Free To Choose 1980 – Who Protects the Consumer?– FDA - Duration: 1:35.

FRIEDMAN: These carts are taken to

an FDA official- the documents required

to get just one drug approved.

WORKER: Well, hi there, must be the

new one they called me about.

FRIEDMAN: It took six years work by the

drug company to get this drug passed.

WORKER: This one right here... all 119 volumes.

DR. WARDELL: The implications for the

patients are- that therapeutic decisions that

used to be the preserve of

the doctor and the patient-

are increasingly becoming made at

a national level by committees of experts.

And these committees and the agency

for whom they are acting,

the FDA, are highly skewed towards avoiding risks.

So there is a tendency for us

to have drugs that are safer,

but not to have drugs that are effective.

Now, I've heard some remarkable statements

from some of these advisory

committees in considering drugs.

One has seen the statement:

"There are not enough patients

with the disease of this severity

to warrant marketing this drug for general use."

Now that's fine...if what you are

trying to do is to minimize drug

toxicity for the whole population.

But if you happen to be one of these

"not enough patients,"

and you have a disease that is

of high severity- or a disease that's very rare...

then that's just tough luck on you.

Easy Steps For Installing Rasbian Stretch On Your Raspberry Pi - Duration: 9:18.

in my previous video on the Raspberry Pi I showed you how to install noobs in

this one I'm going to show you how to install the raspbian stretch desktop

which i think is a lot easier I'm Tom Kvichak and this is Toms Trains

and Things this channel was created to help other modelers who are in need of

guidance in pursuing their dream of building a model railroad and to

automate our railroad we are using Raspberry Pi and DCC++ and I showed you

how to install the noobs software on it and once you put the SD card in the

Raspberry Pi it does all the configuration from there but I'm going

to show you how to do the configuration with the raspbian stretch desktop so all

we have to do is burn the image to the SD card put it in and it's done all you

then all you have to do after that is just answer a few questions like what

country you're in what language and what keyboard and what timezone and you're

done and you could set a password if you want to also so let's get going with

this demonstration right now now we have to download the zip file from the

Raspberry Pi website from the raspbian fire web site we're gonna go down to

downloads and we're going to install the raspbian operating system we're going to

bypass the noobs because I already showed you how to do that one okay now

we have some choices here we have the desktop when recommended software we

haven't without the recommended software and we have the light we're going to do

the whole thing with the recommended software just in case you want to do

some other tasks on there like it has like an office program on there it has a

couple of games on there and you could do a lot of different things with

adjusting Kate we're just going to do that one right here so we're going to

download the zip file to our

data okay and it's 1.8 gigabytes so it's going to take a little while to do it

while we're waiting for the file to download on our computer we're going to

format our SD card now I'm using Windows and I'm just going to use the windows

format or on here so we have our SD card right there I think I already put

something on this SD card so what we're gonna do is we're just going to format

that and erase what's on it so we'll come down to here where it says format

we're going to do fat32 which is the default and we're gonna

start it gives you the warning format complete and we're done so let's see how

far we are this is going to take a while it says 12 more minutes left if you

don't want to use the Windows version to on to format a disk or if you have a

macking over to the installation guide right here and it'll give you some links

to 7-zip for Windows the unarchive ER for mac and unzip for linux you could

download those programs there for your operating system so you could format

your SD card now while we're at it we're going to install HR over here I'm going

to download for Windows x64 and now it's going to download that along with the

Raspberry Pi so now it appears the etcher is already finished so we'll just

open that up and we'll show you what that looks like you have to agree

installing let's minimize that while that's happening there

all right now we have HR on there okay this is a little bit different than the

icon on here is a little bit different than the one I have on my other computer

so let's open this up here okay it's open now and all we're going to do is

wait on the download because it's still downloading the raspbian file right here

it says it's got five minutes left so we'll just wait on that now we finally

finished downloading the file so what we could do is we select the image so click

