Today, you will learn about end sentences with -잖아(요)

This is a very common ending in conversational Korean

Try to use it when you talk in Korean with your Korean friends after you learned about it in this lesson

Let's get started!

-잖아(요) is used when you are talking to somebody who already knows (or should already know) the fact that you are stating,

and you are asserting to this person that he/she knows (or should know) this fact

-잖아(요) can be attached to verbs, adjectives or -이다, -아니다 at the end of a sentence,

and you can use "-잖아" no matter if the end of verb/adjective is consonant or vowel

Let's look at the example

In this situation, because today is Saturday,

you know that there will probably be a lot of people at the amusement park on Saturday

And your friend should also know this,

so you can use -잖아(요) to indicate that this should be information that is already know

Let's look at other example

In this situation, because tomorrow is exam,

you know that you have to study for exam and your friend should also know this,

so you can use -잖아(요)

You can make sentences as

지금 비오잖아 You should know that it is raining now

돈이 없잖아 Don't forget that I don't have any money

우리 점심 먹었잖아 Don't forget that we had lunch

And a common word 맞잖아(요) is can make -잖아(요) attached to 맞다

You can make sentences with -잖아 from now on, right?

hi this is Beth with a little bit of Beth in today's part three on the

facilitating change series so part one we talked about labeling the change or

naming it being clear about it on part two we talked about measuring progress

it's not about how it feels it's about what's actually happening and now on

part three we're going to talk about the behaviors the attitudes and the skills

that are required to participate at this next level that we're heading into so

you've communicated to everybody that the organization is entering a new phase

right you've explained to them that change is coming and then we're going to

be doing things differently in some regards so that we can hit our goals and

we can be as effective as possible and now you are going to help them to

understand what behaviors you need to have brought to the table for people to

be successful operating in this new paradigm this is a great place to help

set expectations and to get people thinking a little bit differently about

how they may make decisions about how they spend their time prioritize

projects engage in healthy conflict have really tough conversations essentially

speak their truth yet with empathy and compassion and focus on the good of the

whole what are the leadership behaviors and attitudes and competencies that you

want to see brought to the table identify them let people know what they

are be crystal clear and when somebody gets promoted really be clear about why

they got promoted not only is it their technical skill but

also it's their emotional intelligence it's their soft skills it's their focus

it's the way that they allow drama and chaos to roll off them as they focus on

what is most important to get the organization to where it needs to be to

fulfill the goals make sure that you have a strategic plan and using that

strategic plan to help people to know how they contribute to the greater good

so critical so helpful and begin nurturing dialogue and prioritization in

alignment with that strategic plan this is the time it's within change that is

such a great time to get your staff to level up to get people to take notice

around what kinds of behaviors are required to be part of an organization

that's moving forward growing and aligning with how they most want to show

up in the world to do the work they need to do this is it this is the moment so

here ends this three-part series I wasn't sure how many parts it was going

to be in the beginning but it's three remember number one identify and be

clear about what is happening we are going to change changes required for

growth to be clear about how you're gonna measure progress and make

adjustments as you go through the change process and remember it's not about

feeling because people are gonna feel discomfort and in the discomfort they

may feel overwhelmed they may feel ineffective they may feel like they're

spinning in the crashing wave and sometimes they may feel like it's a

breath of fresh air so it's not about how we feel it's good to have

conversations and check in on that don't get me wrong we don't want to deny that

people are feeling discomfort but measuring

progress is about looking at our strategic plan our implementation plan

how are we doing what's getting in our way what issues do we need to deal with

us we move to change where do we need more resources where do we have too many

resources deployed and how do we have tough dialogue about that and then

number three is really being clear about what the behavior is the leadership

behaviors of management behaviors the team behaviors that you need to see for

people to be effective and really be part of the organization moving forward

be clear about that communicate that let people know okay so there's our three

HOW TO BAKE M&M COOKIES - VLOGMAS DAY 3 - Duration: 9:25.

good morning, it's days 3 of vlogmas welcome back welcome back it is a Sunday here

