Waching daily Sep 28 2017

- This is an invitation for women, and female leaders

to listen to the little girl inside of them

that is screaming for your attention

that's throwing temper tantrums all over your life.

I just want to warn you that this may trigger you

as I'm going to share detailed experience

about sexual abuse.

It totally amazes me that I can be a powerful priestess

and at the same time, a scared little girl.

And that each time I uplevel my leadership

and want something more from myself and from my life

I need to go back to that little girl

and see where she's holding me back.

My name is Janelle Fraser, the expert to follow

to become genuinely happy,

wildly successful and a Naked Leader.

I was sharing with a fellow Naked Leader

that I felt stuck in my business

like I was in this box that I couldn't get out of.

I couldn't walk forward and I couldn't walk back.

Like there was something, and I can feel it

in my throat and in my neck.

And it's just like, as soon as I go to make a decision

in my business, it was like ugh and stuck.

And she said, 'Are you willing to get naked about it?'

In our world that means, that's just the surface.

I'm stuck, I don't know what to do.

But are you willing to look underneath of that.

What's causing that, what's creating that?

What's the real issue?

At the age of seven, I was caught up in

childhood sexual abuse.

And when I mean caught up, it was because

at first it was something that I was kind of interested in.

I was getting attention, it was playful,

and I remember the day where that changed.

I remember the day where, this interaction

was no longer playful and was no longer wanted.

But my belief as a little girl,

was because I played along, that I couldn't say no,

now that it got more serious.

And so the day that this happened,

was the day that this abuse when from

more minor things to more major.

Like oral sex and penetration.

And the very moment that was locked in my memories,

and in my nervous system, was the moment where

this boy wanted me to give him oral sex.

And I didn't want to, and I remember

him being, and his penis being here in front of me,

and his hand being on the back of my head,

I just got shivers down my spine, on the back of my head,

and it was like I couldn't move forward,

and I couldn't move backwards,

it was like I was stuck, and I was trapped.

And at that point I lost my voice

because I couldn't say no,

because I felt like I initiated it,

or I was playing a role in it.

So the thing we're talking about,

and we're struggling with on a daily basis,

99% of the time it's not the real issue.

And so are you willing to listen

to the temper tantrums that that little girl

is throwing in your life?

You may not have been abused, this isn't about that.

It's about each one of us, had experiences growing up,

with lessons we learned,

and decisions we made about ourselves,

and beliefs that we adopted, that are impacting

the way you lead and live your life today.

So we all know that children can throw temper tantrums,

and they are freaking good at it, right?

So what happens if we don't listen to her,

she will throw a bigger and bigger and bigger

temper tantrum, in your life, until you listen to her.

Don't make her do that, listen to her today,

she's already giving you signs and symbols,

of what you need, of what she needs,

and what needs to be healed.

So heal the girl to expose the woman.

If you like this, please give it a thumbs up.

I would love it if you'd share it with your friends,

and absolutely be sure to subscribe,

so you can get my next video.

Make it a great day.

Top 10 Most Scary Ghost Pranks - Duration: 8:52.

Everybody loves a good prank video on Youtube.

But things get taken to a whole other level when ghosts are added to the mix.

Whether or not you believe in ghosts, these prank videos are definitely scaray and you

shouldn't watch them if you are faint at heart.

Alright, now that I got that out of my system, let's look at the top 10 most scary ghost

pranks.

So just before we get into the video, we now have Patreon.

We will be uploaded a whole bunch of extra bonus content, we will be giving away free

merch and allowing you guys to help pick our videos.

You get to become apart of the team.

So if you guys want to help support us click the link down below.

Can't wait to see you Most Aamzing people over on Patreon.

Scaring us in at number 10 with a Running ghost.

This terrifying ghost prank took place in India and it features a girl dressed up like

the character from the ring and she basically torments and runs after bystanders on the

street.

She is absolutely terrifying because of the way she chases you and screams.

I don't know what I would do in that situation.

I'm surprised no one fought back, I feel like this is a recipe for disaster.

Floating our way into number 9, Paranormal activity.

A group of friends decided to prank their friend by setting up rigs in the apartment

in order to make it appear as if there was a ghost in the apartment.

They make up an excuse and leave their friend in the apartment alone and that's when things

get really scary for him.

Light begin to flicker, objects are moving on their own and this poor guy has no idea

what's going on.

Yeah if I was him, I'd probably get some new friends.

I mean he was absolutely terrified and was practically trying to claw his way out of

the house.

Up next in at number 8 we have Ghost in the mirror.

In this prank, one of the mirrors in a beauty shop has a scary surprise for the customers.

Take a look.

I mean, does this company want to lose all of their clients?

Hopefully the hairdresser wasn't using scissors at the time that the ghost appeared.

If I saw a creepy little ghost girl in my mirror I would never go back to that beauty

shop ever again, regardless if it was real or not.

I'll cut my own hair from now on thanks.

Boo!

In at number 7 is a Scary subway ghost prank.

This one is actually pretty scary because people on the train would never suspect this

was a prank.

Alright so we have a couple of people in one car on the train and the lights begin to flicker

and eventually all of the lights go out.

Once the lights come back on, all of the people on the subway are in complete panic and are

fearing for their safety.

Next time take an uber.

Number 6 brings us to the Ghost child scare prank.

In this prank video, there are so many different ways that they use this creepy little girl

to scare strangers.

But for me, the scariest is when this car drives up to her on a dirt road and she just

turns around with her head off to the side.

The driver decides it's a better idea to get out of his car and run for his life instead

of reversing.

If I saw that creepy white ghost face staring at me I'd probably have a heart attack and

die.

Now in at number 5 we have Ghost on a hoverboard.

In this prank, a scary looking ghost lurks behind objects and then he jumps out at people

while chasing them on his hoverboard making creepy noises.

I'll admit this would be a pretty scary situation to be in.

Although, I'd probably wouldn't believe this was a real ghost.

I'd think this is just a crazy murderer trying to kill me.

So yeah, I'd be running away really fast.

Moving into number 4 with Another Indian ghost scare prank.

In this video, there appears to be a man dressed in white clothing, sitting on the curb, barley

moving.

As people walk past him, he jumps up and sprints after them.

I like how carefully that guy put down his motorcycle before he ran for his life.

I'm glad he has his priorities figured out.

Seriously though, I'd probably die of shock.

Next up in at number 3 Creepy little girl ghost.

Take a look at her face, I can't even deal with that.

That face is actually what nightmares are made of.

Anyways, this frightening looking little girl is covered in blood and she is just standing

there waiting for her next victim.

