Waching daily Dec 3 2018

Hello everyone and welcome back to another video today's video we're going to be diving into my Notion

2019 layout I wanted to share with you guys all of the aspects of my account

giving you an idea of how I use it on a daily basis and

Also diving into some of the pages I've use and how they are set up currently

So this video will hopefully give you a bit of a peek into a working notion account that you could potentially

Apply to your account. So stick around for today's video if you're looking to get a deep dive into notion

So guys it's great to be back and I hope you are all doing well

So in today's video as I mentioned, I will be diving into my notion account

First thing I want to start with is probably the home page because the home page is I guess the dashboard that you land on

When you've got an ocean account and as you can see here

it's changed a little bit since

The last setup that I made if you're looking to look at the last set up so I made all clued a playlist below

I do one every three months to give you an outline of how it's changed in 90 days or so

and last one was in August and what I had previously

was like a pinned notes area up here and then just sort of a couple of

Sort of like pages down here wasn't really that committed to some extent whereas this has

drastically changed in terms of the amount that's on here and

Also the layout so what I want to start with is this cover photo, I chose a really simple mountain

I quite like the fact that I have like a mountain here

there's something about like

When you've got a dashboard either having a home or like some sort of hub

Picture and I feel for me like a mountain could be that so I'm sort of theming it around a mountain weirdly

So we've kept it pretty much the same

I've moved the quote mark just below so I previously had a quote block just below it saying Francesco's workspace

Whereas now I have something which was recently added to notion called a gallery now

This is a block that appears here

And what I've done with it is I've gone over to the property section and I've gone can preview and plat pressed page

Content and the reason I've done that is so that it appear like this so that anything in the page content

Bleeds through onto a preview screen here now

There is pretty simple. I've got two areas currently in this section

And as that's Inbox now, you guys know how I use inbox

although it's slightly changed in a way because once you click into this gallery you get this almost like preview window and

Basically, I start adding anything down to here. So for example, I'll add articles actually just cleared this one this morning

so it's actually

fresh and clean

But normally it's full of articles or little pages that I'm not yet fully committed to adding down here

And I'll clear that every Thursday or Friday

Today was Friday. So I did at Friday morning

and this one over here is called daily log and you notice that the name of these is

Always gonna be at the bottom and this one's full so I've got daily log here

So I click in and again new sort of preview window comes up and you can see here. I've got a

Quote mark with a colored background and I've got four different areas

Now I'm using I would say two of these actively but the other two I'm currently experimenting with I'm not fully committed to

The first is the health dashboard which will dive into an in a bit

And I've talked about it a little bit in the past the journal sign of staff

Which I'm not really fully committed to yet and the workout routine

I've also got a personal budget again, which I'm still experimenting with now down here

I've got a few notes of do I need a freelance dashboard area of

How well I've done during the day do I really need it like an outline of you know?

What the three things you've done during the day?

I try testing that with a morning lock, but I wasn't sure so that's currently that area

And and I find I have fallen in love with this new gallery feature because I really find this

Panel view to be one of the nicest ways to get into my notion account. It feels really fluid

I don't know what it is about. It. Don't ask me because it's just so simple

It's almost like having a separated area. So down here. It's pretty much the same

I have a section for personal for my freelance work working with clients

YouTube so planning as much youtube stuff as I can in terms of this channel and other courses and other

Content I do that surrounds youtube learning is down here

Which i'm yet to fully dig deep into which will come on to a little bit later

Some checklists and also a health area as well. Now as you can imagine this is

Always being added to but I try i'm trying my best

As this sort of evolves to make sure to breadcrumb well and what I mean by that is for example

Driving, I recently added this one out of car, which I have inside of house

Will probably comes out in a bit

so I've added it down here as an area but I don't want it to get too long because else I'm gonna be

Scrolling and I don't want to really scroll past that I just want like a clean

maybe five or six or seven at the maximum on

Each list because I think that I think you have to sort of crunch stuff down

So what what we'll start doing is diving into some of the pages. I think it's best to start with personal

so what I've done is that actually

Recreating the goals page entirely I did this because I start the goals page maybe

Three months ago and what I wanted to do is have a more fine-tuned one

I noticed that my goals page was sort of all over the place. I had lots of different

I had a goals area at the targets area

and what I want is is simplify it and I believe I have so what I've done here is

I've got the next three months really so I've got a table. Sorry a

Board in line that has what's next and it has my next two months in this case

it's got five goals find specific goals that I'm working on and

in for the next month as well, and they're also tagged with the

Correlation to what it is about. So for example, 10,000 monthly unique visits would be for the website

Freelancing to secure to new content clients is in yellow. So it's a nice indication

It's very colorful easy to follow and I can go in and actually check them off as well

So once I click into these for example, this one I can actually click on whether they have been successful or not

Which is a nice new indicator that I've had so I can almost tick things off as I go

So up in the top right hand corner

I used to have this like what is coming up like and it was a massive list of the yearly

Events and activities that was going to now it's really just honed down

into

Like vacation time Christmas all the major events I'd say

And I've got one more bullet. So I'd say I wouldn't push that past five because then it will ruin this down here

This is a simple list and it's basically got I don't know whether you can see this, but I don't want Blair on up

is all of my goals for the next year and it will give me

a tag and a date that I want to complete actually the date I created on and I've simply gone to the property section and

Put tags on and created I should probably remove create and you can see here that I've assigned them to myself

So this is a list of all the targets that I'd like to reach in 2019. So fingers crossed

You know

that's something that

I could aim towards but I come onto this page when I'm doing my weekly review and I really like it because I've got

my goals or my immediate goals to my left

I've got what's coming up on my right and I've got what should I be aiming for in 2019?

