Waching daily Nov 5 2018

hi guys welcome back to another money Monday video where we talk all about

making your wallet right on Monday if you're new to my channel hello my name

is Kat Theo and today I have a plant with me to make it look a little bit less

like I'm in a tub because I would not put a plant in my tub that would be

weird so today we're gonna talk about nine

ways you can make your car make you some money today there are two main things

you probably should understand if you're gonna make a lot of money in life one of

those things is a liability and an asset a liability is something that you buy

that takes money away from your wallet and an asset is something you can buy

that makes you money for most people their car is a liability but today we're

gonna make your car into an asset it's like something falling from my building

I don't know what that was so if you are an OG to my channel and you've been

following me for a little bit I've already talked about some of these ways

so we're just gonna get through the first few things out of our talked about

in other videos quickly and then we're going to talk about the new things in

detail later so let's get into it

so the first way you can turn your car into a money-making machine is by

driving kids around so in my last video I talked about Zum but there are tons

of children's transportation services all over the United States that you can

check out so Zum Kango and hopskipdrive are all located in the California

area kid car is in New York bubbl Dallas is in the Dallas area go kart is

in North Carolina area and kids cab is in Chicago if you are not located in any

of these places you can just type in kids transportation services into Google

with your city like Omaha or Seattle and you will see everything that comes up so

with all of these kids transportation services you will be fingerprinted have

a background check and it is important that you have a clean driving record

okay my second way your car can make you money is by roadie like I mentioned in

my other video roadie is an app that matches up people that need to get

something shipped with people that are already going in that direction so if

you're already going in that direction you can pick up this tangible item and

you can go wherever they need you to go the amount does vary from shipment to

shipment but the pay will be between $8 to $50 per shipment my third way you can

make money with your car is with shipt shipt is essentially delivering

groceries to customers you can make up to $25 an hour with shipt plus tips

another similar website to shift is Burpy wit Burpy they pay you by direct

deposit and you can actually choose when you are going to get paid so if you

decide you want to wait until you have a thousand dollars in the app you can do

that the fourth way is with Amazon flex like we talked about before

Amazon flex pays about 18 to 25 dollars an hour delivering Amazon packages you

do need commercial insurance, a as well as a clean driving record and a

background check but deliveries are available seven days a week so it's very

likely you will have a lot of options of deliveries the fifth way we talked about

in my other video is with Turo renting out your car when you're not using it so

if you are using your car during the week to get to work or to study but on

the weekends maybe you could use your mom's car or your friend's car or maybe

your friends can just pick you up then this could be a really good opportunity

for you to make some money while you're not using your car another app slash

website similar to Turo is get around get around website says that the average

renter makes about six thousand dollars a year on get around and on Turo it's

about six thousand five hundred dollars a year or renting out your car for

average of fifteen days okay now that's out the way let's talk about the new

ways you can make some money out of your car the six way is through lime juicing

lime juicing is essentially charging limes which are scooters around your

city that are dead or have a low battery so what you will do is you will use the

app to find where are the dead lime scooters and you will take them to your

house and you will charge them in your home these scooters take about five to

seven hours to charge completely and you'll be paid five to nine dollars per

scooter so if you can take like four to eight scooters at a time you can be

making you know pretty good money so if you combine lime juicing with some of

the other side hustles on this list you can be making an extra thirty forty

dollars an hour but we will get into that a little bit later I will link down

in the description box a post that I found on reddit of a real life lime juicer and he

talks about all his pros and cons of juicing my seventh way is Carvetise or

wrapify these are two companies that I have heard about in the past

which is essentially just wrapping your car with advertisement

the walking billboard I never mentioned it before because I didn't think you

could make that much money until one of my subscribers Jerry made a comment

saying that his daughter does this and makes seven hundred and fifty dollars a

month with just having this out of her car which I'm like that's crazy because

if you're already doing uber or lyft and you just have this on

your car that's an extra $750 a month like that

is not bad so to qualify with them you do need to have a clean driving record

and you have to drive at least thirty miles a day

my next way is go share so if you have a truck then you probably understand the

struggle of people always asking you to borrow your truck when they need to move

their stuff out their house or if they need to move an Ikea couch into their

home well now you can get paid to use your truck to rent it out to people and

also to help people move and things like that another similar website like this

to rent out your truck to other people is called buddy Turk my ninth site you

can use is called I carpool I'm like uber you can add trips that you already

commonly take on your morning commute or your evening commute also you don't have