Once somebody crosses her, she screams and runs after them.

Things get even more scarier when it looks like she is feeding off of a dead body.

Take a look

Yeah seriously buddy I'd be running for dear life too.

Scary ghost elevator prank Comes in at number 2.

For some people, elevators are scary enough.

They are small, often crowded and break down.

But when you add a ghost to the mix, things get pretty intense.

Here's what I mean Judging by that scream, these two ladies thought they were going to

die.

Sometimes I think these pranks go a little bit too far because you could just see how

much fear and panic these two women were feeling.

They probably will be taking the stairs for the rest of their lives.

Finally in at number 1 is the Revenge paranormal prank.

This guy wanted to get revenge on his friend so he set on an elaborate prank to basically

scare him to death.

He had a ghost hiding in the trunk of his car and another one waiting in

the forest.

His poor friend is actually so terrified as he tries to run for his life.

I don't understand friendships like this where you feel the need to keep getting revenges

on each other, I feel like they are just setting each other up to die from heart attacks.

Well there you guys have it…

Hugh Hefner Dead: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | CaCao TV - Duration: 6:47.

Hugh Hefner Dead: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Hugh Hefner has died, according to a Twitter post by Playboy. His exact cause of death is unclear at this time. You can see the post below.

Here is what you need to know:.

Hefner's Health Had Been Rapidly Declining in Recent Years. According to TMZ, Henfer's health had been declining over the past couple of years. Back in August, his son Cooper opened up about his dad's health.

"It's tough to watch him struggle, but I'm just happy it's physical and not mental," Cooper told The Hollywood Reporter.

About a year ago, a source told Page Six that Hefner hadn't been doing well and that the then-90-year-old had lost a significant amount of weight.

"He looks like he is down to around 90 pounds and super sick. His people are really trying to keep this under wraps. You even have to sign a confidentiality agreement to go up to see him," the source told the outlet.

Hefner Had Not Been Seen in Public Since May 2016. Hefner had been out of the public eye for well over a year before his death, according to the Daily Mail.

He was fairly quiet on social media, but had been more active on Twitter in recent weeks. After a four-month hiatus, Hefner took to the platform to send out the following tweet in honor of his dear friend, Janet Pilgrim.

Hefner sent out a couple of more tweets about Pilgrim and then stayed off of Twitter until the death of another friend in August.

A few weeks later, Hefner sent out the following tweets. His very last tweets were posted on September 19. Both posts were about helping others that had been affected by the recent hurricanes. You can read them below.

Hefner Sold the Playboy Mansion Back in August 2016.

The Playboy Mansion was purchased by Hostess Brands heir Daren Metropoulos for $100 million. Hefner and Metropoulos agreed that the mogul would live in the mansion, keeping to himself (for the most part) until he passed away.

Hefner made quite the profit from the property, which was purchased by Playboy for approximately $1. 1 million back in 1971.

"The property…sits amid 5 acres (2 hectares) in Holmby Hills, west of Los Angeles, and includes 29 rooms, a tennis court and a free-form swimming pool – and has a zoo license.

It is home to the famous Playboy grotto, which over the years served as the setting for some of Hefner's most lavish, hedonistic parties," Reuters reported around the time of the sale.

Hefner Is Most Known for Founding Playboy Magazine.

The very first cover model was Marilyn Monroe back in 1953. Over the years, some of the hottest women in the world have landed the cover of the iconic magazine, including Cindy Crawford, Pamela Anderson, Madonna, Sharon Stone, and Kim Kardashian.

"Hefner's magazine brought female nudity out of bachelor parties and into living rooms, and it played a leading role in the sexual revolution of the 1960s.

His tinseled soirées at his exclusive Los Angeles pad became the stuff of legend, filled with celebrity friends and scantily clad models.

Hefner often worked the room in a red smoking jacket with a pipe hanging from his mouth," NBC News wrote in their news post about Hefner's passing.

Hefner Was Married Three Times & Had 4 Children. Hefner is survived by his wife, Crystal Hefner, and his four children (from previous relationships); Christine, David, Marston, and Cooper.

Hefner was previously married to Millie Williams from 1948 until 1959. The couple had two children, Christine and David. In 1989, Hefner married Kimberly Conrad.

They had Marston and Cooper together. Hefner and Conrad split in 2010. Hefner dated a few women over the next two years, but settled down again with Crystal Hefner in 2012.

The couple almost didn't get married, however, as Harris broke up with Hefner days before their scheduled wedding back in 2011.

"I think the real problems began a couple of months before the wedding… We went to London, about five or six weeks before, and things did not seem quite the way they ought to be.

She was preparing a song for the first time and I think her focus was on that.

But in the weeks immediately afterward, as we got very close to the marriage, you know, something was not right. But I didn't see it coming, I truly didn't see it coming," Hefner told Piers Morgan at the time.

Hefner and Harris reconciled and ended up tying the knot at the Playboy Mansion. Hefner made the official announcement on Twitter.

Marston Hefner, Hugh Hefner's Son: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | CaCao TV - Duration: 7:08.

Marston Hefner, Hugh Hefner's Son: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Hugh Hefner (C) and his son pose on arrival for the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute honouring Paul McCartney as Person of the Year on February 10, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.

The MusiCares Person of the Year tribute is one of the most prestigious events held during Grammy Week ahead of the 54th Annual Grammy Awards on February 12.

Hugh Hefner– famous for founding Playboy and his legendary silk-robe– has sadly died at age 91. Over the course of his accomplished life, Hefner was married three times. He is survived by four children, one of whom is 27-year-old Marston Hefner.

Here's what you need to know about Marston.

His Mother Was Playboy's Playmate of the Year in 1989. From 1989 to 2010, Hefner was married to Kimberley Conrad, Playboy's Playmate of the Month in January 1988 and Playboy of the Year in 1989.

He Was Arrested for Allegedly Attacking His Playboy Playmate Girlfriend. Model Claire Sinclair attends the premiere of Syfy's "Sharknado: The 4th Awakens" at the Stratosphere Casino Hotel on July 31, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In 2012, Marston was arrested for allegedly attacking girlfriend and Playboy Playmate Claire Sinclair.  According to a TMZ article shortly after the incident, Marston admitted he had gotten into an argument with Sinclair, but did not admit to attacking her.

In February of that year, Sinclair spoke about the incident to E! News, saying:.

"We had just freshly moved into the apartment, and I know Marston was a little stressed out about it, and Marston has been unstable throughout the whole course of our relationship…and we got into an argument about something really silly and it kind of escalated and it became violent," she said.

