Thunderstorm

I confess

I killed him

It felt good to see the knife entering his skin

I did it. I admit it.

I brought him down with the grin

I know you judge me, but at least lower your chin

You look, you speak, as if you're not my twin

For I know, deep down, you would be the one committing sin had you seen had you witnessed how he,

Unpleasantly thin

After hours and hours of carving him in

Think me fool, think me mad

But where do I begin?

He didn't look he didn't speak

like one of my kin

I planned, I slept

Then took it for a spin

But I knew and laughed for my eminent twin

Everything moved, everything went, just as it should have been

His body his pelt made a nice pigskin

His eyes they melted

Turned into a pin. His blood

Salty. Made a strong gin.

His bones,

Heavy.

Made a loud din.

His intestine, Long.

Stored the meat within.

Thank me. Praise me, to the sound of violin

Instead you fry, instead you kill. Break wood over my shin.

The chair,

I accept.

Thunderstorm in a tin.

How to Start a Therapy Blog | Why you Should Start Blogging Today - Duration: 6:37.

What's up everybody? So you see the other therapists out there with their fancy

looking blogs and you're thinking, "That looks like a lot of work! And what good

does it even do anyway?" Let me tell you: starting a blog is totally worth it in

private practice, but it doesn't have to take up all of your time. In this video

I'm going to show you how to work smarter, not harder when it comes to

starting a blog to market your private practice.

Welcome to Private Practice Skills. I'm Dr. Marie Fang, psychologist in private

practice. I post videos offering tools I learned the hard way about starting and

growing private practice so that you don't have to. When I first started in

private practice, I was an intern in a group practice with 15 therapists. We

each needed to write a blog post once per year - just once a year!

And inevitably whenever it was my turn to write my blog post, I would be

sitting staring at a blank computer screen thinking I need to come up with

the most impossibly profound thing to say in this blog post. And often I never

even got it done. I mean, who can relate with that? But blogging does not have to

be so tricky. Over a few years I figured out a system where I only spend an hour

at most writing my blog, and that includes the process of sharing on

social media. I'm going to show you how to do it. But first let's talk about why

it's worth starting a blog. I mean, why does it even matter? There are so many

reasons why it's worth starting a blog! I'm going to share just a few of my

favorites here. Number one: more ways for potential clients to find you. Every time

you post a blog post, Google sees that as a new web page affiliated with your site.

The more web pages affiliated with your site, the more opportunities potential

clients have to find your website in a Google search. Number two: boost your SEO.

If you've watched my video about SEO then you know how important SEO is to

showing up in search engines. Every time you post a blog post, not only will that

same keyword research make it easier for someone to find that post in a google

search, but the more web pages you have tied to your primary therapist business

domain the higher that website will show in search results, Google thinks you have

more authority. Number 3: build trust both with clients and referral resources.

Whenever I meet with a new client, I like to ask why they decided to choose me

amongst the plethora of therapists in my area. And more often than not someone

will say that they were looking at a few different therapists but they saw that I

had a blog post and maybe that was just exactly what they're dealing with and

needing to come into counseling for, or maybe my tone in the blog post helped them

build a sense of trust with me and that's why

they chose me. Number four: offer resources for current and past clients.

In seasons when clients aren't meeting with me at the moment, blog posts create

a way for them to stay connected and also make an easier on ramp for them to

return to therapy if they ever choose to return in the future. Okay this is the

part that you've been waiting for: I'm going to share my tips to get you started

with your first blog post. Number one: Make sure that your blog is connected to

your therapy business page. Most web service providers like Wix, WordPress,

Squarespace, and others have a blog platform built in. You're going to want to

use that rather than creating a separate domain name. The benefit of this is that

having the blog tied with your main domain name helps boost that domain's SEO.

Number two: Write what you know. We're all an expert in something, so rather than

try to focus on being like so-and-so over there who's really awesome at

whatever, be yourself. When you are yourself and you bring that into your

blog post, it's going to help save you time in writing that blog post and it's also

going to help potential clients see who you are.

Number three: solve a problem. What kinds of problems do you see your clients

experience in the therapy process? Think about those problems and see if there's

any little tips or tidbits you could offer in a blog post to help address

that issue. Now the idea isn't to squeeze an entire therapy session in your blog

post, it's just to be able to send somebody away with a helpful tool to

solve that problem. Number four: do keyword research. I go over this in an

earlier video, but you can see here that all the same tips from that video apply

for each blog post. This is an important step so be sure you check out that video

and apply it to your blog. Number five: keep it simple. Sometimes when I find

myself getting stuck in the middle of a blog post it can be a sign that I'm

actually trying to cram in like five blog posts into one, and that just

doesn't work. So if you come into that issue try to parse out those separate

blog posts, save them for another day, and just work on one simple item for now.

