organized their homes can be sometimes

it takes a little whimsy to be able to

pull it off but most of the time all it

takes is a little elbow grease some easy

solutions and willingness to declutter

your life a worst case scenario

situation is if someone has a home like

one of those hoarder homes that you see

on reality TV if this is the case they

should always seek additional help from

a medical professional cleaning a home

like that would no doubt become a

traumatic experience for the owner for

the most part it's easier than ever to

clean and organize your living space

there are countless ideas on the

internet that you can consult and we

ideas here now keep watching for 21

habits of people who keep their homes

extremely clean and make sure that you

stick around till the very end to find

out the number one surprising cleaning

habit that you probably didn't know

about number 21 everything should have

its place a clean and organized home is

a happy home if you find that your

living spaces whether it be your kitchen

bathroom bedroom living room or office

or getting too cluttered a great way to

reduce that clutter is to designate a

space for each and every item if there

isn't room for it ask yourself how badly

do I need this chances are that you'll

have no problem tossing it or donating

it to charity

number 20 utilize your dishwasher a

dishwasher can be used to wash a great

deal more than just your dishes take

your air vent grates for example or

perhaps an old floor mat the dishwasher

creates great sanitizing temperatures

that clean bacteria and grime from

virtually any surface it's especially

great for children's toys however always

check your products manual before

putting foreign objects not intended for

the dishwasher in it number 19 use a saw

to clean window blinds a sock is a

fantastic way to catch all the dust and

soot build-up that has been accumulating

on your window blinds it's relatively

malleable so it will fit in your hand

quite nicely use it to even clean hard

to reach areas like corners and under

the sofa

number 18 lint rollers Rock a lint

roller really is your best friend not

only are these little handy tools

amazing for pulling unwanted lint and

fibers off your jacket it's also a

fantastic way to clean that stubborn

collection of dust off your lampshade

can you think of any other clever way to

use a lint roller I'm sure there's a ton

out there number 17 clean your kitchen

knife holders believe it or not those

little kitchen knife holders can contain

a lot of crumbs debris and residue if

not cleaned regularly to do this you'll

need to purchase a can of air from any

major retail department store but to

save money a high-powered air dryer with

that nose attachment will do just as

well know about any of these cleaning

hacks yet keep watching for some even

more amazing cleaning hacks number 16

wash your shower curtains you wouldn't

believe how many people's homes have a

great deal of soap scum and residue on

their shower curtains

most curtains are easily detachable and

machine washable and you remember the

last time you washed your shower curtain

if it's beyond mending in terms of

buildup perhaps it's time to purchase a

new shower curtain altogether

number 15 toilet paper rolls make great

vacuum attachments do you have a heart

to reach place that no vacuum attachment

can seem to reach grab yourself an old

paper towel roll or toilet paper roll

you can shape it into any crevice

especially those hard-to-reach windows

and door cracks number 14 turn on your

AC while dusting turning on your air

conditioning unit if you have a small

portable one rather than central air is

a great way to get airflow while you're

dusting your shelves the AC will suck up

the air in your home and push it out the

window however if you intend to clean

out your AC turning it off is a more

appropriate solution number 13

using baskets and trays to organize

clutter a great way to eliminate things

floating around your kitchen counter is

to designate a basket or a tray for one

corner of your kitchen if what you see

cannot fit in this tray then into the

cupboard it goes there's no need to have

absolutely everything out all the time

only the essentials number 12

duct tape and a paint roller duct tape

wrapped neatly around an old paint

roller is a fantastic way to collect and

remove any unwanted pet fur this is

especially useful on fabrics such as

velvet or corduroy where pet hair is

really tricky to get out you can also

use this to get rid of stuck on dust

bunnies in the underside of couches or a

bed frame number 11 tape your pet bowls

down tighter of your messy cat or dog

spilling their food everywhere a great

way to prevent this is to tape the ball

directly to the ground this will also

help your animal properly consume their

meal without having their ball sliding

all over the place number 10 grapefruit

and salt grab a large grapefruit and a

package of coarse sea salt and cut the

grapefruit in half add a good deal of

coarse sea salt into the fleshy part of

the fruit and presto you have yourself a

great sink cleanser this will leave your

kitchen smelling absolutely amazing and

the salt combined with the acidity in

the fruit will cut through the dirt in

the grime you could also use a lemon or

an orange if you'd prefer number nine

