Alright guys today we're at Club Champion in Hackensack New Jersey we're gonna
be getting a putter fitting and this is something I've been excited excited for
for quite some time we've talked about on the podcast we said about 40 percent
of your score happens on the green so if you're gonna invest in any fitting I
think it's a great place to start but it's new to both of us so let's get a
baseline real quick Mike tell us about your current putter setup yeah so first
and foremost I've never been fitted for a putter and I'm currently playing with
this old ping answer too and it was just a hand-me-down and I've
been playing pretty well with up in the last two years but never put any thought
into getting a putter fitted for my game whether it's the the right grip the
right shaft shaft length you know whatever the case may be I have no idea
so I'm really excited to find out what putters appropriate for my game yeah
it's saying here I'm incredibly excited for this well as well because although I
feel like pretty comfortable my putter and get another hand-me-down Scotty
Cameron it's great putter it's treated me really well but I think there's
always that room for improvement there's always that room to learn a little bit
because it's not fitted for me I know there's gonna be some improvement so
we're gonna run through this process we're gonna learn as we go because this
is a first time for both of us and we're gonna bring you guys along so you can
learn a little bit about how this works as well so let's check it out
all right we are here with a master club theatre Jeremy awesome Jeremy so Frank
and I we have not been doing so we don't know really what to expect going through
this video take your students awesome and I see so many partners around here
you see this machine that we used before which is such a yes well it's a nutus
kind of a complex as many people could imagine real simple sim labs announces

something that I kind of is the benchmark I would say I was good to get

takes what we get out of you we put a bunch of space line stats there for your
butter fits out nice recommendations nice little slice so there's a good
chance that I can be drawing oh I hope so

so that's kind of the nice thing with us so all of our machines are digital so as
far as quality control when it comes to specific waffles lye and stuff like that
it's it's a lot easier for us to keep tabs on an exact measurement rather than
just really

close as the golf balls got it through our ocean so what Mike's doing over
there so it just got a baseline there Chris my current stroke with this
current putter setup and they're just running through to see what if anything
initially can you change for improvement so they're running through head style in
how angle how he's attacking it and just kind of decompressing everything from
first standpoint of ways currently music so really a lot of information to digest
so here I am I think things are looking pretty good for me and I look at my
rotation consistency pretty high right and then we get to the overall so I want
to hear about this so what's going on here 43% all right now the normal grid
for you here recommended for sample okay so now just because our consistency is
up that is why it's saying stay with the normal drill again I would say biggest
thing for you a little bit less offset so we don't get that drastic clothes
thinking that much open and then other would be a little
bit more towhead than what we were working with so I kind of like to keep
you between a 30 and a 45 all right so all I did was hit 7 putts and I found
out everything I needed to know about the fighting stroke right here printed
out Jeremy's picking out some flutters that
he thinks might work well for my game so let's see what he comes back with here's
where the mad scientist goes to work it's got all of Mike's numbers pick it
out the clubs for here's the lineup so now cool thing is a part of the
specialty is that all of these have some
so that or similar to some have different styles different head types
so this is kind of what I lead you to it back feel wall out let's find one that
works

and also just because of your rotation so now because we're not rotating as
much as my kids we still have a safe ball fantastic that is a lot of green my
friend so that tells me our standard group we have absolutely so once you
figure out the type of club that you need the right shaft length the right
weight the right grip they'll come into this little lab here which is pretty
cool and they won't put everything together for you I love it
was the verdict - pretty stellar on just finding out if that little bit of just
being too long is how consistently I'm to point out on the face just because my
eyes are over balanced face like that the results kind of explain what offset
is so put this paper up you just see the face of the putter the shaft line is
behind the piece of paper yep put you on this one kind of see how this paper like
almost splits your shaft there has a little bit of a piece of it I get to go
Street kind of see how it touches your shaft line yeah but this one it's well
in front of it this is just one of those things with that directional mess we
were talking about all right so we've been through the paces so let's just run
it through what do we got to do all right guys so I think we've got some
pretty solid choices for you so so for Mike we got you in bettin Rd BB 1 F
series just there nice one green grip for you definitely a little bit less
offset a little bit heavier putter absolutely fantastic another good
for you would be the two lon Madison now this is a pretty similar style to one
another just a different maker really tool on design being the Callaway
vibrato but uh another very solid choice for you my friends yeah Frank I think we
can nail hothead for you Ben Artie BB long that face balance blade limited
edition one of the five hundred you got in your hands there but this was
definitely a perfect match for you my family a talents right offset right leg
it's got to stand up a little bit more that's it here's fittings to I mean it
just you identify the issue and then just resolve it with there with those
small changes so from me like just being just the shaft being too long my eyes
were over it so everything was hitting out towards
the toe by just by shorting that up and in the face balance I was gonna the toe
hang was too much on line I'm ending up you know pushing themselves base what
you learned that little time to be able to make those changes and of course you
gotta love this mix you take this home with you that's right so all right guys