So hopefully that gives you a little bit of inspiration for your own

Setups and goals so down just below it. I've got house house is dedicated

To giving a tally of our finances and where we're aiming towards for the house

Naturally, I can't show this but we're on the right track, and it's also got inside it a car

So that's a bit about the car financing and also estimates of certain things

I'll click into estimates estimates of what the house mortgage will be compared to our current mortgage, etc

all very boring stuff

I promise you but there's a nice area

That I can start working on when I'm thinking about the house and I can start tallying all that information

Again, it doesn't include any PDFs or anything. Like that's really just purely

Almost like a notepad for me just to write down

My thoughts and ideas and plan a little bit for the house now just below it

I've been using the travel a little more than often now

I used I remember I mentioned this one in a video I used it for in Barcelona

I had quite lovely sort of sheduled had some my documents here in PDF format and

A bit of an itinerary there worked really. Well. We also did this one for bath? I think I mentioned it

We Amir beckon went away to bar for the weekend

It was lovely

and I managed to get this and have this as almost my tin reef or the weekend to make sure I knew where all the

Information was now next year. We're off to Italy as a family

So I'd certainly use that for that and that's especially I'm finding that especially

valuable I can't show you within it because there's information there, but

Within it. We actually have a payment sheet

So that everyone is actually updated with what they need to pay and where actually I haven't actually assigned it to anyone

But I've just got tags to nudge people for example, so you can see here. This is one for the slack event

I pulled this together. It's just got some train times

So this is just an image imported and screenshot of this London Underground as well as important documents

And I'm tending to do this for every little trip

I do and also an idea of when I'll be going to San Francisco getting a bit of information are at the pricing

So these almost act as bookmarks

Before so I can plan ahead for my trip adding all of the valuable

Pricing and you know, how much should I budget for etc? So it's quite useful

So this is the savings area. I have been using this one quite regularly actually, so I've been using it probably since

August although I did a refresh of this one and it's a month by month outline

So it's a simple table soon see a table view here. It's also got tags of what the theme is for that month

So for example in September

it was a slow month because I was finishing off paying tax and what I mean we're slow month is I

Needed to save as much as I could and and I wasn't you know

I was paying off so much tax that I just needed to make sure to you know

Cover all the regular stuff and I said the end of month sort of outlined there now was I successful?

I take this one off because I was because I met all of goals

so the goals are really simple I go inside and I basically have all of my Ledger's and what I mean by Ledger's is

Just what I've got in each account and it helps me to

Line what I'm going to be aiming for at the end of the month and what I need to almost transfer

So that's a little bit of an outline of that. I don't use a table or anything like that

It's just a really simple one. You can see here the theme sort of changed

So I've got like rebuild so rebuild from paying so much tax strengthen and January will hopefully be conquer

But he'll also hear what I've started to do is I put a quote here at the said save towards the house and future projects

We've keep productive and also coffee shops

So I have not been using this as much because I've been quite frugal, I guess with my coffee shop trips

Which is good

but I previously use this to go inside and tally how much I was spending on each trip and

Almost make myself feel bad and it actually worked so that I would spend a little less in each coffee shop now

I also got as well saved money

that was a few ideas of ways that I could save money almost like a checklist like

You know limit of 10 pound per day for the total like that's include lunch, you know

All the coffee shops know breakfast is you know, they're expensive, you know buying eat lunch at home

no, taxi travel not I did loads of it but and

No personal buys or audio buys

So I was that was just something to come back to if I wanted to and also got Christmas present ideas

I will blur this out. But in case ahead of my family are watching I got started

with adding a few ideas here and links and images but

Christmas presents idea was a good one because I can start tallying all that and naturally I probably archive that

Once I and I don't know how I would archive not necessarily. I don't know what I would just delete it or

Repurpose it for next year. So I've also got our upcoming payments, which is me and backers

Just things turned out what we've got coming up in terms of you know

If we've got to pay for the flight to Italy we got to pay for for like to sign press, you know

things like that that are just gonna be coming up and then I've got a new one that I actually

Added last week and I'm gonna blow her few things out because I did and card numbers only two

They're unnecessary cards

but what I did is I was walking home the other day and I sort of felt my pockets and I was like

Oh my god, I forgot my wallet in that in that store. And then I

Realized that it was actually in my coat pocket

So I was like, oh thank God I'm not but then I was like what if I actually forget my wallet

So I decided to go into notion and create a short checklist of all of the things that are in my wallet

This is basically like a short list of everything in the wallet. The goal is is so that I can

Where if I ever lose my wallet I can just go into here and go, okay

I need to reorder my driving license. I need to

Reissue my Visa Debit. I need to get a new co-op card

Nando's card, you know Club Card Tesco

you know all that sort of stuff and it's actually a nice little smart for me to I guess like

recap on what I actually had in my wallet because like I said

I guess sometimes you don't really have like an idea of everything you have in your wallet

Maybe at least for me cuz I've got really short-term memory of what I need to have in my wallet

So down here

I've also got in the personal section an f-1 podcast, which I'm hopefully to be starting with a friend in February next year

So I've sort of outlined there content calendar things to do

I actually did that one and it's almost like a mini checklist of items. So that's like a really simple one

So if that's something that you were thinking of doing and the next one is driving

The final element of my personal section is driving

So I've got a major list of things to improve on clutch control first gears definitely still something

I need to master taking foot off clutch slowly I've started to do that bit better

But I'm not confident on taking it off yet

But I ticked off already checking before taking off and slowing down and finding a spot actually doing fairly

Well at that one and I've got a link to some

Questions from govern you Kay but down here

This is where the magic is for me is I've been using this since October

Although I used to do on like paper just in my drawer because I have my theory book in my drawer

But it was easy to do it that way, but this has actually been a lot better

So what I do is I tally the Dayna hammered last num I write down the issue

so the issue in this case was changing from second to third here and

What I need to do to improve by and what I do before each session

Or at least a week in advance is I sit down and I go okay

What did I suck out last week and I go okay turning into corners and I'll do some research on it

Or I'll watch some YouTube videos about so that's my sort of approach to driving. I'm still driving

I'm still practicing and learning anyway, so I've got plenty of time to sort of catch up

So let's move out to the freelance area the freelance area. I have an area called business

I don't use it at the moment same with operations and passive. My magic is mainly in client

I'm still working out these couple of ones because they're more planning stage at the moment but clients so clients

I currently use for tracking all of the workload I have on I manage clients as well as

Sponsors here. So that's how it all works now

I'll have a list of my current clients as well as the payments that are coming up

I'll also have what contractors I'm working with what tax I'm paying and also

Just an outline checklist of what I need to do with each client now, it's a board

