What THE ROCK knows about Social Media (that most actors don't) - Duration: 4:07.

Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, is the perfect example

of someone who literally rocks their social media.

He consistently ranks as one

of the top actors on social media,

and he was just named the highest-paid actor in Hollywood.

Dwayne's social media presence and connection

to his followers is a huge part of his success.

Now, I hope you're training and taking acting class,

because at the end of the day,

that is the secret to a long-lasting career.

But up your social media powers

and you'll be unstoppable just like this guy.

Today I'm gonna break down the four things

that Mr. Johnson does consistently

that has helped him be unstoppable on social media.

If you're new here, I'm Heidi Dean,

and I teach you how to rock your social media,

make more connections,

and create the #ActorsLife of your dreams.

Make sure you subscribe to my channel

and hit that little bell (bell chimes)

so you always know when I have a new video just for you.

On social media, we are sharing more content

with more people more than ever.

And the love and the sharing is not random.

There are reasons we share that video of Boo,

the world's cutest dog,

or debate Yanny or Laurel for days.

Remember that?

Or watch the video of my three year old

singing Serpentine Fire

that recently went viral with almost a million views.

Studies have shown that there are four reasons people share

and engage on social media,

and these are the four things

that The Rock does consistently.

Number one, value.

We share to bring valuable

and entertaining content to others.

Number two, identity.

We share to define ourself to others,

to give them a better sense of who we are and what we love.

Now, identity is where I see actors

making the biggest mistake,

and we'll talk about how The Rock approaches this perfectly

in just a sec.

The third reason people share is community.

We share to grow and nourish our relationships.

This includes sharing to support causes we believe in

or even brands we support.

And lastly, posts that tap into emotions are contagious.

It's one of the reasons why inspirational quotes are one

of the most shared things on social media.

Fans and followers love them

because by lifting them up, you improve their lives.

So next time you post,

I want you to think about these four reasons

why people would like or share your posts.

It's easy to remember.

Just remember V-I-C-E, VICE,

value, identity, community, and emotion.

If your posts bring value, help them get to know you better,

encourage community, or touch us emotionally,

they'll get more shares, likes, double taps, and comments.

Like I said, The Rock is a perfect example

of someone who consistently does all four very well.

He also gives his community valuable

and entertaining content.

He is one of the best at authentically engaging

with his community.

He inspires his fans by being someone we aspire to be.

And super important, his posts give us a backstage pass

into his life as an actor and a person.

We know about his beautiful daughters,

his cute little dog who eats up his couch,

we know how dedicated he is to the gym,

all from social media, and especially his Instagram.

This is something I see so many actors struggle with,

but I wanna fix that.

I have a free class for actors

that's gonna help you put more of you in your grid.

And I'll make sure I put the link

to that Instagram class for actors in the description below.

Lastly, another great thing we can learn

from The Rock is that he doesn't censor his social media

to create the perfect version of himself.

He uses social media to laugh about his weaknesses

and mistakes and maybe struggles that he's dealt with

in his life that might actually help his followers.

That has made him super relatable and human.

He posts like a boss, a rock star,

whatever you wanna call it, and you can too if you remember

to create posts with VICE in mind.

Thank you so much for joining me and Dwayne here today.

Make sure you grab your spot

in that free Instagram class for actors,

and I will see you on social.

Bye.

Do You Need Disability Insurance? | No Dumb Questions with Nancy Graham - Duration: 6:06.

Are you so wealthy that you could quit your job today and live large for as long as you

please?

Maybe you're one of those big lottery winners who is still only working because it's so

darn fun.

Yeah, me neither.

That's why my husband and I both have our own disability insurance policies of our own.

Nobody expects or wants to consider having to put their career on hold.

But it happens … far more often than you might think.

When it does, the financial fall-out can be utilized as well.

That's why I typically recommend a dependable disability policy for your household breadwinners.

And, by the way, just because you have a group policy at work doesn't mean you can depend

on it, come what may.

So, how do you make sure you've got coverage that's cost-effective, and reliable in a

pinch?

I'll cover that "No Dumb Question" today.

