How to Make an Index js File for your Chatbot - Full Course! - Duration: 5:01.

Welcome back! So now the fun begins. We're going to be doing the index.js file

which is going to be the main file of your app and it's going to pretty much

have a lot of the stuff to Facebook suggest. So here this is a very important

place to come,

it's the developers portal for facebook and this gives you a

complete product overview of your bot and how it should be structured. So let

me show you a little bit about it.

So one of the things that facebook wants you to use is cards.

This is an example of a card, so you can see you have a picture, you have a

description, you have a title.

Here's a different type of card that has a whole a clickable button and then this

is an example of a order confirmation card right. Now here it is again, this is

with one of the more popular apps on here right now,

it's a weather app and you can see the difference between the cards right.

And you can have up to three options as a currently stand, so here is Zuck's

t-shirts he says, "Hey David we're looking for a comfort, style, focus" you can select

one of these and then the bot follows up with another with another message. So

this kind of gives you an idea of the structure of Facebook Messenger bots. I

would strongly suggest going and playing with a few of them just to so you see

kind of what it's like and right now the strong focus for Facebook is so the bots,

more than anything else, that they're like 'if else statements'. In other words,

you come into the bot

it greets you, it says hello gives you a welcome message and then it gives you

a couple of options. Option one, two, three, and then you select one and then it

gives you another few options and so on. So this right here is a great example,

you come into his t-shirt shop,

he says, "what are you looking for today: style, comfort, focus,"

and then you select one and it's going to give you more options and it's going

to have this feel like it's an interactive process instead of it being

you know, a static content. Now they provide some code examples for you and

especially when it comes to the cards. So here's an example for the app get

and how to do a webhook.

This is right on other sites and as these things changing over time you can

just come in here. So put all of it together and I have it in a file

right here

so taking this file copied it and then I paste it in here so not to jump ahead

but this is a Visual Studios.

When you first open a Visual Studios it's going to be blank and then it's

going to look like this.

So what you want to do is: file open and then find the parent app,

open it up and then it will open in here. So it's already have it open so I wont

do that. And then what you want to do is you want to come here you want to right

click new file and and call it 'index.js'

Now I've provided the sample code. I want you to copy it and paste it in here

and then you have this. So I'm going to kind of give you a high level idea of

what it is. A lot of the stuff is available also on the Facebook

developers page. So top of it is basically things like your body parser

that you downloaded earlier,

that's one of the dependencies, then you have your your web hook right here for

Facebook. And then you have you know this is spinning to the server,

this is the API endpoint and this part is pretty important.

So now this is where it gets interesting this is a this is one of the webhooks

and this is how it works. So anytime someone uses the text

'Aha' they're going to get three cards ok and then the cards going to be a little

bit lower and i'll show you those cards. So this is one of the the types of

functionality that is that you get it's almost like an if-else statement. If you

think about it, if someone says the word

'aha' they get these cards right and if they don't then what happens is we're

going to parrot back a message.

So here's the parrot back message functionality and now let's go down to

the cards again this is provided by Facebook and they have different names

for the card is called generic. And this is the structure of a card: you have the

title of a card, you have the subtitle of a card,

you can have an image URL, then you can have buttons.

So you can have up to three buttons right and you kind of have two different

options when it comes to buttons. A button could be a link that takes you

somewhere else or it could be what they call payload which responds

automatically back with the message. So based on this you can come in here and

you can create more buttons and you can have different payloads and most

importantly you can come in here and you can

also have different keywords that trigger different cards.

So this kind of gives you an idea. Let's move on to the proc file which is going

to be very quick!

A Great Light/LASER Combo For Your Handgun. - Duration: 15:55.

Hi. This is Joel Persinger. I'm the GunGuy.