It's a simple board and I move it between each one. So this is an active project

This is ongoing this is ending and this is finished

So it gives me an outline of the clients that I've worked with over the last couple of months

I've also got some potential clients. I'd like to work with in the in between and

Sponsors as well that I'm working with on the channel. So that's a

Nice board there because I can go in and organize all of that layout now down here

I've also got a payment log of on one particular client

I've got a shortlisted clients who I'd like to work with basically a hot list and also sponsorship of the top 20

I'd like to work with this battle. So the clients area is a really important area of me as I mention

I can't show you as much as I would like to

Naturally, but it's actually a really beneficial area and I want a few videos that have already done if you're super eager to learn about

that

Ones that are probably more or less blurred out than that one

So finally over here. I've got YouTube

so YouTube's a

stunning become sort of 5050 sign of stuff in terms of creating and I call it just YouTube because it's really like

Creating content for you guys. So I've got a projects area

This houses the majority of the content or set up

For example, I have a creating area here which is lists cover

So I want to cover like top, you know - time tracking ones actually was not fully created. I'll show you a fully created one

Ideas for you know, whether I want to do twitch dreams

You know projects that I want to work on and at the moment I'm using it as a temporary scripts area

Handbook webinar deals all the sort of stuff that you would expect with a YouTube channel. I've also got community

so this is for you guys talking about the collapse the codes that I can give away and

some of the Facebook groups out of stuff and also forts like things and I want to do for the long term and also Danny

I've got some nice feedback from you guys. So that's a really nice one

So that's a area that is working and growing and naturally

Developing so I'm really sort of just using that to tally up things

But if I were to go over to the Skillshare area, you'll see some of the skill show classes that I've got coming up

I've got a marketing checklist and an upcoming so you can see I've got some upcoming classes here then I'm planning

Although I'm not fully sure

I'm going to be doing them and these film dates are really whacked out but they are sort of in line for

What I'll be working on that so you click done on that one

So as you can imagine it's a nice place for me to plan for the website

I think I've talked about this before we mention it quite a lot

We use this as our editorial

calendar so you can go and see all of the articles that we're currently working on and also

a little bit about that Google rank two

Now at the bottom of this I started to do a medium

Schedule of some pieces that I want to write I wrote these two

I know that and I'm going to continue to use this as I go to tally all the pieces

Now going back to the home page

we use this for the podcast and for

future vlogs that might be coming out but down here I have a books area a books area is

All of the reading I'm doing a moment

So the messy middle I'm reading in a moment still reading twenty first twenty one rules into 21st century and any ideas that people send

Me on social media. I will tend to put them here

Although I just need to actually add a lot more in now down here

I am yet to add to this area, but I've got three areas here I've got

Kaizen which is something that I said Japanese

technique that of self improvement that I'd like to learn more about so I'm going to use this is almost like a

scrapbook for learning about Kaiser

Survival as well. I'd like to learn about how to plant plants. I know it sounds weird or like grow plants because I guess

That's something that would be quite cool to learn especially and I guess I shouldn't title whoops survivor

I should title that garden or something, but when I get a garden house, I would like to start planting and grow in my own

Little bits of food, like runner beans and things like that. So I'm using this as a scrapbook area and finally

Ways to be more minimal I'm using this as a scrapbook area, too

So again, it's something that I'm probably just gonna be expanding over time. Now. I've also got some checklists here

So I've got men's style which I haven't yet to add to it

Again, I want to start adding a few designs that I would like to wear because I'm all for it men's fashion

This is visits visits. I'm starting to add a little bit of tally on things for me and Becker to do

So that we can get out a little more at the weekend. I've got other as well

others just an area where I dump a few things like

For example other could be marriage name-change

We've started working on like the marriage name change you're taking bloody ages

We've actually done the passport now though so I can check that one off. Okay, we've done the passport and

let everyone know about

You know the marriage name change

So it's quite a nice area for doing that and checking all of that off

Now over here work out is an area that I've been growing quite rapidly

so I've removed the calendar that's now there so I have daily food which is

Occasional few ideas of what I could do with my food. I need to actually get rid of this

Because that's unnecessary anymore, but if I I've got to know Terry as well, let's get rid of that because that's really messy

You can see here. I've got so excited for example

These are my old Cypress goals of what I usually wanted to hit in terms of mileage while I was over there

Some boxing staff assessment information. So what was my last data? So let in May time

I was this much way and that hi and body mass was that

And the main sort of work is done in the workout subroutine

So here you can see these are all the workout menu that I've got in arrest day, and it's connected to my health dashboard

Which I'll go over in a moment now, we're down here. I've also got a few challenges

I'd like to do so 500 meter sprint row

What's the best time who can get and then I can benchmark that against six-month time six rep suited row

What I can actually get on the weights etc and same with a bench press so I'm really simple with my workout

I'm gonna steal a few from this new Adonis Creed trailer link down here

So I'm going to go over to the health - ball because that's gonna explain a little bit more about it

You can see here. It's available. Here. We are

I've only been using this for a couple of weeks now, but I'm they're really enjoying it

It's been over almost a full month of using it, but I really love it. It's actually a good practice

So for example, I'm gonna do one now. Today is Friday

So I'm gonna say I went to bed at 11:30 and I woke up at 5:30. So that's six hours

I did a little bit of meditation and I did a boxing workout and I'm gonna press add to relation here

Now what I also did is something I want to be able to add is I did an extra 500 meter row

Which is so small

But I want to add that as a small

So if I click Add to work out my new and then I click into it I can add

So for example that took me five minutes said that laid the max and it worked on sort of all areas

and if I go out

I'm gonna just go back in and add a

Icon

So I can add a row for them. But for now, that's fine

And you can see here that I've added two in one and it's tallied that up as a sum in the relation

so if you haven't yet know how I set up a relational database with this you can watch a separate video on this because it's

So much deeper than I thought so yesterday I can add my food rating

I named normally give myself a food rating for the day. Like how well did you do?