Odds are, you'll find my future installments helpful too, so to insure continued coverage,

subscribe to my YouTube channel or follow me on LinkedIn.

Today's "No Dumb Question" is going to be about disability insurance.

But first, let me ask you this: What's your take on black swans?

Believe it or not, this is a related question.

Besides being a big, dark bird, a black swan is also an industry term.

It refers to life events that you're convinced will never happen to you … but if lightning

does strike, the consequences are monumental.

A good black swan is winning an all-expense-paid European vacation.

A bad black swan is a fire destroying your home.

Or an accident or illness that clips the wings of your career.

In fact, disabilities are more like grey swans.

Because it's not all that unusual for a disability to take you out of play for a few

months …. a year … maybe forever.

During the course of your career, odds may be as high as one in four that you'll become

disabled for 90 days or longer before reaching age 65.

That's according to stats drawn from a Canadian Institute of Actuaries and 2012 Society of

Actuaries Committee table.

If we faced those sorts of odds for winning the Powerball lottery, we'd all be buying

a ticket every day!

Similarly, if you have a paycheck you'd miss if it stopped coming for a while -- or

forever, why not secure some disability insurance to carry you through?

Insurance is all about covering you for these sorts of "swan" events for pennies on

the dollar.

That said, you don't want to over-feather an insurance provider's nest by buying too

much or the wrong kind of coverage.

Today, I'll give you some pointers to consider.

First, let's take a closer look at the typical group disability coverage you may- already

have on the job.

Even if you're part of an employer's plan, stick around, because your tail feathers may

not be as covered as you'd like.

Usually a group plan will offer a short-term income replacement policy for a while – say

a few months – before long-term disability coverage begins.

Suddenly the details of your group plan that you've maybe never read before become the

most important determinant of your ongoing livelihood.

Here's what to look for: Make sure you're covered for accidents and

illness.

If you really want to protect your financial well-being, you want a policy that essentially

says: If you're disabled, you're disabled – never mind the cause.

Also, how long will you have to wait before long-term payments kick in?

A typical group plan may say something like, "You have to be unable to work for 120 days

before benefits begin."

But beware: If you return to work for even a few days during the interim, the "counter"

might start all over again.

Plus, look for caps or other conditions that could curtail how much of your current income

is fully replaced.

Finally, what is required to get paid?

A common description goes something like this: "If you are unable to do the most of the

important duties of your regular job, you'll receive X or Y benefits."

But often, those "X" or "Y" factors change if you're disabled for more than

two years.

At that point, some group policies may cut off payments, and only keep paying at all

if you're unable to return to any job.

This could obligate you to go back to your position even if you don't feel ready.

That's not good for you, your family, your coworkers or your clients, who depend on you

giving your all.

Worse, it could force you to switch careers – and income stream – from, say, high-end

lawyer to minimum-wage bottle-washer.

There's nothing wrong with downshifting your career because you want to.

But you really don't ever want to have to.

That's why many families' breadwinners are well-served by buying a disability policy

of their own.

It's nice to have terms you control – No matter who your employer is … what arrangements

they've made on your behalf (which, by the way, may be subject to change) … or where

your career takes you.

Having your own disability insurance lets you lock in favorable terms and level costs

at the outset.

You can ensure your policy will cover you if you can no longer continue in your regular

occupation … versus any old job.

You can also ensure coverage continues until retirement and/or pension benefits kick in

… instead of some arbitrary timeframe set by somebody else.

You also have more flexibility to change your coverage if your circumstances change.

Bottom line, I like to compare disability premiums to the costs you invest in professional

development.

Both are aimed at securing your career-related income, come what may.

I sincerely hope you'll never need to tap into any disability insurance.

But if a black swan ever does darken your door, having dependable coverage already in

place means your life's hopes and dreams won't have to fly away too.

What other questions can I cover for you?

Today's video is hardly my swan song on how to make the most of your personal and

professional income.

Keep your questions coming, and I'll do the same with my answers.

Do Negative Thoughts Become Reality? - Duration: 9:48.

