Waching daily May 1 2017

Hi, how are you today? This is Greg from

www.onlinelanguageacademy.com and in this

video I'm going to be answering a

question I received on our Facebook page

and it's about the difference between

tell, say, speak and talk. So let's go!

Right, let's first start by looking at

the difference between say and tell.

This is a really, really common mistake among

language learners, English language

learners, like you and I talk about it

in my free eBook English Quick Fix.

It's one of the 16 steps to take your English

to the next level. Click the e-book.

So, say and tell. Basically the rule is simple,

we say something and we tell someone.

All right? So the verb you need depends on what follows the verb.

So, what follows the verb?

A person, like me, him, her, Andrew,

Peter, or a thing, a phrase, like happy birthday!

I went shopping. You look nice today.

All right, we need to think what follows

the verb and that will tell us which verb we need.

Let's have a look at some

examples and that's really going to help

us see it in context and understand this rule.

Okay, so let's first have a look at some examples with tell:

I've already told you the answer three times.

I've already told you the answer three times.

So the person is you, I've already told you the answer three times.

We can't say, say you,

we can't follow say by a person.

If the next word is a person we need tell.

Let's have a look at another example:

My students tell me, my students tell me

that they love my YouTube channel.

Okay, the person is ME, my students tell me

they love my YouTube channel and if you do too click subscribe.

Third example is:

Katy told Peter that she wanted to eat out.

Katy told Peter, so the person is Peter.

Katy told Peter that she wanted to eat out.

Okay, so if the next word is a person we use tell.

Now let's have a look at some examples with say.

Remember, we follow say with a phrase: Joe said he was coming to the party.

Alright, so the phrase is: he was coming

to the party or he is coming to the party.

Joe said that, Joe said that he was coming to the party.

This is reported speech. Okay, and when we use reported

speech we always use say.

Example two: If you see Jill say hello from me,

if you see Jill say hello from me, say happy birthday from me.

Example three: Rob said it wasn't fair and left the meeting.

Rob said it wasn't fair and left the meeting.

Okay, so again it's a phrase:

it wasn't fair. This is a phrase so we need said.

Now, speak and talk are very similar.

We speak a language. I speak English, I

speak Spanish, I also speak French and I

speak a little bit of Italian, speak a language.

But when we're talking about

communication, all right, speak is... it's

a more formal, it has a more

formal and serious tone. And it also has

more of a one-way communication.

Like I'm speaking to you, okay?

You're not replying to me, but I'm speaking to you.

Talk is more like two-way conversation

So if you are ever in the Chicago area

call me and we can meet for coffee and we

can talk about life, we can talk about

this, we can talk about your studies, we

can talk about whatever you want .

Okay, so talk is more

two-way, speak is more one-way and we

also speak a language, we don't talk a language.

Knee Strengthening Exercises - Ask Doctor Jo - Duration: 9:52.

Hey everybody, it's Doctor Jo, and today

I'm going to show you some knee

strengthening exercises. Let's get started.

So I'm going to start off with some pretty

simple exercises, and then we will

progressively get to a little bit harder

exercises. So we're going to start off in

the chair first, and just a simple kick

out with your leg is going to work those

quad muscles for your knee. And those

quads are connected to the knee cap,

which is really important to help all

that strengthening there. So make sure

you're sitting comfortably in the chair,

make sure that your back is supported so

you don't have to worry about your

posture, sitting nice and upright and

just really slowly kick out and try and

straighten out that leg as much as you

can. Pulling up your toes helps kind of

lock everything out when you come up and

then slowly come back down, so it's a

really controlled movement. You're not

just dropping your leg back down. So even

if you don't have any weights, if you go

nice and slow, squeeze at the end, you

really get a good workout in those quad

muscles. If you can do 20 or 25 pretty

easily, then you can add some ankle

weights if you have just something like

a 2-3 pound that works great, and so it

would be the same kind of thing, nice

slow controlled movement. At the end

squeezing, making sure that muscle

tightens, and then slowly come back down.

So once you have the weight on there,

make sure you're not just dropping it

down because that might cause some

injury, really control that movement both

up and down. So start off with just about

10, do a couple sets of 10, and then if

that's pretty easy, the next day then

start working your way up from there.