"Initially, he kicked me and I went backwards, I fell. Then he punched me and grabbed me up, and I scratched him to defend myself. It was very shocking.".

Sinclair told the outlet that this wasn't the first domestic dispute between her and Marston, who pled "no contest".

In March 2012, according to the Daily Mail, Marston was sentenced to 52 weeks in a domestic violence program for the alleged abuse.  He was also ordered to stay away from Sinclair for three years.

Claire Sinclair was the he Playboy official pin-up and Playmate of the year 2011. She had been dating Marston since August 2010.

He's a Former Leader of the Human Rights Student Task Force. After interviewing him in 2008, GQ described Marston as someone who had no interest in the rich and luxurious lifestyle his father led.

"He seems to have no interest in, say, scoping chicks with Bill Maher at the Midsummer Night's Dream party. He does not wear silk. He…. has strong opinions on Darfur.".

Did that mean his childhood was completely devoid of the sexual imagery his father is famous for selling? No. "Well, as a 15-year-old kid, seeing naked people occasionally, that's—it's just the lifestyle of growing up as Hugh Hefner's son, in his shadow.

It's not a boo-hoo sob story. But it's not the same as every other kid," Marston explained to GQ.

He Spent the First Eight Years of His Life Living in the Playboy Mansion. 2016 Playmate of the Year Eugena Washington poses with her new All-New 2017 Fiat 124 Spider at Playboy's 2016 Playmate of the Year Announcement.

According to GQ, Marston spent the first eight years of his life living in the Playboy mansion. And although one could argue the photos adorning the house are enough of a sex education, Marston holds received his official sex education at school.

The only reason I might know more is because, like, it was all around me. So I'm more comfortable.". Opening up about women, Marston later added on, "My, like, expectancy for what girl I'm going to get is, like, so fucked-up.

I've just been around really hot women my entire life, so the average high school girl won't do it for me. But instead of making me really care about looks, I look for the personality and a personal connection.

Because I've been around looks all my life, and it's like, if I can't talk to her…".

His Parents Separated in 1998.

Hugh Hefner and his former wife Kimberley Conrad Hefner who both accepted Wildlife achievement awards at the 9th annual "Safari Brunch" at the Playboy Mansion to benefit the Wildlife Waystation, Country's Premier wild Animal Refuge October 18, 2003 in Bel Air, California.

According to GQ, Marston's parents split up in 1998. Afterwards, he moved in with his mother to a "more modest house that adjoins the property.".

Hefner and Conrad were separated for 11 years before officially divorcing– they waited for their eldest child to turn 18. The divorce was finalized in March 2010. Marson's brother, Cooper, is an executive at the Playboy enterprise.

The Pentatonic Scale for Dorian and Lydian You Forgot to Check out - Duration: 14:55.

(Jazz guitar music)

- Hi everybody, my name is Jens Larsen.

In this video, I'm going to take the Hirajoshi scale,

which is a Japanese pentatonic scale,

and I'm gonna show you how that works extremely well

for making some licks with a Dorian or a Lydian type sound.

I'm also gonna show you how, if you take any scale,

but in this case just the pentatonic scale,

how I go about looking for melodic ideas

and finding arpeggios and patterns within the scale

that you can use when you are making lines

and when you're getting used to it.

If you want to learn more about jazz guitar,

about improvising over chord changes,

interesting scales and arpeggios,

then subscribe to my channel.

If you want to make sure not to miss anything,

then click the little bell icon notification

next to the subscribe button.

The hirajoshi scale is a pentatonic scale.

And of course, Hirajoshi is--

I hope I'm not completely slaughtering the name,

is a Japanese word, so it's a Japanese pentatonic scale.

If you check this out on Wikipedia and a few other places,

you'll see they don't really agree on where the root is.

The way I'm going to think about the scale in this video,

because I don't really care too much

about what the root of the scale is

because I'm putting it on top of other chords,

is that if it's in the key of E,

or we think of E as the root here,

then we have this scale.

So E...

F#...

G...

B...

C...

And E.

So...

You can look at this as being sort of a pentatonic scale,

if you build a pentatonic scale from the sixth degree

of a major scale, then this is actually what you get.

Because you would use one,

Two, three, five, and six.

Similar if you play one from C major,

it would be one,

two...

Three, five, six.

So that's kinda one way of looking at it.

It's easy to relate to it if we think about it like that

because it's close to how we normally work

with pentatonic scales.

There are going to be a few things

that I'm going to work with.

This is going to be a little bit guitar-oriented

in terms of some of the patterns that I'm using,

and some of the approaches to finding material.

But for the rest, this whole video will actually work

just as well for any other instrument.

It's not really about that,

but I'm going to use a few guitar tricks, so to speak.

The way we play pentatonic scales most of the time

on guitar is two notes per string.

So of course you know...

(musical scale)

This A minor pentatonic scale.

If we take this scale and make it

into a two note per string structure,

then that could be something like that.

(pentatonic scale)

And of course you can do this in five positions

because it's a pentatonic scale.

The reason why I'm doing this,

this might seem less than obvious in the beginning,

but there are just a lot of things

that are really nice to do

with two note per string patterns.

And we already know them because we already checked

out most of the pentatonic scales.

So we might as well try and use them

on other structures that are similar to the normal

minor pentatonic scale that we all know and love so much.

Another way of playing this pentatonic scale

that's really useful is to think of it

as being sort of a small cell

that you can move around in octaves.

And probably anybody who's checked out any kind

of heavy-metal tutorials online will recognize this shape.

(plays Hirajoshi scale)

To start exploring the scale and figuring out

what kind of chords we can use it on,

let's just look at the notes

and see if we can come up with something.

So if we have E...

F#...

G...

B...

C...

And of course it repeats,

so E, F#, G, B, C, E.

Then we have two octaves of the scale.

And a few things that sort of jumps out at me,

is if we take the notes...

C...E...and G...

Then we have a C-major triad.

So that's in there.

And we can also take E, G, and B.

Okay, that's here.

Okay, so E, G, and B, that's an E-minor triad.

Another structure that's in there is...

B...E...and F#.

So that's a Bsus4...

And also one that's a little bit less common

would be F#...B, and C.

Which is like an F, dim, sus sharp four triad.

So if we look at those triads,

we can also see that we have actually a complete...

C-Major seven arpeggio in here.

And actually the scale is Cmaj7,

with an added #11.

So that's kinda given us the Lydian vibe.

And this also was telling us we can use this very well

to get sort of a Dorian sound.