So the question today is, "Do negative thoughts become reality?" That is a great

question to ask—especially if the reality that you're living in right now

is not exactly what you want. How is it we can do some amazing and sometimes

unexplainable things like heal our own bodies by the power of our thought

mother's intuition the law of attraction can we really tap into our subconscious

mind can we really create our own realities it begs the question are we

novice gods

hi Scott Wilhite here thanks so much for joining me we are looking on this

documentary series as a big bold question are we novice gods in other

words do we have divine DNA are we children of God and can we do some

amazing things right now well one of the things is do we create our own reality

you know and do negative thoughts create a reality maybe a reality that we don't

want well first what does it mean that we create our own reality I'd like to

look at that and kind of unpack that for a minute now when I first heard that we

create our own realities I thought man that is just a bunch of hokey poo excuse

the language but I mean I didn't believe that that was true I mean what is what

is real is real what's true is true I mean there's just one truth and you know

I took the world at face value and I just believe that what you see is what

you get then I have come to discover that we actually do create our own

reality but it's not it's not in some mystical crazy fashion it is how we

react and respond or actually how the universe reacts in response to us in our

belief systems so let me explain that first of all so you know I thought when

people said that we create our own reality is that like that just you know

for some people that they create people that have like antennas on their heads

and all kinds of crazy stuff no I don't think so I think it is that we create

how the universe responds to us now the universe is this amazing system of

intelligences and energy that all are orchestrated by God and are in constant

motion and and have amazing powers and we can tap into those powers through our

belief through our faith through the energy that we exhibit so what happens

is we decide how the universe responds to us Albert Einstein said the what it

would see the wrote down I want to make sure I told it to you right he said the

most important decision we make is whether

we believe we live in a friendly or a hostile universe now the reason that

that's important is because we have this decision we choose whether we believe

you know or whether we live I mean no we would choose that whether we believe it

but whether we believe we live in a hostile or a friendly universe and if we

believe that it is a friendly universe then that gives us more opportunity to

use use the universe around and to create the kinds of abundance and the

wonderful things that we want so what we're doing is we decide how the

universe responds to us does it respond hostile or does it respond friendly you

know in agreement with us and in cooperation with us so I wanted it so

anyway so what happens when we say we create our own reality what we're in

what we're really saying is we create how the universe responds around us and

so it's not like we change people and like what things look like but we can

change kind of the laws no you know that how they respond let me give you a few

examples so let's look at the placebo effect

okay the placebo effect is this thing that happens because of people's beliefs

it's this amazing thing you know about the place of equal effect right you know

it's where doctors or you know drug companies will test people and they will

give them a real drug and they will give them a fake drug and sometimes it's a

medicine pill or something and they test to see how they to respond and the

amazing thing is is the placebo effect is always there and people used to get

really upset and think that it got in the way of real science but really what

it shows is the power of our belief that if we believe a medicine is going to

cure us it does if we believe that these treatments are going to do good things

for us it does what we believe

changes our reality our bodies can respond using the universe using these

god-given I believe powers within us we can change those things according to the

power of our belief now the question that we're looking at though is do our

negative thoughts become reality unfortunately that is also true see

along with the placebo effect they are studying than know how much am I saying

this right the nocebo effect and it's the opposite can we create negative

outcomes in our lives can we actually do harm through our beliefs the answer is

yes so here are a few things that they've been testing this to kind of see

you know what is what is possible with our belief system so a few little things

we can create skin rashes they have had asthma attacks gluten I can't I can't

read my writing there but reactions to gluten and cognitive performance has

been affected you know people thought they were getting a sedative and so they

actually start acting sleepier and and tired and responding yeah you know not

as sharp as they would because they believe in these negative effects of the

medicine so here they have a 2014 study of a patient and what what they did it

was they had all these antidepressants and they were giving them

antidepressants and about 12 weeks into the into the clinical trial they told

some of them that we may be giving you a placebo now and when they when they told

