Caitlin Hill, Rich's Wife: Things Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Caitlin Hill (nee McClellan) is the wife of Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Rich Hill. Rich Hill and his Los Angeles Dodgers teammates have ridden their 2018 Postseason wave all the way to the big show.

Having dispatched the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship, the Dodgers are squaring off against the Boston Red Sox in the 2018 World Series.

Hill will get the ball in Game 2, after the Dodgers fell to the Sox in Game 1.

His wife, Caitlin, will be cheering on her husband with their son, Brice, as he pitches in his second consecutive World Series. Both Caitlin and Rich Hill are extremely private people and do not share very much on social media.

Here is what you need to know:.

She Attended Milton High School Where She Met Rich.

   .

Both Caitlin, 35, and Rich, 37, grew up in Massachusetts.

The two attended Milton High School and met when Rich was a sophomore and Caitlin was a freshman.

The couple is still very deep-rooted in their home state, and while they spend a good part of the year in California, they had been planning on building a home in Milton, so that they could be close to their families on holidays and during the off-season.

Milton is a town in Norfolk County that sits about 10 miles outside the city of Boston.

She Married Rich on November 11, 2007.

Caitlin and Rich Hill said their "I do's" in Massachusetts, obtaining a marriage license from the First Circuit Executive Court in Boston.

The two enjoyed a fall wedding on November 11, 2007, and exchanged their vows in front of family and friends.

The two settled down in South Boston and Hill played for the Boston Red Sox from 2010 through 2015.

He was traded to Oakland in 2016 before inking a deal with Los Angeles and moving his family to the west coast later that same year.

In an interview from earlier this year, Rich Hill talked about his career and referred to it as "our career," including his wife, who is a very big part of his life.

"There's a couple points in our career — and I say our career because my wife has been there every step of the way, and it's been an incredible journey.

And when we talk about perseverance it's really just, you know, not trying to be perfect as we're going through this life.

Because when we look back on the journey it is … it's a mess," Rich Hill told WBUR in January.

She Has 1 Son Named Brice & Lost Another Son Before He Turned 2 Months Old.

In 2011, the Hills became parents.

Their son Brice was born on October 7.

Two years later, the couple found out that they were expecting again.

Their son, Brooks, was born on December 26, 2013.

However, Brooks was born with several health issues.

"As the days and the weeks unfolded, we found out that he had lissencephaly, which is a smoothness of the brain and polymicrogyri[a] in the back of the brain where his neurons didn't fully form to where they should have connected in his brain, and also congenital nephrotic syndrome, where his kidneys were failing when he was born, right from day one.

So that was, when we found that out, that was extremely difficult," Rich Hill told WBUR.

Brooks ended up passing away before he was two months old.

"We had a son on Dec.

26, and he was born with multiple issues that we confronted and had to deal with as we were moving through the last couple of months at Mass General.

Unfortunately, he succumbed and he has passed.

He taught us a lot of things, and unfortunately, things didn't work out. My wife has been extremely strong.

Our son, who is 2½, is with us here down in Florida, so we are going to enjoy our time here and obviously make the most of the opportunity that's here to present itself to play baseball," Rich Hill said in a statement back in March 2014.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the couple has plans to set up a few scholarships in honor of their late son.

She Was Also an Athlete in School.

Caitlin understands the game of baseball in a different way because she has first-hand experience when it comes to playing.

She was an athlete in high school (and likely in college, though that cannot be confirmed).

According to the Los Angeles Times, Caitlin was a softball player.

Over the years, she has been able to help her husband through some of the tough times in his career and she'd even play catcher every now and again so that he could practice.

"When you're wintering in Massachusetts, the search for a space to throw is a logistical puzzle.

Obsessive about his routine, Hill had thrown against walls and asked Caitlin, a former softball player, to be his partner," the Los Angeles Times reported.

Caitlin has been a huge support system for her husband over the years and has been his rock through some of the toughest times.

Hill recalled confiding in his wife after a back injury had him sidelined.

"I feel like I can start again," he would tell her.

