is

standing in the middle and believing that what He spoke is indeed significant

it's different when you're in the middle it's a lot different it it was it was

weird a few a few weeks ago they had a baptism testimony on the on the screens

and I love the baptism stories do you love those stories that they tell if it

was your child you might love it you know what I'm saying like if it was

somebody that you knew and loved I I try to always picture like I always picture

if that was my brother or if that was my sister and when I hear somebody share

a testimony I always listen for the details and one thing that I noticed

that they normally share in their story they'll share a sermon that where God

spoke to them and a few weeks ago the young lady sharing the sermon that she

shared shared a sermon that I remember preaching and thinking that it was the

worst sermon that I ever preached because it's different when you're doing

it now it was a year later and she was talking

about that story that sermon and in her story she referenced that sermon as a

turning point in her relationship with God and here's what I remember I

remember how I felt while I was doing it and I realized that even though I felt

nothing while I was preaching it she was sitting somewhere in that room maybe not

even in the room where I was preaching it and she was she was having a

completely different experience hearing it than I was preaching it but it's

different when you're in the middle of it

huh it's different when you're raising your kids believing that they're

receiving the values that you're trying to impart to them because when you are

teaching your kids responsibility they do not thank you and recognize you for

being a voice of wisdom and an encouraging force of good in their lives

it's different when you're in the middle of it and see the reason that we can

sometimes look at the biblical miracles and experience them and celebrate them

is because we know how they end but it's different when you're in the middle of

it it's it's different when you're in the middle of it when you're having to

stand in the middle of something and say no my God I know that you're faithful

and I know that you're good but I don't feel that you're faithful and I don't

feel that you're good right now that's called a sacrifice of praise that's

where you have to dig somewhere deeper than your feelings or your knowledge or

your certainty or your circumstance or your bank account God show me how to

manage the middle I have a hard time with that I don't have a hard time being

excited about the beginning and I don't have a hard time celebrating the end but

this middle teach me how to manage the middle oh one of my best friends pastors

a big church and they had three years where they didn't grow in fact they they

went backward I said what was the problem in those three years when you

didn't grow he said middle management we got so large the organization got so big

that there was a layer of people in the middle who started to block the values

that were a part of the organization in the early days and it was middle

management it wasn't the people that were executing

the job it wasn't the the the vision had changed it was what happened in the

middle that almost cost us the momentum of what God was doing I

wonder is that how it happens in our lives

I wonder if sometimes the reason that joy stops flowing the reason that faith

stops growing the reason that sometimes we lose our sense of perspective about

who God is is it's not the end it's not the beginning it's middle management we

don't know how to manage the middle we don't know how to deal with Monday so we

shout good on Sunday but I need a sermon I need a M.M.A. sermon I need some Monday

Morning Application I need something to help me manage this middle because I'm

not fighting the devil on Sunday morning I'm fighting him on Tuesday at 3:37

so the key to this Joshua says take 12 stones 12 stones January February March

April May June July August September October November December 12 months

twelve stones twelve tribes twelve disciples twelve everybody say twelve

take twelve pile them up and in the future when your children ask you what's

up with these stones or like my kids ask me what's up with these cassette tapes I

still got some when your children ask you tell them what the Lord did tell them

tell them take them to show them the stones and tell them we didn't know if we were

gonna make it through but God did something only he could do and we made

it somebody shot I made it tell the person next to you you have no idea what

I've been through

look at them right in the eye and say and God brought me over and look at them

one more time and say how about you ask them have you been through anything

imagine this imagine this they come through the Jordan let's play the story

out for a moment they come through the Jordan God brings them through they set

up the stones God does a great miracle they go on to fight battles but they

sent up the stones to remember what God did in that moment it's very beautiful

and then they go forward into the land and they they fight they fight many

battles and God gives them many victories but every once in a while

maybe they come back with their kids and they show him the stones because they

let the stones in Gilgal and then they moved on to conquer Canaan and you know

how it is when when somebody is reflecting on something and they get

nostalgic and maybe maybe the parents start telling the children we didn't

know if we were gonna make it Joshua was our new leader and we had

never we'd never been this way before and he told us he told us that if the

priest would stand in the middle the waters would stand at attention until

the people passed through so we hurried through as fast as we could we ran

through the Bible says in Joshua chapter 4 verse 21 they hurried through they

didn't have a whole lot of faith just enough to get through it they were worse

they were dancing through the middle they were running through the middle let

me tell you something when you got the devil chasing you sometimes all you can

do is get through it you don't look flashy you're not shooting you're not

flossing you're not doing nothing but running for your life so they got

through it but they said God got us through it that's amazing

amazing cuz we didn't know it was amazing and the ark was there and it represented the

presence of God oh I wish you could have been there son it was just so amazing

and we didn't know if we were gonna be able to do it but we did God did it

it wasn't us okay God did it okay and they and they say that and then so so maybe a

few years go by maybe they go back to the place

again and they look at the stones but you know

maybe maybe the stone are they're still there they haven't gone anywhere but the

story starts to get lost a little bit and maybe a few years later they they're

telling their children they're like oh yeah it's pretty cool I mean we got through it

