Waching daily Sep 26 2018

CHRIS: Hi, Pastor John, my name is Chris.

JOHN: Hi, Chris.

CHRIS: I know that you've spent a large portion of your ministry and even your life

to training men for the ministry.

I think the building right to my left is a testament of that.

So I have a two-part question for you.

First of all, what would you say to a young man who was aspiring to be in full-time ministry,

who strongly desired it but wasn't quite sure that he was called by God?

And secondly, what are some major pit falls that same young man should be looking out

for.

JOHN: Sure, I think I know who that young man is.

(Laughter) That's wonderful, Chris.

Look, you're in the same place everybody's in.

I never had an epiphany, an angel never showed up.

I never heard a voice out of heaven.

When I looked at my own life and said, "What do I want to do?"

There were no supernatural events.

There were NO supernatural events.

All I could look at was a desire.

And I think that fits perfectly the New Testament pattern.

First Timothy 3, "If a man desires the office of an overseer, or pastor, he desires a noble

work."

The assumption there is that this is the normal way that God indicates the calling through

desire...through desire.

And as that desire flourishes and strengthens, it becomes a singular desire.

All I can tell you is there were times in my life when I thought I would be a preacher.

Then there were times in my life when I hoped I would be a preacher.

Then there were times in the progression of that when I knew I would be a preacher.

Then there were times when I knew I couldn't be anything other than a preacher or a pastor.

And I think it's that desire that grows and develops.

And what grew it in me was not so much the nature of ministry itself, but my undying

passion for the book.

When I went to college, I'm not going to give you a whole lot of useless information

about my past, but my whole life I got notes that I had to take home about how bad I did

in school.

And "Johnny could do better" notes, you know?

My mother was always saying to me, "We know you can do better..."

And I was always trying to convince her, "No, no, this is it, I'm maxed out (Laughter).

I'm giving it my best shot, that's all I can do."

"No, you can do better...you can do better."

And the teachers would say Johnny could do better.

The point is, I was no scholar.

I was no academic.

That was true all the way through high school.

And in college, I didn't let my books get in the way of my education either.

I went through college from one event to another event, student life, athletics, every sport...I

played every sport in my college days.

I was involved in all kinds of activities.

As I got toward the end of my college years, I think it was my junior-senior year, the

Word of God took on a whole new depth for me.

And what it came down to was this need to know what the Bible meant.

That's what drives me, by the way.

It's not you that drive me, it's this that drives me.

I really became a preacher of the Word of God because I didn't want to do anything

in my whole life but that because I wanted to know it and I wanted to share its glorious

truths with others.

And so, it just kept developing in my heart.

And I remember when I went to seminary, remember now, I had convinced my mom that I had maxed

out with, you know, Cees and Bees, and I went to seminary and I remember the first time

I showed her my first semester report card.

She just..."I knew you hadn't been telling me the truth all these years."

I went through seminary and I did so well and I graduated with honors and all of that.

And there was one driving reason, I was doing what I really loved and the passion was there.

The other components of that, the desire, the growing explosive desire in your heart

that eliminates anything else, the next thing that comes along was confirmation from the

people who were saying, "You want to teach?

Let's hear you teach."

And that's fine as far as it goes.

But if you say I'm called to teach and everybody says, "Oh no you're not," maybe you

ought to think about that.

But where there's affirmation of your giftedness and where there's confirmation by the leadership

of the church that your character and your giftedness fits this, so you have the laying

on of hands like in the case of Timothy.

But all the way along, sure there's a certain sense of "Is this what I really what I ought

to do."

Why, because there's this nagging unworthiness, there's this reality that how am I going

to survive?

How am I going to be faithful?

You just take it a day at a time.

I will tell you, it is the greatest joy, continues to be the greatest joy of my life.

But it continues also to be more important than it ever has been in the past, it's

a growing joy that I have.

So there's a certain sense in which it's a desire, a flourishing, developing desire.

Eventually you can't do anything but that because that begins to completely capture

your heart.

Then you have to look at your giftedness, response, affirmation from spiritual leaders

around you, set aside your fallenness because the only kind of people the Lord can use are

broken vessels, because that's all there are.

Okay?

And when it comes to that, and I tell young guys this all the time, all ministry, all

ministry comes back to this book, all of it...all of it is informed by this book.

So when you want to get trained, get the tools to understand this book.

And then when you've gotten that foundation, you can go take whatever field you want, whether

you want to teach, whether you want to be in a university, what do you want to teach

in a seminary, pastor a church, or be a missionary.

But the end of the day, all ministry is a dissemination of divine truth, right?

And that's what you want to make sure you grasp.

If you're young enough, if you still have a little bit of doubt about whether this is

what you ought to do, and I can honestly say I had no idea when I went to seminary what

I was going to do, I just was driven to dig into the Word of God and I loved it.

I don't think I even knew till I finally got to my third year where I would go.

But I think you can start there and if the Lord continues to make that desire flourish

that you're going to find that you're in the right spot.

My guess is, if that's already a passion for you, that's the work of the Lord in

your heart.

Diane Tirado: Things Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 11:31.

Diane Tirado: Things Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Diane Tirado is a Florida teacher making headlines after she claimed she was fired for giving students zeros when they didn't turn in their homework.

Her former employer denies that was the reason, but has not given a more detailed explanation as to why Tirado was terminated.

Here's what you need to know.

Diane Tirado Left a Note on the Whiteboard For Her Students After Being Terminated.

Diane Tirado taught social studies at West Gate K-8 School in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

She said that when several students declined to turn in a recent homework assignment, she gave them zero credit.

The school's handbook states that the lowest grade a teacher is permitted to give is 50 percent, even when the student does not complete the work.

Tirado said she asked school administrators about it, and that they reiterated that she should follow the instructions laid out in the handbook.

Tirado was fired on September 14.

She told WPTV-TV that the principal sent her a letter but did not explain why she was being terminated.

Since Tirado was unable to say say goodbye to her students, she left a message on the whiteboard.

It read, "Bye kids, Mrs.

Tirado loves you and wishes you the best in life! I have been fired for refusing to give you a 50% for not handing anything in.

Mrs.

Tirado." She said an administrator erased the message, but that she just rewrote it, snapped a photo and posted it on Facebook.

The image has been shared more than 1,000 times.

The School Handbook Printed In Bold Red Ink That The Lowest Possible Grade is 50 Percent.

View this document on Scribd.

The student-parent handbook is readily accessible on the school's website.

The full text is embedded above.

On page 25, the grading policy is clearly laid out.

Each letter grade corresponds with a 10-point range.

A failing grade is listed as 50-59 percent.

Underneath the graph, in bold red lettering, it states: "*****NO ZERO's- LOWEST POSSIBLE GRADE IS 50%.".

West Gate K-8 WebsiteWest Gate K-8 School Student and Parent Handbook.

The School's Information Officer Released a Statement That Denied That Teachers Could Not Issue Grades of Zero Credit, But Again Did Not Specify Why Tirado was Terminated.

As of September 25, Tirado was still listed on the school's website as a social studies teacher.

She had just started working at West Gate K-8 this school year.

The school has denied that teachers are prohibited from issuing grades less than 50 percent, despite what is clearly visible in the student-parent handbook.

The chief information officer for the school, Kerry Padrick, issued a statement to local media.

It reads:.

"Diane Tirado was employed as a teacher for St.

Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) from July 30, 2018 to September 14, 2018.