Then the next one is going to be for

your hip, but it's still working the knee

because they're all connected, so this

time just coming up this movement. So

those hip flexors that are all

kind of connected into the thigh and the

knee, and again that

slow controlled motion up and down. If

that gets pretty easy, again you can add

on that ankle weight and control up and

slowly back down. So even if you want to

do a count of three: one, two, three for

that control, one, two, three. That makes it

a little bit harder so you don't have to

do 20 or 30 before you get tired. If you

go really slow, that's going to really

work those muscles to help get you

stronger. The next exercise is going to

be a simple sit to stand progression. So

to start off with, it's going to be just

like it sounds. You're going to go from

sit to stand, but working on the muscles

instead of using momentum to get up. So

the best way to do that is put your feet

about shoulder width apart. You want them

to stay flat. A lot of times when people

go up and down they try to get on the

balls of their feet, but you want to keep

weight equal in the front and the back

in the heels, so when you come up you

want to lean your upper body forward to

get the weight shifted to the front. So

it's going to be coming up this way, and

then nice and controlled come back down,

but when you come back down to the

sitting, try and keep those knees behind

your toes as well. Sometimes people when

they do a squat try and come down like

this. So when you use the chair, it really

helps you to have a target. So just nice

and slow controlling it, try not to plop

down. Sometimes if you don't have a lot

of strength in the knees and the legs

and the hips, you kind of end up plopping

down, but really try and control that

coming back down getting that nice

smooth motion. If this is pretty easy

coming up and down, then try it without

actually sitting all the way down. So

your bottom is just going to tap the

chair now, but it's still going to be

there, so if you feel like you can't get

all the way back up, you can just sit

back down in the chair. So this time you

come up,

tap down, and then back up. So again still

keep your upper body fairly straight,

you're moving at your hips, you're

pushing your hips back. Like for the

women know, if you're squatting over the

toilet, men might not understand that, but

you really have to get that booty back,

and come back up. But my knees are

staying behind my toes, so it's not this.

It's coming back like that. So once that

becomes easy, then you can do the squats

without touching the chair at all. So

you're just coming down and back up

doing the squats, but I recommend keeping

the chair there just in case you get

tired and you need to sit down, that it's

there just in case, but keeping that good

form, knees behind the toes, back straight,

sticking the butt back, and then coming

down now. If the chair's too low, you can

also add a little box or something to

make it so you don't have to go down as

far. So then you're only squatting to

about here, and then you're tapping

whatever is in the chair so you can do

it building it up and taking it down

lower. If all of those are easy, then you

can go to squatting with one foot. I

suggest with that, if you're going to do

a one leg squat, have a countertop or put

the chair in front of you. So this time

you would want it in front of you

because a lot of times if people are

going to go, they're going to go forward

with the one leg squat versus backwards.

So just on one foot start off slow with

just a little squat there so you don't

have to go super far, but if you feel

like you're going to fall, you've got

something to hold on to, and you can even

start holding on still trying to keep

that knee pretty much behind the toe, and

coming up, and then you can go without

holding on.

The next one's going to be a step-up. For

step-ups, the best thing to do is

actually on a step where there's rails,

so you have something to hold on to for

balance if you need to. You can use just

a step if you've got a box of solid box

of something, some boards to make it

different heights, you can do that

because you might want to start off with

something small just like two inches. So

maybe even if you have a curb somewhere

where you can work on that would be good

too, but just make sure that you're doing

it safely, you have something to hold on

to even if it's a cane or stick or

somebody else, but make sure that if your

balance isn't great, you're using

something to hold on to. With the step up,

same thing, you want it to be controlled.

You don't want to use momentum to do it,

so I like having people start off with

their foot staying on the step the whole

time, but going in that slow controlled

motion where I tell people to count to

three. So you're going to go up one, two,

three, and then down one, two, three. So

it's not just up and down where you're

using momentum, you want to make sure

those muscles are engaging and working

and getting stronger. So again nice and

slow up and slow coming back down. So as

you can see, if you slow it down you're

only going to need to do about ten if

you can get to 20-25 really easily, then

you might want to try a higher step. If

you're having a really hard time, you

feel like you have to jump up on the

step, then make sure you take it back

down to just one or two inches to start

off with. So make sure that it's

something you can do in a controlled

motion, and then go up or down from there.

The last exercise is going to be a lunge. So

for the lunges, having the target is

going to be different for the step ups.

The higher the target is easier, the

smaller the target is going to be a

little bit harder. So if you start off

with the lunges, you might want something

a little higher a box or a little step

in between because you're going to do a

lunge, and if the target is higher you

don't have to go down as far, so you just

want to go

to where your knee kind of touches the

target. So for example, here it's just

tapping on that box, but my upper body

should stay pretty upright and my knee

shouldn't go in front of my toes, so I'm

not doing that lunge motion, I'm going

straight down trying to keep my upper

body fairly straight. So you can see if I

touch the target there, I'm not going all

the way to the floor so if that becomes

easy, all i have to do is take that out

of the way, and then go all the way down

and just tap the floor. But same thing if

the box is too hard then you just keep

building it up and you can start just

from there and have that target to tap

on. So again just starting off with 10

making sure you're going slow and

controlled, switching sides after you do

that, and then working your way up from

there. Whoo! I feel like this guy after all

those exercises. Those were your knee

strengthening exercises. If you'd like to

Tony Robbins: Endure The Pain of Change Yourself ( Tony Robbins Depression ) - Duration: 15:10.