Thank you very much for watching my

channel and my videos I really deeply

appreciate it

today I've got a weapon mounted light

for you i don't i'm gonna just confess

to you right now I'm not worked with

weapons mounted lights very much so this

is kind of a new thing for me i know

there's an old thing but you know I'm an

old guy and I i really have never messed

with him very much I've always had

handheld lights but OpticsPlanet was

kind enough to send me this is a

streamlight tlr-2 for weapons light

laser combination and it mounts on the

on the rail underneath your pistol

I've mounted it up and I played with a

little bit took it up to the rainbow

range and shot it a little bit met a guy

up there while I was at it and we had a

great time i'm going to talk about him

and it just a second but before I do I

want to do a shout-out to some folks

here who were kind enough to join

patreon to help us out i want to call

attention to them because they're

awesome

bruce b brandon s forgive me for leaving

the last names out i don't know if they

want me to assure them so just a

courtesy I'm not doing it

John M mark m chris g Michael W and

Richard teeth

thank you expect break from the bottom

of my heart thank you very much for

helping us out on patreon hopefully

you're enjoying the content there we are

on patreon and I'm providing some

premium content on patreon is only

available there so when we do new things

or we're talking about doing new things

we post them updates there are videos

that are coming

there's also some little you know

Instagram type posts that I do along the

way with pictures and that kind of thing

there's the audio podcast half-an-hour

pot audio podcast were released twice a

month on the fifth and the twentieth and

then some out take videos and

behind-the-scenes videos for pretty much

every video we do there actually are

some behind-the-scenes videos and now

take videos video clips from this

particular video that are going to be on

patreon only and that's available to

those folks we make that as kind of a

gift to them for helping us out thank

you very much for each and everyone of

you i really really do deeply

appreciated check us out on patreon if

you like there is a link in the

description now back to this

streamlight weapons light and laser

combo

so I'm at the range and where you know

we did some shooting with the guy that

with the the Garrow 17 HMR I posted that

you already and we went for the pistol

range we're going to really kind of ring

this out for the first time I shot a lot

sense or shot with a lot of sense and

while i'm there i walked up to me and

says hey i watch your channel we had a

nice conversation his name is Trevor and

I you know we just hit it off

immediately I want to urge you to do

that if you haven't seen me in a public

place

come on up and say hi please I doesn't

matter what i'm doing i want you to do

that just understand that I'm not a

movie star rock star or politicians

final i could you can catch me off guard

and I'm a little awkward so if you're

feeling awkward I'll be feeling awkward

awkward because it will work out just

fine but you let me get past the awkward

part it's weird it's new to me and it

and but please do that he did that and I

was like well do you want to be in the

video and he said sure so he was trained

with these at all not at all not at all

so you and I are both complete newbies

alright so this is what you call this is

what you call the blind leading the ok

we're going to do our best with it see

how it works obviously it's not twilight

because it's an outdoor range i'm going

to take a range and play and play with

the light a little bit but we're going

to mess with now is figure out can we

actually see the laser on the target at

this distance so little bit and then

we'll get your camera angle on that to

see whether you can see the laser and i

will let you know it works well for us

because one of the concerns people have

with later sometimes is you know I can't

see it during the day I'm going to be

completely real and I'll be completely

review if I can see my site I don't care

if i can see the laser can see the bad

guy and I get to the site that said

there are some quirky positions you

might end up like laying down you know

shooting under your car something that

somebody banging away at you don't you

can't get your ID behind the sights and

that where you want to see it during the

day this is a red line they do come in

green

my understanding is people can see them

better ingredients i don't know i think

for me I can't see anything right away

do you have a preference

I don't I won't tell you how colorblind

or red-green colorblind great are you

really okay that was hilarious because

they're not gonna it's not gonna show up

at all right let that sucker out let's

go to let's see let's see what happens

alright no more grind shots dude that's

below the belt literally guys now he's

got to say

alright here we go you ready

oh you gotta walk out that was an

eyeball shot on level

all right to the right but you got you

guys all right my turn

ok now it's my turn to embarrass myself

and I know you can't see the target but

will show you afterwards for my hips

were and when you hear him laughing

definitely this cackle behind me so

you're going to know what happened my

shooting ok deal right you're going to

go go

and if you'll head we're going to do

that I'm going to shoot one around the

head if I keep doing what you're in

charge not me right

ok do it with laser-like nope nope nope

no head

nope there you go

finally with my lab God line shot all

right he's dead ok so the question is

there staring at the target

I i think that the Blazer was a lot

different restriction adjusting a lot of

it a lot of adjustment I don't have any

experience shooting with the laser and

it's definitely different backup you

know truthfully achieved a couple times

to get the headshots I had to force

myself to try to definitely use the

laser isn't what you're telling me is I

was the correct answer honestly I don't

know what happened

I don't know how to say what I'm gonna

blame those areas shotgun that was later

gotta do I gotta do that either and i