She was contracted as a teacher on probationary status, and was terminated shortly after one month of classroom instruction.

SLPS values the importance of maintaining a high-quality teaching staff who support students' individualized learning needs; who understand the value of forming appropriate and positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents; and who provide accurate and productive feedback to students on assignments.

Wavering on the expectations of quality is not an option.

There is no District or individual school policy prohibiting teachers from recording a grade of zero for work not turned in.

The District's Uniform Grading System utilizes letter grades A-F, numerical grades 100-0 and grade point averages from 4-0.".

Diane Tirado Shared On Facebook That a Wrongful Termination Lawsuit May Be Possible.

Tirado shared on Facebook that she met with the teacher's union in light of her firing.

She was initially told the union could not push back because she was on probation.

But Tirado then found out that she might be able to sue for wrongful termination.

She explained: "Wrongful termination remains to be seen.

I was employed for a full year with the st.

Lucie school board and was reappointed.

I took a year off of teaching for personal reasons and then returned to the classroom.

I am waiting for clarification of my probationary period.

Supposedly, a teacher is off probation after a year of teaching.

Since I was reappointed and only took a year off, I may be off the probation time.".

According to her Linkedin page, Diane Tirado graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 1998.

She earned degrees in secondary education and sociology.

On Facebook, she lists a few of her former teaching jobs.

Tirado previously taught math at Ormond Beach Middle School in the Florida town of the same name for four school years.

She was a reading teacher at Campbell Middle School in Smyrna, Georgia, though she does not mention for how long.

She also lists the Samuel S.

Gaines Academy of Emerging Technologies as an employer, where she taught math.

Tirado Argues That the Grading Policy Does Not Benefit Students and Supporters Are Rallying Behind Her.

Diane Tirado shared a message on Facebook on September 25, to address why she has chosen to speak out about her situation.

She wrote, "I am reading all the posts you have written and reflecting upon them.

The reason I took on this fight was because it was ridiculous.

Teaching should not be this hard.

Teachers teach content, children do the assignments to the best of their ability and teachers grade that work based on a grading scale that has been around a very long time.

Teachers also provide numerous attempts to get the work collected so they can give a child a grade.

By nature, most teachers are loving souls who want to see students succeed.

We do above and beyond actual teaching to give them the support they need.

Are we perfect? NO.

We make mistakes like all other human beings, but I know teachers work their butts off to help children to be the best people they can be!!!".

Tirado says the West Gate school needs to change its grading policies, arguing that giving a student half credit for not doing any work sends the wrong message.

WPEC-TV quoted Tirado as saying, "I'm arguing the fact that you don't get something for nothing.

Maddox Ritch: Things Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 9:12.

Maddox Ritch: Things Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Maddox Ritch is the six year old North Carolina boy who was reported missing on Saturday.

Agents and detectives from more than a dozen local, state and federal agencies have been hunting for little Maddox, who has special needs and may have trouble communicating.

As the search entered its fourth day, the FBI announced a $10,000 reward for any information that could lead to a break in the case.

Here's what you need to know about Maddox Ritch:.

Maddox Is Autistic and Non-Verbal.

Six year old Maddox is autistic and cannot speak.

He is blond and blue-eyed, is 4 feet tall, and weighs 45 pounds.

He was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt with the words "I am the man," along with black shorts and closed-toe sandals.

His mother,Carrie, said that Maddox "is my whole world and my reason for living.

He's momma's boy." She added, "Maddox loves the park.

He loves Bouncy Balls and he loves his teddy bear." Describing her son, she said, "his smile is so contagious and his laughter is so precious.".

Maddox's father, Ian, told People Magazine that he is heartbroken and feels like he is going through hell.

"These past few days have been hell for me.

I'm so broken. I'm heartbroken," he said.

"Every time it gets dark at night I burst into tears because I'm thinking, 'My little boy is out there alone.' The longer [the search is] going the harder it gets because I'm so worried.

He hasn't had anything to eat or drink.".

He Was Last Seen in a Park With His Father.

On Saturday afternoon Maddox's father, Ian Ritch, took his son to Rankin Lake Park near Gastonia, North Carolina.

A friend of Ian's of theirs went along with them.

The group was walking along the lake; Maddox was walking beside his father and his friend.

Suddenly, Maddox took off running, following a jogger.

When he didn't slow down or come right back, his father chased after him.

But he quickly lost sight of the boy.

Ian called park rangers, who helped him search for Maddox.

When they couldn't find him quickly, they called 911.

Authorities have been searching for the boy ever since.

On Sunday, the park was closed to the public so that police could conduct their search more thoroughly.

Authorities say they are searching for the jogger who Maddox ran after.

They also want to speak to a man who was in the park Saturday taking photos of families.

Police have been asking anyone who was in the park on Saturday afternoon to come forward, in the hopes that someone might remember a detail that could help them to locate Maddox.

Maddox May Be in Need of Medical Attention.

Authorities say that Maddox may need medical attention.

The little boy is autistic and non-verbal and may have trouble communicating his needs to others.

Maddox went missing on Saturday, when he was at the park with his father.

He playfully started to run ahead of his father as they walked along a path around a lake.

His father, Ian, said that normally Maddox would double back or slow down to let him catch up.

This time, Maddox was running after a jogger on the path, and did not slow down.

When his father tried to catch up with him, Maddox was already too far ahead.

Ian lost sight of him.

He alerted park rangers, and then called 911.

So far, authorities have not been able to find Maddox.

Authorities Have Been Broadcasting Recordings of Ian and Carrie's Voices Throughout the Park, Hoping to Lure Maddox in to Safety.

Authorities have been looking all over the park to try and find six year old Maddox.

They've looked behind rocks, in dumpsters, and in the lake.

They've even drained the edges of the lake in the hopes that this will help them find the little boy.

Authorities have also been playing recordings of Carrie and Ian's voices on loudspeakers throughout the park.

They are hoping that, if Maddox is lost in the woods, he may hear his parents' voices and come towards the families sound.

On Tuesday Maddox's father, Ian, once again retraced every step of the path he took with Maddox on Saturday afternoon, hoping to turn up a clue of some kind.

Authorities Have Not Issued an Amber Alert in Maddox's Case.

Authorities say that Maddox's disappearance does not meet the criteria for an Amber alert.

The Amber alert was named after a child named Amber Hagerman, a 9 year old who was abducted and murdered in Texas in 1996.

When an Amber alert is declared, notifications about a missing child are distributed to television stations, radio stations and other media, as well as to wireless devices by email and text messages.

The criteria for an Amber alert are strict: the alert can only be issued when authorities believe that a child has been abducted.

The Justice Department guidelines read, "This is essential when determining the level of risk to the child.

To allow activations in the absence of significant information that an abduction has occurred could lead to abuse of the system and ultimately weaken its effectiveness.".

