The Diet That Helped Me Conquer Cancer - Jordan Rubin - Duration: 3:33.

Ty Bollinger: One of the most fascinating things about what you just said to me was

about the importance of the fats.

There's a lot of fats in many things, but you mentioned the fats.

There's so many diets that we hear.

Stay away from all of the fats, but it sounds like that was an integral piece of your food

that you were eating during that 40 days that helped you

to heal. Jordan Rubin: Absolutely.

I was easily consuming 12 raw eggs a day, I consumed what would be the equivalent of

sticks of raw butter.

And mind you, I'm an organic farmer, so I have access to the best of the best.

I believe that fats not only nourish the body,

but I believe some fats—fats from avocado, fats from

eggs—act in a sacrificial way to remove fat soluble toxins like metals and other toxins

we've been exposed to and that's really critical.

Most people think of detox as green juice and I drank plenty of it.

Drank coconut water—lots of raw cleansing juices.

I had a tomato and cucumber drink with unheated honey and all kinds of amazing

nutrients added, but fat is absolutely the key and it was for me and I've seen it work

for others.

Not to say that a juice cleanse or various fasts

don't work, but in my case, I feel very strongly about the

consumption of raw fats if you're going after this dreaded disease that is beatable

called cancer.

Ty Bollinger: Yes, it's interesting that you did it from the perspective that worked

for you.

That diet works for you.

I think it's important for people that are

watching to know that you treat it on an individual basis.

But I think that many things—many of the takeaways

that you can get from what you just said are number

one, you've got to believe—and number two, you've got to not have a victim mentality—to

see that you are already a cancer conqueror.

I love that term.

Do you mind if we use that?

Jordan Rubin: Absolutely.

Survivor means you're barely hanging on.

You're thriving, you're conquering.

That's what it takes.

This is a big game here.

This is the big game.

Get ready for it.

Gird yourself up.

Don't let anyone around you who is going to say, "Oh, but

you have cancer, how long do you have to live?"

I did not allow anyone in my life to speak death over

me.

The doctors that spoke death, were no longer my

doctors.

Relatives who spoke death, temporarily, were no longer my relatives—if you know what

I mean. Ty Bollinger: Yeah.

Jordan Rubin: Get yourself an inner circle that supports you and believes you and go

after this thing with gusto.

But the universal truths here are, believe, have

faith, and get that bitterness out of your body.

I don't care if you use oxidative therapies, I don't care

if you are using hyperthermia, I don't care if you're going to use

all of these different various frequency machines.

There are all kinds of good things to do, but you've

got to believe, you've got to have faith, you have to speak the truth.

You can't accept this diagnosis as your life.

This doctor with a stethoscope and a lab coat does not know your future.

He is not God, she is not God.

But there is a God and He has already conquered sickness and death and my results prove that

in my life and I believe it can in so many others.

Ty Bollinger: Amen brother and you know what?

Cancer Conqueror, this is the last episode and we're going to call it

"Cancer Conquerors" now.

I love that.

I'm giving you credit now.

Jordan Rubin: All right.

Ty Bollinger: I'm ready for that. Thank you so much for sharing brother. Great information.

10 Surprising Foods to Make Your Bones Stronger - Duration: 12:00.

Strong and healthy bones are an essential part of a healthy body, allowing us to avoid

osteoporosis and increased risk of fractures and breakages as we age.

Everyone knows that dairy products are rich in calcium, and calcium is good for our bones,

and this is important because 99% of our body's calcium is stored in our bones.

But the bigger picture of bone health includes a whole range of nutrients that work together

to create strong bones that will last a lifetime.

Check out some of the 10 foods below that contain vital nutrients that boost bone health

and keep you strong and healthy – some of them may surprise you!

Sardines While fish might not be the first food you

think of when it comes to building bone strength, the under-appreciated sardine is a tiny powerhouse

of bone building nutrition.

The healthy omega-3 fats found in sardines are not only beneficial for arthritis and

heart disease, there's emerging evidence that omega-3 fats may slow down bone loss,

such as the kind that occurs in osteoporosis.