like it i mean i think in a little

really low light I mean like you can see

it pretty clearly there i think yeah you

know your life situation where you even

with my treasure you know or or maybe

closed means we've got that about what I

don't know what is that 67 yards

yeah I would think so so you know if

you're really fighting for your life

it's probably going too far

so then your groups are going to be

better with the laser but you know i

like it i think in a low-light you know

adrenaline rush kind of situation the

laser could definitely be your friend

there were a few things we discovered

their one when you can clearly sure to

see the target and you really don't need

the laser if you are trained at all

you're naturally looking for the front

side you're just looking for the front

sight looking for the front side looking

for the front side and I discovered when

I went down to defeat you came range

that when it was darker and I could

actually just put the laser on their

focus on the target and then not

actually look for the laser but just

catching in my peripheral vision my

shooting was a lot quicker and a lot

more accurate when Trevor and I were

shooting we were actually having to hunt

for the laser because it was kind of a

bright day we were able to see it but we

have to look for it to get it on target

as opposed to focusing on the threat

like you wouldn't point shooting and

then just catching the laser in our

peripheral vision impressive trigger

started doing that at the pca range

shooting become a lot more accurate and

a lot quicker so I i discovered that

this was working with the laser now as

far as the light is concerned there's a

couple different ways to turn on this

light you can turn it on a momentary

with a momentary switch which if you're

right-handed your left thumb will catch

that switch and you can push it down and

the light will come on if you push it up

and rock it up and the light stays on

consistently and constantly until you

turn back off again but the momentary

on/off is a little rock downward now

what I discovered is with that with that

rock downward if i had the light on a

momentary on which is this little rock

downward right here

perhaps you can see it then

whenever I fired the gun my thumb

obviously came off of that because of

the recoil of the gun and the light went

off so if you want to have it on you

gotta push it up and get it all the way

on if you just have on that momentary on

the minute you press the trigger that

lights going to go away and you have to

realize you're going to have to push it

again with your thumb so that's a little

strange and i think it's a training

issue is learning how to use a weapon

mounted light now as I said at the

beginning of the video this is something

i've never been trained with which is a

weapons mounted light on a handgun it's

not something i've never gotten any

training with the little drill we were

doing was a frontside drill i learned

there but i can tell you i'm going to go

the next class I take i'm going to take

a class one low light and weapons

mounted light so I can learn more about

them because in my day we didn't have

weapons man delights what we had was

handheld light so i have a lot of

training with those and not so much

training with these so if you know a lot

about these and you probably know more

than i do then please go ahead and

comment and educate me because i would

love to know more about how to use this

light effectively i did find out that

there's that laser-light combo works

really well i like the idea that i can

light up with the threats and identify

it before i press the trigger but at the

same time I also have my laser there and

I can catch that in my peripheral vision

while I'm identifying this red so I know

it should hate this is a real threat

press the trigger this is not a real

threat keep my finger off the trigger

and get the weapon off that person this

is this is a good kind of want to shoot

that individual so having the light is

very powerful from that perspective

there are a couple of settings on it on

here there's a little toggle switch in

the back you can run it laser only light

only or light and laser it depends on

where you set up the toggle and the

adjustment for a7 getting things cited

in its really simple there's a little

allen screw that comes with it and

there's an elevation here in a windage

here it's really simple to adjust now

there are a couple of things I

discovered with it right out of the gate

that is I put up

yeah you know i'm a guy didn't have to

read the instructions what is that rule

when all else fails read the

instructions well it all else didn't

fail so I didn't when I put it on I just

turned this little mounting screw here

finger tight now I tighten up pretty

good but I just tighten its finger type

another when I went to go shoot it

I found that after the

after guns going off about 4-5 times it

was wobbling all over the place and even

though i had it cited in it didn't stay

that way and then i just typed it up

against finger tight again put in the

gun rug and we went and had lunch or

whatever went back to shoot some more

and you know what I guess what in the

gun rug because it got knocked around it

was no longer shine it in so it's

important that this gets tightened down

pretty darn tight otherwise it's not

going to stay cited in because you can

see there's a lot of leverage on it when

it gets pushed here or when it gets

pushed here and it's going to move the

darn thing around so you really want to

make sure that it's well tighten down so

that you keep your point of aim wherever

that laser is there are some companies

that make customs holsters for these

I've got one that's offered to make me a

custom holster once i got the light so

I'm going to contact them and let them

know if they're kind of to build me a

holster i'll review that as well

all in all I like the light but i can

tell you that it's going to take some

training on my part to get used to using

a weapon mounted light if you're not

used to it then it's going to take some

practice and i encourage you to go get

some training that's one of the best

things you can do for yourself is go get