organize your cleaners tired of sifting

through cupboards for every manner of

cleaning product get one of those shoe

organizing door hangers and use them for

bottles of cleaning spray instead of

shoes chances are you already have one

of those lying around in your house

somewhere

why not repurpose it number eight a

tension bar under the sink similarly to

the shoe organizer

you can also use a tension bar under

your kitchen sink to properly store all

of your spray nozzle cleaning supplies

in a nice organized manner you can also

fasten hooks to the bar and add

alternative products that aren't so easy

to hang number seven giant Tupperware

and garbage there's nothing worse than

someone offering you a ride someplace

and their car is filled with garbage we

can't imagine anything more embarrassing

than having to push a side of chocolate

bar wrapper coffee cups and Kansa soda

out of the way to allow your passenger

to sit down a great way to reduce

clutter in your cars by adding a large

Tupperware container meant for cereals

or pasta line it with a garbage bag and

seal it with a top lid number 6 use your

squeegee another amazing use for a

squeegee is to use it to clean your

carpets from unwanted hair and debris a

squeegee adds enough friction and

abrasive pull that it will suck any

animal fur

in hair lint and dust bunnies out of

your carpet seriously try it you'll be

amazed with the results number five

magical toothpaste toothpaste is a

fantastic way to keep your teeth clean

but did you know that you can also use

it to clean off old foggy headlights on

your vehicle the results are staggering

just apply some toothpaste to a thick

brush not wire put a little elbow grease

on and go to town number four use your

power tools a great way to reduce time

on scrubbing that stubborn bathtub of

yours is to utilize a drill with a

special scrub brush attachment keep your

tools away from the water as much as

possible but this is a fantastic way to

get through tough grime on your tiles

without putting in the extra elbow

grease number three no more Swiffer

sheets use a cloth an old towel or cloth

on the bottom of your Swiffer it works

just as well if not better then the

static cling sheets the company provides

not only is this a great way to save

money but it's a very good way to save

the environment from excess waste as

well for a wet job simply dampen the

towel before using number two tinfoil a

really fun way to help cut down on

cleanup after painting your home is to

line your paint tray with tinfoil a

thick layer should prevent any paint

from reaching the tray itself which will

help preserve it for future use now if

you're really cheap you might be able to

return the tray to the store but you

didn't hear that from us and now here is

the number one cleaning hack that you

probably didn't even know about number

one coffee filters

chances are you have a stack of old

coffee filters laying around that you

will never use well one way to utilize

those suckers is to wash your windows

and electronics with them coffee filters

naturally reduce streaks when used to

clean shiny surfaces they are also great

static clings for dust what are some of

your favorite cleaning hacks let us know

Wood Burning/Painting For Inktober - Duration: 6:56.

Hey, guys! it's Lolly Bee and today I'm going to be doing something a little different today. So let's get started!

So I recently joined a collaboration channel called the "Art Warriors" and I will put a link in the description

so you guys can check it out 'cuz there's some really awesome artists on there.

And our focus this month was traditional art because of inktober,

so I really couldn't pass up the chance to work with one of my favorite traditional mediums, which is wood burning

So here I have my wood burner it is a walnut hollow wood burner,

I got it at Hobby Lobby probably for around $20. Wood-burning is a relatively inexpensive hobby

I really like this one because I can gauge the temperature with the little knobby thing (Laughter)

And on it I have a little rounded point nib

The wood plaque I have here is actually from Walmart believe it or not

They sell their wood less expensive than most craft stores

and so that's where I get my my wooden supplies unless I'm buying in bulk.

I used a template off of Pinterest for this piece and just a free font app for the words.

The pencil I used for transferring was a pro art in 8B

Transferring can be done many different ways. But this is the way I do it because it's just simple for me (laughter)

The tracing paper I used for this was also from Hobby Lobby, not sponsored, (laughter) and it's studio 71.

It's extremely sturdy, so I definitely recommend it.

So a small rundown on this art medium is, yes,

it's kind of dangerous and it does get extremely hot. But if anybody could do any damage with this thing, it would be me (laughter)

I'm extremely clumsy, and I've dropped it on carpet before,

but I've never caught anything on fire or hurt myself with it

So just, you know, use common sense and try not to drop it like me (laughter)

Also in a few seconds here. It's gonna speed up,

but I will just say that wood burning takes

extreme patience that I actually don't have (laughter)

Wood burning can be very difficult for me because it's a very slow tedious process. I think this took me about an hour.