I'm gonna give myself a 7.5 because I had a fairly solid day and I did about

25 minutes of walking yesterday strangely and

I listened to about 10 minutes of

Audible so you can see here that I've done a total of 60 minutes workout as you can see

I lost all of the previous data for this so it's not something now. I've

Been able to add

But for example, I'll be able to add tonight the food walk and audible data. I've got that so hopefully

That gives you a bit of an idea of my health dashboard

So guys in total, this is mile out the final areas

I forgot to mention is Babbington me and honest and key Batali. I am absolutely

Sucking at vomit and Dan is winning

118 games we were playing it over a year in a bit and I'm only below 40

Which is absolutely shocking and we started Sally the last few games here

and also just kept route a tally of if I'm feeling like ill because

That's useful for if I get to doctors

Something Becca just advised me to do and also I got stocking list, which I need to sort into there

so temporarily I'll just dump it in the

Inbox, and that's what it looks like that that any guys hopefully that gave you a nice outline to notion if you are brand new

To notion and you're like wow, this is bloody awesome, and I want to be able to set something like this up

I've temporarily got a skill show course, you can actually go on and enjoy it's free with the link below

I've also got a free pdf and I will be working on a brand new

Notion course because I want to redevelop the existing one to be a bit more

Fine-tuned and really teach you all as the details of notion. So hopefully that gives you all of the insights

Anyway, guys, I really appreciate you stopping by today. I really love to hear your comments below

Was that useful for you?

Because I guess I'd love to hear whether this sort of layout and setups are useful for your own

Let me know in the comments. How would you lay stuff out?

And did you notice any things different to how I do it or?

Would you like to share a few tips with me?

All you just want to share your own out because I think the comments benefit everyone, so please do that

Anyway guys a real big. Thank you

There are some amazing people in that group. I

Refuse EO Olga who is a I believe she's a student actually posted in notion group

And it's absolutely fantastic her layout and a lot of people take an inspiration

It's got like over a hundred likes and people are loving it because they're really appreciating her

Take on notion and it's a lot different to mine. So that's what the benefit

2Minutes2Virtue: Get Ready 'Cause Here He Comes! - Duration: 2:06.

Hi my name is Father Tom Ferguson

I'm the Vicar General of the Diocese of Arlington

and the pastor of Good Shepherd Church in Alexandria

and welcome to 2Minutes2Virtue

This week we begin the season of Advent, our time of preparation

for the celebration of the birth of Jesus at Christmas

Each year during this holy season

we remember how for centuries the Jewish people waited for

the coming of the Messiah, the Savior

Jesus is that longed-for Savior

the Son of God, the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us

Advent is also a time when we remember that we are also waiting for the Second Coming of Jesus

We believe "Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again"

The Scriptures of the first Sunday of Advent recall this aspect of our waiting

for Jesus' second coming. Jesus tells us in the Gospel "Be vigilant at all times"

We embrace this call to be watchful not in fear but in joyful hope for the

prophet Jeremiah reminds us that the Lord will always fulfill the promises He

makes to His people

The virtues of the Advent season are joy, hope, peace and love

As we begin the season of Advent my challenge this week is this

Call to mind each day a reason to be joyful, a reason for hope, a time you have known peace and

a person you love and in this way you can be sure you will be ready when

Christ will come again

How to Make a Camouflage Cake - Duration: 5:39.

In this cake tutorial I'm sharing how to create a camouflage effect using

fondant and buttercream. Also included in this video is how to make soldiers using

modeling paste and some cool molds that you can get online. I'll link to that

below the video for you. Press together various sized balls of fondant until you

have formed a log shape. Roll it out to a thin layer. For a 6-inch cake you'll need

19 inches in length and four to five inches in height depending on your cake.

Now I chose black brown and green, but you can mix in beige or various shades

of these colors. Trim the sides and incorporate those pieces into the strip

by pressing with the roller. Lift the piece and quickly press that onto the

cake sides. You can then turn the top and the seam.

Now for the bottom tier, which will be buttercream. For this green add a good

amount of juniper, a touch of black, and moss green. Spread that on top and using

a grass tip #233 cover the entire top of the cake.

Mix some tylose powder into a piece of fondant. This will be used for the

lettering and a backdrop for the soldiers. Set it aside to activate the

tylose which will strengthen the fondant.

with the leftover pieces of the camo color you can create a free-form strip

of ribbon to tie in the bottom tier and the top tier.

This will be the backdrop on the top of the cake. You can create a rough edging

by pulling lightly on the edges. To give the backdrop a curve just place it onto

a pan that is the size of your cake. Let that dry at least 24 hours.

For the lettering I used simple cutters for this cake. This is an army themed cake and I

wanted basic letters not the usual whimsical or script. The number 10 is

made using tappits I have a tutorial on using tappits and I will link to it

below the video and at the end of the video for you.

Candy clay or chocolate modeling paste works beautifully for the soldiers.

Simply press it into the mold, scrape off as much excess as possible stick it into

the freezer for five minutes, and then remove it from the mold. To make a dog

tag use candy clay or gum paste. Stick the lettering on with a dab of water and

then trim it to size. Store it on the curve of the pan until it's ready for

the gold paint. Mix the gold powder with a small amount of almond extract and

then paint your pieces. Use a bit of fresh buttercream to glue it onto the

sides of your cake.

Use a mold to make a chain and then paint it gold as well. I use the Wilton

mold and I will put a link to that below underneath the video for you. The

soldiers also get painted with gold.

And finally the letters are placed using a dab of water. Be careful not to use too

much water though. Just a tiny little bit.