Many years ago I was asked a very

interesting question somebody asks the

question I raised the hand the seminar

dad Tony can you change people that

don't want to change of course you can

change people don't want to change all

you need is the right kind of if you

have enough leverage where change

becomes an absolute now for some people

leverage is not even the threat of their

own life some people rather die and have

you tell them what to do and so that's

not the leverage the leverage for them

might be something for their children

leverage them might be spiritual growth

all of us have a leverage point if you

find the leverage not the leverage you

make someone do it the leverage that

will make them make themselves do it we

all have some place that'll get us to

follow through now if you get enough

leverage and if you interrupt the

pattern enough how many of you ever had

a pattern when you're a kid and you had

like some of not just uncle or something

and you were trying to be upset may come

like rub your damn head or some bitch

make you crazy and you couldn't stay

upset because they kept doing this to

you how many others happens that if you

have enough leverage and you break

someone's pattern at at times a new

pattern will show up if you're conscious

you can create the new pattern so the

answer is yes now then the question

would be Tony if all it takes is

leverage then why don't most people

change I had a lot of answers to that

but that night I'm a night person that

night I'm wired up after a seminar it's

like 2 o'clock in the morning was

December and so I flip on the television

the back person white noise looking for

CNN and I come across the old Christmas

classic this Christmas Carol right a

Dickens classic and I see it in black

and white and I start watching the movie

and a memory of her being a kid and as

I'm watching this thing I see this man

named Scrooge

who clearly doesn't want to change in

fact he's certain he doesn't need to

change because what's happened is his

life went through a lot of pain and when

he got pain he looked for the source of

that pain and he said it was being close

to people so we decided his people

equals pain member the red square as we

talked it up so now he wants to avoid

people and he's mean to people now he's

also very wealthy financially he makes

up this belief because I mean and tough

with people I'm rich the truth is he's

financially rich if he wants the movie

he read the story when everyone else is

gone who's still working he is he's

hard-working he's 50 smart he's

intelligent but he thinks he's rich

because he's lean so he doesn't want to

lose being rich he doesn't want to lose

not being hurt so he has a belief do you

mean the people in everything works out

even though he's miserable can we have

beliefs that make no sense and yet still

believe them yes or no sure we just get

wired so I'm watching this guy now the

only way people change is if they

associate either enough what paying so

they have to change or the associate

changing will equal enough what and

ideally if you get both you'll change if

you get every moment I do this the pain

is getting more and more tense there's a

point where you must change and if you

get if I change they get no pleasure

you're going to want to change how many

follow but what equals pain and what

equals pleasure is what you associate

your nervous system so what happens is

the only way you create change is

changing what you link pain and what you

link pleasure to in your nervous system

not just in your head and you've got

that's what controls you lots of times

in your head you know what you should do

but your gut takes over your fear or

your greed or your desire or your

comfort or whatever who knows what I'm

talking about here say I but watch this

how many of you used to have a favorite

dessert or a food or a form of alcohol

that you really really really loved and

then one night you add make

experience like never before where

something happens where this food this

drink of this alcohol that you love so

much

he went down but it kept coming back up

at a level of intensity and with enough

aroma and gain association then to this

day it takes little willpower just to

think of that alcohol or think of the

smell of that fruit or look at it makes

you appalled makes you repelled who's

that it experienced like this in your

life say I tell me what that change was

was that a change in willpower no all

that happened is your brain changed what

used to link pleasure to and now link

pain - were you thinking of thing it

takes the willpower you're going to

avoid it the problem is so are you

linking paying the things you need like

exercise right or pain what you need

like a relationship all right and it's

the wrong Association that's going to

control your life your job is to change

what you link pain and pleasure to so

that night what was pleasure became pain

and not takes in the willpower you just

avoid it

so we call that changing what you

associate the things in your nervous

system or for short a neuro associative

change now there is changing in your

neuro your nervous system what you

associate pain and pleasure to so by the

way in this Christmas Carol story

does this man Scrooge change his life

yes or no he didn't want to change does

he change his life a little more

completely and by the way how fast

heartbeat one evening how does it happen

three neuro societal conditioning

specialists show up at his house right

we go show up and what do they do they

give the link a massive unbearable

amount of what to all the things he did

in the past around people then they go

to everything he has in the present pain

everything the future pain so there's so

much there was no word escape here's the

other reason why people don't change

because right now my relationships in

pain but it was good in the past

so you escaped having a change by

remembering a good time or I might be

coughing and having these problems with

cigarettes right now but you know what

George Burns lived to be 102 he smokes

cigars by the way and he's 1 out of 10

billion people that pulled that off

but let's not confuse ourselves with

ratios so you make up what the future is

if your present is painful you can

escape to the past and get out of the

pressure to change how many follow to

say I or you can escape to a future

because no one knows what it is for sure

and you can make it up but if your brain

links its containable in the what past

in the SE even worse in the they'll

change like that who here has ever

stayed in a relationship that you knew

was not right for you it wasn't right

for you wasn't right for them who has

ever stated relationships

way too long who's done this before

raise your hands say aye it wasn't good

