How To Mix Polymer Clay Color Recipes Tutorial (Intro Vol-033-4) - Duration: 1:54.

Hi Guys it's Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm gonna show

you some tips and tricks for mixing color recipes.

Now as you know, Polymer Clay comes in lots of wonderful colors, but as an artist or a

crafter, it would be very limiting if we were stuck using only the colors available in the

package.

So therefore we have figured out ways to mix colors of our own, but sometimes that can

be a bit of a tricky process, and has a bit of a learning curve to it.

So what I've done, to make it easier for everyone, is I've made available color recipes where

you can just follow the recipe and end up with the colors that I've designed for you.

Now, here is an example of one of the color palettes that was based on the Johnny Jump-Up

Flower, and it's got the 4 colors here on recipes, and here is the cane that I've made

using those particular colors, now using the color recipes is a great way for making colors

that flow together really nicely.

Here's another example of a color palette, this is the Autumn Beauty Sunflower Palette

from Volume 28, and we used that to make the Spotted Lily Cane, and the colors just flow

and go wonderfully together because they were designed that way.

But there have been a few questions from people on how to actually mix up these recipes, so

I thought I'd show you how I go about it and make it easier for you.

Now, each color recipe

Pod Beads Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-030-3) - Duration: 2:27.

Hi guys its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm gonna show

you how to make Pod Beads.

And Pod Beads can be done in a variety of different ways and styles, and I'm gonna put

my own little spin on it, but the traditional way to do a Pod Bead is a Leaf Pod Bead, like

much this one here.

And this particular style of bead was made famous by the Polymer Clay Artist Karen Lewis

who's also known as Klew.

You've probably seen this style of Pod Bead out there before, but some of the ones I'm

gonna show you today are slightly different.

I've done these beads with a variety of different canes other than the leaf bead.

Here's one with a bit of a frilly almost pine cone kind of look, and it was done using the

butterfly cane… the butterfly wing cane that we did a while back.

Here's one here it's in a similar sort of chunky style with a Purple Feather cane.

Here are some longer and thinner pod style beads, and this one was done with a feather

cane, and this one was as well.

And you can see the feather cane in the Green looks a lot like a leaf, and this almost has

a bit of a flower bud shape to it.

Here's a similar long one with some leaf canes at the top, and it was done with the feather

cane here.

And then here's sort of a funky version that has more of a modern look to it, and this

one was done using the Mitered Corner cane.

And to me it almost looks like little handkerchiefs folded on the corners.

And then here are a pair of earrings here that I've done using the Glow in the Dark

Jellyroll Cane.

And to me, these almost have the look of little Fuchsia buds only with sort of a modern twist

to them with the stripes and the glowing colors.

So I think you're really gonna enjoy the possibilities with this technique.

Now all you need to have is

Polymerized Fabric Roses Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-032-3) - Duration: 2:04.

Hi Guys it's Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video, I'm gonna show

you how to make Polymerized Fabric Roses.

And they are a really pretty little rose made with the Polymerized cloth that we did in

Volume 32 - 1.

And I have a few examples of the cloth, and what it is, is a Polymerized cloth that can

be cut and made into all kinds of beautiful things.

And in today's tutorial, I'll show you how to make these roses.

Now this rose was made with a piece of Organza Ribbon that was Polymerized.

And here's another one here with some inked ribbon that we did the technique on, and this

one's sitting in a really beautiful, little Silver plated bezel.

Here is another one where I used a piece of plaid fabric, and that's the rose I'm gonna

show you today.

And one neat feature of these roses over a regular fabric rose is that, first of all,

the fabric being Polymerized means that it's much more durable, it is waterproof; it won't

get stained or discolored in any way.

Also it's a little bit stiffer, but it still has that dainty, lightweight feel to it, and

it just really, really is special.

And then this one here is done on a necklace with some Soft Flex wire.

And what's wonderful about these little roses is the lightweight feel to them, it won't

weigh down something as delicate as this Soft Flex wire, so it will sit and hang really

nicely.

Now you could also use these little roses for earrings and that kind of thing 'cause

they're so lightweight.

Now what you're gonna need for this project is

Everyday Faith: The 7 Themes of Empty Church - Duration: 4:53.

