Episode 7/2018 - Duration: 19:18.

Welcome to the Kammebornia podcast, about life in general and knitting in particular

In the Kammebornia podcast we want to invite you to our world

that is full of thoughts, feelings and discussions

caused by the scent of the coffee and the soft peaceful rhythm of the knitting

Kammebornia is our art project as well as our own kingdom

Kammebornia is about our wish that everyone could live in their own fairytale kingdom in this place we call reality

and it is about our wish that everyone could be the king or the queen in their own life

We are Dennis and Pia and we live on Gotland, the island of roses and fairytales in the Baltic sea

We wish for a softer, more kind and warm world

Love and respect, does it have to be so hard?

Without the woolen threads, I get lost

but if I can knit one more row, and one more, I can find my way home again

Through the magic of the threads I take my way through the days and the nights

With a rhythm like the waves and the beating of the heart,

I knit one stitch after the other and one row after the other

at the same time I collect my thoughts and feelings

Coffee and Talk

Hello, and welcome to Gotland! We are back from our trip to Norway!

Yes, we have been to Midtnorsk Strikkefestival, a knitting festival

It was so exciting!

I think so too. And it was really beautiful!

We want to show you some of our experiences there, let's have a look right away!

Yes! Let's watch it!

We were invited to come to Midtnorsk Strikkefestival in Orkanger, close to Trondheim in Norway

to have a talk and to host a workshop

As traveling takes so much energy, we decided to explore Trondheim for a couple of days before

and after the festival

We arrived in Trondheim late at night and as we woke up the next morning, we could see the Nidaros Cathedral

through our hotel window and we went out immediately after having breakfast

What a beautiful church!

I have been wanting to come to Trondheim since I was a teenager, so it was a great joy to finally come here!

We felt like pilgrims, even though we had not walked the whole way there

We walked arounf in the town and enjoyed the October sun and all the beautiful scenery

Trondheim feels like a big town and a small village at the same time, and very friendly

There are so many nice old buildings and through the town, runs the river Nidelva

There is something special with towns that have water in them

We also visited the Vår Frue Kirke (Church of Our Lady)

They are doing such an important and nice social work in this church

Everyone is welcome here, the door is open and you feel so welcome

Everyone can come in and often homeless people can get a meal, some coffee and warmth as well as company

Every Thursday, they are serving hot soup

We felt so welcome here

and I was thinking a lot about how important it is to let everyone have a place where they are welcome

We can never know how it feels to be someone else, but it is easy to understand that everyone need things like

warmth, company and food

We all need to be seen

Every autumn there are many orange scarfs knitted in Trondheim

Then the scarfs are being placed here and there in the town, so that anyone in need of a warm scarf can get one

You can also wear an orange scarf to show that you wish for a warmer world where there is place for

everyone. This is such a great project by Kirkens Bymisjon, the Church Mission

We were staying at Hotel Trondheim where we were given yarn and needles to be able to participate

Our friend Patricia, on Youtube as Knitography, has made an episode about the orange scarfs

It's in Vlog 14 of Knitography

We can highly recommend to watch that!

After lovely days in Trondheim, we took the bus to Orkanger

We were welcomed by Ojvind, who is in charge of the festival, and his team

Orkanger was such a beautiful place, by the river Orkla and with the hills surrounding the village

We slept in a nice white house by the foot of the hills

The festival was spread out in the different buildings surrounding Bårdshaug Manor that looked like the Moomin house

It was a national romantic building from the late 19th century

There was also a stave church, built for the World Exhibition in Chigago 1893

It was built to show what the really old stave churches look like

It was transported back from Chicago to Orkanger in Norway last year, 2017

after more than 100 years in the USA

On Saturday, I had my talk about knitting as meditation, healing and therapy

in the old cinema

It was so wonderful to have a big audience and to know that all those people wanted to listen to my story

It is a bit strange to make such a long travel to talk for an hour

But it was really worth it and so lovely to meet all the nice people and to get hugs and greetings

and positive feedback. Thank you, all of you that came!

Thank you for coming, for your words, your stories, for your tears and your laughter!

It meant a lot to me!

Afterwards, Dennis and I hosted a workshop together

We were talking about the production of a video podcast

We tried to share our best tricks and we showed some behind the scened material and answered a lot of questions

It was a great moment, to meet all the curious, inspiring and interested people

In the workshop, we had a small group with lots of space for talking to each other, which was really nice

For example, we got to know both Brit and Merete. Both of them have already released nice podcasts from the festival

Merete interviewed us for her podcast

and you can find links to both their podcasts in our shownotes below and on ravelry

After our work, we could stroll around the Yarn Market in a beautiful old building by the river

We met old and new friends and there was time for talking and having coffee

We could spend some time with Patricia, last time we met was in March in Edinburgh

She sold her locally produced, plant dyed yarn and her sockblockers and mittenblockers

handmade, by wood from her farm. They are treated with bee wax from local bees

They are both beautiful, functional and very smooth

We also met Emelie from Arctic knitting, we also met in Edinburgh

Lovely knitting community!