for you what's good for them yet you

stayed why why because even though it's

painful in the present what you do use

it it'll get better over there in the

future why'd you finally change who

you're finally change that say I how'd

you do it your brain way it's painful

now it was things on the past can be

worse in the future that's it that's

what I call a Dickens pattern when you

lock in pain all those places there's no

place to escape so you change it's like

you put a wall here a wall here and a

wall here and we close them in on you

amazingly you'll move forward that's

what we're talking about giving yourself

leverage on yourself that way not having

someone else do to you you do it to

yourself that's when you got the power

again how many get it say aye

this could be the greatest time you ever

live if you control what you focus on if

you find a more empowering meaning and

if you decide to model the actions of

those who succeeded before you it can be

the best financial time the best

emotional time that a spiritual time of

your life but you better take control of

your state and if you think you're going

to do it just by today you're wrong

you're going to need to get yourself

some rituals right now every one of you

this room is controlled by your rituals

I don't just mean this one I mean every

morning you get up I know your body I

can look at your body right now and I

can guess your rituals some of you your

rituals to work out five times a week I

can see it clearly four to six times a

week

it's obvious because you couldn't look

like that if you didn't do that certain

form of work out I don't care what's

walking lifting whatever somebody is

obviously lifting weights as far you can

see about it man's muscles I know I know

what his rituals are because your life

comes from your rituals if you don't

develop the ritual you're kidding

yourself how many degrees me on this

right hand say I and there are rituals

to put you in state nervous will to take

you out of state you go rituals in your

relationship you have rituals with your

body your virtuals around your finances

and the rituals that works in the

reaping time of fall and the markets and

in business and real estate those

rituals won't work now if you do the

right thing at the wrong time you get

pain I'll say that again if you do the

right you go over Tony I'm doing the

right thing but I'm not being rewarded

if you do the right thing at the wrong

time you don't get rewarded you get paid

so you better do the right thing at the

right time and to do that you better

know what season you're in to do that

you're going to learn how to change your

state how to take control of your own

conditioning that's what I live for

does this make sense to you yes or no

come on guys yes or no so now it's time

to train yourself to do that I'll show

you how fast it can change try this just

for a second I want to show you what you

can do with just focus try this for a

moment I'm going to give you a test sit

up in your chair with some energy make

sure you buddy next using a strong state

it will otherwise adjust their state

come on change your physiology what am I

going to do

see if they're ticklish that might help

now do this I want to look around this

room right now and find everything in

this room that you can find in is brown

as fast you can look for Brown look for

Brown look for Brown look around

around you look for Brown looks around

look around okay close your eyes I'm

gonna give you tests with your eyes

closed now shout out loud everything you

saw that was red if you see a lot more

Brown right now than red say yes open

your eyes look for red now I want you to

really look for red look for red look

for red look for red anything exciting

this red look for red all around you

look for red raise your hand if you feel

more red this time and say aye

why did you find more red this time cuz

seek and you shall that's right

whatever you focus on you're going to

find it in fact let me tell you

something you'll even find it when it's

not there how many saw burgundy called

it red just so you could have more

things you counted raise your hand say

aye

come on see whatever you're looking for

you're going to find so if you want to

change your life my friends you got to

change your physiology and you got to

change your focus by the way how fast

can you change that stuff how fast my

phone is how fast how fast come on in a

heartbeat once you reach Ange you're

conditioning all you got to do you going

too fast you do it a question or two try

this right now answer this question in

your mind and be honest what in your

life today if you want it to be could

you feel proud about right now if you

want to feel proud if you did feel like

I shouldn't be proud if you want to feel

proud what could you be proud of in your

life today your children your health

your body is there a problem you faced

instead of running from it you finally

stepped up and handled it could you feel

proud of in your life today if you want

to feel proud how many can pick it up

and when you think about the thing

you're proud of what about that makes

you feel proud

what do you focus on that makes you feel

proud how do you breathe when you really

start to feel proud what kind of look on

your face starts to happen when you let

yourself feel proud yeah how's it feel

they give another area lies there your

life that you're grateful for or you are

not very full if you wanted to be

grateful what's an area you could feel

thank you for look like you feel

grateful for if you really wanted to

feel great how many can think of

something you can feel grateful for

misuse your hands and what about that

are you grateful for when you focus on

that makes you feel grateful how does it

feel when you're really truly feeling

filled with gratitude here's one if you

wanted to be excited about your life

right now and you're willing to be

excited you wrote a book everybody

else's trend what could you feel excited

about in your life if you wanted to feel

excited what could you get excited about

if you really focused on it and you

really took it in and you were to

negative place what could you get

excited about if you wanted to be

excited in your life look if you get

excited about

how many of you can think of something

you feel excited about right now ready

hammock use your head say eye when

you're really excited about it what

about that excite you or when you're

really excited how do you feel how do

you speak what's your life like by the

way when you're excited does it tend to

touch other people yes or no absolutely

but we do people have a tendency but who

feels different right now they're just

even a couple moments ago Asian hands

they I why because focus is controlled

At Home with You Bundle - Duration: 3:47.

