hey what's up you guys welcome back to my channel if you don't know who I am

I'm Sarah Starkiller and I make videos about movies and pop culture but today

I'm gonna do something a little different since Halloween is literally

right around the corner it is next wednesday I decided why not show you a few

little spooky treats that you can make in case you're gonna have a movie night

on Halloween or maybe this weekend to get yourself ready for Halloween

if you want to learn how to make in apple cider float they ask you how you

are you just have to say that you're fine when you're not really fine or a

creepy severed finger hotdog maybe you're ready for dessert and want a dirt

cup pumpkin patch well if you want any of these three things then keep watching

this video and I'll show you how to make them they're all very easy and very

quick and relatively easy cleanup and if you like this video as it is a very

different video than what I usually do then please let me know in the comments

down below and I'd love to make more little how-to snacks that are seamed

around parties and movies a little bit of disclaimer though I am NOT a DIY or

lifestyle or a Cooking Channel so bear with me if my instructions are a little

weird or a little off but if you have any questions definitely let me know in

the comments down below and I would love to clear anything up you may have

and then just move it to a plate so that they can cool down because we are about

to hold them and carve into them a little bit make sure to always be

careful we are gonna be making these look like fingers so we will need to

carve them out a little

and since it is a severed finger we are going to be adding ketchup down here

and there is your severed finger hot dog very easy and fun up next we're gonna be

making pumpkin patch dirt cups so we have our chocolate pudding we have milk

I'm using the almond milk because it's my fave is unsweetened we're gonna need

two cups of this and a whisk to put this all together so let's get that started

and since these will be dirt cups we do need the dirt right we're gonna use

Oreos you don't have to use mega stuff I just got those because whatever I don't

use I'm gonna eat I'm just gonna use a magic bullet so I'm gonna take these

measurements for this are not exact especially since I'm only gonna make one

for the camera and then everything else I'll just give to my family whenever so

just use as many Oreos as you need and we are going to put it in this little

clear cup make sure it's a clear cup so you can see how cute it is Oreo dirt

just so it's nice and layered up and another little scoop of our dirt so it

looks like this and you can add one more layer but

I don't want to throw these up too much and then we just put our little pumpkins

right here and then it looks like this this last portion is completely optional

it is to add a sour punch straw a green one so that it looks a little bit like a

vine so you just take it measure it out break it apart like that so looks like

they're attached to the vine but I personally don't really think that it

looks like a vine so I just don't want to add it but there's your little

pumpkin patch dirt

and last but not least it is actually my favorite one if you have some adults

around and maybe the night is winding down and you want a bit of an alcoholic

beverage get yourself in apple cider I really like this cider because it's not

too sweet especially since we are about to add scoops of pumpkin pie gelato this

is literally my favorite bottle opener because you just put it on the top and

beautiful support your cider of choice into your cup and open up your gelato

get that ice cream scoop I left this out for a little bit that's why it's so easy

drop that straight to get a little bit busy I'm only gonna do one scoop you can

do two but if you want to cut back on the sugar then go ahead and just do one

and it's just as yummy and you got yourself an apple cider flip

Sweet and tasty purple passion fruits - പര്‍പ്പിള്‍ പാഷന്‍ ഫൃൂട്ട്‌ ഫാം - Duration: 9:40.

Passion fruit is known for its disease-fighting capabilities

and at the same time is very tasty.

Today organic keralam is going to introduce you to a farmer

who grows passion fruit commercially and

earns a good profit out of it.

We formed a club named Mahatma Farmers club

registered under NABARD

after which we thought of passion fruit farming.

Now Mahatma Farmer's club aims to encourage

passion fruit farming in all parts of Kerala.

We have planted few farms in Trivandrum

and Kasargod areas.

Even though most of our houses do have a passion fruit plant,

we have not yet realized the benefits of passion fruit.

This fruit is highly rich in vitamin C

and hence is very good at fighting cancer.

Even though these things are not scientifically proved,

I can tell you this based on my experiences.

Many cancer patients who undergo

chemotherapy buy this fruit

in large quantities from us.

And also many doctors in Thrissur district recommend this fruit

to patients suffering from asthma and allergy.