She Is a Nurse & a Full-Time Mom.

Although not too much is known about Caitlin Hill, several outlets confirm that she has a degree in nursing.

It is unknown whether or not Caitlin is currently working as a nurse.

She is a full-time mom, dedicated to raising the couple's 6-year-old son.

"We made the decision to live for Brooks, so, and with our son, Brice, and keeping Brooks' memory alive not only for us and everyone else but also for him, so he understands that he had a brother.

He had a brother and he has a brother.

He'll always bring up baby Brooks, and he'll mention he knows that he's in heaven, and if he finds a feather, he always thinks, he says baby Brooks is leaving him little messages and stuff like that.

He may not be with us physically, but we believe that he's with us every single day," Rich Hill told WBUR.

According to the Boston Globe, Caitlin brought Brice to watch his dad play in the World Series when Rich Hill got the start in Game 2.

Fans expect that Rich's wife and son will also be in attendance for  Game 6.

Larysa Switlyk: Things Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

"Taking pot shots at goats on a cliff.

What an absolutely disgusting human.".

The person being described is host of a hunting show aimed at women, though it appears she has a male following as well.

Floridan Larysa Switlyk travels the world hunting trophies while hawking hunting gear from ammunition to rifles, as can be seen in her Instagram where she tags sponsors in nearly all her posts like the one for her camo leggings designed with an AR15 emblazoned on the side.

Popular, she has 150,000 social media followers and videos on her YouTube channel have been viewed nearly half a million times.

Her hunting trip to the Scottish highlands where she stalked and killed sheep and goats has Scotland furious.

Here's what you need to know:.

Switlyk Tweeted & Took to Instagram to Pose With Her Goat & Sheep Trophy Kills & Scotts Took to Sharing Their Anger & Disgust.

. On her Instagram beginning Oct.

10, Switlyk shared posed images of her with her kills; two goats, one wild and one likely domestic, a domestic sheep and a Red deer stag.

Switlyk and three others stayed at a highlands castle on the Scottish island of Islay, where they stalked and killed grazing deer, wild goats and domestic farm animals.

And the images, glam shots of Switlyk and her kills, are designed to entice others to come to Scotland and do the same; she's selling tours.

"Beautiful wild goat here on the Island of Islay in Scotland.

Such a fun hunt!! They live on the edge of the cliffs of the island and know how to hide well.

We hunted hard for a big one for 2 days and finally got on this group.

Made a perfect 200 yard shot and dropped him with the @gunwerks and @nightforce_optics ! ( Good thing too because he could have ran off the cliff into the water).

Ever interested in hunting Scotland and doing some whisky tours, email larysa@detailcompany.com".

Switlyk posted images of her scoping out deer and lying in wait, with full makeup and sportswear she's selling, namely leggings.

"Feeling like royalty staying in the Mingary Castle and glassing for Red Stags with my @nightforce_optics spotting scope ~ @wsisports AR15 leggings.

She was also stalking deer and killed a stag that she posed in such a way if appears alive.

     .

"Beautiful hunt resulting in a Royal Scottish Stag ~ Interested in Hunting Scotland ? Email larysa@detailcompany.

com.

Switlyk Says She Was 'Big Game Hunting.' Locals Say She Hunted Livestock.

     .

Switlyk posted trophy photos of four killed animals, albeit posed to appear alive.

At least two described as domestic or farm animals.

She described (and hashtagged) her efforts as "big game hunting.

Commenters on her social, many who say they live on Islay, were not having it.

"That's someone's prize livestock! We don't have any wild sheep in Scotland.

Just open grazing.

Also the tups (rams) are usually tame because they need to be caught regularly for breeding," one wrote.

"I did wonder.

I have a friend who has blackies and he said that sheep's horns have been worked with.

Wonder if it has tags in its ears," asked another.

A black-faced sheep such as the ram she stalked and killed are domestically bred sheep raised for wool and meat.

The livestock graze on hills and mountains.

   .

"I live on Islay and there's a lot of people absolutely disgusted about this," one local wrote.