So if you have a lot of patience then this art medium is perfect for you, but if not,

and you're like me, then I really try to use it as a way to teach myself patience (laughter)

Also, I know the cute fall decorations look very Pinteresty or YouTubery, I don't know what you call it, but

I was actually just trying to put something there

that would keep me from moving the plaque just far in a way cuz I was doing it in a very weird angle

So...yeah, the decorations have ulterior motive (laughter)

So I guess you could say one of my signature things that I do when I wood burn is I paint

some sort of aspect of the piece and

Today, I actually decided to paint almost all of it, I guess

So for starters, I used an Artist's Loft I-don't-know-how-to-pronounce-it blue (laughter)

Artist loft I think is a Hobby Lobby brand?

And I used an Artist's Loft

paint brush as well, which was quite a coincidence actually because I don't always match the the paint with the

paintbrush, so today I guess I just got lucky (laughter)

I wanted to create a sort of Aztec

feeling with the paint that I put in the background

and so I used the edges of my brush and made those mini strokes and then kind of blended them with water

just a little bit.

After that, I wasn't quite satisfied with it, so I decided to paint the horse as well.

I'm not sure if that was altogether the best decision, but I don't think I ruined it either (laughter)

So I used an Art Studio Brown. It doesn't list what specific color, but it's

kind of light and I also used this brush...

I don't know where I got this brush and it doesn't have a name but it's an angled tip in size 8.

Yeah, my supplies are a little hodgepodge and

not technically like all these expensive professional brands...

So I never know quite when I'm getting my hands on, but, uh, I think I do okay for the fact that it's

low-quality stuff (laughter)

So this was the final product

I went back afterwards and darkened up the brown and paint look better and forgot to video it,

but anyway

I hope you enjoyed this video and maybe it inspired you to try out a new medium!

if you have any questions about this particular medium, please don't hesitate to ask me! I've been

working with it for a couple of years so I know

some things about it (laughter). If there's a particular medium you'd like to see me try please let me know in the comments!

As always, thanks for watching, and I will see you again in another video! Bye!!!

10 Things I HATE About Being an Entrepreneur, after a Decade as an Entrepreneur - Duration: 8:56.

10 Things I Hate About Being an Entrepreneur, after a Decade as an Entrepreneur

I started my first business when I was a boy of 15 and for the first time, I fell in love

with the concept of creating a product or service and make money doing so.

At 21, I went fully into the business world and here I am today, wondering, "Does it

really worth it?"

I would say YES, if I consider the freedom and the cash but like everything, there are

things I just don't like about being an entrepreneur.

In this video, I'll be sharing with you 10 things I hate about running a business

and I hope some of these points prepare you to become a better entrepreneur.

If you're new here, consider subscribing so that you won't miss other interesting

videos like this.

No. 1 Launching a product no one wants

About six months ago, I and one of my friends were crazy about a new concept.

We thought we've discovered another great business idea that would make us a lot of

money.

We worked nights and days and made a lot of sacrifices to meet up with our launch date

only for us to arrive at that day and be disappointed.

But maybe there was something we didn't get right.

Let's change few things and run few more ads.

Unhc!

Nobody wanted out product.

If you've been an entrepreneur for any reasonable period of time, you must have experienced

this more than a few times.

I've experienced this again and again, creating a product you think the whole world would

love only to discover that your mother-in-law is your only customer, writing a book you

think your entire country would read only to see that your best friends are the only

ones who care Hahaha…

I hate this.

But what is the way out of this?

There's no permanent solution but some precautions are;

Don't create a product based on what you think or what others tell you.

Create product or service based on people's behavior.

People will buy more of what they are already buying and they will always buy the better

version of what they have bought before.

No. 2 Having no certainty

I woke up last July to the news that later led to the loss of one of our business'

assets.

This single situation led to the loss of over 50% of our company's income.

If I were an employee, I could tell you how much I earn a year but I'm sorry, I can't

tell you how much I would make next year because I don't have any guarantee about what happens

to my business.

This is tougher than you can imagine.

What's the way out?

Always be ready.

Life as an entrepreneur is similar to that of a soldier.

You can die or become a general.Hahahahaha….

N0. 3 Managing being envied by others

As an entrepreneur, because you have some level of freedom that most people may never

have, it's usual to see them envying you.

Because you may have more cash than other people, this can lead to jealousy.

How do you cope with this?

I've not actually figure it out.

If you have, I'll love to hear your opinion in the comment.

No. 4 Having to fire people

I love people and usually hate to hurt others but as an entrepreneur, unfortunately, you

hire and fire people all the time.

This is painful and I hate it but there seems to be nothing I can do about it.

