New to yoga? FAQ Beginner ask about Yoga All Answered - Duration: 21:28.

and send I manage to answer one more question about yoga by the way my

name is Yogini Rasa and I'm certified open yoga teacher welcome if you are new

one and I'm very happy to see you if you are returning yoga lover today we are

having the frequently asked questions and answers

I think questions are more frequently asked than the answers given for the

newbies and yoga beginners and also for some experienced Yogi's the questions

about yoga hmm the first question I get our knower again is about what is yoga

we already had a small video and s it's covered in the courses but today once

more Yoga is system of self exploration and

exploring of the universe starting with the fact that we are trying to

understand who we are because when you go to school you get all those

sophisticated subjects like math language foreign languages geography

chemistry physics physical education arts music very good things science by

the way but we kind of improve our intellect but we don't give a

possibility to explore ourselves just a little bit maybe in mutual communication

with our classmates and friends family but if they are busy and we are busy at

school then self exploration and a lot of kind of essential questions leave a

left and answered so we are doing this in yoga we exploring ourselves

understanding and exploring what else the thing that

is very important we try to do it by following two basic principles and this

is non harm principle and principle of being effective so we are trying to be

kind to ourselves and to others and we are also trying to do that in effective

manner of course for each person you would take

and ask what is yoga they would give an absolutely different answer for somebody

it's something physical for somebody it's meditation somebody else will say

that it is visualization somebody will say it's Tantra and so on and so forth

we're breathing exercises that's all correct but it's only a small portion on

the big path of yoga that you can explore so yeah so the yoga is system of

self exploration and exploring of the universe the other question that often

comes was this question what is yoga it's not one of the most often ones but

usually it's about number seven and it's asking is yoga religion no yoga is not a

religion it's neither sports it is system of self-exploration and you can

be a great follower of any religion there is you can follow no religion at

all you have you may have your own religion it has nothing to do with the

religion if you have your belief system it's wonderful keep on going out and in

the scale of this system you can still explore yourself and work on this also

yoga is not sports we all love Olympic Games but yoga is not sports the result

is not the one we are striving for this is the process

and kind of aims of understanding ourselves so this would be number seven

but we are getting back to the question number two and this is what does hata

mean usually they're asking what is the hatha yoga because about 90% of yoga

studios will offer you HOT a yoga and even fitness centers and most of the

upcoming yoga teachers the first discipline they learn is hatha yoga they

are not even learning the theory or anything else it's hot huh it's the most

simple most effective for the beginners to start and this is kind of physical

exercises with asanas and poses it's stable positions you take this also

could be hatha yoga if I would apply those two principles that I mentioned

before about being kind to yourself and being effective at the same time but the

prime thing is being kind also if we just take a look on the cut as such then

it is the two parts of this word ha and ha

they mean absolute opposites right and left day and night inhale exhale

men women tons of more yeah as well as about the first question what is yoga

and what is hata yoga and more details about them they're always on the courses

of yoga pena dot-com so if you have time and more interest this is where you go

and you learn or you read something in the description section of this video

but to make sure that you have kind of notion of of this area if it means if it

needs more explanation number three and this is very interesting question what

does um mean maybe you have heard or maybe you have already practiced the

mantra yoga or yoga sound actually this is some

something that some people kind of think that's because people sing in a religion

