Book Review: The Little Bookshop On The Seine - Intermediate - Advanced - Duration: 5:20.

Hello!

Today I'm going to do another book review for intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced

speakers.

Hey guys, I'm teacher Prix and I want to help you talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime

in English.

Guys, this is a love story.

Who would say?

In a previous video, I said that I'm not really a big fan of love stories and in my defense

I am not.

But, I wanted a change of pace, maybe it was my PMS and I decided to read this book

and after I read it I realized it would be very nice to make a video to talk about this book

to you guys, because there are things you can learn and it is actually a very relaxing

and fun story.

But let's get down to business.

The name of the book is "The little Bookshop on the Seine" and it is a very romantic

story if you don't know, this river is in Paris and it was written by Rebecca Raisin.

She has written many books like this one, so if you really enjoy reading romantic stories,

go for it, she is a really good writer.

This book tells the story of Sarah Smith.

She has a bookshop in a small town in the USA. She has a friend who also has a bookshop,

but guess what?

Not in America, in France, in Paris, the city of love.

One day, her friend from Paris has a brilliant idea.

Sophie, her friend from Paris, decided to offer Sarah a very nice business and life

opportunity, spend 6 months in Paris, working at her bookshop while Sophie, the friend from

Paris, would stay in America, taking care of Sarah's bookshop.

Pretty good deal, don't you think?

One nice thing about the book, well it is a small detail, the name of the bookshop in

Paris is Once Upon a Time.

I don't know if you have ever watched this show, but it is so beautiful, it is so cool.

So, if you haven't yet, you should also consider watching this TV show and learn some

really cool vocabulary.

One nice thing about the story is that Sarah doesn't go to Paris looking for love.

We may at first think, well she's going to Paris, she is going to meet the love of

her life, blah blah blah, No!

She actually already has the love of her life and his name is Ridge Warner and he is a journalist

The problem here in their relationship is that Ridge travels all the time.

So, Sarah, upset with this, decides to take a chance, to take a risk and go to Paris on

her own.

If you read more about the character you will see that this was a big decision for Sarah, it was

difficult for her to make this decision, to embrace this adventure and go by herself to

Paris.

She doesn't speak very much French.

She speaks a little bit, with time her French gets better, but considering the language

challenge, the barriers, her personality, she is a little bit shy, this all added to

the challenge of this trip to Paris.

So while she is in Paris she is going to learn a lot of things.

Well, the story focuses on this adventure, on Sarah's adventure in Paris but you also

learn a little bit about Sophie and about the employees that work at the bookshop in

Paris.

It is not always about Sarah, there are other stories in between.

One thing that I liked about this story is that it is not all roses.

Even though it is sweet and spice and romantic, it is not just about romance, you see some

bumps in the way, you know, Sarah struggles, she struggles with the business, because after

all she is taking care of a huge bookshop in Paris while her friend Sophie is taking

care of her bookshop which is not doing so well because Sarah is not really a businessperson,

she struggles sometimes, so life is going to be hard and earning the employees' trust

in Paris is also going to be a big challenge for Sarah.

So, I liked this, she had to become more mature in different aspects of her life, not just

a relationship and love and stuff, but other aspects as well.

One thing I didn't like and I have to tell you, I am reviewing the book, I'm not going

to tell you a lot but what I can tell you is that it is a love story so, you pretty

much know what is going to happen at the end.

There are things that surprise you along the way but at the end of the day it is a romantic

story, it is supposed to make you feel good.

So, If you are looking for something to cheer you up, choose this book.

I am sure it is going to be a nice one.

Well, what was the last book you read in English and I always ask you this question in my book

reviews because I want to see how much you are reading in English.

Reading in English is going to improve your vocabulary tremendously if you give it a try.

So I wanna know, what was the last book you read since the last time I made a video about

book reviews?

Let me know in the comments.

Don't forget to click like and subscribe to my channel.

Thanks guys and I'll see you next time!