I'm Brandi, and I have an awesome stamp

set and coordinating Framelits to show

you. I promise, these products are going

to open the door to lots of creative

possibilities, and I mean that literally!

See? You can create this adorable front

porch look, and you can even make the

door open right up. The stamp set is

called At Home with You. It's a 25-piece

stamp set, and it's made of photopolymer,

which makes it super easy to stamp with.

Your door is kind of the main piece, and

then you get a bunch of other images

that are designed to stamp, cut out, and

use to decorate your doorstep. You have

this lineart style in all of these that

allows for some fun coloring techniques.

There's a welcome mat, and this cute

little sign that you can hang right on

your door. There's even this little bow

to hang it from, if you choose to. Other

than that, you get 13 greetings that are

all designed to go with the set. Many of

these images are sized the perfect width

so they can fit right inside the sign. And

the ones that are longer than that are

sized so they fit right inside the

doorway when it opens. That brings me to

the Framelits. This is a set of 12 and,

again, the main piece is your door. You

get two pieces to do the door--this one

will cut out the entire door including

the frame, and then there's a second one

that will cut the door so that it will

open up. I'd recommend passing it through

your Big Shot twice, once for each step.

You also have this cute little window

that you can cut out on the front of

your door too. Other than that, you get

all these nine pieces that are designed

to cut out your stamped images perfectly.

Here's a quick stamping tip on how to

use the garland piece that can go over

the front door. The piece looks like this,

and you have the Framelit that's

designed to cut it out. As I tried

stamping this, I found sometimes it would

position a little differently on my

block and may not line up to cut out

perfectly. So all you have to do is lay

your Framelit down and bring your

stamp right to it. It'll fall right in

place. Fits like a glove inside the Framelit.

Then you can bring your block over here

and pick up that stamp. Now it's ready to

use and it will cut out perfectly. You

are going to find yourself reaching for

this set for all sorts of occasions. It

has pieces made for birthdays,

pieces that are perfect for Christmas,

and even ones that will help you say

"Congrats on your new home" or just "Thanks."

One of my favorite pieces is the wreath.

It's so clever because there's one

Framelit that will cut out both of the

wreaths. You get a cute little springtime-

looking wreath, and a Christmasy one, and

it will cut either one of them perfectly.

The stamps both have this little

positioner tab on them, too. And so does

the Framelit. That means that you can

stamp it; just remember which way you

pointed your tab--so, okay it's off to the

left--and when you cut, point the tab to

the left, too, and you don't have to even

think or stress about lining it up. Now

if you're wanting to put a wreath on the

front of your card, you might try our

Boxwood Wreaths Embellishments from our catalog (p. 197). Cute

little accessory! It'll give you a 3D

wreath and fits perfectly on this door. I

think we've only scratched the surface

of all of the "a-door-able" possibilities

here. You're going to need to get your

hands on these products right away. Just

visit stampinup.com or contact your

demonstrator.

Soft Sayings All-Inclusive Card Kit - Duration: 6:16.

Hi, friends!

Card kits are always a popular item at Stampin' Up! because they make creating a lot cards

easy, fun, and fast!

So if you are someone who enjoys a relaxing crafting experience with a ton of cards to

show for it afterwards, then you will definitely want to purchase the Soft Sayings Card Kit.

This kit makes 20 cards, two each of 10 different designs, and also comes with matching envelopes.

The cards come in three different sizes, so you'll be covered if you want to write a

short novel, or if you struggle to come up with a sentence or two for the inside.

Let me show you how adorable these are.

We have the large cards, the medium-sized cards, and then also two tiny little notecards.

The sentiments are incredibly versatile, and they cover things like birthday, thank yous,

and congratulations.

They also include some nice generic greetings that can be used for any occasion, like "Just

a note," "I think you are wonderful," "I'm happy you are in my life."

And they even have a few greetings that could be used for sympathy cards, things that say

"To my dear friend" or "Love you lots."

So you will find yourself actually sending these cards, like for real in the mail, all

year long.

Soft Sayings is an all-inclusive kit, which means you get all the components you need

to assemble the 20 cards in the kit.

You get the card bases and envelopes.

The embellishments and layers are all cut and ready to go; all you need to do is pop

them out and stamp some greetings.

