🏆What Would YOU Want to Be World Champion of?★Marcus Body Coding [Part 15]★The DAY1 Journey Ep. 34★ - Duration: 6:16.

like welcome to day one journey episode 34 part 15 of my story Marcus body

coding this episode we'll get the ridiculous level much higher are you

ready for that are you ready for that we have high energy today

let's go so in order to set the ridiculous level even higher let me

remind what we said last episodes last episodes I told you that I'm going to

this is a YouTube channel Marcus body going it's the YouTube channel free

tutorials forever biggest video library footwork body isolation spins but it's

relevant for all dances then I said it's a language not just tutorials it's also

a language the footwork is the language I'll take this language these words I

created sentences and then paragraphs so choreographies

and these choreographies

will be open source also for free forever for free on YouTube that was the

ridiculousness of last episode are you ready for more more ridiculous level

let's set it even higher let's set it even higher I'll take one of these

choreographies I'll take one of these choreographies go to the world salsa

championship to the solo division and I am going to win the world salsa

championship solo division with that choreography ridiculous or not

ridiculous let's add even more... after I do that performance after I win

I will put that choreography for free open source

like all the other choreographies ridiculous ridiculous or more ridiculous

what is your option and you know what I'll tell you a secret 30% of this

choreography at least 30% is already on YouTube because it will be created

from the same words already on YouTube as for today 2018 July you have more

than 120 videos just footwork tutorials and 30% of them will be part of the

choreography ridiculous not ridiculous but some of you might

might not know me well enough to really understand how ridiculous it really is

the World Championship thing because you might say well you're a professional

dancer... Well let's let's set a few things straight and I'll be super

honest here I have no professional background I've never learned dance

professionally okay never I started dancing a very late age of 20 or 21 or

22 I'm not flexible even I cannot even touch my toes yeah you know some

things are very basic and my opponents again the people that I think that I

think that I can win and I will win they are 10 years younger than me I'm

34 almost they are 10 years younger than me with 10 or 15 extra years of

experience than me this is 20 years ahead of me and I'm still

not there I'm still not there for the technique I still lack very basic stuff

with the technique with the hands many of these stuff won't talk

about them today but this how ridiculous it really is for me to win it you know

this is Latin competition all the winners from all the years in this

division were Latin is their language this is their culture this is

their music I needed to force myself to even like this music so I like this

salsa music I don't even love the salsa music you said that yeah this is me

being honest I don't really like salsa music I now I listen to it and...

but that's the truth you know the truth doesn't always seem nice or something

but it doesn't make it not the truth so we are out of time but wait wait just just

one part this is my story so will this be the end of the story?

like after I win the World Cup the World

Championship would this be the end the end of the story?

we don't have enough time to talk about that so let's talk about that in next

episode of course tomorrow until tomorrow I want you to think about one

thing what happened after you get to the dream you pick another dream you go

to Jamaica sit on the beach with with a glass of wine or beer what

happens next think about it imagine what happens

the day afterwards that's for you to think about next episode I will share what I

would do and what that meaning is for me

so until tomorrow have

an amazing and day one

4 Awesome Discoveries You Probably Didn't Hear About This Week - Episode 18 - Duration: 2:18.

We're back!

With four awesome discoveries you probably didn't hear about… this week.

Crazy about kudzu?

Ecstatic about English Ivy?

Well, they could be a bummer for birds.

Non-native plants are extremely poor at supporting insects.

A new study says yards dominated by non-native plants have fewer arthropods,

like caterpillars and spiders.

That spells bad news for birds like the Carolina Chickadee,

that depend on this food for their young.

But don't mourn your morning glory just yet.

Plant your yard with more than 70 percent native plants, and insects –

and birds -- should thrive.

Engineers have modeled how the neurodegenerative diseases, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and

Lou Gehrig's, or ALS, spread through the brain – often stealthily, over decades.

Combining data from diseased brains and mathematical modeling, the researchers were able to simulate

how clumps of defective proteins spread in a process that can take up to 30 years.

The team foresees a day in the future when they'll be able to calibrate their models

to make accurate, patient-specific predictions.

Turns out freshwater mussel shells are like tree rings.

The layers let you count back the seasons and years and document contaminants in the

water during specific times.

A new study found that elevated levels of strontium -- an element associated with fracking

and conventional oil and gas development –

accumulated in mussel shells downstream from fracking

wastewater-disposal sites, even after the wastewater was no longer being released.

Now the team wants to see what other pollutants mussel shells record.

They could be on to a new environmental engineering tool for health and safety.

You've heard of gene sequencing, and now there's a breakthrough in protein sequencing

– identifying the series of amino acids in individual proteins.

With their new method, called single molecule fluorosequencing, researchers can now sequence

millions of individual protein molecules simultaneously in a single sample.

This advance could have a major impact on biomedical research, making it possible to

study diseases such as cancer in a whole new way

and providing earlier, more accurate diagnoses for patients.

And there you go!

See you next time with four more awesome discoveries with funding from NSF.