According to Visit Scotland, the Ardnamurchan peninsula is a "wild, remote yet beautiful place full of wonderful scenery situated on the west coast of Scotland.

" Described as unspolied, remote and teeming with wildlife including wild goats, deer, dolphins, whales and birds of prey, the terrain includes moors, forests, lochs and beaches on the Sanna Bay.

Scots Asked First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to Act.

She Tweeted Wednesday & a Petition to Parliament Was Created.

People wanted to know if trophy hunting is legal in Scotland and if is she alright with trophy hunting wild goats.

"Can't believe how many animals she has murdered while on her holiday in Scotland.

@NicolaSturgeon How can you let this happen?".

Sturgeon responded: "Totally understandable why the images from Islay of dead animals being held up as trophies is so upsetting and offensive to people.

@scotgov will review the current situation and consider whether changes to the law are required.".

Scores of comments on her post from Scots describe Switlyk as "cruel" and "sick" and not welcome in Scotland.

"If that is what you want to do then don't come anywhere near Scotland.

People like you are not wanted," one wrote.

"You should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves you abhorrent people.

Leave here, you're not welcome," wrote another.

A petition to Parliament to ban trophy hunting based on Switlyk's actions is gaining traction.

Her hunting and profiting off of it are called "senseless acts which are at odds with the peaceful surroundings of the island, and the nation.".

"Scotland is internationally renowned for its untouched nature and progressive social climate.

Hunting defenceless animals with high tech weapons for the sake of boasting is entirely at odds with the values of Scottish people.

It disturbs an ecosystem, and enforces human dominance on species that have coexisted symbiotically with locals for centuries.".

"Ms Switlyk has used her photos to advertise hunting experience tours to an American and international audience.

Trophy Hunting taints the image of our valued tourist industry, and puts the beauty of our long established natural habitat at risk.".

The petition on Change.org reads, "While we appreciate that certain types of stalking/hunting are frequently up for debate in parliament due to population control, this petition hopes that the Scottish government will recognise there is never justification for hunting native, peaceful species with high tech equipment for some absurd ego boost.

For these reasons, Trophy Hunting must be made a punishable crime throughout Scotland.".

While Scots Are Angry About Switlyk's Trophy Hunting, a Scottish 'Sporting Manager' in Ardnamurchan Guides Hunts There.

The last time Niall Rowantree tweeted was a year ago, and with just around 100 followers, he and the 'West Highland Hunting' group may not be well-known.

Indeed, a click on the link that's supposed to bring people to the Ardnamurchan Estates and Mingary Castle site, the location Switlyk tagged in her photos, has not yet launched and is "under construction." That said, there's an email address to contact for "sporting bookings.".

In an article from FieldSports magazine, it is shared that British primitive goats are rare and number less than 1,200 to 1,500; they are considered a domesticated goat.

But, the author, Simon Barr, wrote that "despite their relatively low number, the fact that wild goats browse rather than graze means they cause huge damage" to vegetation they can reach.

He writes that on his hunt, which he describes as among the most memorable of his life, the goats owing to their agility can "scale steep areas of hillside to feed, leading to increased soil and land erosion, while their ability to eat shoots and strip bark from trees poses problems for forestry and woodland management and biodiversity in these areas." A "controversial goat cull" followed.

The Scottish highland goats are among the earliest animals domesticated by people.

Resolve your hurts so you can be led by the Holy Spirit. - Duration: 1:10.

Let me save someone here the hassle of finding a new home church.

If at one time you attended and loved Village Church,

and suddenly began to feel the Holy Spirit leading you to leave and attend another church,

ironically at the same time as someone offended you, hurt you, said something to you,

forgot about you, or forgot to like one of your social media posts:

The Holy Spirit's not leading you.

Satan is.

And I'm not saying you're stuck with us 'till death do us part.

I get it. Of course God leads people, Christians, at some times to go to another church

that is committed to reaching skeptics, and reaching lost people.

And sometimes you can serve, or sometimes you need - or you move, or - I get it.