yourself trained other than that I i

found it to be a really positive

addition to my pistol

it's an extremely well-made unit I you

know I can't grouse about the way it's

made the only thing i would say that I

wish it did that it doesn't do if i was

going to look at something that I wanted

to be ready for enough for a relatively

untrained person with a weapons mounted

lighter with a laser particularly the

laser is I really look for lasers to be

instinctive in their activation when i

pick up the gun and pointed out with the

laser on I don't want to have to think

about turning the laser on if I have to

think about turning the laser on then

it's probably not going to come on in

the heat of the moment unless I really

really really really really really train

that so that's that's the one concern

for me is I want that thing to be on

when i draw the when i draw the firearm

if it's on

I wanted to come on when it comes out

this is not going to do that you're

going to have to train to turn it on now

for a home defense gun which this is not

this is actually a carry gun of mine but

i do have a Glock that's a home defense

gun i'm probably going to put this on

yeah i hear a rattling

on the other end of the house and we've

got the kids or whoever whoever is in

the house is supposed to be there we've

got him in the safe zone and the doors

closed door on the phone the police and

I've got a handgun now or maybe this

will go to my wife's can I don't know

but we'll go on one of them and I've got

the shotgun we got a handgun out

yeah i'm just going to turn the light

the laser on because going to be pointed

at the door right and then if it comes

through the door and it doesn't have a

badge on it it's going to get shot as

long as it's not a family member and it

doesn't have its not displaying a bad

it's going to get shot so that's a

really great idea there because that way

it's already on the lasers on the lights

on i can identify my target the last

thing i want to do is inadvertently

shoot a good guy i don't want to shoot a

member of my family got to make sure

that I know where they all are

I certainly don't want to shoot a police

officer I my respect him tremendously my

family have a law enforcement history in

my family and a lot of my friends are

law enforcement so I don't want to in

any way risk shooting anybody that

shouldn't be shot and honestly don't

shoot anybody at all but if I do I want

to make sure i know that is so that's

why I light is incredibly positive if

you're looking at something like this

for home defense gun then this is

awesome

if you're looking at it as a carry

option i suggest you get a lot of

training to make sure that you can

actuate that laser and get that thing on

and get that light on when you want it

on and you do it you know habitually

trained it so much it's just automatic

like clicking the safety off on the 1911

it's just something you do the minute

the guns drawn and you don't have to

think about it otherwise you're probably

going to forget about it in the heat of

the moment so it's going to take some

training so great unit i like it a lot

I'm gonna put it on one of my you know

one of my house guns and probably i'm

going to order a couple more because

it's very inexpensive and get it right

at OpticsPlanet that you sent it to me

there is a link to the product in the

description so check them out at

OpticsPlanet when you get a chance and

also if you wouldn't mind that please

join the National Rifle Association a

lot of people are kind of sliding away

from supporting the NRA and supporting

gun grips now because that you know

president Trump is an office well that's

just the beginning

now is the time to go on off and so we

really need your help please join the

nra and help them out you can do it with

the link that in the description there's

also a little pop up here that will help

you get there if you have a gun for home

defense like this one or another

the fuse for home defense for

self-defense you carry a gun like I do

every day you're going to need to legal

assistance as well I strongly advise

second call defense that is the best

backup legal backup tech company that

I've been able to find it so when i use

and it's the one is just what I used to

protect my family and me that's what I'm

recommending to you check them out

second call defense there is a link in

the description and lastly please share

like and please subscribe for trying to

grow the channel and it's only because

of you that we have a snowball's chance

of doing so thank you very much for

watching the videos I'm very very

grateful that you do have a wonderful

week and best of all no matter what I

want you to please be safe

Hydro Handbrake Install How to DIY | Part 1 | Custom Mounting Bracket for BMW E30 - Duration: 4:53.

Today we're going to be installing a

hydraulic handbrake on my e30, and we're

going to show you guys how to do it!

I have made multiple brackets for this and

This is the first bracket we made. These

are just two pieces of metal that we had;

we just welded them together as close to

a 90 degree as possible. Now this didn't

fit my car. The hydro was actually

pressing up against one of my seats so we

decided to make another one. This one we

decided to make it sit a little bit

higher

This made clearance but then once we put

it in the car you could actually bend the

metal by just wang-jangling the hydo

so we're going to make a third one and

this one, hopefully, is going to be good.

To do this we're going to be cutting out

the pieces for the bracket and then

we're going to be welding it with my MIG

welder we already have the pieces marked

out with a sharpie and so we're going to

be cutting out this piece and using this

as the top of the bracket, and then this

bottom square is going to be the

part that mounts to the transmission

tunnel, and then these two triangles

right here are going to be little gussets

on either side

hopefully that will prevent it from

bending at all, and keep the hydro

nice and sturdy.

Trickshot! So we have all our pieces cut

out now and we're just going to clean

them up with the grinder and then we

will tack them down and weld 'em.