Sort of like a Cmaj7(#11).

Like this one.

Over on A, so it would be...

This type of sound.

(Am13 Dorian chord)

Which is probably where I would suggest using this.

The reason I don't use it on E

is we don't actually have a seventh degree.

So we only have the C but we're kind of missing something

that would be a D, or a D#

to get something that we can really use on an E minor.

In my opinion, anyway.

The next thing we can do, is to take some structure

and then try to move that through the scale

just to get a better overview of what's in there.

And see if we can find some arpeggios

or chords that we can use.

And I'm just gonna start with really just looking

at what notes are in there and making sort of

an observation, what is possible to make.

And the voicing that I have here

is a Gmaj7 shell voicing.

Which is contained in the scale

because we have G, B, and F# in the scale.

And if I move that through the scale,

so the idea here is...

This scale is kind of easy to think of on one string

because we have sort of one cluster of notes

which is E, F#, and G.

And then we have B and C.

And then that repeats.

So those patterns really help us

when we need to move something along the neck.

It's like a chord shape, like this, through the scale.

And that's really what I'm going

to be doing in this next example.

So we start with the Gmaj7 shell voicing.

And I'm not going to do it in detail for all the voicings,

but just to show you the idea,

so G...the next note up from G would be a B.

From this B here, the next note is C.

From the F#, the next note is a G.

And then we have this one.

If I do that again, then B moves up to C.

C moves up to E.

And G moves up to B.

And you have a C major shell voicing.

And we can just repeat that, and we get this voicing.

And this voicing.

So all in all...

It's a really interesting sounding voicing.

And they will all work really well

for some sort of A minor Dorian or C Lydian sound.

And of course we can also use them as arpeggios, so...

(jazz guitar arpeggios)

If we start building chords the same way

as we can with a normal pentatonic scale,

then really what we do is just sort of split

the pentatonic scale into a first and second row of notes.

And just put three of those together.

And if we do that with this fingering,

so we have of course...

(pentatonic guitar picking)

this fingering for this scale.

Then we get these voicings.

(strums jazz chord)

And here we have this one, which is sort of like a D7(13)

without a D, or an Am6,

or some sort of C, Cmaj7(#11) without a third.

So that's useful for the kind of sound that we're going for.

The next one, this one,

is the same as this...

If we play it an octave higher.

That's a C major triad and the first inversion.

Then we get this from F#,

which is in fact our B.

So B...sus4 triad.

Then we have...

This, which is like a C Lydian triad inversion.

And then we get the final one,

which is an E minor triad.

So if we take these triads and move them along the neck

in the middle strings, that would be this.

(plays chord voicings)

As I mentioned, there are some things

that are really easy to play if we think

in terms of the two notes per string patterns.

And then some stuff will just sort of fall naturally

within the scale and give us

some great material to work with.

And an example of that could be this pattern,

that's a five note grouping start on this G.

So...

(plays pentatonic pattern)

A similar idea could be a pattern like this.

(plays scale pattern)

And of course, this scale is laid out

quite differently on the fret board,

with the two notes per string type pattern.

And it's more difficult to play than a normal

minor pentatonic scale.

But still, I think this works really well,

and it's a nice way to just come up with some ideas.

And you can use some of the same patterns

that you would normally use in a pentatonic scale.

So in that way it's easy to just use some material,

and get some easy, accessible, melodic ideas from that way.

(plays Dorian Jazz Lick)

The first example starts off with this arpeggio,

which is of course...

The D7(13) chord voicing without the root.

And this an arpeggio I use a lot.

I find it extremely useful, both for the Dorian

and the Lydian sounds.

And actually also just to mixolydian or even,

diminished type of dominant sound.

And here I'm starting with leading notes,

so I'm sliding into the C.

And then I'm using the pattern that I talked about

in the previous example, so that's...

This pattern.

And then from the next string set as well.

And then down to an E.

Skipping down to C.

And ending on the F#, which in this case

is like the 13 on the A-minor.

And of course, I think all these lines,

you can use them on the A minor and also

on the C Lydian sound.

So really, whether it's Dorian or Lydian,

doesn't really matter too much.

And this line would work just as well

if you played it over...

C seventh flat five or #11.

The second example, I'm also playing an A minor chord,

so over this A minor 13.

But again, you can use it on the C as well.

I'm starting with basically the scale minus one note.

So it's the scale minus the C,

and that gives me this E minor at nine arpeggio.

So...

(plays arpeggio)

And I'm playing two octaves left,

down to the E again.

Then we get a C shell voicing.

And then an F#.

And then just down the scale,

to end on the ninth of the A minor.

(jazzy guitar)

The third example has a background

of a Cmaj7(#11),

of a b5 chord just to really demonstrate

the Lydian idea works quite well.

And the first part of it is an E minor triad,

so this is E minor first inversion triad,

with a leading note.

So...

And then the next part is a Bsus4 triad.

So E minor first.

Bsus4.

Then a Cmaj7 arpeggio.

And then I'm repeating the first phrase again.

So there's an E minor first inversion triad

with a leading note.

But I'm playing it from this F#, so...

(jazz guitar lick)

This example is also really emphasizing the Lydian sound

you can use this scale for.

I'm starting with a pattern that's coming

out of this fingering, so...

But I'm playing it descending

so I'm starting on the G, so...

And then just using this octave.

From this B, I'm just using an E minor triad,

and then up to F#.

And here I'm using the F# to just lead

into a Gmaj7 shell voicing.

Followed by a Cmaj7 shell voicing.

And then down the E minor triad,

and then ending on the #11.

(Strums Lydian Chord)

As you can tell, I'm not really that concerned

with which note is the root note in the scale,

and what kind of tonality it implies.

Because the way I use pentatonic scales when I'm playing,

well at least when I'm improvising like this,

is really just a set of notes that have a certain sound.

So they are certain extensions on top of another chord,

and they have certain intervals,

and contain in that way a sound that I can put

on top of another chord.

So I'm really not concerned with

what the root of the scale is,

because I'm anyway mostly using this on two chords,

one of which, the root is not really

even contained in the scale.

And I think that's the most normal way

to really work with pentatonic scales in jazz in general.

If you have an idea for a pentatonic scale

that I should try and go over and work through

like I'm working through this one,

then leave a comment.

And of course, also, if you have an idea

for some sort of arpeggio or structure

that I forgot to talk about,

then you can also leave a comment on that

because the more complete we have in terms of--

the more material we have on the scale, the better.

And it can sometimes be difficult

to just spot all the chords that are in there, of course.