We understand all that.

But my point is, that if there's an offence or a hurt, and you're feeling led by the Holy Spirit

the truth is, your offence, and your hurt, is leading you. Not God.

So first resolve the issue, so that you can be led by the Holy Spirit.

Maybe you still need to move.

But resolve the issue first.

"If it is possible, as far as depends on you, live at peace with all men and all women."

Including those of us at Village Church.

Temptation and sin: How can you tell the difference? (Message) - Duration: 28:36.

If we don't understand what the difference is between sin and temptation,

then it's easy to come into condemnation and confusion,

when the intention is that we come to a victorious life.

So really understanding this, the difference between sin and temptation,

is the key to an overcoming life.

So, what is temptation? How are we tempted? Why are we tempted?

We can read that - James writes about that very clearly.

We can read that in James, chapter 1.

James 1 from verse 14:

"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.

Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin;

and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren."

Here it says that each one is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own desire.

It is easy for people to think temptation comes from the outside.

"He made me angry. The devil made me do it."

But that's not what it says in God's Word.

I am tempted because I am drawn and enticed by my own desire,

by that nature that I was born with - that lust that is inside me.

That is what causes me to be tempted.

And that is what makes it hopeful, because then I can do something about it.

I can't change everyone else so that they act in a way that it doesn't bother me.

That would be a really hard life.

But because the source of my temptation is within me, then I can do something about it.

Then it says,

In my temptation, that is where the lust and the desire in me becomes active.

It comes to me as a thought.

And there, just the fact that the thought comes and the temptation comes,

there is actually nothing wrong with that.

James writes further up in verse 2

that we should count it all joy when we come into various trials and temptations.

If it was wrong to be tempted, how could we count that as being joy?

But we can count it as joy because with the temptation,

we have an opportunity to get victory over that sin that is inside us.

We can deal with it, so that we can come to a happy life

where we are not controlled by those lusts and desires that dwell in us.

It is when lust conceives, and that takes an agreement in my mind,

when I give in to it, I agree with it,

then it gives birth to sin.

But if I don't agree with it, if that lust never conceives,

then sin never results, it never gets born.

Then the consequence of that, of sin being full-grown and bringing forth death,

that never has to be the fruit in our life.

On the contrary, we can come to good fruits, instead of it leading to death.

So, what can we do in the time of temptation?

How can we be one of these overcomers, one of these ones that never allows lusts to conceive?

Who always says no when that suggestion comes?

We can read that in Hebrews 4, some very amazing words are written here.

Hebrews 4:15:

"For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses."

There is a double negative there, so we can also read it this way:

"We do have a High Priest who can sympathize with our weaknesses,

who was tempted in all points as we are, yet without sin."

We have a High Priest, Jesus Christ, and He can sympathize with our weakness.

What is our weakness? What is our weakness as human beings?

Is it that we fall so easily in sin?

Is that what Jesus can sympathize with?

No, He was tempted in all points like we are, but without sin.

That's not what He sympathizes with, that we so easily fall.

What He can sympathize with is that it takes so little for us to be tempted.

Somebody just has to look at me the wrong way,

speak to me in the wrong tone of voice, and that desire is awakened inside.

He can sympathize with that.

Why can He sympathize with that? Because He knows what's it is like to be tempted.

He had a nature like ours and He was tempted in all points just as we are.

How are we tempted? I am tempted from within.

Jesus had it the same way. He was tempted in every point.

Can I be tempted in something that Jesus wasn't tempted in?

It says every point He was tempted, yet without sin.

That is what makes our High Priest so great, that He went through that for our sake.

He was tempted in every point, the same way we are, yet without sin.

That awakens a hope in our hearts now.

He came here to set an example for us.

He came to leave footsteps for us to follow in so that we also can be like Him.

We can be tempted in all points, and we experienced that,

but like Him: yet without sin. That is the gospel that Jesus came with.

Then the next verse becomes so hopeful, in verse 16:

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace,

that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in our time of need."

