Everything you need to know about retinol (Vitamin A) - Duration: 2:08.

So what is vitamin A and how does it work to prevent signs of aging?

So vitamin A is just an umbrella term for a family of skincare ingredients known as retinoids.

These include retinol, retinaldehyde, retinoic acid and retinyl retinoate.

When vitamin A is introduced to the skin it's converted

into its active form, which is retinoic acid,

once it's in its active form of retinoic acid

this is when cellular rejuvenation happens and also collagen

and elastin production. This action actually helps improve fine lines and wrinkles

a reduction in age spots and also helps with blemishes.

Do I have to use high-strength vitamin A in order to see results?

You definitely don't have to use a high strength vitamin A,

in fact it has been proven that as little as 0.01% of retinol

can actually have really good effects on the skin.

Can I use vitamin A if I have sensitive skin ?

You can definitely use vitamin A if you have sensitive skin

you just need to make sure that you are climbing the retinol ladder.

So you need to be using it twice a week for the first two weeks

and then the second two weeks you need to be using it every other evening

and then you can go into using it every night.

But once you see the results then you

can start stepping up to Retinol 6TR or Retinol 10TR

once you are sure that your skin is coping well with it

At what age should I start vitamin A ?

So you can start using vitamin A from the age of about 20

starting with a lower concentration

and then as the results start to stall from this then you can step up the ladder

to Retinol 6TR and Retinol 10TR

So how should I use vitamin A in my skincare routine ?

So you should always make sure you're applying for vitamin A

in the evening so when your face is clean and dry and then in the morning

you must make sure you're using your vitamin C

and your broad-spectrum sun protection

SAS Tutorial 2 (Data Set Naming Rules and the Set Statement) [2018] - Duration: 9:56.