Kubernetes - Local Testing - Duration: 6:31.

so you have an understanding of what

Kubernetes is and today you're

going to learn how to work with it

locally using minikube and build your

first kubernetes cluster for us to get

started working with kubernetes

locally we're going to use a utility

that the kubernetes team has created

called minikube which will spin up a

local cluster that we can interact with

in the same way we would interact with a

kubernetes cluster in the cloud

there are a few minor exceptions to how

this is going to be different but for

the most part it'll feel very much the

same before we can get started with that

though we need to install the kubectl

command which this is the kubernetes

command-line client so you're

going to come down here and install just

a binary copy the curl command for your

particular operating system and then

paste this it'll download the binary

which is prepackaged now that we have it

downloaded we're going to make it

executable and then finally we're going

to move it into our path so I'm going to

put it in user local bin and now I can

actually use the kubectl command line

the next thing that we're going to do is

we're going to come to the releases

section of minikube and we're going to

grab the latest one here it has similar

curl instructions to the way that the

kubectl worked so we'll just grab this

and paste it and this has the moving

baked in but I don't want to use sudo so

I'm going to back that out and then run

this now that we have minikube

installed we can start it with minikube

start this will build a local

kubernetes cluster in a VM like i said

i'm using VirtualBox go to the mini cube

README to figure out what you need to

have installed but if you've been

working with Docker. you should have any of

the VMS software necessary installed

already with minikube started and our

cluster running we can now actually

create our first deployment inside of

kubernetes so underneath

deployments our pods which are

essentially the the services that you're

used to looking in docker-compose like

they hold on to that extra information

like what kind of network connections do

you need and what are the volumes that

you access and what images do you run so

that's underneath the deployment and

then the deployment is in charge of

running that so

if you think about it that way we can

use kubectl run and then this will be

the name of our deployment not

necessarily what's underneath it we're

going to call webserver and then we

have to give it an image in this case

since we're not using a pod file yet and

we're going to use the nginx:alpine

image just because it's small so that

created the deployment I already had the

image downloaded it didn't have to do

that for me let's take a look at what

the deployment actually looks like we

can use kubectl get and then each of

the resources inside of kubernetes

can be accessed this way so you can get

at pods or we're going to look at

deployments right now so get deployments

and you'll see that we have one we

called it webserver and it's currently

available and it's been up for about 40

seconds now if we do the same thing with

pods we can see that underneath we have

a single pot called webserver with this

extra stuff and this is because we

didn't create a named pod we used an

image for it so it created this for us

and we're only running one and it is

currently running so the neat thing

about deployments is that they're in

charge of keeping your pods running so

if we grab this particular pod and we

use another kubectl command of delete

and we delete a pod it's going to be

this particular one and then we look at

our pods again you'll notice that it's

not the same one it has a different sha

on the end and that's because the

deployment was in charge of spinning

that back up having a pot is great but

it's not super useful unless we can

actually access it so the way that we're

going to access this is by creating a

service and the kubernetes command

to do that is going to be exposed so

we're going to use kubectl expose and

we want to expose the entire deployment

named webserver and we're going to give

it a type and call it LoadBalancer that

way if we had multiple pods running

inside this deployment it would be load

balanced them for us and then we're also

going to map the port 280 if we look at

our services now using get services we

have it running and this is one of the

areas where it's going to be a little

different running here than it would be

in the cloud and that is we can't really

have an external IP there's not going to

be anything here that we could connect

directly to this port 80 if you were

using this exact same command in

something like Google Cloud

or AWS it could actually give you an

external IP and you could connect to

that directly so in our case we need to

connect to this port but that's a little

bit weird because we also have to go to

the IP address for our minikube

thankfully minikube provides a single

short command in order to give us access

to their services so if we say minikube

service and then you give it the name of

the service which is webserver in our

case and then you just want the URL this

will print out the IP address of the

minikube VM and then the port that they

mapped your service to so if we copy

this and we go and open it in our web

browser we see the Nginx default page

so that's your first deployment you

deployed an Nginx image inside of

kubernetes and have it load balance

behind a service we went through that

kind of fast and there are quite a few

little parts behind kubernetes and

something that it might be useful to do

is to kind of visualize those thankfully

kubernetes can have dashboards in

front of it and minikube comes with one

such dashboard so if we say minikube

dashboard it will actually open it for

us and we can take a look at all of our

deployments pods and even services in a

visual manner here that was a bit of a

whirlwind tour of using minikube and

kubernetes locally but if there are

things that you take out of this just

know that the kubectl command line

builds and kind of a sentence structure

so 'kubectl get' will give you access to

the the types of resources that goober

identities has pods deployment services

etc 'kubectl delete' will do a similar

thing if you want to get rid of them so

if we want to get rid of our web server

we could say 'delete service webserver'

now if we 'kubectl get services' you'll

see that it's no longer there that was a

pretty quick tour of kubernetes and

minikube but I hope you learned

something from this if you enjoyed this

video then don't forget to like it and

give it a thumbs up and share with your

friends if you want to leave some

comments below and tell me how you're

going to be using kubernetes and

what is the first project you're going

to use it with is. Have a nice week!