We made this cake via icing styles for a very special little boy. And here he is

🏁Are You Ready To Create Your Reset Button ? ★ #TheDay1Journey Ep. 56 ★ - Duration: 6:29.

yeah we're live are you ready to create your own reset button

let's do that just after the new amazing intro let's go

welcome to the day one journey episode 56 chi-ching yeah yeah did you like the

new intro the new amazing intro I know pretty impressive yeah let's go and dive

right into creating our own reset button let's go for walk are you ready

amazing remember that reset button the restart button is that button that you

can just press just in the middle of the day and create a new day a fresh new day

yeah just in the middle of the day are you excited about that a fresh start

just in the middle of the day day one day one then we have two day ones in

this same day amazing so let me share with you my personal experience creating

my own reset button so you can think how you can create your own

yeah based on your circumstances your routine your schedule etc etc so how do

I start press that reset button it may sound simple to you at the beginning I

go for a nap but the nap is not the main thing here I just lie down but if you

work in an office or something you can just close the door and just sit on

your chair close your eyes and this what I do I lie down close my eyes and I

reflect on the day I just reflect on the day this is what I'm doing I'm thinking

what I did from the morning till now usually the middle of the day and I ask

myself what I can do just after I wake up from the nap or

just after I open my eyes what I can do in the rest of the day to win the day

this what I'm asking myself and I'm not judging myself if I didn't do the things

I thought about doing at the beginning of the day because things might change

you know during the day things might change so I don't judge myself I look at

the middle of the day I'm in the middle of the day going for

that nap or that reflection point in time and I'm thinking okay I'm here I

had all these things in the morning and what I can do in the rest of the day to

win the day how can I make that day an amazing day with using the specific

hours I have for the rest of the day this what I'm asking myself and I give

myself these few minutes lie down think about what I can do so this is the key

part of that the key part of that this is how I reset my mind I recent my mind

thinking about what I did and what I want to do in the next half a day that I that

I have then let's do it pretty quickly because we are out of time I'll do it

pretty quickly then I reset my body how I do that I do a cold shower and

ice shower we already talked about that in episode 40 but right now I do that to..

back then we did that for self-discipline practice our self discipline over every morning

right now I'm doing the cold shower I do that to to reset my body

you see when you

take the cold shower it's so cold you are like

like that you cannot think about anything else you really reset your body

you really reset your immune system you can read about that and search about

that on YouTube as well but this what I do just after the cold shower what do I

do chi-ching I do breathing exercises

similarly to what I do in the morning and then I'm doing meditation check out

episodes I think 42 43 for why we do meditations every day but this how

I reset myself every day this is the button so back to you you can think

about how you can create your own reset button

because you have your own schedule

your own routine so you can do just sit back on your chair close your eyes and

reflect on the day maybe you're at home so you can do a cold shower etc etc so

let me make it simple for you till tomorrow let me make it simple for you

till tomorrow what can you do till tomorrow just in the middle of the day

even like everything is so stressed you can take 2-3 minutes just 2-3

minutes put the phone away all the notifications away nothing bad will

happen I think 2-3 minutes lay back on your chair close your eyes

and just reflect on the day ask yourself what did I want to do today what did I

accomplish doing this morning and what can I do the next half a day that I have

to win the day make it easy for you to win today ah so important then wake up

or just open your eyes and win the day do that today just in the middle of the

day try to practice practice pressing and creating this reset button so do

that until tomorrow and tomorrow as you know we're meeting here again

for the day one journey so until tomrrow have an amazing amazing day one

How To Drink Like A Gentleman - Duration: 8:26.

Welcome back to the Gentleman'sGazette!

In today's video, we discuss how to drink and how not to drink like a gentleman.

Drinking, and by that, I mean alcoholic beverages, can be a pleasure,

a social expectation or tricky at times because it may damage your reputation.

For example, the office holiday party almost always produces some gossip because some people

to drink too much.

The same goes for weddings or business dinners, you do not want to be the guy that ruins the

evening for everyone or be responsible for not closing the deal.

So here's the thing, ideally, a gentleman never gets drunk because a gentleman should

never lose control of his faculties.

Now, that is easier said than done and I certainly have been drunk before.

In particular, there was one instance where I was about 18 or 19 years old, it was at

a party and I drank a lot, I passed out and I could not remember a thing anymore.

But when I talked to my friend the next morning, he told me that I had puked on his leg.

I have never been as embarrassed before and I never had as much to drink thereafter.

So even if you are not wasted, being intoxicated always has an impact on how you behave and

how you are perceived.

The truth is, we are never at our best behavior when intoxicated and the potential of long-term

regret outweighs the pleasure of one night on the town, To top it all off, everyone has

a smartphone these days and they take photos and videos and they may end up getting to

your employer, your mom, or to that uncle who had you in his will.

So the main goal of drinking like a gentleman is to enjoy yourselves while still being civil

and in full control of yourself.

That being said, here are 8 practical tips that you can apply when you go out and drink.

Most importantly, know your limit.

Everyone has different reactions to the amount of alcohol they drink and it is up to you

to know what is acceptable and what is too much.

For you, that may mean one drink an hour, maybe you can do more, maybe you can do less.

Maybe you will always have to eat something before you drink or maybe you abstain completely.

Two, stick with the classics.

Most bartenders will be able to mix up a gin and tonic o an old-fashioned.

Moreover, keep in mind, a gentleman drinks his beverage from a cup or a glass, not from

the can or the bottle.

Personally, my drink of choice is a Manhattan which usually consists of a rye whiskey with

some vermouth, some bitters, maybe a maraschino cherry and a little bit of an orange peel

or grapefruit peel.

I love this go-to drink because I had it many times before, I know how strong it is, I know

how to pace myself.

Generally, most whiskeys have about the same strength unless they are cask strength and

because of that, it is best to always order your specific whiskey.

I like to have a Manhattan on the rocks with crown royal rye whisky.

Now, if the bartender does not have that whisky, ask them what they have and you may come up

with something, that is okay.

Or you go with something that is very widely available like a bulleit rye or maybe a woodford

reserve or maker's mark.

Of course, you can also go ahead and order a blue Hawaiian, Pina Colada, or a strawberry

daiquiri.

The problem is, with those drinks, they contain a lot of sugar.

Also, the recipes are different so the amount of liquor in them can vary considerably.

On top of that, most people don't associate a pina colada with a gentleman.

That being said, if you are confident and secure you can drink whatever you want, you

don't have to care about what other people think of you.

Let's say you're at the bar and you fancy one of their craft cocktails, go ahead and

order it but then stick with a known entity thereafter.

Let's say you are at a sports bar at a baseball game, it is not the time to order a French

75.

Instead, you go with the flow and order a beer.

Likewise, if you are at a fine establishment, it is not the time to order Milwaukee's best

beer or bud light.

Four, pace yourself.

You are under no obligation to keep up with how much other people are drinking.

Ideally, you can establish your own pace and one of the best ways to fend off questions

for another drink is to simply have your glass half full.

If you don't want to drink at all, that is totally fine.

You may be on a prescription medication, you don't drink for religious reasons, or you

just don't feel like it today.