today we will learn more about SAS data sets and we will also learn about the

set statement and how we can create larger data sets with it

today I have example 2.1 here in my code tab and we're going to discuss how data

sets can be named data sets don't have to be named anything special it just

needs to be a name that you can recognize easily and remember in the

last tutorial we called it a example every time this time we're going to

change that up a little bit just remember there's just a few rules to

follow one is that it can't start with a number or a special character it also

has to be at max 32 characters long but it can have both letters and numbers in

the name so this meets all of those criteria data one that's selected and

execute it

we can look at the log and it doesn't look like we had any errors let's go

here to output data and you can see is there data set the same as we used last

time and example one so let's go back to the code and first let's save it and

let's look at this second data step notice that it's name contains every

letter of the alphabet and every number so it's 36 characters long

that makes it longer than the 32 character limit let's check that out

okay we see that we were taken instead of to the results window we were taken

to the log window the error we see here reads the data set name cannot have more

than 32 bytes so that means 32 characters let's see if we can fix it

let's just take out all the numbers

now we were taken to the output data instead of the log and that's in the

that is indicative of us submitting good code but that's with a caveat

just because code does not create an error doesn't mean that it did what it

was intended to do so always be careful and it's a good idea to go and look at

the log just to see if there are any obvious mistakes that may be captured as

notes instead of errors or warnings

let's go back and look at that output data one more time you can see it has a

very long name all the letters of the alphabet and it also has the data that

was in the second data step I altered those numbers so that each weight would

end with the number four so I know that we're using that second data set

created by data lines let's rename this data set to something a little more

manageable

let's select data - and run it again

okay again we're taken to the output data you can see that we're looking at

data - and again notice that all the weights end with the number 4 remember

from tutorial 1 that we learned that numeric variables are aligned to the

right and text variables are aligned to the left well there's another way we can

figure out if a variable is text or numeric and that is over here these look

very tiny on my screen and you may not be able to see them but here is a little

symbol with the letter A in it for gender weight and age also have a small

symbol but it's different it is a blue circle with 1 2 3 inside of it so I

don't know if that's very helpful or not also we can go to these this row here

and we can manipulate the data a little bit we can sort on any of them even the

text-based one let's go back to our code for a simple experiment let's see what

happens if we name both of these datasets data 1 and we're going to run

both of them

this shows that we only have one data set in its name data one however it's

made of only the data in the second data set we created a data set here but it

was overwritten down here because it had the same name we should have left it at

data two let's execute this and let's do it without selecting anything this time

you'll see now we have data 1 and data too let's go look at data 2 and make

sure yep these numbers all Indian 4 so that is the second data set that we have

on our code page let's go back to our code so now we have that fixed we have

data 1 and data too let's leave ourselves a comment a

comment can also come in the form of a single line comment it starts with an

asterisk and ends with a semicolon now we can type anything that we want to

in here as a reminder about data set names so here's our one line comment be

careful when using data set names that are similar it would be quite easy to

just retype data one down here by mistake where we have data two now we

will cover how to combine data sets

it's very simple just another data step

and you can see that in SAS studio it tries to give you a hint

as far as syntax goes so data and we're going to say data 3 now we're going to

use a set statement very simple it just means to actually set a data set down so

you can see that now we've also got some smart syntax from SAS we want to set

data 1 and then we also want to set data 2

now let's run

okay we went straight to the output data window and you can see that we now have

a data set with eight observations or eight rows in it

that's enough for now next time we will look at a new field with the person's

name in it and also we will go over how to get data from an external source

This community, First Orlando, here's the challenge: you do for one kid what you

wish you could do for all kids. If everybody in this house steps up in

be the Rodney in their own way, investing time, investing resources, investing talent,

whatever you bring to the table, then we help a lot of kids that way collectively.

Now you might be skeptical. You might be a like, "Well what's the big deal about

time?" Here's the big deal about time: kids spell trust T I M E. Right now everybody

think of your own Rodney. Think of that that teacher that made a difference in

your life. Think of that coach. Think of that youth pastor. Think of that aunt.

That uncle. Why did they make a difference in your life? Not because they

were perfect. Not because they were without flaw. Not because they never

disappointed you. They did that, they invested time even when you didn't

deserve it. Even when you were unappreciative of it or grateful for their

sacrifice.

experience when they first see your video or arrive at your channel they may

not subscribe right away however if they watch more of your content they'll be

more inclined to subscribe. Here are 7 ways to convert viewers into subscribers

on YouTube no.1 make a good impression the majority of your subscribers come

from your YouTube channel homepage therefore the branding of your channel

and thumbnails is very important for example your channel banner should state

clearly what your channel is all about create a custom trailer video that

explains why people should subscribe to your channel the branding of your

thumbnails should be congruent with the art on your channel homepage so when

someone sees your thumbnail on the net they'll be able to associate it with

your channel . Number 2. Create relevant content make sure you know the wants

needs desires and problems of your target audience you'll then be able to

create relevant content for them if they click on your thumbnail but your video

doesn't contain the content that they expected then they won't become a

title the video description and tags Number 3. Go deeper most first-time

visitors are not aware that they should become a subscriber how can you get them

to watch more than one video? A great way to offer more content is to create a

series of videos that goes more deeper into a topic that they expected you can

then add these series of videos to a playlist and promote the playlist as

well as your own video add these playlists to the sections on your

channel homepage link to them during the course of your video. Number 4. Make it

to subscribe use the YouTube subscribe features to make it easy for viewers to

become subscribers for example add a subscribe watermark across all the

videos on your channel click the link in the card to learn how to do it add

subscribe links to your about page in your description and also in your end

screens you can also create a custom pop-up subscribe link and add that to

your website and social media channels click the card icon to learn how to do

it also ask viewers to subscribe at the beginning and end of your video don't

just tell them to subscribe but give them the main benefits of subscribing to

your channel. Number 5. Repeat what's working click on the subscribe button

in YouTube analytics to identify the top videos that are attracting the most

subscribers also identify the videos that are getting the highest audience

retention these are the videos on your channel that are getting the most

engagement create similar videos to your top performing ones because you know

these ones are already attracting subscribers consider linking to these

videos and your cards and end screens because you know they are performing well

Number 6 Interact with your viewers YouTube is a social platform where you

can build a community of like-minded people encourage community building by

replying to viewers comments interact with them on other social media

platforms invite them to subscribe to your email list. Number 7. Be consistent

consume more of your content therefore make sure you stick to a consistent

Have you met Nicolay Goreliy of Geek Picnic? - Geek Picnic 2017 - Duration: 14:02.