today and is now like 11 o'clock this morning we got up about 8:00 and we have,

we actually tried some new things for breakfast we have something called a new

shell which is like a dough a fried dough stick which we haven't had before

and we try it from a new place and it tasted really good and we also tried I'm

not entirely sure what it is called but it looks like a wrap with egg and this

it says sausage in it it was like a smoked sausage but like a Chinese

version of it and so I had that I think Hallam tried and some wonton soup that

it was a different type of one that we've had before so it was quite nice

actually I quite enjoyed it so that's what we had this morning we watched with

YouTube relaxed this morning and now we're just kind of working today it's

gonna pretty much be a bit of a working day and then I'm actually gonna be

making some cookies later I've just ordered some things for Walmart the

ingredients for it but yeah so I'm gonna make that later on today for my TA and

her team of TAS because the days are my school are awesome and they're just

amazing so I'm going to make some cakes them try that should be nice

so it's a hotter than the lifetime for filming which makes me quite yellow but

as you can see outside it's really kind of wet to gloomy day so you're joining

yesterday by the way so I'm my name's Katie we live in a place called Tianjin

in China and actually to be fair it like it never rains in Townsend

it rains like maybe once or twice in August and then that's about it it seems

to rain overnight here which is really unusual because it really doesn't seem

to happen that much so maybe we'll get some snow we'll see so we're gonna stop

and have some lunch now we actually ordered coffee earlier from a place

called lucky coffee which isn't being popular here and the coffee was good but

but we all of ZAP so they have like a ham and vegetable wrap and hey it's how

do you most at ease around so we're gonna have one of these each and see

what they're like and they also have a chocolate scone so I ordered myself a

chocolate as well cuz it's a Sunday so I forgot to mention my mum got me an

advocate and she sent it from being how a hotel chocolate one and I forgot to

open it yesterday so I'm gonna have number one now how cute the still Santa

so the day is kind of just like whizzed past it's now the evening and to be

honest it has a different it's a working day like I said I'm so sorry no this is

just days but they just have to have some times next weekend or actually this

week humming we have really busy week we're gonna go to Hard Rock Cafe I'm

going out for dinner my ta Jesse next weekend I'm hoping to go to afternoon

here as well so we have got a few like busy days coming up so this weekend was

really just been about making sure we get work done because it has just been

so busy so I did it has arrived and I thought I'd quickly show you it because

so this is our food here we actually order it from a place I think you

pronounce it zero zaboo there we go that place I'm not sure if that pay pronounce

it I believe it's a hotpot place but I believe it's Korean hotpot place and

this one is like a curry hotpot and like if you go in you get given a liquid and

you can boil it yourselves but this one is just a Hikari one and then this is

meant to be a tomato one so and this one like smells like Bolognese it smells

really good we haven't had this before so I'm looking for that and basically I

also have some rice here and some bacon in this one and you get some of this

like sachets of sauce and you put it in a bowl and it actually just tastes like

peanut butter this one and you put it in a bowl you have like some spring onions

and some coriander and here that you can kind of mix in there's also some chili

oil and some soy sauce and you can also buy like other seasoning as well if you

want some but we just like these ones and then you mix it in so you take this

out put it in the bowl mix it up and then eat it and it tastes amazing so the

game starts in like 20 minutes so I'm going to stop talking and eat this food

because I'm so hungry we're gonna sit down and watch a bit of

YouTube I'm gonna watch I'm a big fan of a woman called favor Fenwick and she has

a YouTube channel called it's a Fenwick life and my family cuz we were actually

looking at cruises and she's such a lovely wonderful person and she is so

nice here we just watched those youtubers that are just so kind and so

we're gonna watch her weekly vlog and it's hellix thanksgiving vlog so i'm

always excited for her weekly vlogs anyway i'm gonna watch that eat this and

then we'll watch the football right so there's baking time I've hammered in it

and I'm so full and it is the half time in the games I thought this is a perfect

time to start baking so I'll show you what I've done is I've literally just

searched easy chocolate chip recipes on Google

I found you just find it but I found it so it's just the it's called the best

chocolate chip cookies a recipe from the allrecipes.com

it looks like it's pretty easy take me too long to make so I'll give it

a go right these are my ingredients I have got some batter you might have some

butter in there some brown sugar some eggs some flour some baking soda some

sugar a bit of vanilla extract and you are meant to have some chocolate chips

that I couldn't find any so mystical M&Ms and I'm going to round ooh - if a

halftime will do - so I'm gonna do one normal with M&Ms and have a bit of cocoa

powder here to make some chocolate ones and crunch a bit of white chocolate

instead of chocolate chips in it and then I know that my TA loves white

chocolate so I'm hoping to do that

so you can hit Chelsea in the background but this is my mixtape down I'm gonna

pop up on some baking trays and pop it in the oven so they all have like this

we wish you a Merry Christmas

the first batch is done I think I might have made my board bit too big because

they have kind of browned off a little bit I'm gonna put them on a rack and I

made these a little bit smaller so that they're not to have to be too big and

they cook a little bit quicker

how nice is this mixture look by the way these so my last batch of cookies are in

the oven and this time I've tried flattening them down because they could

just a to thicker wires so that is my baking done and that is the end of

locksmith day three accommodate three days has gone past already anyway I

shall see you tomorrow I hope you have a wonderful day and make sure you do lots

of Christmassy things because I'm really am trying to get into the Christmas

spirit I must say tomorrow's a workday so I'll

be back at school and we have a Christmas concert rehearsal so that

should definitely help get me into more of a Christmases bit anyway take care