If you still do not want to explain yourself all the time while you are not drinking, ideally,

just order a lime and soda with some ice ideally in a high ball, that way, it looks like a

gin and tonic and nobody will bug you.

Five, be immune to peer pressure.

Honestly, that is one of the hardest things for most men.

Most people love to drink and enjoy doing so in company and that may mean that they

will bug you consistently and you just have to be firm and say no multiple times if necessary.

There is no need to explain yourself, you can just say "NO, thanks, I've had enough

for tonight.".

Simply repeat if required.

Six, do not push drinks on other people.

You may be really into paying this round of tequila shots but not everyone might be into

that.

It's fine to offer someone else a drink but if they say no, accept it for what it is,

do not tease them, do not ask them again, or make fun of them.

Seven, always treat the restaurant or bar staff with respect.

I know that can be hard if you have been waiting in line for twenty minutes and you feel someone

else has cut in line and gotten served ahead of you.

Keep your composure, wait for the bartender, try to seek eye contact but do not wave with

your money, don't snap with your fingers because that is just rude and impolite.

Of course, you should also tip well in line with the social norms in the place you are

at.

In the US, for example, it is typical to tip 15-20%.

In Germany, for example, it is not expected.

Last but not the least, keep your hands to yourself.

Drinking will usually relax even the most guarded person's view on interpersonal space

but getting too close to someone or even touch them is a clear indicator that you have had

way too much to drink.

Also a bonus tip, if you go to a bar to have a drink, don't sneak in your flask and drink

from it.

If you want to learn more, when is an appropriate occasion to use your flask, as well as flask

etiquette, and what not to do, please check out this video here.

Also, if you are at a whisky, wine, or beer tasting, things are a little different.

To learn more about the proper procedure and how to behave, please check out this whisky

tasting guide here.

In conclusion, drinking like a gentleman means you should not behave in a way that makes

you a pain in the ass to others around you.

Very simple, isn't it?

In today's video, I am wearing an outfit I would typically wear when I go to a nice bar.

It consists of a jacket which is petrol blue and double breasted which is part of a suit

and it is a nice fresco wool combined with a blue and white shirt and a brown grenadine

tie.

Because the jacket is somewhat loud, I toned down the other colors.

That includes a boutonniere that is contrasting but not overly loud as well as a pocket square

made out of a handcrafted linen in Xstitch and it picks up the color of the shirt.

my pants are black and off-white houndstooth that are combined with a pair of shadow striped

socks from Fort Belvedere that picks up the same colors.

My penny loafers are dark brown and contrasting yet harmonious at the bottom end of my outfit

and they coordinate with my dark brown grenadine tie which you can find in our shop here just

like all of our other accessories from Fort Belvedere.

Of course, I also keep on my wedding band and I also wear a pinky ring with a bloodstone.

Evasive Steering Assist & Pre-Collision Assist With Automatic Emergency Braking | Ford How-To | Ford - Duration: 1:13.

[MUSIC]

Did you know that your Ford vehicle may be equipped with Evasive Steering Assist?

Which can help you avoid potential frontal collisions when steering may be necessary.

Let me tell you about it.

Evasive Steering Assist works in conjunction with the Pre-Collision Assist

with automatic emergency braking system.

Which uses a forward-facing camera and radar to constantly monitor driving

conditions, and can alert you of potential risks to help you avoid them.

In a situation where your vehicle is rapidly approaching another vehicle

from behind, this system automatically calculates the risk of a collision

based on speed and distance.

First, you'll receive an audible warning and

a visual alert on your information display.

Then if no action is taken,

the system will begin to apply the appropriate amount of brake force needed.

If a collision is unavoidable by braking alone,

you can activate the system by initiating an evasive maneuver.

It can then provide the appropriate amount of steering torque needed

to help you avoid the vehicle in front of you.

Any questions, go to Owner.Ford.com.

6 Things About Leslie Grace You Should Know! | Billboard - Duration: 2:29.

- Hey guys, you're watching Billboard,

and you should know me, Leslie Grace.

I was born in The Bronx,

and raised in Yonkers

'til I was 10.

I moved to Florida, South Florida,

to a town named Davie,

and I was raised there for the rest of my life.

I still there now with my parents,

a lot of people don't know that.

My first job was washing hair at my mom's salon,

and it's still my job sometimes. (laughs)

When she needs help, no,

I would always say, "Ma, can I be your assistant?"

So, I started as her assistant sweeping hair.

And then eventually, I started rackin' up some tips

in the Leslie Lather Lounge washin' everybody's hair,

singin' while I was washin' everybody's hair.

And that was my job for a good couple years

in my mom's salon when we moved to Florida.

My guilty pleasure that I'm never guilty about,

but should be a guilty pleasure, is Häagen-dazs ice-cream.

If I went lactose intolerant at any point in my life,

I don't know, I don't know what I would do with myself.

It wouldn't be good (laughs),

everybody here is laughing 'cause they know it's true.

It's like a serious necessity to have ice cream.

I think one of the most important places

that I've performed music was my household

because that's where the dream began, in my living room.

And I mean, not just like singing, like regular.

But my mom from then, from when I was six,

would have me like change my outfit,

and do Shakira impersonations, and all the rest,

they would support me and all of that so, it was cool.

I have very very wide range

of musical inspirations because

I'm a mix of different cultures,

and my upbringing was wild.

I grew up listening to lotsa r&b,

Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Brian Mcknight,

Maxwell, India Arie, and then tropical music.

Lots of salsa too, Marc Anthony.

A lot of big women,

Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Selena Quintanilla.

Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Selena Quintanilla.

What song should people listen to first

if they wanna get into my music?

That's a hard question because I've evolved so much,

and I'm proud of everything that I've put out.

So, I can't say that one song

embodies everything that I am.

embodies everything that I am.

But, I would say just start from the beginning.

I'd say start from Will You Still Love Me, and go on,

and go all the way through 'til Duro Y Suave,

and you'll see the whole evolution. (laughs)

("Duro Y Suave" by Leslie Grace, Noriel)

CHA YEN - REFRESHING THAI ICED TEA (ชาเย็น) - WITH NIN - Duration: 4:59.