We're going to be drilling holes in these plates so we

have the mounting holes marked out

for how I want the hydro. This will be

the top plate, and then these guys

are where the bolts will be coming

through the transmission tunnel onto

this. So we are just bolting this in to my

car but you can also just weld it to the

side of transmission tunnel. It's up to you.

Okay so we got our pieces of metal

all cut out and have holes in them for things,

and so now we're going to just weld 'em, 'n stuff.

We've got the bracket all welded up and

now we're going to paint it.

We've got the hydro mounted now and we

have it bolted through the transmission

tunnel, and then it comes through here...

and it's [the bracket] brought up from the original mount.

[With] the original mount, the hydro set about

two-and-a-half inches lower than it is

now, and I mounted it on the opposite

side on - the passenger side - rather than

like, on the driver's side because that

way I can keep my center console because

this car is still my daily driver and so

I kind of wanted it, you know, out of the way.

It's good. So in our next video we're

going to be showing you guys how we

plumbed all of our lines, and uh, yeah so

make sure you like, comment, and subscribe

so you don't miss that.

Resources for Chatbots: Getting Users and Connecting with Bot Makers - Duration: 2:43.

Welcome to Resources!

This is a very, very, important lesson, a very important part of the course

because this is where you can get a lot of the files and a lot of the code that

you will be needing throughout this course.

So, in order to get this stuff, the best place to come is to the Chatbots

Facebook group and it's facebook.com/groups/AiChatBots. So,

once you come here

join the group and then all you have to do is you have to come to files and in

files we have everything made.

Let me explain what each of these things is: first here is the index.js file

this is for the parrot bot. So you can simply click on this and this is your

entire code that we use through the course and this is the basically the

parrot bot right here. And I don't want to go into the cold right now, cause

future lessons are going to be doing that, but this is where you can come and

get the code and you can just copy and paste it right into a notepad or

Visual Studios. The next file is the Procfile.

This is the Procfile. it's literally one line of code, very simple!

You can either copy and paste or you can write it yourself.

And then last but not least is this file, this is the workbook and a couple of

other resources. So here's a SlideShare, so which is right over here and a

tutorial on medium that I wrote. And I write these for this course.

So it's a great way to keep up with the videos and it also gives you all the

code that you need to complete this course and it gives you all the links

everything is in one place makes it very very simple so let me show you both of

those things.

This is the article on medium, on 'How to make a Facebook Message Chatbot' and we go

step by step, has links, has code snippets and it works beautifully in conjunction

with the videos. So here's your npm install, you can copy-paste, very simple

and here is the SlideShare

and you get the idea. So this is the place to come and do it is simply just

come to www.facebook.com/groups/aichatbots

and join and then you can come into the files.

Another place that you'll be able to get this is through our facebook

Aha Moment Labs page. You can just come on here and either go to the website and

look there for the resources or you can just send us a message.

We do have a bot on here, very simple you can just send a message and the bot

will respond and then we'll have links to some of these resources as well.

Please use the resources, makes life very simple. Thank you and see you in the next

class!