to go searching for people and pick them up they all come to you so if you live

in the suburbs for example and you commute to the city every single day you

can put your trip that okay meeting point is at Walmart at 7 o'clock and I'm

gonna drop you off at the Apple store at 7:30 or 8 o clock however long it takes

you and everyone has to meet there you get in the car and go so you're actually

making money from the empty seats in your car and since you don't have to go

out of your way to give rides you're actually making money on routes you

already take every single day ICarpool doesn't say how much they pay per ride

but I imagine that it's something that you decide and

take a commission okay so those are my nine ways you can make your car make you

money but like I was saying if you combine multiple of these side hustles

together you can be making thousands of dollars a month just by having a car for

example if you combine Turo lime juicing carvetise and shipt every

month as well as if you already are doing uber or lyft you can be making a

ton of money and actually I'm really considering it it's not that bad of idea

if I were to buy a new car and I have to pay about $300 a month on that the

payment and I'm making let's say $4,000 a month

I am essentially getting a free car okay thanks so much for watching this video

if you have any other ways that you make money by using your car please let us

know because your comments are really helping us in helping the community know

how we can you know better our pockets and that's always really appreciated so

I will see you in the next video I love you guys bye

How Can You Manage Risk When Trading Futures? - Duration: 2:47.

Because trading futures involves highly leveraged transactions, futures traders often cite managing

risk as key to their long-term success.

So before you ever make a trade, develop a plan for risk management, and be sure to address

your risks from the account, the portfolio and the trade level.

At the account level, keep a close eye on your "margin-to-equity" ratio.

To calculate yours, divide the total margin requirements for all of your open contracts

by the total value in your account, otherwise known as your account equity.

For example, if your account is valued at $100,000 and the margin requirements on your

open contracts are $30,000, then your margin-to-equity ratio is 30%.

The higher your ratio; the higher your risk.

While there is no magic number, by keeping your margin-to-equity ratio below 30%, if

your positions move against you'll have a larger cushion available to help cover your

margin limits before you have to meet margin calls or be sold out.

At the portfolio level, you'll want to diversify your positions among markets where price movements

aren't correlated.

For example, soybeans, gold and crude oil typically trade independently of one another,

while the 5-year, 10-year and 30-year treasury bonds tend to move in tandem.

As you diversify, make sure you fully understand how markets you are considering move, trade

and correlate to the other positions in your portfolio.

Many traders choose to only risk a very small percent of their trading capital on any given

trade.

This allows them to weather a string of sequential losses and still have sufficient capital to

continue trading.

A good approach is to start small, develop your strategy and build confidence.

Additionally, using stop losses is a simple way to give yourself an opportunity to close

out he contracts that turn against you before they negatively impact your ability to continue

trading.

8 Strange Things That Can Happen When You Sleep - Duration: 13:07.

eight strange things that can happen

when you sleep the human brain is so

complex that we've never been 100% sure

we understand everything about it even

when they think they have the answer to

something researchers are still cautious

about their findings and this fact

especially applies to the mystery that

is the sleeping brain sure we have a

measured understanding of sleep cycles

thanks to fMRI scans but we still don't

know why certain things happen and when

it comes to sleep syndromes and

phenomena the mystery deepens precisely

because there are no set answers for why

the sleeping brain works when it's

healthy before we begin this video don't

forget to subscribe to our channel for

more daily tips like this and turn on

notifications so you never miss our new

videos now here are eight mysterious

sleep related phenomena some of which

you probably didn't know about number

one hypnagogic jerk

hypnagogic jerk also known as hypnic

jerk sleep start sleep twitch night

start or my clonic jerk occurs when a

person's body twitches as they begin to

fall asleep before you start dreaming

your body is usually paralyzed so it

doesn't act out the dream but on some

occasions

you might start dreaming before your

body is fully unplugged during a

hypnagogic jerk your body might react to

a sudden movement like falling or

tripping like with anything involving

the complexities of the brain

researchers aren't sure why this

happened

[Music]