Sardines are also a good source of Vitamin D, which works hand in hand with calcium to

build strong, correctly formed bones.

While we normally think of getting vitamin D from sunlight, sardines are one of the rare

food sources of vitamin D, perfect for those of us who don't get a lot of sun.

And don't neglect to eat the tiny soft bones that come inside sardines.

These bones are a good source of calcium that's an alternative to dairy, and their soft nature

makes them safe to eat.

Sardines are also a source of phosphorus, another mineral that helps to strengthen bones.

These little fish sure pack a punch!

Try sardines on toast or crackers with a topping of your choice, or on salad with a garlic

and herb vinaigrette for a delicious and healthy snack or lunch.

Spinach Green leafy vegetables like spinach are natural

plant sources of calcium, but that's not all.

Nature has expertly blended a host of bone healthy nutrients in our leafy greens, with

magnesium, vitamin K, vitamin C and phytonutrients all provided together in spinach giving us

a total package for bone health.

The little known Vitamin K is an especially important component of spinach, as a deficiency

in this vitamin has been shown to lead to increased risk of bone loss.

Therefore, scientists are recommending us to maintain adequate levels of vitamin K in

order to prevent the risk of developing osteoporosis and to decrease the risk of bone fractures.

Half a cup of cooked spinach provides 500% of your daily requirement of vitamin K, so

you can be assured spinach will meet all your vitamin K needs.

There is some concern over the content of oxalates in spinach which can negatively affect

bone health by leeching calcium out of the bones.

But lightly cooking, boiling or steaming spinach before eating helps to remove some of the

oxalates and preserves the vital nutrients for a delicious and healthy accompaniment

to your meal!

Tofu You mightn't think of tofu as a calcium

rich food, but in fact tofu and its main ingredient soya beans, are good sources of calcium.

Tofu is a versatile and highly nutritious food, which is also rich in protein, iron

and other bone healthy minerals like manganese, selenium and phosphorous.

Tofu and soy milk, whether fortified with extra calcium or not are excellent sources

of non-dairy calcium, providing a lactose-free alternative to milk with soy milk, tofu desserts

and even ice cream based on soy.

One cup of firm tofu contains an incredible 832 mg of calcium, compared to 304 mg of calcium

in a cup of regular milk.

Tofu comes in both firm and soft varieties, and is a delicious ingredient perfect for

a stir fries and Asian style dishes.

Fry lightly before adding to fresh, crunchy vegetables in a stir fry, or add some brown

sugar to soft tofu for a traditional Chinese dessert that's not only delicious but good

for your bones, too.

Nuts Nuts are not only delicious, but they are

well-known for being tiny powerhouses of essential vitamins, minerals and healthy fats, so it's

not really a surprise that they're good for our bones, too.

Almonds are a fantastic source of the bone strengthening mineral magnesium, providing

20% of the recommended intake, and they are also the only nuts to provide a source of

calcium, too.

Walnuts are an excellent source of omega-3 fats which also helps to preserve and strengthen

bones.

Pistachios are another delicious nut variety that are high in magnesium, potassium and

vitamin B6.

Research has shown potassium helps to maintain good bone density, while vitamin B6 regulates

levels of homocysteine, a compound believed to contribute to weak bones.

Nuts make an ideal mid-afternoon snack when the time between lunch and dinner seems to

drag on and you need a pick me up to get through the afternoon slump.

A handful of mixed nuts once a day is a great way to incorporate a healthy snack that also

assists with maintain bone strength.

As nuts are high in fiber and healthy fats they also keep you feeling fuller for longer,

while providing healthy vitamins and minerals to nourish your whole body.

Eggs While eggs are not often thought of as an

essential food for bone health, they do provide a source of non-dairy calcium, containing

21 mg of calcium per egg.

But more importantly, eggs are a rich source of vitamin D and are a total package of nutrients

that contribute to an overall healthy body and healthy bones.

As mentioned before, our main source of vitamin D is usually sunlight, as our skin naturally

produces vitamin D when exposed to sunlight.