If you wanna learn more about jazz guitar,

and this is the first time you see one of my lessons,

then subscribe to my channel.

I publish a new lesson every Thursday,

and I've been doing this for quite some time.

So there's already really a lot of material

available on my channel.

I'm really grateful for the support

that I get from my patrons.

It's because of the support that I get

through my Patreon page that I can keep

on making all these videos.

And if you want to help me keep making videos,

then check out my Patreon page.

If you support me over there,

then I can also give you something in return.

That's about it for this week.

Thank you for watching,

and until next week.

As the founder of Playboy magazine, which would eventually become the most successful men's magazine in the world and an iconic symbol in the 60s sexual revolution, it's no surprise that Hugh Hefner accumulated a large sum of money over the course of his accomplished life.

Recent estimates suggest the businessman had an estimated net worth of about $50 million at the time of his death. Hefner passed away peacefully at his home near Beverly Hills on Wednesday with loved ones at his side.

Along with founding the magazine, Hefner was a civil rights activist.

In 1961, he bought back Playboy club franchises that refused to admit African American members, writing, "We are outspoken foes of segregation [and] we are actively involved in the fight to see the end of all racial inequalities in our time.

" He also organized the Playboy Jazz Festival in Chicago in 1959; profits from the festival's first day went to the NAACP. Read on to learn more about Hugh Hefner's net worth.

His Net Worth Was Reportedly over $200 Million at Playboy's Peak.

Hefner is said to have launched Playboy in 1953 after asking for $8,000 in loans from friends, relatives, and the bank. He, himself, contributed just $600 to the magazine's premiere publication. The first issue of Playboy hit newsstands in December 1953.

According to INC, nationwide sales of the first issue reached 50,000. By 1971, Playboy was selling 7 million copies each month.  Gazette Review reports that Playboy was making $12 million a year at the time– the equivalent of $70 million annually today.

The playboy mansion became famous in the 70s for its lavish celebrations. It was the epicenter of the LA glamour scene, and was visited by celebrities like John Lennon, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Cindy Crawford.

In August 2016, Hefner sold the famous mansion to 33-year-old Daren Metroupoulos for $100 million. Metroupoulos, the son of billionaire investor C.

Dean Metropoulos and principal at the investment firm Metropoulos & Co, purchased the home under the condition that Hefner would be allowed to remain in the residence for the remainder of his life, according to the LA Times.

The outlet reported that Playboy Enterprises agreed to pay $1 million a year to lease the property.

At the time he purchased the home, Metropoulos, who owns the Hostess Brands, already owned the house adjacent to the Playboy mansion.  He has said he hopes to eventually combine the two estates.

The  21,987-square-foot Playboy mansion sits on over 5 acres, and was designed in 1927 by Arthur R. Kelly.

It was acquired in 1971 for about $1.1 million, and was initially listed for $200 million. According to E! Online, the home has 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, a theater, gym, and tennis court.  It also has a zoo license.

He Had a Modest Upbringing. Hefner came from humble beginnings. Born in Chicago on April 9, 1926, he was the first child of Grace Caroline and Glenn Hefner, who were both teachers and strict Protestants from Nebraska.

In a 2011 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hefner said, "My folks were raised pure prohibitionist. They were very good people, with high moral standards — but very repressed. There was no hugging and kissing in my home.".

As a boy, he filled his time illustrating cartoons and writing. He's said to have sold copies of his own typewritten newspaperfor a penny each. He also reportedly served as student council president. Speaking to the Chicago Tribune in 1994, Hefner said:.

I had a very happy and very inventive childhood in my old Chicago neighborhood on the Northwest Side, between Oak Park Avenue and Harlem. The closest busy street to us was Grand Avenue, which led straight into the heart of the city.

In 1944, after graduating high school, Hefner served as a writer for a military newspaper in the US Army.

He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 1949 with a BA in Psychology and a double minor in creative writing and art. Playboy Stock Prices Fell Drastically Between 2000 and 2010. Getty.

Playboy reached its peak in the mid 1970s. Over the last 15 years, however, magazine sales have decreased dramatically, threatening the Playboy empire.

According to data from the Publishers Information Bureau, the magazine sold 765 ad pages in 2000, and only 311 in 2009.

That same year, the magazine reduced its circulation schedule to 11 issues a year. In 2011, a leveraged buyout resulted in Hefner losing about 80% of his shares in Playboy, according to Coed.

Four years later, the magazine's circulation dropped to 800,000.  According to the New York Times, it was outsold by only Maxim.

At the time of his death, Hefner owned approximately 35% of the Playboy brand and 100% of the magazine, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

He Has Donated Money to the Democratic Party, Film Schools, and Autism Research.

Playboy Magazine owner Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris arrives at the TCM Classic Film Festival's gala opening night world premiere of the newly restored film "A Star Is Born" at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on April 22, 2010 in Hollywood, California.

While he made a great deal of money, Hefner also donated large sums to a variety of causes. In 2016, he donated $2 million to the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts.

Three years prior, Hefner and Jenny McCarthy raised money to fund Autism research. A 2000 New York Times article reports that from 1990 to 2000, Hefner and his daughter, Christie, donated about $95,000 to Democratic candidates and committees.

In 2012, the founder was named the "Humanitarian of the Year" award by Angelwish, which grants wishes to kids living with chronic illnesses.

A statement released by the organization at the time read, "All of us at Angelwish. org are thrilled to be the beneficiary of this amazing event thrown by iDonate Charity.

Tens of thousands of children living with chronic illnesses will benefit from the funds raised on February 12th.

We are especially excited that we will get to honor Mr Hefner with our 'Humanitarian of the Year' award for all his charitable efforts over the years and for allowing us to include him in this celebration.".

Anila Daulatzai: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | CaCao TV - Duration: 12:59.

Anila Daulatzai: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Anila Daulatzai, a college professor whose research focuses on violence and widows in war-torn countries, was accused of being disorderly after police forcibly removed her from a Southwest plane when she said she was allergic to dogs.

The incident – with law enforcement officers grabbing Daulatzai's arms as she shouted at them not to touch her – was captured on another passenger's cell phone, and the video has gone viral.

The Los Angeles Times identified the previously unidentified woman as Daulatzai, 46. Harvard University lists her as having been a Visiting Assistant Professor of Women's Studies and Islamic Studies at Harvard Divinity School. .

According to Vogue Magazine, she currently teaches at the Maryland Institute College of Art. She has studied the plight of war widows in Afghanistan.