I mean God did it but we were the ones who had to walk because if you know like

God didn't God didn't carry us through but what we got through it and then a

few more years passed and maybe they're telling their kids again making another

trip and they're telling ya those stones they're cool Joshua made us get him out

the middle of the Jordan it was it was weird we were ready to move on

but Joshua let me tell you how I know that the story stopped being told

because when you get to the end of Joshua's life you read in Judges chapter

2 verse 10 just this verse just this verse I want to show you and I want you to

think about the space between when Joshua led the people through the Jordan

and when the next generation arose it says that after that whole generation Joshua's

generation had been gathered to their ancestors another generation grew up who

knew neither the Lord nor what He had done for Israel Joshua's generation

set up the stones the next generation didn't even know the story what happened

somewhere along the way between Joshua chapter 4 and Judges chapter 2 they stop

telling the story something changed about the story somewhere in that space

and God if I'm just preaching this for one person help me to do it now because

they have been telling themselves the wrong story and now their faith is

feeling feeble and now their worship has been weakened and they are in a cycle of

the dependence on false gods because they stopped telling the story

the story of salvation is this I was lost and dead in my sin I had no hope in

myself I could not save myself I could not help myself I could not lift myself

I would not have made it if He had not reached out and with a mighty hand and

an outstretched arm He died for me He came into my life He intersected me at

the point of my sin and while I was still a sinner Christ died for me

why are you screaming because I've got a story that didn't start with me

it started with the mercy of God

and the enemy doesn't want you to tell this story see he wants he wants you to

lose your testimony they kept the stones the stones are still there to this day

but they stop telling the story you know you can have all of the the monuments of

religion but loose your relationship with God you can have all the stones in

the world you can come to church you can you can still live a life that's between the lines but if

the truth were told today some of us have stopped telling the story

we've lost our our testimony you have a testimony there are things that God has

done for you that only He could do and nobody else can tell it for you and

nobody else can tell it like you it can happen it can happen in your own heart

it can happen in a generation it can happen within a lifetime it could

happen within three years you can actually have God do something amazing

for you and have the stones to prove it some of you are sitting next to the

woman that you asked God to give you but now you want out of your marriage the

problem isn't your marriage it's your management

I'll go back here this I'm not scared to say this stuff we need to manage our

miracles God has been good to us God has been more than enough He is a provider

He is Jehovah-jireh He did bring you through He did bless you He did make a

way He is more than enough He is El Shaddai He is a great king

He is a good father

touch somebody say manage your miracle it's God's to give but it's yours to

manage

I told Elijah if you crack the screen I'm not replacing it it's yours to

manage if you crack the screen or if you here's here's what happens to me let

me tell you something sit sit down let's talk I sometimes I I stop telling

myself the testimony because to me sometimes it seems it seems small

you know something happened between when they cross the Jordan I don't know

exactly what it is I think there's evidence to support this

hypothesis they fought a lot of battles between Joshua chapter 4 and Judges chapter 2 and

I wonder if the battles became bigger in their minds than the blessings and I

wonder if they started telling themselves the stories that centered

around their struggles rather than God's sovereign hand that saw them through the

struggles I wonder if they got in survival mode to the point that they

stopped telling the story and I wonder if when they saw God do all these other

things I wonder I wonder if they just didn't go back to the stones they were

they were placed on the bank of the Jordan back where they started and

sometimes when you don't go back where you started and remember what God did

where you started you lose perspective when you get where

you're going oh man I I feel so guilty for chin this point it's so easy for me

to get caught up and consumed in my own convenience and my own drama my own

insecurities my own dysfunction and a lot of times I'll be honest with you I

don't share what God is doing in my life because it doesn't seem big cuz I can

compare it to something else and it seems small it seems small like these

stones you know at one point in your life you're really grateful for it but

then at some point it can lose the significance

I was asking somebody the other day if I could hear their testimony and it's a

church word right testimony people don't really talk like that except in courts

in church you know what I mean like it's just a real churchy thing to say and

they were like well when I was 12 and they were 53 I was like not that

testimony you can't fight today's devils if you don't have today's

testimony there needs to be a current work that God is doing in your life yep

yes He saved me and I want to talk about that but what is He doing in my life

today another generation that knew not the Lord nor what He had done for Israel

this is this is your testimony you know it can be a tiny testimony it doesn't

have to be a big rock you can fight the devil with a little rock ask David you

can fight a big giant with a little rock if you know how to throw it I said you

can fight depression with a little rock if you know how to throw it you can

fight discouragement with a little tiny little tiny testimony

well I don't have a big testimony I've pretty much all my life I've been serving the

Lord I never have never was on drugs and women and running round I

pretty much grew up in that come on man you don't have to have a meth lab in your

garage to have a testimony you don't have to be fresh off death row

to have a testimony you don't have to have 14 children by 14 women to have a

testimony a testimony it can be the smallest thing like a few weeks ago I was

getting ready to come out and preach and I want to tell you this cuz cuz Joshua

said tell them tell them what God did for you tell them tell them about it

preach it teach it you overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your

testimony there is power in your personal testimony so a few weeks ago I was

getting ready to preach I didn't feel like preaching oh I love the Lord I believe

His Word and I believe He's coming again I just didn't feel like preaching

on that Saturday night weather was nasty I didn't feel like preaching so I was

having a little pity party I hate to tell you this but I was I was being so

childish and but then I had this moment I was like FaceTime one of your friends

and get them to pray for you because the service was about to start and so the

staff was out doing staff stuff so they couldn't come pray for me so I was going to FaceTime

one of my friends who didn't have a Saturday night service and he didn't

answer apparently Judah Smith had better things

to do than pray for his friend pray that the Carolina Panthers will

wreak havoc upon the Seattle Seahawks today to punish him for not being there

in my time of FaceTime need you don't want to FaceTime Furtick I hope you go

down today royally then I call Craig Groeschel that's my pastor that's my guy

and he didn't answer and he always answers he didn't answer and I was

running out of time cuz I needed to get out there and preach so I said this

little pitiful prayer you know not the kind I pray in front of people I was

like oh Lord

since nobody wants to pray for me I'm always praying for everybody else I

guess I'll go on preach I pray for myself and I start praying you know this

real mumbly grumbly grumpy prayer a little bad attitude prayer a little like

kids going to make up the bed fine that kind of prayer have you ever had that

level of faith where it's like fine faith fine God

fine I'll pray for myself so I start praying Father in the name of Jesus out loud I

say that when I said Father in the name of Jesus the moment I got it out of my

mouth Father in the name of Jesus my phone rang my phone hardly ever rings my phone