When mostly working from our home, the travels are a nice contrast to the homebird life

And meeting all the lovely people while traveling, is a good acknowledgement of our work

Traveling is taking and giving. It takes a lot of energy, but we get so much love and energy back

As we came back to Trondheim, we were so happy and so tired

We had some rest, lovely walks and good food there before we went home again , carrying many happy memories

So, now we have showed you some of our adventures in Norway!

It was so lovely there!

And now, it's lovely to be at home, sitting here on the porch, knitting

You are knitting your second Riddari?

Yes, I am. I am participating in a Riddari knitalong

That is right, it is a knitalong that I am hosting together with Järbo garn

You can find more information about the Riddari knitalong on my blog, kammebornia.se

So, I can get some help there?

Yes, you can, or you can ask me directly

Your colours are so beautiful!

I am knitting knee high socks

Blue, my new colour

Isn't brown your colour?

Yes, it still is, but I also like blue

I have even knitted a blue Riddari

and now I am improvising blue socks in a sports weight Opal sockyarn from Opalicious

Now it's time for a book recommendation and some other things we want to tell you about

Great!

Maja Karlsson has made another lovely book, this time about mittens

Trettiofem vantar (35 mittens) will be available in English next year!

I am knitting a pair from the book, they are called The Promise

In the book, Maja tells a story about how mittens and gloves always had a strong connection to promises and honour

My mittens has love birds on them, they are about a promise of love

It's a symbol for faithful love

This book is like a treasure with enchanting mittens and pictures

3 of our patrons now have a chance to win this book

and we have more nice things for our patrons

I have lovely project bags from Kathrin, @_bed_of_roses

She also makes the most beautiful stitch markers, like jewellery

If you are a patron, you now have the chance to win one of Kathrin's project bags with stitch markers

You also have a chance to win our book, Picknick

with Dennis' drawings, my pictures and a lot of inspiration for picnic all year around

You can find all the information you need about this give away on our page on patreon.com/Kammebornia

Well, that was it, we do not have so much more today, we wanted to focus on Norway

We will soon be back with another episode!

That's right! Thank you and good bye!

Autism, Obesity, Dementia, Cancer, ADD At Increasing Rates - Causes & Solutions - Duration: 7:46.

Hi, Dr. Minkoff here. Can you imagine why we're in the situation we are now with

some worldwide epidemics, and I'm not gonna tell you what they are yet, but I

wanted to just take you through sort of a thought scenario. What do you think

would happen to our planet, meaning the soil, the bacteria in the soil, which are

the source of all life on this planet because they make plants, or they're

nutrients for plants, and where the energy sources are that we are totally

dependent on this ecosystem. What do you think happens to this ecosystem, that

planet Earth is in the neighborhood of five billion years old, if we would

produce a major attack on this very delicate earth, loam, soil, structure, to

the point where it was under peril to a very high degree? In 2015, two billion

tons of the pesticide Glyphosate, that's Roundup, was dumped on planet Earth. Now,

it's the same now, but there's statistics for 2015. Two billion tons per year

dumped on planet Earth of a pesticide which kills bacteria, it kills cells,

it's carcinogenic, and it's put onto the soil all over the world, except in a few

countries in Europe where it's outlawed. But for sure in the United States it's

not outlawed. You can't even put it on a label on a food. Now this is a big

problem. A Harvard researcher Dr. Stephanie Seneff has written a very

nice book on this which gives all the facts. But if you start looking at, okay,

now the soil organisms are getting killed off, now the plants are being

sprayed with this stuff, and it produces leaky,

poor membranes in the plant so their root structure can't take up nutrients

the way it's supposed to take it up. And then the plants don't get the minerals

and vitamins they need from the soil. And they're poisoned with the pesticide.

And now our animals are eating that. So our cows, and our chickens, and our

lambs, and us are eating it. And I don't know how many thousands of pounds of

corn, say, that a cow eats, but believe me he's gonna concentrate all that poison

in his body and then when we eat it we're gonna get it in our body, because

his body does not really dispose of it, it stays in his tissues and when we eat

those tissues we're gonna get that stuff. And what's it gonna do to our body? Well

it rips holes in our intestinal membrane, it is a poison, it blocks the cell from

being able to make some essential amino acids. It kills good gut bacteria. And the

downside of this is that if we look at our population over the last thirty years

what we see is we have epidemics of autism. I used to be a

pediatrician and when I was a pediatrician the incidence of autism was

basically you'd never see one in your whole life if you were a busy pediatrician

seeing 50 kids a day. I got told that by Dr. Bill Nigam who was the

Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego,

where I did my residency. One day we had an autism patient in the clinic and

he came around to make rounds with us and there was a little kid in there and

he said make sure you go examine this kid when when you're done with rounds

today because you'll never see another one. This kid has autism,

this is 1978. And he said if you're a busy pediatrician and you see

40 kids a day, five days a week, for 35 years, you won't see one because it's

very rare. Do you know that the instance of autism now is 1 in 36

live male births? This is like the biggest catastrophe that's ever happened

to families, the school systems, the future workforce. It's a huge thing.