State House - District 7: Denver Decides Candidate Forum (09/25/18) - Duration: 12:03.

hello I'm Tamra banks and welcome to

Denver decides this Community

Partnership is dedicated to accessible

and transparent elections the

partnership includes the League of Women

Voters of Denver in turn aber hood

cooperation and is presented by Denver

atetv our mission today is to present a

candidate forum an anticipation of the

general election coming up on Tuesday

November 6 among other offices this

election includes the candidates vying

to represent constituents in Colorado

State House from district number 7 house

district 7 is located in far northeast

Denver our format includes timed opening

and closing statements from each of the

candidates that will be followed by

rounds of questions that have been

submitted by the organizers of the forum

since we do have a time limit we may not

be able to get to all of the questions

submitted I want to advise you here that

there are two candidates on the November

ballot for the seats in the Colorado

House of Representatives Republican

candidates J Frank Sarah was invited to

this forum but did not reply so let's

begin by meeting the other candidates on

the ballot for the seat James Rashad

common mr. Coleman welcome thanks for

being here at this farm in general for

having me appreciate it you bet you will

have one minute for your opening

statement and you can begin that now

awesome we'll save everybody my name is

James Coleman and I'm the state

representative for Colorado's House

District seven I'm running for

re-election and I'm excited to be able

to serve you all again coming up here in

2019 House except in seven represents

Green Valley Ranch Montbello Stapleton

northeast Park Hill and also the airport

and over 90,000 people so I'm blessed to

be able to work with folks who were here

in the House District before I many of

those things I'm a proud husband of

amazing wife Shaina amazing children

James and Naomi who were seven years old

and second grade and go to school in the

neighborhood I'm also a man of faith and

I'm grateful an honor to be able to

serve you excellent thank you sir so

we're gonna jump right into the

questions for you so my first question

is what are the two biggest issues

facing your

district and how do you plan to deal

with these and you will have one minute

to answer I can't we begin okay all

right thank you Tamara so the two

biggest issues that are facing our

district I still believe number one is

education I think education is critical

for all of our children not just in the

house district but across the state of

Colorado to have a quality education and

so we want to make sure that we're doing

everything that we can whether that's

providing quality academic experience

making sure that our students know that

they're safe amidst a lot of things and

violence that have happened around our

country making sure that our students

wellness is taken care of their whole

person it's critical for me especially

because I have two children myself and I

understand how important it is to have

there for our children and the second

thing for me is economic development and

what we want to make sure that we

continue to have businesses thriving in

our state and people having jobs and not

just jobs but higher wages to be able to

live in the state we also want to make

sure that people have a livable wage to

find a place where they can live and I

think treinta fication and a lot of

other concerns regarding housing issues

having things that we really want to

continue to focus on improving the state

and House District seven okay thank you

so we'll ask a second question now it's

a long question the bill extreme risk

protection order also known as the red

flag bill would allow families and law

enforcement to see court orders to

remove firearms from a person whose

behavior is deemed extremely dangerous

to themselves or others in the last

session the bill passed the House on a

bipartisan vote of 37 to 23 then died in

the Senate Affairs Committee now if the

bill is introduced in the 2019 session

would you support or oppose the red flag

bill and again you have one minute to

answer Thank You Tamara so I would

absolutely support the red flag bill and

here's why

I think no matter where you're on this

country people are afraid for their

lives we want to make sure that not only

we're thinking about folks who are

responsible gun owners but we're also

thinking about folks who have

experienced tragedy and so those folks

who experienced tragedy and hopefully

preventing folks from experiencing

tragedy it's important that if someone

feels as if someone is unstable or

should not have a firearm they should be

able to make a phone call and let folks

know about that to prevent

further issues from happening so that

for me is something I supported this

year and I would support that again in

the 2019 session okay and our third

question for our candidate Tabor has had

a big impact on the state and remains

controversial how should taper be dealt

with that's a great question so you know

Tabor for those folks who don't know

ultimately makes it so that we as voters

you as voters have the ability to

determine if we're gonna have tax

increases to pay for things in our state

there's a lot about initiatives you'll

be voting for coming up here in November

I think it's important that we do hear

from the folks in the state about that

but what I wish we could do is figure

out ways that we can retain some of that

funding especially for education you

know we're looking at potentially two

hundred million dollars across the state

of Colorado that we could retain if we

decided as voters we wanted that money

to go specifically for a cause and when

we have a huge deficit in public

education here in the state of Colorado

when our teachers really need funding

when our schools really need funding

it'd be great for us to be able to

utilize Tabor and the good part of Tabor

which is funding for things we say as a

state we want but making sure our voters

still have a voice in determining what

we do with tax dollars okay and before

we continue on with our next question I

just want to remind our viewers that we

do have another candidate who is your

opponent and that is mr. J Frank Kucera

who did not reply to our request to to

invite him to the forum this evening so

with that our next question is by many

measures marijuana has been a success do

you think it is working well and what

tweaks might the state still need to

make thank you so I want to also take a

few seconds just to acknowledge that Jay

is a great man out of got a chance to

meet him earlier this year and I'm sure

he could have been here if he would have

if he would have been able to so thank

you for running against me and making

sure I'm not resting on my laurels to

answer that question I think it's

important that we focus on how we

utilize those funds I'm privileged to

sinhala Tony Graham's his board

Tony Graham's his board serves students

with mental health issues and

instabilities and the funding we got in

the recent year in a bill that we ran

with the legislature for funding we were

able to receive a dish

funding through a house amendment rather

than a bill for programs like Tony

gramps's which was funded through

marijuana task ashwin I think we have to

do those make sure we're educating our

voters specifically on what that

fundings for a lot of folks thought that

funding was going to be used for

education and in classroom and much of

that funding for class 4 education is

being used on capital development and

buildings so making sure that we're

educating folks on what that funding is

used for making sure we're doing right

with the funding we say we're going to

do and making sure that we continue to

use it in the right way so that it

impacts the state in a positive way ok

just a few more questions here Colorado

has fallen near the bottom of all states

in funding education what specifically

would you like to see done to change

that thank you for that question and so

I alluded to something I think would be

a really great effort regarding Tabor

and funding education you know we are

able to knock off a little bit of the

negative factor which is ultimately this

roughly almost a billion dollar deficit

in public education we have but that's

such an incremental step you know this

year we also run another bill that

provides funding for teachers who want

to go to college get a degree and have

their last year of college paid for but

that's such an incremental step that

it's encouraging our teachers is

providing funding for our schools so I

think we have to do a better job not

only the state level providing funding

but better partnerships with our local

school districts across the state to

make sure that we're supportive of using

that money that we do have for education

effectively while initiatives that are

on the ballot this year the potentially

increased funding so we have to figure

out ways to increase funding but also

make sure we manage the funding we have

effectively okay here's a question for

you who are the major contributors to

your election campaign that's a great

question thanks for asking you know the

major contributors to my election

campaign have been the people you know

I've been blessed to receive a lot of

individual contributions but I've also

been able to receive contributions from

folks I've had a chance to get to know

over the past six years and so when I

say the people I also do mean folks who

are in the lobby folks who represent

various businesses and it's important to

know that when I received those fundings

that does not buy my vote what it does

is and make sure that I continue the

Hazards relationships have those

relationships with the folks who I work

with every day January through May at

the Capitol and make sure I do not lose

integrity when I'm focusing on the

issues the focus of my community want me

to focus on

so this brings us to the end of the

questions and now we'd like you to give

your closing statements you typically we

have a minute and a half but if you want

it you could have two minutes yep

awesome so those of you who know me know

I could talk for a long time so I won't

be that long what I will say is I am

asking for your vote for re-election

irregardless of mister cachoeira being

here or not it's important that I ask

for your support whether I was someone's

running against me or not it's important

that I earn your support I think right

now in politics people have lost trust

people don't believe that we're here

representing their interests and I want

to make sure I say that because your

vote matters to me we won the primary

election last year last time I'm out of

first election

we're only won by 80 votes every vote

matters so I'm asking for your vote I'm

asking you to support me in this

reelection so I can go back to the

Allison Hrabar's GoFundMe: Things Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 8:08.