on there we have it and in progress data it's this one right here raspbian

stretch full zip and we open it and a good thing about this is you don't have

to unzip it it'll take care of that now we select the drive okay we got the SD

card in h so we select that one click continue and flash make sure 15 point

eight gigabytes so I got the 16 gigabyte SD card in there and we flash okay SD

card starting alright now this should take a few minutes and once it's done we

have a bootable Drive now how quickly this takes the flash depends entirely on

your processor on your computer now the computer that I have right now is about

eight years old it's on its last leg and it's gonna take a while and you can see

it's a yet 54% I've been doing this for about five minutes now okay on my other

computer that I just bought in January of this year it flashed it in about I'd

say about three minutes and it downloaded the file in two minutes so

it's a lot faster so how long it takes depends

on the speed of your computer now it's finished so we could pull this thing out

and install it in our Raspberry Pi so altogether it took 15 minutes to burn

the image on to this SD card so now all we have to do is put this in the

Raspberry Pi and it's ready to go it already has the operating system on

there it'll boot right up all you have to do is set up your country your

language and your timezone and you're good to go and then whatever other

configuration you want to do to the Raspberry Pi let's see what happens when

I turn this on

there's the raspberries rebooting in five seconds there we go

there's the welcome screen okay now we got to set this up again the

United States American English and we look for New York New York right there

use us keyboard and this is the same thing we had to go through with the

noobs to set everything up I'm not going to put a password on this it's searching

for networks click Next even though this is a new system we just uploaded it it

goes through the updates in it's up to date now okay I'll reboot okay we're

ready to go let's make sure we have our Wi-Fi right here train of thought that's

good that's all there is to it now you know

two different ways to install the operating system on your Raspberry Pi

and in my q and a's i'll show you a third method i was surprised by the

comments that I received from the first one and you'll be surprised too of how

easy it is to set up not just DC C++ but any DCC system that you have and I'll

reveal that in the Q&A coming up in a few days so until the next time

we'll see Ya.

Rest: A homemade TCG that you'll probably never play - Duration: 3:38.

All right

So I'm making a

TCG a homemade

TCG I got

Water monsters a Earth monsters what else I got, got ice

Forest, Heck

I got dreams

Wait what , okay let me start over. So basically

This game is about two players sleeping, they're dreaming or having nightmares. I'm not really sure which but they're dreaming and

They're trying to wake each other up, but they also want to stay sleeping

So the player that wakes up loses

So person that reaches forty wake points loses. Yeah

and

Let's look at some of the characters I got-- or some of the cards

I got

uhhhh

Pisiniarfik

I got

Drowned wraith

uhhh

An anchor

Serpent

Tortoise, pisiniarfik

uhhhhhhhhhhh

Pilako, Frit

Hyra

Mortimer

Uh, and Wyrm of Frost and there's uh, some others but I didn't draw those yet.

And yeah

So let's go over how to play the game even though you're probably never gonna play

All right. So this is the playing field

I should have wrote a script for this. Alright

so

each player starts off by drawing five cards

They can place one terror or monster card as I guess it would be considered

until the dream field or the nightmare field

The way the dream field works is well. It's like the regular field, you know, you just place a monster and you can attack

You can also place spells called dreams here. Like maybe I shouldn't I say spells

Okay, let me start over each draws five cards

and in that hand you can play a

terror on this part of the field or this part of the field

It's on this part of the field you can attack

If it's on this part of the field, wait I don't think you can see the mouse

If you're on the nightmare part of the field, you can't attack but the monster's effect does activate

Well, it has to have ????? An attachment to it. Like Frost or Ember card attached to it to use it

And whenever you use an effect you put the frost or ember energy into the stockpile or if you use a dream

Which is like a spell you also

Use up energy and put it in the stockpile

the only thing that doesn't use up energy is attacking regularly or

Using nightmare cards.