Hello guys, my name is Jean-Christophe Bonis and I'm in Moscow right for the Geek Picnic festival.

We are in the center of an amazing place in Moscow with the founder of that.

May I just ask

who you are, what's the idea, please just present yourself.

- So, my name is Nikolay, my surname is Goreliy, it means "burnt" in Russian,

I'm making Geek Picnic. This year we decided to make the Geek Picnic for the main theme of it, it is a game of mind.

Okay.

This year, we mixed different geeks zones together. For example, it's lectures about science, technology of the future,

or the future of art or of the human behaviour,

and more importantly, only art will save the planet.

This is why the technology is going really fast,

but our human understanding of the purchase, much more or less, has less speed.

It's why it is also important to discuss the opportunities of the future.

I deeply agree with you.

That's why you asked me to come here and all the speakers are here to explain that. Since how long are you doing this?

Five years.

Five years… I saw you're also in Helsinki and in Tel Aviv? Tel Aviv or Jerusalem?

Jerusalem. It was the previous year,

there was over 35 000 visitors, and the theme of the Geek Picnic in Jerusalem was cyborgization.

So we have invited people from cyber-foundation, who integrate chips into their minds, their ears or their body.

To help people, yeah that's crazy, will you do that again in Jerusalem?

Yeah, in this autumn.

Oh, this autumn perfect. And Helsinki, where is it?

Helsinki, we cancelled this event because we weren't directed to do it so we cancelled it.

And Helsinki I suppose it's because of Slush?

No it's not the same because Slush, it is a more practical view of the future and about the start-ups and for us the start-ups are a small part of the event.

It's more about the dreams, about our vision, how we relate in the future.

That's why we invite outstanding people, visionaries,

that's the meaning, and that's why we think that Geek Picnic is a dream, a government for geeks.

Children also! There are families with children, it's amazing!

We bring a mix together, for example cosplay and gaming zones,

lectures and shows, big viewer zones over 100 plus places,

and a lot of fun zones and activities where people can have a good time.

Do you think, concerning the future, people has an idea about what is happening?

In the future?

No, right now we're talking about mass public,

we have geeks but we have also families.

Do you think they understand what is happening?

We were together yesterday, talking about, during the press conference, and that's why people like me are doing these jobs.

What do you think about that?

I think it depends because some parts of the people just come here to have fun.

Other parts, it is our core audience, are geeks, they came here for inspiration, for new ideas to make it in the future happen.

For example, in Geek Picnic, I know a lot of companies and start-ups that were created here, part of the teams met here,

and then after the years they presented their companies on the event.

So, it depends of the audience, but a core of people came here for the dreaming, for the inspiration, for the context, to do something new and interesting.

Are you yourself in link with other productions worldwide? I was in Rio de Janeiro few weeks ago,

okay it's not the same because it was Rio.Futuro,

that's a B2B event about future and many topics.

But are you also traveling sometimes to see what is happening abroad?

Of course, I saw different events, for example,

fairs on comic or some professional conferences about video games like E3. But Geek Picnic is a B2C event.

Totally different then.

Yeah, it's to make a big community of the geeks and to be together by the atmosphere here,

it is an interesting event and to show that particularity of the future to the wide audience.

Because the main idea of Geek Picnic is to find the really interesting content from worldwide or from Russia,

and to show it, because a lot of technologies are still in the universities,

professional companies are inside the institutes and we want to take it from the dark side to bring it to the light.

You know, I'm travelling a lot in your country and I love your country,

and I'm very impressed with two things, good and bad at the same time.

But take it in a good way.

In the geek community, so people very close to that in the big companies and so on, I'm impressed by the level of technology.