Because we know that we have a High Priest, a Savior,

who loves us, who knows what we are going through, who can sympathize with us,

then we can boldly go to the throne of grace in the midst of our temptations.

We can go to Him in prayer,

we can ask Him for help and we know that He sympathizes with us,

He knows what we are going through.

He is sitting there on the throne of grace making intercession for us,

that we also can overcome.

That's the High Priest that we have so that we can get help in our time of need.

And when is our time of need?

Is it when we have fallen?

That's too late then.

Our time of need is right in that moment of temptation.

We can go to the throne of grace and get help.

That's what grace is.

It's help. It's strength. It's power.

It's that resolute mind, that decision that I make,

that just like Jesus had it, I would rather die than sin.

We arm ourselves in advance with that mind that Jesus had.

That becomes a tremendous weapon against sin.

There where before we were weak,

and where our past experiences were that

"In that situation I always fall flat on my face, I just can't manage it, I am too weak."

Yes, that's how we are as human beings.

We are weak.

We can't stand against sin.

In my own strength, I can do nothing.

But is that God's intention that we should remain there in our own strength?

Here it's written about the throne of grace where we can get help

so that I no longer have to depend on my own strength.

I can get help that I didn't have before

so that my old experience of falling and falling and falling

doesn't determine my future experience, because something has changed now.

I have help.

I have a High Priest who is praying for me and gives me grace and strength

so that in the time of temptation I also can stand, I can say no.

In that moment of decision, I get power and strength to say no.

Instead of lust conceiving and giving birth to something horrible,

instead, something good can conceive,

something good takes place in my mind and in my heart

and it gives birth to something very good:

fruits of the Spirit.

Love, joy peace - all these things that I wasn't born with,

all these things that are God's promises for us that we can partake of.

I praise God and thank God that we as younger ones, we can use the grace that is over us.

We can be overcomers, we don't have to be slaves to our nature.

It can often be easy too to think that

"I am the only one who has it this bad,

I am tempted to this horrible thing and that horrible thing.

There must be something wrong with me."

But Jesus was tempted in all those points too

and He overcame, and He made a way through that.

I would like to read one more verse that confirms that.

We can read that in 1 Corinthians 10.

1 Corinthians 10:13.

"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man;

but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able,

but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."

There's no temptation that comes on your way, that you face, that isn't common to man.

We all have the same nature. There is one flesh in man.

The way that Jesus made goes through that so that we all have the same possibility to overcome it.

God arranges our situations so that it isn't beyond what we are able to manage

when we are humble.

In that temptation He makes the way of escape so that we can overcome it,

so that we can bear it.

What is that way of escape?

By going to the throne of grace, going to our High Priest

and asking Him for help and power so that we don't give in.

Then we find that way of escape, every single time.

That's our calling.

I praise and thank God for the victorious life that He has called us to.

Hallelujah, it is still the time of grace!

"Watch and pray," the trumpet sounds in every place.

By God's Word my heart is stirred,

And I know my prayers are heard;

I've the chance to hear but also do His Word.

O what a golden opportunity!

I'm tempted, and I see the sin that dwells in me.

In God's great might I will rise up and fight.

Each sin will be condemned, and victorious I'll stand!

It is glorious to hear God's Word today;

But God also longs that I in faith obey.

He with fire baptizes me,

And through battle I'm set free

From my wretched nature! What great liberty!

O what a golden opportunity!

I'm tempted, and I see the sin that dwells in me.

In God's great might I will rise up and fight.

Each sin will be condemned, and victorious I'll stand!

Though I'm weak, I am with God a mighty man!

When by faith I fight, no enemy can stand!

Now the way ahead I see.

Faith and power belong to me;

Every day becomes a day of liberty!

O what a golden opportunity!

I'm tempted, and I see the sin that dwells in me.

In God's great might I will rise up and fight.

Each sin will be condemned, and victorious I'll stand!

I am so happy that we can hear these things.

Think to be able to sit and listen to the Word of God

and receive it into your heart as the Word of God.