Oh my God, this is this is hard I don't like this

So I do want this game to be taken seriously, but I'm pretty sure it won't ever be taken seriously

even if it's ever released

But yeah, if it is then I hope you like it and I hope the art isn't terrible like it is now and yeah

Thanks for watching I guess

I'm so sorry

'Puttering time is important' Jeff Bezos lets you into his routine - Daily News - Duration: 3:43.

Jeff Bezos is revealing the routine that helps him succeed and lead Amazon as CEO, and it includes ample time to putter around in the morning

Bezos is not only the CEO of Amazon which is developing AI voice technology and remaking the entire e-commerce landscape, he is also the founder of Blue Origin, a aerospace manufacturer and spaceflight services company, and he is the owner of The Washington Post

He told the audience at the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. 'I go to bed early, I get up early

'  'I like to putter in the mornings,' he said, according to CNBC. 'I like to read the newspaper, I like to have coffee, I like to have breakfast with my kids before they go to school,' Bezos explained

'My puttering time is very important to me.'   He occassionally cooks breakfast but he is often in charge of doing the dishes

According to a study by the University of California, taking time to do mindless tasks like the dishes can be helpful for creativity

Mindless tasks allow the mind to wander and be more creative.  He sets his first meeting of the day, which is devoted to Amazon, for 10am

'I like to do my high IQ meetings before lunch, like anything that's going to be really mentally challenging, that's a 10am meeting,' he says

According to a study by biologist Christoph Randler, 'People whose performance peaks in the morning are better positioned for career success, because they're more proactive than people who are at their best in the evening

'Once the clock strikes 5pm, however he starts to wrap any particularly large decisions up and banks any resolutions for the following day

' 'By 5pm, I'm like ''I can't think about this today, let's try that again tomorrow at 10am,'' Bezos says

Share this article Share He also makes sure to get enough sleep as often as he can

'I get eight hours of sleep, unless I'm traveling in different time zones,' he explains

'Sometimes it's impossible but I am very focused on it. For me, I need eight hours of sleep

I think better, I have more energy, my mood is better, all these things.'  'Think about it, as a senior executive, what do you really get paid to do?' Bezos says

'As a senior executive, you get paid to make a small number of high quality decisions

Your job is not to make thousands of decisions every day.'Taking care of oneself is crucial to being able to think out the decisions that need to be made, according to Bezos

'The quality of those decisions might be lower because you're tired or grouchy or any number of things

'

SoLonely - screen lyrics / lyric video - Duration: 1:51.

[Verse 1] Lost, but I'm on my way

Problems, that I know I'm gonna have to face And they talk, like they know everything

And they flock, when it's all okay

What happened to the friendship then?

You backing off, then you coming back again (No, no, no)

I don't fuck around with that, you ain't my friend

Fuck everything you ever, ever said

[Chorus] Lights off, I don't wanna see you

I don't wanna see you

Lights off, I don't wanna see you I don't wanna see you

[Bridge] I heard you (I heard)

I heard you

[Verse 2] Phone calls, don't really mean anything anymore

'Cause you talk, like I don't mean a thing I'm okay, if you're okay

That's what you say, and I don't believe

[Chorus] Lights off, I don't wanna see you

Lights off, I don't wanna see you

Mark Ronson feat. Miley Cyrus - Nothing Breaks Like a Heart - Review and Reaction - Duration: 4:26.

Welcome back to another Sunday song review

Today, I'm going to be looking at British musician Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus now, they're working together

They just released a song together called nothing breaks like a heart. So Miley Cyrus is the singer Mark Ronson

I think produced a song and wrote the song together with Miley Cyrus

I'm just gonna play the YouTube video go through it do a reaction and see what happens

Let's get right into it though. This song is called nothing breaks like a heart Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson

Melody's pretty good. I like the melody just kind of kicked into a chorus here. That's a

Serious serious car chase no one's driving the car little kids are shooting guns

Remember what you said to me we're drunk in love in Tennessee and I'll hold it so it's a love song obviously

