How will you be voting on Prop 420? - Duration: 2:14.Of course 418 isn't the only proposition on the ballot. There are a number of others and for Flagstaff residents. In particular,
there are three that address public transportation.
One of those is proposition 420, which if passed will increase the sales tax within city limits,
with the intention of building an overpass to give downtown traffic
another option to avoid being stuck behind a train. NAZ Today's Joey Wright reports.
If you live in Flagstaff, you know the traffic
can be a nightmare especially downtown.
That's what proposition 420 is designed to address, but this is an image of the
Lone Tree railroad overpass. Prop manager of the Flagstaff metropolitan planning organization, David Wessel, says if proposition
420 passes, the city has a lot of work ahead of them. Wessel: "Building a
overpass connecting Butler to Route 66 up and over the railroad tracks at Lone Tree Road."
That's right, if passed you'll be able to go from here
to here without having to worry about this, but it's not going to be cheap. Wessel: "About 73 million dollars.
It's fairly expensive just because you're you're jumping over the railroad tracks." Plus making adjustments to Lone Tree and Route 66
at the new intersection and some purchasing power will be needed to pave the way. Wessel: "Because it's cutting across
properties and not just parallel to properties, like a road widening,
does involve the purchase or acquisition of several key parcels.
There are a handful, I think five homes,
that will be impacted." To pay for the project, the proposition will add a
0.23 percent sales tax on items that already have a sales tax for the next 20 years.
To put it in perspective, that would be a 23 cent tax on a hundred dollar purchase.
Aside from educating the public on the city's proposition, Wessel only has one piece of advice. Wessel: "I just encourage everybody to get out and vote"
Joey Wright, NAZ Today.

Tyler Perry Won't Ever Ride in the Tesla He Gave Tiffany Haddish - Duration: 5:21.-I want to say one more quick thing,
a nice thing that you did for this actor Geoffrey Owens.
-Oh, Geoffrey. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
-What was the whole story behind that?
-He was shamed for working for Trader Joe's, man.
You know, he's on the "Cosby Show."
-Of course. -And he had to do
what he had to do to support his family.
So when people tried to job shame him for working at
Trader Joe's, I'm like, "What are you saying, man?
He's an actor."
And the honorable part of it is that
he didn't mind going to work doing what he had to do, right?
-Absolutely. -So I called him down to Atlanta
and put him on some of these shows and it was great.
-You did? -Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
He did ten episodes of "The Haves and the Have Nots"
and he was grateful for it.
He didn't want any handouts, man.
He wanted to earn it, you know?
-Oh, I heard that. -And he was so good
and so professional. Such a man of great character.
-Good guy. That's awesome.
I like that.
[ Cheers and applause ]
Let's talk about "Nobody's Fool"
with Tiffany Haddish and Whoopi Goldberg.
Oh, my God. -Yeah, yeah.
-You know we love Whoopi Goldberg.
I love Tiffany, too, but Whoopi has a scene
where she's -- I don't know if we're going to show
that tonight, but -- -Every scene she steals.
-Dude, she really does.
And she's growing weed in her house, I know Whoopi.
-Yes, you know Whoopi. -She's a method actor?
[ Laughter ]
Okay, okay, let's say that, yeah.
But she does some scene where she's pretending
that she's cutting out on the cellphone --
-That was right. -But just having a conversation
at the window with somebody, and she's like,
"you're cutting out --" "You are not on the phone."
it's like we're talking to each other.
-"We're talking in person." "The connection's bad, babe.
I'm going -- I can't hear you." So good. So good.
-What is basically the plot of this is that
Tiffany is her daughter, one of her daughters.
-Yeah, Tiffany just gets out of jail and she moves in
with the more successful daughter
and that daughter is being catfished.
And I wrote this because I love "Catfish"
and I got the guys from "Catfish" to be in the movie.
-That's right. That's right. No, I love "Catfish" too.
-Yeah, they did a really good job.
Nev and Max did a really, really good job.
So it all evolves around them so it is really great.
-So -- and there's another line too
that really made me laugh, where it's like, Whoopi
is like, said to her daughter, "you got to take her
into your house because she took all the copper out of my house."
-Yeah, she stole all of the copper out of the house.
All the copper --
before she went to jail, she stole the copper.
She was like, "How the hell did she steal
the copper out of the QVC toaster?"
I mean, she sold all of the copper.
-That's such a good reference as stealing the copper.
Have you worked with Tiffany before?
-Yeah, I worked with Tiffany five years ago on my show,
"If Loving You is Wrong."
She was on the first season. -Oh, really?
-So yeah, so I was aware of the talent.
She was just bigger than what we were doing.
So to see this rise and this evolution, man, it's really
awesome for her. -She's got energy-plus, man.
-Oh, yeah, yeah, she does. -I've never seen --
-It doesn't turn off. -It does not.
-Yeah, no, that bunny can go to hell.