number two sleep paralysis for centuries

cultures around the world have tried to

explain this phenomenon using

supernatural answers basically it

happens when the mind wakes up during

REM sleep when the body is at its most

relaxed to the point of being paralyzed

but researchers only know when it

happens not why today it's believed that

one in four people will experience sleep

paralysis

symptoms include breathlessness

inability to move or speak a sense of

dread and in some cases hallucinations

sleep paralysis can be extremely

frightening and it occurs when someone

is temporarily unable to speak or move

when they wake up scientists suggest

that sleep paralysis occurs when a

person is passing through the stages of

being awake and being asleep when some

people experience sleep paralysis they

may feel pressure on their chest or even

a sense of choking it can occur when

someone is falling asleep or just as

they are waking up there are many

different factors that may be linked to

sleep paralysis these factors include a

lack of sleep certain mental conditions

the use of certain medications substance

abuse and more if you experience sleep

paralysis you should speak to your

doctor to get to the root of the issue

and find out what is causing your sleep

paralysis your doctor may recommend

adjusting your sleep schedule while

asking specific questions about your

health to rule out the possibility of

any other sleep conditions number three

sleepwalking this disorder involves

waking up in the middle of the night and

doing all sorts of activities it's a

terrifying affliction because the person

doesn't remember that they did it and in

some cases they can hurt themselves the

causes of sleepwalking are a mystery

you're more propensity be a sleepwalker

if it runs in your family but

researchers still don't understand how

or why it originates in the brain have

you experienced any of these strange

sleep related phenomena keep watching

for some even more strange things that

can happen to us while we're asleep

number four sleep talking also known as

somniloquy this is a disorder where

sleeping person talks the things they

say can range from mumbling - shouting -

long and complicated rants like with

most sleep disorders we know when it

happens during the sleep cycle but we

still don't understand what triggers it

other than hereditary reasons

number-5 Nocturnals sleep-related

eating-disorder NS re d also known as

sleep eating this is a type of

sleepwalking that's closely tied to a

person's conscious wants and desires for

food it's considered to be both a sleep

disorder and eating disorder because the

person is fulfilling a desire they

suppress while they're awake like with

sleepwalking the person doesn't realize

they're eating and they can't remember

any of it the next day

nocturnal sleep related eating disorder

is similar to other sleeping disorders

such as restless leg syndrome or even

sleepwalking this sleep disorder most

often begins in a person's 30s and can

be caused by anxiety or extreme stress

although scientists are still unable to

determine the underlying causes sleep

clinics which have studied this disorder

state that this nighttime eating usually

occurs during Delta sleep which is a

deep sleep which occurs right before REM

sleep begins number 6 night terror the

difference between a night terror and a

nightmare is that a night terror

involves specific actions night terrors

involve screaming panic sleepwalking and

thrashing around on the bed like most

sleep disorders it's believed to be

congenital however no one understands

why it happens other than the fact that

it gets inherited and it's mostly

children who experience it there are

many different symptoms associated with

night terrors in children common

symptoms include shouting quickened

heartbeat and breathing thrashing

sweating and more night terrors occur

why a person is in a deep sleep

the person experiencing the night

terrors does not usually have any memory

of the night terror the next day night

terrors are not dreams but are rather a

sudden reaction to a person's

experiences as he or she transitions

from one stage of sleep to another stage

of sleep night sweats typically occur

roughly two to three hours after a

person has fallen asleep this is when

sleep moves from non REM sleep to

lighter

REM sleep this transition from non REM

sleep to lighter

REM sleep is usually a smooth transition

however in cases where a person

experiences night terrors he or she can

become extremely frightened during this

transition

resulting in night terrors night terrors

occur in only about 3 to 6 percent of

children things that can cause night

terrors include stress not enough sleep

adapting to a new sleep environment

certain medications and more although

there is no treatment for night terrors

there are certain things parents can do

to try to prevent them this includes

reducing a child stress creating a

relaxing bedtime routine ensuring a

child is getting enough rest and more

although adults can experience night

terrors they are more common in children

if you or your child begins to

experience night terrors speak to your

doctor to find out what may be causing

the night terrors and what you can do to

prevent them number 7

exploding head syndrome this painless

syndrome involves a person hearing an