hey everybody this is sarah from empty

What good faith that doesn't speak to

every aspect of your life

one of the rules of the church is to

take the Bible and apply it to your life

you're currently living at it helps to

reconcile your past interpret your

present and gives hope to your future

the Apostle Paul puts it like this every

part of Scripture is god-breathed and

useful one way or another it shows this

truth exposes our rebellion correct our

mistakes trains us to live god's way

through the word we are put together and

shaped up for the task God has for us

not about you but I don't see anything

in here that speaks to virtual reality

American politics or working on five so

we here at empty church have put

together a few topics that you might

come face-to-face with while you're

living out your face on the six days

between sunday when the church buildings

are empty

these are the seven themes you'll find

here an empty church

this American church a place for

exploring the church in the American

context issues may get political

cultural and philosophical but it's

always personal the American church is

unique as the country and ministers to

diverse opinionated and always morphing

we do our best to interpret the kingdom

of God in a contemporary American

culture scripture spotlight we all need

help and encouragement and reading and

studying the Bible replace the spotlight

on the scripture to make it easier to

see god's word for your life

devotionals studies and tools to help

you engage your faith on the six days

between Sundays

these are the how to's how comes and how

about that from Pew to public critiquing

the church-going experience

why because we loved the church and

we're trying to figure it out for

ourselves we asked questions like are

fog machines necessary does better music

make us holier and if not why do we feel

like it's not good enough if these

things are missing questions and answers

from the few to the golden

safe and family ongoing discussion about

growing up passing on and the ties that

bind us together following Jesus is a

family affair

no matter who you call your family we

will tell you are stories about how the

faith of our families affected us both

for the good in the bath and how we are

passing on our faith to the members of

our family growing older and wiser

together with our faith and family

workplace wisdom your Christian faith is

becoming not safe for work

how can you talk faith when HR tells you

to keep quiet

we spent more hours at work that we do

almost anywhere else but is also the

place where we tend to least engage our

faith in Jesus these are the honest

discussions about honoring Jesus in the

marketplace the digital kingdom

exploring the implications of technology

in the lives of God's people it's more

black mirror and twilight zone then

light shows and webcasts is virtual

reality something that is honoring to

god what role should technology play in

the lives of the question as we become

more digitized we lose our awareness of

being made in the image of God explore

the digital cable with us

as seen on Sunday we meet together every

Sunday in Northern Virginia to worship

God through singing hearing God's Word

confession and the Eucharist celebration

we provide a recap of the sunday sermon

to encourage you in the faith each week

but it's not the same as being here it's

church as seen on sunday through these

seven categories we hope your faith in

Jesus will expand beyond simple morality

and church attendance we pray you'll

begin to see with new eyes the Jesus

wants to redeem all parts of our culture

not just the ones that fit into our tiny

religious box

the more you love Jesus to work in your

life the more you see your own call to

go out and make disciples we're glad

you're joining us on this journey this

is sarah from empty church until next

time live empty talk about your faith

Add one dollar to your electric bill to help with energy assistance program - Duration: 1:51.

I understand you also do advocacy work?

We do. We try to play a pretty active

role so there's two basic things we have

commissioned every year, a study that we

call the affordability gap study. And it

really looks at what is the real cost of

energy, both heating and electricity for

people in every community of our state.

And then what can they really afford to

pay. Especially those that are below 200

percent of the federal poverty level. Those

are the people that we're mostly looking

at. And we find that there's a 313

thousand households in our state that

can't fully afford their energy costs.

And that's important information for our

decision makers to know. Our utility

companies. And those are the kinds of the

kind of information that even our

federal and state programs need to know

about him in making allocations that are

going to work for the low-income

community.

Finally how can people help? Well there's a lot of ways to help

and there's a the first one and we love you

too to visit our website which is

www.operationfuel.org. There's a lot

of opportunities there. But probably one

of the easiest ways is through your own

utility bill where you'll see a little

thing on your bill called add a dollar. And

by literally just adding one dollar to

your bill you can help your

neighbors, because the utility

companies then pass those directly to us

which we use directly to assist

households in need

alright, so those those are two favorite

ways but I'm again I urge people to look

at our website lots of great information

on how to help.

D.I.Y. Wooden Shoe Rack - D.I.Y. At Bunnings - Duration: 2:14.

Are you sick of the family leaving their shoes lying all around the home and never being

able to find them?

The best solution to that is a wooden shoe rack.

It is so easy to make and super cost effective.

Let's make it nice and versatile and even put some casters on the bottom so it can be

wheeled into any room in the home.

These are the tools that I'm going to need to build a wooden shoe rack.

The best part about this job is I've already got my materials precut at Bunnings.

The first thing you do is assemble your framework.

We're using the long lengths for the top and bottom and the shorter lengths for the sides.

Once you've got the basic frame together, you need to make sure the edge is nice and

flush and then pre-drill and countersink.

Measure the center of your vertical piece and then fix the shelf.

These holes are also going to be countersunk which I'm going to do now.

The shelf is now ready to be placed inside the shoe rack.

You need to secure the shelf by pre-drilling and countersinking the holes.

We're going to flip this on the side because it's easier to do.

Make sure you measure to make sure it's nice and straight.

All that's left to do now is secure the casters to the base of your shoe rack.

This is the finished product.

You can paint it, varnish it, do whatever you like, but what a great way to organize

your shoes with such a simple construction.

This sleek and stylish shoe rack goes with the existing décor.