They are really good,

kind of the best one in mathematics and algorithm and so on.

And at the same time, totally unable to transform that into business.

Why? Why do you think that?

Because during the interview, press was asking me, I'm still thinking.

For me it's a mix between your culture and your history and so on, but still.

Why can you be at the same time so high level in terms of technology and not really able to transform it into something business worldwide?

Of course, I have the answer, I have two answers.

. One is philosophical if you don't mind.

I'm historian by my education so I know a lot about history and modern history,

and I think that the history of Russia and the Russian meaning is a country of experiment.

To be first maybe in space, to make the first TV, to make the first radio and so on,

but the production culture is very low.

In case of any tradition, and this is why the Russian literature is very good and is very famous

because there is the dreaming part where you can create something new

and I think Russia is a global place to create something new, but not to product it.

Because of the culture of doing something really hard day to day is very low.

And there is a tradition of our agriculture history because we have very short summer where you have to be really really productive during only these 3 months

and for 9 months you got to wait, and think and do nothing.

So it is the kind of cultural court in Russia, and hopefully my idea of Russia of the future is to be

the country were people create a lot,

have intellectual privacy for their ideas,

and to perform and product from China and everywhere else in the world.

So let's see with a big company like Yandex.

Yandex does an amazing job here in the country.

Yeah, there part of google is originally from Russia!

Exactly, but after, when you are crossing the frontline, around the USSR blocks, even in Turkey, it's not working that well.

Why is that company that is doing amazingly good inside the country,

is unable to export the concept outside?

Because Chinese, Baidu and so on, it's the same. But Alibaba is going outside and they are winning also outside.

So what is the limit for you? What needs to be done?

I want to be polite, but I'll say the truth.

I think it depends of the cultural and political influence of the country.

And now, Russia's is really low.

And to be the winner of the global competition, you have to be very competitive, you have to be integrated into the global institutes and everywhere.

After eighty years, the country was closed because of the wars.

And the country controlled around 40% of the population of the planet, with communist China, South America, Middle East.

It was a big military power, cultural power.

And 25 years ago it was broken. It's really hard during the 25 years to make the institutions and the integration to happen.

I think it takes maybe 20 or 40 years more to be really good and to be in the competitive part in the global market.

So I think it's an historical problem, a problem of our previous history.

Let's speak about the festival, because time is running and I don't want to take too much of your time.

What's the next step for the future of this festival?

Expand somewhere else in another country or doing some other stuff? How do you see the future for you?

To make Geek Picnic happen worldwide in the top twenty cities

where the government and the people believe in the future and making the future happen today.

For example, I really hope to do this festival in Singapore or the United States and Canada, in Paris too.

I hope that Geek Picnic became a global phenomenon and that people know that this event,

and the speakers, and the content will travel around the points and

they will make this big festival over thousands of visitors like a global big event with thousands and thousands of activities.

Are you close to the Austin festival?

There is a big festival mixing music and technologies in the States. I think it's in Austin, I don't remember…. Two months ago…

I think I know this one, yeah.

Are you close to this concept?

No, we're not close to this concept. Our main idea is not to bring music, not to bring very expensive groups and celebrities.

We want to find a community that is really interested into the future and we want to dream.

That is why we don't want to make a music festival because it will bring a different audience.

We want people to come here for the inspiration, for the good content of the technology and to understand the atmosphere of the future.

Our ideas is to make our event more like maybe... make a fair bigger, of course our ambition is to make things bigger like this.

Are you optimist for the future? You are part of the people like me that sees technologies…

I am optimistic about the future, very optimistic because… For one side, because I think that technology has to be human.

And before in 20th century, thousands of people were working in the factory doing really stupid stuff like that.

In the 21st century, people are allowed to create, not everybody is doing it, but their option is existing.

That is why I think the future shows a lot of brilliant opportunities that we just have to use and know how to use it.

And the main competition is to be well-educated and know these opportunities because everybody has connections, billions of people.