9 Common Phrases English Speakers Get Wrong - Duration: 8:29.

hi out there in YouTube land i'mDrew

Badger and in this video we're going to

cover nine phrases that are commonly

misused by both native speakers and

english learners

the first one is coming down the pike

and this is often misheard and misused

as coming down the pipe people will hear

this is not coming down the pipe because

maybe coming down the pike doesn't make

a lot of sense to many people but the

expression refers to a truck or

something coming down a Turnpike which

is a word for just a large road and

often this is a toll road but anyway

we're talking about something that is

describing a future thing or what's

coming very soon so to use this

correctly you're saying that something

is coming down the pike when you're

talking about the future next people

often say I could care less about an

expression when what they really mean is

I couldn't care less if you say I could

care less and this just means what what

people are trying to say anyway is that

they don't care about something at all

but this is just a common way of

expressing that basically you're saying

that you care about something so little

like this tiny amount if anything that

you could not care about it even less so

you care about it to such a low degree

or such a low level that you can't care

about it less or even more so it sounds

kind of like a weird thing but people

often use this in conversations even

native speakers they will say I could

care less which actually means you still

have really to care less about that

thing so the correct way of using this

is I couldn't care less about this so i

couldn't care less about what I wear

every day for work I couldn't care less

so for me maybe I work at home on my

computer I can sit in my underwear or I

could wear a business suit it doesn't

matter so I couldn't care less about

what I where I couldn't care less

next this is an interesting one to

circumvent the globe what people are

actually trying to say is to

circumnavigate the globe when you

circumvent something both of these have

the idea of circles so traveling around

something circumvent and circumnavigate

but to circumvent means to get around

something typically a problem that you

might have like I'm trying to circumvent

my boss at work maybe he's a

like stopping me from doing something I

want to do so i have to go to a higher

level than him at work but to

circumnavigate the globe means you're

actually traveling around something as

opposed to you're trying to like get

around the earth like it's an obstacle

so you want to circumnavigate the globe

where the Earth's as opposed to

circumvent it next this is a really

common thing that people mistake and

this is to pique your interest but we're

not talking about the peak like the peak

of a mountain or talking about peaking

like you're peeking through a keyhole in

a door we're talking about to peak and

to actually be interested

so when you're talking about this in

conversations there's really no

difference because all of these words

piqué piqué and piqué they have the

same pronunciation but when you're

writing these things you actually want

to use it correctly

often when people will be using these

mistakes in their conversations again it

doesn't matter because you can't hear

anything you can't hear the difference

but when you writing it

people read that and think wow this

person really doesn't know what they're

talking about

so when you're getting your interest

piqued by something it means you're

you're increasing your interest in

something maybe you see something really

interesting and you're looking at that

you're captivated by that thing it is

piquing your interest and use the

correct spelling with that when you

write pique pique next to jibe with to

jive with something to drive with just

means you find it agreeable so it's

something you agree with something you

have no problem with you jive with a

particular thing like maybe like a

presidential example maybe like you jive

with what Donald Trump says are you

don't jive at all with what Donald Trump

has to say or his belief but this is

often confused with jive with and when

people are speaking in a conversational

casual way they will often use these

things very quickly to jive with to jive

with to jive with I really jag with his

views next to nip something in the bud

but people often say this as to nip it

in the butt

so they're saying but like dutt like you

know your butt as opposed to a but which

is thinking about like the bud on a

plant if you think about a problem

that's happening you don't want the

problem to get big and become really

difficult to solve so you want to nip

it in the bud just like trying to

destroy a whole plant or a whole long

branch it's much easier to do it when it

is a small but so if you can think about

nipping something like taking a small

cut just like you're a gardener and

pulling the little buds off of a plant

before they become large it's the same

idea of destroying a problem or ending a

problem before it becomes too big to nip

something in the bud to give something

in the bud next for all intents and

purposes for all intents and purposes

now this is an interesting phrase

because really intent and purpose mean

the same thing but this is just a common

expression that describes well for all

the reasons we want to do something or

for all the reasons that something might

happen but what people will often say is

for all intensive purposes now this is a

different way obviously you're

pronouncing something a little bit

different but it changes the meaning of

it so instead of intent and purposes

you're talking about intensive purposes

which is like really strong purposes

which doesn't really make much sense

so if you're using this be sure to use

it correctly for all intense and

purposes for all intents and purposes

next this is another common one that's

misused by people self-deprecating vs

self-depreciating now to depreciate

something this is the opposite of

appreciate where were maybe thinking

about reducing the value of something so

it kind of makes sense in the situation

but we're talking about self-deprecating

which is actually the word when you

maybe you tell a joke about yourself or

say something bad about yourself like

wow my hair is looking really bad or

like my ears are too big so you're kind

of taking the opportunity to to maybe

humble yourself a little bit with

self-deprecating humor or to say

something that is self-deprecating to be

careful when you're writing these things

because often like the spell checker

you'll be using when you're maybe typing

something it will give you the correct

word because depreciate or depreciating

is a word both of those are actual words

so you need to make sure just like

another common example is talking about

more van or more than ye be made this

like made this mistake a lot when I was

younger when you're talking about i like

something more than

something else but people often type in

war then now you don't want to use then

in this because it doesn't make sense

for the situation but it is the correct

word so it often won't be checked with

spelling so be careful when you're

typing these things out that you go back

and review the spelling of them self

deprecating is what you should be using

next another common one hunger pains

this is often misspoken as hunger pains

like you've got pains in your stomach

and you feel hungry and you should eat

something

so it feels like this should be a

correct thing to say you feeling some

hunger pains of hunger pains but really

paying is the actual correct word and

this describes the same thing so this is

one of those situations where if you say

oh I've got some hunger pains nobody is

really going to correct you in a

situation but if you're writing this

you're trying to use it in a much more

professional way you should be using the

correct thing which is hunger pain

hunger pains

well that's it for this video I hope you

Test Your Bot - How to Make a Chatbot - Duration: 2:01.

Welcome back! Right now you should have an app, a messenger app up live that you

can actually message right to your page. So you can go to messenger, find the

corresponding page that you're associated with your messenger app. In

this case, it's Aha Moment Labs and you should be able to interact with it. So

when I go there when I type 'hi' it

the parrot says 'hi'. If I typed in anything else, that gets parroted back

too.