Now, I'm not saying that autism is caused only by Glyphosate there's plenty other

toxins to go around. But, I'm just looking at Glyphosate has had a huge impact on

our ecosystem. And now we look at we've got autism, 1 in 10 kids have ADD.

70% of those kids are on amphetamines. You know, if you do a SPECT scan

which is a scan of the brain to look for the effect of the brain on a

medication, that if you give someone an amphetamine like Adderall, or

methamphetamine that it looks identical as cocaine? Giving this a five and

six-year-olds, who we know it shrinks their brain, it kills their appetite it,

stunts their growth. So, epidemic of autism ADD, asthma, allergies, pre-diabetes, obesity, major depression, dementia, I mean these things, cancer.

These things didn't exist a hundred years ago. They did not exist, or

hardly. Now, if you're in clinical medicine you're seeing this stuff, this

is what you're seeing. And I think that it's related to we're poisoning our

planet. And the major poison that's having the most effect that I can see is

Glyphosate. Now there's plenty to go around, with cell phone radiation, and

with plastics, and with petrochemicals. So we are living in a sea of this stuff, but

this one is really poisoning our basic ecosystem which is our soil. And it's

having a huge impact, and if we don't do something about it - it's very

simple don't buy non-organic food. Don't buy GMO food. Don't buy it. If

we can kill the business by having people not buy it they will sell

something else which is better. And we have control over this. So almost all the

corn in the store, unless it's certified organic, is GMO corn and it's got

Glyphosate. Same with soybeans, same with wheat. So, we have control as people of

controlling why did Amazon buy Whole Foods, because lots of people are going

to Whole Foods and they're shopping. That's good.

So they support that. So I think if we can as a population start to look at our

days are numbered. It might not be in my lifetime but certainly my children and

my grandchildren are numbered if we don't turn this thing around. And if we

don't do something about it, which is actively not patronize that stuff, we

can make an impact. And we can help ourselves, or we can help our planet, and we

can help our kids. Okay, hope this helps.

Blizzcon 2018 Highlights You Need To Know - Duration: 4:53.

This past weekend, BlizzCon made some major waves in the gaming community with their annual

convention.

Some of those waves were positive ones.

And some, well, not so much.

So here's all the deets on what you missed from Blizzcon 2018!

WoW Classic Let's start off with the positive!

Blizzard showed off World of Warcraft Classic; a game they had announced last year that is

a retro version of the MMORPG, and so far, the reviews have been positive.

It basically takes old code and pops it into newer framework, ditching the streamlining

and simplifying the devs had been toying with since 2005, and is essentially Blizzard restoring

WoW history, which in itself is really cool.

Which is interesting, because there's been lots of changes to the games mechanics since

it was first released.

There's a lot of meandering, since the quest tracker didn't really exist back in the

original, but according to those who have tested out the demo, it's pretty darn great.

There's also a bunch of Chuck Norris references and according to Kotaku, the Barrens in the

demo is an escapable nightmare, which is exactly the kind of thing everyone wanted it to be.

The game officially releases sometime next year in the summer.

WoW 3 remastered Warcraft 3 Reforged was announced at the convention,

right off the bat in their opening ceremony.

It's a remastered version of Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos, and the company showed off

not only an epic cinematic, but also gameplay trailers that looked rather promising, with

remodeled characters and environments.

Another major selling point is that the remastered game will also include the World Editor tool,

which is a fan favourite, and Battle.net will support the functionality to create custom

game lobbies along with balance changes.

The game is set to be released sometime in 2019, and you can pre-order it now.

New HearthStone Expansion There's a new Hearthstone Expansion coming

out!

It's called Rastakhan's Rumble, and it features a new solo mode, and a new Key Word;

Overkill.

Overkill allows a weapon or minions to attack more than once per turn if its previous attack

destroys a minion by dealing out damage that is at least 1 point greater than that minion's

health.

There are nine legendary troll champions, one for each of the classes in the game.

The theme for the expansion concerns itself with the spirit of competition and an ancient

fictional civilization.

It will be available on December 4th of this year.

D.Va statue There was a giant Lego D.Va statue at the

convention.

Kind of self explanatory, and no, you won't be able to buy your own in the future, but

still really darn neat to look at.