CREAMY WHITE CHICKEN KOFTEY// HOW TO MAKE WHITE KOFTA - Duration: 11:19.

Assalam o alaikm

viewers today i am gonna share with a avery delicious recipe

today i made white creamy kofta with chicken mince

creamy kofta for 2 reasons first these are super creamy and soft from inside and second we obviously use some cream in it :)

so lets note down the ingredients we need first

for kofta we need 1/2 kg very fine chicken mince

i cut a whole chicken breast in small pieces and then chop it in my chopper machine

we need 1/2 bunch of fresh coriander

green chilies 4 to 5 or as much as you like

juice of 1 lemon

1 inch piece r or 1 tbsp ginger

1 med onion

1 tsp ginger/garlic paste

this is poppy seeds and chick peas paste ,we need 2 tbsp

and 1 tbsp for gravy because we do not add coriander pwd in it so we need some thing to thicken the gravy

other then that

the spices we need are

cumin pwd 1 tsp leveled

1 tsp leveled salt

1/2 tsp black pepper pwd and 1/2 tsp white pepper pwd or to taste

and this is the special ingredient that is must in this recipe is coconut milk pwd

it is mostly available in sachets but if you don,t have pwd soak coconut in hot water for 30 mins and grind to make a paste with khus khus

the ingredients for the gravy are almost the same

I will add 1 tbsp khus khus and chick pea paste in the gravy

cream 2 to 3 tbsp or as much as you like

1/2 cup yogurt

1 med size onion for frying ,i,ll just slightly brown the edges and immedietely grind it with yogurt

12 almonds soaked them in hot water and make a paste

1 tsp g/g paste

1/2 bunch fresh coriander chopped

green chilies to taste

ginger 1 tbsp julienne for garnishing

and almost same spices we need for the gravy

except coconut milk powder

salt, cumin pwd, black pepper pwd and white pepper pwd are all 1 tsp goes in there

chop ginger,onion,green chilies and coriander

put mince in a big bowl

and add chopped veggies in it

add ginger /garlic paste

2 tbsp yogurt

2 tbsp khus khus and chickpeas paste

juice of 1 lemon

and add all spices

mix nicely

so i mixed it well and you can see it is very sticky and soft

you need same

if you chopped your mince and all ingredients with very little water this mixture would be thick and dry

and koftas would be very hard

if your mince is dry add little water in it

it should be like that

very sticky and soft

now set it a side and prepare gravy

preheat less than 1/2 cup oil in a pan and andd onions

fry onions till edges gets nice light brown color

when edges starts getting brown i will remove it from the pan and blend it with yogurt

so you can see the edges, this much brown color we need

remove it from the pan

turn your stove on low because oil is very hot at this point

now add ginger/garlic paste

with little water (4 tbsp)

add all spices with it

cook the spices in this water till all water evaporate

i like it little spicy so i am adding 2 green chilies chopped but you can use green chili paste instead of it

spices are cooked in 1 minute

now add all pastes in it.1 tbsp khus khus and chick peas paste

and 2 tbsp almonds paste

mix them well and add 1/2 cup water to cook them properly

so reduce the flame and wait for a boil then cover the lid and cook 4,5 minutes

mean while make paste of fried onions and yogurt

so this paste is cooked nicely

now add onion yogurt paste in it

first we will cook all paste completely then add kofta in it

mix it well and stir occasionally

to avoid burning of almond paste

now cook it properly and stir time to time

cover the lid and cook 2,3 minutes more

yogurt is cooked and oil ouzzes out on top

now its time to add kofta in it

so add 1/4 cup water first , wait for a boil and then add kofta

give it a boil

prepare kofta first then add in the gravy

apply some oil in your hand and make balls as big as you want

make layer of meat balls (kofta)

its done now swirl the pan with the help of a kitchen towel

now cook them on medium flame for 15 minutes

they will release their water and will be cooked then i will show you

koftey are ready but little water should be redussed more

now add cream

take 1 tsp for garnishing

mix them as shown

add green chilies and fresh coriander

slit green chilies are also goes in

turn the stove on low

keep it simmering for just 2 minutes and when oil comes out on top,its ready to serve

you can adjust the consistency of gravy according to your taste, make thick or thin its totally up to you

so our supremely tasty white creamy koftas are ready now

it is a delicious dish for serving in dinners and parties

so try it and give me your feed back

So. We've got a couple questions. First...