It's easy for a human being to say, "I believe in the Bible."

But the question that should come to us,

"Do I believe what the Bible says or do I believe what I think about the Bible."

When it says, like we heard now, that desire,

when it has conceived, brings forth sin.

Think about that. Desire, when it has conceived -

that place right there is where I can do something.

When we think about Adam and Eve,

when the serpent came to Eve and said

"Has God really said…?"

Then she quoted back and said "Yes, here is what God said."

If she had hung on to that even though she looked and saw that it was good,

it could be interesting, it could really do something for me.

But the Lord had said!

Had she held on to that Word,

then sin would not have conceived even though she was tempted.

And that's why when Peter writes that the Word of the Lord endures forever.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Word will never pass away.

Think about the power of God that is in His Word.

When it comes to a situation, you can't … She couldn't hold on to both.

She couldn't hold on to both.

She couldn't say, "Well, I am going to eat and still hang on to God's Word."

One of them had to be sacrificed.

One of them had to fade into the distance.

It was right at that point, where she pushed aside.

This is conscious. This is a conscious thing.

The situations of life, they chase out a consciousness of something in me that is selfish.

Then I have the opportunity to say,

"But I am not going to live that way.

I am going to hang on to God's Word and therefore I can overcome."

That's why it says in Revelations that

"He who overcomes," Jesus said, "just like I overcame."

How did He overcome? Think about it.

Think about what the Word of God says, don't think about your feelings in this.

Think about the Word of God. He who overcomes, even as I overcame.

How did He overcome?

Read the story of his temptations. How did He overcome?

He said, "It is written!" and then he stood on that firm foundation.

God has said I shall not and therefore I will not.

And sin was not conceived in Him, ever.

Not in one little circumstance did He ever give in and He is our forerunner.

Now we can follow Him.

We can take the Word of God, like it says in Psalms 119:

"How can a young person cleanse his way?

By taking heed according to Your word.

With my whole heart I have sought You;

Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!

Let me never push aside Your word and do what I am tempted to do.

The temptation, no problem.

Sin didn't come through temptation.

Sin came through disobedience.

That's the opportunity that we have in life.

"Help me!"

It says in Hebrews about Jesus, He cried out with loud cries and tears

to Him who was able to save Him from death.

The death of sin. He was heard because of His Godly fear.

"No, I want to keep your Word. I know everything else is going to pass away."

You don't have to be some kind of a scientist to know that everything will pass away.

Just look around!

Things deteriorate, pass away, they age.

Things pass away, but the word of Lord stands forever.

Why shouldn't I choose then, at that point,

rather to hang on to something that will last forever

and turn down that which is temporary.

Then it says Psalm 119:11,

"Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You."

Temptation we can't avoid.

But we can avoid this, "that I might not sin against You."

And I want to strengthen all of us: Let's hide the Word of God in our hearts.

Love the commandments.

Love the Word of God so much when our lusts rise up, we have something to fight with.

Arm yourself with the whole armor of God.

Be ready, you will be tempted. There is no question.

And by the Word of God and the power that God has given us through His Holy Spirit,

those temptations, those desires that come up in the temptation,

never need to conceive in us.

We can stand there together with Jesus, having overcome just as He overcame.

What a life! What a life!

How interesting to think about that.

This is just a desire. This is a desire I have, yes.

But extend it a little bit.

The desire, maybe envy, somebody else gets honor,

but look down the trail of envy and see the devastation on the trail of envy.

People who have given in to envy, people who have given in to impurity.

Look down that trail and see the devastation that it is causing.

Now you have a calling and an opportunity right in the temptation

to rise up above all that evil and conquer in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our forerunner.

And one day we will stand together with Him, having overcome.

What a life! What a good purpose in life here on earth.

God strengthen us in that direction.

Yes, that was really good.

As we heard, we can't avoid being tempted.

And Martin Luther said once that you can't stop a bird from flying over your head,

but you can stop him from building a nest.

And that's exactly how it is with temptations.

We can't avoid being tempted.

We can't help the fact that a thought comes through my mind.