that's why ohm is something religious and that's why they might ask if yoga is

something religious no yoga is not religious just because we are singing

that you would go to the Opera and ask them is this a religion just because you

sing they would say no we are not the religion we are just singing because the

sound is very powerful and when we have prepared our body was the physical

exercises with breathing exercises was different mind exercises by the way one

of the answers for the what is yoga is when you stop creation of thought forms

very complicated clinician but this is also a one of the explanations so um is

the initial sound when the old universe was created and if we we will be able to

repeat choose the sound we will be able to understand what it is all about what

are we all about what is the world around us about I know it's complicated

and stepping to this area of yoga took me quite a while just because of this

fear is is it okay to do this because not always I understand what I am

chanting yeah you can also divide the UM sound in are all am sounds it's a oh um

but if you would make it shorter faster then you would get on sound so if you

just practice on your own the sound ah

then you'd get finally also to the sound on and there is interesting thing that

my colleagues and students of yoga have told me that this says amazing feeling

after practicing of the sound um it's just a simple sound and it's like you

feel like you have done something great or something great has happened to you

so a simple sound give it a try there's a lot of videos and practices to do the

sound so it's possible to try it on so but just the first kind of understanding

um is something that everything starts well and maybe this will be something

that will end with so the next question is do I have to be a vegetarian to

practice yoga yoga is not a culinary club where you'd have to come in and say

I am NOT in eating this or I'm eating this you can eat whatever you want and

it's possible that along with the practice of hatha yoga Kriya yoga mantra

yoga breathing yoga you will change some of your habits might refuse from some

snacks maybe to sugar saturated foods something else might change you might

for some time leave me to start eating meat so it depends on your climate and

everything where you are when you just start doing yoga

don't make sharp changes in your diet or lifestyle or anything else unless it's

you have decided that your entire life will be to devote it to this practice

and you are in space that allows you to kind of do this without much harm

because if we do things too fast we usually end this activity too fast and

as life yoga could be a lifelong activity

there is no rush you can be late so working with that the next question

about not being late and managing things to do how many times per week should I

practice yoga very good question again it's like was the your eating

habits it's very individual I started with one time then I moved to three

times then back to two times but like the fitness trainers and a lot of people

who are working with sports and have done some research in this area if you

want to do it something that includes the physical exercises there should be

about two times per week and the hatha yoga is the best to start but if you

have some difficulties or there are other obstacles on your way you can

switch like mantra yoga is the most simple and most effective one it's easy

to do easy to learn and then you can switch with some other exercises and

meditations and stuff like that so just not to be kind of strict on the fact

that you if you do yoga then you absolutely have to do hatha yoga and it

has to be our nine and thirty minute class and nothing else

because yeah or health condition changes sometimes we get sick sometimes we feel

high and we want to do as much as possible so okay and then the next

question also about the physical things is how is yoga different from other

kinds of fitness or for whatever or other kinds of sports yoga as you

remember it self exploration and we are exploring ourselves through the hatha

yoga or through these poses and the notion

the impact and effects comes with the practice no earlier because you can't

tell anybody how does it feel to be in love or what does it mean to raise kids

or what does it mean that you will have an argument with your loved one you kind

of understand what your mind that if somebody is angry you were tired you

should help in this situation or just keep yourself neutral but if you are a

bit angry or if you are tired or exhausted or you are completely sure

that it you are true about the stuff and not the other person then it is very

very difficult to to keep this kindness principle or if you want to have fast

results you kind of think oh I will do five times per week and then I have a

week off or something like that so yeah Yoga is different just because of these

two principles we try to be kind to ourselves and other people and we are

trying to be effective to reach all results about first and the second

principle we also have the video so check our playlist and you will find

this theoretical material the next question again about our physical

abilities I'm not flexible where I'm not that strong I'm not that thin where I

have extra weight can I do yoga any person actually can do yoga if they are

able we are willing to observe the first two principles of yoga so whenever you

are ready to do it and you wish to do it and you're working in in direction of

improvement of your life and as you start practicing you almost immediately

usually notice the the difference you become more happy happier you feel

better your health is improving your mind starts working more actively you

become more creative there are tons of things however there is this small thing

that people usually come to yoga for a different different reason somebody want

to be more beautiful lose weight get rid of back pain or look better or they just