New Overwatch Character Ashe Many feel that Overwatch's presentation

stole the show at Blizzcon.

And hey, they're not entirely wrong there.

Overwatch announced a new character on the block; a gunslinger named Ashe who is assisted

by a loyal robot butler known as B.O.B.

And people are loving B.O.B!

According to devs, Ashe's inspiration came from story and franchise development rather

than an exploration of new game mechanics, derived from the team building out what the

Deadlock Gang's backstory would be, and what they would look like.

Ashe has an ability called Coach Fun that is quite flexible in terms of defense.

New Heroes of the Storm Exclusive Character Heroes of the Storm usually has characters

from other Blizzard franchises, and this is their first exclusive character, brand spanking

new, not from any of their other games.

Her name is Orphea and she's born entirely in the Nexus, and is the 83rd character to

join the game since it launched back in 2015.

So who is Orphea?

She's the daughter of the Raven Lord, hence her nickname, Heir of Raven Court.

Her official bio reads, "Rejecting the dark power her father had begun to consort with,

Orphea tried to run away from the Raven Lord's influence.

But after witnessing King Crest's fall to his machinations, she was convinced she needed

to stand and fight.

She now vows to protect the innocent, as a hero of the nexus.

Orphea will be available after the next major patch of the game drops.

Diablo Immortal Perhaps the most prevalent news to come out

of BlizzCon is the announcement of Diablo Immortal.

Not Diablo 4, not a remastered Diablo game, oh no.

Diablo Immortal is a mobile game.

And it's got a lot of fans of the franchise pissed off.

Diablo Immortal is co-developed with a Chinese Company called NetEase, and many people feel

it looks a whole lot like a reskinned version of their mobile game Crusaders of Light.

In addition to this, the gameplay demo was incredibly easy, provided zero challenge to

most, and fans of the franchise feel as if this is a spit in the face, considering how

long they've been waiting for Diablo news pertaining to the launch of a new game or

remastered one for PC.

Blizzard's response to the negative backlash has also been a concerning one, with many

feeling the company is out of touch with the fan base.

There we have it friends!

Why should you find good friends?!?!? - Duration: 8:21.

What's up my VCS are at a pause for a second to make sure it's recording but what's up?

My VC's welcome back to another video. I just want to tell you that something that's important about friend wise

Because when you make them you want to make sure you have the good friend inside of the batteries

But it will be okay to make good walk earrings, but are they any friends? Um

So basically this is going to talk about skating more if you have one of those skating friends like I do

But to the point where I'm not putting that person out by saying our name what I like they live or anything like that

I'm just saying that

Towards having friends like skin friends make sure you piss and closely towards them because I'm paying attention

totally Coast towards them because like well my

Person, I'm looking towards up like the things that we do together as we're going skating on Saturdays

I'm probably on a two person that knows who I'm talking about, but don't actually

sit

Towards the comments and sort that but I'm not gonna say the name who knows that person because they drop me off there

Sometimes that's if I acts but same time

But yeah, that's pretty much it. But um

anyways, the reasonable I'm talking about this now because I want you guys to make sure you have the good friends that skates the

Same way as you do

For like different cool

Let me say in a way for you guys to understand sorry for myself, by the way

Because sometime might get can feel what I'm saying. And then I put it out in a different way than you guys understand

so

Basically, what am I mean by that is Brenda good friends that skates along with you

like towards the ajb skate tours walking, you know what the difference between jb skating and

jam skating

jb skating is like a soul skating type of

thing we're like

It's a whole music type of thing but is actually good. No, but I buy that

not gonna

But like they dance

and

Look so do JB's haters?

pretty much

They normally do

it's like I wish I can show you guys but at the same time I can't really so let me get

Towards more of gem skating because I really know what that is because I'm doing it now to have this case as well

so pretty much gem skating is

Dancing well, let me say hip hop

Breakdancing and not ballet but

There's this thing like I forgot what it's cold, sorry if I take long to think about it

Gymnastics, there we go. That wasn't too hard to think about

Gymnastics, so those are the three things about Jam skaters

and I don't do anything that's towards breakdancing because my body doesn't work that way let you know I

Do hip-hop

Like the movements I do hip-hop, but I'm normally do pop locking

So let me show you what pop locking is and you guys don't know what that is. It's easy

So this is pop locking

Because I normally do pop locking I won't add music towards it but I like it because I'm using my laptop

Towards this video you don't feel like editing anything

nothing

No, just like that. So make sure you guys can see me in a clear way

Sorry about the lighting because I'm using the actual Sun to actually make a little brighter in here

So let me show you again dancing move. So this is popping. Oh

Yeah. Oh

Like this like that pop blocking

Blocking

This little spin and make it look cool

Okay, but back to I was saying if this video don't like come towards the wrong video