explosive noise before they fall asleep

it can sometimes feel like an explosion

is taking place inside the person's head

it's considered a type of sleep disorder

and an unusual type of hallucination

that happens to people who are in

between being asleep and awake the

causes are unknown

scientists are unsure what causes

exploding head syndrome although some

suggest that it is possible that it's

associated with minor temporal lobe

seizures some scientists also theorize

that exploding head syndrome may be

caused by shifts of middle ear

components other causes of exploding

head syndrome include stress or anxiety

when a person experiences an attack they

do not feel any pain but may experience

shortness of breath due to their

increased heart rate some people also

state that they see flashes of bright

light during an episode exploding head

syndrome most commonly affects people

over the age of 50 number 8 out-of-body

experience

OBE while this isn't a sleep disorder

it's still interesting to note an OBE

involves the feeling of floating or

observing one's body from the outside

out-of-body experiences are unrelated to

sleep disorders researchers classify it

as a disassociative experience with a

psychological and neurological cause it

has nothing to do with the spirit

leaving the body and it's most likely

due to a temporary brain malfunction

Hines 2003 the human body is a

mysterious and often puzzling thing

sometimes our bodies do things that we

just can't explain and when we're

sleeping we're in our most vulnerable

States

there are all sorts of odd things that

our bodies can do while we're sleeping

some of these things can be explained

while others not so much from

sleepwalking to sleep talking to

out-of-body experiences and everything

in between there is quite an air of

mystery about what is going on in our

brains when we are sleeping it can be a

little bit terrifying and even creepy to

think about but as modern technology and

medicine evolves maybe we'll be able to

get some answers to these questions if

you notice that your sleeping patterns

have changed or that you have developed

a sleeping disorder but are not sure

what is causing it speak to your doctor

try to reduce the amount of caffeine you

drink and make sure that you are getting

adequate rest every night remember our

bodies need rest sleep rejuvenates us

and helps us recover after a long day if

you notice any strange changes to your

sleep cycle speak to your doctor about

what you can do to get it back on track

what strange things have you done while

you are asleep let us know in the

Your Home is Sick! [2018 Energy Efficiency Updates] - Duration: 2:21.

An unventilated attic essentially acts like a pond you want

fresh water coming in and fresh water coming out now if you stop that fresh

water from coming in and leaving the leads to a stagnant pond. Your attic

works the same way creating an ecosystem of mold, viruses, bacteria, and all sorts of

breathing problems. Our products not only increase energy efficiency and create

comfort, they're designed to protect the home from unwanted temperatures, promote

health, and save you money every day. First, a coat of liquid cool thermal

paint and enbodied with nano ceramic micro beaded technology is applied to insulate

any structure from hot and cold temperatures. We then pump KOOLBlue

right into your AC unit. A synthetic additive designed to increase air flow

and performance while decreasing maintenance. Seventy percent of the heat

transfer comes from your attic. In science cold does not exist, heat always

seeks out cold with attic temperatures up to one hundred and fifty degrees all

of that unwanted heat then forces its way into your living space. We add our KOOLBlanket

multi-layered insulation that blocks up to 97% of the radiant heat

entering your home during the summer months and just the opposite in the

winter time. Insulating all of that heat during

colder months. We then install our KOOLSpin solar fans which ventilate up to

1,200 cubic feet of air per minute to properly ventilate your attic. At the

same time removing all of that unwanted moisture and dust. Since we primarily

spend that most of the time inside our homes we focused on creating a healthier

indoor environment for our families and pets. Our Eco Probiotic System is

connected directly to your home central air and disperses trillions of

microscopic probiotics through all the air all the objects and all the services

throughout your home. And all of our case studies show a reduction in harmful

bacteria dust mites and allergens. So don't wait get a free energy efficiency

audit today.

going to workshop with a bipolar crazy beast

now we're not crazy we're just unique fun we have some ups and downs we have

our struggles but at the same time we have our spunk

and you know what you got to have a little bit energy when you got the

energy to express it express it express it any way you want to if you want to

What Kind of Futures Can You Trade? - Duration: 2:30.

The futures market is quite diverse, providing an opportunity to trade contracts based on

a wide variety of physical commodities and financial instruments.

Let's first look at what's included under physical commodities starting with metals

and energy.

Within metals are both precious metals, like gold, silver and platinum, and industrial

metals like copper and steel.