The Harvard Divinity School bio for Daulatzai reads, "Anila Daulatzai is a socio-cultural anthropologist with active research projects in both Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Her current interests primarily circulate around the themes of war and humanitarianism, as well as the related themes of violence and care.

"Daulatzai teaches at the Maryland Institute College of Art, a spokesman for the school confirmed. According to her online bio, she is a socio-cultural anthropologist in the Humanistic Studies department.

She previously was a visiting assistant professor at Harvard Divinity School," The Los Angeles Times reported. Here's what you need to know:.

Daulatzai Was Told to Leave the Airplane After Revealing She Had a Dog Allergy, Reports Say.

The incident was captured on citizen video that is going viral, and it is drawing comparisons to the David Dao incident, in which Dao, a passenger on an United plane, was dragged down an airplane aisle because he refused to give up his seat when the airplane was overbooked.

Dao hired a lawyer, and he and the airline, in that case United, settled the case for terms not disclosed.

According to the Baltimore Sun, the latest incident occurred on "Flight 1525, which was set to depart Baltimore for Los Angeles about 8:40 p. " The incident occurred on September 26 at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

The video shows two officers grabbing the Daulatzai's arms, and one officer, with his arms around her chest, yanking and pulling her down the aisle and off the plane.

"Don't touch me!" the woman yells. A third officer was also at the scene.

CBS Los Angeles said Daulatzai "had argued with police about an allergy." She was from Baltimore and "refused to get off" after telling flight attendants she was deathly ill of dogs on the plane, CBS LA reported.

The woman also accused an officer of ripping her pants off, CBS LA reported.

CBS reported that there was a service dog and another animal on the plane, and Daulatzai did not produce a medical certificate confirming she could safely fly on the plane.

The Baltimore Sun reported, "While Daulatzai said her allergy was life-threatening, she was unable to provide the necessary medical certificate," according to Southwest.

"The woman stated she had a pet allergy but was unable to provide documentation that she could safely fly with the animals on the plane, Southwest said in a statement," according to CBS News.

"'There was one emotional support animal and one pet onboard the aircraft,' the company said.

'Our policy states that a customer (without a medical certificate) may be denied boarding if they report a life-threatening allergic reaction and cannot travel safely with an animal onboard.

Police Have Now Accused Daulatzai of Crimes in Connection With the Incident. According to CBS, a witness said that the flight attendants spent a lot of time trying to get Daulatzai to just leave the plane.

Bill Dumas, who filmed the scene on his cell phone, told CBS the woman was acting "odd" and the officers followed protocol.

"She just lost control of the situation and she was way in over her head by the point that the police were trying to take her out," passenger Bill Dumas told CBS Baltimore.

"It really looks like police were being overly aggressive, but really she wasn't giving them much of a choice.".

The Los Angeles Times identified the woman as Anila Daulatzai of Baltimore and reported that she "was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order, disturbing the peace, obstructing and hindering a police officer and resisting arrest.

In the video, Daulatzai yells, "My dad has a surgery! What are you doing? I will walk off! Don't touch me! Don't touch me! You have ripped my pants off.

" According to CBS Baltimore, she also shouted, ""I'm a professor! What are you doing?!".

According to The Times, "Daulatzai was transported to the Anne Arundel County District Court, where she was released on her own recognizance…She had been removed from the plane at the request of its captain.

Daulatzai Is a College Professor Who Has Research Projects in Afghanistan & Pakistan. According to a bio posted by Harvard, Anila Daulatzai "is a socio-cultural anthropologist with active research projects in both Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Her current interests primarily circulate around the themes of war and humanitarianism, as well as the related themes of violence and care.

She was trained at UCLA in Public Health and in Islamic Studies, and completed her PhD in Socio-cultural Anthropology in 2013 from the Johns Hopkins University.

The university bio reports, "Anila Daulatzai has educated students on three continents (North America, Europe and Asia).

The scope of courses she has taught range from anthropology courses specifically on Afghanistan, critical humanitarianism, transnational migration, towards an anthropology of Islamophobia, critical public health and medical anthropology, and radical ethnography as social science research methodology.

She has held teaching fellowships and teaching positions at the Johns Hopkins University in the USA, at Kabul University and at the American University of Afghanistan in Afghanistan, at the University of Zürich in Switzerland, and at the Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan.

She has studied the lives of widows in Kabul. The South Metro Villager wrote about a talk that included Daulatzai: "Anila Daulatzai, Louise Lamphere Visiting Assistant Professor in Gender Studies and Anthropology at Brown University and 2014-2015 Harvard WSRP Research Associate was the keynote.

Daulatzai drew on four years of fieldwork, teaching and research in Afghanistan to examine women's experience during 30 years of serial war and occupation.

Her research on widowhood and the role of the Afghan state, foreign states, NGOs, Muslims and Afghan families provided a window into the everyday life of women in Kabul.

Daulatzai's forthcoming book based on this research is 'War and What Remains: Everyday Life in Contemporary Kabul, Afghanistan. CBS Baltimore reported that Maryland Institute College of Art had declined to comment right after the incident.

Southwest Airlines Apologized to Daulatzai for the Incident.

Although views on the incident are mixed on social media – some believe Daulatzai was treated this way because of the color of her skin, and others believe she was to blame – Southwest has publicly apologized to the professor.

The Baltimore Sun reported that Southwest released a statement that said, "We are disheartened by the way this situation unfolded and the customer's removal by local law enforcement officers.

We publicly offer our apologies to this customer for her experience and we will be contacting her directly to address her concerns.

According to the Harvard bio, Daulatzai "has graduate degrees from UCLA in public health and Islamic studies, and completed her PhD in socio-cultural anthropology in 2013 at The Johns Hopkins University.

The bio adds, "Anila is writing a book based on her ethnographic research with widows and their families in Kabul. The working title for her current book manuscript is "War and What Remains:.

Everyday Life in Contemporary Kabul, Afghanistan. " "War and What Remains" explores everyday life amidst a current war and occupation with a backdrop of prior wars, occupation, and humanitarianism.

The book is based on more than four years of anthropological fieldwork conducted between 2003 and 2011 in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Daulatzai Is Teaching a Course in 'Talibanization'. According to the Harvard website, "Currently Anila Daulatzai is teaching a graduate-level seminar course titled 'Talibanization' and its other.

This course does not focus on the history of the Taliban movement (or movements described as 'Taliban-like'), but more importantly on the performative nature of the term 'Talibanization'.

The course explores what deploying the term enables, particularly in the highly militarized contexts of the United States, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The site adds, "In particular, the course explores how formations of liberalism, feminism, and secularism give life to a term like 'Talibanization', and the violence that is enabled and justified by its deployment.