The washi tape, baker's twine, and Stampin' Dimensionals are also included.

Then you get a block, a basic gray spot, and the stamp set.

In addition to all those versatile sentiments, the stamp set also includes some beautiful

floral and leaf images.

So this is a stamp set that definitely has potential beyond just using it for the cards

in the kit.

The kit also comes with full color instructions that will show you how to assemble each card.

The only thing you need to add is some adhesive.

We recommend Glue Dots and some Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

One of my favorite features about this kit is that everything you need for all 20 cards,

including the adhesive, fits in this adorable little box, and it's perfect to take on

the run.

So whether you just want something to do while you are waiting for football practice to finish,

or you want to do some crafting while on holiday, Soft Sayings is travel-sized for your convenience,

and it's easy to grab and take along with you.

The cards are simple to put together, and they are enjoyable for crafters of all levels.

It's a perfect kit for beginning stampers, but you advanced crafters are going to love

putting it together as well.

Let me give you a few little tips for assembling the cards.

For the stamping, I found it was quickest to stamp all of my greetings first.

It goes a little faster when you knock out all the greetings, and then you can just grab

the sentiment you want as you are assembling your cards.

A lot of the images are preprinted on the card bases, but some of them are not.

Let's look at this congratulations card, for example.

These gray leaves are printed on the card base, but these more detailed leaves are not.

They need to be stamped.

The placement of these can be a little fussy, so let me show a trick to getting these leaves

placed exactly where you want them.

Start by putting your washi tape on your card, and then figure out where you want your greeting

to go.

Now you are going to flip the greeting over, keeping it in place.

Now I can stamp my leaves exactly where I want them in relation to the greeting.

I'm going to get little bits of ink on my greeting, but that's okay because you won't

be able to notice that once it is flipped over.

So you can see how your leaves are now perfectly placed with that greeting.

And that is all there is to it!

These cards really do go together quickly.

The style of these cards is very organic.

You can see how they are only tacked down in a couple of places, which allows them to

sort of pop off the card a little bit.

Even these delicate glitter blossoms are easy to attach with a Glue Dot in the center.

It still holds them to the card very securely, but gives the card a whimsical look, with

those stems and petals not being glued all the way down.

There is only one problem with this kit—the cards are fantastic, so that means you are

going to run out of them way too quickly.

Before you know it, all 20 of your cards will have been sent off to brighten someone's

day, and you won't have any left, and you are going to want to make some more.

Luckily for you, we have a solution for that very problem.

You already have the stamp set and the ink spot, and all you really need are the components

for the cards.

So Stampin' Up! has a refill kit you can order which includes everything you need to

make another 20 cards, minus the stamp set and ink spot.

So you'll be able to make as many of these beautiful cards as your heart desires.

This is a perfect kit to assemble with a group of your besties, so contact your demonstrator

or visit stampinup.com today to order your very own Soft Sayings Card Kit.

You'll have a fantastic time creating these adorable cards and will find uses for them

all year long.

Have fun, and happy stamping!

When You Talk Too Much - Duration: 3:24.

If we met ... if you knew me ... there's a distinct possibility that you'd think I talk

too much.

For me, it's about transparency and honesty.

That said, most people find it endearing for a little while, but sooner or later something

flips when you talk too much.

I'm pretty sure that isn't about me in particular.

When you talk too much you eventually get on people's nerves.

And it doesn't matter whether your intent is to be helpful, to obfuscate, or you just

suffer from too-many-words disease.

Sooner or later, talking too much will take you places you likely didn't intend.

When does that happen?

I'm glad you asked.

The answer is a moving target.

In general, between people having short attention spans and being short on time, less is usually

more.

Saying what you mean in as few words as possible goes a long way most of the time.

But if you can answer the next twenty questions before they become, say, an interminable string

of text messages, more can be more.

When you talk too much takes on a new meaning.

It's that text message thing that's on the table.

Seven years ago—before many people had even started doing it—the average person sent

450 texts per month.

That's not the average texter, it's the average person.

Five years ago that number had jumped above 600.

I'm not a heavy texter—at least I think that's right—but I'm closing in on 1400

monthlies.

The way people use text drove me so crazy that some time back we did a little experiment

here.

We've since shut down hatetexting.com (it lives on as a Facebook group) but when it

was live it got a bunch of traffic from a bunch of people who felt as I did; texting

is useful, but creates a lot of communication problems.

When You Talk Too Much

That "correct use of text" thing plays huge.

I recently had an argument with someone who regularly tells me I'm too verbose.

I speak in too many words.

I write e-mails that are too long.

And she's right; I'm guilty of both of those things.

This time around, though, I say she was wrong.

I'd written a forty-word email, and she thought I could have conveyed the same message in

five.

What her argument missed, though, was that had I done so I would have opened up a many-back-and-forths

conversation that would have been way worse.