But those of us with darker skin or who spend more time covered from the sun due to work,

disability or clothing choice, may need extra dietary sources of vitamin D to make up for

the lack of sunlight.

An egg contains 6% of your daily vitamin D, and while that might not seem like much, it's

an excellent source for such a small package, keeping in mind that it's rare to come by

food sources of vitamin D. Just remember to eat the yolk of the egg,

because this is where most of the vitamins and minerals, including the vitamin D.

Research has shown that up to 6 eggs per week are safe even for those with high cholesterol,

so don't let that fear get in the way of enjoying this tasty and healthy food.

Red Grapefruit This sweetly delicious and tangy citrus fruit

packs a punch of vitamin C, another vitamin that plays a vital role in the complex process

of bone health.

Vitamin C plays a crucial role in building collagen, an important component of bone that

ends to deteriorate as we age.

Keeping our collagen levels up ensures healthy younger looking skin, smoothly functioning

joints, and as our bone matrix is 90% collagen, it's important for bone strength and structure,

too.

Red grapefruit provides 120% of our daily vitamin C, along with the antioxidant lycopene

to diminish free radical activity.

Delicious on its own or in a fruit salad or even in a savory salad tossed with greens

and nuts, this versatile fruit is bursting with flavor and nutrition.

The white variety of grapefruit and even oranges are also excellent sources of vitamin C, although

the white grapefruit doesn't include the added benefit of lycopene and it's usually

a little more bitter than red grapefruit.

However, oranges include beta-carotene, a precursor of vitamin A in the place of lycopene.

Enjoy these citrus fruits as a snack anytime for a vitamin C boost to strengthen bones

and maintain your best health.

Prunes Prunes are simply dried plums and not only

are they a delicious sweet treat ideal for an afternoon snack combined with nuts, but

they are also – you guessed it – a surprisingly healthy food for bones.

A recent study by Florida State University has revealed the healthy effect of eating

prunes on bones, showing that postmenopausal women who ate 10 prunes a day had significantly

higher bone density than a control group who ate only apples.

This bone strengthening effect has been attributed to the presence of certain types of antioxidants

in prunes called polyphenols that help to slow down the rate of bone loss as we age.

Normally our bone mass is being lost and replaced all the time, but as we age that amount of

bone lost isn't replaced as quickly by the amount of bone added.

This normally results in overall loss of bone over time, but it seems that prunes could

change all that.

Prunes are also high in vitamin K which can help to slow bone loss.

In order to get the best results, it's a good idea to consume a good portion of prunes

each day to obtain the maximum benefits.

Prunes are delicious mixed in oatmeal or yoghurt, or pair perfectly with nuts for your afternoon

or morning snack.

Tahini Tahini is a rich and tasty Middle-Eastern

spread that is made of ground up sesame seeds.

With a creamy taste similar to very mild peanut butter, tahini is not only a delicious spread

rich in healthy fats and ideal for sandwiches or salad dressing, it is also high in calcium

and great for your bones.

Just one tablespoon of tahini provides 66 mg of calcium, in a delicious spread that's

dairy-free and soy-free.

It's also rich in other nutrients that help to nourish the musculo-skeletal system, including

iron, B vitamins, magnesium, and protein.

Calcium in tahini helps to strengthen bones, reduce anxiety and may even help to control

weight.

It's a good reminder that excellent sources of calcium can be found in more unconventional,

yet delicious foods and you need not despair if you're sensitive or allergic to dairy.

Tahini is a major component of the tasty chickpea dip hummus, which makes a nourishing and tasty

snack that's rich in calcium and protein, and pairs well with low fat flat bread, crackers

or carrot sticks.

Onions Onions for bone health – what?!

Well, we said these were surprising foods didn't we?

Actually this tasty addition to your favorite foods has amazing bone strengthening potential,

thanks to a certain type of polyphenol it contains.

In fact, a recent study has shown that eating onions once a day or more may improve your

bone mass by 5%, and in women over 50 it was shown that those who ate onions regularly

had a 20% lower risk of suffering a hip fracture than those who didn't eat onions on a regular

basis.