want to go there because they are so wonderful people there they want to have

this wonderful community and those all good

those are good causes and good reasons even though yoga can give you more you

go there and usually when you or somebody else reaches the goal they

leave Yoga for something else or being busy or stuff like that that's also fine

you came you got you saw that it's working and if you might have some other

girls you might also come and see this sometime later so I think there was some

more questions and this is where do I begin where do you begin you begin with

the understanding what is yoga and you start with this practice you start with

the two times per week or one time per week or just one post one post can

sometimes be wonderful and enough to do yoga and whatever you do in your favor

it's good and if there is anything I can help there several videos shorter and

longer that you might try the exploration past together with me and I

would be very very happy finally you are looking for yoga fine

your teacher or your inspiration or your video or your a book

this will be some some exploration I guess because when you are searching for

something you not always find your best and suitable option or what the options

change with the time it's like when you choose your the film to watch tonight

you are looking ok I want a comedy or I want drama where I want something of

thriller where some blockbuster so and not always this will be the first movie

you will select and maybe you will the time you will want to switch from the

comedy to something else where you would like to watch some stand-up shows or

something of the yoga you know the history occu mentary films and it's it

would be good so what is the best time to practice now the best time to

practice is now I hope you will be able to do the starting point or you are just

switching on to to get some more interesting materials but well if you

are talking about the regular practice it's either morning's or evenings or

when you have this free time in your schedule because in the morning or mind

is still waking up and we can kind of more concentrate on our the way we feel

and we have not received a lot of messages that would disturb us from from

the practice or in the evening we are have accomplished everything and the

yoga practice would help us to ease and to relax to let it go and again to kind

of remove that excess of information or pollution that we get

during the day and from time to time you just devote to this activity more time

like during the workshops and retreats when there is more time to do it and you

are kind of in the area of the like-minded people who are just running

in the class and running away from class always being in a hurry so yeah this is

probably top 10 12 questions that I meet very often

I hope they the answers were useful by the way some time ago we published a

book it was the first book we published about what is yoga and it really

contains the basic questions about what is yoga but are the yoga principles what

is Dharma what is karma about different kinds of yoga and there explore

explaining there's also a meditation for you and how to make the best decisions

in the life so check the link to the Amazon in the description section again

and there is the also possibility to have a video on the topic like how to

publish a book any book and how to do it in the maximum effective way so doing

good to yourself and doing good to your other people and doing in an effective

way if you wish to hear my experience and how my three previous books were

published and a new one is coming then leave in the come in comment section the

line I want to know more and I will be happy to prepare you a video on this

topic and see you soon so hope you rest likes for this video so we can film some

more of this and see you soon right bye bye

House Cleaning as a Sport - Create an Endurance Strategy for Your Cleaning Businessean - Duration: 8:02.

House cleaning as a sport.

What? House cleaning is not a sport, it's just house cleaning, right?

Or is it? We're going to talk about that today.

Hi there. I'm Angela Brown and this is Ask a House Cleaner.

This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question

and I get to help you find an answer.

Today's show is brought to us by HouseCleaning360.com

where you, as a small business owner, can

have a competitive advantage by listing your business on HouseCleaning360.com

It's a place to hold all of your social media, videos about your business, before and after

pictures about the houses that you've cleaned, and it also has a place for ratings, interviews

from your neighbors, your friends, your family, all the people that know and love you, people

that would refer you, and your customers.

It's an amazing setup for house cleaners designed, guess what, by house cleaners.

See, it's perfect, HouseCleaning360.com

All right, on to today's show, which is about house cleaning as a sport.

Now we were in a conversation the other day and a house cleaner asks me if there were

essentials that a house cleaner had to know and do or be,

what would those essentials be?

That was an excellent question and it brought me back to the fact that I'm a marathon runner.

I know, it's awesome.

I ran 29 marathons that are 26.2 miles each.

I've ran dozens and dozens, countless numbers, of half-marathons, which are 13 miles each,

and I've run one ultra, which is a 50 mile marathon.

All right, so you just wouldn't show up at a marathon and wing it.

And I'll tell you that you wouldn't do that because it's just not wise.

You don't just show up and not have the right shoes, not have the right training, not have

the right sleep or the right amount of carbs in your body, because running 26.2 miles takes

a big toll on your body.

It's a long-term race and as you race that long distance you have to budget your energy.

All right, so there's a lot of training that's involved, and one of the reasons that I love

marathons is because there's a strategy behind it.

There's also a strategy behind house cleaning, and house cleaning is very similar to a marathon

in that you just wouldn't show up to a house and wing it, right?

There's training, there's physical training, and there's a bunch of stuff that you need

to know so that you can budget your energy throughout the course of a day and also budget

your resources and your fuel, like food.

All right, so let's go back to the marathon for just a second.

When you get ready for the marathon, and let's say we know that it's 10 or 20 weeks in the

future, we build out a calendar and we figure out every single week how many miles per day

we're going to run.

So we have an easy day, a hard day, an easy day, a long distance day, an easy day.

And you break it up so your body can recover between the training periods.

Then there's a certain series of things that you have to eat.

We eat lots of bananas and lots of pasta and lots of carbs in order to have enough fuel

to get from the different training programs that you're doing.

Then as you get closer to the race, then you go into speed work.

You wouldn't think that speed work has anything to do with marathons because marathons are

long distance races, they're not sprints.