them that then suddenly their reaction levels to the drugs started to go down

and the people actually became more depressed and were not responding as

they were before to the drug that had been working for them see they when they

believed that it wasn't really going to be effective for them suddenly it

stopped being effective so it's the exact opposite of the placebo effect

where we believe good things are going to happen and that is all based on how

convincingly the doctors give it to us how persuasive they are in helping us

believe this is going to help us and it's actually not the medicine that's

actually not the treatment that does it it is us we create our own reality does

that make sense to you anyway that works for me now it took me a long time to

really get my hands around this we create our own reality mumbo jumbo but

now that I see that now that I see that what it is is we we can shape how the

universe responds around us that opens up a lot of possibilities for us that

means there is more positive stuff I can do in my life deliberately intentionally

if I get conscious and create these things intentionally in my life so what

can you create what are you looking to bring about in your life that you can

bring about through the power of your thoughts through the power of your

belief through what I think is your divine DNA it all comes down to our

expectations what do you expect will happen if you can deliberately

intentionally change your expectations to where you expect positive things to

happen in your life I believe you can bring about great

wonderful things you can create abundance in your life and you can be

more of the Creator that you were really meant to be I'd love to hear your

thoughts on this if you believe okay yes we create our own reality will you right

yes I believe down in the comment section below if you say no I still

don't believe it I want to hear from you too I'd love to

know kind of what you're thinking you know what you what you think about all

these ideas and what the possibilities could be like for you again I believe

that we're children of God I believe we have his creative power within us and I

believe that he has given us the opportunity right now to tap into that

so I'm interested in finding out how to do it more consistently more regularly

and with greater accurate how about you I hope this stirred some

questions in your soul are you more connected to higher power than you think

do you have divine DNA let's keep asking questions click on my face to subscribe

6 Benefits of Green Bananas that You Probably Don't Know About

Did you know that the development of cancer has a lot to do with the state of your body's pH? If it's too acidic, you're more likely to suffer from this disease, so you should opt for more alkaline foods.

Learn about these foods in this article!.

The number of people suffering from cancer in the world is shocking.

You probably know more than one person with this disease.

It's no coincidence that cancer is the leading cause of death around the world.

One of the main triggers seems to be the kind of diet you have.

In today's article, we'll tell you about the relationship between alkaline foods and cancer prevention.

What's an alkaline food?.

Before we start talking about how it affects your health, it's a good idea to understand what the "alkaline diet" is all about.

This kind of diet is based on the consumption of foods that raise the pH of your bloodstream and avoid creating an acidic environment where viruses and cancer cells can develop.

Following this diet is as simple as choosing more alkaline foods than acidic options and cooking with healthier methods.

For example, foods that are raw or steamed are better than those that are fried.

Which foods are alkaline?.

If you want to prevent cancer (among other diseases) and feel healthy, eating alkaline foods is essential.

These are the most significant foods in this category:.

Raw vegetables.

Although some vegetables are inherently acidic, once they enter your body, they become alkaline.

Eating them raw will allow you take advantage of all of their nutrients(because many of them are lost when cooked at high temperatures or in boiling water).

Add these vegetables to your daily diet:.

Asparagus Cabbage Broccoli Kale Brussels sprouts Eggplant Garlic Chives Onions Celery Cucumbers Peppers Carrots Lettuce Endive Watercress Beets.

Fruit.

Fruit has amazing alkalizing powers – even fruit that has a low pH, such as citrus fruits.

You can eat fruit at breakfast, mid-morning, or for dessert.

Fruit provides plenty of vitamins, and also serve to ward off cancer! The most recommended fruits are:.

Apples Apricots Avocados Bananas Berries, blackberries, cherries Watermelon Coconut Nuts.

All of these provide beneficial fatty acids and also have the ability to raise your body's pH.

There are plenty of myths that revolve around nuts because they're high in calories.

The truth, however, is that they're excellent for the prevention of heart disease and even promote weight loss because they're so filling.

Millet.

This is the only whole grain that is considered to be 100% alkalizing.

That doesn't meant that the others are detrimental to your health, but if you have to make a choice, opt for millet.

For these purposes, you should consume it after it has been soaked in water and then cooked.

Try it on burgers or as a filling for other recipes!.

Honey.

This product of the hard work of bees is highly alkaline, as well as being an excellent natural antibiotic that you should always have in your medicine cabinet.