Allison Hrabar's GoFundMe: Things Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Allison Hrabar is the State Department employee who lost her job after she was profiled in a video by James O'Keefe's Project Veritas.

Hrabar says that on September 24, when she showed up to work, security officers met her at the door and ordered her to pack up her belongings.

She says that she is now out of work and needs help covering her living expenses until she finds a new job.

Hrabar started a GoFundMe campaign on September 25.

the campaign has already surpassed its goal of seven thousand dollars.

Here's what you need to know:.

Hrabar Says She Was Fired in Retaliation for Protesting DHS Head Kirstjen Nielsen.

Hrabar is a spokesperson for the DC branch of the Democratic Socialists of America.

She was one of the people who organized the June 19 protest of Homeland Security chief Kirstjen Nielsen at a Mexican restaurant in Washington DC.

Hrabar says that after that protest, the State Department took a close look at her activities and investigated whether she was complying with the Hatch Act.

She says the office of the special counsel cleared her of any wrongdoing, and that her perfomance evaluations continued to be positive.

But Hrabar says that on September 18, she was told that her contract would not be renewed.

She says her contract was set to expire on October 2, which should have been her last day.

But she says that on September 24, she was ordered to pack up her belongings and leave.

Hrabar Told Project Veritas That She Couldn't Really Get Fired.

Hrabar, a paralegal at the Department of Justice, was featured in the second video in a series by Project Veritas.

Project Veritas is a series produced by James O'Keefe, the journalist who first came to national attention when he made an undercover video about Acorn.

Project Veritas spoke to Hrabar as she prepared for a Democratic Socialists of America protest in a DC church.

You can watch the full video here.

Hrabar said to Project Veritas, "what's kind of lucky is at the DOJ, we can't really be fired.".

After the video appeared, the Department of Justice announced it was investigating Hrabar's activities.

Hrabar May Have Used Government Resources to Target a DC Lobbyist for Protest.

Hrabar says that she was fired in retaliation for protesting against Kirstjen Nielsen.

But in fact, she may have been fired for misusing government resources.

Hrabar organized a protest in April on the home of a DC lobbyist named Jeremy Wiley.

Wiley works as a lobbyist for the private prison company CoreCivic.

You can read more about the protest here.

Hrabar said she found Jeremy Wiley's home by running his license plate.

Her colleague, Natarajan Subramanian, later confirmed that she most likely used her work Lexis-Nexus account to gather information about Jeremy Wiley; he said that Hrabar probably often used Lexis-Nexus and other work resources for her activities at the Democratic Socialists of America.

Hrabar Says She Wants to Use Her GoFundMe Money to 'Fight Back' After Losing Her Job.

Hrabar initially said she was trying to earn $7,000 with her GoFundMe page.

As of Tuesday afternoon, just five hours after Hrabar put up the page, it had already raised over $8,000.

Hrabar said she needed money to help pay her medical costs, which she said were very high.

Without her job at the Justice Department, she no longer has medical insurance.

And she said she needs money to pay her cost of living expenses while she looks for a new job.

But she also said that she needs money to "cover the legal fees needed to fight back.".

It was not quite clear what Hrabar meant by fighting back — it's not clear whether she wants to mount a legal challenge over being fired from the department of justice.

Hrabar says that if she has any money left over, she will donate it to the MDC DSA migrant justice legal fund.

Hrabar Is Getting a Lot of Angry Comments on Her GoFundMe Page.

Hrabar's GoFundMe page is trending, and it's getting a lot of attention — both positive and negative attention.

She has plenty of supporters donating money and pledging their emotional support.

But she also has plenty of detractors who were angered by some of the comments she made on the Project Veritas video.

"Allison, your leadership skills are inspirational, and it's clearly driving conservatives crazy that you already surpassed your fundraising goal :) Keep doing what you're doing, we're behind you every step of the way!" one supporter wrote.

Another person wrote, "You were fired because you did not do your job at work.

One commenter called her a "grifter." Another wrote, "Good luck finding your next job … may be try next door McDonalds.

they need folks.".

Failed Pilot Checkride... What do you do now? - Duration: 4:41.

part of becoming an airline pilot or even a private pilot in flight school is

passing flight training check rides in this video I'm going to talk about what

you do after you fail a check ride coming up 963 heavy sliding 100 0

maintain 1 0 10000 runway 1 ain't left clear for takeoff hey crew welcome to 7

for gear if you don't know me my name is Kelsey I'm a 747 pilot obviously today

we're talking about failing check rides which is basically most pilots least

favourite subject I had a few messages from people asking

me about what do you do if you fail your check ride or I'm really nervous what if

I fail so the first thing is the way that not fail is to prepare and study if

you haven't taken the check riding you're watching this video worried about

what if I do if I fail forget that I'll put a link up here which talks about how

to study to prepare so go watch that video and prepare and pass if you've

already failed your check riding you're watching this video first things first

don't sweat it this happens a lot of times people have a failure in their

career and it's not a big deal I've had people ask me well if I fail a

check ride then what if I want to go to the airlines it used to be back in the

day if you failed to check ride that you were gonna have a hard time in your in

your aviation career that's not really the case now airlines are looking at

trends so if you had one failure and then but you passed multiple other exams

it's not a big deal I failed my private I failed my very

first check ride I off to a horrible start

I failed my I failed both my privates I fail my private single and I failed my

private multi a lot of losers out there I guess it was a horrible start to my

career I have never failed another exam since then and that's kind of what

prompted me to really do my homework to understand how to prepare and pass these

exams and and that's why I made that video about how to do that the airlines

are gonna ask you about it what they're gonna want to see is you've had this

problem you've failed a check ride and what did you do to overcome it if you've

already failed you can't change the past but you can't change what happens from

this point forward the way you do that is you prepare and study get ready

go pass your exam and then you'll use this and spin this negative thing of how

you failed to check right in whatever it was into a positive I had this issue

where I failed this check right what I did was as I did XY and Z to prepare in

order to pass and since then I've been successful in all my check rides because

I realized I I improved my study habits and I did XY and Z in order to prepare

and then I I passed the next time if it's a trend it's gonna be an issue

houston we have a problem if it's a one-off situation where you fail to

check right it's not a big deal take that negative prepare study and now pass

the follow-up check ride and take that negative and make it a positive and the

airlines will see hey listen this guy failed this one rut check ride but this

is what he's done now he hasn't failed any since then or if it's the first time

you've failed like a friend of mine he had passed every single check ride until

his higher life and he was a CFI and an Mei and all these different things he

fit he failed his very first check ride which is his captain upgrade when we

were at the regionals together and he was like my career's over and I said man

it's not over take that negative situation prepare and go and pass and

use it and spin into a positive he's at a different carries flying air buses now

so it's not a big deal so don't worry about it just use it spin

it into a positive now the last thing I want to tell you about preparing is they

can ask you questions or redo any part of the exam that they want so if you

were weak in a couple other areas prepare for those like it's a very first

time because when you go back if they decide hey we want to relook at this one

maneuver that you were kind of weak on they can do that obviously that would

really suck we prepare like it's your very first check right and get in there

and get us get it done and get it passed

there's really not much else I can tell you about this I want you to know it's

gonna be all right if everything is going to be fine as far

as your career goes don't make it a habit in the comments section below let

me know what check write it is that you failed and if watching that video about

passing check rides helped you to pass the second time through I look forward

to hearing from you until then keep the blue side up

Episode 17 - The Difference Between Me & You - Duration: 9:49.