But every single marathon that I've trained for, I've gone down to the track and I've

run laps and I've done speed work to build my muscles for the race, because there is

some speed involved.

Then also you do stair climbing, and then there are other things that you do that are

not exactly exercise related, but they're things like heat compression packs.

If you start to have your knees wig out or your back wigs out or something, there are

other things you do, like jump on the little mini trampoline.

It's really exciting, because as house cleaners we use our physical bodies just like you would

when you train for a marathon.

Okay, so having said that, your body is the instrument that you're going to be using from

the entire course of your career, and this is exciting for this reason.

You have control over it.

So if you're going to be in the business for 15 or 20 years, you have to realize my shoulders

are going to take a hit.

With house cleaning there's a lot of wiping countertops and cleaning mirrors and vacuuming

back and forth, and it's movement that your shoulder takes the hit, so you want to keep

your shoulders in excellent shape.

So as essentials for house cleaners stretching every day is awesome.

Yoga every day is awesome.

Swimming is awesome.

Weight lifting is awesome.

That strengthens your legs and your back and your core.

I use one of the little mini trampolines, and I'll put a link to it in the show notes,

because I'm a big fan that every house cleaner needs one.

When you get home from a day and your body aches, your back aches or your neck is tweaked

out or you just are like blah, having one of those days, get on the little mini trampoline.

You don't have to jump high, but you can just jump for a couple of minutes in front of the

TV and it will completely realign your spine.

I'm such a huge fan of this.

If you want to go extra time, it's a great core building exercise for your butt, for

your quads, for your abs.

I mean it's just a great, great series of exercises that you're going to use every day

all those muscles while your cleaning houses.

What are the essentials for house cleaning?

The essentials are that you are on a routine.

By that I mean if you're an elite athlete you have a routine for your body.

What that means is you go to bed about the same time every night, you eat our meals about

the same time every day, and if you transfer this over into house cleaning you can do the

exact same things, because you are the instrument that will drive your business.

If you are treating yourself like an elite athlete, when you go to clean houses suddenly

you're in a different game, because a lot of the house cleaners that are out there ...

I'm not kidding, they'll show up and they'll wing it.

They may have stayed up way too late last night or they may have been out drinking with friends.

And now they expect they're going to show up and they're going to be on their A game.

They're not.

And when they get fired the person whose house it was that let them go, they're going to

be looking for another house cleaner that has, here's the key, consistency.

Consistency.

If every single day you show up and you feel a certain way you can perform at a certain

level, and house cleaning is a performance.

Like I said, it's all physical activity.

There's a lot of moving. There's bending. There's squatting. There's lifting.

There's all kinds of stuff that's involved in house cleaning.

And if you're out of shape and you are not at your elite best

rumor is going to get out and you may get fired and never know why.

But the house cleaners that are out there that work really hard on keeping a routine

for their physical body, they show up every single day feeling about the same way, and

when they have a down day, just like you do on sports, you can still go through the motions

and you can still perform a really awesome game, even if you don't feel 100% your best.

So the essentials that I'm talking about right now are you.

It is a very serious thing to treat yourself like your company's biggest asset, because

if you just get off on a tangent and you just show up every day and you wing it and then

you don't understand why your body is not responding and you're exhausted and you have

constant lethargy and whatever it is you're eating through the day is not enough fuel

to get you through the day, there's a whole bunch of other things you need to look at,

because your business will just collapse piece by piece until it just absolutely dissolves,

and you don't want to go out there and try to compete in an aggressive, competitive marketplace

and not have your instrument in tune.

Okay, those are the essentials.

That's my two cents for today and until we meet again

leave the world a cleaner place than when you found it.

How did you learn mind mapping technique? Ask Michael S04E05 - Duration: 2:41.

Hello, this is "Ask Michael show" where you ask your productivity questions and I answer them.

Let's go! There was a question about

mind maps. I'm talking a lot about mind mapping, I use mind mapping,

I use mind mapping software, I mind map on this whiteboard a lot, and how I learned it.

I just saw a few I think videos or a few articles about mind mapping

and I just started doing it because it just felt natural that

things will just be outlined in a more like spread way

and I enjoyed the software. I have Mind Node app which I use right now and

I also used iThoughts and Free Mind and Xmind on the Mac. So there are a few

really good software packages. Some are free some are paid that you can use

and of course having a big whiteboard is really helpful

because I have just the whole canvas to just write there

and I can correct things and for me... I never liked the outlining

just a linear outlining, because if this has to do with that

and then that then maybe it should be up or down or whatever and

with mind map it's a kind of almost three-dimensional and this is why I like it.