Number six: Use copyright-free photos with the keywords in the title and the

alt tags. I like to use unsplash.com to discover beautiful photos and credit

the Creator when possible. When you save the photo to your computer, change the

title of the photo to your keywords or blog post title. Once you upload the

video into your website editor, also include those same terms in the alt tags.

Every website editor has a space for you to include an alt tag in your photo.

Number seven: Include keywords in your URL, title, meta-description, headers, and

tags, as well as organically throughout the post. This will help people find your

post when they do a Google search. Make sure those keywords are an

authentic reflection of what information exists in your post. If your keywords are

misleading, people will click away from your blog post almost as soon as they

arrive. This is called a bounce rate and Google keeps track of this data and will

cause your site to rank lower if people are clicking away from your page within

a few seconds of arriving. Number 8: bonus if you can embed your own video

utilizing the same keywords. More on this in a future video.

Number 9: consistency is key! If you're finding all of these tips completely

overwhelming, it's better to just go ahead and write a blog anyway, see what

comes out, make mistakes, learn from the mistakes, and keep going. I'd rather you

start a blog and do it imperfectly and grow then wait till you have the perfect

blog together and potentially never do it. I hope you found this video helpful

as you start your blog in private practice. Until next time, from one

therapist to another I wish you well.

You Made Thousands of Hats! - Duration: 2:29.

Lion Brand has partnered with Stomp Out Bullying to take a stand with hat not hate.

Knit or crochet a blue hat and share it on social media with the hashtag #hatnothate.

Then wear your hat on World Bullying Prevention Day October 1st to tell the world that you stand up to bullies.

So we want to blue up social. I just want to see blue for days.

You guys have sent in so many hats to outfit a local school here in New York of 1500 students.

So they can wear it on World Day of Bullying Prevention on October 1st.

In case you're wondering what's happening right now.

I am buried in packages from all of you. You guys are awesome.

The mailman hates me but I love you.

Five beautiful hats that Jean sent us all the way from California. Thank you so much.

And this also comes from Texas, thank you so much.

And it says first class on the envelope, and you are first class Shirley.

Is this Hawaii???

Today in the mail we went international for realsies.

Not that Canada isn't for realsies.

But Benghazi Libya. Wow!

You guys have continued to prove what a tight-knit community we are.

It's amazing what support can do. It's amazing what a community can do when they come together.

I wish I knew you when I was in fourth grade,

because you would have given me that little piece of blue hope that I needed.

You've Made It! What's Next? - Duration: 5:01.

For sure. Okay.

Oh, there was one other thing I wanted to talk about.

You made a post a little while and I thought it was really cool.

I think it speaks to your mindset as a solid entrepreneur,

someone who's trying to build for the long term.

You made a post about an investment that you made

regarding you've made some money in dropshipping.

And I think a lot of people who make money in those early days,

so many of them you won't see them again.

They won't be able to build a sustainable long-term business.

And you made a post about some of the things that you've done

with your earnings from dropshipping

investing specifically in real estate

and I think that's such as a good message for people in the audience

who found some success to really make sure

that they're investing in things that have long-term potential

even outside of their business.

Can you talk a little bit about that?

Yeah, man.

So, one of the biggest things is that I see people forget

why they started in the first place.

Most people get started online as a way or as a vehicle

to gain freedom, time freedom, location freedom and financial freedom.

But as you start making some money,

you start forgetting that you started for that in the first place,

and you start trading the freedom that you earned for other stuff.

Like most people start online, they make money, and they buy.

They start spending the money in things that, in my opinion,

are not congruent with the reason you start in the first place, right?

So, if you start for freedom,

and then you're spending all your money

and starting from scratch every time,

then it's not congruent with the reason you started.

So, what I'm doing is, I've always had that vision,

regardless if I start making money or no,

I knew that my long-term goal was the freedom.

So, my game plan is very simple.

My game plan is make money with the internet

regardless if it's eCommerce or affiliate.

I do some affiliate marketing.

I only promote ClickFunnels, but I make some money with that.

And regardless of any income that I produce online,

just goes to real estate, to real estate, to real estate.

In the past twelve months,

I bought two apartments which got me super excited

because it was a freaking dream of mine to get one of those

by the time I was like 20.