But not billions of people are watching the lectures about that, not the billions.

Yeah yeah I see that. Education is everything.

It's a base.

I agree. Thank you for your time.

It was a pleasure.

What has never been mine. - Duration: 3:38.

I know I will never be able to touch you, but I also know that you are there, crossing the Atlantic, while I sit here imagining you and for me that makes it fantastic.

Yes Yes Yes,

Caressed world,

let me give you,

what has never been mine ...

Only me and my pain,

me and my pain, towards the center,

Only me and my pain,

Yes, looking for love under a concrete-colored sky,

Only me and my pain,

What? me and my pain, towards the center,

Only me and my pain,

He says, he says ...

Road from the suburb to the center,

In the city where the flowers shiver with cold,

I am writing the words that I am,

Giving to the wind what has never been, mine,

While it was all still the same, Hope and if ritual, The balance of good and evil,

Get yourself a job, get the hook, Try to fly low, there are no shortcuts to the sky,

No, I just try to be myself, While the heart is galloping towards the abyss,

Pure juggling, my verse in balance, The line that separates hedonism from suicide,

Yes, if the world were perfect,

I'm saying if the world was perfect,

Perhaps tears would make the wheat sprout, And the gods would not have enemies, but,

The system wants slaves that can explore,

Sweating the tail any concern,

That you work for 100 bucks and without protest,

You can pay for the nails of your coffin,

And I just want the pure ambrosia, To bathe in a light that will never be mine,

To be able to have a day of white madness, And feel something similar to joy,

Baby, I'm looking for a chord,

Look at me, on the verge of life while throwing the order,

I like this mess too much,

To go looking for love under a merciless sky,

I'm trying to find the explanation, To this fucking feeling of sadness and uprooting,

And maybe it's the disappointment of avoiding temptation, In the same in the proportion in which I fall,

Or maybe it's that I feel banished, From this superficial and decadent society,

And so I prefer the loneliness to be next, Of this humanity of vanishing vanity,

It's not the ego that drives me to write, But the fear of dying without ever saying anything,

I see those rappers show off, Everyone having something to say, and never saying anything,

And I do not know if there is a cosmic plan, Or we are only dust in this inhospitable world,

But I'm happy against the forecast, I found my scars a purpose,

And if you want me to tell you the truth, I'll tell you that gold for me is secondary,

I'm a kiss away from loneliness, And even verse away from feeling millionaire,

So... Go away, run away, get away, go away, Baby save me, let's save yourself, Go away, run away, get away, go away,

I say save me,

Go away, run away, get away, go away, Let's save me, let's save yourself, Go away, run away, get away, go away,

Babe save me ...

Because it's time to face me, to face fear, And face that I'm a stowaway, in the boat of Charon,

Crazy heart from the Ebro to Sacromonte, I write a song to myself while I chase the horizon,

And my verse directs me and only tries to be good kid, He knows that one does not choose what he loves or what he writes,

And maybe that's why my muse flirts, Sometimes he caresses me ...

I LOVE NECROSTRADAE

It's What You Do With The Time You Have Left That Matters - Josh Ship - Duration: 1:39.

In this jar right here are 936 marbles. Each one of these marbles represents a

single week in the life of a kid from the time that kid is born untill they turn

18. So if you had like an infant yesterday, you've got 936 weeks the sweet

cute little baby untill she turns 18: less of you around, less of your influence,

bigger decisions on her shoulders, which means by the time you've got a

nine-year-old, you've got 468 weeks remaining. If you'll notice, by this point,

as a parent, you have lost half your marbles!

I'm not judging. I've got a nine-year-old, I mean I've definitely lost half my

marbles. Curious, raise your hand you've got a 16 year old in your life. Son, daughter,

nephew, niece, kid on your team in your classroom. Look at this. When I think about

Rodney, Stillwater jail, that morning he bailed me out, here's what he was working

with. That's 26 weeks. See, it's not about how much time you do or don't have left with

that kid. That's done. We can't control that. What matters is what you do with

that time.