I really don't think you have to spend lots of time learning it because it's kind of natural.

It's natural how our connections work so I encourage you to check it out.

I encourage you to try it to maybe get a piece of software on your computer or

tablet or maybe just start with a big piece of paper and just start

mapping things out and you'll see how this goes. But anyway, there is

I think the official book by Tony Buzan about mind mapping so you can check it out

as well and then maybe learn something there. I totally encourage

this kind of note-taking, especially before writing any major article I first

do a mind map and then from the mind map actually I export this mind map

to my writing software and then I just fill in the blanks. So for me when

I start writing a longer article I start with a mindmap first

so make sure to check it out.

If You Ask Me What I Came Into This Life to Do, I'll Tell You - I came to live out loud - Duration: 0:59.

Hi guys I'm trying this new thing where I share some of my favorite motivational quotes

that inspire me but also kick me in the butt when I need it the most.

So today's quote is a quote by Émile Zola and it reads, "If you ask me what I came into

this life to do, I'll tell you.

I came to live out loud."

And living out loud for me means at least three things.

1.

Being unapologetically and authentically yourself 2.

It means not living life under fear or threat of what other people may think of you.

3. And it means figuring out what the best version of yourself is and then taking steps

each and every day to make that best version of yourself a reality.

So that's my big question and challenge for you today.

What is your big purpose and what steps are you taking each and every day to make that

big purpose a reality in your own life.

That's it for me today.

Join me next week for another Quote Vlog and until then have an amazing life.

Bye!

The Garage - Holger and the Ice Challenge - Duration: 4:29.

Oh, we're on air...

Hello and welcome to The Garage.

Today it's all about ice and rubber.

Of course this is the perfect topic for Continental.

Our expert today is Holger Lange.

Holger, nice that you could join us.

He has been with Continental for a while. He's responsible for winter tire development.

He's going to tell us why it's so important to switch from summer tires to winter tires in winter time.

What are we doing today?

We are going to look at different rubber samples.

Okay.

I have two kind of rubber samples here.

one is a rubber sample from a winter tire.

May I try?

Sure.

Okay, very soft and flexible.

And the second one is from a summer tire.

It's marked with a Sun.

I can hardly bend it actually.

That is typical for summer and winter tires: Summer tires normally have a stiffer compound.

And the winter tires have a softer one.

Why is that?

It's because for winter conditions you need more flexibility, especially at very low temperatures.

What is the difference? What is it in here what's not in the summer tire?

We have in the winter tire a special kind of oil which also works at very low temperatures.

Up till minus 40 or 50 degrees.

Okay, once again. Just to show you...

Flexible not flexible.

Anyway. Okay what are we going to be doing with these pieces.

We're going to find out what happens in the arctic circle...

...so at very low temperatures...

How do the winter and the summer sample behave in those temperatures.

I brought some winter with me: Liquid Nitrogen.

[Music]

It's kind of stylish.

Kids that are watching, this is the new trend.

This is how you go to school nowadays.

You need those fat gloves? why?

It's really cold.

How cold?

Minus 196 degrees.

It looks like water...

yeah

[Music]

Next we are going to cool down the samples in there.

This is the winter tire sample.

[Music]

And now: Impact.

Nothing happened?

If you take the simple it's cold, but still flexible.

It's still flexible, okay.

So that means you could still use this tire in the winter time.

At around Minus 30 degrees, right?

Yes, it's still flexible and gets grip on the road...

Well, what about the summer tire sample?

[Music]

This is different...

What happened?!

Okay, now you got to take a look at this...

It completely burst. I can actually take out the pieces.

That's crazy.

So you'd have no chance with this tire, even though it's premium.

How can that happen?

It's a summer tire.

It's for higher temperatures.

For the really low temperatures you need the winter compound and winter tires.

Wow, thank you very much for this experiment.

I definitely know why it's so important to get the right tires at the right time.

I'd like to do one more thing.

I would like to take a picture with you, is that okay?

At the end of the season, I'm going to stick all of these pictures into an album.

Are you ready okay? All right...

Smile...