I mostly communicate by text I don't do a lot talking on the phone and my phone

rings and it hardly ever rings it never rings at that time of day and it said

No Caller ID

but I'm not making this up I say I should answer this I say hello this deep

voice comes on the phone what are you doing

the voice of none other it could only be Bishop TD Jakes that's like my favorite

preacher since I'm like this big since I started wanting to be a preacher this

was my favorite preacher and here he is calling me what are you doing and I was

like hey Bishop JakesI was just going out to preach for the Saturday night service he said oh well

since this is a bad time let me just pray for you before you go

out there and preach real quick Father in the name of Jesus anoint him with your spirit and fill him with

your wisdom give him words to say from Heaven I'm telling you I'm telling you I'm

not waiting until something to me I need to fight the devil sometimes with a

phone call there are little things that God has done for me moments where I

called His name and there was nobody there to answer and then all of a sudden

something from heaven with no caller ID and God reached out and God dried my

tears and God strengthened me and God upheld me with a mighty hand

and an outstretched arm

you need to tell these stories you need to tell these stories stop telling

yourself the story that nobody cares about you and that you're alone and that

it doesn't matter another generation who didn't know what the Lord had done for

Israel because they stopped telling the story and when you stopped preaching the

gospel to yourself and reminding yourself that the Son of God accepted

and chose you and brought you out of Egypt and brought you out of sin and

brought you through the Red Sea and brought you through the Jordan and

brought down the Jericho walls and brought you out of bondage and brought

you out of fear

please hear me when you stop telling that story you lose your strength the

children of Israel went through 15 cycles of disobedience to God and not

only did they go through 15 cycles of disobedience to God through 15 different

judges but they went through 420 years of dependence

on gods that could not save them because they stopped telling the story

what story have you been telling yourself what story have you been

telling your children what story you know what I was thinking what story is

our church telling in this day because you know God has done amazing things for

us but sometimes it really rips my heart out when I see a campus pastor giving an

invitation in our church and people get up and start leaving so they can beat

traffic out the parking lot while somebody's soul is on the line

that really hurts my heart because when we started the church we weren't

starting the church to have a Christian entertainment center where we could give

people a little anecdote and a little song and a little goose bump and they

could get to lunch is that the story we're telling that we gathered together

when it's convenient and we consume spiritual food but we never contribute

this is why I think it's important that we have traditions like our our year end

offering because God is inviting a new generation to tell the story and it's is

so vital in this moment that you realize that the gospel is God's story but it's

ours to manage we are stewards of the story that God is telling in the world

today what a privilege it is come on can we praise Him for the privilege

do you know the hymn this is my story

this is my song praising my Savior all the day long this is my story this is my song

praising my Savior all the day long

stand to your feet I want to pray with you now you're in

the middle of a story right now that God is telling through your life you're in

the middle of it the priest stood in the middle the stones came from the middle

everything good that God does in our life comes from our ability to recognize

it in the middle and sometimes what happens I know you feel like you've come

to the end you feel like um is this for you you feel like you get to the end of

something you get to the end of your own strength you get to the end and

sometimes the season shifts in your life and and something is always ending as

something else is beginning the Jordan is both it's it's their exodus from the

wilderness and it's their entrance into Canaan

it's happening all at the same time right and so you think you're at the end

of something your ability to manage that that emotion in the middle of it

determines what happens next in your life remember this Moses died on Mount

Nebo looking at the promised land Joshua led the people into the land that God

had promised Moses the difference wasn't what God had promised God promised Moses

and Joshua the same result the difference wasn't the promise the

difference was how they managed the miracle in the middle of it God gave

Moses a miracle He parted the Red Sea but Moses stayed stuck in what other

people said Moses managed according to his fear not his faith God gave Joshua

the same promise and Joshua said even in spite of our fear even in spite of our

failures even in spite of the fact that there are more out there than there are

in here we're going forward in the name of the Lord with His presence as our

banner and we are standing in the middle and we will stand in the middle until

everything that God has spoken comes to pass

I wonder is there anybody who's willing to get in the middle of it and take your

stand and declare I will see the goodness of the Lord in my generation in

my life that's what I want to pray for you about and if you lift your hands

right now I'll do it because the Lord is in this moment the Lord is very present

even in your pain and I believe that God is even present in some of the mistakes

that you've made Lord right now would you visit the heart of each of your sons

and daughters with a reminder maybe like those 12 rocks that the people piled up

give us a rock of remembrance today that we can build on the firm foundation of

your faithfulness the victory is yours to give but it's mine to manage God

remind me of the responsibility that You have given me and teach me to lean on

Your grace as I do give me the faith to stay standing in the middle with the

waters all around me and to worship you in this moment

with our heads bowed and our eyes closed I wonder is there somebody here

today who needs to receive the grace of God for the salvation of your soul the

forgiveness of your sin I wonder is there someone here today who needs to

begin a relationship with God or maybe you want to reconnect in that

relationship with God you've been feeling for a long time like

you're far from Him but it's not true He's near and if you call on His name He

is in this moment and He longs to come and live inside of you He longs to allow

you to follow Him even when you don't know what's next

it's very it's very simple what the Bible says about salvation it is by

grace that you are saved through faith it's the gift of God it's not of works

so that no one can boast that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is

Lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead you will be

saved that's the promise of God doesn't

require good works you can't stack enough stones to climb your way to

heaven it doesn't work like that God's not watching your behavior to see

whether or not He'll relate to you He's already done through the person of His

son Jesus all that needs to be done for you to have a right relationship with

Him and right now in this moment I want to pray with you and every location we're

gonna pray out loud as a church family for the benefit of those who are coming

to God or coming back to God but we'll all pray out loud together

repeat after me Heavenly Father I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of

God and today I make Jesus the Lord of my life I believe He died to forgive my

sin and rose again to give me life I receive this new life this is my new

beginning on the count of three if you just prayed that prayer shoot

your hand up I want to celebrate with you one two three come on as a testimony

shoot your hand up that's a lot of hands that's a lot of hands let's praise God

for it come on let's praise God for it I said let's praise God for it

salvation let's praise God for it

How To Deal With In-Laws In Marriage - Duration: 9:41.

You want to talk a boat(About) in-laws? Not Canadian. Let's talk about how to handle

in-laws and how that can impact the happiness and success of your

relationship. It's... It's almost a cliche. I mean, it's... It's in every joke that every

guy makes, right? Talking about his mother-in-law. The in-laws. The

mother-in-laws is always the butt of a joke. But the fact of the matter is, is

that if you're looking to have a happy marriage and one that lasts a long time.

Ours has lasted 30 years. You've got to have some kind of practical

understanding of how to deal with in-laws in your marriage. And this is my

wife Liz. We've been married for about 30 years and we've... We've got some insights,

I suppose we are going to share here. So Liz, tell me about your in-laws and how

you've been able to handle 30 years of dealing with them. -Well, I think... I mean,

so your side of the family. -Well, that's what I'm saying. -Right. And keep your distance. No. -What does that

mean? -No, but you're joking. But I mean, do you mean that? -No, I mean... But we don't... I

mean we're not always together with her. I mean some families are together a lot

more with their extended family that we are.

-That is true. Now, we've been blessed with time and space and distance issues in

the sense that when we got married, we were married down near her hometown in

Arizona but her parents still lived there. And a lot of your siblings and

other people were still there. -Right. -But we moved up here to Salt Lake City where

I'm from for the most part. But even then, we weren't terribly close to anyone

until like the first week of our marriage. Because my mother did move into

the same apartment complexes as we did. -But she didn't really bug us... -Right.

She's in her own apartment and she didn't bug us because she's not

generally doesn't bug us. -Right, right. -Yeah. But as certainly, through the years, we've

had interactions with both sides of the in-law equation.

-You had people live with us. -Off and on. -We have your mother live with us. -We've had your

sisters and other people in your family come and go. My sister is coming behind

and different phases in life. And you know, I guess the best bit of advice that

we can give and maybe this is part of who we are too. Is that... And it's

informed by our faith. So I mean, I'm going totake the easy one on this one

first. Which you may or may not understand. But you know, we believe in

having an eternal family and that families can be together forever. And so

we don't see in-laws or even extended in-laws as just an appendage to our

relationship. Like people we just have to put up with or we'll learn to get along

with. There's a deeper sense to kind of this eternal family. And you know, when I

marry you, I mean I really am becoming part of a family of your siblings and

your parents. Well, it's true. -I know, I just haven't thought of it that way. -So

I'm just saying there's... From my money, I guess what I'm saying is, is

there's more at stake with our marriage based on how I treat your family. Because

our marriage is very special to us. In our religion, the Church of Jesus Christ

of latter-day saints, it's a very holy and sacred ordinance that we've been

married, right? -Right. -And so for me, I'm going to... Maybe the word is put up with

more, be patient with more or maybe be more committed to eventually loving and

caring for your family than I might be... If I felt like this marriage had no

grounds for a future or it's... Like a lot of people are seeing them. "You can always

get out of it. You can always get divorced." -I guess I just didn't

think of it that way. I mean, it makes sense. -That's why I'm saying it in your

not. -But it's just... I mean, my thing is, I think you've always got a side with your

spouse rather than your family. I mean, once you're married to me,

that's like you would take my side over your mom. -Sure. -And I would do the same

for you. I mean I think our unit has to be the most important and extended

family, you can either put up with or not but I don't think you have to. If it's

damaging to your relationship, I'm fine what's not being with that person. -Wow.

Well, there's some... -You know what I mean? But you don't want anything to hurt if

my sister was always bashing you or were saying something about you, I

wouldn't hang out with her. -Okay. No, I absolutely agree. Yes of course. Oh yeah. I

do. I do. But the question is how do you

handle in-laws in your marriage and that's one way of handling them.

Especially if they're rude about your spouse. But you're

getting into now realms of loyalty to one another which I think does bleed

into it. Because you know will a man leave his mother, yes? To cleave to a

woman and Twain they shall become whatever... -I think your issues with extended

family are less if you are loyal to each other. Because if your family sees you're

loyal to each other, they're not going to bash your spouse in front of you. You know

what I mean? -Okay. -So that loyalty has to be first... -Agreed. So now,

flipping away from sort of the negative side of the question. How do you handle

in-laws. But that's true. No, but you're right.

The point is anytime you bring up a question and you use the word handle.

-Okay, most people who are looking up how to handle their in-laws are not looking

up from a positive, "I love my in-laws." -Well, that's what I'm trying to say. That's

What I am saying. So, how do you do that? And what you're saying is, you're just laying the

groundwork that our relationship is more important than that relationship. True.