That can feel dirty, because we are tempted to things that are bad and wrong.

It can feel like I am contaminated.

But have I agreed with it? Have I said yes?

Every temptation is a choice where I have the chance to say yes or no.

And if I didn't say yes to it, then I haven't fallen.

There we need to fight the fight of faith and not live according to our feelings

so that every time in our time of temptation

where I have the choice to agree with God's Word or to agree with my desire,

I say no.

Then I never have to sin.

That's our gospel, that's the good news that Jesus came with.

Have you heard of the way, yes, the new, living way,

Which was opened by Jesus, God's Son?

Have you heard, He came down, took all sin on Himself?

Have you heard how He wrestled and won?

For the way Jesus opened was through His own flesh.

All sin met its judgment and death.

When He cried, "It is finished," on Calvary's cross,

The way then was opened for us.

With strong crying in prayer He cried out to His God,

And with anguish and tears battled through!

From His brow His sweat came forth like great drops of blood,

For not once His own will would He do.

For the way Jesus opened was through His own flesh.

All sin met its judgment and death.

When He cried, "It is finished," on Calvary's cross,

The way then was opened for us.

Will you follow Him daily, denying yourself?

Will you walk on this new, living way?

Follow Him who when hated responded in love.

Will you walk in His steps every day?

For the way Jesus opened was through His own flesh.

All sin met its judgment and death.

When He cried, "It is finished," on Calvary's cross,

The way then was opened for us.

What they said about always having a word of God in your temptations, that really spoke to me.

When Jesus was in the wilderness and He was tempted,

then He answered back with "It is written."

And that's something that really spoke to me, and something that I can use in my battles.

I think it was really good for me what was said about

knowing the difference between temptation and sin.

Because it's very easy for me to be like,

"Oh, well I'm tempted to that, how can I let that into my mind?"

But it was really good for me to realize that even though it's there,

I have the choice to say "no" to it, and that's been a really big help.

For me, it's just really exciting to hear that I have a choice,

and that temptation isn't sin.

It's not the end point, it's not that I have sinned, but now I have a choice to make.

I can choose to not agree with that temptation.

It's always awesome for me to hear in James,

where it's written to count it all joy when you fall into various trials and temptations.

I sense for myself I have a way to go before it's "all joy," but I can get there.

It's written that I may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

That's a realistic goal for myself that I have, that I can be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

I have full faith in the Bible and in God's Word,

that Jesus will strengthen me in my battles here, that I can be faithful in my temptations.

Something that I thought was really, really cool to hear,

was that when you come into temptation, then you have a choice:

you have sin, and you have God's Word there.

And that's actually where it really, really matters.

It's whichever you choose to take with you, that's the one you have.

That's your choice that you are making and a conscious decision.

I thought that was really good and it's very important to think about actually.

To get that into your head: I have that choice, every day,

and I have to make it; I have to choose.

Logan Kyle & Sarah Parker: Things Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

A 22-year-old U.S.

Army soldier has been arrested along with his girlfriend after police say he killed his wife and then drove around with her body in the back of his girlfriend's car while looking for a place to bury her.

Authorities in Louisiana say the Fort Polk based soldier and his girlfriend were taken into custody on October 21 in Lake Charles after a traffic stop.

The soldier's girlfriend's two young children were in the car and his wife's body was found in the trunk, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office said in a press release.

The soldier, Logan Kyle, is being investigated by the U.S.

Army Criminal Investigation Command and charges are expected to be filed against him related to the homicide.

His girlfriend, 24-year-old Sarah Parker, of Moss Bluff, was charged by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office with obstruction of justice and failure to report a homicide.

Her children were taken into state custody by the Department of Children & Family Services.

The kids, ages 1 and 2, are now with their father and are safe, family members said on Facebook.

Authorities at Fort Polk identified Kyle's wife as 21-year-old Shelena Kyle.

The investigation into her death is ongoing and no details about how or when she died have been released.