And then I just said like, "Man, if I can get three,

then by the time, I'm 30.

If I can get 30, and I can just have them rented.

I have it fully rented the three of them.

It's like, man, real estate is, in my opinion, the long-term plan.

And my message is not you have to go to real estate.

My message is remember the reason you started in the first place.

If it was for freedom--

If you made $250K, don't spend that on a Lambo.

That's 250K, right?

Unless you want to be in the rat race forever

and be a slave of your own business.

I just think people have to remember that stuff,

and one day you make a lot of money.

It's very easy to spend the money.

It's a lot easier to spend the money than to make it, right?

-Yeah. - You swipe.

And to keep it is the hardest part.

And especially, if you can keep it and grow it.

Do your apartments cash flow positively?

Yes. So, basically, what I did is--

this was kind of my idea with this because since I'm very young,

I don't get-- it's hard to get credit, right?

If you've never bought anything before,

if you don't have any debt, owe anyone money

or anything at the bank.

So, you said the first two I bought them cash.

And the reason I did that was because I wanted to have

positive cash flow, on two.

So, if one was not rented, one was still producing.

And by buying those cash, I was able to set kind of a foundation

so that I could go ahead and tell the man,

"Look, I have two, if for some reason I don't pay my credit,

you can just take one like the other ones."

So, the third one, I got it with credit

because I want to build up my credit, very, very important.

When you're in a young age, you want to build your credit.

So, I just went ahead.

It was pretty easy for me because I just said,

"You know what, I already have two,

this third one, I just put, I think was 20% of minimum

and then it's rented and is paying by itself.

I'm not so much about you're making money right now--

I have to make positive cash flow,

but even if I had the three of them breaking even,

I'm happy because I'm an owner of three.

Yeah.

And I'm using the bank's money to be the owner of three.

So, my game plan from now on, now that I have--

I paid two upfront and the one whose credit like more--

all of them that I'm going to get right now are going to be credited

because why would I use my own money to purchase them.

All I needed were the first two to set the base and that's—

I'm just got to credit, credit, credit, credit.

Amazing, man.

Well, good luck on your quest for 30.

Are these in Costa Rica or around the world?

In Costa.

So, I want to have all my eggs in one basket.

Like here, I don't know.

I don't trust too much-- the situation here for a lot of them.

Anything can happen to a small country.

Third-world countries are a bit more...

Surviving my first Krudar Muay Thai class | Kensington Market - Duration: 3:51.

So today we're at Krudar, and, come and watch me get my ass kicked.

Sah Wah Dee Khap, guys! Welcome to Krudar Muay Thai. Come on in, let's have a tour.

Hey guys, my name is Taylor, one of the Muay Thai instructors, personal trainers, and fighters here at Krudar Muay Thai.

So we are a 7000 sq/ft facility, with two floors.

So upstairs we have our ring. We got some heavy bags.

The basement we run fitness classes, boot camps, and kettlebells.

Muay Thai dates back a few hundred years ago.

It was originally developed as a battlefield tactic when

Thailand was known as the kingdom of Siam and they were battling against the

Burmese also known as the art of eight limbs because it uses two fists two

elbows to knees and two shins. This was later developed into a sport which we

now know as Muay Thai which also uses some above the waist grappling, some

clinching sweeps and dumps as well.

We try to keep it as close to Thailand as

possible whether it's with the culture on the gym training itself.

for a lot of us here at the gym, Muay Thai is in fact the lifestyle so it doesn't just start

and end in the gym, you take my tie with us everywhere we go in our everyday life

whether it's getting proper rest proper nutrition staying disciplined

being respectful.

Kru Darwin's been involved in Muay Thai for over 25 years.

he's extremely dedicated to the sport to the martial art

it's a big passion of his and that's part of the reason why I'm so happy to

be a part of this gym is to be to work under the Kru Darwin and to train under

Kru Darwin, it's pretty amazing.

So we cater to everybody. Professional fighters

all the way down to first-timers. People that are just

interested in getting in shape. Class structure 90-minute classes. First five

to ten minutes skipping to warm up, the body a solid 30 minutes of strength and

conditioning so lots of jumping jacks, sit-ups, push-ups, squats, activate the

muscles, get a get a full-body warmup and then the last 45 to an hour is a

technique portion. Shadowboxing, learning the basics, stance guard, of course all

the weapons: punches, elbows, knees, and kicks, some technical partner drills and

as well as paddler work.

In Muay Thai, it's respectful to bow to your instructor

you're a partner at the beginning and end of each session.

Sah Wah Dee Khap.