While more research still needs to be done on this interesting food for bone health,

it's not hard to start including more onions in your diet, as they make a delicious addition

and improve the flavor of a huge range of dishes, from soups to salads to stews, stir

fries, roasts and sandwiches.

They can be used cooked or raw and come in a range of interesting varieties that add

different flavor aspects, with white onions, brown onions and red onions being the most

popular.

So while we wait for the rest of the research to come out, enjoy the savory taste of more

onions in your diet – but try to avoid the tears!

Salmon Along with sardines, salmon is another form

of nutritious oily fish that's full of healthy fats and healthy bone nutrients.

In fact, fish intake in general has been correlated with better bone health, with even greater

benefits attributed to the oily fish such as salmon and sardines for the bone-protection

action of omega-3 fats and vitamin D also found in oily fish.

Both fresh and canned salmon provide these benefits to bones, but canned salmon provides

the added bonus of leaving the salmon bones in where they are soft and edible, providing

another alternative source of calcium.

The precious dietary vitamin D found in salmon also helps protect bone mass, with research

showing that women who ate fish five to seven times a week had significantly more bone mass

and higher vitamin D intake than those who ate it two or fewer times a week.

So whether you want to build up your bones before it's too late or you are looking

for alternative, non-dairy sources of bone strengthening minerals, try some of these

surprising yet nonetheless delicious and nourishing foods for better health and stronger bones.

Financial Literacy | Time Value of Money (Part2 | Chapter1) - Duration: 3:56.

Did you know that today's $1 worth less than yesterday's $1?

Let's take a look at an example to understand what that means.

This is RJ here at Wild West, in early 20th century.

The horse he is riding could be bought around $30-50 at that time.

However, in order to purchase a horse in the United States these days, you would have to

pay somewhere between $1,500-$3,000.

As you can see from the example, you have to pay much more today that what you will

have paid in the 20th century to buy a product with the similar quality.

But why is that so?

Why is the value of money different over time?

The answer is interest rate.

If you keep some portion of your money in your savings account, interest will be paid

to you periodically on the notional amount that you have in the account.

If we ignore default risk, in other words, if we completely ignore the possibility of

your bank going bankrupt and fail to repay your deposits, theoretically the interest

rate is a sum of real rate of interest and inflation premium.

This interest that accumulates in your account is normally small if you only look at for

1 period or 1 year.

Considering that the interest rate ranges between 0.5% to 1.5%, if you keep $100 in

your savings account for 1 year, the interest at the end of the year is probably around

$0.50 to $1.50, which is minimal.

However, if this accumulates over time, the amount can be quite large through compounding

effect.

Considering that the interest rate has ranged between 0% to 30% historically in the United States,

let's assume that the interest rate stays at 3% over hundred years.

The $100 in 1900 would worth $103 in 1901, $106.09 in 1902, and so forth.

In 2017, the $100 that you deposited would worth $3,176.

What this means is that $100 in 1900 would worth around the same as $3,167 in 2017.

In other words, $100 today was only about $3.15 in 1900.

Now, going back to our horse example, you can now see why the horse prices are so dramatically

different from what it is today and what it was in early 20th century.

In Finance, this concept of money having different value over time is called the "Time Value of Money".

This idea is one of the key principles of finance and is widely used as a critical assumption

for various calculations and theories.

The weird thing you never noticed about all these pictures of Princess Diana and Prince Charles - Duration: 1:40.

Why was Diana made to look shorter than her husband, when actually they were the same

height?

You know when you go for ages without noticing something, but then someone points it out

and you just can't un-see it?

Yeah, that's happened to us with these old photos of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

As pointed out in two Twitter posts by two separate accounts recently, it looks very

much like Prince Charles is taller than Princess Diana in all these photos, doesn't it?

But the thing is, Diana was the same height as Prince Charles.

And a quick Google search confirms it, Prince William and Prince Harry's parents both measure

in at 1.78metres, or approximately 5 ft 8.