It likely would have taken place via text and become a far greater source of frustration

for both myself and the two people I'd written to than simply covering everything in that

fifty-word email.

In this case, it simply wasn't a "when you talk too much" situation.

The point of this story is pretty simple even if the solution may not be.

Running a business requires mastery of a lot of different communications methods and styles.

And as with most how-do-I-decide-what-to-do decision points, falling back on simple ideas

like "less is more" can hurt you.

We know a thing or two about when you talk to much and what to do about it.

Feel like talking?

How the church can engage and reach Generation Z - Duration: 8:35.

In this video, you are going to learn about Generation Z and what your church can do to

reach them.

My name is Jake from Churchfront.com; this is the channel that helps church leaders grow themselves and grow their church.

Never miss out on our latest content by hitting the "subscribe" button and if you find resource helpful for your ministry, hit that "like" button as well.

I was born in 1990.

That makes me nearly 27 years old.

I'm at the age when I look at highschool and college students and start feeling old.

Has it already been almost ten years since I graduated from high school?

Over the past decade, there has been a lot of talk in the church world about my generation,

the Millennials, those born between 1980 and 1994.

I'm sure you have seen plenty of articles floating around online about what Millennials

are looking for in a church, or reasons why Millennials are leaving the church.

While many of these articles make unhelpful generalisations about my generation, I do

appreciate the attempt to understand younger generations for the sake of building the church

and sharing the gospel.

If your church is still trying to figure out how to best reach Millennials, I have good

news and bad news.

The good news is you can stop worrying so much about Millennials because we're no

longer the biggest influencers of culture.

The bad news is you have a whole new generation to learn about and start strategizing how

your church is going to reach them.

Recently my friend Spencer, a youth pastor here in Colorado, recommend that I read James

Emery White's new book, Meet Generation Z: Understanding and Reaching the New Post-Christian

World.

Being someone who is passionate about the latest research and trends in ministry, I

knew I would find this book intriguing, so I immediately downloaded it to my Kindle app

and read it in a couple of days.

In his book, James Emery White does a fantastic job helping us better understand the youngest

generation among us as well as provide insight on how to reach them effectively.

If you and your church care about reaching the next generation, then read this book.

You'll learn that the issue is not so much figuring out how to reach a particular generation.

Rather, the primary challenge the church in North America faces in the next few years

is effectively communicating the gospel in an increasingly post-Christian society.

Rather than cover all of the topics in his book, I want to share with you some basic

information about Generation Z as well as my three biggest takeaways from White's

research.

This generation consists of kids born between 1995 and 2010.

You may have heard some people consider this age range to include Millennials, but after

reading Meet Generation Z, kids born in this date range did grow up in a world different

than even a younger Millennial such as myself.

I remember life before personal computers were even a standard household item.

I remember life without cellphones and smartphones.

Apple released the iPhone my junior year of high school in 2007.

I also remember dial-up internet, slow cellular data, and Wifi hotspots being a luxury rather

than a necessity.

For most of Generation Z, they do not remember the world without smartphones, Wifi, and instant

access to the world's information via Google.

Aside from the technological distinction of Generation Z, there are a few cultural and

moral differences as well.

The kids in Generation Z were born into a time of unfortunate events.

They have already lived through the catastrophes of 9/11 and the Great Recession.

It makes you wonder if that is why dystopian stories such as the Hunger Games and Divergent

are so popular among this generation.

They have also been the first generation to grow up in a sexually fluid culture.

73% of Generation Z is for same-sex marriage.

Generation Z is the most racially diverse generation the United States has ever seen

due to the rapid growth of the Hispanic population in the last decade.

Finally, the most important distinctive of Generation Z is they are the most spiritually

illiterate generation Western Civilization has ever seen.

Since they are the children of unchurched or de-churched Generation X, they have absolutely

no knowledge of anything spiritual.

In previous decades, most people had some exposure to religion and Christianity.

Preachers like Billy Graham and the leaders of mega-church movements we see today have

appealed to people's general knowledge of the concepts of the Christianity and from

there have guided people into a life-changing and personal relationship with God.

With Generation Z, the church can no longer lean on the crutch of cultural Christianity.

In reaching this generation, we must assume that our audience has zero knowledge of who

Jesus is and what he has done.

After reading this book, here are my biggest takeaways in how it is going to affect my

ministry.

First, I think the spiritual illiteracy of this generation provides one of the greatest

opportunities the church in the west has ever seen.

In previous generations, the church had to help cultural Christians who were de-churched

overcome their preconceptions about faith, Jesus, and the church.

With Generation Z it's like working with spiritual blank slate.

We do not have to waste time undoing false popular theology or their preconceptions about

the church because they do not have any!

Their spiritual illiteracy will prove to be the strongest bridge to connecting this Generation

with God.