No. 5 Losing a business when you least expect

Remember Nokia, Yahoo!

Or Blackberry.

Those were some of the biggest companies of the world yet they crumbled.

You may think you know the reason why these companies failed and blame anyone for their

failure but when you start running your own company, you'll see how tough it is to keep

on being relevant in a world that changes every second.

How I wish I could have my business forever!

Unfortunately, anything can happen any time and I hate this.

What's the way out?

Be prepared to keep on learning and changing, this way, you can always stay relevant and

if for any reason you lose a business, fight back and move on.

No. 6 Having to become difficult

The longer I stay in the business world, the tougher I become which I really wish I don't

have to.

But you ever see a gentle entrepreneur?

Maybe he's pretending, hahahaha…

Like seriously, entrepreneurship is as tough as war.

You deal with people every day and many of them simply want to sell you.

You have competitors who want your business dead.

You have employees who want to steal from you.

Being tough, unfortunately is the only way to build anything significant.

No. 7 Having to worry about others

If I have a job, the only thing I would worry about is my paychecks and well-being.

Having a business put more responsibilities on you.

Now you have to think and sometimes worry about your team and employees.

How would you ensure they get paid at the appropriate time?

How would you ensure that the company grows so that they could be paid better?

How would you ensure that the company doesn't fail, not just because of you, but because

of other lives that depend on it?

I hate this because it adds to the day-day worries every human has.

No. 8 Keeping records and details

I hate details and records.

I wish they are not important, but when you start a company and there are only few people

to do a million things and you have the responsibility to pay attention to some details and keep

records, if you were like me, you'll hate that.

No. 9 Not knowing the day or dates

This is very funny but true.

While in school, I usually know what the day and date is.

These days, I rarely know the difference between Saturdays and Mondays or whether today is

5th of the month or 25th.

This is not as bad as other points in this video yet, it's funny, what do you think?

No. 10 People thinking you always have money

Fe months ago when my business had a problem, I received a message from one of my friends

who needed some money and I politely explained to him that I was so broke that I was owning

my employees.

I thought such simple explanation would do until few days later I got another text from

him, asking for money with some other appeals.

People usually think that because you're an entrepreneur, you always have money while

this is not true.

Everyone gets broke sometimes but entrepreneurs would not be believed when they tell others

that they are broke.

What can anyone do about this?

I don't know.

If you have some ideas, kindly share them in the comment.

In summary, do we make this video to discourage you from being an entrepreneur?

Never!

If anything, it's to prepare your mind for the entrepreneurial journey.

This video was made to show you that there's other side of entrepreneurship.

There are tough times and tough decisions.

You'll encounter hard people and hard situations.

You'll have to do some things you hate just because that's the only way

You may have to get through.

In all, don't do evil and it shall be well with you.

Thank you very much for watching our video.

We'll like to give you another interesting video for you to enjoy next but before then,

our team will be very happy if you can like this video and share it with your friends

What $2,625 Will Get You In L.A. | Sweet Digs | Refinery29 - Duration: 6:08.

Hi, I'm Danii.

Welcome to my Sweet Digs, hidden in a jungle of green.

Before you come in, subscribe below.

Great, come on in.

I live in Beachwood Canyon in a two-bedroom apartment.

I live here with my boyfriend Fabio, and my two dogs.

It's about 900 square feet, and for rent we pay $2625.

I think that $2625 is,

I don't wanna say too little in case my landlord sees it.

When you look at all the other rents in our neighborhood

I feel like we plucked this sucker.

This here's the dining room.

The dining room I really love.

I love, love, love the chandelier.

The picture behind me

I got at a thrift store for like 30 bucks.

We both saw it at the same time

and we kind of immediately were just like,

"Yes! That's exactly what we need!"

And that doesn't often happen.

This room gets really great sun in the morning.

It's really great to sit right here and catch the natural light,

and read the newspaper.

I love the neighborhood, we're in Beachwood Canyon,

it's kinda just at the beginning

of the Hollywood Hills, under the Hollywood sign.

You're right in the middle of the city,

but you still feel kinda removed from it.

It's super communal, and I'm really into that.

I found the apartment kind of by chance.

I was actually interested in the apartment downstairs.

And when she finally did get back to us,

she let me know that that apartment was already rented,

but that she had one that really wasn't on the market yet.

And we could take a look,

it was bigger, it's on the second floor.

I pulled the trigger right then in there,

I was like we're gonna go for this apartment.

It's perfect.

And this is the kitchen.

We cook a lot.

We really love cooking.