Let's get to the how you handle it. And I think how you handle it is you learn to

love them and accept them even when they can act that way. Now, we haven't really

had that kind of struggle in our marriage. But growing to love her

siblings was a process that I was willing to embark on. We've also been

burned by in-laws on my side where we've seen

where the absolute, abject refusal to be included with the in-laws. I think led

to a absolute disintegration of a marriage. I don't know if you know who

I'm talking about. But if I'm married to her, I have to assume that she loves her

parents and her siblings at her side of the family. And that when they come over

and visit or we're having a get-together that even though it's her side,

it's my side too. I'm married into that family. So, I'm going to be out here, I'm

going to be talking, I'm going to be socializing. I'm not going to go, "Oh, I don't

want to stay at your parents because we got to talk to you." I'm going to be a

complete part of that family. -Right. And vice versa. She does the same. I mean, she

calls my mom, "Mom." I never really did that with your mom when she was alive. I might

have at this point if she stayed alive. I don't call your dad, dad. But you know,

it's just that's a personal thing. But but still, there is there has to be

respect and love and acceptance. -Well and I think it also helps just in your

marriage. If you accept my family that's more attractive to me. You know what I

mean? And like, my sister lives near me now and

I do a lot with my sister and that doesn't bug, you know. I'll talk to her on

the phone or whatever. -Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. -And you're totally fine with it.

It's my sister and you want me to have that relationship. -If there's family

reunions, another tip here is go along on the family reunion. Again, you're part of

that family now. And you don't get to beg out, "I'll just take a golf weekend while

you go and hang with your people." It doesn't work that way. A marriage isn't

going to... Isn't going to last. But I do love your initial bit of advice and we can

end with this one. I think, unless you have others. That I mean, really. It's

about you two. And really, you defer to your partner, your spouse, your

significant other first. And you always take their side. Now,

obviously there are things that are extreme and dramatic like abuse or

whatever and you might need to bring some people in for help or emergencies

or whatever. But the talking down, the throwing under the bus image to your

spouse to your own people, that's going to continue to alienate that

in-law relationship with your spouse more and more and more. Keep it between

yourselves. Do the best you can to handle your own problems alone. And let the

in-laws just blissfully enjoy what appears to be a wonderful marriage. And

if you can do that for the first 10 to 20 years, you'll probably get to the

30 like we did. Well, that was a meaty topic. And if you have any additional

thoughts, comments or suggestions, we'd love to hear from you. We've tried to

respond the best we can unless it's purposely abusive or offensive language

or tone or tenor. We'll probably delete those. But anybody that's truthfully

wants to talk to us, please leave a comment and remember to subscribe. Thanks.

How To Stop Worrying About What Others Think Of You - Duration: 11:26.

Inside your head, there is a problem.

And you are worrying too much what people think about you.

And it's really causing a lot slow progress.

So watch closely as I train you on how to stop worrying about what people think about

you.

You might be suffering from the very same thing that a lot of other people are suffering

from.

It's called WOTAM.

W-O-T-A-M.

What Others are Thinking About Me.

And it is a epidemic.

I mean, it is like...

It is very contagious.

It is infesting the minds of the people and it is causing massive, massive problems.

And the kind of problems it's causing is we are literally, as people, worrying so much

of about what other people think about us that it consumes our thinking and keeps us

in a state of paralysis.

Really, like we can't even think what to do because we're so concerned what our neighbors

are going to think or our family members are going to think or the people in the office

are going to think.

And it literally stops us from having progress.

But what's going on?

How come this is so hard for so many people to get past?

Because you listen and you will hear that when somebody is not moving forward and you

ask them what's your biggest challenge and they finally really honestly get down to it...

The number 1 challenge that people are having today is they worry about what others are

thinking about them.

So I want to uncover for you really what's going on inside of head.

And also, give you some steps about how to stop this madness.

Because it's totally messing up your life.

It really is.

So does what other think about me, whole situation.

What's happening is when you are posing the question of wondering what the other person

is thinking about you, you are activating your mind to search for the answer.

And so, your mind is trying reach and and trying to figure out what the other person

would think of you.

So then, your mind is puling back a whole bunch of scenarios.

But none of the scenarios can actually be confirmed.

Because your mind can not confirm any of these scenarios, it is an incomplete request that

you've given you're mind.

It's an incomplete request.

It can not come up with an answer.

So because it is unfinished, you're mind keeps looking for what other people are thinking

about you.

And because it can't find the answers, it won't stop searching.

It's like giving your computer a search option that it is running constantly.

Searching, searching, searching, searching, searching and it never finds and answer.

It literally gums to computer or gums up your brain.

And now you can't process any any other thoughts very well.

Because half of your thought process is still trying to search what all these people are

thinking.

So, that's where it started, as you we're curious, I think in the beginning of what

people think.

But now, the request can never be answered.

And now, every time you've wondered what other people are thinking, it's gotten to it's level

where it's now causing you to move slowly in your life.

Alright, so what do you do?

How do you get out of this?

How do you stop this?

Because you know, as an adult, you might be thinking it's not affecting you very much.

But what's happening is the way you plan your calendar, the way you make decisions about

your family.

What you wear for the day.

What you do in the form of going for goals or not going for goals.

It is affecting you.

It is slowing you down, it's causing problems.

And if you don't look around, you're going to be completely blind to all the problems

that's causing you.

For a teenager, big problem for a teenager.

Literally, if somebody...

If a teenager is struggling with their grades, I would have to say, this is on their mind

constantly.

What are the others kids think about them?

You know, what are their friends think about the,?