Passion fruit has health benefits

and passion fruit farming is comparatively easier

as it is not affected by pests much.

Hence no pesticides or

chemical fertilizers are needed for passion fruit farming.

Mahatma farmers club has been carrying out passion fruit

farming for 4 years now

and based on my experience we have never

had to use any pesticides so far.

This variety of passion fruit is known by the name Kaveriya,

it is also known by the name Purple.

Here I have plucked a completely ripened fruit.

We crack open the fruit

and the seeds are taken by separating this yellow gel- like part.

The saplings are grown by sowing these seeds.

Like how we grow spinach, a platform is first created

and seeds are sown.

The sapling is transferred to a plastic grow bag

after 2-3 leaves appear.

While transferring the sapling to a grow bag the primary manure application

is carried out by mixing cow dung powder and goat dung

to the soil.

We transfer the sapling to the grow bag

containing the soil mixed with these ingredients.

After that, when the sapling grows 6-7 leaves

it is planted to the soil again

to get maximum growth.

While planting in the soil

we should dig a pit of one and a half feet height,

breadth and length.

Calcium oxide powder is then sprayed on to the pit.

We leave it so for a week

so that any pests in the soil will die out

and the pH value of the soil is stabilized.

After a week

cow dung powder and soil is mixed together

and the pit is covered with this soil and the

sapling is then planted.

One thing that needs to be kept in mind

while planting the sapling is that the soil should form a heap

of 2-3 inches above its surface

or else water gets stagnant near the stem of the saplings

and the plant gets decayed.

We have got many people complaining

that the sapling gets destroyed or becomes yellow in colour.

The main reason being,

water should never stagnate near the stem of the sapling.

Hence we should make a heap of 2-3 inches

of soil above the surface.

A wooden log is inserted

right next to the sapling

so that the creeper grows through it

One thing to be kept in mind

is until the creepers reach the top surface,

it should not develop any branches.

This is a one and a half inch diameter pipe.

We have cut full length pipe

into 3 equal parts.

Average length of the pipe is 7 feet.

One side of the pipe is closed

and a hook-like structure is inserted

so that the wires can go through it while constructing a creeper shed.

If we are fixing it on a concrete floor

we need to weld a portion of the iron and fix onto it.

To make a creeper shed, it is better to opt for a

concrete rod as it will last for years.

Manure application is needed twice a year.

Either cow dung or goat dung needs to be used.

While applying the manure

the soil should be slightly tilled

at a distance of one foot

from the root, the manure should then be applied

and the soil needs to be mixed well.

After planting the sapling to the soil

within 3 weeks to a month we should construct a shed for the creepers.

If we put in a rope from the roof of the shed

towards the plant, the creepers will grow up through the rope.

If we plant the saplings around November- December

we can get the first harvest around June-July-August months.

This shed is constructed in the

most cost-effective manner

using the stem of areca nut

and in between, we have used plastic wires.

As a starter, you can always go for such cost-effective sheds.

and later once you equip yourself with a proper understanding

of the farming techniques, one can move towards more cost-intensive sheds.

In passion fruit farming, maximum investment is needed for creeper shed

and you need to spend intensively for it only after

learning the basic aspects of passion fruit farming.

Anyways you will get a harvest

twice a year ie in the months of

October- November

and also around June.

After the harvest, during summer season

the creepers should be maintained

at a length of 1m on the roof of the shed

and rest should be cut off.

Only then, would it grow well and we could get a good harvest.

If we maintain the creeper as it is without cutting and trimming

the creepers, It would not give many fruits.

The purple breed, the fruit initially

will be green in colour,

when it changes its colour to yellow

it starts ripening

and the pulp inside would be yellow in colour.

Gradually it changes to a

purple colour and that is when we need to pluck the fruit.

Now mainly we sell the fruits

to those who come asking for it on our farm.

We sell at a rate of Rs 100 per kilogram.

And when we approach supermarkets,

some of them offer a

price of Rs100–Rs 150 for a kilogram.

For starters, if you are utilising an unused piece of land

where no other cultivation is carried out,

there is no doubt that

you can fetch a small profit out of this.