How's everybody feelin' today?

How's everybody doin'?.

[Wes] Everybody feelin' good? [Kimo] Good, good. [StingShark] Alright, yes.

Chillin'.

Chillin', right? Chillin? Everybody have a good weekend?

Yeah.

I've had better.

You've had better?

Just kidding. Best.

[Wes] Well... [Parzival] Seahawks...

There it is, right? Right?

I took my own photos at JC Penny.

Oh, yes. We discussed that! Good time?

Yeah it was awful.

[Wes] It was awful? [Kimo] Yeah. Yeah.

What happened? Tell... Elaborate, just for a second.

Well... It was my girl and my dog...

And, um, we had a living social.

Uh, and uh, it was super offended, that we were there to take family photos. So... [mumbles]

Oh. Sounds like fun anyway.

We left.

That's the stuff!

Pictures none the less.

Yeah, my girlfriend won't talk to me.

The stuff music was written about!

Can we talk about something else?!?

Yeah. Absolutely, Absolutely.

How to get 90 Years OR OLDER - Duration: 5:34.

Living a healthy lifestyle is not easy.

It can be hard to say no to a can of soda or a larger portion of French fries, but resisting

these temptations will bring you great benefits.

The sooner you start to treat your body properly, the better your chances of living a long and

healthy life.

In fact, researchers from the University of Gothenburg figured that 90 percent of the

population could live up to 90 years or older.

You can increase your energy levels, maximize your potential at work and sleep better.

It is true that health is partly determined by our genes, but it is important to develop

healthy habits from your genetic makeup.

You cannot change your DNA, but you can change your lifestyle.

And your lifestyle itself has an impact on your genes!

Lecon°n1: Small lifestyle changes can have a great impact and increase your chance of

living a longer life.

There is one question you should ask yourself before you eat something: Is that a net gain

or a net loss in terms of nutritional value?

People go on diets thinking they reach a certain end point.

For example, they could help you lose ten pounds by avoiding carbohydrates for two months.

Diets are therefore short-term; They are not enough for a healthy lifestyle.

Long-term healthy eating means considering for yourself whether your food has a positive

or negative effect on your body.

Overall try to eat foods with a ratio of at least one gram of protein to every gram of

carbohydrates.

Meanwhile, some foods should always be avoided, such as potato chips, which have over 20 grams

of carbohydrates for every gram of protein!

Lecon°n2 : Pay attention to every bite you take: eat more proteins and less empty carbs

When it comes to staying active, going to the gym every two days is not enough; You

must also limit your inactivity.

Chronic inactivity is a great risk in the modern world, because many people have jobs

that require sitting all day at a desk.

This only adds to our other inactive hours, in which we sleep, drive somewhere or watch

TV.

If you sit for more than six hours a day, your death risk increases at a rate similar

to the risk of smoking.

So try to be active in your daily routine by customizing your habits.

It is more effective than irregular exercise and it is also easier!

It's okay to start small.

The idea of "getting in shape" could sound hard, but taking the staircase instead of

the elevator is easy.

Lecon°n3 Limiting the time when you're inactive is even more important than exercise.

Few people get a good amount of sleep these days.

Sure, we're all busy - but sleep is a thing you should never neglect.

In fact, studies have shown that losing only 90 minutes of sleep decreases your alertness

by a third.

Think of it this way: Who would you prefer to fly in a plane with a well-rested pilot

or a pilot who stayed up the whole night learning landing techniques?

The most powerful people tend to have healthy sleeping habits.

You may have heard of the famous study, which found that it takes 10,000 hours of practice

to become something brilliant.

But did you know that the same study also found that top performers average eight hours

and 36 minutes of sleep every night?

By comparison, the average American sleeps only six hours and 51 minutes on weekdays.

Sleep is an important part of achieving your goals, so do not write it off as a sign of

laziness.

Lecon°n4: Getting sleep is an important part of a healthy and productive being.

Would you give your child a cigarette?

What about a sugary snack?

Maybe you have answered "No" to the first question and "yes" to the second, but cigarettes

and sugar are more similar than you think in terms of the damage they can cause the

human body.

Sugar is a toxin and it is very unhealthy.

It promotes diabetes, obesity, heart disease and cancer.