Traders often turn to precious metals as a safe haven in times of uncertainty, and as

a possible hedge against inflation.

Next on the list are energy futures including crude oil, gasoline, natural gas, and heating

oil.

With energy futures, traders often look for opportunities brought on by geopolitical events

and shifts in supply and demand.

Agricultural products also fall under physical commodities.

They include grains, livestock, dairy, lumber, biofuels and softs.

Softs generally refer to food and fiber that are grown rather than mined, and include orange

juice, cotton, coffee, sugar, and cocoa.

Agricultural commodities are not only affected by geopolitical events, they are also affected

by something even less predictable – the weather.

So if weather conditions are unfavorable, and you think that will drive the price of

grain up, you could initiate a trade using futures that allows you to express that opinion.

Now, turning to the financial instruments, this diverse category covers: foreign currencies,

interest rates, indices, and now, cryptocurrencies.

Financial futures are the largest group of contracts that trade virtually 24-hours a

day.

Keep in mind that each futures contract has its own trading characteristics and behaviors,

so you really need to understand them before you start trading.

If the diversity of the futures market intrigues you, check out the next video to learn how

futures contracts work.

How To Beat Information Overload - Duration: 9:12.

are you trying to build the business online but find yourself feeling

overwhelmed or stuck you really can't figure out what actions to take what

steps to take or maybe you've been doing it for a while but you're just not

seeing results and you kind of feel a loss well stay tuned because in this

video I'm gonna give you some helpful tips that I learned from my entrepreneur

journey to really help you get past that overwhelming feeling of I don't know

what to do and that's coming up right now

what's going on guys my name is Gabe Ekemezie and I'm your internet marketing

guy and welcome to my channel on my channel I talked everything

entrepreneurship and I helped you build a business and brand that you are proud

of so that you can live the life that you deserve so this is your very first

time on my channel feel free to subscribe and help the channel grow I

really appreciate the support and today I really want to talk about how to get

over this feeling of not really knowing what to do or feeling overwhelmed you

know where you want to go you see other people there and you just can't seem to

figure out the steps to get to that point so as an entrepreneur especially

if you're just getting started this is a very common thing to have so don't beat

yourself up about it it happens to the best of us it happened to me too when I

first got started I was a student back then and I realized you know I want to

start you know making some extra money on the side and I think doing something

online would be the best way to do that so I started researching started looking

up different things I saw other people doing it but as I started going deeper

and deeper into it I started getting overwhelmed and realizing wow there's a

lot of things to do that I don't even know what to do like where do I even

start I don't even know how to sell anything

like what do I do and that's one thing I really want to address first it's this

thing called information overload and I'm sure you heard of it if you've been

in any of the space for any amount of time but if you haven't information

overload is basically when you overload your mind with all the stuff that you

think you need to do in order to accomplish what you want to accomplish

and this is a really dangerous place to be and it's not your fault that you end

up even being in the situation actually it's the school systems that really do

this to us let me give you an example when we're in

school we learned that we have to study hard so that we can do good and test the

point is to learn as much information as we can perfect that knowledge so that on

the test we make less mistakes as mistakes equals better grades better

grades equals opportunities praise the whole nine yards and so when we take

that mentality and we bring it into real life when we bring it into building a

business or being entrepreneur that doesn't really work because you can't

really learn everything to be able to ace the test of entrepreneurship doesn't

really work like that in fact the way that you learn in entrepreneurship and

in business is to just do it is to just get started which is my first tip to you

guys you just got to get started on something because you're not gonna be

able to develop learn what you need to learn and

provides and change things that are not working if you don't have anything to

work with it's kind of like trying to renovate a house when you don't have a

house to begin with that makes no sense gotta build the house first and then you

realize you know I really like the way the kitchen looks and then you renovate

you remodel and you change things up same thing applies to starting an online

business you just got to start somewhere so don't let the overwhelm of looking at

the grand scale picture of things confuse you and really hold you back

from starting something and there's another great example you could be the

world's expert in knowing how to ride a bike I mean I'm talking you got the PhD

and riding a bike you've studied by ecology and the study of pedal ology or

whatever you know you get what I'm saying right you know all the theory

everything in terms of knowledge when it comes to riding a bike you can study

this for 30 40 50 years but until you get on an actual bike sit down and try

and write it you'll never actually know how to ride a bike in fact even with all

those years of experience and knowledge I promise you the first time you got on

a bike you're gonna fall it's just gonna happen you're gonna fall again and again