Sawadi Ka everyone, Monday, new recipe !

No food today, but a drink, requested by Robert

You too, if there is something you would like me to cook,

Tell me in the comments down below

I already have a short list of recipes you asked for

Pla Nueng Ma Nao and Chor Muang

So today, I am showing you how to prepare the very famous Thai iced tea or Sha yen

Are you ready ? Let's go !

Spoon or bar spoon if you have

Jar

Drinking glass

This is evaporate milk that I will use

By the way I'm not sure that I say the correct word or not

If you guys know, can you please tell me in the comments ?

Tea strainer

Condensed milk Thai tea and Ice

There is many brands of Thai tea but this is the one I have always used

Boil water

Before pouring hot water in your jar, you have to put tea in your strainer

I personally prefer strong tea, that's why I use 3 table spoon of tea

But if you don't like it strong, you can use only 2 table spoon

For the water as well, if you prefer strong tea let it infuse for 4 minutes

But if you don't like it too strong, infuse it just for 2 minutes

Time's up ! 4 minutes gone. Let's mix milk in the tea

Condensed milk first

Evaporate milk

Last step : add evaporate milk on top

And voila, enjoy the drink !

Also to mention that there is 2 versions of Thai tea Iced or hot

The recipe is almost the same The only difference is that for hot tea,

instead of using a strainer, you use a tea bag

that you put in hot water Same as for regular tea actually

Don't forget to subscribe And push the bell to receive a notification

How To Overcome Depression As A Christian - Duration: 13:11.

Okay, today we are talking about how to overcome depression as a Christian. How

is it we can do some amazing and sometimes unexplainable things like heal

our own bodies by the power of our thought mother's intuition the law of

attraction can we really tap into our subconscious

mind can we really create our own realities it begs the question are we

novice gods

ok today we're talking about how to overcome depression as a Christian

really this works with any belief system that you have or if you don't believe in

anything this will work with all of those this documentary series is about

you know are we novice gods do we have divine DNA with us do we are we children

of God and if we are that means that we have creative abilities creation

abilities within us that we can tap into and we're going to talk a little bit

about how you can use those beliefs and those talents of those abilities to and

unlock those to really enjoy a wonderful life and if you've got depression

hopefully this will help you out with what you're looking to get now I chose

this location for a reason I mean it looks pretty dead behind me right you

got all these dead leaves you got these twigs that are sticking up I mean it

looks horrible if you were to see this place in the summertime oh this is

gorgeous yeah it's just you have this canopy of these big enormous trees with

all the beautiful leaves that come down here now the only difference between now

and you know the springtime in the summer time is the season and then you

know it kind of turns into what we focus on right we just focus on the ugliness

here but yet when everything's going right we have just this abundance of

beauty and nature that just is so reassuring

but I picked this because if you are depressed this is kind of how life looks

all the time and I know this because I was well I was in your shoes I was in

your shoes but I wasn't in their shoes actually I want before we start I gotta

just explain one thing if you have depression I want you to seek medical

attention if you have actual true depression

don't be embarrassed about it it is a real thing it is a medical condition and

there are wonderful wonderful resources available for you to get out of that

depression so very first seek medical attention don't be afraid there aren't

those stigmas that they used to have and now it is very

accepted that you know we understand it is a real true medical condition now

with that I want to say that there are other options too and the other option

is that along with medical attention along with you know the therapies that

they will give and the medications that they will give I believe that you can

take matters into your own hands as far as changing your belief system as

changing as far as changing your patterns of activity that by doing these

things you will become more in charge of your life you can get out of that victim

mindset and by getting out of the victim mindset and becoming who you truly are a