"Is that trash?"

I'm gonna go throw this away, okay?

I'll be right back

"You are a goddamn hero"

"You're such a good person"

"You deserve an award"

[theme music plays]

How you doing?

are you gonna read a book?

Daniel

About Daniel?

Yeah.

Cooool.

"I hate him, i hate him"

Daniel.

"I hate Daniel."

Me. Read.

Me read?

"No, i really don't want to"

Can you say, "you read"?

Me.

No, say "you"

Oh me.

You.

Oh me.

No, say "you"

Oh me!

"This is very confusing."

Me

Because... "me"... "you"

Oh me.

Me.

You.

"Now you try"

Me.

"Goddammit, no."

No, say "you"

Oh me!

No, say "you"

Me.

'Cause "me" is like...

you...

Like, this is... me...

"I give up."

Okay, here we go.

Yeah.

Okay, should we go to Target?

"It's my favorite place in the world."

And then to the park.

And then to Trader Joes.

C'mon!

"Let's blow this hotdog stand"

Hand.

"Gimme your hand."

Hand.

Hand.

"My heart... just melts."

Target.

Target?

Yeah

Okay.

"So we're both excited. That's great."

So we are in crunch-time right now

"we're running out of time"

Ashley's due in about 10 days...

"Ahhhh!"

Second pregnancies are a lot more likely to be early...

"Are you a doctor?"

So we're basically at the point where it could happen...

at any moment.

"But I'm not ready yet"

Which is kind of a trip.

'cause it's hard to organize your day to day life when

pretty much at any point...

"all hell breaks loose"

For the last 2 months, our to-do lists were like really long

and we were just trying to get through as much stuff as possible.

"I can do this"

Now in the last few days it's like...

"sigh"

Doesn't really make a lot of sense to, like, start new projects,

or start anything that might take more than a few hours to get done.

"That sounds like an excuse"

So it's kinda like, the way you prioritize your...

(Backseat) - Music.

Music?

(Backseat) - Yeah.

Okay i'll turn it on in a minute, okay?

"Shut up, you're interrupting my inner-monologue..."

"Where was I?"

So kinda like the way i've been prioritizing is just, like,

If i could only get one thing done for the next month

What would that one thing be?

"How would that be different from any other day?"

So...

Right now we're going to buy toilet paper.

"For pooping."

Because that seems like it should be at the top of the list for the next month.

"Well at least your priorities are in order"

Oh, like a toy house?

Yeah.

Oh yeah.

Do you want a toy house?

Yeah.

Yeah?

- Heavyyyy - Okay

we're not gonna get one today but maybe one day you'll get one.

"To foreshadow or portend."

House.

"We just went over this."

Like, a toy house?

Yeah.

Oh yeah? We can look at a toy house.

"But that's it!"

"I'll get some paper towels."

Do we need anything else?

Yeah.

What?

"Don't say it..."

House.

"Sigh."

"Everything is awesome"

Heavy heavy.

Is it heavy?

Yeah.

"like you wouldn't believe"

Throw.

What?

Throw.

Throw?

You can throw it.

"We about to get kicked the fuck outta here"

"I'm going to have to ask you both to leave"

"Yeah, it's me, Deadpool"

"Fuck the police"

"No, but seriously. I mean..."

"Fuck the police!"

House.

"Not this again"

What is this?

What is...

"You're a child?"

What?

"Settle down, Beavis"

We gotta keep movin we gotta keep movin

Here we go, ready?

Toys!

It's okay, we're gonna keep moving, okay?

"We're done here."

Cool park, huh?

Yeah.

Do you wanna go run around?

Yeah.

Okay.

"Run free"

"Well that didn't take long"

"Let me outta here!"

More.

"More?"

Yeah.

Helloooooo

"Hello."

Me.!

"Let's try this one more time"

Me?

Yeah.

You have to say "you"

Oh me.

say "you"

Ohhhhhh me!

"How can i explain this?"

Say you.

OHHHHHHH ME!

"We're in a fight"

You gotta say "me"

Or "you", say "you"

Oh me.

You.

Me.

Oh me.

You

Me.

"I don't know what else to say"

Ah ah me.

You.

Yeah, you!

"Fuck yeah!"

Awesome.

"So awesome."

Weeeeeeeeeee

Awesome!

"Totally awesome"

Here we go...

Whoa.

You got it?

Yeah.

"American Ninja Warrior"

"There is no limit to what this woman can do"

We'll go on the yellow one next time, okay?

But for right now we gotta get going.

We gotta get going.

"Why are you out of breath?"

Ashley, my wife, is a video producer at a local ad agency.

"What is this? Mad Men?"

A couple months ago she got put on a project with BECU, the local credit union, and University of Washington.

For the upcoming school year and upcoming football season.

"I never pegged you for a sports fan"

The original project was to take this 100 year-old fight song

["bow down to washington"]

"Ick"

["mighty are the men who wear the purple and then gold"]

"No thank you"

But basically the idea was to get in touch with successful and famous alumni from UW.

"Kenny G"

Have them perform this fight song and then kinda like

stitch it all together.

"A musical montage"

They put my wife on the project and she kinda wanted to do something a little more fresh

"A little something for the kids"

So she shot me a text

that was like, "do you think it'd be possible to take this 100 year-old fight song..."

"i can see where this is going"

"and like, remix it, in a way that was more modern."

"It's a hip, modern remake"

So i played around with it for like a day, and ultimately the answer was...

"No. Absolutely not."

Umm, because it really is just meandering the time signature is in 3 and it just wouldn't work, like...

as a pop music thing.

"Nope."

But i did say

that i would be happy to experiment a little bit and see if i could make something

out of it that wouldn't be an updated version of the song

but would just be a new thing, made with parts of that song.

"But much better"

So i ended up taking, kinda the hook of the fight song...

["bow down to washington"]

I adjusted the time signature so that it was in 4, not 3

"numbers"

Borrowed a bunch of the marching band horn parts...

[music plays]

but rearranged them just so they in, like, a more pop music structure.

And then i played it for her.

[music plays]

She dug it and we kinda like came up with this concept.

"We're kinda like a power-couple"

My wife has been working on this, like, night and day

and i mean, like, night and day.

Like, straight through.

"She's a hero"

Not just trying to coordinate all these different moving parts

but also, like,

making the process presentable to her clients, like to BECU and to UW.

"They're getting a little nervous back there"

All that is to say, she says it's gonna go live next week.

Which is why i'm shooting this... i think it's safe to talk about now...

"You're being sued."

I'm stoked, i've never really been involved in a commercial project that was so

focused on not just being authentic, but also, like, involving folks directly from the community

and making sure that everyone got paid to do the thing they're good at and that they love to do.

Like, that's very rare in the creative world.

"It's never happened before."

So i'm stoked for everybody to see it.

I hope you like it.

It was a lot of fun to make.

"What a sellout"

Do you want to be rich? Don't save money! - Duration: 10:52.

Hi guys! Today from Hawaii, from the Hanalei Beach on the paradise like island of Kauai called The Garden Island.

Today I will tell you why you shouldn't save money.