Use it to sweeten teas or desserts, or consume it when you have the flu or a cold.

Chlorophyll.

This plant-based green juice is rich in enzymes and nutrients that are well worth taking advantage of.

The gel from aloe vera is one of the most well known and commonly consumed varieties, but it's not the only one.

You can make wheat grass and dilute it with water, for example, to enjoy its benefits during the early hours of the day.

An alkaline diet and cancer.

We've already shown you the most alkaline food choices, but you still don't know why they help prevent cancer.

First of all, you should recognize that your body's cells require glucose and oxygen (among other nutrients) to survive and carry out their tasks.

When you can't provide what your cells need, it makes them weak, and this is when diseases strike.

Also, when your body is too acidic, it weakens your immune systemand you can no longer protect yourself from attack.

Cancer cells can thrive in a pH of 7.4.

When it reaches 8.4 (alkaline), however, they die off automatically.

On the other hand, if your body is very acidic, the cancer cells can reproduce more quickly.

A diet based on alkaline foods raises the body's pH and decreases the ability of harmful cells to develop and survive.

By strengthening your immune system, the good cells have the oxygen they need to expel toxins and waste products.

When your tissues and organs are acidic, it's because they don't receive enough oxygen – perfect for cancer!.

On the other hand, if they are alkaline, the good cells can develop and your immune system will reinforce itself by not being filled with toxins.

Consuming alkaline foods is synonymous with having a healthy diet, which, as you know, has additional benefits such as lowering your cholesterol, fighting obesity, and avoiding heart problems.

But what foods should you avoid when you're trying to make your body more alkaline?.

Dairy (butter, milk, cheese) Meat (red meat, pork, veal, chicken) Seafood and oysters Certain nuts (cashews, peanuts, pistachios) Refined flour (including cookies and pastries) Sauces and dressings (tomato, soy, mustard, mayonnaise, and vinegar-based).

3 Ways To Reach Millennial Voters: Jake Mikva, GoodWerk | NewFounders - Duration: 1:16.

We think it's a mistake to try to make millennials more political,

and instead the solution should be to make politics more millennial.

the research shows when you take a first step like giving,

or showing up to canvas or phone bank that first time,

you're that much more likely to participate in all of the other

political actions that make you a good citizen.

we built our platform around political giving.

But you never meet a young person who puts in 5, or 10, or 20 dollars into a campaign they believe in,

and then says, "Oh, I was too busy to vote this November."

The act of buying into a candidate or campaign they believe in

I think is very powerful.

Organizing where they are which is something we hear a lot--

translating the real life experiences of millennials into

stories about what that means in the political space.

We tend to think that millennials are incredibly strong civic actors,

and just seem to be bad voters.

So, tying civic actions that they already take to the voting process

seems to be the best thing that we can do.

to continue to support the kind of civic actors

that are near the voting space, but aren't, I mean, what the kids at the March for our Lives are doing,

and it's phenomenal and changing the way that young people engage with lots of institutions,

not just the political ones, and just to support the work that they're doing.

Lesson 56 - IN THE SUPERMARKET

Ufff

This week I have not had time to go to the supermarket.

And I see that many things are missing in the fridge.

Yesterday I wanted to go but in the end I had to do thousand things.

I better make a list with all the things that I need ... Mmmm.

I have to go through the butcher shop to buy some chicken breast and veal,

by the fish market to buy salmon and sardines, by the delicatessen to buy some serrano ham,

for the greengrocer to buy peaches and oranges,

a kilo of lettuce in the grocery store, prawns in the seafood restaurant ...

My God, do I rent a truck to bring all the things?

And everything is very expensive despite the crisis.

Last week I paid more than one hundred euros on the electricity bill.

I already paid a fortune this month.

I do not arrive at the end of the month.

Hello Esteban!

What are you doing in this supermarket?

I have never come to this supermarket but it is close to work and I have taken the opportunity to do some shopping.

The truth is that this supermarket is cheap.

Yes, I always come here because this year I have ruined myself with all the expenses that I have made.

Even bread is becoming a luxury.

I see that you are very loaded.

Your cart is very full.

Have you bought food to feed a regiment?