Sorry about that. But this is very important that you guys need to know so

You guys see debates with attention towards its who actually get it under better under a better understanding

By finding good friends at skates as well like you somewhat I guess I don't know

so

because I have one of those friends somewhat that's kind of like that because

between this game move that that person does and I do I do more of their work into it my work and it's more like

That's not a good idea on me. That's not a good balance between it so he I like that person is up here

you know like

somewhat well

You know, what's good it's him

So he is up here

I'm like right here and I'm trying to get up here with him cuz well make him come down a little here

To make a little somewhat not very much of even when I want to make it up to here

Because I want to try to do a little mix-up thing between gem scanning and jb skating, but it since I might not look right

but the thing that we can do that may looks perfect with it among like dance move and

like

The old scape moves that they know i'm gonna do. I can't really describe it towards you

We're always getting really do what they like jb skating but it's high called old

Pinapatawad Kita [I Forgive You] | 24 - Duration: 6:16.

Have people in your life hurt you?

Usually, what hurts the most is when we get hurt by

those who are closest to us... like our family members,

our friends, or those we love.

The deep, searing emotional pain from being unjustly wronged

sometimes lasts a long time.

Some carry it their whole life and die bitter, with unforgiveness in their heart.

How tragic that you would carry bitterness and unforgiveness to your deathbed...

That you would allow it to make you its prisoner,

unable to become free from this dark, terrible thing

that has happened to you.

There is a way... to become free from the evil and wrong

that people have done against you.

With a simple "I forgive you"

you can be set free!

You may have gone through extremely difficult things in your past.

Sometimes, we plant seeds of bitterness in our hearts,

and then we nurture this bitterness.

But holding onto a grudge and being angry

doesn't make you strong;

it just eats away at your heart,

and ends up hurting you even more.

On the other hand,

forgiveness

doesn't make you weak; it sets you free.

Whether you realize it or not,

every time that you don't forgive,

it actually hurts you more than the other person.

Someone once said, "unforgiveness is like drinking poison

and waiting for the other person to die."

Having a nature and a lifestyle of not forgiving others

not only brings about a heart full of bitterness,

but also affects your emotional health

and has been linked to stress-related illnesses

by some medical researchers.

You can't get rid of evil, or the bad things that have been done to you,

by doing something that is equally bad, like choosing not to forgive.

As you choose to forgive those who have hurt you,

you conquer what is evil by doing something good.

Let's not take revenge into our own hands.

Instead, let's choose to surrender our anger over to God.

For the Word of God says that God is the one who will take revenge.

It says that He will repay those who sin against us.

He is the one who will give us justice.

The truth is, eventually we will all face God to give account for our actions,

including those people who have wronged us.

We will have to face the Lord too.

We will be held accountable to Him for our actions,

and if we learned to forgive, like He asked us to.

His question for us will be,

"My child, did you forgive them?"

Jesus said,

"If you forgive other people when they sin against you,

your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

But if you do not forgive others their sins,

your Heavenly Father will not forgive your sins." (Matthew 6:14-15)

Forgiveness is giving up my right to hurt you,

for hurting me.

The word "forgive" actually means to wipe the slate clean,

to pardon, or to cancel a debt.

It is impossible to live on this fallen planet

without ever getting hurt, offended,

misunderstood, lied to, or rejected...

without ever having to forgive someone.

Forgiveness empowers us to recognize the pain that we have suffered,

without letting that pain define us,

or force us to keep living in the past.

You don't forgive because that person necessarily

"deserves" to be forgiven.

Instead, choosing to forgive is a decision that you make,

even if that person hasn't asked you for forgiveness.

We offer them the same grace and mercy that God has given us.

But what if I don't feel like it?

Forgiving is not a feelings-based decision.

It is an intentional choice to surrender our anger and bitterness.

Even when it is extremely difficult, and we may not feel like doing it,

we still choose to forgive.

But, why?

Well, there is a good reason.

First off, whatever they have done against you,

can't even be compared to our sin against God.

We don't have any right to tell God,

"I just can't forgive them!"

When we have received forgiveness from God.

He chose to forgive, and He even gave His life

for us on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.

And the second reason is this:

We forgive out of obedience to God.

When we forgive others, we don't do it just for them...

We know that the act of forgiving others

is ultimately between us and God.

We will be held accountable to Him.

It's hard to move forward when you can't forgive the person who hurt you.

You'll end up carrying that pain your whole life

unless you finally surrender and say,

"Lord, I don't want it anymore! I forgive them."

"I'll let you take care of it."

Right now, will you choose to forgive

the people who have wronged you?

If this is what you want,

you are welcome to join me in a simple prayer.

God, right now,

I surrender everything to You...

all of this anger, bitterness and pain that is in my heart.

I forgive them

because of the grace that You have given me.