and again it's not until you actually learn the mechanics of riding a bike and

you actually get the the muscle memory of riding a bike and then that's when

the knowledge that you know as well as the implementation and the experience

that you get from riding the bike come together and then you can ride that bike

same thing applies for building a business you can sit and try and figure

out everything but that doesn't matter even if you did know everything it's not

going to really help you unless you pick something and implement first it's the

implementation along with the information that's gonna help you

actually get clarity on where you want to go my second tip I have for you is

pick one direction there are many different places you can go do I start a

YouTube channel do I create a blog do I build an email list do I create a

product or sell are the people's products do I do affiliate marketing and

network marketing or e-commerce and drop shipping there's a lot of different ways

that you can make money online and there's a lot of different routes that

you can go so for you in order to clear up this whole feeling of overwhelm and

feeling stressed out about not knowing what to do you just need to pick one

thing and start with that one thing so when I first got started I saw people

had blogs and websites and all this kind of stuff and it was kind

confusing for me so then I realized I just have to pick one thing and stick

with that one thing so I started making videos and I suck at it it was terrible

I just kept going at it and I started putting my videos on YouTube but then

that's when I started building traction and then from there I started learning

okay I need a website now oh I need to create a capture page or a landing page

to get people onto my email list so I got to start emailing now and and you

know things just kind of sprout from there but I picked one thing I picked

one direction and I focused on that one direction so pick one direction and

focus on that first yes you can learn multiple things and nobody said that you

can't eventually do multiple things because obviously and clearly okay it

can be done but people learn multiple things well by learning one thing at a

time well and especially as a beginner you want to start learning one thing at

a time same thing goes for what kind of business do you want to build do you

want to do a philia marketing do you want to do network marketing do you want

to build your own products pick one that you resonate with most something that

you feel that would be a good mix for you and the more you do it the more

you'll learn and the more you'll know what you need to learn in order to

master that thing and make it work for you my third and final tip is seek

mentors now I know you've probably heard of this before but when I first got

started this confused me a little bit because I was like oh work I got a

mentor I'm let's do it in you know I don't know any famous people who let

alone any successful entrepreneurs you know how am I supposed to just walk up

to some old guy and ask them can you mentor me that's kind of weird I

realized that what you can do is you can follow mentors okay and what I mean by

this is you can have digital mentors follow people that inspire you follow

people who've gone through what you're going through and who can give you some

guidance based off of their life experience and it doesn't matter whether

they're currently here or you know passed on for example Jim Rohn was one

of my first mentors and he was an amazing mentor to me his content is

still on YouTube he still has courses and seminars that I started to dive and

deep with and learn as much as I can he really helped change my perspective he

helped me with my personal development he owe me get the mindset of being an

entrepreneur down first and built that foundation for me the list goes on and

on and on of mentors that you can follow so find people that do what

do and follow them and emulate them in whatever space that you're doing whether

it's entrepreneurship whether it's a brand whether you're trying to be a

youtuber whatever it is follow those people and learn from them okay but

don't get stuck and just watching their lives this could also be a problem okay

watch what they do learn from them but then also turn back and implement and

take action in your own life focus on what you can be doing in your

circumstances in your situation to help you move the needle forward other great

mentors can be found in books in audiobooks which is my personal favorite

websites social media accounts whatever you can find even if you can go to

seminars that's great too so fine mentors out mentors help cut your

learning curve and have to help you save you a lot of heartache a lot of time and

really serve as some inspiration and motivation to get you to where you want

to go alright guys so I hope this video helps if you're feeling stuff if you're

feeling overwhelmed if you're not really sure what action steps to take remember

guys that it's okay to feel that way especially if you're just getting

started focus on that one thing and take action on that one thing consistently

when you do that the doors seem to open up and you really start to figure out

what the next step is for you if you liked this video give it a thumbs up

Episode 39: What do I say when someone asks 'Who told you?' - Duration: 1:55.

'Who told you?' That's a question that people often get asked when they raise

an issue with someone that someone else has reported to them that they've not

seen themselves. I've got three tips that will help you address that question.