So it seems a bit odd, doesn't it, if this illusion was trying to be created on purpose?

If such extreme lengths were gone to to make Prince Charles seem more 'manly' or something

by being taller.

Height's just... height, right?

As pointed out by Twitter user @LuciHoneyChurch, if there was some fixation on disguising Princess

Diana's height compared to her husband's, it's arguably a fairly sexist, conformist

thing to have done.

Because what's the big deal if a man isn't taller than his wife?

Interesting.

thanks for watching.

Your Home Care Package - making it work for you - Duration: 8:27.

We all want to stay in our own home for as long as possible

and as independently as possible.

There's lots of things I can do and a few things I can't do.

When there are things we cannot do ourselves

getting some support can make a real difference to our lives.

I can hardly walk. I am sick, so it's such a big help in every way.

This is where a home care package can help.

Not just for ourselves

but for family members and others involved in our lives as well.

It's so important to us yes that's right.

If we didn't have that

well I don't know how you'd get on.

Because as we're getting older we're getting more frail and

you're not going to be able to do the things

that we have been used to doing.

I've found that out now.

Spending money on yourself and your health

wellbeing and happiness can be money well spent

and it can add to the quality of your life right now.

The government encourages everyone

to make a contribution towards the cost of receiving help at home

if they can afford to.

But some people may not be able

to afford to contribute much

so it's ok to negotiate

an affordable amount

with your home care provider.

It's important to match up value for money

with the quality of the care and services you receive.

It's not just about prices

it's also about flexibility and creativity as well

Well I worked with the council first with the council.

Right now we're paying privately

we're paying an agency direct care workers

we're not going through a particular provider of any sort

we're just paying directly to a carer when we need it.

Depending on your circumstances it might take some time

before you are allocated your home care package.

You can use this time to find out

about some approved home care providers in your area

and plan for the best way to use your package

to meet your needs.

Perhaps you could make a list of things

that you'd like to be able to do

And talk to family, friends and neighbours

who might be able to help you.

I've got a son who's very good at doing repairs

if I need them

and my neighbours are my unpaid gardeners.

And she came with a big pot of, not pot,

a dish of chicken broth for me.

I've got very good neighbours.

Its really important for me

to get the right provider.

I think a new person coming on to a package

needs to ask the questions

"What service can the package provide me?"

"And how do I go about getting it?"

Choosing the right provider to deliver your package

is very important.

Use the MyAgedCare Service Finder

then call or meet with a few providers

to find out things like

If you have specific language or cultural needs

check if the provider can meet those needs.

It's good to be able to speak Polish

with a carer yes. Well they're nice.

We talk about cooking, we talk about religion.

Well, yes, everybody wants to speak their own language

You know it's only natural.

And you know you can do it different ways.

So there are lots of opportunities for people to choose what they want.

The great thing about home care packages

is that the services and care you can get are very flexible.

Start thinking about the things that are harder to manage nowadays.

What is preventing you from doing the things

that make your life as easy and enjoyable as possible?

Is it care for yourself?

Well I can't dress myself anymore

so my carers who come in the mornings help me get dressed

and they also help me have a shower.

Or, help with reducing risks and increasing safety at home?

I'd like a new security door

one that they can't see in.

Or looking after your house or garden?

It's a fairly big place to cut the lawns

and I'd have to do the front one day and the back the next

and it just got too much for me.

Or getting out and about and staying connected

with your family, friends and community.

Yes, yes, Polish Club

I love to go to the Polish Club, yes.

If I needed respite for Bill I would be able to get respite in the home

so that makes it a lot easier.

My hands are full of arthritis and bones are growing on top of the bones

You see they are all twisted. I have no strength at all in my hands.

You can use the home care package in creative ways

as well as for the day to day things you need.

They give me an airconditioner,

shoes.

I did use the package to go swimming twice a week.Yes.

They come and talk to you, not tell you,

but they're supposed to come and talk to you about and discuss with you

what you would like, what they think you need and have that conversation.

When you receive a home care package you will have access to a case manager

If your needs change they will help you change your care plan.