I choose to extend this grace to them as well.

Please heal my heart right now, God.

In Jesus' name.

Accrued Vs Unearned Income - Duration: 2:16.

We will be discussing whether we have

Accrued or Unearned income.

There are questions like this that will

appear on your exam.

Before I explain Accrued and Unearned

income let me explain what

Percentage of Completion means.

Percentage of Completion is an

accounting method to follow when dealing

with projects in which payments are

received throughout the different stages

of construction.

The percentage of work completed is

determined by dividing the cost-to-date

by the estimated-cost-to-completion

of the project.

Now for Accrued Income is when the

value generated by the contractor for

the owner is greater than the amount

paid by the owner to the contractor

and for Unearned Income is when the

amount paid by the owner to the

contractor is greater than the value

generated by the contractor for the owner.

There will be situations where you are

Accrued and where we are Unearned.

Now that you understand this,

let's start with the problem

We have billed the owner

57,060.00

the Contract Amount is 253,600.00

and we completed a third of the project.

Based on this information we need to

find the dollar amount using

these figures.

We need to ask what is the third

of this contract amount?

You take the Contract amount of 253,600

and divide by 3.

The answer you should get is 84,533.33.

What does 84,533.33 represent?

This number is the dollar amount of

that you have completed for the owner.

In other words, a third of this job is

worth $84,533.33.

The second part to this problem,

is find out if you own them or do

they owe you?

You will simply subtract Billed

the Owner which is 57,060 to the dollar

amount you completed for the owner.

Which is $84,533.33 minus $57,060.

The amount you will get is the amount

they owe you,

which is $27,473.33.

The problem asks whether we have Accrued

or Unearned income.

Is this Accrued or Unearned?

If you answered Accrued Income

you are correct.

Sick Home Syndrome [2018 Energy Efficiency Updates] - Duration: 3:07.

Here at Healthy Home 365, our mission is to implement eco-friendly technologies

to make sick homes healthy again and did you know that right now over 50 percent

of US homes and 85% of commercial buildings are deemed to have sick

building syndrome. Symptoms of a sick home typically start in the Attic. In the

summer radiant heat comes along and it attacks the

exterior of your roof causing your attic to heat up like an oven. And the number one killer

of your roof is excessive heat. It crystallizes your shingles and if you

ever see any shingles been crystallized they begin to curl at the edges because

your roof literally cooks from inside out which eventually leads to Amber

deposits on your afters and eventually weakening the structural integrity of

your roof. An unventilated attic essentially acts like a pond you want

fresh water coming in and fresh water coming out now if you stop that fresh

water from coming in and leaving the leads to a stagnant pond. Your attic

works the same way creating an ecosystem of mold, viruses, bacteria, and all sorts of

breathing problems. Our products not only increase energy efficiency and create

comfort, they're designed to protect the home from unwanted temperatures, promote

health, and save you money every day. First, a coat of liquid cool thermal

paint and enbodied with nano ceramic micro beaded technology is applied to insulate

any structure from hot and cold temperatures. We then pump KOOLBlue

right into your AC unit. A synthetic additive designed to increase air flow

and performance while decreasing maintenance. Seventy percent of the heat

transfer comes from your attic. In science cold does not exist, heat always

seeks out cold with attic temperatures up to one hundred and fifty degrees all

of that unwanted heat then forces its way into your living space. We add our KOOLBlanket

multi-layered insulation that blocks up to 97% of the radiant heat

entering your home during the summer months and just the opposite in the

winter time. Insulating all of that heat during

colder months. We then install our KOOLSpin solar fans which ventilate up to

1,200 cubic feet of air per minute to properly ventilate your attic. At the

same time removing all of that unwanted moisture and dust. Since we primarily

spend that most of the time inside our homes we focused on creating a healthier

indoor environment for our families and pets. Our Eco Probiotic System is

connected directly to your home central air and disperses trillions of

microscopic probiotics through all the air all the objects and all the services

throughout your home. And all of our case studies show a reduction in harmful

bacteria dust mites and allergens. So don't wait get a free energy efficiency

audit today.

First Interview!!! Interviewing Nelson of ProjectEd - Duration: 10:55.