No more bending over and breaking your back to pick up random shoes in your home.

Knitting Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-032-2) - Duration: 2:00.

Well hello everyone its Cindy Lietz your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm gonna

show you how to do some Faux Knitting with your Polymer Clay.

And I've got some really neat samples of how you can make Polymer Clay look just like a

cozy knitted sweater.

I've got a cuff here that I've covered in the technique with several different little

swatches of the Faux Knit.

I've got a little pendant here which actually looks like a little sampler, and it has a

bit of a modern twist to it being in the Silver bezel.

And this is bezel that I got from Terry Morris from Epoxy Jewelry which is really quite a

neat little bezel, and it's a neat way to show the sample of Faux Knit.

I've got a couple of pair of earrings here which I've added a little eyelet to which

lends itself really nicely to the Faux Knit because generally eyelets are used with cloth,

so it really looks good with the technique.

Here's another little mitten made with the Faux Knit.

And a little tiny, tiny, little scarf charm, so this is done with really, really tiny little

knit.

Here's a little pair of mittens, you could use this as a pendant or a charm, and I've

got it hanging on the little yarn string that the little kids would have for not losing

their little mittens.

And you probably head of buttons on a sweater, well this button looks like a sweater, so

that's another use that you can use with this technique.

Now there are few ways of going about this, first of all, you're going to need

Silicon Molds Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-031-1) - Duration: 2:25.

Hi guys, it's Cindy Lietz your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm going to show

you how to make a Silicone Mold.

And the product that we're going to be working with today is called Simple Silicone, and

it's a 2 part putty based Silicone, and then you mix the 2 parts together and you get a

clay that you can work with.

Now, this particular product comes from Terry Morris from EpoxyJewelry.com, and he's the

same guy that does the UV Resin and that kind of thing, but I'll show you some examples

of what I've got here.

I've got some molds that I've made, and these are some fairly simple molds, some cabochons,

a lock…

Here's one that's been made from a brooch, and I'll show you some of the examples of

things that I've made with it.

Here is a lock that I made, and this was the original, so you can get some really good

copies made with it.

Here is a Faux Jade Medallion that I made in the one that was from the brooch.

You can also use the molds for things like Resin, this is a UV Resin with some slices

of a Gerbera Flower Cane embedded in a layer in the inside, so it has quite a unique look.

Here is a Faux Agate that was formed in the mold, so it's now a cabochon shape.

I've also done a similar… or the same shape actually, and this is a Faux Druzy, and it's

got a really neat stone look to it and some crystals in the top.

I have some smaller cabochons here.

And here's a Faux Opal that I made in the mold.

Another Faux Druzy here with some crystals in it, and another Faux Druzy here.

And what makes this particular molding material special is a few things.

First of all, because it's Silicone, it is flexible

Leaf Vein Bails Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-031-3) - Duration: 1:21.

Hi guys it's Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm going to show

you how to make Leaf Vein Bails.

And these are really neat little bails that are incorporated right into the design of

the pendant.

And I've got few examples here, this is the one that kinda started it all, I had a leftover

piece of Rainbow Skinner Blend and a small piece of wire, and I ended up incorporating

the bail right into the veining of the design, and here's the loop here where you would put

your necklace through.

Here's another example done the same way.

I've got leaf cane here used with a bail onto the side here.

I've also used a feather cane for this one, and since it's already in the leaf shape it

works out quite well for this bail.

And I've also done this one using Silver Wire and made a pair of earrings from it.

So you can see that there's quite a few different ways you can go about making these bails.

Now, what you're gonna need

Hello guys its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm going to show

you how to put Polymer Clay on Metal Blanks.

And last week we learned how to make these metal blanks here, and you can make them any

size and they're hammered metal.

And this week, I'm gonna show you how to add Polymer Clay to your blanks so that you can

make these beautiful bracelets and cuffs.

Now, you could also use this technique for any other commercially made bracelet blanks

that are out there, and there's a variety of sizes, some that are very skinny and some

that are quite wide.

Gingham Cane Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-031-4) - Duration: 1:21.

Well hello guys its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video, I'm going

to show you how to make a Gingham Cane.

And this is a really neat little extruded cane that you can do in lots of different

colors, and I have a few different examples here.

I have one in the Turquoise colors.

And here's the same one, only reduced and combined into a smaller pattern.

I also have it in Red and Yellow, you can do this in any colors that you like.

I've got quite a few different beads here to show you that I made with the Gingham Cane.

And I've got some cubes here, some rounds, they make great looking buttons, I've got

a little couple of little buttons here.

Here's some little charms in Red.

You can even make Lentil beads with the Gingham Cane, and it turns out quite neat.

And I've got some of these little split hearts with the Turquoise center and the cane on

the outside, so you can see that there's lots that you can do with this simple cane.

Now, we're going to use