You know, if they...

If they're trying to have boyfriend or girlfriend, they're always thinking what they think.

We're wondering what their boyfriend or girlfriend are thinking about the.

But it consumes the mind.

And let's say that you have 100% of your mind to use to make decision.

This right here, this going to take off 50%, 60% of your thinking process.

No wonder you can't remember things.

You know what?

No wonder you can't finish things.

So, how are we going to take care of this?

Because if you don't figure this out, your kids are going to have the challenge.

You're friends are going to have the challenge.

Somebody's got to start figuring out how to just quiet this mind back down.

So you can get back being productive.

Alright so this is what you do.

Give you some instructions here so it can make sense for you.

It's up to you to create the answers.

Your mind will never figure out what other people are thinking.

No matter how much you try to figure out.

It won't figure it out.

So, it's up to you to answer 4 questions.

And these 4 questions is in the search menu in your head.

And it's up to you to literally sit down with pad of paper or get on your keyboard for you

laptop or your computer and answer this 4 questions.

Now, you're going to feel like you're making up answers and you're you know, it's like,

"Wait a minute, I can't make up these answers."

If you don't make up the answers.

it's an incomplete question and your mind will never stop.

So the way I stopped it in my head was I start to thinking, "What answers do I actually need

to come up so my mind will quit this nonsense."

Just quit the nonsense of searching.

Because an unanswered questions can cause you to feel insecure because you've so many

unanswered questions about what people are thinking about you.

You can feel insecure, your self-esteem can go down, your production or your performance

will definitely go down.

So I took these 4 questions...

I got a pad paper out and I just answer them.

Now, notice this is "What do I think of them?", What am I thinking of them?

And what do they think of me?

I came up with an answers.

And here's some answers that I came up with.

Number 1, of course they think I am handsome.

Right?

I know, that's one of your questions.

You wonder, "Do I look okay?

Am I alright?"

And I know it sounds like it's totally cocky or it's totally, you know like, be in all

about yourself.

But if you're wondering what people think about your parents and you don't decide yourself,

you're going to make this decisions what people think of you.

So I made a decision that I am handsome, I am smart.

I've got it put together, I know where I am going.

And this is what other people think of me.

Because if I come up with these answers and I believe my answers, my attitude, my performance,

the way I act around the people will completely change.

I'll be more confident for sure because what if I am worried of they think I am stupid

or I am too slow or I am too fat or I can't do anything right?

If I am thinking they're thinking that of me, well then I am going to act that way.

Doesn't it just makes sense?

We're already playing a head game with yourself anyway.

You're already playing ahead and give of wondering what they're talking about.

You might as well play a better head game.

You might have as played a better head game where you turn out good.

So make up the stories yourself.

You're already make up so many weird stories in a day anyway about yourself.

Make up better stories.

If you're going to try to figure out the story, just make it up.

So, there's 4 questions.

You can see what they're saying.

Answer all 4 questions.

But get involved with making the answers the way you want them to be.

Now, I got to tell you.

I am an introvert.

And how did I come out of being an introvert so I can be an extrovert?

I had to decide what people thought about me.

One of the challenges that introvert have is they're always searching to figure out

what's going on around them.

And one of them.

And one of the things that an introverts get caught up in is what do people think about

them?

And the stay quiet and stay in their shell.

But to open up my extrovert side, I came up with the answers.

So if you're not outgoing and you're not, you know, productive or doing very many good

things a row.

You're to do list doesn't get done.

I think this is haunting you.

It totally is messing with your head.

So since you're going to play a psychological game with yourself already, it's time to make

up your own answers.

Now, here something else about you that I know.

And this right here is super important.

You have to stop measuring others.

You see, one of the reasons why you wonder what they think of you is because you over

analyze people.

Oh, yes you do.

I totally busted you on this one.

Because if you worry about those other people, it's because that's what you're doing to them.

You're over measuring them.

So just stop that.

The other one is stop being so critical.

A person who is really critical of them self believes that other people are critical of

them.

And so, wait a second, it sounds like you actually started the problem.

I know this things.

I know this things because this what I used to do.

I used to be super, super analytical with people and measuring them like crazy.

And then I wonder what they thought of me.

And I used to be so critical about others and judgemental.

And then I created this whole facade of that's how they think of me too because that's what

I think.

So I had to like, calm down the craziness in my head.

How do you like calm this down?

So I backed off this, I backed off this and I answer all those 4 questions and it calmed

my mind down.

And when I calmed my mind down, I can focus...

I can focus on my steps of what to do each day.

I can focus on my goal.

I can get my goal because I am not worrying about what people think about me.

I think today's a good day for you to stop it.

And just take some actions.

You'll be so glad you did.

Why Does he Reject You : I Give You the REAL Reasons ! - Duration: 5:04.

Why men

Reject woman. Hello. Ladies and welcome to my youtube channel

I'm Alex comment your French relationship expert in this video

I want to go further because sometimes you're asking yourself but wine man, we checked woman

Oh why this man reject me he was into me he was liking me it was acting and then he disappears

he's maybe ghosting you this is a real question for a lot of women in this world and

First I want to tell you something

If someone is rejecting you or if men rejected a woman it's because they are not sure that you are really compatible

Why do I mean by that?

Men are looking maybe sometimes like you for the perfect connection for the perfect

situation and if they fear that

The present moment is not so good. There is not so much fun. It's too serious all the

Relationship will ask for too much effort

Then we say no. No, I don't want to be in a relationship

so if they are not ready if they are not enjoying the present moment and also

If they are not feeling that you are the perfect fit for them and if you ask yourself

But why how can you say that when we are just meeting for the first time?