Hey guys so I'm really excited to share with you guys our very very first

interview so over the weekend I managed to catch up with Nelson who is one of

the co-founders of ProjectEd and ProjectEd's mission is to give all students

in Malaysia an opportunity to attain tertiary education so with that I hope

you enjoy the video, I hope you enjoy the interview and I hope that it's quite fruitful for anyone

who's watching especially students. Hey guys I'm here today with Nelson who is

one of the co-founders of ProjectEd so Nelson do you want to introduce yourself as well. Yeah sure. Hi everyone my name is Nelson

I'm an undergraduate student at the University of Southampton, doing a Masters of engineering

Aerospace and Aeronautics and Astronautics. So I'm one of the

co-founders of ProjectEd an NGO which drives to tackle education inequality in Malaysia

by empowering students to pursue their tertiary education dreams. We're here today to talk more about ProjectEd and figure out

how it works and what Nelson and his team have been doing in order to help the

students of Malaysia so before we get into the specifics of ProjectEd and

everything. What inspired you to even start ProjectEd? Right, so well being the first

generation college student who is studying in the University, who comes

from a small fishing village, named Pontian. I'm pretty sure no one has heard about it. It's in Johor I know that. So yeah I always thought that you

know being in university is a privilege so I successfully beat the odds

and secured a scholarship from Yayasan Khazanah to pursue my tertiary education at the

University of Southampton so I'm really fortunate and always in

search of ways to contribute back to the community

as a scholar of the nation so yeah this is my first aha moment, when I

wanted to help a lot of students who are from my similar background

wanting to help them to pursue their tertiary education because I see a lot of

potential in students who, well I wouldn't say they're underprivileged they're just

not being exposed to the huge potential out there. Those cases are really common.

Going into the more nitty-gritty, how do you reach out to students what are the

ways in which you impact students and how do you help them achieve that

tertiary education dream. At ProjectEd, we are a student like NGO which drives to tackle

education inequality in Malaysia by empowering more underprivileged

students to pursue their tertiary education dreams. Empowering means that we

always believe that tertiary education should be inclusive not exclusive

for students so we have these three solutions our empowerment through these

three solutions first digital mentorships, second our scholarship

opportunities and third our educational workshops. Right, okay can we dive in those three things a bit more. For digital mentorships, what do you mean by digital mentorships

We comprises of a lot of scholars who come from different backgrounds

and they are more than happy to share that unique experience and university

life with lot of students. So students can actually book and schedule

a period to actually seek advice from the student mentors

who have been there and done that obviously and they are happy to help out and and provide advice

in say, resume and CV writing, scholarship applications, what course do you

want to study, what institutions do you want to go to, and mock interviews. So these are some of the

advice that our student mentors can provide and our student mentors are

very experienced they all come from like top universities in the world like

Oxford, Standford, UCLA, and we recently have one graduate from University of

Southampton who is currently working at Rolls-Royce UK. Very happy to have them

join us as our student mentors and help out more students. Yeah, definitely that sounds like really really

amazing skills which they don't really teach you in school now do they

So other than digital mentorship you also mentioned about these educational

workshops. What do you do for these educational workshops? So for our educational workshop, we

provide our insights, a lot of insights about post-SPM pathways. So we go to

secondary schools and rural areas to help students to provide them an insight to

bridge the knowledge gap of not knowing what their pathways are past SPM. So we provide

knowledge in terms of you know where can you go. Do you want to go to formal

tertiary education such as overseas institutions or like local public universities or

also do you want to go to vocational universities such as TVET and stuff like

that. So we provide insights and hopefully inspire more students to

go for tertiary education like you know what they want to study so they they

want to go too and seek out the way of you know getting a scholarship and stuff like that.

Right okay so it really opens them up to all these other opportunities which

they might not know of beforehand okay and lastly you also said

you fund scholarships right. How exactly do you do that? So well it's very, I would say

the word crowd-funding. So we comprise of more than 50 scholars who come

from different scholarship providers and they contribute 45 ringgit

or more per month for like more than one year and with this scholarship

fund. We successfully funded students to pursue

their tertiary education at local public universities. So we are proud to say that we are the first

student-led scholarship fund in Malaysia to provide scholarships for students

So what success have you seen with ProjectEd? How many students have you

seen get these scholarships? How many students have you impacted with the

digital mentorships and the educational workshops? What are some success stories? Right so we

always celebrate small success like we are gonna get a new sponsorship from a partner

So one of our success was our first inaugural scholarship

fund which is called Knowledge Is Free scholarship

Program. So we successfully sponsored three students to pursue their tertiary education

in local public universities so yeah, allow me to mention like one of them

is studying medicine at UMS, one of them is studying law at UM, and another scholar is studying

English related course at UITM. Wow! So it's very very diverse

One of our main advantage for

our scholarship is that we are the only scholarship which provides scholarships

for students for study who are studying any course so we always know that there are a lot of

scholarships, which restrict students from studying certain courses. We believe

in you know everyone's potential in different fields. So we want to provide

for students, no matter what you want to study

aerospace engineering, biology, psychology or some neuroscience thing.

It doesn't matter as long as you're passionate about it. I see the passion and view

about learning and acquiring knowledge. Okay, and how many students have you impacted with your

digital and your educational workshops well yeah I would say we just

started with our digital mentorships, not long ago, September 2018

however, through our digital mentorship and our educational workshops we have

impacted more than 150 students who came for our workshops and also go

to our digital mentorship and we are looking forward to impact more students

in the near future. How can students participate in the platform? How can they be part of it?