There's some bad tension and emotion

I like this part

They're catchy very catchy part of the song like that

Like Bonnie and Clyde, running away from the cops

Obviously, there's some symbolism here the crashing of the car of breaking your heart

That's very symbolic to a crucifix about interesting song tons of symbolism going on in that video

And very catchy chorus. So that's very atypical of my reviews and reactions

I did more of a reaction there and less of a review if you're new here

Please punch that subscribe button and we'll see you in the next Sunday song review or reaction

Are you coming on Serve next summer? - Duration: 3:48.

when I came to Serve I signed up 3 days before

and everyone welcomed me into the group and it was really fun

I was a little bit nervous but after I got to know everyone

it was really great and I had a lot time helping with people

and getting to know everyone

Okay. I was really looking forward to getting

know the people in my youth group

I was looking forward to getting out of my comfort zone

and meeting new people my age from different places

I experienced God in a new way when

I saw the sunset when I was sitting outside

of the church in Victoria

I saw God when we did devotions in the morning by the water

I experienced God during our small groups

and the messages that we had each night

I experienced God at a soup kitchen

called the Rainbow Kitchen and there was this

man who did a buddhist prayer and it was really interesting

and I talked to him after

I enjoyed making new friendships and also washing a corvette

I enjoyed going to Mystic Beach with all these

people from different churches and places

I enjoyed spending time with my youth group

after a week of serving

on our road trip to Tofino

what I enjoyed about Serve was always being in the water

I was always jumping in waterfalls

we were having wate..ahh

sign up for Serve, its going to be a great week

4 WAYS TO DEVELOP YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY BRAND - Duration: 1:51.

(energetic rap music)

- The future of my brand.

You know, things are changing so quickly over the years.

It's faster and faster.

You always kinda have to reinvent yourself,

improve yourself.

You always gotta learn, you always gotta change,

you always gotta adapt.

Especially in the fashion industry.

What it is today was different from what it was last month,

what it was last year.

Not just the style, but how things are worked.

So you always gonna have to adapt,

you can't just sit and wait for it to come to you.

- In the future, I would definitely want to do

high fashion photography.

It is something that I've been interested in

for quite a while now.

It's definitely much more advanced than what I do now,

therefore I'm building a team of small crew.

It's going to have a designer, stylist

and a makeup artist that will definitely

help me to get into high fashion photography.

(piano music)

- With Moisnomois, I wanna get

to the print publishing in world wide.

Maybe make it into a brand itself.

We'll see how it goes.

(soft R&B music)

- [Toma] I wanna focus on more vivid

than conceptual portraiture.

I want my images speak for themselves.

I am just experimenting and we'll see where it takes me.

(plastic crumbling)

(upbeat music)

Task and appointment management - English - Duration: 2:33.

We start with the task function first.

Tasks require a title, a responsible consultant and a task date.

Furthermore, the task can be added to a directory as well as task can be explained in more detail

or made visible to the client.

Tasks can be linked to multiple consultants.

A task therefore appears, when due, on the signal list of the respective user.

The specified priority of the respective task is clearly recognizable in the task list by

a color-coded icon.

We now switch to the appointment overview.

First, we select a category for the appointment.

In the settings for the reference value tables, you can define your own terminology for the

appointment categories.

You then have the option of adding an appointment to a predefined directory.

If you work in the field of child and youth welfare services, or in any other field, which

is billing on the basis of professional service hours, you can select here the different billing types.

In the configuration, the corresponding billing rates can be deposited, which automatically

calculates the amount of money which must be charged to the authority offices.

By assessing the outcome of the participation of a client in a certain appointment,

changes to the billing can be made in addition.

In the other text fields, you can define the responsible consultant, the exact time,

the date and a description of the appointment.

Appointments can be set as a single appointment for only one client, or as a group appointment

for multiple clients.

Furthermore, additional consultants can be invited for the appointment.

With "Send" you send the appointment to the Outlook calendar of all participating consultants

and with "Copy" you can easily create recurring appointments with the same participants

and the same content for another date.