Often you might find yourself having to have a difficult conversation about an

issue you've not actually witnessed yourself. Someone from your team has come

and reported something to you, maybe several people have, and it's part of

your responsibility to tackle that. When we do, people often ask that question 'who

told you?' and that they really need to know. Here are three ways you can handle

it. Tip one is if the person was happy for

you to share their name and you feel it's not inappropriate, then you can say

who told them as long as you've got permission for it. The second way you can

handle it is you can tell the person asking you that you were told in

confidence and that the person doesn't want to be named and you would do the

same if it was them reporting an issue in confidence. The third tip is you can

say to them: the issue we're talking about is not who told me, the issue is...

and then whatever the issue is. You want to end the conversation about who told

you as quickly as possible because it can distract you and the other person

from dealing with the real issue and that can lead to an unsuccessful

difficult conversation. If you find yourself in that situation, give it a go

and let me know. And remember you can get these top tips every week directly into

your inbox by signing up at ukheadsup.com/headsuptv and if

How to Connect with Your Audience - Duration: 8:18.

Hi I'm Hattie Voelcker, and what I'd like to talk to you today about is how to

really connect with your audience, and to do this I'm going to talk about what the

audience really wants from a performance. Often as not, when we're going to

perform we think about what we want to happen in the performance, and what's

important is to think about what the audience wants, and what we want them to

take away from in a performance. What the audience really wants is simply a good

performance, and they don't want a bad performance. Maybe every now and again

there's somebody who wants us to do badly, but it's a rare occurrence. They

want a good performance, they want a memorable experience, they want to

experience something informative, emotional, enjoyable. They want to go away

having had a memorable experience and we want them going away having had a good,

memorable experience, and something that's been worth their investment of

time ,and of money if that's appropriate. So how do we give them what they want?

Because we've all been to performances, whether at they're of a speech or a song

or just a talk, where we've been grabbed by the person from from "Hello" and we've

also experienced performances where we've be left cold. Where we are distracted and

we start planning our next meal, and we are totally not engaged with what's

going on. So what distinguishes the two? What's the difference? I've seen all

sorts of tips in researching this. Tips and tricks on how to engage your

audience, how to captivate your audience and they all relate to specific examples.

Whether it's a gigging musician or someone wanting to do a decent speech,

they all are particular tips and tricks related to that particular sort of

performance. In reality what engages an audience is the same across the board,

whatever sort of performer you are, and that is about having a relationship

with your audience. Engaging your audience is about having the right sort

of relationship with your audience and the key is to build a relationship in

which they feel engaged, they feel valued, and they feel connected. Now how do we do

that? Well all relationships are about information and energy flow. When we are

in a relationship, whether it's a five-minute conversation with somebody, a

wave across the road, or a proper full-blown relationship with somebody we

are exchanging energy and information with that person during the relationship,

and with our audience it's about the right sort of energy flow in the

space, and that goes from the simple energy flow of the sound that we produce

with our voices hitting the eardrums and vibrating the eardrums, to the energy of

the information within the words and what we're saying,

or seeing and the energy of the visual, so the light energy, what they're seeing,

how they perceive us visually. The emotional energy as well, what they are

perceiving emotionally, and I've talked about mirror neurons and how that

transfers between us, and you can take a look at my blogs on mirror neurons to

find out more about that. In return we get energy from them in the same way, in

their response. So it may be in their applause, if it's appropriate and we get

it! It can be in their visual expressions, it can just be in their energy that we

feel. We can tell when an audience is with us, and we can tell when an audience

isn't. I've certainly had experiences where I look around a room and go "You're not with

me!" and then I have to shift, and I have to attune to them and change my energy

to connect with them again, and engage them. So this exchange of energy is what

defines the relationship and it defines how they perceive us, and how

we perceive them. It also defines their experience of the performance, and our

experience of the performance. For it to be the right sort relationship the

energy and information flow has to be congruent with what they're expecting

from the performance, or from what they're expecting from what they see so

if it's a fight scene in a play then what they see and what they hear has to

add up and the emotions have to tie in with that as well. It all has to have a

resonance in itself, and this means more than just getting the sound right and

the words right, it means the bigger picture has to be

right. As I said the visual has to accord with what we're hearing, and more than

that the emotional has to has to accord with visual and the oral. It all has to

make sense because if it doesn't then there's discord and discord can make us

feel uncomfortable. If we're watching a nervous performer, we can feel nervous

and then we want to disconnect sometimes, or we start thinking about the performer