Well it's very easy simply sign up through our website that will be

provided below and also yeah just sign up and fill in your details and you're able

to book our mentors. You can browse through our mentors and see

which mentor suits your needs. Just book their time and you have a great time with the mentor. Right and correct me if I'm wrong, it's completely

free right? Yup it's completely free. We believe in not charging the students because we

believe in empowering students that's why we don't charge students for any reason.

Right great. That's amazing for any students out there who want to utilise your

platform. Last question before we leave, so how can other people, other

than students, other than scholars, how can others get involved? Members of the public

like me, like corporate. How can we get involved with ProjectEd? Definitely

So for corporates, we always have this ProjectEd champion which corporates can come

in to invest in our students. So no matter by providing support in education

workshops or even sponsor one of our students to pursue their tertiary education dreams

We are more than happy to collaborate with corporates in terms of this.

Second thing for public, if you believe in our cause of tackling

education inequality in Malaysia, you can donate to our scholarship fund via

our website and for students out there utilize our

platform. This is the best help you can ever give. Thank you so much for coming over and

like sharing the best about ProjectEd. I think it's an amazing amazing

platform for students everywhere for their future education and everything like

that because, I mean quite honestly lots of kids like I was there at one stage in life who

didn't really know what to do after right. So it's great to see that scholars

are actually helping our students and not just leaving them behind it's all

Any final words for the audience at home watching this well I

would say I always believe that knowledge is free, education is expensive

So I believe that when we empower the students, we empower the nation

So we always want to help out more students to by empowering them to pursue

their tertiary education so that they can be the future of our nation. With

that thank you so much for coming and we'll see you guys in the next post. Again

the link and everything will be down below so have a look at ProjectEd's page

and help out if you can! Thank you! See you guys at the next post! Bye!

So that was the end of the interview hope that you guys enjoyed it. It was

our very very first interview so if you have any comments please do comment down

below, at any of our social media channels and yeah if you have anyone else that

you would like us to interview or if you think anyone deserves a shout-out please

do send us a message and we'll try and get in contact with them

With that, see you all in the next post! Bye!

MedBall Passes - Duration: 3:46.

okay so one thing to note here is these guys have more than one use obviously we

spend a lot of time throwing them at a target lately we spent more time

throwing them against the wall and throwing them to each other

there's two ways to interpret that one chances are if you're throwing it

against a wall it's just labeled as a med ball chest

pass the goal of a chest pass is to basically build some call it muscular

endurance in your upper body so it's really easy to say okay you know

what we're gonna do intervals of squatting in your legs are going to

become tired and lactic and you know essentially it's gonna become an aerobic

workout if you will it's very hard to have an aerobic workout with just your

arms so the idea being as these balls these nice light ones you can see I have

a 6 pounder here if I throw this against the wall I'm gonna throw it on the

cadence depending on what the time is asking of me so if I was gonna run 100

meters it's fast it's a sprint it's an effort that's like 10 seconds so if I

was 10 seconds against the wall well when I set up my feet are flat I'm just

straight I'm probably looking at a very quick aggressive cycle versus if I said

okay we're gonna do this for four minutes and I went out of the gate at

the speed that I just went at for 10 seconds I'm probably not sustaining that

for very long so the ideas of my goal is to have some sort of call it aerobic

endurance in my arms and I'm doing a chest pass I'm probably

moving at a much more steady speed because yes my arms are still gonna get

tired there's certainly that burning sensation lactic acid but again at a

speed in which I can sustain verses and then suffering through for whatever the

duration as two three four five six seven eight minutes the other thing to

take away from that was if we're throwing the ball to a partner I'll just

use the post as my partner as an example for a sec the goal is to think about

ball speed so it's easy to just catch it and throw out right back and catch it in

throw right back the idea is if you're gonna do a max box jump you would have to

kind of reset and reorganize every single time so when we're doing this med

ball pass let's think about maximum elbow speed or ball speed rather than

cycle speed so if the post was my partner for example and I was gonna do a

kneeling one-arm pass it would be

okay so we're gonna talk about how to pass

this ball to your partner now what you can do is you can get too caught up may

be thinking about cycling quickly rather than ball speed so what Andy and I are

thinking about is kind of again the speed of the ball the speed of the elbow

so as I pass a quick extension he passes back I catch so you can see we're kind

of taking our time rather than

and what we've lost there is accuracy speed and acceleration so if we go

through it good one more time so again he's gonna throw I catch

so that's kind of what we're looking for whether we're standing kneeling whatever

the only exception to this would be maybe the situp again where you want

more speed out of it because you might catch it on the way back but even that

like you should still be stabilizing coming back and then accelerating out of

there again