We do a lot of salmon, and quinoa,

and bean-based things.

But I'm Italian and I love

cheese and pasta, so we also do a lot of that.

The last apartment that Fabio and I had was a huge kitchen.

And I learned how to flambé in that kitchen,

so it was really cool, but I know that if

I tried to do that here I would burn the whole apartment down.

So, this is the living room.

Shake it out.

My favorite thing about the space

is my least favorite thing about the space.

And that's the jungle behind me.

It really creates this sense of privacy,

and you feel like you're in this oasis,

rather than stuck in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard.

But also, it sucks away all of the sunlight.

So, it's kind of a double edged sword.

Living so close to the Hollywood sign is really interesting.

It's just like a fun fact

when you're driving your relatives up, or your friends

from out of town, you're just like,

and there's the Hollywood sign right in front of your face.

Kinda makes you feel a little surreal,

especially you know, living on the East Coast your whole life

and seeing the Hollywood sign,

and then seeing that you live right there,

it's just, it's kind of a cool experience.

But it's also a little frustrating because

on the weekends there's a slew of people

just kinda standing in the middle of the road

right where our car port is.

They just take out their selfie sticks.

I've seen people with tripods.

And they just stand there until they get there shot,

cars be damned, and it's just like, okay,

alright, that's what you deal with.

This is the guest room.

These are my dogs.

This is Fred, short for Alfredo,

and this is Noli, short for Cannoli.

Cannoli Ravioli.

As you can see they're pretty attached to me

and where one goes the other follows.

As long as it's following me.

We use this room as a guest room for whenever

we have relatives or friends staying from out of town.

We also read a lot in this room,

and we use it as a workout room as well.

We're both from the east coast,

so we have guests coming all the time.

My mom comes and stays with us, and his family does too.

In this corner we have this kinda,

it's like a vintage washing board that we found.

Fabio's the one that found it and brought it into the apartment.

And then I came home one day,

and he'd swapped it out with a Jimi Hendrix poster.

And it kinda started a battle,

and we like to pretend to go in there when no one's looking

and swap it out.

But I've hidden the Jimi Hendrix poster

and it will not be coming back.

What would you guys prefer on the wall.

A vintage washing board?

Or a Jimi Hendrix poster.

Reply in the comments.

I love to collect knick-knacks.

I also have some things that

my grandfather left me when he passed away

that I like to hang onto.

One of those things is this really cool phone

that I have over here,

that he used every single day.

I remember being a kid and sitting in his little,

like, side room where he always

watched TV, smoked his cigarettes,

and he'd always talk on this phone, and it was just

something that I just remembered a lot as a kid,

so it meant a lot when I got to take it.

This is the bathroom.

My biggest pet peeve about this apartment is that

we don't have a lot of storage space,

and one of the places we don't is the bathroom,

and the sink is a pedestal sink.

I cheated and I went to Ikea,

and I got some corner bookshelves, and I fused them together

so that they my under-sink storage.

This is the bedroom.

We originally didn't have a TV in the bedroom.

But we do have a lot of guests stay in the guest room.

So, the guest could kinda chill in the living room,

and we could do our own thing.

The dresser was the splurge in our apartment.

I thought it was such a cool piece

it's definitely unique,

nothing I've ever really seen before.

We didn't have anything in the apartment at the time,

so we really didn't have to worry about matching it to anything.

Fabio and I met at work a few years ago.

We both worked at an advertising agency,

and then we were both working on the same account together.

And we became friends for the first few years,

we got really really close.

So, after a few years of being friends we decided to…to date.

Fabio and I are pretty great about splitting the space, um, equally.

He's really nice and let me

keep the entire bedroom closet and dresser to myself, and

he uses the guest room dresser.

Between Fabio and I we have a pretty similar aesthetic.

Except for the fact that I like really

bright bold colors, and he's more of a neutral guy.

So, I think that the biggest challenge is really just kind of

finding the right medium.

In terms of what Fabio brings the apartment,

is the lighting guy.

And he always sets the mood,

he's very particular about wattage for light bulbs.

Every light bulb Fabio has picked out meticulously.

So, it's really nice, it sets the apartment,

and gives it a good tone.

My home style, I like casual I like comfort.

But I like things to be clean too.

So, we definitely have the mid-century modern vibe going on.

This place felt like home really quickly.

It really gives you this calming vibe,

and it makes you feel at home right away.

When we started to get all of our things in here,

we immediately just felt like

*deep exhale*

like a sigh of relief. Like, ah, we were home.