creator of your world a creator of your reality a creator of abundance around

you as you get into that space you will gain more confidence and as you gain

more confidence you will be able to get rid of a lot of that depression that you

have so again seek medical attention after you do that or along with that

make sure that you also do some things deliberately intentionally and we'll go

over we'll go over four steps that you can do to really get focused on living

intentionally and being in charge of your life and I got these because for

years and years I wasn't depressed but I was discouraged and it was a weighty

discouragement and it overtook my life and because of the things that I've

experienced I have found that there are just some wonderful wonderful things and

any well sure I'll share some of that with you and you know I'm the creator of

the feed your happy app I'm I wrote a book called the seven core skills of

everyday happiness I learned a little bit about the darkness and then I'm

happy to share how to get to the light but right now let's talk about these

four steps ok these four steps that will help you overcome depression as it as a

Christian so the first step is that you need to change your identity and I don't

mean change your identity as a Christian no keep that keep everything good about

yourself but a lot of times you will identify with I'm a failure or I'm a

slob or I'm lazy or I'm fat or I'm a loser or

you know you'll come up with all of these things or I'm not good enough or

I'm not smart enough or I'm not eloquent enough or you know all of these things

these are identities and we hold on to these things because we identify with

them and then as we identify with them we actually end up creating more of that

in our lives so we end up spiraling down I mean you start out somewhat depressed

and you get just even worse and worse and worse as you focus on these stories

that we tell about ourselves and this identity that we have taken on so any

identity that you have that is negative I want you to take it and I want you to

put it to the side first of all I want you to start with this identity that you

are a child of God and that as such you must therefore have some divine DNA

within you you must have the ability to create things well let's start to use

that and we'll start to use that as we as we look as a as a as we look at our

an identity you know and what can you say about yourself

I am confident okay even if you believe that you are totally not confident or

that's you're shy or that you're introverted or you have these negative

identities you can shift that because I bet you can find at least one instance

in your life where you can say yeah I was brave there I was courageous and as

you focus on that and really hone into that and say that is my identity I am

that person as you do that as you grow that identity that identity is going to

be it will help you change all of the other things in your life because that

is so positive it is so constructive it is so powerful and so are you now I want

to explain this with a story so years ago I was sent on a filming expedition

to Mongolia have you ever been in Mongolia and it was an amazing thing

okay now imagine put yourself in my shoes you know imagine if you were sent

there and you were sent to film this was the assignment you are sent to film

these doctors that were restoring sight to the blind

does not open your mind for possibilities of what you can film I

mean can you imagine filming people as they have this surgery on their eyes and

suddenly they can see again and just and seeing the excitement in their lives as

they can read stuff on the wall behind them as they can identify family members

that they haven't seen for a long time that they have this joy of having life

restored to them that's what I imagine and I imagine that these doctors these

American doctors had some sort of I don't know they some sort of new

technology that was so new that they couldn't get FDA approval on at first

but they wanted to help people out so they were going across the world and

they were working with these disadvantaged people and helping them

out and well you know what when I got there I found out that that wasn't the

case at all the amazing stuff did happen people did suddenly be able to see they

could see family members they could read writing behind on the wall they could

see pictures they could see leaves and trees and it was wonderful but the way

they got there was so simple see they had cataracts and the American doctors

were coming there to do cataract removal surgery and the people hadn't had no

idea that these cataracts had built up over their eyes to where everything

started to get blurry and blurry and clouded and more and more until finally

they became blind but they didn't know they didn't have to live that way that's

how you and I get psychologically spiritually we get these cataracts on

our eyes on our minds where we don't see things clearly anymore we don't see what

our true identity is and we take on these other identities that are not

serving us well these identities that we're failures or fat or slobs or

whatever negative thing you may have put into your life but as you remove these

cataracts and in cataract removal surgery is so simple in America you know

you get it done like you're getting your teeth done you you go in you get out

boom you're done that's kind of what you can do with mental cataract removal

surgery change your identity and reclaim your power so actually step number two

is to reclaim your power you are a creator you have the ability

to create amazing things in your life today I want you to start with happiness

now I've created a lot of resources that I am happy to share with you I have

created the feature happy app I think you can find all this stuff in the show

notes below I've also got a book that can help you there are other resources

other people have created as you recognize that happiness is actually a

skill and as you get good at these skills you will find that you can

reclaim your power you can create happiness on demand in any situation and

wherever you find yourself it is amazing once you start to get that creator power

back within you you realize that you can do these things and suddenly that

depression that's had you buy the but suddenly you're gonna be able to get

free from that you're gonna be able to say no I am in charge of my life I am

the creator and you're gonna be able to not be the victim that you've probably

been for so long now step number three is I want you to be able to make

consistent progress in something that's meaningful to you Harvard how it's

called the Harvard progress principle for 15 years they studied the happiest

and most successful people out there and what they found was that they made

consistent progress in meaningful work and what that means is whatever is

meaningful to you you get to choose what that is but if you make consistent

regular progress now again I have a resource for you if you want that and if

it's still available look in the show notes I have a free planner it's called

align the align purpose pad I'm giving away and it helps you have a morning

routine so that you can get in alignment with who you truly are who you want to

be and you will have that power to get out of the muck that's holding you down

I hope that makes sense to you but really reclaiming your power comes when

you make this daily progress it doesn't have to be big it can be small

incremental progress but it's progress you're moving in the direction of your

goals you're moving with intention the way that you would like to go you are no

longer floating along you're no longer drift

you are the captain of your soul now the last thing that I want you to do is I

want you to keep your commitment step number four to get rid of depression is

to keep your commitments and keep the commitments you make to yourself and the

commitments you made to make to God now if you commit to yourself that and I

would suggest you do that you don't go to bed at night until you have written

three fortunate things that have happened to you you do that if you get

in that habit of recognizing the good that is around you you will be able to

be more powerful you will realize that you are the recipient of deliberate

kindness and you will realize that you can get out of that victim mindset that

you have control of your life because there's a lot of good going on in your

life so if you're looking for how to overcome depression as a Christian or a

Buddhist or a Jew or a non-believer or whatever you would classify yourself I

hope that you can follow some of those steps I hope that you can see that you

have divine DNA within you are a God in training you have creative powers right

Should You Trust Reviews of Days Gone? // MrStainless001 - Duration: 2:59.

Hey everyone Sam here also known as MrStainless and today we're back talking about Days

Gone, the post-apocalyptic open-world game coming from Sony Bend Studio and I want to

explain why you shouldn't necessarily judge the game based on it's reviews.

Now, before we get into this, a bit of clarification, if you're watching this video in February

2019 you can more or less ignore this, press copies will be in the hands of gaming journalists

and they'll have access to the entire experience.

For those of you, like me, who have been following this game for a while and have been reading

press impressions of the game from E3, TES, Gamescom etc, this video is for you.

Reading reviews of Days Gone so far and journalistic impressions from the demo's that they've

got to play at E3 there seems to be a common theme, the game is scary, it looks great,

but it's not engaging.

Reading these reviews time and time again it would lead us to believe that this is going

to be a lacklustre title that, sure, looks good but that will feel like an absolute drag

to get through.

One thing that a lot of these reviewers don't tell you in their write-ups is that what they're

playing, the experience they're getting is a all happening within the first hour of

the game's story.

Nothing that the press have had their hands on so far happens outside the first hour/

hour and a half of gameplay and that has been confirmed by the dev team as they gave Game

Informer a massive look at the game a few months back.

I think this is incredibly important to remember when you form your opinion of the game from

gameplay videos that are out there at the moment and from written articles about the

game, we're only seeing a demo, we're only seeing a small glimpse at what will be

a much larger 30+ hour experience.

The experience they're getting, arguably, could be the same as sitting down with a multiplayer

shooter, playing one match and having to judge your opinion based on that.

It's not the fault of the gaming press, after all that's all they've been given

access to but I think it's important to keep that in mind that what they've had

their hands on isn't the complete experience and is equally a work in progress.

I mentioned in a previous video though that I think what we can take from these articles

coming from the gaming press is that Days Gone may take a while to really get out the

gate so to speak, it may mean that the opening hour's narrative doesn't immediately grip

us, and yeah that could be an issue but if you're interested in this game and you're

looking at articles and they seem to be overly negative towards the game, remember, they

haven't seen anything outside the first hour of gameplay, if you want to get a better

understanding of how good this game will be, wait until closer to release.

In the meantime though I'm going to be bringing you a number of little bitesize videos on

this game over the next few weeks to keep you all up to date with the coming apocalypse

from looking at the weapons we'll have in the game to why you shouldn't shoot freakers

in the head so if you want to be kept notified of when those videos go live then hit the

subscribe button down below but until next time have a great week and I'll speak to

you all soon.