Investigators at Fort Polk say they have learned Shelena Kyle was killed by her husband on the base and Parker knew about the killing and was helping Logan Kyle try to get rid of the body and hide.

It is not clear if Parker or Kyle have hired attorneys.

Here's what you need to know:.

Police Received a Tip That Parker & Kyle Were Driving Around With His Wife's Body in a Car After She Was Killed, the Sheriff Says.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office said in a statement that they received a tip about 9:30 p.m.

that a woman was driving around with a dead body in her trunk.

The tip was originally made to the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office and then passed on to the Calcasieu office, Sheriff Tony Mancuso said at a press conference.

"A short time later deputies located the car traveling on North Franklin Street in Lake Charles and conducted a stop.

While searching the car deputies located a deceased woman in the trunk of the car," the sheriff's office said.

"CPSO detectives contacted the U.S.

Army CID in reference to the homicide happening in Fort Polk.

They picked up Kyle, who was detained at CPSO and will be investigating the homicide.".

The sheriff said both Kyle and Parker confessed.

"We believe he killed his wife, put her in the trunk of the car, met up with Miss Parker and drove around several locations, through our investigation, some in Calcasieu Parish, some in other parishes to try to dump the body," Mancuso said at the press conference.

"We were able to locate them before, in fact, they conducted that particular act.

We contacted CID of the Army who is conducting the investigation, the murder, through our investigation we believe occurred on base, Fort Polk, so we will not be conducting that investigation, that will be up to CID with the Army, those are federal charges.".

Police have not revealed other details about the tip or how the tipster knew that there was a body in Parker's car.

"We did get confessions from both parties involved in this, and again, I don't want to be premature, because I know that CID with the Army has to do their investigation and continue on.

So we have a lot more to do in this investigation.

We are certainly not finished by any means and I think this is just kind of the basis and the start of what we believe were some strange events.".

The Sheriff Says Parker's Children Were at Risk Because Deputies Had to Make a 'Felony Stop' With Guns Drawn & Could Have Been in the Line of Fire.

Calcasieu Sheriff Tony Mancuso said the actions by Sarah Parker and Logan Kyle put her children in danger.

"To throw a kink in it, there were two children, ages 1 and 2, in the car with them," Mancuso said.

"And what disturbs us about that as law enforcement officers is when we come in contact it would not be abnormal for us to conduct what we could consider a felony stop on the vehicle.

And you know, if we had to shoot into this car because they were shooting back at us or for some other reason, we could have injured two innocent children.".

The sheriff did not provide other details about what led them to stop Parker's car, other than the tip.

"This is an open investigation, an ongoing investigation, and again, we got a call through Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office.

So I don't know who in fact ended up calling.

And I don't know if we would release that, I don't know if Beauregard would release that, I know we wouldn't release that if it was us.

But we did receive a call from Beauregard Sheriff's Office that this particular woman and this man were driving around with a body in the back of the car.".

Mancuso said Parker could face additional charges for putting the infants in a dangerous position.

"We may include more charges as the case progresses for cruelty to juveniles and other charges along with the suspect who we believe killed his wife.".

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of this Patriot Family member.

She was a member of our family and her death affects us all," Colonel Kendall J.

Clarke, the 3rd Brigade Combat Team commander, said in a statement.

"We send our most sincere condolences to her family and friends.".

In a letter to base personnel and families, Major General Walter Piatt, the commanding general of the 10th Mountain Division, addressed the "devastating loss" of "one of our own." He said, "I ask that you all who know this military life so well, also share the story of how she lived.

Even not knowing personally, we know of the many sacrifices she made on behalf of her country as a military spouse.

We know that at just 21 years of age, while her peers were likely concerned about far more trivial things, she was considering how wars abroad would affect her personally.".

Piatt added, "We know that she was an important part of our future readiness.

We know that losing her affects us all.

This is a devastating loss and if your grief becomes overwhelming, I urge you to find help.

Speak to a loved one, a friend, your chaplain or a professional, but do not suffer alone.

Please join me in holding her family and loved ones close to herat and honor them as all mourn Shelena's death.".