She's got all the energy.
[ Laughter ]
-Yeah, yeah. -She can beat that bunny.
Beat that bunny. -There's certain scenes
where I go, "Oh, he just probably let her go on this one.
-About 90 percent of it is the script.
Then there's 10 percent ad lib.
And being my first rated-R comedy, I had to go there,
so we got her and Whoopi
and a special guest cameo that I won't mention.
But he shocks you when he shows up.
-Dude, I went and everyone went. -Yeah.
-And at the screening, I said, "Oh, of course, it's so good."
-Yeah, yeah. -No spoilers.
-But I let them go and have fun. You don't bring that kind of
talent together and not let them have fun.
-No, exactly, that's what Whoopi was saying too about you.
She's like, "He just works so fast and you just trust him."
-10 days we shot this, yeah. -How?
-I don't have to answer to like 50 other executives saying
"Do this, do that, do this, do that."
And I know what I want and I know when I have it,
so we are able to move on.
It's not like I'm spending the whole day trying to shoot
three pages, it's crazy. -God, it's so good though.
-Yeah. -We are talking with Tiffany
and Tiffany said that she liked --
She was talking about how nice you were.
I heard that you got her a car? -Yeah, I gave her a car.
You know, she just started making money and people --
like when I first started making money,
I was afraid to spend anything.
And she's making all this money, and she wanted this Tesla.
I'm like, "Tiffany, buy it." "Oh, I'm gonna get it one day.
I'm going to get it one day." I'm like, "you can afford it
now, it's okay."
So I just sent it to her, and as a message
and a note to be like, "Listen, take this car
and know that everything is okay.
You've arrived, you're going to be around.
Just enjoy it.
at least take two or three percent, five percent,
10 percent, and enjoy it and spend it on yourself.
Because she's always thinking about others and her family.
I mean, she's wonderful, man. -Have you ever --
Has she taken you for a ride? -Hell no, I ain't going
no where in a car with Tiffany. Are you kidding me?
[ Laughter ]
Listen, Tiffany will be smoking weed, doing her eyelashes,
texting, driving. I'm like,
"I am not --" All at the same time.
No, I will not be in a car with Tiffany.
-You're smarter now. -Hell no!
[ Laughter ]
-I want to show everyone a clip.
Here's Tiffany Haddish in Tyler Perry's new movie,
"Nobody's Fool." Out this Friday.
Take a look at this.
-Check it out. My lower back gets stuck.
-Like this? -No, no, down low.
You got to get lower, baby. You got to bend over, baby.
You got to get a little lower. Get a little lower.
Yeah, yeah. Bend at the knees.
There you go. You feeling? You feeling me?
-Right here. -Yeah, right up in there.
You feel something warm? -Absolutely.
-It's a little, like, hot, little steam?
-Yeah, it's hot. Yeah. -Yeah, yeah.
Now put your two fingers in there.
You got to put two fingers up in there.
And whirl it around a little bit.
Yeah, and then move them around a little bit.
Yeah, move them around.
Now slowly, put them out.
You should feel a little click.
Go ahead and try it now.
-Mm.
-Look at that!
-Mm!
[ Laughs ]
Woo!
-Rated R, baby, rated R. -You know what I mean?
-Rated R, baby.
-Tyler Perry, everybody!
"Nobody's Fool."

Before You Vote: It's Okay to Disagree - Duration: 4:23.As you get ready for the elections this year, I want you to know something.
Chances are, someone that you do not want to win is going to win.
And that matters, and let me tell you why.
So 1958, you can imagine, they did a Gallup survey and they asked this question:
"Is it okay for your son or daughter to marry someone of a different race?"
So, an interracial relationship.
Of the whole population 1958,
only 4% of people said it was okay.
Now, we've kind of grown as a nation.
And if you do the same survey today,
87% of people say,
"Hey, no big deal.
If my son-in-law is black and I'm white, that's no big deal."
Well, what about politics?
Does it matter
who your son or daughter-in-law, or future son and daughter-in-law would be
as a Democrat or Republican?
Well, it turns out, it does matter.
They did a survey in 1958
and they asked this question.
All things being equal,
does it matter?
Well, 18% said I prefer a Democrat.
10% said a Republican, which might sound like a lot.
However, what that means is this:
72% of the population does not care, in 1958.
Do you think the same thing would be true today?
They did a survey.
And when they did it this time they said
28% would prefer a Democrat,
27% Republican,
which means that for more than half of the population,
it matters if you son or daughter-in-law
is a Democrat or a Republican.
Which also means,
it's not like when I go shopping for a car
and I want gray or grayer.
It doesn't really matter.
To a lot of people,
someone is going to be voted into office that you very
much disagree with.
What is that like
to serve under people that you disagree with?
Well, I think we look to the Bible and I've got
a section in the book of Daniel.
And it's got a lot of Old Testament words so stick with me.