Explorations of the 'liberal' and the 'secular' and of how they are constituted in particular contexts thus form a core aspect of this course.

What To Do in Life - How To Know Your Life Purpose - Duration: 7:37.

Brainy Dose Presents:

What To Do in Life - How To Know Your Life Purpose

In life, you never know what's coming next, so you can't really figure out your entire

future.

That being said, there are things you can do to help influence the outcome of your life.

Chances are, you have no clue of what you want to do.

It's a struggle that most people go through at some point in life.

So when people ask, "What should I do with my life?" or "What is my life purpose?"

what they're actually asking is: "What can I do with my time that is important?"

Here are 10 ways that can help you figure it out…

Number 1 – Be Comfortable with Discomfort

We all know that life can get uncomfortable from time to time but the best things in life

are often hard.

Learning is hard, building something great is hard, a marriage can be hard, but they

are all amazing things.

Sometimes you don't have enough money to do the things you want to, or perhaps whatever

you're pursuing requires that you live with some discomfort.

For example, you get a great job offer in a foreign country.

Perhaps you don't even speak the language!

You'll have to give up the comforts in your life to pursue this opportunity - including

your home, your family and friends.

It will be tough at first, but you will adjust in time.

You see, if you get used to a little discomfort, you can do anything.

So, how do you get good at this?

Well, you have to go out of your comfort zone and do things that are uncomfortable and hard

on purpose.

But you need to start with small steps.

If you want to get fit, join a gym and start with light weights.

Even if it's hard, stick to it and over time, you will see results.

Number 2 - Ask Yourself Questions

Take some time out.

Do something relaxing…

Go for a walk in the park or somewhere tranquil.

Then ask yourself big questions.

Learn about yourself.

Write down things that interest you…

things you could see yourself doing if time and money were no object.

Really imagine yourself doing those things.

Number 3 - Think About Where You'll Be in Five Years

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

It's a difficult question to answer, but just trying to answer the question is all

you need to do.

And while you won't be able to come up with a concrete answer, it's important because

it will give you an idea of what you want to pursue.

More often than not, where you see yourself is not where you'll end up but at least

you will have developed new skills and strategies.

Also, picking a lifestyle to pursue instead of a job title can help you focus on what

you're really interested in.

Number 4 - Learn More About Your Mind

Most people don't realize this or give it much thought, but fears control them.

They don't recognize distractions and find it hard to stray from them.

It's a real challenge to change mental habits because you aren't always aware of what's

going on inside your head.

You need to learn about how your mind works and you will become much better at managing

all of this.

One of the best ways to do this is through meditation and maintaining a journal.

With meditation, you can relax and concentrate on your thoughts and by writing regularly

in a journal, you reflect on what you've been doing in life and what you have learned.

Number 5 – Explore to Find Your Passion

Passion is the result of an action and not the cause

of it.

Discovering what you're passionate about is a trial-and-error process and none of us

know how we feel about an activity until we actually try it.

Let's suppose that you're forced to try something new, anything.

What would it be?

Would you sign up for a piano class?

Would you sign up for a computer course?

Perhaps you hate computers now, but then you sign up for a course and during that course,

you discover an interest in web design.

And that's how passion is born.

So, make a short list of things you might be interested in, and then go out and try

them!

Number 6 - Write Your Personal Manifesto

This might sound silly, but most successful people and companies write a personal manifesto.

If you can figure out where you stand on certain ideas, you might be able to carve out a lifestyle

path.

It gives you a call-to-action to define how you want to do things.

The Art of Manliness has a few suggestions to get you started:

They suggest picking a few topics to concentrate on, and make them as specific as you can.

Ideas like 'The hours you want to work' or 'How you want to commute'.

These will give you an idea of what kind of work might interest you.

Then, set down your principles.

Write down your beliefs and intentions.

If you've never written down and thought about your morals or beliefs, then this is

a good time to do so.

Be sure to use strong, affirmative words.

Avoid things like 'I want' or 'I should', and instead write 'I will' or 'I am'.

The purpose of this exercise is really just to figure out what you care about, how you perceive

yourself and how you want to act moving forward.

Number 7 - Volunteer or Shadow Someone

Once you've found something you're interested in, be it a job or hobby, volunteer or job

shadow to see if it's something you really want to pursue.

Just dreaming about something won't get you far, so it's important that you actually

go out and get your hands dirty.

It happens sometimes that we think we want to do something, but then after trying it,

we realize that it's not something we like or want to further pursue.

Or perhaps it's a lot more complicated than we thought before trying.

Before you give up your current life to pursue a dream, make sure you research and read a

lot from those who have first-hand experience.

This will help you because it gives good insight to others who have been there.

Number 8 - What Will Your Legacy Be

Most of us don't sit around thinking about death, but giving thought to our own death

has some advantages.

It can help focus in on what's really important in our lives and things that aren't.

When you feel like you have no direction or purpose in life, it's because you don't

know what's important to you and you don't know what your values are.

And when you don't know what your values are, you're basically taking on other people's

values and living other people's priorities instead of your own!

So think about this long and hard…

What would you want your legacy to be?

How do you want people to talk about you when you're gone?

What will your obituary say?

What would you like it to say?

Number 9 - Overcome Distraction and Procrastination

Without overcoming distraction and procrastination,

you won't be able to move forward.

Even if you've started pursuing something and you're good at dealing with uncertainty

and discomfort, you won't get far if you're too busy with social media or watching TV.

Just remember this: Distraction and procrastination are ways of

avoiding discomfort.

But if you get good at discomfort, you'll be ahead of most people.

Number 10 - Answer the Door

If you never answer to opportunity knocking, you miss out.

You need to take opportunities when they are presented to you.

It may not always seem like the right time, but it doesn't matter.

Opportunities just randomly happen and if you don't answer when it knocks, you might

miss a great opportunity or even a life changing one.

So next time you hear that knock, just answer!

The important thing to remember while trying to figure out what to do in life is to make

decisions and try things.

Even if they don't turn out to be what you expected, at the end of your life, you won't

regret trying things and failing, but you will regret not trying at all.

I hope you enjoyed this video.

Alone in a Haunted House // Howl-O-Scream 2017 - Duration: 5:11.

Hello, hello, hello my friends.

Kaitlyn here and guess what time it is?

It's Howl-o-scream time. Boo.

(Halloween music)

Oh my goodness friends last Friday on the first day of fall,

which felt more like Mid-July than late September.

I made my way to opening night

of Bush Gardens Williamsburg's Howl-o-scream.