Sugar in processed foods is always unnecessary - healthy foods like vegetables and fruits

already contain enough natural sugars as they are.

A Harvard University study found that sugary drinks contribute to 180,000 deaths each year!

Some nutritionists even call sugar "sweets for cancer cells" because it accelerates aging

and inflammation and in turn fuels tumor growth.

Sugar is also addictive, which means that it should be treated like any other drug.

It is important to keep it under control so that it does not control us.

Lecon°n5: Sugar is a serious health hazard and should be treated as a controlled substance.

Have you ever felt tired, even after sleeping for nine or ten hours?

Since sleep is such an essential part of your health, it is important to sleep efficiently.

Efficient sleep is the time when you really sleep, and not just turn around in bed.

The Rapid Eye Movement (REM) phase is the most important part of efficient sleep.

This is when your brain processes your thoughts and memories.

There are a few strategies to use to get enough REM sleep.

First try an app called "sleep cycle" or any similar app.

It will measure when you are in REM sleep and wake you up at the perfect time.

You should also limit your exposure to artificial light before you go to bed.

Artificial light has a negative effect on your melatonin, which plays a key role in

regulating your sleep cycle.

Lecon°n6: Quality is just as important as quantity when it comes to getting a good night's

sleep.

XOXO

To prepare our face for our make-up, we will first apply primer.

Later, to apply our foundation we will use a new acquisition, the silisponge,

and the dream liquid foundation from Maybelline

Once the foundation has been applied with the Silisponge

we will do our contour with a foundation stick from Maybelline in a toffee color

We will continue by highlighting the high points of our face with Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer

Blend the product with the same silicone sponge used for foundation.

To set the previous steps, we use Wet n Wild's contouring palette in Dulce de Leche

For our eyebrows, we will define and shape them with a powder from NYX Cosmetics in Brunette

For our eyes, we will use the Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay

I am aware that it is a bit expensive, which is why I have provided a dupe in the description.

We will apply the shadow Tease with a blending brush as a transition color.

To add more depth to the crease, we will use the Busted shadow

And to finish off the smokey eye look, we will apply the Black Out shadow in the outer V

The center of the eyelid will be illuminated with an eyeliner from NYX Cosmetics

We will use the Busted shadow once again to define the inferior part of our eyelashes

Finally, we will illuminate our tear docks with the Berve eye shadow.

To coat our lashes, we will use Loreal's Voluminous Butterfly mascara

We will line our inferior water line with the same eyeliner from NYX cosmetics

We continue to apply Wet n' Wild's blush in pearlescent pink

with a stippling brush from ELF to provide a natural look.

To illuminate our face and the entire look, we will use Wet n' Wild's highlighting stick

We blend the product with the Silisponge

For our lips, we will use a lip liner and lipstick in Lumière from ColourPop

We will finish off our look by setting the make-up with a setting spray from NYX Cosmetics

5 famous facts of Men Sexual Weakness - Duration: 3:28.

hello guys! welcome to natural cure tips.

our today's topic is about, which 5 hobbies are effecting our sexual health,

even penis size also.

1st. you are Not doing exercise.

Men who exercise more have better erectile, and sexual function.

In the study, nearly 300 men self-reported their activity levels, which researchers categorized

as sedentary, mildly active, moderately active, or highly active.

The participants also self-reported the quality and extent of their sexual function, including

their ability to have erections, orgasm and the quality and frequency of their erections.

The resultspublished in the Journal of Sexual Medicineshowed that men who reported

more frequent exercise (about 18 metabolic equivalents or METS per week; or the equivalent

of 2 hours of strenuous exercise like running or swimming; 3.5 hours of moderate exercise;

or 6 hours of light exercise) had higher sexual function scores.

Conversely, men who exercised less, reported lower levels of sexual function

2nd. smoking.

Nix the nicotine.

A British Journal of Urology study of 65 men, enrolled in an 8-week quit program,

were brought in for erectile testing before the quit date, halfway through the program,

and one month after the programs conclusion.

Twenty percent of the participants confessed to having erectile dysfunction, and by the

end, 75 percent of these men who stayed nicotine-free had wider, firmer erections and reached maximum

sexual arousal, effectively diminishing their erectile dysfunction.

3rd. short on sleeping.

A 2011 study from the University of Chicago, even found that men who get less than five

hours of sleep a night for a week, significantly lower testosterone levels, than those, who

get about 7-9 hours of sleep.