So, except there is there's one command that I've programmed that won't do that

and that is 'Aha'.

If i type in 'aha' this is what what you get: you get back these cards.

Ok, now these are cards are provided again by Facebook. So, there are two

different types of cards. One has a web URL and other one is a postback. A

postback is simply a response, so if you push post back, it says, 'postback received'

and you can make it say anything really.

Right. If you did web URL, boom it sends you to another page and then this is

another type of card. The second type of card

which is just a postback. It does not include the link. Now, as you can see

here you have a number of different different elements. You have a postback

element, you have a an element right here where you have it like a description, you

have a title and you just have the image and over here we have all the same

elements except there's also a web URL.

Now you may also be thinking well how many of these options can I include?

Right? Can I have one two three four five

post backs or URLs or combinations? And answers 3,

you can have up to three. So in both of these cases, there's one here and two

over here so let's say that you wanted to change this up

what would you do?

How to Set Up Chatbot Server - Full Chatbot Course - Duration: 7:44.

Oh next we're going to be creating the server. So setting up the server is very

simple but it has to be done right.

It's very very pivotal so what we need to do is install node.js. If you don't

already have it,

head over to nodejs.org install it and make sure it's running. Now, once it's

running, its actually going to be running and accessible through your terminal. So, it's

not something that you're going to have to open up and run. So once you've

done that, the next thing we're going to do is going to be installing the heroku

tool belt.

So in order to do that just head over to toolbelt.heroku.com and download and

install this as well.

Once you've done that we're going to be following these instructions.

It's very simple, you're going to come into your terminal

you're going to log in to heroku by following this command: it's

'$heroku login' and let me show you what that looks like in here going to press

Enter

It's going to ask you for your login your password once you've done that you

want to CD into your into your app. So you probably don't have an app folder

created, so we're going to create one right now, so let me show you what that

looks like. So before we can do that we need to go over some of the command

lines that you can be using right here inside of terminal. When you see this

character right here '~'

that means that you're in your home directory, so anytime you're curious

where is home

this will signify it. So once you're in this directory you can do certain things,

for example let's say we did the 'ls' command,

it's going to list out all of the folders that belonged to a root folder.

So we see we have: documents, downloads, dropbox, pictures, so on right.

If we want to see where we are in terms of everything else, like what folders are in

front of us and behind us and that sort of thing , we can use

'pwd' which going to print working directory and you can see we're in SMK

and in front of us its users.

So let's say that we want to go into one of these directories. All we have to do

is put change directory, which is 'cd'

then the name of the director, so let's say we put 'documents'.

I'll do you copy and paste paste it right here

you're more than welcome to do and boom were in documents and then you can see

right here were in document. So if you're ever curious where you are

just print, print out and you can see that we're in documents and that SMK is the

folder above us. So let's say we want to go back up to SMK how would we do that?

We would do: 'cd ..' that takes us right back in it and here we are.

So these are some of the very very high level of things that we can do with it.

So one of the other things you can do is we can create folders. So in order to

make a folder we all we have to do is go to 'mkdir'

which stands for make directory and then we create the name of the

folder so in this case we're going to call this parrot app or just call it

parrot,

so PARROT. If you want to create this in your right off of your

root folder you can go but in my case I want to create it in the

desktop. So , how am I going to do that? I'm going to come in and want to change directory,

go to desktop and boom now I am in desktop and then i'm going to make directory.

Right made directory and boom

I've made the directory! And now let's see if it's there.

It's right here you can see I in the list, node.js, Sandbox,

that's right there! So let's move into this to actually, do CD and also you want

to make sure that it's lower case!

So you don't want to use any upper case. Now we know that we are here in

'parrot' and just to make sure

boom you can see we are in desktop and in the parrot app. So let's say

that, just to give you another example it's right up here so we can see the folder

was created! So once we've done that now we can follow this. So make sure we're

in here and let's finish up to the heroku install. We want to do we want to 'cd'

into the app so we just did that and then we want to do '$heroku create'. Ok now

I already have the toolbelt but in your case you want to do '$heroku create'

You can also copy and paste it and I will provide this stuff and all of

the resources. So you can do a lot of copy pasting so boom and then just press

enter and boom it'll it'll let you go ahead and it will create that for you. So

once you've done that

the very next thing I need you to do is you want to get the latest version of

'NPM'. Now here's the command line for that its: 'sudo npm install npm --global' and

the way that looks something like this.

Enter it's going to ask you for your password so let me put mine in real quick.