You guys know by this point that Howl-o-scream

is one of my favorite times in the park.

Second only to the magic that is Christmastown,

and I got the opportunity to be one of the first

to check out some of their cool new spooks.

First on the docket was a little tour of their escape rooms.

Mr. Karver is back this year in all of his creepy glory.

Honestly the guy who plays Mr. Karver

deserves a theme park Oscar.

It is creepy enough being in there with the door open

and a bunch of other media people.

But I can't imagine being locked in there

trying to solve a puzzle while he is acting like this.

(laughing)

(hammering manically)

(shuttering)

The new escape room this year

is the case of the haunted hotel.

It is not quite as design rich as Mr. Karver's workshop,

but there are lots of locked doors

so I could imagine that as you solve puzzles it starts to

open up and be a much more interesting landscape.

Now here is where my day to a bit of a sour turn

because I pressed the wrong button on my camera

while filming here and corrupted my memory card.

Fortunately I didn't lose anything other than

a few years off of my life when I saw

the corrupt memory card message on my screen.

Uh uh! Why!? But whether my camera was on the fritz or not

we were off to Germany where the Curse of Darkastle

is out of commission for this season to make way for

evil icy creatures lurking in the dark

of the new haunted house "Frostbite."

So while my best camera was down for the count

I did still have my go pro.

So it is not the best footage because it was dark

but I got a few good moments of jump scares for you.

(Growling)

(screaming)

(screaming)

So I really like this house because they do some great stuff

with ice walls, and snow,

and I just think it was all super cool.

Funny story, because we are all media

and we tend to go through the house at different paces.

Like some people are slower and taking pictures

while others are faster.

And I got kind of stuck in the middle

all alone for a little while.

And so I was booking it through the house

by myself trying to catch up to my original group,

and boy was that terrifying.

I also don't do super well with strobe lights,

I'm always afraid I am just going to forget

which way is up and fall on my face

and someone is going to find me

just curled in a ball on the ground.

I'm all alone now.

(laugh/crying) Oh God!

I didn't mean to be left behind

(screaming)

Okay, there's one person.

I'm getting closer, and strobe lights are very disorienting.

Just keep walking...

Just keep walking.

Am I going the right way?

But I made it out alive, Hallelujah.

Finally the last new spook is the new "Terror-tory."

in New France called Axe Alley, featuring possessed vikings?

Evil spirits of dead vikings walking the land?

I'm not quite sure.

- Valhalla!

- Basically something bad happened to the vikings there

which is appropriate because New France is the location

of Bush Garden's newest roller coaster, the Invadr.

Which is viking themed too.

So vikings everywhere, this time just scarier.

After we had seen all the new stuff

I got to hang out with my friend Jenny and her family

and we did some of the haunted houses

before it got too busy.

Deadline, Circo Sinstro, Unearthed Scarlett's Revenge,

I can't...Unearthed Scarlett's revenge.

I think I am becoming more desensitized to haunted houses

because honestly like two, three years ago

I would have never willingly gone to all of those houses.

But it was actually really fun,

her kids aren't really scared by much so it is funny

if you see someone actually get a good scare in on them.

Basically I spend more time laughing at everything

than I do with being consumed with terror and nerves.

That makes the experience much more fun.

Look at you Kaitlyn all grown up

and doing the big girl haunted houses.

SO that my friends was my Howl-o-scream experience.

Woop Woop, Yeah.

If you want to get into the Halloween spirit

you can check out these spooks for yourself

at Howl-o-scream Bush Gardens Williamsburg

every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through October 29th.

Go out and get spooked!

What Are Letters of Administration? - Duration: 0:53.

What are letters of Administration?

Letters of administration are court certificates

that are proof that you have the legal authority

to settle the final affairs of somebody

who died without a will.

Let's talk about what that means in real life.

If somebody in your family dies without a will

and they own say, a bank account, or brokerage account,

or life insurance policy,

that didn't have a beneficiary designation,

then you need letters of administration

to collect those funds.

Why, do you ask?

Well, it's proof to the bank or the other institutions

that the court has reviewed the situation,

or reviewed the family tree, and made a ruling

that you are the one who has the legal authority

to collect those funds.

And that's why, in order to collect those funds

or your inheritance, you need to contact an attorney

and get your letters of administration.

Hope you found this helpful.

Kate Winslet reveals how often she weighs herself - and her answer may surprise you! - Duration: 2:42.

Kate Winslet reveals how often she weighs herself - and her answer may surprise you!

Kate Winslet has purposely avoided weighing herself for more than 12 years. The 41-year-old has often come under intense scrutiny in Hollywood because of her curvy figure.

And the actress has previously spoken of how she was advised to settle for the fat girl parts during her time at drama school.

However, in an interview with The Sun newspaper to promote her new movie The Mountain Between Us, in which she co-stars with Idris Elba, the mother-of-three admitted she has no idea how heavy she is, as she hasnt weighed herself since around 2005.

Kate made the admission as she discussed a scene in which Idris has to drag her from a stream. It was very hard on him, she said. I dont know how much I weigh.

I havent weighed myself in 12 years – top tip it is great for the mood. But pulling my body weight, plus soaking wet with water and those clothes – it was pretty rough on poor old Idris..

Since Kate became a star in 1997 movie Titanic, she has been body-shamed for her normal figure. In an interview with Harpers Bazaar she spoke about the pressure to be thin, and how she prefers puts her health and sanity first.

I so didnt want to be one of those: Oh, wow, shes back in shape after 12 weeks women, Kate insisted to the publication. When I read things like that, I just think: Oh, for f**ks sake, thats actually impossible.

If you spend too much of your time focusing on the wrong stuff, like how much you weigh, then you forget to enjoy the fun stuff, dont you? Im no stranger to the occasional dodgy juice, but it doesnt taste very nice and its bloody boring..

Hugh Hefner Net Worth 2017: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Hugh Hefner arrives at Stansted Airport on June 2, 2011 in Stansted, England.

The Playboy Mansion Was Sold for $100 Million in August 2016. The All-New 2017 Fiat 124 Spider at Playboy's 2016 Playmate of the Year Announcement at the Playboy Mansion on May 11, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.

A statement released by the organization at the time read, "All of us at Angelwish.org are thrilled to be the beneficiary of this amazing event thrown by iDonate Charity.

Tens of thousands of children living with chronic illnesses will benefit from the funds raised on February 12th.

We are especially excited that we will get to honor Mr Hefner with our 'Humanitarian of the Year' award for all his charitable efforts over the years and for allowing us to include him in this celebration.