Sometimes it's about the question the way you are really interested about knowing him

What is his favorite color?

Why where you wanna spend the perfect holidays?

Is the PTO's summer winter and with so this is the type of question

That can create the chemistry new connection because if you don't have this a man

Can sometimes we checked you even if you spend a good time together?

To the opposite when a woman is needed when a woman is too available

It could make a difference and change the situation

So the man will reject you or will reject a woman because she's too needy

She's too available and you will tell me about Alex

What is going wrong with this world?

And I'm completely agree with you

But you know as human we always give value to what we don't have this is stupid

But this is our society

This is how high walk also so this is part of us and you need to understand and to accept

that if you are too available to needy it starts with yourself, it starts with your self-confidence and

the best way to

Date someone have someone in your life is to start by working on yourself be the woman that you want to be

This is my philosophy and I can really help you with that

So if you have any question ask me in the comments below I will be here with my team to answer every single question

the last reason why men can pull away can just reject you just you know use is because

They are dating someone else

I don't know how to tell you that but then when I first came in, Miami

I settled in Miami and I just realized that dating in the u.s. Is not the same that dating in Europe

Sometime men can date multiple women, which is not really your case. Most of the woman that I'm coaching

They want to date or to have this specific man

To the opposite men that I'm coaching they want to know how to attract or to be charismatic

So then we talk to a lot of women and sometimes they can reject you because they are more attracted to someone else

And you know, what is funny they will come back to you

They will come back to you because that will not work with this woman. It will not be a connection

emotional it will be just a physical connection and that's why you have a lot of men that are rejecting you and

Coming back if this happened I would just ask you to not go too fast

In a relationship you need to take your time

Why Hire Us ? - Duration: 3:48.

Hi Tom Wilson here founder of Wilson law office

Today we're going to talk about a question that I think is very important. And that is why should you hire my firm and

I understand that there are a lot of attorneys out there

In fact, I know you can find a lot of attorneys who will take your money

To represent you in a case

regardless of their ability or experience to handle that case

We don't do that at wilson law we have

Spent the time and obtain the education to be prepared to represent you in the cases that we limit our practice

So let's begin when I talk about experience in education

graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1993 and

From day one in my practice. I've been representing people charged with criminal offenses and

I have never been a prosecutor. I've never been a public defender so you don't have those

questions about

Are you still friends with the prosecutor's office? Do you still have these issues from working as a public defender?

I have dedicated my practice to representing

individuals in the criminal justice system

One of the only things that I think is important and the second thing I want to talk about is

That if you hire me, you're going to find that I'm honest and I'm straight shooter now

you don't have to take my word for this you can go look on Google and

see what other people are saying because that information is there but what I what I think is important for you to understand is I

Want to make sure when you come in and talk to me that you know what I'm saying is my honest belief

Because there's a lot of attorneys out there that are going to do one of two things either

You're going to hear from an attorney that they're going to be able to

Achieve them Sun in the moon and they're going to tell you whatever you want to hear simply to get your money

Other attorneys might say this is the hardest case ever so they can charge a higher fee

What you're going to find for me, and I'm going to be honest with you about what I see in your case

There are certainly cases that are more difficult

There are certainly cases are going to take more time and I'm going to tell you that and tell you why

You're going to be able to trust

throughout my representation of you that the information I give you is as honest and as complete as I know how to do and

lastly, I think another extremely important aspect is it ties all this together and that isn't I'm dedicated to finding

The solutions that are right for you

You see when we sit down and talk about your case. We create a plan of how to deal with your case

what are we going to do to achieve the goals you want to do and

then I set out to achieve them and if I'm told no one's if I'm told on choices we need to do a

variety of different things

I'm going to continue down that path until I can find a way to get all or as many possible

Objectives that we set out as we kind of to conclusion videos

And you can always look on Google and see what other people are saying because you'll see that out there

but that's what

Separates me from the other attorneys. I've got the experience. I've got the education

I'm going to be straightforward with you and we're going to work until we get to the end. We need to get to

So I look forward to working with you, and I'm Tom Wilson founder of Wilson Law Office. Thank you

Twitch VIP Badge - Everything You Need To Know! - Duration: 5:14.

Twitch VIP badges what are they for or what do you do with them and how to use

them in this video right here I'm gonna show you everything you need to know to

be a VIP on Twitch let's go!

Hey it's me it's wild coming at you with another

quick twitch tip video and if this is your first time here and you want to

learn how to grow and improve your stream make sure you hit that big red

subscribe button and tick that bell so you know when my videos go live for you

twitch VIP badges are a way for streamers like you to recognize valuable

members of your streaming community streamers unlock 10 VIP slots by

completing the build a community achievement on Twitch which is

essentially just 50 followers and having five unique chatters in your stream at

one time now this will continue to scale the more unique chatters you have going

on in your chat you will unlock more slots which I'll put up on the screen

here so as you build more of a community the more VIP badges you will unlock to

issue out to all the valuable members of your community now being a VIP on your

channel means a lot more than just having a shiny new badge it actually

comes with some unique perks if you're a VIP you are not affected by slow

follower only or subscriber only chats if you're a VIP you're not affected by

any chat limit rate either being a VIP and a channel gives you access to all

chat rooms excluding the ones that are for mods only and last but not least if

you're a VIP and a channel you are allowed to post links without having

them be declined even if links are disabled if you would

like to add any viewer regular subscriber or lurker to your VIP status

in your channel it's quite simple to do we're gonna go up to the top here and

click down and go to dashboard once this has a chance to load we're gonna go

under the settings tab and click on roles once this has a chance to load

you're gonna see all of your moderators and VIPs listed out here at the moment I

don't have any for a quick note if you want to have a moderator and a VIP you

will see that it's grayed out because you can't you can have moderator and

editor or you can have VIP and editor you can't

have both sadly so you have to pick and choose so if you would like to make any

moderator of VIP you'll actually have to take away their status of a moderator

and then give them the status of the VIP and there you can see it changed but you