Stay with me till the end of this video. There will be a contest and something to win.

[Music]

Why shouldn't you save money? What I mean by that?

Most people try to conserve their money by saving up money every month, which is great.

And then trying to save it in a saving account or maybe leaving it on a bank account.

Or maybe even some people put it on the mattress and put them in the piggy bank.

And what most people don't realize is of course inflation.

Inflation is officially depending on your country, let's say, the Western countries between 2% and 2,5%.

But in reality if you take the amount of money created in the economy, the inflation is around 5%.

So, every year your money, the currency or let's say cash is eaten up by inflation.

Cash is eaten up by inflation. Let's say 2%-5%, depending on the country.

And if you keep your money in the piggy bank or in your mattress or on your bank account... this money loses its worth.

Its value, its purchasing power.

You may say "Of course, I don't keep it in a banking account, I keep it on my saving account and I get percentage on that".

But what you don't realize is the percentages on saving accounts are are always lower than the inflation rate.

They are always lower. So, it means even money on saving account, they don't grow.

They actually decrease. Their value decrease, their purchasing power decrease and every year you lose your money.

And on top of that you're exposed to the counterparty risk, meaning the bank can go bankrupt or experience a bail-out.

And then you say "But my money is insured in some fund or whatever".

Usually in the countries, at least in Europe, these pots with money that insure the banking accounts are so small that they won't cover a major crash.

If a major bank crashes, if a big bank crashes

And I assume you hold your money in a relevant bank, then these pots are not big enough to cover these bank accounts that will be affected.

So, it means you will probably get out, if you're lucky, 10% of your money. Probably 1% of your money.

So, you expose yourself, when you keep money in your bank to counterparty risk, to high risk of losing your money.

And the same is if you keep your money under the mattress. Your house can burn. Somebody can break into your house and steal your money, and so on...

There is always a risk of keeping cash.

So, what do you do if it is unwise to save money? What do you do?

Okay, you save up every month and there is a saying...

If you have more than $10,000 or let's say more than $20,000 on your bank account, you are stupid. Because this money shouldn't be lying around.

And losing its value. It should be invested.

So, why most people don't invest their money? Because they are lacking knowledge. They are lacking access to investment instruments.

That's why they actually don't invest money.

But amount you invest should be depending on the investment vehicle. Is it real estate? Is it stocks? Is it securities? Or maybe cryptocurrencies?

Depending on the instrument, there is a level of let's say, viable investment level that makes sense for this investment.

It doesn't make sense to invest in real estate, let's say $1000, because the fees would eat that up.

And they are not that small real estate objects.

But if you have $20,000, it starts to make sense to invest in real estate, depending on the country.

And of course, you can also split... there is like time share, stuff like that, that allows you to invest with smaller amounts of money.

In stock market you can invest starting with several hundred, maybe several thousands of dollars.

And in cryptocurrencies the limit is even lower. You can start practically with every amount of money that you can save up each month.

And invest it immediately in cryptocurrencies.

What is the difference between saving and investing?

The investment vehicles usually aren't affected by inflation. They may keep the value of your money or they may even increase the value of your money.

Of course, they can also go down, depending on the market conditions but generally they are unaffected by inflation.

They keep value independently of the inflation.

So, that's why you should invest in other vehicles. Don't keep cash in any form because it just makes sense.

So, that's what I wanted to tell you today about not saving money. You shouldn't save money. You should invest your money.

It's getting dark here in the hotel but I want to show you the swimming pool, the amenities here. The Westin in Hawaii.

So, I hope it helped you a little bit to manage your money and at the end I want to remind you I am not an investment advisor.

This is not an investment advise. I don't encourage anybody to do anything. To invest or not to invest.

I just want to tell you to take care of your money and not to lose your money by let's say saving money which actually doesn't save your money.

It lowers the purchasing power of your money, the value of your money, of your cash.

I hope you liked this video. If yes, give me a thum up! Subscribe below and don't forget to hit the bell button.

Share this video with your loved ones, with your friends. They will thank you for that.

I talk here a lot about money, about how the wealthiest people in the world think and act. How the self-made billionaires of this world think and act.

I talk also about cryptocurrencies, about my investments in cryptocurrencies. And I talk about doing the impossible.

Doing great things, doing big things.

So, I invite you to comment on that video. What is your perspective? What is your experience? What is your opinion on that topic?

And I promised you a contest at the beginning of this video. So, let's do the following.

Share this video on your social media, on your Twitter, maybe on your Facebook and add the hashtag #TheBillionDollarSecret.

I repeat it: #TheBillionDollarSecret

Among the best shares, among the most successfull, among the most creative, maybe the most effective shares I will choose one.

And the winner will get a copy of the book I've co-authored with Brian Tracy with the title "Ready, set, go!".

Brian Tracy is the greatest business teacher in the world. The best personal performence trainer and this is a special edition.

It looks like this. And the winner will get a copy of this special edition with my personal dedication.

So, it's worth trying, worth participating. I invite you to do that.

And if you liked this video, you will certainly like my other videos. I invite you to watch them. That's it from Hawaii.

I wish you a fantastic day. Let's do something extraordinary today!