So, just to get you up to date.
They wrapped around the city
and they took the stuff from their temple
and started using it in a pagan temple
and then one more thing:
Did you ever hear of Daniel?
Well, Daniel is, in this time, they besieged his city.
They take the stuff from his temple and now instead of being royalty in his hometown,
he now has to serve under a man who obviously does not believe in the same God.
So, what do we learn from this?
I think we learn this:
Just like Daniel, we have to look out and understand that God is ultimately in control.
Just like Daniel,
we have to understand that there's people in our political party,
and just because they're in your party doesn't mean you have to agree with what they say.
Some things they do are going to be good
and some things are going to be detestable.
You don't have to defend that.
But, just like Daniel,
we can advocate for the poor and just like Daniel,
we can pray to a God.
We know that God is in control.
And we can pray that God works in the minds and hearts of our officials
and that God helps them make wise decisions
that are good for all people, not just themselves.
Why don't we pray just for that.
Heavenly Father, we know you are in control
and there's days that are frustrating because we serve under people that we don't agree with.
But we know that you're going to take care of all things and most often you took care
of our salvation through Christ so help that be a security that we have
as we advocate for those who are marginalized and that don't have a voice.
And be with our officials.
We might not agree with them, but help them look in wisdom
for the good of our nation and not just themselves.
We ask this in your name.
Amen.
Obviously our world that we live in is getting farther and farther apart politically.
What are some things that you can do as a Christian,
what are some things that you see that we can live in this world?
I gave you a couple examples but I'd love to hear some of your examples:
what you do as a believer in a divided country.

Hell-O-Win - Jack - Duration: 11:49.Hello! Welcome to Hell- O - Win at CrisiMi Channel! It's that time of the year when
we celebrate our fears, and scary monsters, and greatest horrors.
And pretty much Halloween, which is a US celebration, conquered the entire world.
We also in Romania have adopted Halloween, and we're celebrating with costumes and parties,
especially, because it's about fear for fun now, but, maybe not everybody knows that Halloween
actually has some ancient traditions and origins from Europe. And still in entire Europe and Romania especially,
and in a lot of regions here, locally we have traditions that come from ages before Christianity,
and look exactly like Halloween. And although they are named differently, and people didn't make
a connection between them. It's all about this one night at the end of October,
when the veil between the world of the living, and the world of the spirits and the death, is no more.
What really happens on Halloween? Does the hell break loose?
Actually, humans like their fair share of scary, and confronting a little bit of fears.
And there's no wonder because brain chemicals and the body reaction in fear,
is quite similar to the rush of joy and excitement. So, yes, humans like to feel fear, however in a safe mode.
Because, yes, in this moment of the year, we play games with fear and, at the same time, we feel safe.
Because we know we control this fear, and we know, in the same time, that nothing bad happens to us,
Even if we provoke scary monsters, even if we mock them, and maybe we dress up like monsters,
in order to make the fear be scared of us!
Hey, the carving ain't easy! I think the pumpkin is too old.
You know, usually when we were kids we had absolutely no idea about Halloween.
But we also have this tradition, and we were doing it at the end of August or September.
So the pumpkins were fresh, and we could do this easyer.
It's a hell of, tough of a demon. Hell of a pumpkin! Yeah, thick as a baobab! This is the pumpkin from Hell!
But if you beat this pumpkin, no spirit is too evil for you. Yeah, it does the right thing.
Your mouth is gonna eat all the other demons around.

Easy Art Journaling with Distress Oxides, stencil, paste & WOW embossing - Duration: 8:24.Hi I'm Gerry from Gerry's Craft Room In this video I'm going to make another
art journal page for my mini album I start with applying distress oxide inks
with an ink blending tool I don't try to blend it perfectly because
it will not be visible later
by the way I added the products I used in the description box for you and
if you are new here don't forget to subscribe
and now I am going to do an ink lift with a stencil and water in a spray bottle
I spray some water from a distance 2 or 3 spritzes are enough
you don't want a puddle
then let it set a bit and blot it with kitchen paper
I added some water splats and blotted with kitchen paper
and now I'm going to add some Vaseline to make sure the distress oxide stays in place
it's not complete water proof but it will work great when I add gesso and paste later
now I dry brush gesso over my page
I keep adding gesso until I still can see the background but it's a bit toned down
Now I'm adding another layer of ink using a stencil
then I move the stencil a bit and I am going to apply ultra sparkle paste
and let it dry
I cut some flowers and colour them with the same ink
and then I move the colours a bit with the ink blending tool
and plastic wrap and some water
I sprinkle some embossing powder on the paste here and there
shake of the excess and then let it dry
some doodling on the flowers it will make them stand out a bit more
this is what it looks like after heat setting the embossing powder
and I'm finishing my page with the flowers and a sentiment
I hope you liked the video don't forget to like, share and subscribe
and I'll see you in the next video thanks for watching