can always click these back-and-forth if you want but now if I want to take it

away just click it off and then add back to moderator role now if you want to add

somebody that is not on this list here that is also easy to do go to the top

right hand corner and you will see add new click on this and type in the

person's name that you'd like to add I'm gonna add my buddy smalls in here

because he's a great supporter of the stream and now I can click to either add

them as a moderator VIP or editor so I'm gonna click to add to VIP go over here

and click Save and now if I scroll down you will see him added as a VIP and it's

very easy to do switch VIP badges is a really cool way

to give back to your community but you need to think about how you're gonna

give these badges out since you only have so many slots not everybody can be

a VIP as you grow you unlock more but you really have to think about who

you're gonna give them out to but let me give you a little bit of advice maybe

don't just give them out willy nilly or don't give them out to people that kind

of been the most valuable assets of your community maybe considered doing a fun

few examples like this perhaps only give them out to people whose birthday it is

or give it out to the person who's the most active chatter for that day or do

it as a giveaway prize for that week or that month or that day try to make some

hype around being a VIP badge you don't have to get out all of your slots for

the whole month or the whole year you can do it one at a time create some hype

around it you can even do like giveaway prizes with it try to find some fun

unique things where it's really cool to be a VIP and it's kind of rare to give

out all your VIP badges some people obviously aren't gonna be VIP to be VIPs

which make Raw may cause some twitch drama and I don't want that for you so

if you start getting out VIP badges or you create some you know cool fun things

around make sure you're transparent so that

nobody gets hurt no feelings get hurt because I don't want you to have

twitch drama in your life no drama Lamas up in here nobody ever wants that so

hopefully you guys found this video very helpful if you want to see more quick

twitch tip videos for me make sure you go ahead and let me know in the comments

below what you guys would like help with on twitch I'm here to help if you want

to keep up with me and everything going on with me and my streams and my art

3 TIPS To Improve Your Guitar Solos - Duration: 4:35.

Hey guys, Steve here

today I want to give you a few tips

to get better/melodic guitar solos

let's go!

the first tip is about slides and vibrato

let's take for example the B note

on the third string

let's try with a slide and vibrato

hear? This is way better!

I am playing the same note but you can hear the difference

this is just an example

try to use slides and vibrato in your solos

second tip!

Bendings

I am going to play

a G sharp (G#)

on the third string

freat 13, now...

I'm playing the same note but you obviously hear the difference

this is way better

But I don't mean you always have to reach every note with a bending

But bendings bring a more melodic and dynamic sound

just try

you can also slide

this note

this is up to you

just try to use more bendings in your solos

this really helps

Tip number 3

jump through different scales you know

let's say for example

you just know the pentatonic scale, the minor pentatonic scale

and the major scale

we are playing today the E major

major scale

and minor pentatonic scale

now we can mix these together

for example I start playing on the pentatonic scale

and then I jump on the major scale here

and now I am using again the pentatonic scale

are you still here? Awesome!

There's a bonus tip for you

Improvise

Improvise

Improvise

and Improvise again!

I mean over anything you hear

do you hear a terrible song at the radio?

just grab your guitar

and try to jam over that song, ok?

you'll probably get an amazing solo

just try, improvise, always

thank you guys for watching

if you are not already subscribed I'll put the yellow thingy here

have an awesome day

and see you soon

bye

Episode 42: Do I need to learn how to have successful difficult conversations? - Duration: 2:48.

Do you really need to learn how to have successful difficult conversations? Well,

maybe you don't and this activity will help you work out if you do. So this is a

great activity to do as a group, maybe with your SLT or a year group team. What

you do is on a sheet of paper or board put three headings up: The first is

black-and-white issues. Now by this I mean quite straightforward issues, things

like lateness, inappropriate language, inappropriate clothing, things that it's

quite clear that this is what you can do and this is what you can't do. The second

category are performance issues. So this would include issues like marking, a TA

not doing interventions well, perhaps attendance data not being accurately

entered, anything that's about the job itself. And the third category is conduct.

Now by this I'm talking about adult behavior. That could be I'm not a team

player, it could be that I'm rude, that I come across as lazy; anything like that.

Now this is the category to really watch out for because what you need to focus

on is the behavior. People often think well that's just how they are, that's

their personality, but behavior has a huge impact on the effectiveness of your

team so don't be lured into thinking 'oh we can't we can't do anything about that',

maybe you can't but really think about is that the behavior the conduct we want

from adults in our school. Then as a team you can either together, write on the

board or page what issues exist under those three

headings. Or another way of doing it is put them all on post-it notes and then

pop them up, obviously taking out the duplicates. When you stand back and look

at it you might find there are very few. In which case, whilst difficult

conversations is a good leadership skill to have it might not be the most

important one for you and your team. If there are lots then get out something

that perhaps you do want to think about learning more about, maybe it's signing

up for these top tips or however is best for you. Give it a go

and let me know how it goes. I'd love to hear and if you and your team would

benefit from getting these top tips into your inbox on a weekly basis then sign

up at ukheadsup.com/headsuptv and if any of you have a

question that will help you have more successful difficult conversations then

ask me. I'd love to hear from you, you can ask me at ukheadsup.com/asksonia