She's been responsible for getting a lot of help for me

and a lot of sort of additional things.

You pay for your Case Manager out of your home care package.

Well I don't know what I would do without it.

It would be very, very hard. It would be very, very hard.

It helps me to be independent, as much as I can be.

And it gives me a lot of security because I know it's there.

And that makes a difference.

And we're together

And hopefully we'll be together for a long time yet.

So with help in the home we're able to achieve that.

So with help in the home we're able to achieve that.

you take it away from how can I get and

you turn it into how can I give to my

audience everything changing.

What can I give to my potential audience that is going

to serve them? That's going to help them in

their business that's going to solve

problems for them and what resources can

I share with them so that we can build a

great connection. i'm going to show you

exactly how this works with an example

of somebody that I met about a week ago

that is the inspiration for this video

his name is KJ and he is the owner of

Women Auto Connection and what he

does in his business is he helps people,

women in particular, find the perfect car

and the perfect loan so he's kind of like

if you think about having a big brother

show up with you to a dealership to make

sure that you don't get ripped off

that's kind of what he does and he's

extremely professional about it and

saved people time and money and

headaches and really helps protect them

when they're vulnerable and trying to

make a big purchase where they could get

stuck in a bad loan for many many years

So I met him at this networking event and he

started sharing with me some

applications that he was using to help

make networking easier so it gave me

some great tips and tools and it was

never about what can I get from you it

was here give give give and I just

thought it was so amazing so I left the

networking event he immediately gave me

a call I was literally on my way home

from the networking event and he asked

me if he and his wife could meet with me and

sit down so they can learn more about me

and my business and how

they could help support me in my

business and I thought wow you know

that's pretty amazing yeah absolutely

i'd like to do that and i want to

support you too and so let's figure out

how we can do that so we made the

appointment and then my father who has been

ill for quite some time took a

downward turn and I needed to reschedule

that appointment he asked me what was

going on and if there was any way he could

support me and he even extended himself

to theextent that he said if

you need anything in the next week I

know you're going to really tough time

with your father and I want to be here

to support you if you have any meetings

that you have scheduled for this week

that you really want to attend but can't

give me your web address I will research

you online and study your website and I

will show up to your meeting for you and

represent you as somebody from your

company and I was like what are you

kidding me? like this it was just such an

amazing gesture from somebody that I

just met and I felt completely a hundred

percent relaxed in the idea that I would

trust him with meeting with one of my

potential clients and he could actually

walk in and do it and and be a

representatives fully on my behalf that

to me is really going above and beyond

and and you know beyond what most people

would do and so it just really stuck out

in me as wow this is a person that I am

totally gonna stay connected with its

somebody that I'm going to refer to and

find people that I can refer to at the

moment I don't need to buy a new car but

when I do need to buy a new car guess

who I'm calling KJ absolutely

and if I need anyone that needs to buy a

car, he's going to get my referral

as well so it's all about what you can

give to focusing on what you get it

comes back tenfold to you so thank you

KJ and i'll put a link so that if you

know anyone that needs help with a car

you can contact KJ and if you like this

video and you thought it was helpful

please let me know subscribe to my

channel if you like i'm going to be

giving more tips on digital marketing a

business and i hope you enjoyed

SPEEDING

A Guy and his wife are driving a car along a twisty road with a 55MPH limit.

Cop pulls the guy over.

"Had you going about 70 in 55 back there," says the cop.

"Not me," says the guy, "Could be your radar picked up someone else or something, but my

speedometer was set right on 55."

Wife pipes up, "You were to going 70.

I've told you 20 mile back you were going to get stopped if you didn't slow down."

"Shut up would ya!" mumbles the guy.

"Can I see your proof of insurance?" asks the cop.

"Sure, my card is right here in my wallet."

Wife says, "That card's no good and you know it.

You haven't paid the last premium and the company sent you a cancellation notice."

"Damn," yells the guy.

"Would you shut the hell up for once" "Ma'am," says the cop, "Does this guy always

talk to you like this?"

"Only when he's been drinking."