Although they are spiritually illiterate, we can see that this generation has a deep

longing for meaning and purpose in life which is expressed in their heavy involvement with

movements dealing with civil rights, politics, or the environment.

The church has a tremendous opportunity to provide them with an alternative to the world's

attempt to live a fulfilling life of meaning and purpose.

That does not mean the church needs to start shoving the Bible and theology down this generation's

throat.

Instead, the church should create environments for this generation to ask questions about

spirituality and let those questions determine the type of content the church can create

to engage non-believers.

Second, the church is going to need to have a voice of conviction.

It's ironic that despite the political correctness required in public discourse today, the talking

heads with the most authority and greatest following in our culture today do not beat

around the bush when it comes to sharing their convictions.

John Oliver, Stephen Colbert, Dennis Prager, and Ron Paul, are just a few public figures

I follow that prove you do not need to be politically correct to have a significant

influence on a lot of people.

Even though I do not agree with all or any of what these public figures have to say,

I admire their conviction.

It's tempting for the church to lose her prophetic voice for the sake of evangelism,

but James Emery White warns against doing this.

Not only will this result in watering down the truth of the gospel, but no one will want

to listen if your church has no conviction.

Generation Z wants to grapple with opinions and ideologies.

Even though some or many will disagree, people will only take the time to listen to words

of conviction.

Finally, the church must create snackable content to engage with Generation Z.

I love watching Casey Neistat's vlog on Youtube.

Almost every day he posts a 5-10 minute video that documents his life as a creative entrepreneur

in New York City in an entertaining way.

Apparently, 7 million other people feel the same way about his videos because that's

the number of subscribers he has.

Something that he and other successful YouTubers have discovered is the power of snackable

online content.

Whether it's creating entertaining but informative videos on YouTube or writing brief but intriguing

articles, I see this as the future of online ministry for the church.

Too many churches, especially ones with big budgets, make the mistake of capturing their

Sunday morning content, posting it online, and expecting to make a significant impact

that way.

While posting services online is not a horrible idea, the church must look at what is working

in the secular world to build an engaged audience who is excited to consume content that will

add value to their life.

To sum up my takeaway from James Emery White's book, I believe if churches want to effectively

reach Generation Z, they must start creating engaging, informative, and creative content

that answers spiritual questions with a voice of conviction.

I'm excited to start doing this in my ministry, but honestly, I do not yet know what exactly

this will look like.

I highly encourage you to read Generation Z yourself as there are many other takeaways

in it for your ministry that I did not cover here.

What are your thoughts on how the church can effectively reach the next Generation?

If your church has found innovative and effective ways to reach Generation Z, let me know in

Aloha, my name is Andy,

in this video I will show how to boot from optical drive, if you have a HP Compaq dc7800 Ultra-slim Desktop PC.

I have my Windows 7 Professional DVD.

The Windows 7 Professional installation disc was bought with this refurbished PC.

I press the power button and the PC is starting.

Quickly I press repeatedly the F9 key from the keyboard, until appears this menu.

Now I insert the Windows 7 Professional installation disc in the optical drive.

And wait for about 4-5 seconds until the disc is recognized by the optical drive.

Now I hit the Enter key and the PC is restarting.

The PC is restarting and when appears the message: Attempting Boot From CD-ROM.

I hit the space key.

The PC now is booting from the USB device. I hit the Enter key to begin the install.

The Windows loading the files to the HDD.

So this is how you boot from optical drive, if you have a HP Compaq dc7800 Ultra-slim Desktop PC.

Enable Java and Javascript: Safari - Duration: 2:15.

Enable Java and JavaScript for Safari.

Java and JavaScript are required for some features of Pearson websites.

While Java is supported on Safari for Macintosh, it's not supported on Safari for iOS – that is, for iPhone or iPad.

Not sure what kind of browser or version you are using? Check out http://whatbrowser.org.

To be sure that the Safari browser settings on your Mac allows Java and JavaScript, follow these steps.

Open Safari. Select Safari from the menu bar, and then select Preferences from the dropdown.

From the popup displayed, select the Security tab.

Check or verify that Enable JavaScript is checked.

Check or verify Allow Plug-ins is checked.

Now select the button labelled Plug-in Settings.

Select Java in the left column.

Check or verify that the Java plug-in is checked. This allows the plug-in to run.

Set the dropdown menu to the right of Currently Open Websites to Ask.

Then set the dropdown to the right of When visiting other websites to Ask too.

Ask is a safer choice than On.

This step tells Safari to ask you before letting the Java plug-in run on any website that requires it.

Select Done.

Close Safari Preferences.

Now close Safari.

Open the Java control panel through System Preferences.

Select the Security tab.

Check or verify Enable Java content in the browser is checked.

Select Apply if the Enable Java checkbox is not selected.

Select OK.

Close the Java control panel,

reopen Safari and you're ready to go.