and how they're feeling and how we worry about them, rather than in simply

enjoying the performance. It can also leave us cold because if it's all shiny

and perfect and we're not drawn in and pulled in and feel part of the

performance, then we disengage and that's when we start planning our next meal. If

we're just listening to a nice sound that's neither pleasant or unpleasant or

maybe it is pleasant, but it's a nice background noise, then we're not fully

engaged we don't feel connected with the performer, and we disconnect as an

audience. So how do we get the right energy flow? To do this we have to

attune with what's going on so we can attune with our audience, and this means

committing to the message of what we're doing. It means committing

to the emotion and committing to the sound, as well as to what we're doing

visually, and committing to it fully. Leaning into it to do that we have to

let go of our insecurities and we have to let go of our worries because they

get in the way of that connection, and they get in the way of us committing, and

if we don't commit then the audience sees the worries, they sees see the

disconnect, and that's the energy and information flow they get, and it's not

the energy and information flow we want them to have because they'll go away

with a memorable experience for the wrong reasons, or they just won't

remember it at all. So my question to you today is - how are your worries and your

fears serving you today, about performance? Because my suspicion is

they're not serving you at all, they're getting in the way of you being your

best, and producing your best, and really connecting with your audience. If you can

dare to let them go, then that's where the magic happens.

That's when you really engage your audience and they can really engage with

you, because you are open and you are vulnerable, and you are honest and

authentic in what you're doing, because you have leant into the experience. So the

one true way to connect with your audience is to let go of your fears and

let go of your insecurities. Thank you for listening. Bye bye.

The FIRST picture of Earth and the moon! - Duration: 3:39.

It is an absolute world premiere.

We might have to go back a few steps to get two people together in a picture, but it's

a bit more difficult to take a picture of the Earth and Moon.

Nobody had done it yet.

SO FAR!

Now, for the first time NASA has succeeded in getting the Earth and Moon together from

a distance in a picture.

What does it look like?

How did NASA manage that?

Now on Clixoom Science & Fiction.

Welcome!

The Earth and its Moon are 390,000 kilometers, about 242000

miles apart.

This makes it fairly clear that a "photographer" must also have to be located approximately

that distance away in order to take a picture at all.

Our photographer's name is "Osiris-Rex".

Actually, the probe is on its way to the asteroid Bennu, an asteroid that could come dangerously

close to Earth.

In 150 years this could be the case: Around 2169

to 2199, yet the risk is still rather low.

In 2135, according to the previous calculations, it

will be closer to the earth than the moon and could then be pulled into a collision

course by the gravitation of the earth and the moon.

Despite the low risk, it is one of the most dangerous asteroids we know of.

The addition "Know of" is crucial, because according to research, two major asteroids

crash on earth each year, mostly in remote areas, or in an angle, like in Chelyabinsk

in 2013, which caused only material damage.

Nasa wants to know more about Bennu now and so they sent the probe to investigate it.

It is an ideal research object.

Discovered in 1999, it is 492 meters, about 540 yards in diameter on course towards Earth

and thus relatively close.

Osiris Rex is scheduled to take soil samples from the 62 million-ton chunk in 2020

and return it to Earth in 2023 . But on its way Osiris Rex reached an ideal

position on its way to Bennu on his 650 million kilometer, about 400 million miles long track

to capture Earth and Moon in one image.

5 million and 420 thousand kilometers about 3.3 million miles from the moon and 5 million

and 120 thousand kilometers or about 3.2 million miles from the earth: Click.

The photo was shot in October 2017, but has only now been analysed enough so that

it looks reasonable.

The two celestial bodies have different brightnesses and so the picture had to be takenseveral

times and then added together like with an HDR recording, so a high dynamic range recording

and voila here it is.

Absolute madness.

I might hang that up as a poster!

You're free to download NASA photos and print them.

If you enjoyed this video, check out our video "3 hours to mars" and check out how far

out in space new technology might take us!

And if you want to stay up to date on the Bennu mission, subscribe to my channel and

don't forget to hit the bell to never miss a new video right here on Clixoom!

stay tuned and see you soon