rounds of questions that have been

submitted by the organizers of the forum

since we do have a time limit we may not

be able to get to all of the submitted

questions all of the candidates will

answer all of the questions and all of

their responses will be timed our timers

are out front where our candidates can

see them so let's begin by meeting the

candidates vying to represent Colorado

State House District number four as your

next representative the candidates are

standing left to right facing the

audience in the order that their names

will appear on the November ballot so

beginning at my right is Robert Dave

John and on my left is Adina Gonzales

Gutierrez let's welcome our candidates

to the forum today and one more note to

the candidates on behalf of the forum

organizers the audience here tonight and

our viewers at home we sincerely urge

you to be honest direct and forthright

to help the voters distinguish one

candidate from another we will begin

with with one-minute opening statements

from each candidates we will proceed in

ballot order with these statements so

once again starting at my right mr. John

your opening statement please and again

you have one minute my name is Robert

Dave John I'm proud to be the Republican

candidate for hd4 originally I was part

of the trumpian revolution that took

over Washington and I'm running because

I want to keep Colorado great it's a

wonderful place Serena and I live in one

of the best neighborhoods in the city

we're neighbors and after this is all

said and done will still be neighbors

will still work together to preserve our

neighborhood I can be contacted at Dave

for the number-10 ver at gmail.com or

303 eight nine eight four nine ninety

three thank you all right thank you Dave

and now an opening statement from is

Gonzalez bootie ettus hi I do want to

thank the organizers for putting this on

because it does take a lot of work my

name is sadhana Gonzalez Gutierrez and I

am the Democratic nominee running for

State Representative for House District

four I wear a couple of hats so not only

am i a candidate but I'm also a mother

of three beautiful children a wife and

partner to my husband of 14 years and

I'm also the director of a program

called the Denver collaborative

partnership where I work with children

youth and families in the City and

County of Denver I'm a third generation

Denver resident a sixth generation

Colorado and you know I owe a lot to

this community where I learned so much

this is the community where I learned to

stand up for myself and for others and I

really would be truly honored to serve

the people of House District four Thank

You Serena so now it's time for the

questions for the candidates each

candidate you will have one minute for

your answer and we'll start reverse

order from the opening statements so we

begin with sadena Gonzalez Gutierrez and

your first question is name two

important issues that you pledged to

reach across the aisle to the other

party to work for a Colorado so two

important issues you know you know

because of the work that I do at you

know I work with children youth and

families and I would believe that

the other crop the other side of the

aisle would be just as invested in those

kinds of values as well and so when I

think of those things I think of things

like juvenile justice making sure that

youth that are ending up in you know

these types of systems are receiving the

treatment that they need another area

that I would you know like to work on

some issues would be around education

making sure that again our children they

they we want to make sure that they're

set up in the best possible way and I

truly believe that people have that same

value and so in order to do that it

would take reaching across the aisle

making sure that we're funding our

education properly and that we're not

leaving anyone behind thank you said

Anna Dave the same question for you name

two important issues that you pledged to

reach across the aisle to the other

party to work hard for Colorado the most

important critical issue facing our

neighborhood our house district at the

moment is transportation traffic we're

headed towards gridlock I would hope we

could reach together to make sure the

highways are adequately funded to allow

people to get to work each and every day

both winter and summer bike lanes are

wonderful but people have to get to work

in the winter also and I would hope we

could reach across the aisle for that I

would hope we could reach across the

aisle on taxes I know we have a

disagreement about Tabor but we're going

to have to figure out a way to spend the

tax money coming in in an efficient

manner we're going to have to debate the

tax windfall because of the Trump tax

cuts that'll add fourteen hundred

dollars on average to every each and

every Colorado resident the pays

taxpayer and it doesn't matter if we

agree or disagree on issues we have to

reach across the aisle thank you

so on our next round our next question

for the

we will begin with mr. John and the next

question is what should the state do to

handle some of the mentally ill who

repeatedly end up in jail or homeless

instead of getting behavioral or mental

health assistance tough question without

inflicting on people's rights the

homeless have been with with us in

Denver from the very beginning of Denver

but when you're faced with a situation

where people will not get help

eventually you might have to incarcerate

them so they get that help I think of a

friend of mine son that was hooked on

heroin and went through several programs

and was unable to quit until he was

locked up and forced to change his ways

get better Oh scuse me but we're gonna

have to Amanda Mandy some of these

people get treatment chemical treatments

and our next person to answer is miss

Gonzalez Gutierrez again my question is

what should the state do to handle some

of the mentally ill who repeatedly end

up in jail or homeless instead of

getting behavioral or mental health

assistance so first off I want to say

that mental health and substance abuse

addiction are public health issues and

they should be treated as such

and I do not agree with soly

incarcerated individuals because they

have those particular health issues you

know I work with a lot of individuals

that are facing addiction that have

mental health issues and what we want to

do is make sure that they can be

reintegrated back into our communities

and receive the treatment and the

resources necessary so that they don't

either end up back incarcerated and

sometimes you know with mental health

and with substance abuse treatment it

doesn't just happen overnight and it

doesn't take one

time so it's about being persistent

having the you know resources in the

communities and not just incarcerated

individuals strictly because of that

fact okay our next round of questions

thank you we will start with Serena and

the next question is gentrification and

home affordability has become a major

issue in our city what can be done at

the state level to help yes I mean this

is something that I heard regularly when

I was knocking doors during the primary

I mean we knocked over 32,000 doors it

was amazing and affordable affordable

housing was one of the number one issues

that people talked about on the doors

and so that is something you know I've

talked about how do we create a fund at

the state level there are other

communities there are other states that

have a fund that they are able to use

you know whether it's taxes or credits

from when people are purchasing a home

to be able to build affordable housing

at a state level while partnering with

our municipalities the city of Denver

does have funding that has been set

aside to promote affordable housing but

I want to make sure that we're not just

looking at median income housing but

also low income housing and a lot of

times what I'm hearing as I'm going to

all the different R&O meetings is that

they are talking about this median

income and there is a high need for

low-income housing as well thank you

same question for you Dave and I'll

repeat it gentrification and home

affordability has become a major issue

in our city what can be done at the

state level to help at the state level

we are somewhat limited in our options

we can keep taxes low to keep the price

of housing in general lower we can

modify building codes at the state level

to allow the construction of smaller

more affordable housing

gentrification there's no fighting it

there's no stopping it it's inevitable

we have to learn to enjoy it help those

people learn how to enjoy Denver but the

state's options are limited primarily to

lowering taxes keeping expenses low

thank you

round for now Dave we'll we'll start

with you and again we'll have one minute

to answer who are the major contributors

to your election campaign myself I have

not solicited funds from my friends and

neighbors because of the overwhelming

vote totals by party in our district but

I felt the need to run anyway because we

should always have conflicting

viewpoints brought out into the open

opposition makes both of our arguments

better we want people to be involved

that's my goal but no I haven't raised

any money thank you for your answer

Serena the next the same question for

you who are the major contributors to

your election campaign so the major

contributors have been my friends my

family first and foremost in every which

way if we're talking financial

contributions that has been you know a

lot of friends and family and local

people in Colorado so individual donors

I have also received support from

various unions and organizations such as

SEIU afl-cio well you know folks in the

labor world pipefitters local 208 just

to name a few Colorado aft which is the

teachers as well as DC ta and so I have

received you know some good amount of

support from a lot of those

organizations as well thank you our next

round Serena this question starts with

you what concrete and measurable steps

will you take to learn how your

constituents feel about legislation that

could affect their na

hoods such as liquor and marijuana

licensing well as I mentioned earlier

the job that I do right now is the

director of the Denver collaborative

partnership and in that job I facilitate

Staffing's with families with other

agencies that sit around a table and we

work out plants with families and so I

say that because that would be a

somewhat of a similar model is about

coke governance and talking to the

community members that are being

impacted by these things and getting

their inputs because I am just one

person and I would hope that I can rely

upon my neighbors rely upon community

members to come to the table and talk

about these issues and so those are some

of the steps that I would take in order

to address those and of course doing

amounts of research to be well-informed

before going forward with any kind of

decisions thank you Dave the question to

you what concrete and measurable steps

will you take to learn how to your

constituents feel about legislation that

could affect your neighborhoods such as

liquor and marijuana licensing the most

important thing I would do is make

myself available to the constituents in