Once you've done it, it's going to initialize, is going to go through all

these different processes going to install the Npm for you and make sure

that it's up to date. After we've done that, we're going to initialize git. What

does that mean? It's going to create a repository inside that folder so you

know we can create programs that sort of thing. So as soon as this is done

that's going to be the next step so

once you've completed this it's going to look something like that.

So let's do: 'npm init'. Boom there you go!

So now what it's going to do it's going to walk us through creating the

package. So right now the first things it is asking me as what do you want to call

your app? So I will call it 'parrot'. Then it's going to ask what's the version?

1.0.0 is fine

Description, you can add a description here, you can make it say whatever you want.

You can skip this just by pressing enter which is what i'm doing right. Now you

can add a your git repository to here. Keywords

again this is so people could find it more easily, also you could put your name

here,

license. And then say this look okay? Yes

and boom it's created for you! So let's do 'LS' just to see what's in this

folder. So now we know that in the 'parrot' folder we have the the package.jason

file in there. So once you've done this

good job so far! Now last but not least we're going to be installing the

dependencies.

So this dependency is called the 'body parser' and it's going to allow us to

manipulate how the messages look so it's going to parse them up so you can do a

copy and paste it in here or you can just follow along. Put 'npm install

express request: body-parser' and then just enter it and it's going to go

through this process

and boom. So now you have this dependency, very very important to have

this dependency!

So once you've done this, congratulations you have set up your server and you're

ready to move on to the next part! And once again thank you for taking the

class, I look forward to seeing you in the next one!

Making a Bot Full Course: Quick Review - Duration: 1:24.

Welcome back! So now it's time to trigger Facebook to send messages.

This is very simple thing to do, so get your page access token, from before. You

want to take that number, you want to copy paste into a notepad and then you

want to put it in here. And then you want to take this command, the curl command,

copy paste it right into your terminal and make sure you're in the right folder.

You want to press enter. Now I won't do that because I've already done this and

it's already connected.

Once you've done this, you want to press ENTER and what it's going to do, is it's

going to trigger Facebook to send messages!

So once you've done that, that was the last step. Now your bot should be

working!

Let's do a quick review, a quick checklist of everything that you've done

up to this point on the Facebook side.

You should have by now added a new Facebook app link to the Facebook page,

set up a web hook and put it

access token in your index file. And then obviously saved it and push it to heroku.

And then, just now, done the curl command and then again you want to save it and

push that to heroku as well. So, if you've done everything,

what you can do now is go to your Facebook page.

Ok, the corresponding Facebook page and send yourself a message and see what

happens next! So, it should work, it should be alive!

Let's move to the next lesson.

Exploring Chatbot Possibilities - How to Make a Bot Full Course - Duration: 3:03.

Oh it makes your app for more conversational, so let's see what this

looks like.

Here I used the animated gif you can see that looks pretty cool.

Now, it does not show up on the messenger app for the iphone.

I don't know why, maybe the gif is too big, maybe it's not sized properly

but it does show up on the web version which is kind of cool and you can see

here i added a number of different options. Let's say that we go to the

10 minute meditation,

what does it take us? Ok, takes us to videos,

the video link. And then we have sounds of nature, which is a payload, nope it's a

link too.

Sometimes I forget, so again these are links.

Let's see what that is, ok

boom. Ok see we just got a response back right

so

and this kind of gives you an idea of how a chatbot works. Very simple, very

easy, certain words trigger certain actions, responses ,cards and so on. And

then you can have certain methods that kind of like, the echo feature, the

parrot feature. So again you can come in here and you can manipulate it more

you could add more statements, are more words that trigger things like 'hi' in our case

trigered it, 'aha' triggered it.

One of the cool things you can do, is you can just come in here and you can play

with some of the other BOTS and kind of get an idea of how other people are

creating bots. And this is from CNN

you can put in words like 'Warriors' and will may give you stories about the

Golden State Warriors right.

You could read the story, you could ask CNN, if you read the story this is like a

link it's going to send you to the actual story. If you want to read it, if you

want to ask CNN, you can do that. And then usually, they have one more option which

is like snippets

but maybe they don't have on this version, ok we here it is: 'get

summary'. So boom and it gives you like a small little summary of the story and

then you could do more. So, here's an another example of a card that doesn't

have a picture, so you can see it just has the three options.

So again messenger bots are very cool. They allow you to communicate, it makes things

more interactive, it makes content interactive instead of static and that's

a huge huge shift. So once again thanks for being part of this course and I hope

you learned a lot and that you got your first bot up and now you can start

manipulating, creating cool new bots.

Once again thank you and we'll see you in the next lecture!