Your hormone levels can drop to that of someone 15 years older.

so it means, sleep time below 5 hours, cause lower sperms quality and quantity.

4th. skimping on watermelon

A 2008 Texas A&M University, study found an ingredient, in watermelon, called citrulline-arginine,

helps relax blood vessels, by boosting nitric oxide in the same manner, as Viagraeffectively

treating erectile dysfunction, and maybe even preventing it.

5th.

You're eating too much junk

In short, junk food is bad for your junk.

A 2011 Harvard study found that men, who indulge in processed foods high in trans fats (cookies,

Service Portal | What's in a Portal - Duration: 6:38.

In this video, we look at service portals, their components, and the difference between service portals and the Content Management System, or CMS.

Click an item to go directly to that topic.

Or continue watching to cover all topics.

Service portals provide an intuitive interface for end users to access specific platform components.

For example, this service portal provided with the base system allows users to…

…order something from the service catalog,…

…search the Knowledge Base,….

…get help,…

…ask a question in the community, and more.

A service portal consists of these components: the portal configuration, pages, widgets, and widget instances.

We'll see how these fit together later in the video.

First let's deconstruct a service portal to see what's in it, starting with the portal itself.

The system stores portal configurations in the sp_portal table, accessible from the Portals list.

Here we can see all of a portal's properties.

But how can we see what's in this portal?

In Service Portal Configuration, we can access the same properties in the Portal editor, that displays a user-friendly graphical overview of the structure of the portal.

Just select a portal from the menu, and click a portal component to view or edit its properties.

The URL suffix field sets the value appended to the instance URL that that will access that portal; in this case, S.P.

Here you can select the homepage for the portal from all of the pages in the system.

You can also upload a logo image…

…and specify a theme.

And this is where you set the header, or Main menu, for your portal.

You can also define which knowledge base…

…and service catalog the portal will use.

Now let's look at the next component of a service portal — pages.

The system stores page records in the sp_page table.

In the page record, you define the layout and content of the page, consisting of containers rows and columns.

When we open this page, we can see that it has one container here,…

…with one row and two columns.

Page specific CSS styles can be defined for the page as well.

To see what the page looks like, let's use the Try It option.

Notice that a list of options displays, with a link to each portal that uses this page,…

…with the page ID appended to the end.

This page ID is also appended to the instance and portal URL, providing the complete URL to a portal page.

This demonstrates an important point — pages are portal agnostic.

This means every page is available from every portal.

Think of the portal as providing a "wrapper" for each page that it uses, including the theme, header, and menu.

Back on the page form, we click one of the page links to see the page as it renders for that particular portal.

To see what's in a page, we can open the page in the Page Editor here…

…or return to Service Portal Configuration, access the Page Editor, and select the page from the menu.

Here we can see the graphical overview of the structure of the page, just like we saw earlier for the portal record.

Now let's look at widgets, the reusable components that provide most of the functionality within a service portal.

The system stores widget records in the sp_widget table.

Widgets are created using HTML...

... CSS...

... Client controller or client script...

... and server script.

Widgets have their own built in editor, accessible here,…

… or from Service Portal Configuration.

The Widget Editor allows you to develop widgets in ServiceNow using the AngularJS framework, which includes an HTML template, model, and controller.

Now let's look at widget instances.

Adding a widget to a page creates a new widget instance.

Widget instances map widgets to a location or a column on the page.

They also store configuration options that allow you to configure the behavior of an individual instance of that widget.

For example, this instance of the Simple List widget…

…displays records from the Catalog Item table…

…that meet these conditions,…

…and the Display field is Name.

Now let's compare Service Portal with CMS.

Both provide you with a way to build custom interfaces for end users, but here's some important differences between them.

First, there's the underlying technology.

Service Portal uses AngularJS, a common JavaScript framework.

CMS uses Jelly, which is not widely used and therefore difficult to find resources.

Second, let's compare functional elements.

All of the functional elements in service portal are widgets, as opposed to CMS,…

… which has many types of functional elements including content blocks, content types, iFrames, UI macros, etcetera.

Third, let's look at the visual layer.

Service Portal is a self-contained app on top of the ServiceNow platform that essentially creates a visual layer between the user and the content.

The visual layer allows for better control of the styling and responsive design.

CMS, on the other hand, uses iFrames, which are notoriously difficult to work with, limited in terms of styling, and susceptible to upgrade issues.

And lastly, Service portal is designed to provide the same user experience across all devices, including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.