Hahaha!

No, yesterday my friends and I agreed to organize a surprise party for a friend.

We decided to plan a special celebration with lots of champagne, seafood, snacks, etc.

Last year we did not do anything for her birthday and it seemed a bit annoying but this year

we have thought about compensating with this great party.

Now I want to pay but there is a long line.

Let's see what time it came to cash.

Yes, and the cashier seems very overwhelmed.

I think he's had too much work this afternoon.

By the way, what are you doing on Saturday for the night?

Nothing special.

This month I have hardly left home.

I look like a hermit.

Nothing happens.

You can come with us to the party.

How good!

Do I buy almonds, peanuts and nuts?

More snacks?

You do not have to buy anything.

You are a special guest.

But I have always been very precise.

The last time I went to a party I bought a bottle of red wine

Well, you can buy a French wine from denomination of origin and caviar.

Attendees go crazy.

My mother!

Either it's a party for posh or you want to exploit me.

Mentoring 2 – LIVE THE LIFE YOU WANT | ME x YOU x US - Duration: 4:40.

Hi young talent! You're watching ME x YOU x US

the web TV show to empower the potential of youth

Today we speak about

how to design your life as you want it

Let's go!

Desired life in 2 words?

Dream

real

This it it

This is to live your dream

live your passion day to day

There is a number of steps that can help us

achieve our dreams and goals with more ease

And it's Anthony Robbins who gives us

some guidelines and good tips to follow

First advice:

1. Make a list of your dreams and desires

to have a clear idea of what you are seeking

of what you want

2. Then you have to estimate the time

to be aimed for reaching your goals

It's important to have a deadline

Third step is:

3. Define 3 to 5 main & essential objectives

be precise

be fully committed

regularly evaluate

and measure if you are always in due course

if you are on the right path

if you are still efficient

Sometimes you'll have to modify some of your basic objectives

so to stay aligned with your core values

and with what you assess as important in your way of working

And more than anything:

stay positive as much as possible

Never give up

believe it's gonna happen

even though you face failures and despite hardships

big or small that could come on your way

4. Then: resources

They might be role models that you can pay attention to

people that inspire you

either from your family

or others well-known people such as celebrities

When you imitate

you collect all the good they might teach you

and moreover you surpass yourself

There are also the most memorable moments of your life

that remind you that you have been strong

that you have succeeded

and that you have been proud of yourself several times

Thus it helps you

by giving you back energy

strength and self-confidence

5. Know what are your own limits

you certainly have a few

either fear

or money and time for instance

It's often time that we are lacking

So have a look at them

6. Also what is your action plan

Evaluate once more what is a priority

whereas what can wait

An action plan always clear and precise

What is also great is to consult what I call

7. the ''Board of Wise People''

Those who could give you pieces of advice in real time

if they were present and suggest you things to do

A way for you to cheer you up

to have your mentors by your side

Invent a conversation with them

they will know what to tell you

In the end it'll be you talking with yourself

but it'll be gratifying and reassuring for you

It's more valid because it's someone else who tells you so and that rather suits you fine

than if it's on your behalf because you could call the advice into question

Another significant advice is to mentally visualize

8. your ideal, perfect day

The one that could exactly represent

the person you want to be

that you already are but help to grow

So think about it

How could be an all day long

and what you may be called on to do

In a larger scope of your life

not only work

because everything is interconnected

So treat yourself:

imagine your perfect day

How would it start?

With a cup of coffee or a swim in the lake?

Each of us has her/his own vision of life of the perfect day

So create your own

Thus we notice a plurality of possibilities

a range of possibilities

a plethora of possibilities

French is so rich in beautiful words

You may guess one of my passions…

So yes, writing

So all these possibilities

that allow you to be who you want

do what you want

own anything you wish for

and undertake everything that thrills you, motivates you

That you love

Everything is possible don't forget!

We'll meet up in another video

We gonna have fun together

and talk about other subjects like this

so to inspire and guide you

I'm sure that in a short time you'll tell me:

You know what? I ran for my passion now

Thank you!

We see each other soon. By!

Oh and thumbs-up ! ;)