our district at all times both through

telephone email personal contact

fortunately in Denver we have registered

neighborhood organizations which are a

forum pre-existing forum which can be

used to contact constituents they meet

once a month I would endeavor to go to

them as often as I possibly could

I would avail myself of the resources

within the legislature the budget office

the Senate caucuses this house caucuses

and do research on my own but you know

the biggest thing is to make yourself

available all right mr. John we will

start

this next round of questions with you

and the question is what do you see as

the biggest challenge within your own

district and what has been or will be

your plan of action to resolve the issue

the biggest problem we have is traffic

development gentrification unfortunately

in the state scheme of things we can

only ameliorate the traffic make sure

that the routes state highways going in

and out of our neighborhoods are

accessible at all times are capable of

carrying the traffic needed for our

constituents the other two can't do much

about but traffic is the biggest thing

we can and should do something about

right now we're facing a closure on i-70

it's gonna block major traffic in Denver

we need to be talking about how to

resolve that thank you today another

question to you what do you see is the

biggest challenge within your own

district in what has been or will be

your plan of action to resolve the issue

sure so while knocking doors again I

think that the top three things that I

continue to hear on the doors were

affordable housing health care and

education those were the the top three

things and there are things that kind of

you know are involved in all three of

those things including things like a

living wage and you know access to

health care and if you don't make a

living wage how can you then afford

housing and so in order to address I

mean I know I named three but you know

it's going to take a lot of work it's

going to take just as mentioned before

is reaching across the aisle and and

bringing partnerships along with to go

on that journey and address all of those

issues and so I'm ready to do the work

and I'm ready to work with not only the

members of the district but colleagues

down at the State House okay thank you

so for the next round we're gonna do

what we call a lightning round so this

will be really fun I'll ask the

candidates a question and you can only

answer yes no or pass no expanding okay

okay

here we go we will start with sadena

sorry we're gonna start with date first

przemek remember which the way we

started okay first question yes no we're

pass amendment 64 legalizing the sale of

marijuana in Colorado passed nearly six

years ago before the law passed or after

have you sampled what the industry has

to offer not from the industry no

although I amendment yes narpath's no

yep yes I have to say yes all right next

question

start with Serena do you know what a

selfie is yes yes

starting with Dave do you get your news

from a traditional newspaper that is

when printed on paper no no should Mile

High Stadium starting with Serena be

sedate excuse me should Mile High

Stadium be moved or rebuilt somewhere

else to make way for the for more

housing development no what's the choice

now yeah I just realized to ask you yes

or no we're gonna do a do-over oh it

should should not face yeah I'm sorry no

no no you're absolutely right we'll do

it over should Mile High Stadium be

moved or rebuilt elsewhere to make way

for more housing so it's one question

should it be built or should it be moved

or rebuilt somewhere else so it's

either/or no sure yes or pass so should

it stay where it is

how should it be moved to rebuild I say

it should stay where it is if yes is to

stay I say stay okay our next question

starting with Dave do you or any family

member own a firearm yes yes last

question Sarah Anna you answer

do you currently own or do you plan to

own an electric car yes all right

no oh sorry no I do not ok let's give

the panelists a big round of applause

and the moderator alright for our next

round of questioning it's going to be

the candidates turn to ask the questions

of one another each of you will ask your

opponent a question and hopefully he or

she will have an answer for you we will

reverse the ballot order and begin with

Senna Gonzalez Gutierrez so Donna you

will ask Dave a question and Dave you

will have one minute to answer sorry

setting Dave what would be your plan to

properly fund education per pupil

because you know in Colorado we are

amongst the lowest I believe we're 48th

or 49th in the country and how we fund

our schools the best thing we can do is

reduce administrative expenses okay that

was under a minute now Dave it's your

turn to ask a question of side Anna and

you have one answer when I made it to

answer do you foresee a limit to raising

taxes in Colorado I think that's a

really you know big question to ask

without having all of the details and

that's something I would want to you

know I would want to do some more

research on and understand how that

would look you know I certainly don't

want to put you know constituents in a

bad place when it comes to taxes and you

know we'd want to have those

conversations very thoughtfully okay

let's do one more round of one-on-one

Dave now you can ask a question and

sadena you have one of the things that

anchors our society and nation is

property rights the right of people to

be secure in their own homes

do you support property rights

can I am I allowed to ask I'm not

allowed to ask a clarifying question or

no no I'm sorry can you repeat the

question

do you support property rights I

honestly I I need to know more

information on the property rights

before I can answer that question so I

feel like I can't give a okay okay all

right moving along today no now it's

your turn to ask Dave one and I think

you kind of mentioned this earlier but I

am still kind of curious as to why you

haven't filed a you know a Campaign

Committee you haven't filed for a

campaign committee with running for

office being a realist I have encouraged

people that have offered to support my

campaign financially to put their money

in races where there is much more even

numbers of Republicans and Democrats

where Republican candidates stand a very

good chance because one of the essential

things is that we maintain control of

the legislature both in the house and

the Senate all right all right that

brings us to the end of the one I want

questioning right yay

take a breath everyone and it's time now

for closing statements each candidate

will have a minute and a half for

closing statements which means and we'll

start with reverse reverse order of the

opening statements which means we will

begin with sadena Gonzalez Gutierrez you

have 90 seconds for your closing

statement

thank you so as I mentioned earlier my

husband and I we are raising the fourth

generation in North Denver my three

beautiful children and we're raising

them you know on the values of education

compassion and advocacy you know I see

it as our job as adults as community

members and leaders to lead by example

and leading by example with those values

I think we've talked about tonight how

Colorado has experienced tremendous

growth over the last decade and you know

that has left some

of our community members behind and left

them at a disadvantage really and so I

want to make sure that community members

are receiving their basic human rights

rights like rights to a living wage

rights to affordable housing to

affordable health care quality education

so that people can may remain remain in

their communities and not be

involuntarily displaced thank you

you know affordable health care is a

priority and must include mental health

and substance abuse treatment as well as

reproductive health care

I am completely honored to be the

Democratic nominee for House District 4

and to hopefully be this next state

representative and I am committed to

working and listening with the community

members so that we can build a strong

Colorado by building up our families and

building up our communities if anybody

cares to learn more about our campaign

you can visit my website at sadhana for

Colorado comm you can email me at

sadhana at sadhana for Colorado comm you

can also give me a phone call at seventy

two zero six six three eight four seven

three I welcome your support and I you

know I'm asking for you to vote sadhana

for House District four on November 6

sorry time I didn't I didn't see you

either thank you okay thank you

and now a closing statement from Roberts

Dave one of the primary reasons I'm

running is because I believe it that the

best thing we can do is keep taxes low

so people can afford to stay in their

own homes the best government we have

governance the least we don't need

government involvement in all sectors

people should do that at the local level

by themselves with the assistance of

government I support the right to keep

and bear arms and the one thing I would

like to do is increase vocational

education in

public schools for too long the edge'

Kratts have denigrated blue-collar

workers the blue-collar workers is what

keeps our society running

we need more plumbers we need more

electricians we need more sewer workers

and it should be the PARP should be part

of a education the availability of

education to do that and to have school

choice if you're not getting the right

education you want you should be able to

go somewhere else

alright now it's the audience's turned

let's show our appreciation to these

candidates for their participation skip

a big round of applause thank you to

both of you well done we hope we have

given you a fair look at each candidate

vying to represent you in Colorado State

House of Representatives from district 4

Why you should EAT my EGGS - Duration: 2:08.

Eggs.

I like eggs, you like eggs. Everybody likes eggs.

Eggs. We're talking about eggs. Now that the little brats

are back in school, mornings can be busy.

I'm teaching you the simplest breakfast egg recipe of all: eggs benedict.

But my special recipe should be our little secret.

Eggs.

Make hollandaise sauce for eggs benedict intimidates some people, but it's easy if you stay calm.

Stir 3 eggs yolks with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and a dab of butter over a flame.

Now we don't want to scramble the eggs yolks, so we're just going to use gentle heat.

I only put the yolks on the flame for seconds at a time. Once you've got them thick,

remove from the heat and add butter,

very little at a time beating vigorously until a half stick of butter is combined.

Set aside with a piece of foil on top. To poach an egg,

Into some simmering water, add some salt and a little vinegar, which helps the egg stay together.

Stir up a vortex, and gently slide your egg into the center.

The white will envelope the yolk and be ready in 2 minutes. Wow.

Remove, shape with a spooooon, and then place into ice water.

Layer your eggs benedict with a toasted English muffin, bacon, poached egg, hollandaise sauce, and cayenne pepper.

Wow. What a nice breakfast to feed your ungrateful little twits.

I mean...children.
